For its second installment, Tresydos presents ‘Description’, a selective, four track EP from US producer Matt Anderson. Normally working and releasing on the label Wex, he has shared with us a unique EP, a dive into the flavors and varied tastes he is inspired by.

Leading off on A1 is the title track ‘Description’. With an emotive melody & pushing jungle bass, this tune is a mixed and mangled, psy-hypnotic, peak time bouncer. A2 follows with ‘Small Talk’, which holds a smooth and liquidy touch, sprinkled with notes of jazzy bends & spacey arpeggios. On the flip side for B1 is ‘Gangsta.vox’, a playful tune, varied between a 4/4, acidic zooming, & airy, euphoric breaks. Last up is ‘Inside A Neutron Star’, a chugger that offers an acidic, yet smooth psychedelic theme to carry you on.

THE HAUNTED CABARET may be the highlight of the release, out of nowhere this piece of music has already proved its efficiency on many dancefloors over Europe. Careful with it, it can make damages.. Like every story this one has a dark side. More rave oriented with breaks and trance influences, THE GATES OF HELL finds its perfect place on B2. Made for big floors.

2018 has a lot in store for London spiritual jazz outfit Emanative, with a full double LP and several remixes forthcoming, as well as some full live band appearances and DJ gigs. 'Planet B' is the band's first release of the year and it takes them in a slightly different direction, on a completely different vibration entirely, with an epic nine minute, almost post punk, afrobeat, disco and jazz inspired piece aimed at the leftfield dancefloor. The idea for this project grew from our interest in releasing the live version of the Ahmed Abdullah-written 'Lions Of Judah' (Steve Reid & The Legendary Master Brotherhood) , which appears on the B-side and was recorded live at London's famous Cafe´ OTO, an institution for experimental live music and free jazz. The version has become a Gilles Peterson favourite and a regular on his 6Music and Worldwide FM shows. Nick Woodmansey, the head of the group, wanted to include an original piece as well and so went in the studio with the band and a clear concept for recording 'Planet B'. Inspired originally by a Greenpeace poster and advert of the same name, as well as current adverse planetary situations. Musically it follows the spirit of Arthur Russell's leftfield disco of Dinosaur L project, no wave band ESG, and Sun Ra.

This is a long overdue collaboration and we couldn't be more excited to present a brand new EP from our man, Jena's mad scientist funk freak himself, Metaboman. A stalwart veteran of the legendary Musik Krause camp, which has been a kindred spiritual sister label of sorts of ours since the millennium-turn heydays, being fellow purveyors of bold and raw dance floor music, still brimming with new ideas galore and bucket loads of soul. Here with the Wireless Dancer EP we have Metaboman in top form offering nothing less than his finest work: 'Doppeldenk' starts things off with some classic Krause bump that brings to mind the heights of the Duo at their peak but updated, like an STL banger turned up to 11 with sinewy melodic lines and that special Thuringen twist. 'Hanno' follows up with a guest spot by jazz saxophone master Thomas Prestin, and guarantees to bring down the house with a storm of swinging stabs, rough riffs, and fresh-as-it-gets drum work. On the flip, 'Splitit' does exactly that, whether referring to wigs, legs, or that last drink ticket - where dusty blues vox chops and a rolling percussive smack down will revive any fading floor faces. And finally, 'EchterG' rounds it all out nicely with the illest of atonal trips and subsonic bass tones that the finer sound systems out there will fully indulge. Underground Town is born in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Surrounded by nature and breath taking views we throw unique events where quality music and the vibes of the mountains melt together to create an atmosphere where groove and true emotions are the key players.

For our first release we count with 4 artists that have shared with us their love and spent some time with us this past winter season and now we want to give you all a quality piece of each of these great artist and humans.

First track from rising talent Mihai Pol is full of happy vibes from the beginning making you fall in a world of warm synths and space sounds traveling in a infinite world of continuous groove.

Second track of the A-side is Giorgio Maulini, founder of Underground Town and also rising talent in the industry. 'Sky Walk' is about taking a trip through the clouds with a sweet uplifting melody and a strong groovy beat made to make you dream and dance.

First track on the B-side is from our friend, well known for his excellent DJing and strong productions, Michael James. 'Bodyheat' is going to make us travel in a universe of strong beats and dreamy sounds grooving all the way to a parallel world where there are no boundaries in space or time.

And last but not least the great Funk E delivering 'My Straw' to close this vinyl only release with a groovy bass line to shake the dancefloor and a sweet synth coming slowly from behind to trap us in a dreamy state of mind.

