Crisp Recordings is a record label and production company founded by legend DJ Ra-Soul and Chicago by way of Memphis' Don Crisp. Black in Time is the moniker used by the pair which has resulted in three previous collaborative releases on the label, and they're back with the fourth after a long hiatus. Now they present the politically charged "Democracy Is Hypocrisy" with its powerful narrative fuelled by a groovy minimal acid arrangement. Comes with a handy instrumental version on the flip, in addition to a rough and ready acid dub that's perfect for getting weird at the afterhours. Much crossover appeal anticipated on this little treasure -tip!

Mato takes us on an eclectic bass-driven journey with Moving In, his debut release and latest from Euphoria Records. The EP opens with the tribal rhythms of 'Gozo Carnival', a laid back groove that sets the scene for the vinyl. Euphoria Jamz follows with something best described as a late night ghetto jam while 'Where's the Chutney' drives the record on with a thick dose of meandering bass.

Mato, hailing from the ancient island of Malta, keeps one foot in Berlin's club culture, the other deep in Malta's energetic party scene which he has been instrumental in for over a decade; curating distinctive dance events and introducing artists such as Ryan Elliot, Margaret Dygas, tINI, and Enzo Siragusa. Mato's most recent venture is 'Mute', an intimate open-air club which he co-created and where he is also resident DJ.

In order to celebrate 5 thrilling and inspiring years, we gathered well-known artists, Goldmin
regulars and emerging talents. It was really important for us to express the elusive nature of
the Goldmin sound, in the form of a compilation tracklisting. Over the past 5 years, we had
the chance to meet most of these guys in person, follow their very own creative path, share
ideas, thoughts and there's no doubt that they all had their part to play in crafting our sound.
This intimate and stimulating kind of collaboration had to be expressed and there couldn't be a
better way to capture what we've been busily working for, than a serie of Various Artists 12".
What it comes down to is a quintessential, hard-to-follow Goldmin selection devoid of any
specific standard or norm. And this whole compilation seems to reflect that non-septate
artistic direction, this little something, which has grown throughout our whole catalogue,
since the label's birth.That's why, picking these select few tracks, that could illustrate Goldmin
Music's essential freedom was probably our toughest work yet. It was also important to pick
only the most original and iconic tracks from each artist. In the end each track had to be their
most Goldmin one and they all have been tried in all types of situations, in club at 1 and 5
AM, on the highway at night or even staring at the ceiling during a sleepless insomnia
session. They all fullfilled their duty.

Indigenous Electronic's second release the "No Market for Emotion" EP pushes further into organic territory with a hardware driven release. The A side sees two tracks on the dubbier end of the spectrum recorded by Iranian producer Ramtin Niazi, a musician with a background in instrumental music, now with a greater focus on machine orientated electronic music. Niazi's contribution sees him delivering two low slung tracks: "Naked Dub" progressing with Lush emotional pads and "Cash Dub" a moodier counterpart. The B side sees the label's head Omar Jayyusi's debut release, with two entirely out the box jams recorded straight to two track. "Pyramid" has a deep and solid rumbling low end, acid basslines and percussive drums. "Too Late for nonsense", is a sub-bass focused micro house dj tool, punchy and reaching the lower end of the dynamic range.

Kanja Records is sincerely honored to present its third vinyl release, based on a concept called Sunday Mornings. With this series of releases we will focus on that warm up, early morning, after party gems and slowly fading away from peak time music. Our philosophy behind this concept is that the focus goes to the tracks being timeless, and music that you can listen to in every time of day and night. Music that offers a vast variety, but in the end coming together in that sweet and warm morning glory.
Parallel Perception by Mau. was definitely our first pick for the first track on this release. With this release we went into a bit different direction, still keeping the early morning vibe, but the tracks are more minimalistic. Mau. brings us a very unique and a bit freaky tracks, that will be perfect for that early morning sets.
Vanguard by TIJN perfectly sits beside our opening track, with smooth pads and soft drums that imperceptibly pierce through the leading pad. Again a perfect track to play in that early morning hours.
Donnie by Mihai Pol is a really impressive track, again full of dreamy pads, but supported by a driving bass line, giving it a more acid like vibe. We are a huge fans of the music from Mihai Pol, so we are quite excited to have him on our release.
Yes We Do by Komponente is the final track on our third vinyl release. Another track that has a very unique structure, a bit more jazzy, but the acidized bass is making it really unique. With pleasure we welcome the boss behind the label we love, Tvir.

