Some collaborative projects are made in heaven and maybe this is one of those moments With an illustrious career stretching over two decades, Chico Shuella has become one of Israel's most respected and sought after DJs and producers. An accomplished pianist (with an exceptionally keen ear for musical harmony), he operates under his Chicola production moniker and has transformed the underground house scene in his homeland while making giant strides on a global scale.

Meanwhile, legendary Tel Aviv-based DJ, Sahar Z, a longtime veteran of the global techno-house scene, has also emerged as one of Israel's finest musical talents. Not limited by any genre or style, Sahar Z's influences come from many directions, creating his unique sound that transports the crowd through a journey of atmospheres and moods, from deeply melodic sounds and fresh electronica to harder yet soulful techno.

Chicola and Sahar first met 15 years ago while Sahar was the resident DJ at the famous Haoman 17 club (the biggest and most prestigious club in Israel). Chicola was the resident DJ at the TLV (also a very famous club) and the two musical connoisseurs DJ'ed together at many of the after-parties. Around 2004, the scene in Israel started to slow down and they both headed off to explore different musical opportunities, only to be reunited 2 years ago when they decided to combine their boundless creativity in a studio environment and make lots of tracks together. Two of their resulting, unbelievably amazing, diverse musical creations are now to be unveiled on Lost & Found.

Whether it be the hypnotic, subtly evolving, energetic, melodic vibes of "They Made Me Do It", or the slower, bass-heavy, abstract experimentalism of "Smoothy Moody", what you have here are two glorious creations that fuse together and break down any remaining genre boundaries in a truly futuristic fashion. This is music to hold close to your heart. This is music that has such freedom of expression that is more than the sum of its many parts.

Welcome to the darkly enchanting minimal synth pop world of Modern Art. As an introduction to the world of Coil and Current 93 collaborator Gary Ramon
and his orbiting bandmates, this is where it all started.

Formed by Ramon in the early 1980's, Modern Art released two albums on vinyl, and a significant amount of impossible-to-find cassettes. Some of this material
was compiled in a highly regarded 3-LP sold out box set, made in 2013 by Vinyl on Demand.

Underwater Kites is a remastered reissue of their very first cassette album, originally released in 1982, which also includes three previously unissued tracks
from that session. On this album you will find examples of what was going on in England during the pinnacle of the post-punk music scene - a time that inspired
lots of young musicians to develop music influenced by the likes of Joy Division, Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle and Clock DVA.

Guitar, synth and drum machines creating a calm yet dark atmosphere, sometimes psychedelic, yet no way mellow. Truly a great lost gem' - Mutant Sounds.

Formed from splinters of 1960's psych bands Neon Pearl, Bulldog Breed, Please and Gun, the 3-piece T2 known originally as Morning, released their
debut album "It'll All Work Out In Boomland" on Decca in 1970 to critical acclaim. The band forged a cult live reputation and even played at the Isle Of Wight festival
on the same bill as Jimi Hendrix the same year. Due to tensions within the band, guitarist Keith Cross left, and the second album remained in the vaults - until now!

T2 are regarded as one of the best examples of UK Psych/Progressive Rock from the early 1970s, and this album is as good if not better than their debut album!
Featuring lengthy tracks like the original Boomland, this masterpiece comes highly recommended to fans of UK prog/psych. If this was released at the time,
they would have certainly gone on to the big league of rock alongside bands such as Free, Deep Purple, Atomic Rooster, etc.

The original line-up of T2 only lasted for one year, and the music we recorded reflected a specific time and place. We are very grateful that so many people

Midwinter's now legendary status in the field of acid-folk had only been established when their 1973 demo recordings were unveiled to a wider audience twenty years after their conception. Until then, Midwinter had existed only in local knowledge and in the shadows of Stone Angel, the post-Midwinter outfit whose privately pressed LP from 1975 has since commanded deserved attention by fans and collectors alike.

Also included in this retrospective edition is the earliest known recordings by Midwinter/Stone Angel front-man, Ken Saul taken from his highly rare and sought-after debut single from 1970.

Back in 1993, even before Uwe Schmidt was known as Senor Coconut, Atom TM, Geeez'n'Gosh, Atom Heart or other production aliases, he released some hardly recognized and well experimental tracks under the name of ATOMU SHINZO.

A few original copies of his self-released - COOL MEMORIES' 12' were now discovered in a long lost box standing in a dusty warehouse for more than 20 years on which Uwe Schmidt a.k.a. ATOMU SHINZO explores the joyful, raw euphoria of hyperspeed Breakbeats and electroid Proto-Drum'n'Bass through the two tracks featured on the A-side as well as a long journey into deep atmospheric Drone Ambient / Dark Ambient on the flip.

