since long, chilean/swiss producer and dj luciano is a prominent figure in the global electron-ic club music circle. already from a young age on he was exposed to music profoundly, as his father worked as a jukebox repairman and possessed a large record collection.

when he was twelve, his mother gifted him a guitar, that turned luciano shortly into a mem-ber of a school punk rock band. soon after, his passion for electronic music rose. infected by detroit techno and engaged by close friends like producer dandy jack, he started to play rec-ords in local santiago de chile dance clubs and became involved in the minimal techno scene around friends like ricardo villalobos.

when luciano moved back from chile to switzerland in 2000, he established a residency at weetamix club in geneva, started releasing his own productions on labels like mental groove and joining the cocoon team in ibiza to play at the famous monday night at club amnesia.

since then he is a regular on the balearic island, holding residencies at clubs like dc10 or, with his “vagabundos” serial, at ushuaïa. besides playing around the globe with the likes of carl craig, richie hawtin or loco dice, he is releasing groundbreaking minimal techno and house on his label cadenza since 2003, featuring music by artists like nsi, ricardo villalobos, pikaya, reboot, maayan nidam and himself.

his very own music, so far issued on three albums and countless eps, was always ambiguous. there is his club leaning creativity that can dance slightly into pop spheres while never for-getting the power of precise sliced rhythms and subtle bass sensations.

and then there is a calmer luciano, that displays his love for “music to listen at home, done for a spiritual travel, an inner universe and a moment paralyzed in ether”, as he describes it.

on his first ever mule musiq album release “luci neu house”, luciano now delivers meditative journey music full of repetitive patterns that slowly playing tricks on the listeners subcon-sciousness. “i love music that has a dimension more than music designed for the radio or tv format. mu-sic, that is designed to bring you a higher level of energy and creativity.

so, there is no pretentious things in it ... more just sounds and dimension that will lead your head into the fall of jupiter” he reveals about the one-hour long composition “luci neu house”, whose esoteric deepness reminds on the intensely meditative class of his older pro-ductions like “behind my soul” from 2010.

an epic tune cut on vinyl into four 15-minute long pieces, who shift slowly, almost unper-ceived, whilst absorbing the mind of close observers into a micro-sliced world of moving gen-tleness.

maelstrom magnetism against the gravity of time, that also can be found on the additional mule musiq 257 12inch, which functions as a soothing footnote to luciano’s album.

the almost 13 minutes long trip “flags of himalaya” opens with restful percussions that unhur-riedly start to dance with soft string, piano and horn melodies. on the opposite, the nine-minute long “the evasion of the spiritual soldier” grooves laidback with jazzy rhythms and italo leaning melodies.

a perfect tune for slow dance sensations and endless sunset seaside drives. at a total length of almost 90 minutes, all new mule musiq music composed by luciano distributes a mesmer-izing healing spirit, that grounds organically, even if it is totally rooted in the digital, soft-ware driven world of composing music. “check your buddha” tunes, that somehow sound novel during each new listening circle.

This second set of remixes from Paris-based eight-piece Cotonete's "Super-Vilains" album is another heavyweight selection with Alex Attias, DJ Deep and Romain Poncet and Aleq Notal all coming correct. For his part, Attias keeps the jazz-tinged Latin vibes front and centre with a sunny, sweaty jam laced with house goodness. DJ Deep & Romain Poncet dub things out for those more subtle moments in the night, when a slick rolling groove is enough to hypnotise a crowd, and then it's pure bumping and jazzy deep house from Aleq Notal. Elements of 90s deepness, lounge vibes and funk all colour in the airwaves as you bask in the goodness of his work.

His melodies, his new and successful fusions between different musical styles, and the flawless and classy productions of his records has earned him being copied but rarely equalled. St Germain is a real reference and his influence has been decisive for the French scene. When he started out on the Dance Division of Fnac Music, Ludovic Navarre, 21, stood out above all in the techno world, coming out of maxis in 1991.

