We have finally come to the second release of Abstrakt Minded Records. After a small period of wait, and the good success of the Herck’s remix in AMR001, the owners Friedrich Becker and Sabèr have found the right artist to propose for the new release.

Denis Kaznacheev, the owner of Nervmusic itself, seemed like the best move at this time.

With his eclectic sound he proved to be one of the best producer in the underground scene during the last years, showing technical skills that are uncommon and definitely have the power of knowing how to treat the crowd during playing.

AMR002 contains two originals, side A and side B.

Kaznacheev received total freedom in doing what he can do at his best, this is the reason why he had the possibility to spread his technical skills throughout these two long compositions, which are long enough to tell a story.

Both tracks are based on a live arrangement that gives the sense of change at every beat, and a constant moving groove.

The first track (side A) is a 14 minutes journey, starting with a sort of intro where the mysterious vocal introduces one sound at time.

Textures give life to the track, and the groovy bass is the leading part of this.

Everything is framed in a minimalistic drum pattern in a straight 4/4 rhythm, that gives a sense of hypnosis throughout the whole composition.

The second half of the track is where magic happens, and from a dark clubby sound, we get into a more floating and trippy vibe, with a melodic sound that will take you to the next level of emotions.

The second track (side B), like the first one, is such long but definitely has a slightly different vibe and feeling.
Is the perfect contemporary minimal show off. This is what listeners definitely want to hear in a club.

At this time, the rhythm is the leading part, every short and minimal percussion has a sort of swing that creates a groove that gives goosebumps. The always changing drums is what makes the track moving for 15 minutes, they never stop and they are filled with
great FXs.

In this composition the melodic part is not the principal element, however we enjoy the listening of this combination of dark stabs and glitchy sounds that put a big smile on your face, for sure.

Ander B's music is increasingly abstract, profound and packed with rhythmic trances.

The sounds he creates are based on classic house, which he melds with thick layers of Detroit and Chicago House. 'The Black Sun' is his second 12" for Czech label Beef Records, following the Delano Smith + Petre Inspirescu supported 'Outta Space' EP in 2016.

Rush Hour announces their second artist compilation Patchwork, curated by one of the label’s most loved family members, Sassy J. The Swiss DJ is the very embodiment of passion and long-standing dedication to the craft of the DJing, but also to the community surrounding the music that she lives and breathes. For the past fourteen years Sassy J has run the Patchwork night in her native Bern and in London, with guests ranging from Theo Parrish and Little Dragon to Floating Points and MF Doom invited to share their respective musical visions. Her collaborative approach stands out in a DJ world that is too often weighted in favour of promoting the individual. This compilation grows out that unique sensitivity, foregrounding a theory of curation that centres on long-term bonds, articulated through Sassy J’s personal relationships with the contributing artists.

Patchwork speaks to the grass roots values that Sassy J espouses, showcasing music by many of the artists that have joined her throughout the years in clubs, on the radio, and at home. It is an expression of Sassy J’s individual musical path that casts its gaze firmly in the future: Patchwork is made up almost entirely of new and unreleased songs that are exclusive to this collection. Patchwork captures a sound that has continued to evolve in its restless search for new musical directions. Across thirteen tracks we find forward thinking electronic music rubbing elbows with cosmic jazz and deep percussion workouts from Brazil and beyond.

There are irresistible calls to the dancefloor: 2000 Black’s UK boogie and the syncopated rhythms of WaH-chU-kU nod to the West London sound, whilst the early rave of Nu Era and Aardvarck’s sub-rattling techno channel the grittier edges of the club experience. We find machine music imbued with humanity in Larry Heard’s deep house classic “Survivor” and in Ron Trent’s WARM project, whose gentle breeze points to a different side of the legendary producer. Patchwork also opens a more immersive listening space in which the radical indie soul of Georgia Anne Muldrow, the ambient spiritual jazz of bandleader Carlos Niño & Friends, and the lament for the Amazon rainforest by Azymuth’s drummer Ivan Conti can channel the overall spirit of group interplay and solidarity. Patchwork also includes Sassy J’s collaboration with veteran producer Alex Attias, marking her own place in a universe that is held together by her singular thread.

