Derek Carr is back at it with "Right Time, Right Place" on WSS009, a testimony to what most would consider vintage and ageless by now. Grooving in all the right places with Giuliano Lomonte also chopping up and dubbing things down with his remix of "Tiger", Derek lines up 3 very different tracks that bring to light his quirky, dubby, heavy footed yet dreamy and blissful environment.

Blaq Numbers welcomes Explorer Of The Humankind back to
the stable with his latest work, "Where Did Y’all Go?".
Combining lots of handmade drums & machines with hazy
synths, he explored a new set of influences while writing and
recording from 2018-2019. The four original compositions
now find themselves on a brand new 12” backed by remixes
from Detroit’s Byron The Aquarius and Larry Houl. "Where Did
Y’all Go?" expands on EOTH's previously established House
sound and brings in elements of bedroom pop, with lyrical
content exploring the modern conundrum of maintaining
relationships in the age of social media. Not much is known
about the Lyon native, but his music has built him a keen
worldwide following since his debut productions surfaced in
2017.

Snad continues to break new ground in his mad prolificacy. The stunning sonic precision of Akufen collides with the funky rhythmic sensibility of Titonton from the very first tune here. The blue chords on First Flake float over a bumpity house groove; The Extract and Flaw inject breaks into the flow. Completely of this moment, yet with an unmistakable timelessness, Snad's distinctive balancing act is a remarkable success.

Part five of Hivern Discs' Fragments compilation. While compilations tend to look backwards, 'Fragments' is far from being a retrospective. Since its launch in 2008, Hivern Discs has favoured a documentary approach, capturing the most vital and exciting sounds within its orbit at each particular moment. In keeping with the ethos of the label, this extensive compilation, comprising 29 new tracks across six 12?s, offers a panoramic glimpse of Hivern's present and gives indications as to its near future. The artists featured comprise both fresh and familiar faces; some of them have been a foundational presence since the beginning (John Talabot, Pional, Marc Pinol), others are recent acquaintances (Epsilove, Fantastic Man, Inga Mauer, Samo DJ). Together the compilation makes for a snapshot of Hivern's current identity, with a wide array of names and projects connecting the dots between the sounds, moods and ideas that continue to inspire and move the label today. Hivern was born a decade ago as a platform to celebrate a shared sensibility beyond any semblance of categorization. And that's what this collection of music is all about.

'We continue our journey into a new musical chapter as we present the first instalment of our vinyl only series. From the off we set out to bring a dark, yet groovy energy in the form of Vadim Oslov. Deriving from France he has built a reputation for his signature percussive style with deep obscure baselines; accompanied by influences from contemporary music and organic sounds to create mysterious experimental atmospheres with a minimal touch. He sets the tone perfectly for the first three tracks with a consistency to his unique sound.
Needing no introduction to the underground minimal scene, we are pleased to welcome Vid as he provides us with a driving remix filled with twisted organic sounds conducted with sharp, crispy drums to finish off the EP in good fashion. For now we will let the music do the rest of the talking, enjoy.'

In 2017, Markus Homm and his romanian partner in crime Mihai Popoviciu, successfully launched our Still Hot label with their "Insomnis EP". Followed by his solo releases "Don't Know Why" and "Pleasure", we are now looking forward to the Still Hot 20, which features two great original tracks, as well as a superb Mihai Popoviciu remix.
The title track "Once again" is reminiscent of the hit "Insomnis". A playful arpeggio gives the track a nice vibe, paired with dub sounds, vocal shreds and a groovy house bassline a la Homm.
Mihai's remix is close to the original, but gives the track a more aggressive touch.
The deep house track “Bora" closes the SH-20 and we are super happy about this great package for our anniversary release

