We have a proud introduced 4th vinyl-only release from our original series, featuring Romanian artists Funky Trip with two original cuts and Barac on remix duties. Titled “Alpha EP”, the record delivers a solid dose of inspiring minimal rhythms mastered by Mike Grinser at Manmade Mastering Berlin.


Funky Trip stands out from the Romanian new wave of electronic music producers, exploring an endless universe of distinct sounds and emotions reflected on his releases with Rawax, Nazca, Stamp Records, Artreform and others. On this EP, he invites acclaimed local artist Barac of Moment Records to join in and leave his fingerprint on the title track, laying out a soothing rhythm influenced by psychedelic elements.

Side A opens with the title track, “Alpha”, an immersive minimalistic composition powered by dreamy background atmospheres, swinging drumming patterns, a solid wobbling bassline and mysterious vocals that seamlessly intertwine with tension-building chords and breathing moments. Following, “Dreams” gets a bit more groovy, focusing on the percussion, the punching keyboard stabs and the phased effects that run throughout the track, all while having a subtle touch of melancholy radiating from the piano and complementary layers.

On the flipside, we find Barac‘s reinterpretation of A1 dropping a twisted progressive sound that constantly evolves as wave upon wave of spiralling synths and chugging drums mix in a massive dancefloor tool perfect for peak-time moments at any party.

Anton Kubikov returns to MAYAK with two heavy groovers for dancefloors on each side. Both tracks are delivering nice vocal cuts, proper baselines and hypnotic feeling of long trip.

Courtesy Of Balance is the tasteful house label run by Brawther and it was back in 2019 in Lviv during an underground warehouse party that he first made contact with Laconica label founders Ocean and Sasha Pervukhin. They all hit it off and so were invited to showcase the deeper side of the house sounds of Western Ukraine, and the results make up this new EP with the artists taking one side each. Ocean T's opener is a psychedelic, trance-infused cosmic trip while 'What If' rides on crisp beats with some lush dubbed-out synths. On the flip, Pervukhin's 'I Hate This DJ' is balmy, heady deep house from up amongst the stars and 'TR 18 Blues' is a nice kinetic, lithe minimal house cut.

Featuring the unique sound of Oward, "MR.B009" is packed with hypnotic beats, deep basslines, and intricate synths, keeping the dancefloor buzzing. This high-energy track blends smooth grooves with subtle, unexpected twists, making it a must-have for any minimal tech house lover. A perfect balance of precision and unpredictability, delivering both fun and intensity in every beat.

After years of silence dedicated to side projects, DJENA makes a triumphant return with his solo EP, In Motion. A testament to his passion for eclecticism, this release seamlessly bridges house and breakbeat, enriched by a stunning remix from the legendary French producer DJ W!LD.

The journey begins with the title track, In Motion, a hypnotic breakbeat composition where deep pads intertwine with tribal vocal elements, evoking raw emotion and sonic depth. This track is designed to captivate both the ears and the heart. DJ W!LD then takes the reins, transforming In Motion into an irresistible dancefloor anthem. It’s aim is to present music from carefully curated artists that are consistent & true to their sound regardless the current trends or hype.

This is a real treat for fans of original minimal house sounds: a remastered and recut repress of the still hugely in demand first EP from Aspect Music. Opening up are the one and only Soul Capsule with 'Forever Love', a restlessly, tightly looped track that has pent up energy that really gets under your bones. The F Macmillan mix is more cut up still, with puddles of melody, late night freakiness and dry beats all taking you for a trip. Dark Boys then get more direct with the pinging kicks of 'Pluto Rising' and Softcore closes out with a classically colourful melodic house workout.

Available exclusively on vinyl, the EP opens with "Quartette", where Hendriks Toth (BODY PARTS) blends a jazzy flow of harmonic percussions that intertwine brilliantly.

Following this, label founder Ramona Yacef collaborates with Floog (PREMIESKU) to expand the soundscape with "Sintetica," delivering a range of deep industrial beats.

Next up, Federico Grazzini (TENAX) and F.T.G (FUCK THE GOVERNMENT) work their magic on "Scrambled Bells", incorporating 90's rhythms with analog drums and progressive synths.

On the flip side, Late Nite Guy (HOWL RECORDS) takes on "Rave Eart Stab", lowering the tempo to create a laid-back, dub-inspired track featuring rough stabs and lush pads.
