'Sunshine' EP is the debut release from J-Rap crew Akadama Bros. They are fronted by Taigen Kawabe singer and bassist with London-based Japanese noise rockers Bo Ningen. Music production is via Teppei Ozawa aka Fuffie Daddy from Hamburg-based alternative Hip Hop group Hallo Werner Clan. Teppei has also released music under the alter-ego Miss Hawaii on labels like Storage Records and 19-t. The EP also features Tokyo based MC Chinza Dopeness who is signed to EMI Japan. This EP also features two remixes of Sunshine, the first from Technoman aka Shex (Clock Hazard/19-t) , and a second by Candie Hank aka Patric Catani (Shitkatapult/Digital Hardcore).

After an explosive Comeback in 2019 with their album "STILL", the Clear Soul Forces are back with their best work to date "Forces With You". The 10-track Magnum Opus continues to show how the team work & sound of the Detroit quartet can constantly evolve.

The groups producer Ilajide brings his signature hard hitting drums to the plate, and meshes them seamlessly with a tenacious funk inspired sound. The result of the pairing is a sonic landscape that is hard to compare to say the least. The group’s ability to interchange- and play off each other’s rhymes are on full display on "Forceswithyou".

Group member Emile Vincent says it best.. "This is the album where our synergy was on full display. We truly recorded in a groove." Every element of Hip-Hop is on display from the battle rap influenced intro "Gimmie the Mic", to the groove inducing single "Chip$".

Mike Redman's Deformer project has achieved cult status throughout the years. Known for its extreme, horror infused electronic music and surprising collaborations with groundbreaking musicians, visual artists and film studios, Deformer keeps reinventing its sound while keeping its signature aesthetics. Consistent in being outrageous... with the new record "Inner-Outcast" musical boundaries are being crushed, again with a little help from some heavyweight invitees. On four of six tracks Deformer's fierce breakbeats enter into a deadly duel with the live drums of legendary ex-Suffocation drummer and blastbeat pioneer Mike Smith. Vernon Reid of Living Colour lays down some menacing guitar solos, Body Count's Ice-T provides some threatening words and many more legends are making "Inner-Outcast" an original, intense and above all, an unpolished release. A special appearance is made by iconic Hollywood actor Tony Todd, providing a haunting vocal performance as horror villain Candyman. Oh, and the cherry on top is definitely the amazing cover art by visual artist Ed Repka, known for his classic artwork for legendary bands like Death and Megadeth. "Mndsgn" loops segue music exclusively from an iconic television show that did indeed switch actresses for the mother, somewhere in the middle of the series. Although not very seamless, this sudden switch was a catalyst for what the dynamic duo would eventually decide to title their project. Complete with 17-tracks, featuring close collaborators, Zeroh, Jonwayne, Quelle Chris & more, Vivians embodies the flavor and timelessness of a golden age.

Leeds-based 6-piece band Paper Tiger is without a doubt one of the most eclectic acts on Wah Wah 45s' roster. This creative collective's audible aesthetics feature a wide-range of sounds: from futuristic hip hop beats to funky and danceable electronic breaks, infused with grime and post- dubstep vibes, and topped up with witty wordplay.

Blast Off is Paper Tiger's second album, following their 2013 debut Laptop Suntan, and it represents a big step-up for the project, the result of refining and defining their process and sound, making it funkier, more live-sounding and experimental than their previous work. The band's distinctive playing is nicely supported by a heavy string of guests, such as Grammy-winning vocalist and producer Shafiq Husayn (Sa- Ra, White Boiz), teenage underground wunderkind Chester Watson, and Stones Throw signee Pyramid Vritra (Odd Future), making Blast Off a genre-defying showcase of flows, rhythms and improvising skills.

The album was mastered by LA's beat scene lynchpin Daddy Kev, founder of Low End Theory and owner of Alpha Pup Records (Flying Lotus, Brainfeeder).