Having delivered two outstanding EPs and a landmark triple compilation, Portugal's Pluie/Noir now returns with its first full-length album. Assigned with the enviable task is
enigmatic German producer The Marx Trukker, who has thus far kept us on our toes with a string of high-quality EPs on a handful of respected independent imprints.
With a natural affinity for experimental soundscapes that challenge dancefloors, Pluie/Noir offers the perfect platform for him to really express himself.
As much a palette of textures as it is a dance-focused collection of tracks, Couldn't See Too Clear For Edges is a kaleidoscopic and utterly transfixing listen all the way through.
The very first track, Alongside ashortside' (A1) is infused with the sort of jazzy, impulsive flavours that are part of the album - and the label's - DNA. But the tempos ebb and flow, at
times withdrawing all intensity ( The Gin Bay Hoss Ballad' (A2)), before cascading into tightly compressed microhouse rhythms ( A Kind Shaped Mind' (A3)) and other more
expansive 4x4 examinations: Couldn't See Too Clear for Edges (Two Movements)' (B1),
As Rivers Stand' (C1). Regardless of the occasionally dramatic shifts, the album never
once loses its focus. Minor Belongings' (C3) is arguably the album's finest creation in
terms of a true artistic indulgence. Dreamy and deeply absorbing, it feeds into the album's
powerful finale, Blaue Drift' (D1), which is one of the more aggressive works on show here.
As we've come to expect, Pluie/Noir again challenges what can be achieved within the parameters of dance music by empowering its carefully selected repertoire of artists.
As standard, the album will come as a limited pressing, this time around of transparent green vinyl, with a beautiful hand-drawn black and white artwork cover, ensuring this is as collectible
as it is listenable.o

After almost a year of thoughtful insight, multiple preparations and organizational rebooting,
Pluie/Noir is looking at a bright new year with several side-projects at hand and a fresh set
of steady releases. Experimental Media is one of those side-projects, A new home for
free-styled, intimate works for well established or underrated, unknown artists. The first
release of Experimental Media was a double-cassette compilation that joined 20
artists on a musical sandbox with a bit of everything, and a story for everyone.
Volkan Akin is a fresh name in the scene that already buzzed some radars worldwide
and succeeded in impressing and released his music in well established imprints like
Sammy Dee's Ultrastrech where he had his brilliant debut with a Villalobos remix. With
Sinister' he skims away from his usual stripped down minimalistic grooves and presents
us two tracks of lush, intimate works of deep textures, analog machine love-making noises
and intricate drum arrangements with very personal tones. And while the A side Sinister'
keeps us on edge with a virtually consistent momentum of suspense and a very conven-
iently sinister mood, the flipside Atest' takes us on a ride between the high skies and the deep
seas, on a seamlessly neverending loop of peaceful pads and very addicting dreamy tones.
This very special limited release comes in a unusual but deliciously collectible transparent
yellow 10' vinyl with a remarkable and equally sinister painting by New York-based artist Emily
Marchesiello, art director and co-Founder of the Galerie Project. She specializes in fantasy
animal portraiture art, via ink, water color and oil paint.

