Since bursting onto the scene in 2017, Josh Baker (You&Me, META, See Double) has made a huge impact with a string of hugely successful releases, always focusing on quality than quantity. Our eighth release marks his debut on the label and it’s a pleasure for us to present this amazing EP, which also sees label boss Yaya back on the remix duties. Hailing from Manchester, Josh has rapidly gained the attention of lots of European enthusiasts due to his ability for crafting huge dancefloor cuts, blending the most forward thinking sound of the moment with the typical UK raw and garage approach.
Title-track ‘On The Rollover’ is an effortlessly cool and breezy house groover full of percussive elements, crafted layers of bleeps and driving drums. But it’s when the astonishing vocal kicks in that this one becomes an assured peak-time bomb that will be a main-stay in many DJ boxes right into the upcoming summer months.
This is followed by Yaya’s remix who makes of the original a percussive monster, rising the heat with pressing shakers, clean drum patterns and warm pads. Here, Yaya uses only a few parts from the original vocal, ensuring a more dancefloor-oriented and dub version with a naughty bass and warped synths.
Opening the flip side is ‘Turbo Terry’, which kicks off with a more stripped-back groove in the intro, slowly carried on by dub and charming chords, popping drums and the right dose of vintage sounds. Housy strings, old-taped vocals and a serious mind blowing wavy bassline do te rest, creating another crowd craker.
‘What’s The Name’ closes the EP in style bringing some of Josh’s UK garage roots with curious modular sounds, doubled hi-hats and a rolling fat bassline which moves up and down, locking you in into the groove while the title-track inspired vocal sample makes you wonder ‘what’s your name’.

The sixth release of the catalan label Bons Records comes signed by another kind of unknown (great) artist. We are talking about Embezzlement Society, a young producer from Belfast influenced by producers like Fast Eddie, as well as Pal Joey or Theo Parrish. In the label of Pau Roca and Gon he presents three cuts that go from the cheekiest hip-house (Haters Gon' Hate) to a classic raw-house vibe with a clear Detroit flavour (Mr. Jons & Stronger). Furthermore, one of his mentor nowadays, the french artist Fulbert (Local Talk, Foul & Sunk, Rawthencity) remixes Stronger and turns it into an exquisite techno-reinterpretation. As artists and remixers Marko Fürstenberg, Gabriel Le Mar, Frank Leicher, Quantec, Luke Hess and youANDme will light a match this year for 'DUB 2 DUST' reflecting their passion and respect for the needs of a Dub head on the floor.

The dub-feeling is clearly the inspiration behind the general flavor of the DUB2DUST-Sound and will demonstrate innovative efforts to offer interesting hybrids of techno/house music. Bondage Music reveals the latest installment in its 'Bondage Games' series this March as Sascha Dive, Frink, Toman and Philipp Gonzales deliver four original compositions for Part 5.
Launched in 2008, German imprint Bondage Music has established itself as quintessential imprint for many within the world of stripped back, high quality house music, releasing material from the likes of Mihai Popoviciu, NTFO, Markus Homm and Tuccillo across the past 12 months alone. Their 'Bondage Games' series has also become a key fixture in the calendar, and here we see the label follow up their 2018 instalment with another vinyl only EP this March, with four fresh productions from Sascha Dive, Frink, Toman and Philipp Gonzales.
Frankfurt's Sascha Dive opens the package with 'Dark Night', a slick house cut guided by deep, dubby chords and entrancing vocals, before Frink's bubbling 'Vega' ups the energy and welcomes bright melodies amongst rolling percussion. Next, emerging talent Toman fuses skipping hats and a heady low-end groove as he reveals 'Time To Time', before Philipp Gonzales combines hypnotic lead synths, refined percussion arrangements and suspenseful builds throughout 'Open Hips'.

Einzelkind returns to Infuse, this time teaming up with Simon Birkenfeld for their new project Hot City Orchestra.
The Observatory EP kicks off with Futuro, a deliciously tripped out slice of house whilst flipsides title track The Observatory ploughs a deeper furrow with warm pads imbuing the track with a subtle uplifting flavour.....

'Exit Entrance' is the DFA debut for Kohei Matsunaga aka NHK yx Koyxen.

Kohei has been making / releasing music since 1997 and has recorded for such iconic labels as Mille Plateaux, Important, Pan & Diagonal.

