Alles begann mit einer Gruppe von DJs und Beatmakern, allesamt inspiriert von den Techno- und House-Platten aus Detroit und Chicago und verbunden durch eine tiefe Leidenschaft - sowohl für UK Bass-Musik als auch US-Hiphop und 70’s Soul-Jazz. Diese Crew aus Zürich bündelte all diese Inspirationen und Einflüße zu einem Sound, den sie als B-Boy-House und Teknowsoul bezeichneten. Bereits die ersten Releases auf Drumpoet brachten den internationalen Durchbruch und Künstler wie Soultourist, Quarion, Cavalier, Dplay & Manuel Tur oder auch John Daly weckten weltweit großes Interesse in der Szene für elektronische Musik und hinterließen einen bleibenden Eindruck. Drumpoet ist sehr stolz darauf mit dieser Compilation das 15-jährige Labelbestehen zu feiern. Hier werden die über die Jahre entstandenen Freundschaften und die Geschichte des Labels genauso reflektiert wie eine tiefe und ehrliche Liebe zur Dance Musik. Das spiegelt sich natürlich auch in den exklusiven Tunes von Ikonen wie Herbert, Roman Flügel und Frank Wiedemann, Manuel Tur, Lauer, John Daly, Kalabrese, Manuel Fischer, Nicola Kazimir, Ripperton und Jimi Jules wieder.

What NxT returns with the 3rd release of Rich NxT's sister label with another VA of outstanding quality. 4 unique tracks which bring nothing but good vibes and dancefloor shakes!

This album, entitled "Walimizi" will be composed of three original tracks: "Tseki", "Tsindzaka" and "Laisse-moi danser" by Sarera x Blanc Manioc, as well as four remixes by well-known artists of the pan-African electronic music scene: Cornelius Doctor & Tushen Raï, Deena Abdelwahed, PANGAR and Praktika! All these artists are close to the Blanc Manioc and Kayamba collectives, and have already come to Mayotte for the festival. They will be considerable assets to increase the international visibility of the project.


Also, a remix contest will be organized and open to anyone living on the island or originating from the island in order to select a remix created by an artist from Mayotte that will be integrated into the fnal online album.

From the classic vinyl vaults of Music For Freaks, Methods in Madness, was originally released in 2000 and featured a minimal funk house remix courtesy of Chicago based deep house guru, Tim Shumaker and Brooklyn-based musician, Tim Kvasnosky as Home & Garden. The flipside came with 2 mixes from Soul Capsule aka Thomas Melchior and Peter Baby Ford, who delivered a minimal house tour de force of stripped back, energetic beats, bubbling bass and atmospheric vocal samples to round off the package. VITAL SALES POINTS: Freaks - Instrument (Soul Capsule On It) remix featured on Fabric 17 compilation by Akufen / Marc Leclair alongside Matthew Dear, Herbert, Cabanne and Kalabrese.

PROGNOSE Records launch their brand new label with a superb various artists EP featuring a wealth of talents in Mateo Dufour & Mbius, Jesse Jacob, Niksu and Rupert Ellis.

Mateo Dufour & Mbius open up with DeLorean, a slick and punchy minimal house cut. It has real funk in the drums, rubbery bass and plenty of layers of sci-fi design. Jesse Jacob's Who Is U is another brilliantly cosmic house cut that operates between the stars, with silky bass and neon chords making for a quick and compelling groove. Niksu's Climber has a celebratory feel with its upbeat drum lines and smeared pads all making you feel good. Rupert Ellis closes down with Strangeways, a kinetic cut with tightly woven psychedelic rhythms and silvery synths.

These are classy and cosmic cuts of future electronic goodness from this exciting new label.

Including one of his last songs plus some remixes from his favorite producers like Arno & Audio Werner, Ferro and Zendid.