Ark To Ashes label boss Shadi Megallaa got some down-time from his Dubai record shop, The Flip Side, to produce this EP. It features 2 original productions with one being a collaboration with fellow Egyptian & Dubai resident Omar Fayyad.
The remixes on the EP come courtesy of Rhauder with his signature subaquatic dub techno & another of Shadi’s friends, the prolific electro wizard Reedale Rise. Ark To Ashes has returned & it’s not looking back.
Düve is a very mysterious project, probably due to the intense (albeit exotic) eastern folk instrumentation that populate their sonic structures. René Audiard & Ali Çakir have been exploring a bit of it all from crunchy techno grooves to emotionally charged slow drives, and
together they managed to create a very peculiar sonic balance that captivates from the moment it passes our ears.
Düve's Hargate' is a four-part voyage through the intricate musical roots, complex poli-rhythms and warm musicality of the eastern mediterranean lands. 'Esti' (A1) starts the EP in pure instrumental glory. Played by Adam Birson, the melody from the Oud is loud,
ethereal and emotionally charged, topped with sparkles of modulated synth patterns and pulsing noises for full meditative effect. The EP's title track 'Hargate' (A2) is soaked in a sort of nostalgia for sun-bathed Turkish soils, but under it there's a ever-moving train of
remarkable rhythmic endulgence and a very human sense of groove. A tour-de-force in balance between musicality and arrangement that stays with you like fata morgana.
The flip-side goes deeper and darker in ambience. While 'Yek Tas' (B1) feels like a 4-by-4 hichhicker's guide through underground Istanbul and built around the tension and release
of drum-echoes and reverberized pads, 'Sehayat' (B2) brings back the sound (and emotion)
of Ali's darbuka/santur and Soren's complex drum arrangements for a slow, dreamy drive.
This EP was visually interpreted by Juli Jah in a hand-made artistic depiction of Istanbul,
extraordinarily fitting to this installment of an ever strengthening series of releases Pluie/Noir
collectors grew accustomed to. Limited Pressing.
Japan: the land of the rising sun and one of the worlds biggest havens for creative,
forward-thinking musical freedom. Masters of a infinite number of stripped down, funk
infused brands of electronic music, the japanese crews of music makers are usually teams
of noble perfectionists.
Consistently shining a bright guiding light on the japanese scene, Radiq (aka Yoshihiro
Hanno) remains one of Japans best exports and the reflection of what it means to be a true
musician while managing his own japan-talent-only imprint Op.Disc with wit and will.
Rhapsody' adds to the chameleon's release catalog a 4-tracker of deep musicality, expansive
4x4 examinations and textured realms that ebb and flow between dance-focused sonatas and the
kaleidoscopic intimate travels, and ultimately begging a listen all the way through. The title
track 'Rhapsody' (A) is Yoshihiro's signature exploration of humanized rhyrhms, crisp claps
and deep low-ends that ebb and flow with a very peculiar organic steadiness. Circulatory
Breathes' (B) uses micro-house patterns as starting point to build something more intricate
where robotic movements remain constantly intertwined with amoebic perc-samples, vocal
snippets, groove swings and jazzy synths. Clocking at 14 minutes, the dreamy and deeply
absorbing Antigone' (C) is the EP's longest work, and a true hypnotic anthem that works
like a musical vortex. Radiq's artistic indulgence culminates with Sad Strings' (D), the
EP's jazziest exploration around heavy drum programming and dramatic mood shifts.
The double EP was visually interpreted by Max Binski in a heavily textured acrylic painting,
giving this release the visual perk Pluie/Noir collectors grew accustomed to. Limited Pressings.

When was the last time you were Hearing Colours?
Long term music companions, and more importantly close friends, Felipe Valenzuela and Argenis Brito unite once more for their collaboration project - FAER, showcasing their timeless chemistry. This time the Berlin based duo have created an innovative four track EP, “The Fraud Era” and it is ready to see the light of day on the blossoming Hearing Colours label which is co-founded by Felipe himself, and Miami based Max Kraushaar.
Opener “Space Cuts” is a serious and gritty number, with real tenacity, hypnotic synths melt into the snappy and crisp broken drums. Squelchy acid bass leads you down a path of curiosity in “Trick Or Trick”, before being met with an intricate groove that enables you to release the tension. Two dancefloor dynamic tracks, both in their own right.
The B side showcases the more eclectic and complex side to the pair's productions. Mysterious tones and atmospheres continuously evolve in “Inmersion”, creating an otherworldly yet infectious mood. Mechanical whirrs and bleeps maneuver their way around a glitchy body in the final track, “Fraud Era”. Trippy and eccentric energy for the after party hours, intelligently arranged by two masters of their craft.
Since their well received “Internal Jokes And Other Matters'' EP on Raum Musik... tastemakers have been patiently waiting for the next FAER encounter, and this will undoubtedly wroth the wait.

