The YOIONWAX series continues!

The fourth record is an EP with four tracks from a young and very talented artist from The Netherlands - Artmann.

Artmann has been producing music since a young age and grew up developing his experience of multiple musical genres which he has implemented into his own styles, making him an all-round producer. Artmann's handwriting in house music is recognized and loved by listeners all over the world.

The year 2020 has been a powerful breakthrough in the industry for him, as evidenced by the many releases on Rendr, Houbless Music, Surge, Ovrdose Deep, Slightly Sizzled, Pitch, Rawesome Deep and others.

2021 is starting just as powerfully for this lad. Along with several digital releases on Rich Got Jacked, Purism, Elrow, Metafloor, HedzUp, the beginning of the year sees the release of his first own vinyl record - YOIONWAXOO4 on YOI! This record is the perfect ending to winter, tracks that will warm you up and put you in the mood for spring.

Don't forget. The classic, already legendary, animated artwork of our YOIONWAX series will come alive when you look at it through your phone camera with the flash on. Next on Miriam steps up tech house maestro Ollie Drummond. With previous releases on esteemed Wiggle records and Rob Pearson’s Evasive Records, he continues his run of form with a funky sleek all round fresh release with the Snout & About EP. Starting off with the grooving stripped-back Out Grazing, funky haunting chords splash around a wobbly lead that’s guaranteed to stick in your head for days after the party is done. Next up is the ominous Tunnel Music, which takes you in and out with low swung filters and snappy synth hits. The final track from Ollie comes with The Clock Shop, which features a trippy, low-slung late-night workout seemingly designed to catch you off guard. Finishing off the ep comes a cracker of a remix from Antony Difrancesco, which takes Out Grazing to a more club ready cut with early morning chords to complete this well polished ep

Deepnosis’ second release is based on the concept of duality: 3 tracks, each born from two producers working together.

Aleandro created a deep and mysterious track that develops into an intriguing woodwind alike melody.

Sonet Music presents it's first VA offering with 3 new artists to the label, ckb, Dudley Strangeways and Mortalyf and two previous artists Ciprian Stan and Sonet's debut artist Gruia make up the set. Vivus Records comes back strongly in 2020 with a release from one of the most interesting names in the Romanian underground. Macarie’s rise in the last couple of years has been fast and impressing, having played alongside important names like Priku or Cesar Merveille. He makes his debut on Vivus in style.

Merluciu, the first track, doesn’t mess around. Its starts off heavy with all the eclectic elements coming togheter in a lovely sync, one by one. A little acid touch here, some edgy bass lines there and the result is one piece of music that keeps adding elements as it moves on.

The acid vibe kicks it up a notch on the second track, Shure. It begins calmly, but again, Macarie adds layer of layer making for a complex sound that will immerse you in its cosmic journey.

We take a swift left turn with the last one here. Trip Chop is truly something else. A deep, chill acid journey perfect for some lazy & sunny after hours at an outdoor party, in the middle of the summer. This is the kind of music that stimulates your imagination.

Vault Series founder Subjected releases his sophomore album entitled 'Mother' on his Subjected Systems featuring ten ambient, leftfield and techno cuts this March.

An essential figure within Berlin's techno scene, Subjected has released on ARTS, the enigmatic STOOR and his very own Vault Series. Subjected Systems is a newer project which has so far hosted two releases, one from Transient X4 and another collaborative effort between Subjected and Andrejko.

The label showcases a post-industrial era, that keeps ties to the underground scene that gave birth to it but signals its occupation of a different realm than its predecessor. Subjected now returns with his second album for the label's third release. Entitled 'Mother', the longplayer came to fruition after Subjected became a father himself - inspired by processing the changes that were not
only happening around him, but to his partner and a new life.

