House Vinyl New Releases - News

Raw, organic and spontaneous without limitations, this is "Counrad Series" The first release welcomes the label boss Counrad that will accompany us step by step in this new awesome adventure. The Label formula is deeply-felt sensation, giving a deep and unique insight into his musical universe. Music needs personality, character and flavors...It's like a story, everyone have a different one with different experiences to show. He delivers masterful portions of weirdness, induces mysterious spaces on beats full of suspense, creating ideal backdrops for those more special experiences.
3 sublime tracks with their very own touch made of underground sounds, mutant rhythm architectures, warm dynamics and heartbreaking melodic caresses, decorated with sparkling synth lines all moving on their own orbit creating ecstasy moods like effect on the dancefloor, that iconically represents Counrad vision...making the the EP go mad! Closing out a near perfect record. Meanwhile, takes some jangling, and lets them ride into the sunset!
Not one to be missed.

Craggy, slightly sharp sound with a rolling bass of different shapes and manifestations sounds interesting and racily fits in the overall picture of the track. Three angles: association, image, essence that bears an idea containing soft and moving vibration.
Three angles. Three pines on a forked road.
A cake with pink cream and lime tea ... (c)

Dissonant returns with some thrilling, fresh grooves from New York City by the talented producer Bobby Gasparakis for the upcoming release. The legacy of NY house on Gaspara sound is balanced out by a measured and energetic approach reaching the most effective dancefloor cuts. The title track on this Nafpi EP' is a perfect example with plenty of subtle touches into the mix that edge the funk into this exciting Spartan soundscape, from playful conga hits to the insistent clap always increasing the pull of the rhythm section. Providing the perfect contrast, A Pillow for Julia' is an adventurous and exotic excursion with organic instrumentation alongside distant sweeps of pads, subtle shimmers of dub chords sounding sometimes like swirling vocals. This combination unfolds like a gripping story, carefully arranged across nine minutes of transcendental music to create a spiritual experience that shows Gaspara's diversity. Whether you want a straight-ahead club workout or a sensual trip into more unusual realms of house music, Gaspara has proved to be an outstanding talent on his first release for Dissonant.

Arapu's eccentric visions on the music some of us shallowly label as techno seem like a match made in an utopic electronic heaven as they crossed paths with the eclectic minds behind Understand.

2 straight to the point tracks, bearing the same hypnotic groove entrenched deep into the bassline, twined with electro stems and looped around some schizoid voices.

Whatever your perspective is on electronic music, Wasted Ego won't fall under any category. A perfect addition to the Understand's series.

Romanian duo Vinyl Speed Adjust return with the second instalment on their synonymously titled imprint, VSA Records.
With fellow Romanian duo 'Dubsons' composing the 'Perceptions' EP's A-side, 'Luci' follows a minimal soundscape groove, which exudes warm pads and dark fx, leading you through a spatial journey.
Meanwhile, label curators Vinyl Speed Adjust take control of the B side with another raw techno cut. Their signature percussive approach is fused with a killer bassline and a rhythmical groove, manifesting in a moody composition which is guaranteed to trip your mind.

Spring 2016 saw the release of Stimming's fourth full length album 'Alpe Lusia', which was named after a remote little alpine hut in northern Italy, in which he had secluded himself to work on his LP for a full month, all by himself.
From the title track of his LP emanates his following release on Diynamic, the Alpe Lusia Remixes, and the remixing protagonists are none other than Robag Wruhme and the long time collaborateurs Acid Pauli & NU. First off is Pampa mainstay Robag Wruhme, whose take on Stimming's 'Alpe Lusia' starts off as a dark and brooding tech house gem. Later, when you have made your way through its rough outer shell, peeling off the hard claps, it shows its soft core, with gentle pads caressing the arrangement. Acid Pauli & NU deliver a deep and driving, almost haunting reinterpretation of 'Alpe Lusia, with a thumping bass and ethereal vocals that are very hypnotizing.
The original version is the only track on the album without a real groove, which is why Stimming chose precisely this track to be remixed - to see what the others would do about that. Now it is fair to say that both remixes have succeeded at this task.

Welcome little brother, or mezin, to the start of your new adventure with 'Ramane intre noi EP'. Constantly experimenting and evolving, the next logical step for Alin was creating an outlet to let loose some of his music; new, old, or in between. With early support from Petre Inspirescu, Rhadoo, Cezar or Sammy Dee, this little brother's journey is just beginning.