Earlier in the year, we heaped tons of praise on the booming, breakbeat-driven first EP from Pilot, which showcased a quartet of killer cuts from Johannes Kolter. He returns to action on this EP, taking control of the B-side to offer-up the funky, sample-heavy electro/breaks fusion of 'B2R' (think Layo & Bushwacka's classic material and you're close) and the more spacey, electro-focused bubbliness of 'Systematic'. While they're both very good, we'd argue that North Phase's A-side tracks are even better. Choose between the dubby and hypnotic breakbeat-house roll of 'Feel It', and 'Escape From Planet X', a deeper, more bass-heavy chunk of breakbeat pleasure that comes complete with fizzing electronic noises, deep bass and some suitably trippy synth sounds.

After a successful first release, we are very pleased to present the next one by an icon & legend of house music. The years go by and Brian Cavender aka Seafoam does not stop impressing us with his music, these 4 tracks are accurately what we seek to capture on each release, music with that style that made us fall in love in the late '90s and early new century. The impressive thing here is that without mentioning which of these 4 tracks were made in the '90s. When we asked Brian for music and told him about our ideology he understood us perfectly and sent us a folder named "Old cuts", music made from roughly around 1995 to 2000. When we listened to the tracks we recognized that this was music created in the past but still sounds super fresh, another timeless gem for the ufo series catalog.

They say we are a product of our environment, you are what you eat and you reap what you sow. But what happens when you can no longerdig the earth and your food is toxic Amselcom has forever been near the forefront of change, exposing new ideas and giving insight through music and creativity. Our goal was always to bring the world closer by removing barriers and letting sounds and rhythm demonstrate humanity's true, loving nature. That is why a transformation has taken place and with this latest release we hope to give back and contribute without the shallow, meaningless compensation that feeds the music industry.
Geplantes Nichtstun demonstrates this concept perfectly, by saying it is time to remove ourselves from the machine and make our own way, in our own time. These tracks look to offer introspective that can only be found after eliminating barriers like money and fame. Taking time for idleness lets us forget about the things that try and control our lives, a necessary respite in a time of increasing global noise.Tracks like Opak offer the perfect accompaniment to a quiet time of soulful reflection and Mario Wagner's wonderful Control Room image brings us the idea of self direction and taking charge of your own destiny... one rest at a time.

Mike 'Agent X' Clark is a true hero of the Detroit scene, but he rarely gets the props he deserves, making any outing of his a cause for celebration. El Provost's No Speakers label knows what's up, and they've drafted in Clark for his killer jam "The Heat." The name is no foil, this track will set any party ablaze with its distinctive speech sample and saucy rhythm section. Alongside the original, there is a strong cast of remixers on hand to serve up deadly variations, from the label boss' skipping, psyched-out groover to Ben Sims' appropriately thumping techno workout. Peter Rocket especially impresses with a crafty breaks version that should slot in nicely with the resurgent electro scene.
Italian crew Unknown Collective come correct on this latest Purism joint as they drop some seriously bumping deep house heat to get bodies popping with approval. "Nodi" is the consummate A side jam, all exuberant energy and rock solid functionality, just like a DJs best friend should be. "Virgo" is, on the surface, a slinkier affair, but don't be fooled as there's some serious weight in that bassline which will absolutely rock on a proper soundsystem. "Arya" is the dreamier cut on the record - the groove is still solid, but there's a dreamy tone to the pad hovering in the background and the track is sprinkled with all kinds of extra sonic delights to toy with your mind at the hazy end of the dance.

Half Baked are back with a new record from Pressure Traxx main man Arno. On this particular record the minimal tastemaker is indulging his love of hip hop and rave culture, artfully distilling rowdy elements into a funky twist on the micro house aesthetic. It's a potent blend that reaches from the scatty delights of "Why Does The Lion Get Lost In The Jungle?" to the chirpy organ-led "No Car; Big Garage". On the flip, there's a more distinctly house slant to "He Displays Nothing But", with the same playful demeanour powering the grooves albeit in a more stripped back way.