Capodopere are back with their yearly wax phenomenon, having Suolo on the sixth issue after stamping the catalog with Fanfaronade and Fenomen releases. He has seen touchable changes within the last couple of years as the visions morphed into more subtle and dusky ones, tailoring the pieces to the new eyes wide open conception.


The ready-steady-go is how we have seen the outset of this record as “No Proof” slams into the speakers with an assaulting force, taking over the surroundings and advancing into the layers of bass lines. Some elements of the piece are carrying geological provenience as Suolo has grounded the percussions and laid the path for the coming vocals. It is certain that the magic happens around the deliberate vocals that as well as their enchanting presence throughout - mark the lively beginning of a musical hike.

As we move to the next episode of the chronicles, “Rudiment” speaks a lot about Suolo’s founding bases, with the heavy lower notes being the first ones to reach the receptors. With no dissonance for ourselves, “Rudiment” is where he achieved the perfect balance between the low and high, inside a spiral of circling ambient buildup. Gently overlapping the A side, B1 is the piece that plunges between the beginning and the ending of this EP. He recreates imaginary sojourns through the layered dissociation of the field elements. It is as Susumu Yokota would produce music for club floors.

“Oasis” is a well-anticipated continuation. The gurgling sub-bass is noted at the first sight yet the rest of the cookout is at the preparation stage. A slashing indigenous voice becomes the companion of the piece throughout the deserted lands of layered pads. We reach the oasis when the sandy kicks are taking over the desolated fields, peaking into the various luminescent shots paired with playful melodies of a recreated xylophone. Is it a somber downhill or an elevating escalator?

It's been almost three years since our good friend Giorgio Maulini made his first appearance on the label. Since then, it's only been upwards and onwards for the young talent, between founding his own imprint and events label "Underground Town" and becoming a Modernity resident, to name only a few achievements.

Spaceport is a driving yet fairly stripped-back piece of music, somewhere in between tech-house and micro-house. The omnipresent synth riff is a backbone to a solid groove just right for buillding up towards middle of the night intensity. Atmospheric synth chords bring a delicate third dimension to the track for an overal well-balanced work, nice job!

On the remix, we couldn't be happier to welcome an artist who has been making serious waves with a very specific, easy to recognise signature-style: Mr Silat Beksi. The feel is slightly nastier and dirtier than the original and the energy is taken down a notch. Listen as your brain is teased and seduced by the female vocal FX braking the monotony and lovely delicate keyboard patterns contribute to a rich clever arrangement.

One of the most eagerly anticipated electronic albums of 2012 is finally released! After a series of groundbreaking singles: 'Pain In the Ass', 'I'm Week' and 'Ghetto Kraviz' (featured here) Muscovite Nina Kraviz is set to release her eponymously titled debut artist album on Radio Slave's superb Rekids imprint.

Nina's album is a combination of stripped-bare house, deepest Detroit sounds via beautifully ambient pockets and more soul infused slo-mo jams, all coated with an authentic analogue finish and Nina exquisite vocals. The music is emotive and engaging, whilst being something truly original and inspirational. The album features collaborations with Hard Ton and King Aus. Playing out like a full artistic statement rather than just a collection of tracks, the odd time signatures, innocent and waify vocals, muted acid lines and hypnotic loops layered up by Nina all work subtly at pulling you into her world. A superbly, executed and accomplished debut album that has already set the bar high for electronic albums this year.

UK producer Pierre Codarin launches his self-titled imprint with three rhythmic house cuts from himself this January.
Establishing a name in recent years by dropping solid releases on the likes of Leftroom, Resonance Records and Huxley & Jimmy Posters Saints & Sonnets, news of Pierre Codarins decision to form an imprint will please fans of his distinct sounding aesthetic. A burgeoning star that continually turns the heads of his industry peers, Codarins rise is indisputably envious having garnered early support from the likes of Mr. G, Rolando, Groove Armada, A Sagittariun, Laurent Garnier and Raresh.