Mandar are back on Oscillat Music following their stunning five-disc LP from last year, and the deep house super group are sounding as vital as ever. "String Theory" holds court over the A-side and promises to be the soundtrack to many a heart-stirring moment under starry skies this summer. Ghent's Muzi Cartel crew step into the label game with this assured four tracker from promising emergent talents. Viktor Udvari is up first with "For Our Love", a fired up but delicately executed techno jam with plenty of harmonic balance to make for the most satisfying trip skywards. Mrsch takes things deeper and groovier on "Pas Cu Pas", leaning heavy on the bass and leaving a little more space in the mix for maximum meditation. Kled Baken's remix of Lebawski gets into a minimal house roll with spaced out licks of vocal and hazy pads, and Ray Mono nudges Barbosa's "Quinoa" into murky depths for a proper underground roller.

Presence steps in with its first EP: ALSI - Right There

The release, signed by Limpid and Einzig under the ALSI collaboration, presents itself with a thick atmosphere, a canvas for the colorful house & techno accents spread across Side A. On one hand you'll find yourself on a cosmic pursuit, when listening to Right There: each kick is meticulously carved to awaken the very gut feeling that you're on the right path. On the other hand, Locked will subtly throw you deep into a psychedelic fairytale, with fragments of strings bouncing against weird sonic shapes.
Cristi Cons & Vlad Caia aka SIT push the journey further with their sci-fi electro reinterpretation for Right There, that kind of cut that creates deja vu moments on the dance floor.

Hey boys and girls,

after a year with long nights and days sitting in the studio and shaking our bodies off, we expand our repertoire of tracks. So please understand why it took a year for the second life sign. Fasten your seatbelt and lean back and check out the sounds of birds we captured somewhere in the Canadian forest of Offenbach. Also we found Jacky upon a famous hill and took her with us in the studio. The third in a row is dedicated to a big musical influence of us.
Enjoy it, have fun and watch out! The next two releases are already in the starting block.
Cheerio

Amadeo Savio is next up on Vigenere, the label that has thus far presented a whole host of unknown names in the field of minimal techno all bound together by a shared classiness in their production style. Savio's approach is deep and dubby on opening cut "Isolat", one primed for the after hours. "Trance Later" has a slightly more forthright approach, but there's still plenty of mellow delights to be found in the synth department to keep you chilling. "Encor" heads into more typically minimal pastures, while "Kassion" explores broken beat patterns and fragmented samples with scintillating results.

Borneo Records welcomes Swedish made, Berlin based DJ City to the family!

As a fairly fresh face to the European dance music scene, involved with renowned musical outlets like Cocktail d’Amore and Born Free, DJ City has been turning heads with his playful and energetic style.

For Borneo’s ninth release DJ City delivers two deep dance floor cuts, referencing and paying hommage to his childhood idols, craftily combining well known building blocks into future classics.

”Sierra Madre” is a warm and deep dive into the aesthetics of the late 90s electronic music scene, balancing between lush pads and low bit rates. Steadily it progresses as the loops unfold and evolve into an ambient landscape of clear peaks and valleys. Dreamy and suggestive without becoming too literal or camp, it invites its listener to let the mind wander during the course of the dance.

On the flip side, “5426261” is a more playful feature as its percussion and somewhat off tune melodies roll out. The texture is light and invites its listener to venture in thought to an imaginary Mediterranean location right before dawn. The enigmatic title is repeated in a sample towards the end, implicating it is a phone number. Who are you trying to reach?

After its first three releases, July Z imprint presents its fourth release

Moon Harbour is delighted to announce the Autumn 2016 release of Momentum, the second full length album
from label boss Matthias Tanzmann. Arriving eight years after his debut LP Restless, the outstanding follow-up
impressively demonstrates that his artistic restlessness has not been decreasing over the last couple of years.
On the contrary, Momentum undoubtedly proves once more that Matthias' impact on the scene is still steadily
growing with an end not in sight and that his efforts to advance are ever moving forward.
Recent times have found Matthias having huge success via fruitful collaborations with the likes of Martin
Buttrich, Davide Squillace and Daniel Stefanik, amongst others, but now back on his own and more energetic
than ever, he is firing on all cylinders as a solo artist. Loosely rooted in a variety of house styles, Momentum
shows a subtle return to some of Tanzmann's earliest musical roots. Just as Matthias declares himself, It is stuff
to listen to at home, stuff I like to listen to away from the club', before adding that, of course, it also contains
tracks that are 100% what I love playing in my DJ sets.'
The ten track release is an impulsive and emotionally moving affair that offers a fantastic snapshot into the
current musical mind of the artist. With a process initially starting during his times abroad in Thailand and South
America, this most coherent and complete album has been slowly coming together over the last five years. In
customary manner, the album is quite different to a normal EP from the German producer, given that it features
plenty of deeper and more cerebral moments than most of his past works.
With a perfect mixture between listening pleasure and pure dancefloor material, Momentum contains tracks
ranging from deep and broody house style with warm pads streaming over infectious drums to serene and
atmospheric jams with real funk in their bones. Next to more downtempo sultry house vibes, the harder, more
freaky tunes will get floors bumping with their punchy drums, wiggling synths, drilling bass and loopy vocal
sounds. With more soul infused party grooves rounding up the experience, the release truly brings along the
whole range of carefully plotted ups and downs necessary for casting the listener under a hypnotic and heartfelt
spell of house music.

