After a small hiatus Matthias Vogt and C-Rock finally got back together in the studio to present another Motorcitysoul masterpiece and convincing follow-up to last years Carry On single. The song features conspicuous vocals by the drumming singer-songwriter Phil Fill making it an eager and exhilarating confession to the playground love. The remixes of Lithuanian standout producer Mario Basanov contribute pure dancefloor magic. While the Vocal Remake offers a sentimental 80s disco feast, the Remix version is riding his distinctive Vilnius deep house vibe. With his debut album 'Cirque De L' Amour' things have come full circle as the eleven tracks show his wealth of variety as well as his verve for thrilling vocals. After the seething 'Intro", with the pre-released single 'When I'm With You' and 'La Vie En Rose' you fortunately step foot into the world of Stereo Express. While 'Freedom' reveals his pop affinity inclusive catchy vocals with a rolling bass and a divine electric guitar, 'Stranger' starts with a dominant kick drum. Together with label mates umami and U So Witty a longing pulsatile piece arise that develop a proper suction with its haunting synths. Sakso is Stereo Express' studio partner in crime and 'Agoria' indicates with its floating character not only an impressive climax, but that they are simply a dream team. 'All Over You' with the support of Sakso and Shimmy Timmy, who's voice already heard on the single, is a prancing track that breaths a good dose of sex appeal and desire through a funky bass guitar. While the deep bass line of 'Looking For Somebody' won't let any hip unmoved, the wonderful vocal sample of Ciara's 'Promise' evoke a delightful mood. This latest release comprises three originals, all infused with an evocative nostalgia. Opening with 'I Can Fly' the pair work in high-pitched synthesizers around a classic 4/4 disco beat, a wonderfully catchy filtered disco vocal hook and an acid style bass, creating a bumping 90s electro vibe with touches of hip-hop aesthetics. 'Beats Can Fly' simply strips back the vocals leaving you with penetrating raw melodies and a crisp drum beat for those wanting things a little grittier.
Closing the release is 'Talking Box', a feel-good number, featuring an electrifying synth hook that ripples through your mind, hooking you from the off. A low-end sub warbles in the background creating a slo-mo rolling groove, whilst bright piano chords lead the way. The 'less is more' approach to the composition does it justice, opting for minimal elements, yet each has a maximum effect, soundly playing off one another to create something retro, heartfelt and enviably captivating.

Fabio Monesi's evolution into an artist of his own accord is becoming increasingly more apparent with this all out analog fatale of the old school on the A side 'Warmest Bump (Hissman mix) and Black Brother' Two cuts on fresh wax throwing down some ruthless hard hi hattin' action.

Next number on Claap and it is another special offering. For our 16th release we welcome new kid on the Berlin block Kindimmer. We have had an eye on this upcoming creative spirit in a while and everyone was buzzing at ClaapHQ when we got the tracks that Kindimmer sent over. The grooves on both tracks got us so hooked that we asked Kindimmer to produce locked grooves out of these beauties and turn this release into a locked album! On side A 'Workz on dope' is a house groove reminiscent of that MCDE aesthetic but done in Kindimmer's own and unique production attitude. Hailing from Volos its by no luck that we have nicknamed Kindimmer as Volos city drum ensemble! Next to 'Workz on dope' we have added 3 locked grooves full of elements appealing to the djs who like to work it while playing! On the flip 'The distraction of fever' has that characteristic raw detroit vibe. Dominant stabs and a serious groove full of beeef! The whole EP is a cutting-edge merger between old school and modern, carefully crafted sounds, to forge an outstanding collection of deep house tracks with a timeless fashion.
The opening track on side A serves a gentle two-chord loop, locked with a groove beat progression, whilst track two builds up a dense swarm of rapid drums, with synthetic bursts twirling on an energetic bassline.
On the B side, a bare, rampant one note bass leads a haunting, gloomy first track, whose main theme is surrounded by recurring confused, scatterbrained vocal samples, while the second one is characterized by the simplicity of an upright, stabbing rhythm directing an emotive one note chord.
The ending track develops around a big, serious bassline, pleasantly contrasting with a succession of dreamy, floating melodies and noises.
