Relentless and elusive french producer NairLess reveals his first solo EP released on the first vinyl of the label he co-founded, Aurore 404.

Two breakbeat-y groovers, a cosmic, fast-paced remix by Sichuan, and a slice of acido-disco to finish it off.. Looks like this piece of wax is ready to spin on your turntables!

So Gerd and Philipp were due to play XOYO one saturday night and the club is 6 minutes from my studio so I suggested we go there first to make tunes for a few hours. We made 2 songs that night and one of them is 'reach out'. Gerd did the drums on my 808, Philipp wrote the beautiful lead part on my OBXa and I did the bass in my cs80. I added the words a couple of weeks later, they are inspired by Leonard Cohen's letter to his muse Marianne Ihlen on her deathbed. (Joe Goddard)

It´s been two years since PAWAS Gupta contributed an enchanting remix on Sirions first vinyl release. Constant communication and cooperation lead to this all in all accomplished project called "Huis Huis EP". Adeen Records 004 installment comes from Alexander Robotnik. This all new material ep starts with the techy "I Love My House." A catchy retro feel groove record that's electro as only Mr. Robotnick can do. The next song is called "You Have Time" with a sure-fire crowd pleasing remix from NDATL's own head honcho Kai Alce. The next is "Made In China," and our staffs favorite. While Camille's version of "You Have time" is a dark deep jazzy version in comparison to Kai's more clubby feel, The last track is the original version of the song by Alexander himself. Three original songs and 3 innovative producers, What's there not to love?

Montreal-based producer & DJ Slick Shoota brings us Function, his debut LP and first solo release on the Teklife imprint. A native of Norway known for his renowned Oslo club night Ball Em Up, he's been a member of the elite crew since 2015, contributing tracks to the label's compilations such as On Life Vol. 2 and VIP Trax. Using a unique palate that combines both traditional footwork drums and eclectic otherworld sonics, this album expands on the signature sound he's been brewing during the course of his career, celebrating his longtime love of the Chicago soundscape, with a healthy helping of UK rave, jungle, and vibes from other fast paced club realms. Slick starts the record off with Hovercraft, a big burly mutant rap beat riding a glowing titanic wave of jungle subbass, with vicious hi-hats stabbing through the mix. Desire Path follows with hysterical horns cruising along a stampede of erratic Chicago percussion. A glitchy, malfunctioning computer meets drumline stomps on See Me Flex, resulting in a psychotic, yet psychedelic sci-fi soundscape. Ultra-distorted hardcore kicks open up Jellyneck, dropping straight into a dungeon of ghostly vocals and headlong toms. Warehouse 2K opens up the B-side with R&B chops and lasers floating on a charming cloud of pulsating pads. Mad doppler sirens loop around your head on Delahaze, as distant clangs and crashes fight an impatient, throbbing bassline. Classic rave atmospheres are met with Slick's elegant sound design on MTL Hardcore, his ode to his adoptive city. The album closes off with Special Tek, channeling the signature quirky drum sounds of the late DJ Rashad over a pounding, fast paced house beat, a wonderful nod to the Windy City and its influential sonic culture. Carving out his own sound from the legacies of Chicago, the UK, and other underground club hotspots, Slick Shoota has found his own recognizable voice within these realms of dance music, and this LP serves as documentation of that solidified voice. Years of studying the masters and immersing himself with their work has clearly paid off, and he's respectfully taking these sounds he loves in exciting new directions. Bridging gaps both historical and geographical, Function marks a pivotal point in his career, and is clear evidence that Slick Shoota is vital member of the legendary Teklife family.

“Dive / 4AM” is the latest outing from San Francisco Bay Area-based six-piece, The Seshen. The 7” outlines thesteps the group has made since their critically acclaimed sophomore album in 2016, both as a band and as individuals. “Since ‘Flames & Figures', a lot has been taking place both internally and externally. We were on tour for the last album when Trump was elected. There was an intense heaviness, a familiar one, one that extends generations and it just sunk in even further”, singer/lyricist Lalin St. Juste explains.

Side A opens with distorted four-to-the-floor chomper, “Dive”. Aggressive yet danceable, gritty but somehow unstoppable, “Dive” is inspired the profound need for change, catalysed through the somnambulant Larry Heard-esque bassline meshed to the warped tones of Lalin’s vocals. “The path towards my power, my strength, being okay with being unapologetic is just starting. I’m reclaiming what I have lost, reclaiming what has been passed down to me. The song is about the ground beginning to shake”, Lalin preaches.