An artist who deliberately plays with labels, taking in contemporary and novel forms, boldly launching into experimentation (as demonstrated by her collaboration with percussionist Vassiléna Sérafimova), Chloé wanted to take the album’s tracks and transform them in front of an audience by feeding them with new textures and inspirations. Performed over a year at events such as Nuits Sonores, Sónar, Mutek (in Montréal and Mexico), The Peacock Society, and festivals such as Marsatac, Musilac and Colors of Ostrava, Endless Revisions’ live performance has evolved with every show. It was out of the question to let these new versions - replayed, recreated and restructured alongside the evolution of the performance’s very architecture - fade away without a trace Chloé’s prolific Lumière Noire label, in the wake of its first anniversary, had to produce a recording that bears witness to the work that these ephemeral creations represents. Slowly introduced by Dune, then propelled by the impulse of Because it’s There, the mix is articulated around the appropriatelytitled Outerspace, followed by Party Moonster and the bewitching The Dawn, heard here in “clubbier” versions and adapted to a context in which the audience (whose enjoyment of the performance was audibly captured in the recordings), must be kept in suspense, as if carried away in a narrative. The set leads up to Moonscape, an exclusive track created during the performance series, before the performance ends with a new version of Sometimes, Chloé’s relentless 2002 instant classic. At nearly 50 minutes, this recording is like a snapshot of a work’s vital momentum, remaining faithful to the spirit of Chloé’s Endless Revisions while detaching itself in order to conquer new territories. It is what music must also be: a moving creation that is activated and reacts in contact with its audience.

Febreeze keeps my house clean, I even like the advert where someone is absolutely chuffed getting their nose into a carpet or there old dirty shoes cause basically febreeze had sorted
it all out. Febreeze after this has new meaning to me now. Its that large sound break coming into a sweaty basement club, its the euphoric sounds being supplied to a Sunrise before
deciding to go to bed or stay up.
This is the image ELLLL brings to mind when I listen to the two mixes of her fresh sounding cuts from her latest creation Febreeze.

In recent times Alex Pletnev has been making his mark on the musical stratosphere with an array of works from from cold wave edits, through gorgeous adaptations of african and world music to tribal techno originals. He joins us as Pletnev for "Aztec Code / Daywalker", a 12" combining his abundant influences to take us to bizarre, far-off places.

"Aztec Code" is a pure dance thing. Inspired by the fat kicks and live bass lines of the Big Beat era, Pletnev combines a jumping beat with african percussion and a charismatic vocal that seems to call out from between the palm fronds of somewhere steamy as we work up a sweat. Tenderly crafted with samples taken from almost 10 records, one-shots, drum layers and melodic licks are treated and mixed, giving rise to a warm, lush atmosphere perfect for circling a fire deep in the tropics.

On the flip, "Daywalker" is a completely original, synthesised outing. A sleazy lead line charms and slithers upwards between layers of syncopated tabla and a sultry acidic groove. The tune spins and twists around this central oriental theme, ever-evolving as layers of detailed percussion and ad-libbed melodies intensify the tone.

Sound artist Eva Geist joins Fleeting Wax label head Mehmet Aslan to spin "Daywalker". The pair create a sonic bridge between the two originals. Their hazy rework dubs out some electronic elements, adding contorted sound design, distant vocals, lofi samples and an italo leaning bass. A mystic incantation for spaced out late morning moments.

Tiefschwarz are back again on Watergate with a dub version and three stellar remixes of 'Free Falling feat. Khan' from their recent and highly acclaimed album 'Left'. Kicking things off is Skream and he takes the original to new heights in true Skream fashion with vivid arpeggios and silky vocals laid over reverb heavy snares and driving percussion ideal for the more climactic dance floor scenarios. Up next is a man who needs no introduction: Acid Pauli. Already a legend in his own right, we last saw him on Watergate on the Peahen EP with MyMy and Lee Jones back in 2010 and now he's back with not one, but two incredible remixes. Both his 'Cloudbuster and Clouddiver Remix' are lush displays of melodic, yet driving takes on the original. Warm pads and pulsing bass create a swirling melodic journey on both with 'Cloudbuster' being the more pumping and 'Clouddiver' taking the deeper route giving you two foolproof options. Wrapping things up is Tiefschwarz' own dub version of 'Free Falling feat Khan' and with it they deliver a stripped down take of the original, yet keeping just a touch of the low slung, sleek vocals to make sure it still has the quintessential Tiefschwarz feel. Thread captured our ears with their early outings on Reach Recordz, where they showed a unique approach to stripped down breaks and electro, mixing broken beats with minimal, electro and tech-house.

