Body Movement hits it's 5th release with Matt Farrows One For Bill EP. Matt known to many as Kepler starts the A side running with 3 solid 4/4 house tracks designed to destoy any dancefloor! On the flip we have his more daker electo alias Relpek with two Electro tracks One for Bill and Mind, showing his deeper side to his productions. We think Matt will be a staple name on many lineups in the future and his talent and production skills are shown on this stellar EP

Parcels have always been a band of extreme light and shade: they’re from surf hotspot Byron Bay in Australia but they’ve been holed up in grimy nightlife utopia Berlin for years; their sweet-as-honey vocal harmonies rival the Beach Boys but they can also turn their live shows into slamming techno rave-ups. The twentysomethings stand out amid the current musical landscape: a soulful rock band that looks like it’s stepped out of a postcard from 1970s California, all flares, moustaches and shaggy hair. They’re a classic band for atypical times.

Since Crommelin, keyboardist Louie Swain, keyboardist/guitarist Patrick Hetherington, bassist Noah Hill and drummer Anatole ‘Toto’ Serret formed in 2014, fresh out of school, they’ve struck upon a singular sound, weaving together gossamer disco and exotica, soft rock and Sixties pop with a focus on uplifting grooves. Their seductive style has translated into 100,000 album sales worldwide, over 200 million streams, cross-continental tours, shows with French royalty Phoenix and Air, a US TV debut on Conan O’Brien, a Coachella slot and a debut single that was produced by none other than Daft Punk, who saw them live in Paris and ushered them into their studio.

After two EPs, 2015’s Clockscared and 2017’s Hideout (the band’s penchant for smooshing words together is a result of a broken keyboard when they submitted their first demo), Parcels’ acclaimed self-titled debut album came in 2018 and was called “timeless and devilishly fun'' in a five-star NME review. They followed it in 2020 with an impressive live album, Live Vol.1, recorded at Hansa Studios, the legendary studio where Iggy Pop and David Berlin hung out during their Berlin years.

The band returns for summer 2021 with an ambitious third studio album,
Day/Night, a double record that spans impossibly catchy disco-soul, prog, pastoral folk, Laurel Canyon-era classic songwriting and cinematic strings. Made over the course of 2020, when the world was at a standstill, it’s the sound of a band growing up; five guys who’ve known each other since childhood and are finding their way together, in spite of all the major obstacles the last 18 months have thrown at them, when they were unable to return home to Australia and see their loved ones. Day/Night is huge in scope and sound, and its hopeful messages of perseverance through difficult times are a balm for these uncertain times.

Hot as ice! Electronic dub versions & bonus beats of Froid Dub’s first EP.

The eighth part of the beloved Sampler series by The Very Polish Cut Outs is a love letter to the 90's of the last century, when, after more than 40 years, Poland finally became a democratic country and most Poles were experiencing the good and bad sides of wild capitalism.

It was also the teenage years for the majority of the producers and DJ's associated with the label and also the time of various musical experiments on the Polish music scene.
The new 12" from the ongoing series contains 4 new edits/remixes of some obscure tracks from the repertoire of several more and less known artists from the Polish scene.
This time the editing/remixing work is done by DJ Duch, Pejzaz and a new promising producer from Szczecin - who goes by the nickname - Speek.

The idea for a remix LP came about following the incredibly positive reception that greeted “The Flow Across Borders” upon its release in May last year. After the services of The Orb and Richard Norris were secured by the label, Frazer and Ali asked some of their favourite artists on Castles in Space to contribute remixes for the project, which subsequently grew into a wonderful overview of both the scope and diversity of the band’s output and the skill and sensitivity of the remixers. Frazer Brown: “As the tracks started to come in, we realised that this collection was going to be something very special. The Orb remix is classic Orb, Richard Norris’ contribution is pure bliss, and the fact that this is the first official remix that Concretism has ever done is especially thrilling. Every track is astounding…”

Ali O’May and Frazer Brown met in early 2018 while performing with their respective bands at an Electronic Music Open Mic (EMOM) gig in Edinburgh. With obvious common interests, further discussions lead a few months later to Ali passing Frazer a USB drive filled with stems recorded directly from Ali’s vast modular system. Across August and September 2019, Frazer used about a dozen of those stems as the foundation for a set of tracks, building them into fully realised pieces across a range of styles from techno, lo-fi, breaks, acid house and ambient. And thus was born the Dohnavúr method - Ali coaxing the raw materials from his modular set up and Frazer working them up instinctively with his encyclopaedic knowledge of electronic music into tracks for which the feel, genre and direction is inspired by Ali’s foundational building blocks.