"Time & Space", Jorge Caiado's debut album, took a 7 year creative cycle to be conceived and finished. It's the synthesis of a prolific period dedicated to exploring the many facets of House music.
Since his first release on Balance, back in 2012, Jorge has captured the attention of several father figures of the electronic music universe such as Chez Damier, Move D or Andrew Weatherall, but "Time & Space" is not about the legacy so far but totally about original repertoire composed specifically for the album format.
"Time & Space" is a journey into sound where the artist brings the vitality of jazz back to House with the help of 2 other fine musicians.
Another essential soundtrack to Lisbon's vibrant electronic music scene just landed!

Berlin-based Josef Gaard hits the golden ratio on "2929," an immersive big room track with equal appeals to the mind and body. "Rumin," meanwhile, sees Gaard uses techno as a gateway to harsh noise and glacial ambient. Avancera (the duo of Mountain Explosion Device boss Kalawila and Dorisburg) cap things off with a stripped-down remix that emphasizes "2929"'s subtle rhythmic menace.
Over four releases, Mountain Explosion Device had made its intentions clear—to release the absolute best in subtly morphing, psychedelic techno. The new single from Josef Gaard is a timeless example of this sound. The seething track's pitter-patter kicks and perfectly timed delays eschew traditional melody, instead working with vast sheets of sound. It's a track for tunneling deep into your own psyche while dancing in the dark with friends. Gaard's release on label Total Black, explores the connections between techno, harsh noise and ambient, and "Rumin" accomplishes a similar journey over seven minutes—beginning in the club and leaving off in some desolate wilderness. Label founder Kalawila and Mountain Explosion alumnus Dorisburg use their years of experience moving crowds for their subtle tweak of "2929." Their remix as Avancera adds a shade of acid while emphasizing the original's subtle rhythmic menace.

"Silvestre returns to Secretsundaze with his follow up to the 'Silvestre Is Boss EP'
The Portuguese producer has always lifted inspiration from Rap, R&B and Reggaeton but this EP showcases a more stripped down sound with four rugged, ruffed up house heaters.
To quote Silvestre himself "I wanted to make bangers, my current inspirations have been coming from UK Drill, Ghetto House, Randomer and Jimmy Lacoste."AA
The 'Supercool EP' features more of Silvestre's voice than previous EP's weaving it into the tracks like most producers use vocal samples, obviously inspired by Dance Mania and old skool Chicago records. 'Love U' then flips the script and brings the vocals upfront with a paean to an unrequited crush.ASilvestre is evidently a man of many tricks but this new spin on raw club bangers is really working for me and can't wait until I can hear these played loud in a dark sweaty club!
Since his last Secretsundaze release Silvestre has released two EP's on Meda Fury (including remixes from friends and contemporaries from Principe Discos) and a track on the R&S NHS compilation alongside the likes of Lone, Djrum, Anz, TSVI, Yak and Fausia. A

DeepnosiS’ very first release has been developed by the Sardinian producer Hubble that, with his intriguing sounds and personality, purely represents the essence of the label. The EP opens up with a journey outside the borders of reality where “Antidote” recreates an engaging soundscape of surprises. Side B continues with slower rhythms introducing “Samply Perc” a trippy and almost palpable track. Finally, deep atmosphere pads in “Ozone” flow into a progressive ride of percussions developing into a downtempo techno concept.

Seattle vinyl imprint Rhizome Records presses its second release: Mithra AM. Longtime Seattle favorite Summit Dub provides the title track “Mithra AM” with side B featuring two remixes via our Romanian friends. Cosmin Năstasă aka Cosmjn and BRYZ are two of the brightest talents in Romanian minimal, each offering an intriguing take on “Mithra AM”.
“Mithra AM” on side A patiently gathers steam, generating tension alongside an alluring vocal that calls out to ethereal morning hours. As the atmosphere expands in the second half of the track warmth arrives in lush waves.
Cosmjn’s remix is up first on side B of the EP, picking up the pace and dipping into afterhours moods. Enveloping bass suspends lingering threads of the side A original while an acid melody charges into new territory.
Side B closes out with BRYZ’s remix which lightens the mood and adds a playful bounce and mysterious flashes of tribal sounds. BRYZ’s treatment caps a versatile EP designed to captivate exploratory dance spaces.