The 5th instalment of Inhere kicks off with the dirty acid baseline of A1, showing how much its sound has evolved since the label’s onset 2 years ago.

A2 is a more dance floor oriented cut, sounding like it would fit well either in the beginning or middle of a set, with its groovy and energetic percussion.

On the flip, B1 brings a more reduced sound, that blends nicely with the melodic chords coming in and out throughout the track.

The baseline and dreamy melody of B2, we think, is a great track to end a long, afterhours set with this summer.

This release gathered many interesting artists from all around the world who together deliver a colourful sound palette.

The first part will feature tracks from Priku, Iuly.B and Ernesto Ferreyra (Berlin/Argentina). The full A-side by Priku is a mesmerizing dubby journey with a highly hypnotic feel but still very driving. Ernesto Ferreyra's track is yet very powerful but softened by his typical sensitive melodies. To close the first record we have the talented Iuly.B, who with it's enveloping synth lines and solid energy on the low end gives us a super punchy track for any dancefloor!

Marginal Returns’ second release presents another debut artist EP, this time bringing London’s shadowy, Undersound-associated Sohrab into the light. Simple Minds comprises four takes on the classic UK tech house sound: contemporary, functional club music, with minimum fuss and maximum freshness.

‘Lonely Wave’ is the sound of a cat chasing its own tail, looping insistent and driving, yet elegant and compelling. ‘Conflict’ splits the difference between Brussels, Chicago and New Jersey, with an organ lilt buried in a vat of acidic jack. ‘Instrumentality’ brings a pure heads down, eyes closed, end-of-night spirit. ‘Tweaker’ closes the EP on a syncopated high, its dark electro bass balanced with a deftness of melody.

After a potent release from the head chef himself, an artist that preferred his name not to be disclosed is adding up to the waters.

This record’s A side bursts with a line of head hitting kicks that travels on a carrousel of bass, drawing the full attention of an auditor. With such a tenacious beginning, we can sense that this experience goes in abrupt contrast with the previous cats in the catalogue and whilewe think about it, a row of washy hats is enhancing the piece, leading to an open space of motion. There is no anticipations of what comes next...

“Highest Point” left a lot of tension behind itself. With “Obscur” we get back to a more domesticated sound. Strings of bountiful bass lines set the passage for what’s coming next - precise drum sections that paint propulsive musical pictures. The evolution of this piece brings to our hearing a comforting reconstruction of a pipe organ.

The pressurised air goes out of the pipes and the ethereal realm being is meddled by stripes of vocal that reminds us of Debi Mae West. Combined, they morph into a rhythmichowl, inviting for a dance.

Music means various things to artists, but for Dan Andrei, it's a playground where his off-hand approach and diverse productions are taking control, defining his signature sound.

Introducing his first Amphia release “Loose Dots”, Dan Andrei is once again proving his dynamic, yet discreet technique, one that can constantly bring out refreshing tracks.

“SOS” is a track driven by percussions and retro chords, with a touch of acoustic bass and a dose of shakers throughout the groove. “In the bass” is focused around a heavy bassline, with a twist of irregular notes drifting through, and a modulated voice that comes and goes unexpectedly.

“Still Unclear” and “Thing wa” represent the joyful side of the EP; The first track, introduced by a quick elevation between playful percussions, sequenced chords, and a tight groove, acts like a shapeshifter to a more deep house approach. The second track extends the melody-driven sonic composition, in between the elusive rhythm and the delicate synth line, a provocative swing that marks a vivid ending.

Well you know what they say, home is where the heart is. I must say it feels all nice and warm to be back on the label myself as Desert Sound Colony.
I've put together a few more rippers for you to enjoy. I hope they serve you well in the club and spin a few people from one side of the dance floor to the other. Imagine everyone's brains are attached to yoyos and you have control of them. You could metaphorically be walking the dog with their minds if you play these at the right time. Doesn't that sound appealing...
It is too awkward for me to 'big up' my own productions in the way that a normal press release seems to want, so I will just say that I have been playing these three out for the last six months and the results have been pretty much as described in the paragraph above. They are aimed straight at the dance floor, peak time tackle for when you also want to get everyone feeling pretty weird. Expect swingitty swung rhythms throughout and the feeling of having a rave in a drainpipe.
OK enough of my blather. Go and listen to the damn things yourself and decide if you like them, rather than trying to work it out from reading a bloody press release you weirdos.