Sleeve artwork is once again handled by Mark Hall.

The first vinyl release from s2i Recordings introduces Fader Cap (previously Sedgwick). An existential trip across 3 tracks recorded in one 12 hour session, with the source material written for live-performance in early 2021. Heavy on the 303, with rhythmic propulsion for the breaks-inclined heads. Tinged with heavy nostalgia for the atmosphere of DIY sound systems in the Australian bush.

London-based retroverts Art Of Dark return with a wicked double header here for their third vinyl release. Antonin Hifda aka Daif takes up the A side, offering up the hardcore rave reductions of "Another Version Of The Truth" followed by the deep down Detroit styled electro beats of "Devil". On the flip, it's all about newcomers DC EFX who follow through with the electro bass vibe on the absolutely booming "Expansionz", before closing with the bass-driven acid techno "The Roller Express".

Dojo Zone comes through with his first EP. Four cuts drifting between melancholic electro to more driven beats infused with breaks intended for the dance floor. Born in the UK and raised on the balearic island of Mallorca, Dojo has been keeping a low profile for quite some time, both working on the craft of programming drum machines, and finding a balance between reality and his beloved synth induced voyages. Mastered at Analogcut.

Down2House number one contains three raw house tracks between 1989-1995, reworked and reedited in 2014 by Sacha Robotti, Mr. Ho and Luca Lozano.

As Typeless steps into its fourth release, label head Aloka turns eyes and ears to the horizon with a shapeshifting drop of breakbeat, electro and ambient. Fusing together textural arrangements and genre hybrids, he sets his sights on experimentation with ‘Inta’.

The opening track ‘Inta’ moves with a dreamy, indirect gaze and wistful melodies as though sighing itself into existence. Amongst it all sits a subtle beat which carries it into the dancefloor realm, yet it’s when they apex together that its weight blooms from the core. ‘B4-XL’ begins almost as an ensuing chapter to its predecessor with its ambient washes, but soon ripens into an antagonistic electro number that tumbles between raging synths and breaks.

On the B-side, ‘Chroma’ diffracts into a million colours, glassy eyed in its introduction but hiding tyrannica kicks and syncopations underneath a swooping bass. The closing track ‘Movement’ slinks straight into a workout-ready guise, merging panting exhalations, pearly synths and choppy breakbeats against the sensation of a spectral figure reaching a deep state of flow.

With this second self-release on the label, it’s as though Aloka is so deeply immersed in his complex vision that he’s stepped out of his body to watch it all unfold. There’s one word to describe this image of him in his effortless performance as both label curator and signee: fitting.

Returning to the full-length format with the second album THIS SIDE OF PARADISE (KOMPAKT 335 CD 126) in October, COMA never stray far from their well-established modus operandi: rich in melodic and rhythmic content, the new material appeal to fans who love their music at home and in the club. Lead single LORA is no different: a truly refined electronic pop gem from artists commanding their craft with confidence and style, bolstered by powerful, glistening revamps from electronic luminaries PIONAL and ROBAG WRUHME.

Critically acclaimed artist, producer and NTS radio host Kit Grill is set to release his new album 'Spirit' on the 18th February 2022 via his own imprint Primary Colours.

Having received glowing praise from electronic music tastemakers including Boiler Room, Resident Advisor, Electronic Sound, The Ransom Note, Headphone Commute, Inverted Audio and more, Grill's endless enthusiasm to write and produce music has seen him amass a rich and varied catalogue taking in influences including acid house, new wave, post-punk, ambient, electronica and techno.

Kit Grill's new album Spirit is a reflective collection of songs written and produced at the same time as 2020's Fragile. "The aim was to write an album completely different to Fragile, something much slower and open. I wanted to have a real distinction between the 2 records and producing them at the same time helped create this difference in sound and pace. Where Fragile is about maintaining an energy, Spirit is about creating a sparse uncluttered world." Spirit moves between hope and grief, transforming Grills personal experiences into a stillness of shimmering beauty.
