Strictly limited, one-sided 10" of Radio Slave & Thomas Gandey's rework

Caracal follows the British group's acclaimed debut, 2013's Settle, which included their breakthrough hit Latch' (featuring vocals from a pre-stardom Sam Smith). The new album will feature guest vocals from Nao, Lion Babe, Kwabs and jazz veteran Gregory Porter, the latter of whom appears on Holding On.' Last month, Disclosure premiered the dance floor jam Bang That.'

The duo, comprised of Guy and Howard Lawrence, teased the LP in the below trailer, which features moody images of a caracal, the titular wild cat.

The group explained the meaning of their new title in a statement. A caracal is an incredible wild cat that I became fascinated with while on tour last year. I just love the way they look, their physical capabilities and their anonymity,' said member Howard Lawrence. It felt like a perfect fit for our WILD LIFE brand too, so the caracal made perfect sense as the lead visual for the new album and over the course of recording, it also felt like a natural title for the new record too.'

Disclosure have also announced two headlining U.S. shows for this fall: Los Angeles' Memorial Sports Arena on September 29th and New York City's Madison Square Garden on October 24th. General ticket on-sales begin Saturday, June 13th at 10 a.m. local time, American Express Card members can purchase advance tickets from Tuesday, June 9th at 10 a.m. through Friday, June 12th at 10 p.m.

The group gave their first live performance of 2015 this past weekend as headliners of the Parklife Festival followed by another headlining slot at their own personally curated WILD LIFE festival. The duo brought out their Caracal collaborators at the latter show, where they also debuted a new song, Jaded,' featuring Howard on vocals.

The Hamburg duo Kruse & Nürnberg return with another sure-shot in their trademark groovy and reduced house sound. Designed for the most discerning dancefloors, the subliminal, sultry vocals of Karina Junker are twisted around an infectious jam. A year after the heartbreaking loss of "brother" Scott Hardkiss, Gavin and Robbie Hardkiss will release a new album: Hardkiss - 1991.


Back in 90's San Francisco; Scott, Gavin and Robbie Hardkiss helped pioneer the American EDM/Rave scene with their club nights, warehouse parties and groundbreaking record label. They forged a new direction for dance music with a string of vinyl releases culminating in the seminal compilation, "Delusions of Grandeur". It made the Billboard Dance charts, went to #1 on the Rolling Stone Alternative Album chart and launched the international DJ/production careers of the Hardkiss brothers.


Reunited in the Bay Area three years ago, Gavin and Robbie have produced a new album that stands tall in the often repetitive world of electronic dance music. Named for the year the Hardkiss collective was formed, 1991 references the sounds and sentiments of their early rave days while exploring new musical directions. Recorded in San Rafael, California, the album took shape in two home studios that are separated by a hillside hike. Most of the songs feature Robbie Hardkiss on vocals with additional vocals by Austin's Tameca Jones and New York rapper turned singer, Scavonne.


The focus was to create timeless beat/bass grooves within compelling contemporary songs that work for DJs as well as for a good listen. There's strong emphasis on sound design, intricate synth work and vocal editing and processing. With the help of mix engineer Luke Argilla of Bachelors of Science, the album took a full year to mix after the recording was complete. Wishing to remain connected to their vinyl roots, Hardkiss has also partnered with UnCut Records to manufacture limited edition double vinyl records of the album 1991.

On the A side the Lovebirds remix of their new single Hold Back Love. Lovebirds has been one of the mainstays of the deep house scene with his killer single Want You In My Soul in many best of 2011 charts.

2013 proved to be an excellent start to life as a label for Music Is Love. As well as truly finding their feet and establishing a breed of music representative of what the label symbolise, they simultaneously introduced us to plenty of fresh new talent and particularly pleasing was the unearthing of numerous promising UK artists.

Bringing us nicely into the New Year with the label's 7th release is London-based artist Mikki Funk, who's next in-line from the MIL roster to unleash his first full EP after appearing on the MIL VA back in February. Throughout Funk's work, so far, you will find a supreme blend of US/UK garage and soulful house, and those ingredients is what makes this latest EP so essential.

First up is the rhythmically unfolding house sounds of Out of My Head, with its bouncy bassline, classic 90's house piano chords and sensual female vocal building over swirling synths to give a real Balearic opening vibe to the EP. It's one for the dance floor and kicks off proceedings engagingly before Need No More maintains the pace, albeit with a deeper complexity. Spritely percussion combos drive this at a steady pace under a characteristic Funk bassline whilst deep, warped chords add greater dynamic and supersede the elements of the track.

L.A's Esteban Adame - an artist with a quite prolific musical background - brings his deep, creative flair for a remix of Our Love. Chunky hand-claps and thumping kicks take precedence while scurrying hi hats race over a heavy bassline and chopped vocals as some nicely shaped synths swirl and resonate throughout.

There's a fresh sense of variation with Funk's work - subtle melodies are laced with overriding house/garage sounds giving a revived take on the genres that have helped mould his style. Closing out an assured EP is Our Love, couched in the influences of classic house and built on archetypal 90's elements. Classic piano key chords and intermittent string stabs combine with an engaging female vocal as a groove-heavy bassline oscillates beneath the surface to round off the EP nicely and amplify what Mikki Funk is all about.