The next release on Paul Rip's Specimen Records is by God of the Machine, the brainchild of deep house and techno maestro, Derrick Thompson a.k.a. Drivetrain. He has to be one of the most underrated Detroit exports with an unapologetic attitude towards underground dance music.

The EP kicks of with the original, a powerful slice of jackin' tribal techno, its bleeps, tones and chants sitting atop a tight percussive groove that's infectious from the first beat to the last drop. Next up comes Hijacker's electro workout. Its beats are old school yet the attitude is set firmly in the future with its square wave bass line, trippy noises and swooping sciKfi pads. Santonio Echols takes it back to Detroit with a simple yet driving tech house rendition containing sublime melodic chords, eerie pads and a hypnotic pad stab that sends tingles up your spine. Mr.C finishes with one of his typically infectious acid workouts, where he adds a cheeky bassline, haunting pads and cowbell pings to blend and morph into the twisted effects of a psychoactive substance.

The keeping of pets marks humans' attempt at taking possession of a part of reality that is not at his disposal. Dressing a piece of the real that lives according to entirely non-human rules and which only in the saddest case does not resist the discipline of the human symbolic order vehemently and in a sustained matter, is a violent act of protection. Because in the non-place of the real, all that which we are helpless in the face of looms: the non-logical and the nameless, the violence and the noise, yet also the unrestrained and unfiltered desire.The innocuous figure of the pet marks a gateway to an investigation of these eerie milieus, while electronic dance music lends itself to this investigation in an outstanding way. This constellation marks the subject of Column's 'Pets II.'

Column is the name of Cologne based renaissance man Jan Philipp Janzen, who, as chief emissary of Cologne's pop internationalism, has been playing the field in various functions for Von Spar, Cologne Tapes, Urlaub in Polen, Owen Pallett, Scout Niblett or The Field, and who has also, in one way or another, been involved in most relevant records coming out of Cologne for the past number of years. After his excellent solo debut 'Pets I' (Areal, 2016), Janzen presents another extraordinary record in 'Pets II,' perfectly complemented by another ghostly oil work of Burkhard Mönnich on the cover.Sonically, 'Pets II' marks a clear development for Column. In its exploration of the thresholds of the real, it sets two points of focus, corresponding with the split in sides A and B.

Side A, on which Janzen teams up with long-time friend myr. (PNN), explores the uncanny as a fissure of the symbolic order, and the subsequent breaking in of the real. It opens with two peaktime rockets that have their wooden, nether-regional groove narrated by grim, down-pitched vocals. The ethereal remix by Leibniz (hundert) seems to be observing the situation from a hiding place, and is the side's clandestine and no less dark closer.

Side B, for which Janzen invited studiomate Marvin Horsch (Dorfjungs/Beats in Space) along, delivers two swaying synthesizer workouts, the second of which, 'Molly and Swerve,' is directed firmly at the dancefloor again. What is at stake here is the transition between a free, undirected jouissance of the real and a more ordered becoming-lust. Here, as in Map.ache's (Kann/Giegling/Altin Village) remix which closes out 'Pets II,' it becomes clear what connections dance music can foster between a free, impersonal desire and the sphere of interpersonal wanting, but also the losses that are negotiated in it. Above all, however, it becomes evident what a courageous daring project 'Pets II' is in all of its conceptual and aesthetic determination; with Von Spar's standout 'Garzweiler' 12' (Altin Village & Mine, 2017), it documents a New Cologne Realism.

The timeless classic that is Energy 52's 'Cafe Del Mar', first released in 1993, has been rejuvenated and re-invented with 2 brand new remixes from Germany's leading beat scientist Ricardo Villalobos.

Cadenza head honcho, Luciano, often collaborates with many other artists, his constant touring schedule blessing him the opportunity to write and produce music with a multitude of like minded producers, and on 'Into The Aether", we get the first part of a two part series of tracks composed with various other Cadenza personnel. 'Arizona Green Song' sees Luciano and Marlowe (AKA Digitaline) get together for a vibrant and busy freak out. A plethora of rattling and sharp percussion cuts through a simple melody line and low slung groove. Building over ten tantric minutes, dubby inflections and hidden voices are woven into the detailed arrangement to great effect. A collaboration with Dani Casarano results in 'Bell's & Tonic", a slower paced vibe here, but with plenty of funk, from it's bending bass line and hand claps to the deft organ touches and shuffling shakers. A world within is created here, again distant voices, rattling cow bells and (yes) livestock and other field recordings are layered here to create a unique ambience. Uncompromising and original music then, from Cadenza's boss and friends. Expect a 'Part Two' to be released in the coming months....