The A side sees Codarin employ firm kicks and piercing snares in a mesmerising roller complete with a heady bassline, spectral atmospherics and various subtleties throughout the mix. B1 is then more understated in nature, featuring shuffling hats, chilling pads and intricate details, before the B2 delivers a fuzzy hook, acid licks and esoteric whirrs for a track geared for peaktime bedlam.

A talented painter from Kherson /UA/ Konstantin Tereshchenko, inspired by the tracks of Kirik , provided his artistic work "Tears of Lust" for the cover this release !

A1. The EP starts off with the title track "BBANGBGBANF" . Its little story about Bad Boys , Bad Boys Are Not Good But Good Boy Are Not Fun , this track packed with evolving guitar melodies , male whispers and with dark groove that will get the floor going .

A2. This second track "Tears of Lust" the track is gaining momentum as if a tear is rolling , is sounding exactly like that - a quiet solitary place during a storm and sounds guitar , you are upset after a break your relationship , but you must control yourself and live on !
And after a long guitar like after a rain , a confident strong groove appears as if a ray of light in the sky and you step confident .

Alex Arnout's vinyl debut on Infuse finds the London based producer in fine form. Title track Primal drifts along on warm pads with a fresh female spoken vocal with 6 Million Ways offering up a dancefloor roller.
The flip side sees This Beat offering up flecks of acid with Alex's trademark tight production whilst label head Enzo Siragusa and Seb Zito provide a tidy alternative take of primal to round off the ep....

Zeit gilt ja im Leben als das wertvollste Gut überhaupt. Denn sie ist begrenzt, und man kann sie mit keinem Geld der Welt kaufen. Reich sind also jene, die viel Zeit haben und auch wissen, was sie damit anfangen. Eben kein Leben nach der Stechuhr zu führen, nicht von Termin zu Termin hetzen und eben nicht das Gefühl zu haben, dass einem die Zeit permanent gestohlen, sondern - ganz im Gegenteil - geschenkt wird, auf dass man das Beste daraus mache. Und das heißt: Sich befreien vom Diktat der Uhren. Die sind für die anderen, diejenigen, die nicht kapieren, wie kostbar Zeit eigentlich ist.
EUCH DIE UHREN UNS DIE ZEIT ist also mehr als nur ein Albumtitel. Dahinter steckt eine Geisteshaltung, die den Lebensentwurf des Künstlers Dirty Doering astrein auf den Punkt bringt.
Aufgetaucht ist diese Maxime in Dirty Doerings Leben das erste Mal im Kontext der Bar25, dem legendären Berliner Club. Da war er als Resident DJ von Anfang an mit dabei. Vor neun Jahren hat er sich den Text dann in Spiegelschrift auf die Brust tätowieren lassen (man kann ihn also nur lesen, wenn man nackig mit ihm vorm Spiegel steht). Beim Closing der Bar25 im September 2010 tauchte er dann auf einem Banner wieder auf, ebenso in der Doku ´Bar25 - Tage außerhalb der Zeit ´ sowie am Ende des Videos zum Dirty-Doering-Track ´Été Pluvieux ´. Ursprünglich entliehen ist der Spruch dem 2009 erschienenen Buch ´Euch die Uhren - uns die Zeit: Straßenpunks 1999-2009 ´ von Lucja Romanowska. Wenn man das Zitat googelt, erscheint aber auch noch etwas anderes: Es ist ein in Afrika verbreitetes Sprichwort. Und da schließt sich der Kreis dann endgültig, denn unser Künstler pflegt schon seit längerem große Teile des deutschen Winters in Südafrika zu verbringen. Dort und in seiner Heimatstadt Berlin ist das Album in konzentrierter, mehrmonatiger Arbeit entstanden. Und zwar ganz bewusst als Album und nicht als eine Anhäufung von Club-Tracks, die man ansonsten auch auf 4 EPs veröffentlichen hätte können. Die Platte erzählt eine Geschichte, sie hat einen roten Faden, sie ist emotional und am Stück durchhörbar. Sie spiegelt die Vielseitigkeit im musikalischen Universum Dirty Doerings wider, und dieses besteht eben nicht nur aus einer gerade 4/4- Bassdrum, sondern auch gebrochenen Beats, Hip Hop, Jazz, Weltmusik, Gitarren, Klavier, klassischen Elemente und vielem mehr. Er überrascht uns mit Sounds, die man so aus seinen Sets nicht kennt, wie zum Beispiel die Downtempo-Stücke ´Timeless ´, ´Luisa Way ´ und ´Monday Only ´ am Anfang und Ende des Albums. Zusammen mit den clubbigeren Tracks in der Mitte des Albums wie ´Black Forest ´, ´Burning Ham ´ oder ´High Level Road ´ und dem Nu-Disco-Klopfer ´Purple Disco ´ entsteht ein Spannungsbogen, der einen unwiderstehlich in den Bann zeiht. Dabei klingt alles wie aus einem Guss - jeder Hall, jedes Delay, jeder Synthie trägt eine feste Handschrift, die Dirty Doering detailverliebt entwickelte.
Nach 20 Jahren als DJ, Produzent und KATERMUKKE-Labelchef, ist EUCH DIE UHREN UNS DIE ZEIT auch als ein künstlerisches Statement zu verstehen, als ein Sprung auf das nächste Level.
Ein Level, auf dem Uhren keine große Rolle mehr spielen. Die Zeit dafür um so mehr. Zeit, die man sich nimmt, um sie intensiv und bewusst zu nutzen. In diesem Sinne: Eine gute Zeit mit EUCH DIE UHREN UNS DIE ZEIT!