The Beeyou crew are buzzing around once again, this time with The Digger EP which sees the return of a few label mainstays as well as some new bees entering the hive. Laidlaw & Le Louche kick off the A1 combining for AH HA. Although the name may sound funny, the beat is anything but that with serious grooves and a wicked bassline. The dutch powerhouse that is Julian Anthony returns to the label with the driving thumper Zero Gravity, which also comes with a “dance floor destroyer” warning attached. On the B side Zach Murray & Jake Kav take us deep & bubbly with Force Of Nature before rising talent Harry Felce rounds things off with Tantrum, a solid rave inspired flavour that combines the best of the 90s with a new UK sound.

KONTENT continues its impressive run of vinyl releases, as it welcomes a slew of rising Romanian producers to its new VA.
Featuring the compelling sounds of Chivru, Hippex (Hipp and Alex Ungureanu), Kiva & Sonohat, KONTENT showcases the depth of talent on offer in Romania’s underground circles. Opening with the dulcet tones of Chivru’s ’Heyday Of Youth’, the Ep traverses an eclectic and altogether groovy sonic aesthetic. Continuing with the sexy, baseline laden ’Drowning By The Light’ by Hippex things escalate as we soar onwards and into Kivva’s dreamy cut ‘1st Century, landing firmly in the grip of Sonohat’s gritty, melancholic cut ‘Modelar. Another firm and fitting statement for KONTENT, as the label proves the talent isn’t just at the top

The world of dance music 25 years ago was a very different place from the one we now inhabit. Rave had transitioned through Hardcore into Drum & Bass whilst UK Garage was brewing nicely and the UK pop charts were full of underground dance records. Meanwhile, the likes of Mo Wax, Ninjatune and Compost were pushing away from the dancefloors, introducing blunted beats, jazz-fusion sonics and a whole new movement to electronic music. It was into this atmosphere that Freerange was born, a UK label that reaches its quarter-century this year. At the helm over the last 25 years has been the partnership of childhood friends Tom Roberts and Jamie ‘Jimpster’ Odell.
It’s been a long and eventful journey, from an era of 56k modems, faxed reaction reports and when DJs still bought actual records, Freerange has weathered many storms and sailed through some of the most revolutionary changes to hit the music industry. Through those 25 years, and like the proverbial comforting sound of Bob Ross’ voice, Jimpster’s own music and those artists he releases through the label remain a constantly reliable, not to mention dance floor-smashing presence through the ups and downs of the house music continuum.
This Anthology brings together some of Jimpster’s finest productions across two double pack vinyl LPs from the preceding two and a half decades, showcasing his detailed approach to production and proving why he continues to thrive in the current scene, continuing to be held in high regard by many of the founding fathers of house music and young up and coming producers alike.
The comp kicks off with the absolute dance floor fire of 2008’s ‘Dangly Panther’, a simple combo of some keys, some beats, some FX and a jazzy sample, but executed with such class and confidence that it became a deep house staple. ‘Seventh Wave’ first appeared in 2006 as part of Jimpster’s ‘Amour’ album. It’s a bit deeper, a bit techier and with a few more bleeps and plenty of that characteristic Jimpster heft and weight: proper 3 am business. ‘Don’t Push It’, features some of finest percussion you’ll hear on a contemporary house record, gorgeous strings and that indefinable something that Jimpster brings to all his records, that raise them above being a collection of pads, keys, beats and bass into compositions with longevity that you can dig out and play ten years after release and they still slay.
In some ways, this collection is a record of developments in UK Deep House as Jimpster slowly refined his sound over the years, continually reinventing the 4/4 template, creating new sounds, fresh chord progressions and original audio ideas, all geared towards creating memorable dance floor moments. He’s perfected a UK version of the sublime anticipation that is at the heart of the very best Deep House, that sense of sitting on the very edge of ecstasy, creating tracks that wonderfully stretch out those blissful moments.
What also becomes clear from listening through this compilation is the variety of styles and moods he’s bought to his releases. 2009’s ‘Sleeper’ for example is sleek, driving and futurist while 2018’s ‘Curve’ almost glows with a sun-kissed warmth. ‘Can’t Stop Loving’ from 2012’s ‘These Times’ EP is another tough jam, with its twisted vocal sample and prominent kick working in perfect sync with a set of classic Jimpster arms-in-the-air chords and wonderfully squelching bassline, an exercise in confident production. Meanwhile, the beguiling ‘Rollergirl’ has hints of EBM in its rigid sequenced bassline and epic pads.
Bringing us bang up to date is last year’s anthem-in-waiting ‘One’ featuring Casamena, a ticking time bomb of a track just yearning for a packed dance floor to go off in. Also included is the magnificent ‘English Rose’ featuring some of the tightest beats ever put on wax and its vocal-pads that are haunted by the ghost of ‘Blue Monday’. Ben Watt’s Buzzin Fly label was home to 2006’s ‘Square Up’, seven and a half minutes of gorgeous chords getting thoroughly rinsed out through a series of subtle peaks and troughs, Deep House heaven. In contrast, we’ve also included 2018’s absolute monster ‘Burning Up’, a taste of the tougher side of Jimpster’s production and a track 100% guaranteed to take the roof off every time. Likewise, his ‘A Love Like This’ is another crisp and highly efficient underground anthem. The album finishes on the almost-psychedelic sonic-soul treat ‘The Sun Comes Up’ featuring vocalist Jinadu, taken from the peerless ‘Silent Stars album.
In addition to Volumes One and Two, there is also a third (digital only) volume containing a selection of Jimpster’s more downtempo gems for the more horizontal moments.
Jimpster has become a watchword in house music for a particular kind of Deep House depth, warmth and groove, a reliable source of utterly solid dance floor jams, his production schedule a conveyor belt of high-quality sonic bombs, loved by DJs and punters alike. Here’s to another quarter of a century of Jimpster's music.