Cult favourite Submorphics delivers his long awaited debut album “Kodak Dreams” on Amsterdam imprint The North Quarter. 15 year veteran producer Greg Axelrad has been one of America's premiere exports when it comes to Soulful Drum & Bass. His unmistakable 'smoked-out' take on the genre has made him a fan favourite for years. After his The North Quarter debut “Detroit Haze” early 2018, he now returns with his most ambitious project yet: “Kodak Dreams”. Written during a time of great personal highs and lows, his debut album is easily his most personal body of work. The Michigan native drew inspiration from his transatlantic journey and childhood memories to paint this musical memoir.

'Inspired by the treasure-trove of nostalgia I brought with me from Detroit, I plugged away at my own brand of D&B, hip-hop and neo-soul music in my new studio in the city of The Hague.' Submorphics explains. 'Cherished childhood photos reminded me of my roots: funky breakbeats and lush soul samples that I blasted out of my cheap boombox long before I knew what a sampler was. These old photos ended up deeply inspiring the album sessions, and even started permeating my dreams as I slept each night.”

A multi-genre piece that features vocals from frequent collaborators Big Brooklyn Red, SelfSays, T.R.A.C. and Christina Tamayo, brings together Soulful Drum & Bass and LA / Detroit flavoured Beats with an easy elegance. The 20th Anniversary of The Slim Shady LP is set to release on 3LP 180 gram vinyl and 2CD on 13th December, 2019 in an updated Expanded Edition including bonus tracks, rarities, a capella’s, freestyles, and instrumentals. Originally released on 23rd February, 1999 The Slim Shady LP turned Eminem from an underground rapper into a high-profile celebrity. The album featured production from Dr. Dre, the Bass Brothers, and Eminem himself. The Slim Shady LP is his first album with a major label after his first album Infinite was released on an independent label in 1996. The majority of the album’s lyrical content is written from the perspective of the rapper’s alter ego Slim Shady, whom the rapper created on the Slim Shady EP (1997). The Slim Shady LP went on to be certified quadruple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and has sold over 18 million copies worldwide.

A 2xLP re-issue of the seventh album from the hip-hop pioneers, De La Soul. Originally released in 2004, the album features a top line array of guest spots including Ghostface Killah, Sean Paul, Flava Flav and producer J Dilla (A Tribe Called Quest). Unlike their other albums, The Grind Date doesn’t include any ‘skits’ or interludes, it is considered pure quality with no filler. Pitchfork placed the album at number 31 on the "Top 50 Albums of 2004" list.

Fredfades & Sun Raw are keeping alive the gritty, analogue sound with 12-bit drums and loops but with their own unique style. Fred has been working with KingUnderground for the last 3 years and has a flock of releases. Sun Raw from Stockholm, Sweden is new to the crew but about to drop his debut "Beat Weeks". The duo are both part of Mutual Intentions crew and find inspiration from old music, from Jazz, funk, soul, rock and anything they find in the crates.

Planet Asia has been affiliated with KU from early on with a release and some features. Some MC's have been left behind, Asia isn't one of those. He's been kicking out better and better verses since he first showed up on the scene in the early 90's and it doesn't look like he's stopping anytime soon.

Following the release of Puppy's critically acclaimed debut album, The Goat, the band decided to record in Hackney's (largely analogue) Holy Mountain Studios, around the corner from the rehearsal space where they first started making music together, to create their third EP "iii".

Musicians Jock, Will & Billy instead approached iii as a stand-alone six-tracker (plus two interludes), tackling material conceived for purpose - songs that waste no time in getting to the point, recorded quickly and essentially live to capture chemistry, spirit plus a more frayed and brutal set of sonics.