Dimitri Veimar has arrived with the second installment to the Omnidisc Swim Series. The release includes 4 raw cuts from the producer. Ranging from the acid soaked acid jogging to the driving cut 6 days.

throw the hands into the air: kornél kovács, on the go dj and producer from stockholm, who runs with his mates axel boman and petter nordkvist the label studio barnhus, delivers his debut ep on endless flight.
it's a 10inch, its juicy and enlarged with super happy emotions. two sample house bangers that came to life only for one reason: to make people smile.
the a-side tune 'szamár' twists with twisted rhythms, samples and disco sounds. the b-side features a remix of the tune 'order to the sense' by the new zealand/german duo snacks.
it was originally featured on the 'i'm starting to feel okay volume 7' compilation on mule musiq.
kornél kovács transformed it into a melancholic house anthem full of with highlife guitar riffs and smiling horn sounds. high spirits music for all circumstances of a party night. if you look for music that gives you joy: kornél kovács brings it here in a pure human panache.

Berlin's own Marco Haas aka T.RAUMSCHMIERE made an irreparable impression globally in the 00's as a sawtoothed, ANTI-rave radical thanks to his immense stage antics and larger-than-life releases on Novamute. Since then, Haas has established himself as a contemporary with emotive, dark ambient tales on his own imprints Shitkatapult/Albumlabel.
KOMPAKT's love affair with Haas goes back to our earliest days. Some of his first tracks were released on KOMPAKT in the form of two raw EP's entitled "Bolzplatz" (KOM021 - 2000) and "Musick" (KOM037 2001). These two formative releases elevated the "Schaffel" sound to raw and shameless places we never could have imagined. The results set a tidal wave in motion that to this day remains one of KOMPAKT's most infamous legacies.
In an off-chance reunion with Haas in his studio, we learnt about what he'd been doing since the "Monstertruckdriver" days. It turned out he's been ever so busy outside of the mainstream working with the likes of Dieter Meier of Yello, Caspar Brötzmann, Andreas Dorau, Fraktus, Ofrin or Barbara Morgenstern and his recent work with Ulli Bomans aka Schieres under the SHRUBBN!! monicker.

On the way out, he passed over his 2015 self-titled album - which proceeded to blow our minds. It was mutually decided that it's time for him to return home.
May 19, 2017, will see KOMPAKT releasing T.RAUMSCHMIERE's new, epic solo full-length HEIMAT. It presents another side of his work which was always there, but never got that much airtime: the artist, the author, the composer with the crystal-clear sound. HEIMAT is a stunning techno album that neither excludes Ambient, nor gets reduced to constant ass kicking. It's perhaps the best recording so far from this man who asks so deeply, so extensively, so much. And at some point even answers.

We are truly excited about this releaseas we have been fans of VENDI's work for quite some time now. The reflection of great cities of Barcelona where he started experimenting with electronic music and Berlin where he is currenty residing is palpable. The passion for producing great music has been recognised by the heavyweights like Raresh and Jamie Jones to name but few. Here at Hoxton Records we are very proud to have him on our 4th release. This one is definitely going to be proudly hanged on the wall ( After being played a million times of course )

Inspecteur Gadget Electro swing opens the EP:) And the whole thing brings the same kind of ambiance... Summer time baby ! Take your tong and vamos a la playa ^^

Shimza, real name Ashley Raphala, is one of South Africa's brightest young talents. 'Ascendent", his 4 tracks debut E.P. on Cadenza reveals solid production skills and an innate instinct for peak-time bangers. The opening track, 'Congo Congo' is a dark ride over abysmal tom-tom drums, lively percussions and a gloomy bass lead, ignited dramatically by an ensemble of wide synthetic stabs and chords. In its 'Dub- Mix", the drums and the percussion become lighter without diminishing its dynamic tension. The overall weight of the leads and the stabs is reduced, leaving more space to its intense piano and string chords and swinging sub bass. 'Shimza - Secret Melodies' starts with an obscure bass line, but the intense twist of fractioned rolls and arpeggios bring an ascending piano progression that quickly blooms into an uplifting symphony. 'Selector' is a deeper cut that keeps the gaze on the dancefloor: the incessant hand clapping and a cloud of low frequencies bumps unexpectedly drag its hypnotic harmonies into a breath-taking drop.