Instigating proceedings, unearthly drones pave way for ominous risers in 'Untrue', before the electric 'You Know Nothing' thunders in, where buzzy leads are shaped by heartbeat kicks dictating capricious pace. 'Algorithm Lies' bounces with an erratic hollow bass while real organ samples render a dramatic tone, leading into the sinister 'Purification' with its ripping synths and clinical drums. An oscillating bassline joins stylish open hats in 'Nothing is Sure', making way for the luscious tones of 'The Lullaby of Marian' with its beautiful arps until 'Mother' generates infectious rhythm with intricate FX patterns over a steady kick. Nearing the end, 'Bloodborne Pathogen' offers a retro arpeggiated synth that meticulously develops and modulates throughout, before 'Trope' offers refreshing clarity with hopeful chords fluttering above heavily distorted yet distant drums. Finally 'Everything Should Be Fine Now' rounds things off with an exquisite ambient drone.

Tamango Records 12th release is undoubtedly its biggest one to date because Yaya's debut album "You Decide" is getting a massive remix treatment by 4 real heavyweights of the house music panorama.
The first remix is entrusted to a long friend of the label and one of the most iconic figures over the last 20 years, Loco Dice. The Desolat boss heads to trippy directions for his version of "Black Mamba", which is dominated by bubbling minimal percussions, swingy dirty hi-hats and pressing shakers, wrapping an 8+ minutes ride that will keep you hooked on the dancefloor.

Next up, Spanish groover Cuartero turns "One Way" into a heady dancefloor tool that features swinging rhythms and energetic grooves throughout, mainly focusing on the mighty bassline and a compelling bold pace.

On the flip, FUSE head-honcho Enzo Siragusa re-arranges the meandering moves from “Be Yourself” into a tremendous basements destroyer, within which the vocals are combined with hi-pitched synths to increase the drama right before an impressive "hands up, heads down" drop pours on the crowd with a grain of UKG flavour.
Rounding off the package is the formidable S.A.M. who delivers one of his many club anthems: the original bassline bursts back into life again, and so do the juicy vocals that inevitably lead the track into a massive breakdown guided by his trademark catchy lead to form something that’s built solely for the dancefloor.

Stepping up from his studio in Berlin, it's the iconic French producer Okain who takes the opportunity to showcase his quality craftsmanship on 2 lovely original cuts with support on the remixes by UK's Brawther and the imprints very own Chris Stussy. The A side comprises of the cultured groover Tinker and the polished frequencies of Foursquare, perfectly suited for any nighttime endeavors. On the backside it's the Tinker Re-funk of Brawther thats adds another engaging layer while Chris Stussy's treatment of Foursquare shows his reputation as a dub specialist.

German talents Júlio Cruz and Momo Arigato join forces for a superb new deep house release for Istanbul based imprint Petra, with each artist taking care of two originals each.

Cologne based Júlio's tracks are close to the dance floor with a chill vibe that really makes a mark. His opener Chercher La Nuit is a bubbling house cut with a warm and fat bassline. Lush chords bring light and emotion and carry you away. Dancing Love Affair has a big heart with soulful chords and disco tinged beats getting you moving.

Leipzig's Momo Arigato's tracks represent the pure side of house music with sampled elements bringing them alive and have come on labels like Friend in Need and Bigbait before now.. Mario's Rhythm is a raw, DIY groove with rough edged kicks and blasts of bass that are smoothed out with lush chords and experimental modulated sounds. Don't Believe is a dreamy track with cloudy pads and lumpy beats that are perfectly atmospheric and authentic. This then is a killer Ep.

Streetgemz celebrate their first Anniversary throwing their first Vinyl release with four edits which have had been rinsed from Panorama Bar to Space Miami over the past 12 months finally see the light of day.

Runemark Records proudly presents twenty third release containing beautiful EP from Rafael Cerato & Ikarius featuring Liu Bei called “Distant Planets”. Release also holds two remixes from Mario Basanov and Phun Thomas.

Rafael Cerato’s collaboration with Ikarius and Liu Bei’s heavenly vocals makes it a perfect debut on Runemark. The original composition sounds tight and melodic, the sequenced bass gives Italo-Disco flavor, and the sweet vocals builds soulful atmosphere.
Mario Basanov’s vocal remix captures his unique Disco feeling and opens the B side of the vinyl. Beautifully crafted instrumentation and warm timbres mixes up with funky rhythmics creates an easy listening as well as groovy dance floor tune.

Romania’s Victor Stancov inaugurates his Simple Tracks imprint this
October with the ‘Apollo’ EP, backed with a remix from Wareika.