His latest recordings explore intricate drum programming, lush melodies & sparkling arrangements. Touchstones include the legendary 'Clicks & Cuts' compilations from the 1990's as well as Aphex Twin & Autechre. RA called his music bombastic techno funk....unpredictable but rarely disappointing'.

'Exit Entrance' is a collection of new songs that snap and flicker unlike anything Kohei has done in the past. There is a clarity and beauty to these tracks that bursts out of the speakers in a three dimensional way, matching the 3D glasses that the artist wears during all his live performances. The elegant arrangements and crisp drum breaks match the concise song titles - Kohei foregoes the typical impenetrable track names made up of numbers and shorthand, and opts for a more direct emotional sincerity through the sonic themes of the record. Not all the music here falls into the same exact formula.

As the album heads towards a close, after several tracks of harmonious beauty, we get 'Outset (for Mika Vainio)', a sombre hushed techno tune, dedicated to his late friend and musical collaborator, who unexpectedly passed away earlier this year as the record was being completed. What follows after this track is perhaps the real catharsis, as 'Dented' ominously kicks off with acidic stabs and rolls into a tumultuous dirge of gritty techno.

In this regard, 'Exit Entrance' can play out like a life cycle, a mini opera of birth and beauty, of sorrow and mourning.

It is one of the most direct and honest records Kohei has ever made, and DFA is beyond proud to present this work from such an esteemed creative force in the electronic avant-garde world of music.

Amphia 019 announces Amorf’s return on the label with the two-tracker “Ancient Future”.

The EP anchors itself on the organic juxtaposition of traditional elements, like piano bits and long-winding pads, and futuristic soundscapes. After the organic and natural-sounding debut, Denis Rodd was inspired by Greek mythology and modern cinematography for his second EP. In the opening track, the label founder of Cochlea Music grasping the Tim Burton's fantasy fairy tale Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and replaces the chocolate with acid and the beat works nicely.

The energetic density increases, in the track 'Slow' the drum machines and plug-in sounds push the vocals forward, which in any case aren't slow at all. Or is it the exact opposite Tribal magic emanates the 40s and 50s Blues in the vocal samples, a touch of African ancestral culture, jazz trumpets - the minor scales are hypnotically similar to the techno scales.

In the title track Minotaur, Denis Rodd finally transforms the bull-headed monster from the ancient legend into a hybrid with a fidgety techno skull, and body and soul made from warm Deep House. Bittersweet, melancholic and yet joyful is the captivity in Minotauros' labyrinth of BPM, melodic murmurs, small surprises and contrasting sound events.

After our successful year of showcases in the UK and Europe, to steadily building a catalogue of amazing music. We have decided to take things to the next step in our journey.

This has been a long time in the making as we wanted to make sure that this EP was perfect. And to say we are proud of it doesn't even come close.

This record showcases two artists who we have had our eyes on for over a year now, and its truly our pleasure to be showcasing them on on 110grams of pure listening pleasure!

A Side: Two Tail brings home the bacon with two absolutely stunning tracks.

First up we have Moth Plant' which is its packed with gritty bass and grooves to shake your hooves. Its a track that puffs its chest out, and for good reason.

Second track on A1 is called Somewhere Over There' and its rinsed with warm pulsating chords and haunting pads, broken rhythms and subtle flavours that round these two tracks perfectly with all that Two Tail Flavour.

B Side: Modat is his name and doof doof is his game. Debuting his first ever release with us at JJ. And we already can't wait to see what else he's got coming.

First track is called Thats Good', and ITS good, really good infact. Its a straight up late night club groover. Peppered with blips and bloops and a catch vocal sliding over the top, this ones sure to get your toes tapping.

And last but not least Modat delivers something very different to round of this record. Say What' is something new, something we haven't heard before. We really wanted this record when we heard it, and knew it was perfect for our first release on wax. This breakbeat track really does boast some lovely sounds. Inviting pads, and floating synthetic fillers throughout accompanied by massive sounding beats. Its just lovely.

2 heavy underground bombs on limited hand stamped wax...

Livio & Roby flip the switch on Uvar's latest enstallment. "Moons" EP starts off with "Cascada de EV", a moody limelight cut for the early evenings. "The Game" skips along cheerfully with a groovy little bassline and quirky melodies. It all ends with the title holder "Moons" and it's little brother, "Reductie" with spaced out dub spirals, vibrant harmonies and saturated acid grooves for peaktime effect. Berlin producer and DJ Marc Brauner, half of the Traffic Report duo, signs his first vinyl on Houseum Records with a new and more intimate EP, titled 'Sad But Ambitious'. The German delivers his introspective release with 5 tracks whose musical universe fluctuates between classic House, Breakbeat and Deep House. With this catchy title 'Sad But Ambitious', the EP succeeds in transmitting the musical sensibility of the producer.

