Starting their 2016 release schedule with some positive vibes from Something Records boss Stephan 'STL' Laubner, the EP entitled 'Renbual Nahpets', the story: two beautiful dub house originals on the Aside, and a tripped out extended remix by Cleymoore filling the Bside. A welcome return for the label who lit up the beginning of 2015 with an impressive run of EPs and VA collections, looks like more to come this year!

The first release from Lisbon based Doozy Cult sets the bar high with an EP from 100Hz Lee Renacre, who has been firmly putting out records since the late 80's. With a very characteristic funky approach to house and techno, 'Paradisiac EP' doesn't fall short to some of 100Hz's best work. Side A contains two of his most well kept gems, both tracks produced around 1995 with fellow studio partner James Chapman.On the B side we see Lee going solo with his most recent studio work, two live takes of analog technological goodness, bringing depth to what is an exquisite aural adventure.

Microclimat is a free party project organized in collaboration with its participants in parks, forests, ice rinks, wharfs, underground, wasteland and boats of the Paris region since 2012. The artists on this record have all performed live in our parties.

On the third release on his label, Malin Genie teams up with Amsterdam resident and Will & Ink regular Yaleesa Hall for a trip into dubbed out techno and house territory. The EP opens with "Oganesson," an immersive track pivoting around gnarled, shape-shifting dub techno chords. "84" is a more energised cut, using a similar central melodic thread but driving it with a sprightly beat and playful threads of synth expression. "Tournant" places the emphasis on textural sound design, embellishing a rugged techno rhythm with sonic matter that takes on an organic quality as it pulses and writhes around the beat. "Coronal Loop" finishes the EP off with an appropriately star-gazing jam that uses delay and reverb to great effect to create a sense of space in which nimble chord lines and other flourishes can cavort freely.

After a short break Salty Nuts is back with the first Various Artist Release on the label. Diego Krause delivers a classic house tune which shapes the vibe and mood of the whole record. Smabes is another special Mannheim collaboration. Sebastian Werle (Sedee) & Fabe teamed up for a funky bass break beat tune which keeps emotions high...
On the flip- side the new, fresh Duo Mishel A & Lost.Act from Moscow are adding maximum groove to the record with an advanced swinging beat that brings the right Energy to the dance floors.

Sebastian Fiegen rolls out his debut solo release for Cadenza Records this Spring, with a trio of excellent house cuts on the 'Theofidelity' EP. The German producer has been crafting quality productions for some time now under aliases and collaborations, and it's on Luciano's label where he makes his mark as a solo artist. 'Dopeman' opens the EP with a rolling Chi-town house style groove, a simple yet effective filtered vocal loop and sustained strings harvest the feel good vibes over its solid beats. Fiegen keeps up the pace with 'Anando', more drum led house grooves with a high production value, the vocal refrain cutting in and out of the mix whilst the simplistic bassline and woody percussion maintains the bouncing vibes. Closing the EP is 'TH01', again coming correct with the 'feel good factor' with its use of the looped sample and lazy, hypnotizing drums. A cracking debut production from Fiegen, and a well rounded release for Cadenza.

We extend our catalog with a fresh addition from our Spanish friend QILI and his aerial tone mark. He makes the move with no hesitation and instigate a rigid line of skittered kicks which are quickly shadowed by diving basal sounds. An arrangement of scratchy tones create a driving frame for this composition. It's an adulteration between dance-floor oriented and atmospheric states. Half way through, the rhythm is soaking into a melodic footing with subsequenting keys that are merely audible in the background. A more mellow experience is due on A2. Liquid patterns and bird like shots, makes the audition to be more laid back and relaxed. QILI left some room for your own thoughts and a very lofty feeling. Over turning this records brings us to Suolo's aphotic comprehension of the Lup Vechi'. A very compressed selection of kicks & snare in a company of jangling percussions and bleeps. The crystalline keys is the fragment that keeps the resemblance between the two artists. Astral and stretched vocals is something that gets under the skin on this one. A mastership that belongs to sepulchral locations with a whale of gramophones.

NorthSouth Records are back with their second release again bringing two young, up and coming producers into the fray. On the North Side is Berlin based Bristolian Christian Jay, with a few releases under his belt up to now, this man has been making some wicked music of late and as soon as we first heard these two tracks we knew we had to release them. The South Side is taken up by a friend from Essex, Bilal. Impressing us with his productions for some time now behind closed doors we felt that now is definitely the right time to show off this young mans talents to the world.

Leeds based beat machine Niko Maxen returns for his second outing on Shadow Sanctuary. Two indelible, groove led originals are on offer here, served up with remixes from man of the moment Michael James and label boss Dexter Kane. This 1982 Belgian 'Kosmisch' stunner was originally issued by 'CRETS' or Centre de Recherche et d'Etudes. The seven extended pieces form a course of 'sound therapy' similar in tone to Angel Rada's 'hand played' explorations in rubato-rooted forms. The largely tonal pieces - recorded using string and choir synthesizers, vocoders, drum machines, etc. along with a heavy battery of phasing and time-based effects-lands somewhere between a 'library music'-styled mood excursion and a genuinely transformative mind melter that ranks as one of the more obscure entrants into the...obscure electronic music canon.