Victor Stancov is a producer and DJ hailing from the coastal region of
Constanta, Romania, a country that’s become synonymous with the
stripped-back twist in contemporary house Stancov delivers here via his new label simple:tracks. As the name would suggest, the label’s aim is to find pleasure and joy in the simple things, delivering dance floor focused cuts for groove seekers.

To launch simple:tracks Stancov himself steps up to deliver two
originals on the debut 12’’ and up first is titlecut ‘Apollo’, laid out
over six and a half minutes with an amalgamation of choppy chord
sequences, swinging percussion and subtly nuanced bass to create a
hypnotic introduction. The second original ‘Delos’ follows, retaining a
similarly ethereal aesthetic courtesy of snaking dubbed out synths,
winding pads and a bumpy bass hook. To round out the release Wareika deliver their interpretation of ‘Delos’, and as expected from the German minimal maestro’s the guys delivery a typically unique twist on things. Reshaping the originals synth elements while stirring in intricately modulating percussion and tripped out metallic synth chimes to complete the package.

Oliver Schories & Jan Blomqvist present ‘Packard’, a gripping and emotion-driven piece, where they imagine ‘what would happen if the world stopped turning for a year’. Despite Jan and Oliver being friends for years now, it was when they both shared the booth at fabric London that the idea of a collaboration came up. Ultimately, both artists were tied-up on upcoming album projects and air-tight touring schedules. It was only when all concerts were slowly canceled in March 2020, that the notion gained traction until it materialized.

Time for the next instalment of our wax releases, DJ W!LD brings his Trans Europe Express to Roushlabel and it will be only the third release to feature a vinyl option as well as digital. The EP comes with three original tracks and remix from none other than Hanfry Martinez.

‘Half Way’ opens the release with an unexpected hint of rainy-day, coffee shop Jazz. The creative underbelly of the track is a culmination of long strings, emotive keys, Vinyl crackle and a cleverly cut vocal sample from an interview with Mobb Deep. Beyond that, the track exhibits pumping drum patterns, a subtle yet groovy sub and progressive layers of percussion as the record advances. A unique and truly special piece of music.

‘Trans Europe Express’ has a driven, locomotive feel to it. Rattling hats, punchy kick drums and a bright bassline team up with hints of acid and yet more creative, analogue sampling within the breaks. Another massively exclusive creation from DJ W!LD, showcasing his ability to put the ‘art’ back into ‘artist’.

Next up, ‘Peecome’ brings an 80’s-inspired vibe. The sentimental sounds of Roland’s original TR-808 and reminiscent sampling are laced with a powerful 4x4 beat in places and deconstructed for more of a swung rhythm in others. Carrying on the trend of the undeniably talented thought process when it comes to the arrangement and offering something truly different, capable of really turning some heads and pleasing the purists.

Lastly, Hanfry Martinez’s remix of ‘Trans Europe Express’ takes a deep dive into the rapidly growing realm of underground deep/minimal house. Dreamy pads pierce through a rough and ready combo of thudding kicks, arpeggiated synth lines, vocal cuts and of course a gritty,
attitude-laden sub bass factor. A solid roller with plenty of individual personality!

Derek Carr is back at it with "Right Time, Right Place" on WSS009, a testimony to what most would consider vintage and ageless by now. Grooving in all the right places with Giuliano Lomonte also chopping up and dubbing things down with his remix of "Tiger", Derek lines up 3 very different tracks that bring to light his quirky, dubby, heavy footed yet dreamy and blissful environment.

As one of our very first and currently longest serving EWax residents this release for Just_Me has been a long time coming! presenting his signature energetic approach to the third offering on our White Series.

He brings his A game over two full power, groove induced cuts and we are happy to say Swedish maestro Per Hammar joins us for the first time with an exceptionally crafted remix on the B side.

'We continue our journey into a new musical chapter as we present the first instalment of our vinyl only series. From the off we set out to bring a dark, yet groovy energy in the form of Vadim Oslov. Deriving from France he has built a reputation for his signature percussive style with deep obscure baselines; accompanied by influences from contemporary music and organic sounds to create mysterious experimental atmospheres with a minimal touch. He sets the tone perfectly for the first three tracks with a consistency to his unique sound.