Markus Schulz drops the curtain on the 17-strong tracklist for his fast approaching artist album, 'Watch The World'. Following the chart success of its vanguard singles, 'Destiny' and 'Facedown' (for which Schulz co-wrote lyrics), it sees the acclaimed producer assume an album songwriting role for the first time.

Henry Street noch immer 20-jähriges Jubiläum feiert. Hat die New Yorker House-Institution doch erst im
Frühjahr 2015 eine 5CD-/3LP-Jubelkompilation auf den Markt gebracht, die rund acht Monate später durch
eine limitierte Single-Box mit fünf farbigen 7''es abgerundet wurde. Und genau die findet nun eine
Fortsetzung. Obwohl man streng genommen bereits den 21. Geburtstag feiern dürfte, firmiert die limitierte
Vinyl-Zusammenstellung unter dem Signet "20 Years Of Henry Street Music". Die Box enthält elf House-
Tracks von Robbie Rivera, Furious George, DJ Duke & Roland Clark, Brutal Bill, Ralphi Rosario, Johnick,
King Britt, Mateo & Matos und Todd Terry & Marshall Jefferson. Die Stücke sind erstmals auf Vinyl erhältlich.

Azzido Da Bass and Stevo Wilcken co-wrote their first original song "Dooms Night", which was released in 2000 at the Love Parade in Berlin. Although the song did well in Germany, it languished outside the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart until a remix of the song was released by Timo Maas. The remix's popularity sent the track to #8 in the UK chart.

Mangiami 'La Compilation' celebrates the titular NYC Lower East Side Italian restaurant and party. Translated literally as 'Eat Me', over it's six years of existence it was a legendary hang out for the city's underground cognoscenti like DJ Harvey, Tim Sweeney or Eric Duncan, as well as serving up a mean seafood Risotto Alla Campagnola.

When owner and DJ Gianfranco Costa approached Golf Channel's Phil South with the idea of releasing commemorative edits and a compilation album to capture the vibe, he jumped at the chance. First, they released 3 Mangiami Edit 12's in 2014, and now the full comp. The album features new tracks from regulars Totes Preesh (Sean Marquand and Patrick Wood from The Phenomenal Handclap Band), Dedication (Felix Dickinson's Japanese band project), familiar downtown presence Nick Chacona aided on vocals by Cole Odin Berggren. Cole is a DJ, singer and multi instrumentalist from San Francisco, previously in rock band Bobbie Marie and psychedelic band Ownership, his new project is a solo outing of psychedelic rock-inspired electronic music called Song Rider.

Golf Channel's own The Loose Control Band (West Coast legends DJ Spun & Jonah Sharp of Spacetime Continuum). Gianfranco himself turns vocalist on two new productions, one from Throne of Blood's Populette and another from Alex From Tokyo And Bing Ji Ling. Alongside these are two long overdue reissues of lost classics by Thugfucker and Will Burnett's Grackle alias.

Unofficial musical co director / promoter Jason Kincade was affectionately known as 'The Mayor' of the restaurant. He writes: 'From 2006 until its lamented closing in 2012 Mangiami was the downtown clubhouse for a very New York cross-section of DJs, artists, musicians, fashion people, music obsessives and assorted layabouts. On any given night of the week you knew that within an hour of sitting down at the bar any number of your friends would soon appear, and be entertained by the massively charming owner, Gianfranco. Then there were the DJ nights. Every Monday (and later Wednesday) from after work until far too late on a weeknight pretty much a who's who of local heroes and international superstars would play on the rickety old Technics sat on the bar, with mayhem and general debauchery to follow. It wouldn't be a surprise to come in one night and find DJ Harvey at a table with Tim Sweeney next to Alex from Tokyo and Bing Ji Ling with Eric Duncan manning the decks and 100 people crowded into the tiny space and spilling out into the street.

Before things reached a climactic close, one of many highpoints was the night Tony Humphries asked to play there. The beauty of how full circle things had come was not lost on Costa and South and when the time came, they asked Tony to mix the CD part of the compilation. His expert long blends and trademark smooth style will be familiar to all those who caught the man back in the day either via his Kiss FM mastermixes or his legendary Zanzibar residency. Here he gets a whole new set of toys to play with, and delivers a master class in sequencing, mood building, and the fine art of Deejaying.