While in contrast on side B, “4AM” untethers the listener by exploring a sense of spaciousness, flourishing the sparseness, distracting with moving snippets of delicate production. Lyrically tackling the insomniacs waking nightmare, “4AM” is about the witching hour, battling against oneself. "I was experiencing anxiety at night...where I would review all my actions and all the things I said throughout the day in search of something that I did wrong. At times it would keep me up, and I felt that I was at war with my mind.”

It’s been long overdue but finally No Moon is back on X-Kalay and we are HYPED. A lot has changed in the three years since his debut on the label but Fred’s ability to turn in forward thinking and original electro definitely has not. This latest effort is the work of an exciting producer on the rise.

Opening the A side “CPU Limit 99” is full of jungley skittish breaks, acid bass and off kilter rhythms. By the time we hear the voice of Agent Smith creeping out in the first break we could be forgiven for casting our minds back to Metalheadz circa 2002. Next up, “Aoe_Rushin” is the pick of the bunch for us and continues The Matrix theme, albeit less explicitly, via a full on bonkers trip of searing acid, razor sharp drums and smashed up vocals.

On the flip Adam Pits switches up “Aoe_Rushin” into a pacey 4x4 club joint utilising some expansive arrangement and lovely speed garage-esque bass. Closing things out, title track “Set Phasers to Stun” winds things back and rounds up with a deep and meditative cut of melodic electro.

The third release of ninih is by none other than Australia-based electronic producer Andy Rantzen. Bringing his most dancefloor friendly EP as of yet. A-side for trancing ~ B-side for dancing. All tracks stem from the late 90’s/early noughties giving this EP it’s ravey vibe in typical dubby Rantzen fashion.

Coloray's Real Life Cinema infuses powerful, unpolished sound aesthetics with relentless energy. Raised on Colombia's Caribbean coast and united by it's capital, Bogota, Ghetto Kumbé combine the rich musical heritage of their home, to invoke the spirit of digital rumba in audiences all over the world. The secret behind their irresistible electronic sound lies in their powerful percussion base; Caribbean house beats and traditional afro-Colombian rhythms inherited from West Africa. The album's co-producer, The Busy Twist, adds all the legacy of the UK's Bass scene to the Afrofuturistic sounds of the 3 Colombians. Using musical motifs from Africa and Colombia's Caribbean coast such as the gaita, call-and-response vocals, and an array of hand drums and rhythms, coupled with the elegant electronic production of Techno and House, Ghetto Kumbé creates an Afro-futurist soundscape with lyrics to motivate, elevate, and inspire. This has not gone unnoticed and they've played Barranquilla's world-famous Carnival, Boiler Room, and have even opened for Radiohead.

Forever and a day, Antonin Leymarie has drummed in a pack – be it his collective Magnetic Ensemble, Surnaturel Orchestra, the circus of Les Colporteurs or theatre of Joël Pommerat. A long time in the waiting, this solo project as Hyperactive Leslie all started with an epiphany during a residency at La Gare back in 2018. A couple of years later and al.ɡo.ʁitm has finally surfaced for air, the debut EP from this seasoned percussionist gone solo without a safety net – everything you hear on this EP is played by him with no re-recordings or additional sounds. Well, not quite solo. Scintillating through the sound recordings, mixes and production is the unmistakable flair of Joakim, the founding DJ of influential labels Tigersushi and Crowdspacer. With this symbiotic drum chant where human and technology feed on each other’s souls, without ever losing them, Hyperactive Leslie conjures an organic, cinegenic and labyrinthine trance in the spirit of Boards of Canada, Brandt Brauer Frick and Paddy Steer – all those for whom rhythms are far from robotic, but living, breathing creatures who will forever remain untamed..

What would be the result of putting together to work such talented people as Julia Bondar, Franck Kartell, The Hacker and Years Of Denial? (...) Cyril Pansal and Gäel Loison reach to do it here resulting in extremely fresh and harsh ebm with touches of rudimentary but very effective modular electro that sounds as fat as a sumo fighter.

From the mind of VernoN comes the first release of Eupasia, a label that tells the story of a mythic world built under the ground by some undead worms that have gained human characteristics.
