On EP5, legendary German musician Burnt Friedman makes his Dekmantel Records debut with 'Monsun'. The Berlin based artist, who built a reputation for himself through his explorations into obscure, finely-tuned, experimental dub through his label Nonplace, alongside his collaborative relationship with the late Can drummer Jaki Liebezeit, is one of the crucial, sonic manipulators of our time. 'Monsun' finds Friedman crafting flowing, percussive, dub techno that is both esoteric, and progressive. Befitting of a Dekmantel release. Alongside Friedman sits legendary Detroit act Ectomorph, aka. BMG & Erika, also making their Dekmantel inauguration, with a record that surmises' the group's anologue, style of Motor City beats.

There would be no Dekmantel celebration without longtime family members, JuJu & Jordash. With three LPs and countless EPs released on the imprint to date, alongside a sleuth of festival, and party appearances, the improvisational duo have become masters of off-kilter, and poly-rhytmic electronic funk, of which 'Neon Swing' -a fast-paced and extremely invigorative cut- is of prime example. And then there's Dekmantel favourite Fatima Yamaha - an artist who has a keen ear for gentle, analogue hooks that have gone to become ample festival fodder. The Dutchman maintains an ear for the serene with the track 'Platforms', a sullen, yet beautiful ambient track, the drives deep into the emotive world of soft, tender, heartfelt music.

MR. After having played at their infamous party series before, the Greek all-rounder Mr. Statik now also debuts as a producer on AWAY. As emphasized with releases on such labels as BPitch Control, Amam, or Rotary Cocktail, the resident of Athen's club Six D.O.G.S draws inspiration from pop culture like science-fiction movies as well as comic books, also reflected in his 'Rogue Cherub EP". INFO ROGUE CHERUB EP It's an open secret that Mr. Statik has a strong penchant for working with vocalists, and the title track is no different. Starting off with an ingenious medley assembled through samples, rhythmic elements, and a funk-infused bass-line, 'Rogue Cherub EP' highlights the Greek's unordinary approach on house music. Despite the partly broken, partly playful vibe it's Dave Aju's distinctive voice holding everything together in a serene fashion. No less than the acknowledged master Matthew Herbert himself scales the hybrid down, attaching just the right disco-house touches to create yet another dance floor gem. 'Morning Star' on the flipside tops off AWAY's fifth catalogue number by a well-crafted techno-meets-dub workout unfolding Mr. Statik's versatile core strengths as a producer.

With launch of the second release KNIFE is presenting a new name in underground scene: FILTRU with original track and two remixes from Silat Beksi and Geims Bont.

Señales, Spanish for Signals, is the new work and debut at Femur by Rafa M. Espinosa, aka Geistform. It depicts a round trip to the darkest side, the sullen and dismal side of our sonic concept. The four tracks, which make up this 12' range from odes to smacking electro beat, obsessive mid-tempos, old industrial echoes and sinister and unsettling atmospheres.

Over the last sixteen years Moods & Grooves has amassed a staggeringly impressive label family that includes names like Theo Parrish, Mr G, Kyle Hall, Rick Wade, Andres & Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodymann. This May the legendary Detroit label returns with a seminal thirteen-track album from veteran DJ & producer Joe Le Bon entitled 'House Music Love Music'.

With this new LP Jarno Eerola aka Joe Le Bon demonstrates his inimitable production prowess, garnered from a musical career spanning more than twenty years and encompassing releases on labels such as International Deejay Gigolo Records, Pro-Tez, Plastik.FM and Blumenbeat. Alongside his own output the Berlin-based artist has written tracks and remixes for numerous producers, most notably composing DJ Hells chart- smashing remix of Tim Deluxe 'Transformations' which saw six continuous weeks at number one on Beatport.

Jarno's polished production ability and aptitude for exploring diverse sounds and rhythms whilst maintaining a resolute warmth and depth to every cut is the most prevalent footnote across the course of the album. For 'Ghosts On Cassette' the Berlin-based producer works whirring space-like atmospherics over hypnotic beats and shuffling snares to dish up a smooth and captivating opener. 'For Yasuni' and 'The Road Is Under Repair' get worked over subtle synth patterns and crisp percussion to offer up some of the more emotive provisions on the album. This in contrast to the deep driving beats of 'House Music Love Music' and the more club-ready tracks like '82 Degrees' or 'Like Cotton Deep Orchestra' truly exemplifies the wide-ranging nature of the album.