The album will be celebrated with a worldwide release tour from October to December 2016, highlighting once
more that only a few have the exact same sense of electronic music artistry as this man does.

Krad with his third album brings us two original tracks of Hernan Bass, composed under catchy rhythms that go from the microhouse to the minimal deep tech, also using female voices from Italy in one of the tracks or deep sounds in the other:
But the album does not end here, two strong remixes appear, one by Manuel de Lorenzi, which adapted its version to a stronger groove for the dancefloor, whereas Basti Grub made its version more delicate and refined, which can even be adapted to the dance floor pretty good.

iO (Mulen) lands on Drumma Records for release number 021, the Ukrainian producer displays all his powerful talent on two tracks specially made for the label, showing his originality and craftmanship.

A1 Turboss is a powerful club tool for peak time, minimal acid flashes and a tireless march makes this track a transverse pump of steady energy for any dance floor.

B1 Forceful is a special cheerful mood track that delivers fresh air within the set, always in his personal style, he explores the deep flows of house music with a jazzy mood and an abundance of syncopation. It’s an excellent b-side to this ep with two special gems for the underground dancefloors.

Leftback return for release number 18 with a full EP from the rising star Miller, resident for Zoo Project in Ibiza and his own “Real Gang” brand hosting events at Bret in Amsterdam and Underground Ibiza he is one to watch for 2020. “Don’t Turn Around” features four solid tracks all with an undeniable Leftback groove and production. A1 see’s a subtle vocal sample carry the track over the rhythm of the drums and percussion providing a versatile track that can work for peak time, early hours or as use as a mixing tool. The apetaly named “Stripped Back” completes the A side with its low slung mood picking up pace after the breakdown. The B side opens with another strong peak time track that’s been doing the rounds on dancefloors such as DC10 and VBX with it’s clicky texture and ever changing percussion modulating creating the tracks depth from start to finish. To finish off the EP “Atsuen” provides a slightly different groove in the form of a breakbeat with distinct electronic blasts from hardware synths and samplers

Acmé means "the highest peak or state" and definitely in this release you can't get any higher.

We haven't heard from Acmé since March 2018 with the highly successful Acmé 006 inc. LIZZ, Vincentlulian and Alex Font.
This period was a year and a half of deep silence but without doubt they are coming stronger, fuller and with more diversity.

Here you can find four top notch remixes from highly respected producers and scene leaders who stamped their sound signature into the Acmé universe, also a bonus track from Acmé CEO Alex Font that has already been supported and played by minimalist maestros like Ricardo Villalobos and Rhadoo.

After in 2018 he released his debut vinyl-only EP on Vivus alongside Silat Beksi, it was due time for Daniel Broesecke to take things into his own hands and he does just that with his first solo effort, backed by a very strong Vlad Arapasu remix.

We kick things off with the title track some heavy bass lines that will grab your attention instantly. As the track goes on, layer after layer is added and the result is a very smooth journey seasoned with an exquisite vocal deep in the background.

Next up we have Lockdown and here Daniel is a little more playful. You can feel it from the beginning, with some distinguishing percussions and idiosyncratic noises that give you a sense of urgency. As the minutes go by, a dark and enigmatic background noise is added and it call comes wonderfully together.

The curtain-closer is Vlad Arapasu’s interpertation of Fusion and it is an charming and meticulous effort by the Romanian producer. This is a whole different story with a complete different but all the same amazing bass line. Vlad Arapasu has managed to keep what made the original such a lovely track and add a misty layer over it, making it somehow more dark but also something that gets your feet going at the same time.