We start with ‘He Said It’, a sample based Classic House track featuring warm pads, a pumping sub bassline, straight forward drums and a melody driven arrangement. It is meant as a tribute track to Clyde Stubblefield the former drummer of James Brown.

'Reach for You' is an emotional moody House track. It comes with a rolling drum pattern with moody pad sounds and a straight forward acid line finished off with some vocal chops on top. The track has a darker, more melancholic vibe than A1 but is still a dance floor ready tool. The kick drum is used in a different way to create a Breakbeat'ish African touch.

The title track of the EP has its name to mark a time in Marc Brauner's life where he felt sad about his life and work situation but still was ambitious enough to keep working on the tracks that are finally getting their release now. It comes with a nostalgic charm invoked by rising pads and classic drums combined with a deep bassline and a tear drop bell melody. It's a melancholic track, which you can both dance and cry too.

The last track of the vinyl ‘In a Dream’ is a House & Breaks piece. It consists of heavenly pads, a driving bassline, tight drums and a dreamy melody.

This Breakbeat mood brings power and energy to the melancholic piece while remaining hopeful & uplifting at the same time.

This EP promises a beautiful trip between melancholy sadness and optimism.

Plate number two from LIITHELI steps up the game with N1MA "Ajam EP"
The word "ajam" in Estonian stands for "drive", as in "electric drive".

The title track - Ajam is a high-pressure techno jam with a buzzing atmosphere thrusting through a tunnel of sound. It's a cut from many a live recordings from the Ravi Workshops in Tallinn.

This one was recorded during a much needed break from writing music for a documentary film - A jam to clear the head.

Easing the pressure to bring softness on the flip side is Construction Business - an unregulated situational soundscape of random events.

A very live recording of the process of building the Ravi Workshops in Tallinn. Drum machines, (modular) synths, sequencers and laptops hooked up to a mixing desk and monitor speakers in a 50m2 concrete room, a portable recorder placed in the same space.

People bustling around with construction tools in their hands, at times passing the sound setup and spontaneously twisting knobs, pushing faders.

No-one knows the score is being recorded.

If this is not freaking you out, the "Freak Wave" will do, breaking over your head that crashes you on the deepest underground as possible. Music collective, concept and podcast series OsloGround sets out on their first flight as a label, starting out with their own A:G and his fittingly named Metamorphosis EP.
Where two different parts of the journey's title deliver floating and mind lifting atmospheres built on a firm layer of broken beats and sub vibrations, and the flipside delivers more of a dub inspired minimal house groover with foot feeding bass and juno sweeps for those 5AM moments, this EP is made with love for the dancefloor in mind.

After the first release, Variete continues with an ep from Drea, including a remix by Viktor Udvari and Khristian K.

On the A side, Swiss based artist Drea delivers an eleven minute journey into dreamy melodies and bouncing drums named forward, that definitely will make you move your body.

On the B side, the Hungarian artists Viktor Udvari and Khristian K teamed up  and created a wonderful grooving more dancefloor oriented interpretation of The A side. 

Besides the remix on the B side, Drea rounds up the release with a floating forward going track called the Seed wich showed it's dancefloor capability more then once.

The release enjoys support from artists as tini , Barac , Nu Zau , Tulbure , Amir Javasoul and Counrad.

Not unlike the first chapter, Workparty 2 mirrors the status quo within the Keinemusik camp.

Sedee Joins The Barcelona Based Label What.if With gravedigger Ep" - Two Bomb Tracks Vinyl That Promise To Get Locked In Your Head, With His Groovy Infectious Voice Melody And The Crazy (old Pantytec Style) Basslines Rhythms.

The 5th instalment of 4Plae's Blanc range sees label head ADMNTi partner up with label family member Casey Spillman, bringing two tracks with accompanying remixes.


‘0207’ opens up the EP with bags of bounce, accompanied by skewed chord stabs and underlying layers of glitchy vocals and effects. Casey’s A-Side contribution entitled ‘Juice Appeal’ boasts flares of garage as well as a nod to the UK’s jungle scene of the 90’s through the evolution of its rolling bassline.