Mr.Rooge is back for the first time on Gosu showing that he isn´t only a skilled house/techno producer but also can go different ways experimenting with breaky electro-like styles to form the second installment on the label. He´s accompanied by
an yet unknown japanese technician named Dj Yue who is in charge to bring it back to funky techno terms with his remix contribution.

For the projects 5th release we welcome Russian Artist Toki Fuko. The label continues to source deeper soundscapes and Toki delivers a hypnotic collection of deep techno grooves with rhythmic sequencing where he absorbs inspiration from the world that surrounds him. Over the years he has worked with musicians such as Joaschim Spieth, Estroe, Hernan Catanneo, Wareika, Brendon Moeller, and published on incredible labels such as Affin, Star Dub, Rosedale and Slowdance. Elliot Project is proud to showcase this 3 track EP which illustrates the incredible talent of Toki Fuko and Tagir who provides a special edit for 'Sept'.

After the label's first two EPs by Pit Spector and ToBa, Rose et Rosée strikes again with the first release by young and talented Sandro Ceyte. Originally from Montpellier, he currently lives in Nantes where he earned his spurs as a DJ with the collective Essential Groove. This digger and ec-lectic music lover also produces House and Hip Hop, and 'Message d'EP' brings together Sandro's diverse inspirations.'Message d'Ep' Opens with a House track embedded with Hip Hop influ-ences, 'Testin Me' follows with its ravishing groove with a sunny French Touch reminiscent of Pepe Braddock productions from the 90s. With Sandro, the Hip Hop of J Dilla is never far, as he proves with 'Sunday' - a sweet but punchy interlude that gives melody to the day after the night before... 'Quadrobeijos' brings a Latin touch to the record for a low-tempo cruise that sinks into your ears like a waterside warm-up set. The B-side kicks off with the hymn 'About Hip Hop', an irrefutable House tool with a warm and vibrant tone to get people on their feet. Bonus: the EP fin-ishes with a Micro House remix from brothers Ark & Pit Spector, who give their interpretation of the tracks in the form of a Caesar Salad. Mixed and mastered by Pit Spector and Tommy Tall, this record brings a message of peace and love to the dance floor.

Following on from previous standout Inhouse compilations on Moon Harbour comes the latest instalment,
Volume 6. This time with 12 exclusive tracks presented digitally and on a 2 x 12' vinyl pack, young label
associate Marco Faraone has also gone to work on fusing them all together into one magical set that will
be available upon release. The compilation features music from a range of producers - some have been
with the label a while, some are newer recruits, but all of them fit in with the internationally acclaimed and
renowned Moon Harbour aesthetic.

London based East End Dubs is first up with the suitably dubby 'Maze,' a slightly creepy track that bumps
and grinds with lots of moody atmosphere. Stepping up through the gears with his bulky, bass driven loops
is then Andrea Oliva who first appeared on the label back in 2013, whilst Dan Drastic and label boss
Matthias Tanzmann team up again for their 'Arcade'. It's a spooky, stripped back house roller with a breezy
groove at its heart.

New recruits Chris Wood & Meat, frequent collaborators from Frankfurt, then turbo charge the compilation
with their excellently urgent and energetic track 'So Far Away', then former Minus staple Barem serves up
a rattling, kinetic track full of percussive energy that will get arms flailing on the dancefloor. Next up, Marco
Faraone goes deep with his deliciously driven 'Mirror Coat', featuring muttered vocals, spooky
instrumentals and humid ambiance that really seeps its way into your soul.

Label regulars Luna City Express score a hit once more with the widescreen tech and spoken word
consciousness of 'Get High', and fellow Moon Harbour staple Sven Tasnadi contributes the haunted late
night house charms of 'Special Places'. Sable Sheep is one of the label's new generation of talents and
gets all booty focussed and bouncy with his hard hitting jam 'Pilgrim', before the always on point Detlef
then conjures up an intoxicating vibe with his feathery light, minimal house jam 'Forenote'. Then come Paul
C & Paolo Martini, who get all slinky, silky and seductive with their metallic, loopy 'Speed Machine' track
and newest label member Cera Alba from the UK closes things down with his raw, hardcore deep house
hitter 'Voltage.'

This compilation once again proves that Moon Harbour evolves and experiments with subtle new sounds
each year. What's more, the label always stays true to their groove focussed, dancefloor aligned house
sound whether they call upon experienced old stars or hot new protégés alike.