'The music is a lovely reflection of how the nights went down there, just happy, good time stuff - whether it's the more relaxed or the more banging end of the spectrum - both are represented.' says Golf Channel's Phil South. It wouldn't be a surprise to come in one night and find DJ Harvey at a table with Tim Sweeney next to Alex from Tokyo and Bing Ji Ling with Eric Duncan manning the decks and 100 people crowded into the tiny space and spilling out into the street.

The beauty of how full circle things had come was not lost on Costa and South and when the time came, they asked Tony to mix the CD part of the compilation. Astro:Dynamics release the debut EP from Adam Oko, their third and final release of 2015 following a collaborative LP by BNJMN and Best Available Technology and the second volume of BAT's 'Excavated Tapes' series.

A keen collector of 1980's era Japanese electronic music and post-punk records, Oko has broadcasted mixes on NTS Radio including a Daevid Allen tribute show following his passing earlier this year. Diet of Germs is the London-based/Canterbury bred artist's first release - having previously remixed and collaborated with the likes of B£AMS, Kelpe, and Devon Loch for the ever excellent Kit Records - and demonstrates a keen ear for minimalist composition and frippertronic loops as well as the likes of Soft Machine and Haroumi Hosono, with a touch of almost Windham Hill-esque ambient.

Raven Bush of Syd Arthur contributes a solo on Suketo, and Portland's Best Available Technology successfully makes it onto all of the label's 2015 releases by rounding off the EP with an excellently smudged and downbeat re-imagining. Golden Teacher started life as a studio collaboration between Glasgow's noise punk trio, Ultimate Thrush and Glasgow's all analogue house duo, Silk Cut. The results of their collaboration turned the ears of all who heard them, not least Twitch who after one listen asked if he could release the project on Optimo Music label.

Recorded live, direct to tape at Glasgow's legendary Green Door studios with minimal overdubbing and editing, the tracks feature various associates of the band contributing vocals and additional percussion. It's a little hard to describe Golden Teacher's sound (always a good thing in our book) but imagine Arthur Russell's Dinosaur L jamming with Bobby O, K Alexi Shelby, Liaisions Dangereuses, Imagination, some voodoo drummers and Sly & Robbie. It is in our opinion one of the most original and wildest records to come out of anywhere in 2012. We like to call it hypno-psych voodoo groove.

The resulting 5 track 12" EP comes in a beautiful hand screen printed sleeve constructed by the band and will be released in this format as a limited edition of 250 copies. Any further pressings will be in a generic Optimo Music sleeve.

Golden Teacher made their live debut at an Optimo night in Glasgow in early October. In future they will be playing select live shows at times and places of their choosing. If you are looking for slick, smooth, generic computer made music, this release probably isn't for you, Sugar

Born in the early 60s as 'Herr Mussita e i Nomadi' by initiative from bassist / singer Franco Mussita, the group soon altered its name to 'Nomadi' until, not to clash with the namesakes of the famous authors of 'Dio è morto', they eventually and permanently changed into 'I Raminghi'.

Under this name the band began to play several stage and even TV appearances, and in the wake of a growing success they finally managed to record and release their only LP in 1971. The typical vehemence of their live performances is perhaps only partly transferred on the album tracks, but "Il lungo cammino dei Raminghi" is still a remarkable job, packed with beat, psychedelic, progressive and folk music, which certainly impressed the lucky ones who were able to listen to it at the time of its release.

This album was in fact printed in very few copies, and is now among the rarest items of the early seventies Italian scene. Already reissued by Vinyl Magic in a CD papersleeve version, which is now out of print, "Il lungo cammino..." is now proposed in a faithful reproduction of the original release, with a 30x30cm mini-poster and a completely unheard song, "Non Farlo"!

Once again the band's effort focuses on the recovery of the old Biglietto's tracks from the '70s, in particular from their second LP 'Il tempo della semina'; the tracklist also includes the brand new song 'Narciso e Boccadoro' and 'L'amico suicida', the latter taken from the legendary eponymous 1974 record.

For those who mind about definitions, this is the band's maturity record, of those intentions already revealed in their previous effort 'Tra l'assurdo e la ragione' and now brought to completion through a long process of elaboration and improvement: the sounds mix, the most varied timbres and the individual musicians' diversities come together in an even more full and harmonious way, in the re-creation of a new ambitious product that aims to realize and actualize the meaning of the word 'PROG': music that goes on, progresses, matures and does not only look back.

Listeners will judge value of Biglietto's music; that of the presentation will be immediately evident instead, thanks to Marco Menaballi's work, who interpreted the album title exhortation with a powerful and robust graphics, giving this product an added value and an overwhelming visual impact.