After breaking out of the Bay Area underground scene in the early 90s Del The Funky Homosapien made a radical turn with his sophomore release, 93’s "No Need For Alarm.” Casting aside the familiar G-funk vibe of his debut, perhaps as “No Need” was produced without the involvement of his cousin Ice Cube, he moved into a jazzier – some would say more East Coast direction on this project. The verbal content on “No Need” shifted as well, moving away from comic interludes and towards a focus on battle raps. “No Need For Alarm” was produced with his Oakland based Hieroglyphics Crew with Domino, A-Plus and Casual all contributing beats making the record one of the three “Hiero Golden Age” releases (along with Souls of Mischief’s “’93 til Infinity” and Casual’s “Fear Itself”). Though some critics are harsh on “No Need For Alarm” and claim it's not as strong an effort as Del’s debut, many disagree and see this release as being the first where Del really stood out. Regardless of which side of the fence one falls on that topic, it's without doubt that "No Need For Alarm" has stood the test of time and remains a challenging and uncompromising follow up from one of the most talented and eccentrically gifted artists to to ever emerge from the world of west coast hip hop.

There are very few Mc’s in the UK rap game as engrained into the culture as Ramson Badbonez. Rising through the ranks as one of the most cut throat MC’s London had ever seen at 14, it wasn’t long before people started to take notice of the young talent, gathering London wide respect as well as getting recognition from UK Hip Hop godfathers Task Force. The rhyming machine has been a living and breathing embodiment of the culture ever since. By far one of the most prolific creators in the scene, Ramson Badbonez employs one of the strictest work ethics ever seen with over 12 full length albums to his name and showing no signs of slowing down.

On the 28th of February, Badbonez will present his latest work, a brand new album, with producer & long time collaborator Mark Fear, entitled ‘Death Mask’. Following his previous ‘Jason Bonez’ & ‘Mic Day The 13th’ releases, Badbonez has removed the hockey mask to don the Egyptian Death Mask, as he leaves the Jason Bonez moniker behind to focus on a much broader palette of concepts and inspiration.

With topics ranging from the mysteries of the afterlife, the energy crisis to the lasting effects of colonialism to the failings of modern language - Badbonez has left no stone unturned. Fearlessly launching himself into the deep end, covering new ground and constructing incredibly dense prose perfectly matched by Mark Fear’s diverse yet crisp sound.

The 10th release on 45 Live Records. For this, we’re going to surprise people with a hip house/acid house 45 from Finnish producer Dan Kaipio aka Type-303. Type-303 is a one-man project based in Tampere, Finland. He creates music for the love of acid and the classic Roland TB-303 sound mixed with various genres.

The sound of Type-303 is inspired by various styles of music from classic 80s acid to 90s rave to the house sound of today. In addition to producing, he is an avid vinyl collector and DJ and can be found spinning vinyl at underground parties across Finland.

45 Live and Type-303 came together due to a post on Facebook about his last record by DJ Food (a fellow acid house collector), we got in touch and managed to buy the last copy of that particular release direct from Dan in Finland. In those communications we dropped the question “would you like to do a 45 for us?”, and he said, “sure, why not!”. So with Dan on board to record for the label we decided that resurrecting the much loved yet fleeting hip-house sound tinged with
ska was the way to go, along with a strictly heavyweight acid tune on the B side.

For ‘Sticky Disko’, we wanted to create a classic late 80’s straight-up party cut, ska acid, a bouncy floor filler. Meanwhile, the B side ‘Analog Acidbath’ had one rule to follow, and that was “make it acid”. So cue up one seriously funky and heavily layered 303 workout aimed directly at the dancefloor, no holds barred.

On the 31st of January, we are putting out our first release of 2020 - the highly anticipated Onoe Caponoe's 'Invisible War'! From the outset, ‘INVISIBLE WAR’ is a different beast. From the offset the listener is brought to an alternative universe than that of ‘Surf Or Die’. Despite having the same team behind the production, they have crafted a unique sound for this record which serves Onoe perfectly as he wages his ‘INVISIBLE WAR’ over beautifully constructed, yet menacing, instrumentation.