All in all Joe Le Bon has structured a sublime body of work that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home or the middle of a dance floor, each and every track oozes depth and sits as a true testament to his abilities in the studio.

La Technique is a dreamy and smooth track with french speaking samples and groovy bass line.

Romanian Producer Bexu brings forth 3 hypnotic micro grooves & accompanied with a deep & mysterious vibe from Sakro on the A1.

After releasing a string of quality EP's for the likes of Charlois, Doppellschall and Permanent Vacation, Amsterdam based artist Dollkraut (Pascal Pinkert) confirmed in 2014 with his debut album "Schimanski's Black Lullabies" on Brandt Brauer Frick's imprint The Gym. The Dutch producer's back with his sophomore LP due February 24th 2017 on Dischi Autunno - new label founded by Jennifer Cardini and Noura Labbani. "Holy Ghost People" sees Dollkraut delve deeper into his recognizable lo-fi and organic sound, inspired by old movie soundtracks, creating gritty atmospheres mixed with the purest of melodies. Album opens with instant hit "Bonnie Said", where Pascal's vocals magically merge with the darkest of bass lines. "Valium" continues the journey, increasing the tempo but confirming the feeling of being in a lost sci-fi movie soundtrack. On "Oblivian", the rhythm slows down again, allowing us to dive even more in this twisted yet candid universe.

Funk dripping debauchery is Hard Ton's latest serving. 'Triple XL' takes its cue from the annals of italo, disco and electro pop, further fuelled by production from Dutch diamond in the rough Tom Holkenborg (better known as Junkie XL). A track beyond tongue-in-cheek, lyrics dance in a devil-may-care dervish. And it is those lyrics that remixer Domenico Torti holds on to for his jackin' house interpretation; a Chicago affair of carnal delights. DJ Overdose comes from a totally different angle. The electro fiend pours ice water on to the original for a frosted vocoder wonder. And to keep the roulette wheel spinning, Andreas Gehm closes. Hard as nails, acid drenched, diva voiced pound wraps up an EP an admirable assembly of tracks.

Moscow Records close 2016 with a fantastic 3-track EP from Berlin imports Roustam and Tolga Fidan. This being their first outing together, the pair deliver a high quality, intelligent journey through minimal house and techno.The record opens with Brodsky Beat; a groovy, dance floor-focused track.Lively percussion and tight bass communicate perfectly with the hope-filled lead to build tension throughout.The Omega Variant on the A2 has a much more abstract feel. Broken beats and skippy percussion play back and forth with deep, spacey hooks and a peculiar synth, giving the listener a sense of mystery.Finally, Growing Up Is Just a Phase is a calming 14 minute trip that uses the entirety of the B Side to tell a story of reassurance and calm. Laid-back rhythms, guitar samples, relaxed vocals and a wandering synth line work together to form the perfect warmup track.