'Untitled' opens up, building behind a gently reverberated 4/4 kick and interchanging hat sequences. Hypnotic, off-kilter samples and subtle flecks of acid generate a brooding and purposeful tone as a sense pressure builds throughout.

'Tribalz' steadily grows with space echo tails drifting in amongst full and tenebrous pads. A brash and busy 2-step rhythm emerges as an overdriven kick sticks wood-blocks and cowbells to the floor. In a manner akin to the likes of Joe and Blawan, rattling rhythms are mapped across all corners of the mix with imperious accuracy.

In 2011 it got a little quiet around the co-productions of Fraenzen Texas and Ruede Hagelstein aka The Cheapers. But since the beginning of the new year the lights don`t go out in their studio doing beats and sound. Next to Releases on Areal Records and Bar25 the UY063 was born. Title of the name giving A-side goes back on a quote from Paris Hilton who wants to tell with 'Amazeballs' how super cool she finds things. Anyway the two artists made it real with their concise bassline which will make the people reliably squeak more than hobby DJane Hilton. On the B-side things turn a bit more severe: 'Egyptian Summer' quotes with samples the Arabic spring in Africa and produces a revolutionary ground mood which has never been heard before. On B2 however there are the cheaperesque absurdities on the microfon like we know them... depositing skillfully their own vocals in the belly of a hungry electro monster.

Live "techno-tanzband" trio Elektro Guzzi are set to release their new studio album 'Observatory' via Berlin based record label Macro. From their 2010 s/t debut album ("hauntingly beautiful" - Resident Advisor) and 2011 follow up 'Parquet' ("hypnotic, near kosmische reverberations" - Clash) Elektro Guzzi have taken their man-machine live show of bass, guitar, drums around the world, from landmark clubs like Fabric and Berghain to major festivals Roskilde, Sónar and Mutek.
With 'Observatory', Bernhard Hammer, Jakob Schneidewind and Bernhard Breuer shift everything anyone could expect from a live band. Tellingly, instrument credits have been wiped off the record sleeve. Still a string and a drum skin at the source, the sound emanating from the speakers seems to have travelled light years. Utterly alien, 'Observatory' unfolds into a paradigm for both the performance of music and the music performed.
Despite advances in software, ironically it is this live band that initiates a redesign of how techno could leap into the future. There is nothing retro about it. No citations of historic moments. The album resembles a party on the edge of the solar system, with scraps of distant sound memories - a shocking abandonment of anything an instrument was supposed to do. The recordings' warmth is at a stark contrast to the music's Skynet thrust: a time capsule of techno projected into the dark unknown. Metallic and human at the same time, a love cry miles from home...

Live "techno-tanzband" trio Elektro Guzzi are set to release their new studio album 'Observatory' via Berlin based record label Macro. From their 2010 s/t debut album ("hauntingly beautiful" - Resident Advisor) and 2011 follow up 'Parquet' ("hypnotic, near kosmische reverberations" - Clash) Elektro Guzzi have taken their man-machine live show of bass, guitar, drums around the world, from landmark clubs like Fabric and Berghain to major festivals Roskilde, Sónar and Mutek.
With 'Observatory', Bernhard Hammer, Jakob Schneidewind and Bernhard Breuer shift everything anyone could expect from a live band. Tellingly, instrument credits have been wiped off the record sleeve. Still a string and a drum skin at the source, the sound emanating from the speakers seems to have travelled light years. Utterly alien, 'Observatory' unfolds into a paradigm for both the performance of music and the music performed.
Despite advances in software, ironically it is this live band that initiates a redesign of how techno could leap into the future. There is nothing retro about it. No citations of historic moments. The album resembles a party on the edge of the solar system, with scraps of distant sound memories - a shocking abandonment of anything an instrument was supposed to do. The recordings' warmth is at a stark contrast to the music's Skynet thrust: a time capsule of techno projected into the dark unknown. Metallic and human at the same time, a love cry miles from home...

2011 ended on a high for Jonny White & Nitin's No.19 Music label with Maceo Plex dropping 'Under the Sheets', for many, one of the biggest records of the year. 2012 has already begun in style with the awesome 'So Good EP' from rising star Louie Fresco and now No.19 looks to continue its unbrokenrun of quality music with this; the latest single from Barcelona based Mexican DJ/Producer Miguel Puente.