Meanwhile, the flip side is dedicated to the remixes, kicking off with Spillman’s take on ‘0207’ which injects a more rowdy and raw energy into the original. ADMNTi’s rework depicts a more mellow yet steppy feel to ‘Juice Appeal’.

Kicking off 2018 with the most anticipated release on u.dig so far by the newest addition to the family, Alexis Cabrera. Trippy minimal house journey at its best.

Ingi Visions strikes again! After their previous 'Get Slapped EP' it was time for some new heat. Blood brothers Samuel Deep and Julian Alexander known for their energetic style came up with four heavy club tunes ready for the dance floor. These tracks were played all summer and they always passed the test. Truly special illustrations by Firpo a.k.a Freschcore which symbolise two condors (two brothers) and their vision of a creature who's doing everything straight from his heart. For the fifth instalment on their label the VBX crew taps frontman Ferro once more. His 'I Change, Just Like You' EP is a self proclaimed artistic statement from the man, who's rising star shows no signs of slowing down.

The name Endresonic - the A side of this two tracker - subtly references the Norwegian vocalist, who's haunting voice lends the percussion heavy and uplifting track a visceral quality. It's the type of track that you will be humming the day after you heard it being played out by your favourite DJ, wondering what it could be.

Dark Revelations on the flip feels almost like the Mr Hyde to Endresonic's Dr Jekyll. Countless heady modulating soundscapes, gurgling bleeps and blobs, subtle percussive elements and an eerie voice - with Ferro's signature groove as the backbone holding it all together - ensure a trippy, almost cerebral, listening experience. 'I Change, Just Like You' provides the listener with an aural glimpse into the multidimensional universe of sounds that Ferro calls home.

Time Passages boss Binh is a big fan of Innershades. Last year he brought the Belgian producer to the label for the very first time and here offers up another four tracks from the rave-loving rising star. He hits the ground running with "It's Time", a warehouse-ready throb-job full of new beat riffs and creepy electronics, before offering up another funky Euro techno cut that sounds like it could have been played at an after-party in 1990 ("Forum"). Elsewhere, "Euphoria In Ginza" is a deliciously chiming and melodious breakbeat-house workout, while "No Romantic" is another retro-futurist romp full of squelchy synth bass and rushing, turn-of-the-90s style nostalgic riffs

On the remix duties we have Argentinian raising talent Gabriel Gorostidi aka ‘Londonground’ giving ‘GUM’ a more mysterious tweak. For the second remix Federico Morton and Marco Donato aka ‘Italoboys’ need no introduction. The UK based duo give ‘GUM’ a more ‘darktech’ approach with scattered percussions, dope vocals and big room pads. Che bravi, exquisite!

To wrap up the pack, label heads Max Alzamora and Fernando Vidal aka ‘Nuclius’ better known together in Lima’s underground scene as the duo ‘NUMAX’ build a more laid-back deep minimal re-shape. Pick your poison and set your spell on the ‘dancefloor’.

Back in 2018, Lumière Noire celebrated its first anniversary with a compilation featuring thirteen exclusive tracks by an eclectic group of electronic musicians – a family portrait of sorts. A few months later, a second volume of From Above, compiled by the label's artistic director (and DJ) Chloé, once more brings thirteen established acts together with promising upstarts. The first compilation was the embodiment of the label policy advocating for both artistic excellence and a widening of electronic aesthetics – bopping from deviant house music to adventurous IDM and to the rigor of dancefloor techno, among other electronic explorations. Some of the artists featured are now closely associated with Lumière Noire, while others were more established performers such as Benedikt Frey, Lauer, Jonathan Fitoussi, Il Est Vilaine, Dave e Brun (half of Swayzak) and Frank Agrario, as well as upcoming artists such as C O N T R A (a side project by none other than Iñigo Vontier), Sutja Gutierrez, Théo Muller, Markus Gibb, Bajram Bili, and a sprinkling of UFOs circling the genre (Suuns' Ben Shemie, Drvg Cvltvre, and electro-acoustic combo Lumi). This group photo laid down a number of paths for a label in perpetual evolution.

Since then, the Parisian entity has continued to grow within the international electronic scene, releasing Local Suicide's Leopard Gum EP, Iñigo Vontier's first LP, and planning another slew of releases for 2020. The lineup for this second volume of From Above is once again equally intriguing, offering a crescendo-like track listing over a double LP format, which is a feat of sorts for a "Various Artists" compilation.