London tech-house stalwart Asad Rizvi continues the remarkable run of his Silverlining Dubs series with this, the 5th instalment, Silverlining V. The release delves into the vaults with a re-release of his 1998 smash Breezin' Thru for A side and then Asad gives his own take on another past anthem in Doodlebug's 'Loose In Your Mind' on the flip. Big tip!

London based House label Inermu brings the sixth in their Vinyl Only series in the form of this 3 track remix VA. Including remixes from James Dexter, Chris Stussy and Toman.

The On Board Music imprint returns with its third release this October, a five- track various artist package featuring material from Lanoche, Yugen, Serena Butler, Estrato Aurora and Vera Logdanidi.

Laura BCR’s On Board Music delivers its third release here, following two mini LP projects from Healing Force Project and Mesak. The ‘Point A’ project marks the beginning of a series of VA’s coming on the imprint focusing on both established and up and coming talents from different origins, stylistically ranging from ambient to techno and all meeting together on the dance floor. French painter Natacha Mankowski provided the artwork once again, and mastering was taken care of by Carsten Dämbkes.

Taking the lead is Lanoche’s ‘Love Fall’, an ethereal opener fuelled by hypnotic pads, wandering bass tones and heavily reverberated, shuffled percussion before Yugen’s ‘Phantom’ lays focus on pulsating arpeggios, choppy bass stabs and swirling atmospherics. Serena Butler’s ‘Fertile Fancy’ follows next, a cinematic four minute ambient cut employing subtly nuanced pads and bright voice like tones throughout.

Estrato Aurora’s ‘Icnita’ opens the flips side with murky, oscillating bass tones, gritty, off-kilter drums and an ever-present underlying tension before Vera Logdanini’s ‘VPlanet’ rounds out the package perfectly, delivering a reduced Techno cut fuelled by cavernous atmospherics, arpeggio bleeps and swirling low-end pulses.

Rush Hour announces their second artist compilation Patchwork, curated by one of the label’s most loved family members, Sassy J. The Swiss DJ is the very embodiment of passion and long-standing dedication to the craft of the DJing, but also to the community surrounding the music that she lives and breathes. For the past fourteen years Sassy J has run the Patchwork night in her native Bern and in London, with guests ranging from Theo Parrish and Little Dragon to Floating Points and MF Doom invited to share their respective musical visions. Her collaborative approach stands out in a DJ world that is too often weighted in favour of promoting the individual. This compilation grows out that unique sensitivity, foregrounding a theory of curation that centres on long-term bonds, articulated through Sassy J’s personal relationships with the contributing artists.

Patchwork speaks to the grass roots values that Sassy J espouses, showcasing music by many of the artists that have joined her throughout the years in clubs, on the radio, and at home. It is an expression of Sassy J’s individual musical path that casts its gaze firmly in the future: Patchwork is made up almost entirely of new and unreleased songs that are exclusive to this collection. Patchwork captures a sound that has continued to evolve in its restless search for new musical directions. Across thirteen tracks we find forward thinking electronic music rubbing elbows with cosmic jazz and deep percussion workouts from Brazil and beyond.

There are irresistible calls to the dancefloor: 2000 Black’s UK boogie and the syncopated rhythms of WaH-chU-kU nod to the West London sound, whilst the early rave of Nu Era and Aardvarck’s sub-rattling techno channel the grittier edges of the club experience. We find machine music imbued with humanity in Larry Heard’s deep house classic “Survivor” and in Ron Trent’s WARM project, whose gentle breeze points to a different side of the legendary producer. Patchwork also opens a more immersive listening space in which the radical indie soul of Georgia Anne Muldrow, the ambient spiritual jazz of bandleader Carlos Niño & Friends, and the lament for the Amazon rainforest by Azymuth’s drummer Ivan Conti can channel the overall spirit of group interplay and solidarity. Patchwork also includes Sassy J’s collaboration with veteran producer Alex Attias, marking her own place in a universe that is held together by her singular thread.

The Italian writer Italo Calvino described melancholy as "sadness that has taken on lightness", an idea that perfectly encapsulates the emotional pull and insatiable drive of top notch melodic techno. "Holocene" by Apir & Justin Marchacos is just that, an electronic soundscape of epic proportions, built for a huge soundsystem and best experienced under cover of a warm, balmy summer night. Executed with poise, precision and restraint, this expanding mosaic of sound has a classy musical sensibility at it's heart in the form of a haunting piano part. While the rolling beats, morphing hook lines and seductive breakdowns take the listener to the brink but never let go.