Puente has been at the heart of Barcelona's thriving scene since relocating there from his hometown of Monterrey, Mexico. He has established himself not only as a sought after DJ and producer but also as a promoter, putting on some of the cities hottest parties with guest such as Soul Clap, Art Department, Lee Foss etc. It should be no surprise then that his talents came to the attention of fellow Barcelona resident and No19 head honcho Johnny White who snapped him up to record for what has become one of the most talked about labels around. Miguel's single kicks off with title track 'What You Do', an incredible update on the classic sound of early house, with 808 drum patterns, bubbling bass, old school synths and seductive vocals fused into an infectious piece of house music, sublime!

Next up we have the excellent 'Save Each Other' with its dark edged, future retro synth work, haunting riffs and speaker shaking bassline playing off the classic vocals perfectly. The package is completed with a third vocal cut in the shape of the electro influenced 'It's Been So Long' which has a deeper, cinematic inspired feel whilst still retaining a strong dancefloor sensibility, definitely one for the early hours! 'What You Do' is another superb release from a label that is unstoppable at the moment and an artist who looks set for big things, enjoy.

Strut presents Hardcore Traxx: Dance Mania Records 1986-1997, the first definitive retrospective of one of Chicago's most important and innovative house music labels. Emerging as a raw alternative to the powerhouses of Trax and DJ International during the mid-'80s, Dance Mania continued to represent street-level Chicago club music into the '90s, helping to pioneer the Ghetto House sound.

Hardcore Traxx traces the full story of the label from its heyday. Founded in 1985 and managed by Ray Barney, Dance Mania hit the ground running with its second release in '86, the incendiaryHardcore Jazz EP by Duane & Co. Barney quickly became a trustworthy outlet for early house and acid productions by upcoming Chicago artists such as Lil Louis, Marshall Jefferson and Farley Keithaka Farkey 'Jackmaster' Funk.

The label set out its stall with a series of landmark Chicago releases including 7 Ways by Hercules, Li'l Louis' The Original Video Clash, and international smash House Nation by Housemaster Boyz. During the '80s, it cemented its reputation for uncompromising club records and DJ Tools with sounds spanning raw garage (Victor Romeo's Love Will Find A Way), acid trax (Robert Armani) and quality house (Da Posse).

Into the '90s, Barney unleashed the groundbreaking "Hit It From The Back" by Traxmen and Eric Martin, ushering in a primitive new sound around faster, stripped down rhythms and X-rated party-starting lyric lines. Barney remembers, 'Guys used to call in and ask for music on Dance Mania - they were saying, 'gimme some of that ghetto stuff.' Dance Mania producer DJ Slugo adds, 'when we made Ghetto House... we made music for the bitches. Music for the grinding sh*t and all of that.' The sound spawned a whole new swathe of homegrown producers releasing a fast flow of no-compromise dancefloor bangers: Paul Johnson, DJ Deeon, DJ Funk, DJ Milton, Waxmaster and Slugo all became leaders of the scene. The influence of ghetto house became widespread, not least for Daft Punk, whose track "Teachers" from their Homework album in 1997 was effectively a tribute to Dance Mania. The new wave of productions also paved the way for the later Chicago juke and footwork scene.

Today, with the label back up and running courtesy of Ray Barney and Parris Mitchell, Dance Mania remains a revered Chicago institution across dance music. With Hardcore Traxx, Strut traces the history of the label on a definitive compilation for the first time, from the early classics to ghetto house anthems alongside big money rarities and oddities hidden within their substantial catalogue. Produced in association with Dance Mania, the release is compiled by Conor Keeling (DJ behind the popular "Teachers" Daft Punk influences online mix) with help from Miles Simpson of Ransom Note. Physical formats feature full label history and artist interviews by DJ Chrissy Murderbot alongside rare photos.

The two have been collaborating and producing music under the ingenious name "M+C" for a few years now, and Chris also worked as engineer on Mike's debut record "Capricorn Rising" last year. We are hoping to see some sort of M+C release out soon on Italians Do It Better, but in the meantime this will have to suffice. With "Smile revox" , Program Raphael seems to use the same recipe used in
the mythical production of old Kitchenstudio3's friends , Poker ( Eukahouse
rec.) and Borgomanero ( marshmellow rec) during the last decade. Big bad
bassline, vocals that comes from a lo-fi cassette and a "move your ass"
style drumkit. Old style synths that provide a crescendo feeling directly
for the dancefloor. Play it on your old boombox!Pezzo's 'Analog whisper' is
upbeat and housey, with a screwing bass melody and distorted voices directly
from the streets. Hipnotic keyboards mixed with a hipster drumkit that seem
to come directly from a stoned sunrise in a riviera's beach.
Segment Snap's track from Pezzo lives around a heavy kick and a sinth
breakbeat ska structure. Dreamy voices bring to an altered state of mind .