Marc Mélias' fascinating, unsettling Permanent Waves gets the proceedings going with a contemplative track that provides a serene opening to the odyssey on which From Above will be taking the listener. Pletnev continues on with the playful, hooky Marco O’Polo, a fundamentally techno track built over a seductive 90s-inspired breakbeat. Douglas Greed (whom Chloé remixed on BPitch a few years back, and had himself remixed track from her album Endless Revisions featuring Ben Shemie’s vocals), supplies Vancouver, a slice of ambiance à la Boards of Canada, supported by a gripping breakbeat. The rhythmic arpeggio of Israeli producer's Middle Sky Bloom makes his contribution a hypnotic, disconcerting slice of dark disco. Thomass Jackson, a safe bet in the new wave of the Latin-American electronic music blowing its sometimes hot, sometimes cold wind, proposes Mithra, a dancefloor incantation to the Antiquity's bull god. With Bells, Goldmoon delivers a track that is both melodic and nostalgic, tinged with rhythmic samples, Moog basses and solar backgrounds. Longtime friend of Chloé, Krikor, who has released two albums on L.I.E.S. Records (Pacific Alley and Saudi), offers a moment of respite with Sally Hardesty (a nod to fans of horror movies), a heavenly and bewitching track that, paradoxically, hints at the highly energetic second half of the compilation. Discovered with Confidences EP released on Lumière Noire, the young French producer Morgan Blanc asserts himself here with Werde Der Du Bist ("Become who you are"), a song with luminous chords and midtempo rhythms to start the second half of the compilation by raising the tension. Galician producer, DJ and designer Cora Novoa continues the rollercoaster's ascent with her Virtual Aesthetics, which once again brings those acid tones – this time without the vertigo. Equally corrosive, but tenser and more percussive, the uncategorizable NSDOS' AL-G attempts to give order to a chaotic electronic world full of violence and danger. Rebeka Warrior (half of the duo Kompromat alongside compatriot Vitalic), takes on a more nostalgic vibe with Ich Komme Zurück, a French/German techno chant evoking a secret dream of a track from a bygone era. Three years after the release by Lumière Noire of Moderna and Theus Mago's stroboscopic Dog Is Calling You, Theus Mago makes a solo comeback with Idealistic Stone, a most acid of club tracks, rattled by the modulations of the inevitable TB 303. French electro-rock saltwarth Yan Wagner's dancefloor alter ego The Populists' Prehistoric Lemurs gives an almost Orientalizing twist to Kraftwerk's techno-pop. To close things off, the collection's last track, the appropriately-named Instant Track by impromptu encounter between Hervé Carvalho (Acid Arab), Jacques Bon (Smallville) and Demian (Kompakt) Acid Love Triangle, releases the pressure with a long, bittersweet reverie that leaves the listener, at the end of these thirteen musical adventures, to rest languorously on an artificial and welcoming shore.

Incoming…! 2019 ends with a bang as we unveil the second release from tINI’s Part Of The Gang record label. An extension of her tINI And The Gang parties, which were conceived in Ibiza, the label will act as a home for music from tINI’s close circle of friends and collaborators. On this second release we have one of the Gang’s long standing members, Bodeler. The eclectic Argetinian has been spinning at tINI’s parties for a while now, so it makes sense to have him on board. Across three track he demonstrates his penchant for nuanced dancefloor weaponry, making this a must-have EP. Ricardo Villalobos has been supporting ‘Ridrum’ in his sets, so you know this is a special one… Kicking things off it’s ‘Ridrum’, a pumping cut driven by organic-sounding percussion spliced with crisp 4x4 drum programming. The bass is hypnotic, pulsating in tandem with the beats to create a scintillating track - when the vocal calls out “Radio”, the dancefloor goes crazy.
On ‘Bom Gates’ Bodeler incorporates a repeated vocal clip to cultivate a mesmerising atmosphere. After a short breakdown, another vocal sample joins the fray alongside a deadly b-line and sharp, sturdy claps. Lastly, ‘Klepex’ gives us a heady ride into unexplored terrains. The low end groans with a low slung groove, while gentle pads add a touch of mystique. It’s a masterful combination of contrasting layers, closing the EP in style.

Conviction is the word to describe side B, with an awesome thick synth coming in the middle of everything that definitely characterise and particularise a lot the track.