Per Martinsen AKA Mental Overdrive is one of Norwegian dance music's founding fathers. Alongside friends such as Bjorn Torske, Biosphere, Rune Lindbaek and DJ Strangefruit, Martinsen was integral in laying the foundations of Norway's now blossoming dance music scene during the late 1980s and early 90s. As a producer, he cut his teeth making house, techno and hardcore for Belgian imprints SSR and R&S Records at the turn of the '90s. He was a regular at the R&S studio in Ghent, programming and mixing for other artists including Joey Beltram. Since then, Per has continued to produce and release quality electronic music, both under his Mental Overdrive alias (see releases on Full Pupp, Smalltown Supersound, Rett i Fletta and his own Love OD Communications imprint), and as part of outfits such as Frost (alongside his other half, Aggie Peterson) and Illumination/ Chilluminati. Per is featured heavily in Ben Davis and Pete Jenkinson's documentary film chronicling the rise of Norwegian dance music, 'Northern Disco Lights'. In addition to appearing on screen, he also wrote the incidental music featured on the soundtrack. He is also on a continuing mission to overthrow the evil empire of global capitalism through several projects touching in on other fields of artistic expression, and is very pleased that Juno Records once tagged him a 'Weekend Situationist' in one of their reviews. His new album 'Epilogue' will be released on Sept 22 2017 through Prins Thomas' Techno/Not Techno label Rett i Fletta. DARTRIIX is a sporadic but permanent collaborative project between two of op.disc's label heads, Fumiya Tanaka and yoshihiro HANNO aka RADIQ. After 6 years of absence, DARTRIIX finally makes their return with this intensive double pack LP 'Flying One Hand', which is a good surprise to us.
During recent years, Berlin-based Fumiya Tanaka has established himself as one of the most impressive figure in Europe's minimal scene after successive releases from Perlon. His tireless DJ touring rewarded in the form of impassioned supports from audiences in Germany, UK, France, Italy and Romania. On the other hand, with a number of quality releases like Eastern Hemispheres EPs on Euro-Moroccan imprint Cosmo Records and highly acclaimed 2013 double pack 'Vida Noir' on op.disc, yoshihiro HANNO aka RADIQ have made reputation as a master of carefully arranged, funk-infused minimal.
6 years of break seems fairly enough for them to re-mature perspectives on their collaboration project. Between Paris and Berlin, they exchange ideas and basis of tracks to elaborate their images on respective tracks. In consequence, those countless interchanges made this 'Flying One Hand' album a deep yet intricate piece of work. Simply put, his album offers up an indivisibly-united ideas and techniques from two of most illustrious producers of Japan's modern minimal music.

Echoes_ is welcoming the young and talented Akatana for their second release. The
Berlin-based French artist his taking us on a tripping 14min long journey of extended pad
textures and strings with just the right amount of grooving basslines.

On the B-side we hear Hubble decomposing and re-arranging the original track in a way
only he could do it. Changing it into a dramatic adventure through acoustic drums and
percussions.

Melodic house pioneer and Diynamic figurehead Solomun is back with his latest release, a compilation of some of his best-loved remixes from over the past 7 years. Comprised of 24 tracks spread across two CDs, the collection is due for release in June this year, and is split into a vocal and non-vocal disc. Both the CD and vinyl versions come with customisable cover artwork and a pack of crayons, reflecting the "remix" concept. The first disc displays Solomun's skill for crafting intelligent yet crossover-ready reworks of both well-known and underground songs. Amongst these are some of the producer's most iconic tracks to date; the Solomun Vox Mix of Noir & Haze's 'Around' - Resident Advisor's no1 remix and Groove Magazine's no2 remix of 2011 - as well as his remix of 'Let's Go Back' by Kraak & Smaak, which was also Groove Magazine's no3 remix of the same year. His remix of Foals - 'Late Night' from 2013 also features, which, alongside 'Around', has racked up over 30 million views on Youtube to date. Other offerings range from atmospheric takes on the likes of Lana Del Rey and Roisin Murphy, to the more recent, deep and downbeat remix of Whilk & Misky's 'Clap Your Hands'. The largely vocal-less remixes on CD2 allow Solomun's unique production style to shine through. The dark beats of his remix of Stimming's 'Una Pena' feat. Paulo Olarte makes for an attention-grabbing start to the disc, whereas his dub mix of 'A Love Bizarre' by So Phat! and Claude VonStroke's 'The Clapping Track' shows his funkier side. Older remixes like that of 'Magnetic North' by Palm Skin Productions and Marbert Rocel's 'Cornflake Boy' prove Solomun's credentials with a traditional jacking house groove, underlined by those same distinctive lush basslines and melodic elements. Tiga & Audion's famous 'Let's Go Dancing' draws the compilation to a close, demonstrating Solomun's skill for bringing an entirely new dimension to an already very well-known track. Solomun's 'Selected Remixes 2009 - 2015' is a great overview of the multiple facets of Solomun's unique yet ever evolving production style. His seminal label Diynamic reaches its 10th anniversary this year, marking the perfect time for this retrospective release.