Needing no introduction to the underground minimal scene, we are pleased to welcome Vid as he provides us with a driving remix filled with twisted organic sounds conducted with sharp, crispy drums to finish off the EP in good fashion. For now we will let the music do the rest of the talking, enjoy.'

In 2017, Markus Homm and his romanian partner in crime Mihai Popoviciu, successfully launched our Still Hot label with their "Insomnis EP". Followed by his solo releases "Don't Know Why" and "Pleasure", we are now looking forward to the Still Hot 20, which features two great original tracks, as well as a superb Mihai Popoviciu remix.

The title track "Once again" is reminiscent of the hit "Insomnis". A playful arpeggio gives the track a nice vibe, paired with dub sounds, vocal shreds and a groovy house bassline a la Homm.

Mihai's remix is close to the original, but gives the track a more aggressive touch.

The deep house track “Bora" closes the SH-20 and we are super happy about this great package for our anniversary release

Pretty Bouncy is a sub-label from Love & Loops Records.
In this new adventure we are focused on something we describe like Micro-Bumping-Groovy-Housy-Music.

The first V.A includes music from Prodot, Miguel Puente, Agus Ferreyra & Trentz and label owner Ale Castro.

Equally deep and dancefloor friendly, a groover for the soulful moments of the dancefloor. „Latex“ preents a trippy and monotone drumming sequence which is screwing into your brain with a big climax. Savor’s 2021 first release has the Uruguayan wonder girl, Ema Remedi. On this EP she provides us to 2 tracks with her signature sound. ‘Virazon’ is one of her biggest tracks up to date and definitely a dancefloor smasher, while ‘Nothing Tolouse’ is a subtle and hypnotic roller. On remix duties we have Voigtmann, who reworked ‘Virazon’ adding his typical eerie touch while maintaining the dancefloor energy intact.

DeepnosiS’ very first release has been developed by the Sardinian producer Hubble that, with his intriguing sounds and personality, purely represents the essence of the label. The EP opens up with a journey outside the borders of reality where “Antidote” recreates an engaging soundscape of surprises. Side B continues with slower rhythms introducing “Samply Perc” a trippy and almost palpable track. Finally, deep atmosphere pads in “Ozone” flow into a progressive ride of percussions developing into a downtempo techno concept.

Seattle vinyl imprint Rhizome Records presses its second release: Mithra AM. Longtime Seattle favorite Summit Dub provides the title track “Mithra AM” with side B featuring two remixes via our Romanian friends. Cosmin Năstasă aka Cosmjn and BRYZ are two of the brightest talents in Romanian minimal, each offering an intriguing take on “Mithra AM”.

“Mithra AM” on side A patiently gathers steam, generating tension alongside an alluring vocal that calls out to ethereal morning hours. As the atmosphere expands in the second half of the track warmth arrives in lush waves.

Cosmjn’s remix is up first on side B of the EP, picking up the pace and dipping into afterhours moods. Enveloping bass suspends lingering threads of the side A original while an acid melody charges into new territory.

Side B closes out with BRYZ’s remix which lightens the mood and adds a playful bounce and mysterious flashes of tribal sounds. BRYZ’s treatment caps a versatile EP designed to captivate exploratory dance spaces.

KONTENT continues its impressive run of vinyl releases, as it welcomes a slew of rising Romanian producers to its new VA.
Featuring the compelling sounds of Chivru, Hippex (Hipp and Alex Ungureanu), Kiva & Sonohat, KONTENT showcases the depth of talent on offer in Romania’s underground circles. Opening with the dulcet tones of Chivru’s ’Heyday Of Youth’, the Ep traverses an eclectic and altogether groovy sonic aesthetic. Continuing with the sexy, baseline laden ’Drowning By The Light’ by Hippex things escalate as we soar onwards and into Kivva’s dreamy cut ‘1st Century, landing firmly in the grip of Sonohat’s gritty, melancholic cut ‘Modelar. Another firm and fitting statement for KONTENT, as the label proves the talent isn’t just at the top