A project run by two hard-working veterans involved in the electronic music scene for the past 15 years, Marc Ashken and Ben Micklewright, Thread is just one of the several facets of this productions duo which is playing a key role in silently and relentlessly defining what we believe is a very unique sound, that blends influences coming from the vast legacy of the UK electronic music culture.

For this EP we’ve selected four diverse cuts that showcase Thread’s distinctive sound while keeping in line with our ethos of finding music that’s out of trends and time.

Anestie Gomez is not a new name in the scene. His meticulous arrangements, a naïve approach to electronic and an unprecedented love for analog synthesizers have
made him stand out over the last years as one of the youngest and most promising talents rising from Greece.

The four-tracker 'Short Stories for Tall People' marks his debut on Pluie/Noir and showcases his versatility both as a story-teller and a groove maker, with the perfect balance between machine rhythms and organic warmth for the upcoming seasons.
A-side's No Regrets' (A1) is the EP's warmest piece, with a clearly light-hearted approach to musical composition reminiscent of Mediterranean sunny days, while "Gurunext" (A2) shifts the tone entirely to a sonic palette of robotic glitches where
groove is key, pleasing the micro-house aficionados craving detail and swing.

The B-side has Anestie Gomez exploring a deeper organicity: 'Surmena' (B1) is a hypnosis-inducing, constantly moving composition clearly aimed at after-hours where time and space seem untraceable, and 'Supervixen' (B2) is the EP's jazziest
exploration around heavy drum programming, swing, and deep low-ends that ebb and flow with a very peculiar yet organic steadiness.

With just one (meaningful) release per year, Naural finds itself in a restless search for sounds that affect us differently than all that we've heard so far. It's 7th wax is introducing talented Einzelkind, featuring one track on each side.

LumieresLaNuit (alias LLN) is glad to welcome on board another talented Russian producer, Gatilove, and his "Wave EP" for the 8th release of its OFF series.

Just as his predecessors Module One and Bypass, Gatilove shows an unbelievable dexterity in delivering soulful, sophisticated and rousing cuts. Whereas "Marini" unveils a breaky and sparkling aquatic atmosphere, "Wave" brings us back above sea level with minimal beats and daydreaming chords.

LLN's OFF regular, Russian duet Bypass offers a minimalist and charming version of "Marini" to the sound of Japanese-inspired strings. Lost.Act, as for him, restyled "Wave" in to a floating and techno journey at night.

After Moscow-based duet Bypass (LLNOFF001 and -006) and Module One (LLNOFF007), Gatilove is the fourth Russian artist to join LumieresLaNuit, and Lost.Act the fifth.

Finally! the fourth instalment from our sister label EWax Black Series has arrived! No names, just music!

We were really impressed by "Invisibility Theory", the Sushitech released debut album from Christi Cons and Vlad Caia's Sideways Invisibility Theory project. This speedy follow-up for Half Baked Records (under the truncated SIT pseudonym) is rather good, too. Check first A-side "Spectral", a typically epic excursion where warm ambient chords, deep space electronics and glistening electric guitar motifs bob and weave around a chunky analogue bassline and locked-in tech-house drums. B-side opener "Owl Farm" is notably wonkier and weirder, with druggy drums, mind-altering electronics and the trademark glitch-laden shuffle we've come to expect from Romanian electronic music. That vibe is explored further on twisted closing cut "Animation", a particularly alien example of skewed tech-house funk.

Nacho Bolognani has been steadily building up a solid foundation of work over the past few years, moonlighting on labels like Fun Records, Momentz and MyHouse YourHouse. Now the house producer brings his skills to Purism, Enrico Mantini's on-point label that deals in all kinds of sublime stripped back jams. DKGF EP leads in with "Distance Dub," a steady ticking tool that should sit easy in the mix with all manner of sounds and styles. "Kip" brings a more shuffling strain of dancefloor goodness to the table, with some spooky key flourishes and slithers of vocal pinging out into the spacious mix. "Grey" plies a more nagging, techy trade, and "Flow" takes things deep with pattering percussion and atmospheric pad tones.

The story behind the chosen name of this EP - TONY SICORIA - IMPROMTU EP , has Tony Cicoria (his real name) as the main character, a doctor struck by lightning resulting in out of body experiences and vivid dreams of playing compositions and triggering a sudden insatiable desire to listen to piano music.
His case was first presented in Oliver Sacks's book "Musicophilia", chapter 1, A Bolt from the Blue: Sudden Musicophilia.

