Sweet Addiction is Yuksek's great studio comeback. Its 5 elegant tracks signal his return as a main player. The maxi, which prefigures a 3rd album, features the Greek singer Monika (Make It Easy) and the duo Her (on the1st single, Sweet Addiction). Yuksek's characteristic sound, midway between post-disco, house and pop, shines through on its various tracks. Even more than on his last album, Living on the Edge of Time, Yuksek shows his talent as a singer. His new melodies are sunnier than before; his beats and production more subtle. Airy, but still conveying a touch of hedonism in its most club-friendly sounds, this EP is a foretaste of a sparkling new opus. Bio : At the start of the 2000s, Yuksek released a series of maxis and then two albums: Away from the Sea (2009) and Living on the Edge of Time (2011).Those records laid the foundations of a sound that uncompromisingly combined pop, disco and electro. Then in 2013, he set up his own label: Partyfine. It is now home to artists such as Clarens, Weekend Affair, Get A Room!, Jean Tonique, Juveniles,TEPR and Villa.

The next reissue classic on Henry Street Music comes from Dirty Harry St Clare. It was his first record, originally released in 1995. New York House at it's best!

A lot has changed for Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets in the past two years since they first send me a demo with their music. When we met in Amsterdam in 2011, they had just started their Detroit Swindle project and were making music just out of fun. They did not yet think of taking it to a more professional level. After some time, Elef got them to send me a few of their first tracks, which resulted in the 'Nothing Else Matters' EP together with the now 'classic' Detroit Swindle track 'Jick Rames' on it. 'Jick Rames' is truly a breakthrough track for the guys: it was something completely different at the time with its ultra slow tempo combined with Detroit/ Chicago-esque feel and hip hop attitude. Along with their well received release on Huxley's 'Saints & Sonnets', this marked the jump start of their musical career and it were these releases that marked the way the guys would take, combining the early 90's garage styles with deeper Detroit and Chicago house influences. Their music sounded so fresh and new that you could immediately pick out a Detroit Swindle track when you heard it in the clubs. It was something about their way of building breaks and especially the rhythms that had a typical 'Detroit Swindle' style with lots of shuffle and off-grid action going on. Their tremendous rise in the house scene already got them to be noted as newcomers in the 'Making a splash in 2013' section in DJ Mag and from there it just went off.

Amir Alexander's Anthology one brings together 4 of his most in demand tacks spread out over 3 EP's onto one 12 inch compilation. Necessary Sanctuary has proven to be an instant classic since it's quiet and humble release 5 years ago. Only 200 copies were made with 150 ever making it to the stores, by the time people knew about it, it wasn't available anymore. That is,until now. Both tracks are included. The Original Mix and the 3 AM Dub. Also included is The Universe from his Deep Vibes released Outsider Music EP, as well as The lovely Transcend for Amir's first full solo EP on Machining Dreams. Both Universe and Transcend were given a fresh mixdown, and all 4 have been remastered at Hard Groove Mastering Uk. This is the first of what will be an ongoing series for collectors, DJ's, serious archivists.

Wow how time has flown by.. It was almost a year ago to the day that the concept of Pathway Traxx was born, and we now find ourselves charging full steam ahead into our 3rd release.
This time round we welcome a very talented young Italian producer who goes by the name of Federico Curatolo. Federico first came to our attention just over a year ago with a track on the hugely successful 'The Lost House Tracks Vol.4 (12inch)' on Houseworx Germany. In more recent times we've seen him release with the likes of Holic Trax and Movida records. Federico might only be 19 but he shows musical maturity well beyond his years. Having played piano and keyboard since the age of 10 and producing house music since the age of 14, its clear this young gun has talent flowing through his veins.
For PT03 Federico offers up a lush and heart-warming A-side to this EP, with the spine tingling title track 'The Orchestra' and the very retrospective 'Piano 909'. Meanwhile the B-side offers a more hands on rough ride with the outright banger 'House Warrior' and Liam Geddes brings us a dark twist on his interpretation. As always, we've tried to create an EP that has a little something for everyone and I'm sure this release will not disappoint, as Federico once again sends out a message to all that he is one to watch!

A bonus release to his 12'' earlier this year on Clone Royal Oak with a rework of the Valentine's groove beats. KiNK himself add's his wellknown energy and turns it into a real crowd pleaser where Serge & Tyrell take care of the dub mix on the flip side stripping the track to its bare essentials.

Adesse Versions coming on Toy Tonics! After some heavy releases on Numbers, Local Talk, Make Love In Public Spaces and his own white-label imprint, Kevin Gorman brings us four new raw, heavydriving, superfunky cut-and-paste- House tracks. Killers! Adesse Versions started as a re-edit project while Kevin lived in Vietnam. It grew quickly, getting him big fame for being the guy playing just dubplates with unknown crazy music only he had. (Check his Boiler Room). Gilles Peterson, Derrick May and Larry Heard are fans. Adesse Versions is all about paying tribute to his musical idols and creating timeless music. Through rough sampling and raw emotion and as a DJ and collector. He is an artist that has toured the world many times over. Exclusive edits are a staple, alongside a wide selection of music that comes from a deep knowledge and love of what he does. To hear this in action, check out the monthly Adesse Versions show on Rinse FM.

Aus Music follow up a string of records from fresh signees Paul Woolford, Tom Trago and Recloose with the return of a long term friend and label favourite Marquis Hawkes. Hot on the heels of his recent LP 'Social Housing' - the Berlin based artist lines up 'Doornroosje', a tight a two-tracker that remains consistent with his output on Aus: dancefloor-focused jams suffused with simplicity and soul. 'Discopuss' kicks things off with a potent combination of samples and hardware as sassy Funk samples are propelled by tough crunching drums. The title track then follows up with piano stabs and busy, percolating synth lines driven at a pacy rate to rapturous effect rounding off another solid addition to Aus Music's catalogue.