Positive Not Happy debuts with label owners The Lumens, djs and production duo behind Milan’s most exciting underground events such as Phoenix Room, Pennyroyal After Tea and Electronic Barbecue.
Positive Not Happy is also an effective description of the label style, a blend of house, techno, electro and acid elements mixed in a high energy club voyage, tinged with psychedelic influences. That’s why we say Positive Not Happy is “Home Of Psycho House”. In line with the original tracks, Stephan Bazbaz delivers a “game changing” slamming remix, in which he mixes goa-trance elements with a powerful straight house beat. Thomas A.S. on the flip side complete the line-up with a lush, cool and deeper groove interpretation.

Subtil celebrates their 20th release with the industrious Romanian artist Direkt. His Path of Most Resistance EP contains three fresh, snazzy, minimal tunes beginning with the entrancing, dark trip of A-Side “Past Present” to the mesmerizing “Path of Most Resistance” on the flip. And for the finale he brings “Vitamin”, which fascinates through its determined minimalism.

On the A-side, -Paradigm- gets us off the ground with a headstrong bassline dripping 90s-aware acidalia. Harking back to the golden age of Destelbergen, a twisted voice makes short work of any presenting competition. -Prettyboy- takes things across the Atlantic, with reverberations of New York s heydays tangible throughout. Spinning around an ever extending groove, the tried and tested dancefloor drama slowly loses it thread and comes undone – before a skipping rhythm puts all the pieces back in place. Access the deepest cut on the flip: Laid out across a full side, -Serendipity- is an understated collection of accidents. With its undulating melodies stimulating the glowing mind, it crosses barriers between house music, techno, and the chillout floors of yore.

Now time and space are right to open a new chapter with the own vinyl-only label. We hooked up with Ricardo Villalobos and concluded that it is time to release the beast called Mecker after 14 years of maturing. The track appeared first time in 2007 on the famous Fabric 36 Mix CD.
The cover-artwork is done by our fabulous Juli Jah which gives the release its special touch.