Mella Dee’s Warehouse Music drops its second release of 2019 this summer with ‘When You Gonna Learn’, the label debut 12” from Work Them Records boss, Spencer Parker.

Berlin-based Parker rarely releases outside of his own label or Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint these days, but having struck up a friendship with Mella Dee following the former’s support of his ‘Techno Disco Tool’, the idea of a release was cemented last year. The fruits of this produced ‘When You Gonna Learn’, which comes complete with a remix from Mella Dee as well as a dub version from Parker.


As you’d expect from both artists and label, ‘When You Gonna Learn’ is an urgent, gritty powerhouse of a cut. A discordant top line threads itself through the track while Parker pushes the limits of tension building strings and drum fills to extreme effect. His dub pairs things back somewhat, allowing the main riff to do the bulk of the work while Mella Dee delivers a classy but no less forceful late-night roller of a remix.

The main track of the release rolls on the A side.. "Schimbul 1" captures the attention immediately with the minimalist percussion completed by a hypnotic feminine voice giving to the track the main element, making it perfect for an after party session.

On the B side - two dancefloor-friendly tracks. "Schimbul 2" is an insanely infectious track, not least because of the stunning vocal but equally for that bassline - the essential ingredient.

John Dimas is surely one of the freshest operators in the minimal house scene - his One Against Time album on Elephant Moon last year being a crowning glory in his storied career to date. Now he's back on the EP tip with this high grade hit of floor-focused funk, making his first appearance on scene-leading label Half Baked. "5putn1k" keeps the beats tough and bouncy, peppered with plenty of playful zips and wiggles for the peak time party people. "@L5d" takes a deeper, spaced-out approach, while "5p@c3 T@lk" nudges back towards a full-fat tech-house sound. "@rkyn" seals the deal with a crafty 2-step configuration for the subliminal set to get hypnagogic to.

LOy is a newly formed duo, of two passionate producers, Azteca who is on the scene since quite a while, and Bolivar, a drummer, and electronic music producer.

Using the most of their knowledge, experimenting, they look to achieve the most colourful trips, wondering in the electronic music scene. At the Menu : 3 groovy house tracks dedicated to the dancefloor and a deep & subtle remix by the the famous Terrence Terry , a true honor to have this teacher on board. Good travel!

London based House label Inermu brings the second in their Vinyl Only series in the form of this 4 track EP from label boss James Dexter alongside master of groove Tuccillo.

To the untrained ear a collaboration between Mosaic boss Steve O'Sullivan and minimal house maestro Ricardo Villalobos may not seem like the most obvious sound clash. However, dig a little deeper and you'll find that both these artists have a long history and shared love of stripped back aesthetics and dubbed out rhythms carving out respective sounds that have never strayed far from their roots.

Sullric is the result of a daylong session at the end of 2016 where the pair plugged in, switched on and set everything to cycle: recording several hours' worth of material to tape with an edit of their favourite passage worked into two versions in post-production.

As you'd expect from anything Villalobos turns his hands to, the sound palette is fully laden with dreamy tinges of warped audio, pulsating synthesis and psychedelic tinges that are as equal as they are diverse never failing to surprise. O'Sullivan's input shines through in the rhythmic feel and the application of effects throughout, holding the entire track together as they hit on a moment that truly captures the spirit of joint electronic enterprise.

The Side A edit totals 10 mins and leads with lighter touch hat work that evolves in layers and builds, focusing more on the bass edged tones and vocals that envelope the senses throughout: the use of meditative gongs and a large stringed breakdown cutting through the mix to maximum effect.
Side B, titled the deeper dub, stretches over 12 mins and is slightly denser in feel as the rhythmic chug is brought to the fore - driving the track into a sparser territory that gives more ground and emphasis to the breakdowns when they drop. Either way, if you're seeking some heavy beats with weird shit on top look no further.

The 11 original tracks are the result of the latest two years of explorations.

Amin Ravelle returns with his fifth outing to date, another highly calibrated minimal techno experiment that takes inspiration from both the German and Romanian traditions. Much like the likes of the Slow Life imprint, these tunes are effective bullets to deploy through the sound system, wherever you may be. "Intrus Detectat" is a cold, calculating glitch of beats and precision-cut bass forms, and "Pan Integrista" steps a few places further out into the ether thanks to moodier, more cavernous set of background sonics. "Grotesque Studiado" is eerie in all the right ways, blasting out more complex sound patters, leaving "Trexroar" to lift the lid and unleash the deadliest of beat patterns. More Sobriquet, please.

Subtil 016 comes from Mihai Pol. The young up and coming Romanian artist has already made a name for himself within the community.