Keeping that in mind, it's no surprise to find out that Apir is actually the alter ego of Tim Green whose decade long relationship with Cocoon Recordings culminated with last year's acclaimed "Her Future Ghost" LP. Here, together with New York freshman Justin Marchacos, he continues this rich vein of form onto the flip side as we're invited on another deep space exploration in the form of "The Fifth".

A warm, percolating, arpeggiated bass line acts as the driving force on this stripped down excursion, while gentle automation lends a crackling neon glow to proceedings. It's a slow burning affair that peaks as gleaming hi hats slice through the darkness to reveal another mystical riff, danciüng and flickering in the twilight.

Human Capital EP is the second release of the Barcelona-based label Kommuna. The A-side reveals a well-crafted breakbeat piece by emerging Catalan artist Artes while CMYK brings us a slower paced, dreamy track infused with gated vocals. The B-side focuses on the dancefloor with the addictive wiggly beats of Crump’s Model Response while Pekkuliar and Driahn bring a shuffling housey groove. Track by track, we build a Kommuna of well-established artists but also unknown studio dwellers who share our fixation for music discovery without following any trends or limitations.

To explain the project briefly, this is a vinyl only label, the first EP has an original track by Martinez on the A side, which then Tobias. is remixing on the B side. The project will continue like that on the next 12" where another artist will be remixing Tobias remix... and so it continues.The records won't be catalogued by numbers, but by letters, as they are more of a series all together. In other words there is only one original track, which is the A side of the first 'Changing Pieces' 12" and the rest are remixes.

'Pulse Code EP' by Amberflame - Andrei Zakharov's (aka An-2) side project aimed at finding the right balance between organic yet experimental sound - is a selection of top-notch electronica with the flair of old-school disco and everything inbetween. The crafty and meticulous use of a variety of custom analogue hardware give way to keeping an open mind with production and sound design, which varies greatly, but at the same time, shares a coherent quality throughout the EP.

The opening track "Hope" sets the mood with its melancholic airy strings and pulsating arpeggios developing effortlessly until the groovy guitar bass kicks in lighting things up and giving the mix a completely new perspective.

Taking a more experimental edge 'Pulse Code' is a PCM-inspired leftfield electronica piece which goes a new direction with its solid synthwork and fluent drum programming.

The title of the closing cut 'Dreamscape' speaks for itself: it is a meditative electro-focused affair

A key player in the New York scene and boss of her own Dusk & Haze label, it was Francis Harris' Kingdoms that initially released Sophie Saze's standout two-part album, and that is where this forward looking package of highly original remixes lands. First up is German artist Roman Flügel, who’s responsible for a myriad of musical aliases and just as many different sounds. Here he is in experimental electronic mode and reworks 'Cure' into an elongated groove with twisted synth lines layering up over the shimmer, shadowy beats. It's a ghoulish track with a creepy atmosphere.
Swede Anthony Linell makes tripped out, heady techno on Northern Electronics, always with a stylish aesthetic. That continues here as he reimagines 'Aliens' as an absorbing cosmic soundtrack. Supple, rubbery drums bubble down low while broad pads and astral motifs colour the airways above and sink you into a state of trance. New York beat maker and Blueberry Records boss FaltyDL then steps up with a remix of 'Self'. It is a typically off-kilter groove that seems to float on post-jungle drums while distant synth details make for a dreamy atmosphere. Closing out this killer package is Saze's original track 'Dreams', an intense techno cut where coarse textures peel off the industrial clatter of the drums.

Acclaimed imprint Disco Halal reveals their 1st 2019 release with Moscoman & The Organism collaborating on the 'Rite EP2 due Feb 8th! The project includes the titled track as well as the atmospheric blisters of 'Chumbai' and ercussive textures of 'Rubab', a track steeped in the Middle Eastern sonic influences of Moscoman's home country of Israel. Flipping the leading track on its head, the Disco Halal remix of 'Rite' is turned into a loopy, hypnotic edit suited for the oddballs. The EP follows Moscoman's recent remix of Three Drives On A Vinyl's classic anthem 'Greece 2000'. With truth at its center, the sound of 'Rite' RP is an open-ended prospect; a shared vision which Moscoman rounds off with his own Disco Halal mix of the opening production.