Beginning in 2008, Nathan Taylor produces techno and DJs under the alias “Sponge Bath,” creating his own space for rhythmic sound design, straight forward DJ tools, and an unabashed love of the more psychedelic and experimental sides of music intended for the club, dancing, and the mix. Based in Carrboro, North Carolina, he has spent the better part of a decade learning, gigging, and DJing throughout the region. Previously, he’s released recordings on Tonelog Records, Grovl Tapes, New Body Tapes, and Acid Etch Recordings.
“Tributary,” his first double vinyl release, contains seven tracks of hardware techno, recorded over the span of three years in his home studio and intended for the working DJ to use and abuse in service of the dance floor. The record exists as a small link-in-the-chain of American dance music, paying tribute to those who pioneered the sound of the underground dancefloor. 100% respect and gratitude to the elders, the trailblazers, the unknowns who’ve paid the price and continue on.

We kick things off on the A-side with Rowlanz. The track is called Colours which transcends into the music itself. From the get go there is a perfect arrangement of layers. The tribal and progressive nature of the synths, accompanied with bird like pads takes us deep through the Jungle into an unknown land. The breakdown is truly hypnotic. You get completely lost turning off from the world around you. It’s safe to say this is some of our favourite work from Rowlanz to date as the artist stays true to form.
Bucharest’s Direkt’s follows on the A2. This is a track that instantly grabs your attention with a definitive thunderous kick coupled with a dubby raw bassline. Dark and mysterious pads and harmonic stabs lend to the track brilliantly. Layer and upon layer unfolds. It is the sort of track which will be completely transformed when played on a big system taking on a new entity and meaning.
On the B-side Sublee, an artist who needs very little introduction. With recent releases on Rowle, RE.FACE and Baumbaum Label. His ability to experiment and play with sounds is really something to behold. Simpa has got a bomb written all over it from the off as the track explodes with deep driving kicks and a hypnotic grooving bassline. The track twists and turns as new elements are introduced with the skipping hats and percussion to keep the energy.
Last but certainly not least Vern steps up the plate bringing a more relaxed feel to the close of the EP. Pads and synths paint a picture of wondrous temples of ancient lands. Skipping hats coupled with a mellow continuous bassline keeps you moving. Intricate wind pipes, chimes and strings can be heard throughout to create moments of peace. It’s very easy to get lost in absolute contentment.

we are very happy to announce this killer remix package. our dear friend superpitcher(aka pachanga boys) made three versions of remix.
studio mule’s original version which is produced by kuniyuki takahashi and sung by miyako koda (aka dip in the pool) is a cover version of japanese 80’s dance classic by taeko onuki.
superpitcher’s main mix is just for your peaktime set. it’s much more groovy and dance floor friendly than original version. it might be this summer anthem(if the party will be restarted…).
dub mix is more stripped down version and for more disco oriented dj. we love this version so much since superpitcher have been playing at his dj set.
ambient mix sounds like a japanese kankyo ongaku,it’s simply beautiful meditative music. beautiful cover design is by lily fei in new york, she is our new favorite illustrator.
Amsterdam’s new vinyl only imprint Stately Records kicks off with a deep 3-tracker by the well respected Russian artist Anton Kubikov. For this release Anton took full control of the amazing Black Corporation Kijimi Synthesizer, with which he created all the sounds (except the drums), to make this EP a superb experience of sound design.

The long-awaited return of the Russian duo Interpolarm is vividly marked by the new fruits of their consciousness called Melchior Ep in the first catalog of the label.
This time the sound of the album is very different from the band's early work. Two original tracks symbolizm a single-phase alloy of two elements, giving preference to the mood of Detroit. The deep and at the same time transparent groove in The Bald is very subtly combined with hating arpeggios, which makes this composition playable and varied.
Melchior itself presents a more frank picture, where bright chords flirt with a cheerful rhythm and masked percussion.
A great addition to these combinations is the remix from Acusmouse, which has already managed to double check out releases on Rawax and uncompromising dance Ep on LittleHelpers. Gaining momentum, this musician always offers the listener fresh solutions on the verge of romance and humor.