B2 'I'm Complete' marches in to close the EP with tight snares cutting into the undulating it's flow and grounded with smooth session of kicks. This postmodern production is pure energy in motion, constructed with an otherworldly soundscape and a purpose for mindful mysticism.

A contemporary story through sounds: VincentIulian’s Contempo EP.

VincentIulian stands for what a producer’s work should be all about: critical listening and innovative action. His production is focused on shaping a deep sound, a mixture of dubby and edgy minimal, crisp yet alive. The tracks are hard pin down to one genre, shifting between a groovy spread of sounds, mellow and vibrant, percussions and bass, ones that can match any time of a party, much like the chapters of a book. On side A, both tracks are quite playful, with “Fixfue” introducing the storyteller, a feminine vocal and the song get its power from the wide and warm bassline. “Sonora” presents itself through ritual-infused percussions. The track evolves constantly, with a focus on low mid drums and strong kicks. On side B, “Retras” is the calm-down-mantra of the album, with a clear sounds but pummeling bass sequences. “S-ude CV ” the melodic soft finale, has a queer-empowering and meticulous structure, one that slowly folds the story.

In the phenomenon of the wave, nature, and technology combine with great effect. For Adrian Rodd both are important, he draws the bow from the synthetic sound wave to the natural surf wave. The producer and filmmaker from Lanzarote has created the visual aspect of his debut for Cochlea Music not only in the EP title Waves, the opener Equilibrium was created directly as film music. Surrounded by ambient and trippy synth sounds, the short film about the surfer Andy Criere shows a colourful journey from blue to red, a romantic poem "Man, Sea, Earth, Fire" - churned up and set in motion by urban basses and beats.

Unlike the main track, Night in Gran Via, he follows the DJ, still vibrating from the Techno-Floor, after working all night through the main city street. From there it goes to Verbena and Taboo 3AM on a jump to the Dubstep, Lo-Fi and Trap-Parties. Adrian Rodd's music flirts not only with party goers, but also with people who arrive home late, drawing on his experience as a resident DJ in Madrid's Stardust Club, as well as the sounds and everyday life in the surfing and fishing village directly by the sea.

Cult Berlin favourite Binh heads to the Far East's finest minimal label, Cabaret, for his next outing He has been releasing here since 2014 and in that time has only subtle evolved his style. But when it ain't broke, why fix it? This EP features four more tracks of timeless house and techno for the underground connoisseurs. It is squelchy acid that defines opener "Mandarine", while "Rolli Glitzer Kurz" is more dark and paranoid as it journeys through the cosmos. "Beeboo" closes out with clunky metallic hits and detuned piano chords that make for a fresh vision of future techno.