From then on, House chords and dub elements abound, complemented throughout by beguiling melodic lines, hypnotic vocal samples, effects and some smooth filter action. This co-production from three Tech House specialists harmonises perfectly, creating a well-rounded, homogeneous track that leaves you craving for more!

Born in Berlin but 'living the life' in Mannheim, Fabe is the next insider tip on Cocoon worth keeping an eye on. Already shaking up clubs around the world, he's also part of the Cocoon Ibiza line up this year! However he's not only turning heads as a DJ, his productions also work on an extremely high level featuring a unique sound signature. His Cocoon Recordings track "Last Shot For Bob" creaks, growls, clatters, squeaks and knocks in all directions creating an incredibly cool and, above all, groovy sound. It's electronic noise-funk served up in the best techno and house fashion, that drags you onto the dance floor and drenches you in pleasure.

With this series of releases we will focus on that warm up, early morning, after party gems and slowly fading away from peak time music. Our philosophy behind this concept is that the focus goes to the tracks being timeless, and music that you can listen to in every time of day and night. Music that offers a vast variety, but in the end coming together in that sweet and warm morning glory.
24 Shots by Maki Polne was definitely our first pick for the first track on this release. Minimalistic sound with nice warm pads and freakish sound is the style that is perfect for our series.
Cielo by Lights Electronika and Valeria Croft perfectly sits beside our opening track, setting a mysterious vibe with warm long pads and atmospheric sounds.
Silly Lili by Fusal, an opening track on our b side, with nice minimalistic and laid back grooves certainly deserves a spot on our series.
Looking For The Unknown by Bauch and Henrik is the final track on this vinyl release. A really special track with nice piano pads nicely and slowly completes our release.

Jamie Jones rolls in with a timeless rolling gem that gradually builds into an impeccable late night jack-out laced with surprise acid tendrils. JC Fousdelamer brings the feels with a much slower, cosmic trip that lingers softly with spellbinding dubbed-out magic while Reboot unearths the techno beast that was always lurking beneath Christian's funk. Stripped back machine funk at its finest, Reboot never disappoints.

The second EP of Samuel Rohrer's Range of Regularity album presents two more striking reinterprations. Burnt Friedman's own dramatic interpre-tation of 'Microcosmoism' pairs up his consciousness of deep bass and analog inventiveness with Rohrer's continually transforming sound ob-jects, making for a flowing and wordless narrative that simply dares listen-ers to stop paying attention. Feeling more like a collaboration in 'real time' than a remix proper, Friedman brings his characteristic 'mad scientist' wit to the proceedings and delivers an energetic piece that simply glows in the dark.
The Villalobos' remix of 'Microcosmoism' carries a high energy level while heavily experimenting with feelings of emotional ambiguity. At some points aggressive and at other points merely curious, this mischievous collage of attitudes feels as inspired by the questing jazz of Sun Ra as it is by continental techno. Contemplative keyboard runs, enthusiastic spring-like percussion and malfunctioning machine chatter all coalesce to make this a most fascinating piece of multi-purpose electronic music.
Vilod, the collaborative duo of Villalobos and Max Loderbauer present the 'Uncertain Grace' remix which is no less engaging. A buzzing beehive of activity powered by an organ- like refrain, this is one of those pieces that will induce a fee- ling of perpetual movement into even the most still of physi- cal surroundings. This is especially true when, after four and a half minutes of flotation, a straight-ahead techno rhythm ta- kes over and all the disparate hovering elements fall into place.
Villalobos' compelling take on 'Lenina' pulsates from start to finish with a kind of voluntary anxiety; a commitment to painting every corner of the sonic surface with clearly defined pointillist touches. While this kind of approach would cause less confident producers to collapse at their editing worksta- tion, Villalobos takes to the task with gusto - leaving see- mingly no corner un-animated by sound, he pieces together something surpris-ingly funky and hyper-real from a catalog of distinct percussive hits, time-reversed ephemera, and playful 'kitchen sink' ambience.