St.Petersburg Sound System are HOAVI and TSKTCH. The two have been widely known for their solo projects, with releases ranging from every kind of genre you could only think of. No wonder that the production versatility has brought them together to collaborate and join the creative forces in studio. Instead of going after a particular sound, the duo was mainly focused on experiments with sound and improvised one-shot jams, results of which were mostly unpredictable, yet unique and unearthly.
The sound shaped by the cultural capital of Russia we could describe as a mysterious pathway between cinematic ambient and hazy atmospheric dance music. The buildings, the nature, the weather and all the surroundings are translated into the sound reflecting the musicians' connection with the city. All elements on this EP are incredibly well orchestrated and arranged.There are not so many cities that were privileged enough to be associated with a certain music genre like Chicago or Detroit, but we are more than certain that their signature sound is opening a new chapter representing the sound, the sound of Saint-P.

The Romanian label Lost Classic Records marks its debut with their first vinyl release, consisting of 4 tracks composed by: Laurent Ci, Lurre, Petit Batou and Petrutt.
The A-side starts with Laurent Ci’s Brobass, a dancefloor essential crafted with a housey, playful bass, and swingy, carefully arranged percussions. The synths triggered along the track are blending fluently with them.

The A-side continues with Lurre’s Deloc, Pe Loc, a tune for the early mornings, constructed with well chosen, reverberating drum hits and acoustic elements. Lurre’s atmospheric arrangement, with warm pads and vocals, define this track’s final savor.

The B-side begins with Petit Batou’s Surya, an elegant approach on the deep side of electronic music. Surya’s groove is well maintained throughout its whole length by everlasting floating pads and quirky, ludic synths.
The final track of this compilation, Petrutt’s 33 Solaire, composed with consistent groovy hats and acoustic percussions, presents a nostalgic sound buttoned up by its dreamy pads and nifty, constantly evolving synths.

"RICE" is the party continued over 10 years in club MAGO, Nagoya organized by Tanukeep and G, met in
Berlin. Calling authentic and trusted guests like "Zip", "Sammy Dee", "Daniel Bell", RICE will finally starting
the vinyl label. First release will be the E.P composed by Goemon, a very close friend of both Tanukeep and G,
who lives in Nagoya. Included 2 tracks are all based on the grooves made by Roland legendary drum machine
"TR-606". Kept minimal and nicely composed with HOUSE music mannered bass and synthesizer. A-side is
simple and modern but rigid minimal track which strongly appeals the groove. Deep and "in to" taste track on
B-side. Both tracks express the party image and history of RICE. Indeed, this product success to package their
party it self. RICE will be continued releasing "Floor Like" records for club oriented people, with true and pure
insistence of their own style.

2018 has been a busy year so far for Ben Rau, after completing tours worldwide, including standout shows in Australia and South America, he has also found time to launch a new label META alongside his increasingly successful INKAL imprint.

After handing over the reins for the first Meta release to promote new talent and give them a platform to thrive in the form of Rhymos' Seizure EP', Ben brings the heat for the label's second offering with his Marauder' EP.A release that stays true to Ben's dancefloor roots,whilst also displaying a techier big room sound primed for larger dancefloors. The title track Marauder' is a technically impressive affair, full of rolling percussion and expert drum programming , tension builds throughout the track via an eerie swelling synth which finally culminate in an epic break that makes use of delayed vocals before the rolling tech-houser concludes with the a groove heavy finale that let's all the elements shine.

The second track from the EP, Phoenix', is another potent dancefloor weapon , led by a pumping acid line that is complimented by ever-evolving synth stab responses.
The main break of the B-side signals the introduction of a spoken word vocal that gives Phoenix' its name , Ben delivers another stand out track providing the hooky elements which are a strong trademark of Ben's sound.

Ben Rau continues to take charge of his own destiny, and with consistently strong releases dropping on his own labels , he continues to build his ever-burgeoning reputation. Grab your copy of 'Marauder' when it is released via META.
