House Vinyl New Releases - News

Big Miz is back again with a massive self released track perfect for the dance floor. With rolling drums, skippy percussion and morphing synths this is sure to boot off. Also includes a banging remix on the flip from Mella Dee.

RAWAX MOTOR CITY EDITION is the new series for music which is influneced by the sound of
Detroit and of course also for artsist from the city. Orlando Voorn aka The Nighttripper
released ''Phuture'' in 1991. We are happy to present you on the first edition the
remixes by Kevin Saunderson & Robert Hood!

Following up on "Like Comment," last year's excellent full-length by Georgia released on Meakusma, we are happy to present an eclectic and gently schizophrenic remix package, entitled "Like Comment Comments." The 12" features contributions by Bryce Hackford (Prah/DFA), Matt Werth (RVNG Intl.), Afrikan Sciences (DeepBlak/PAN) and Thomas Bullock (Rub-N-Tug), plus two new tracks by Georgia that further develop their informed hypnagogic ambient-pop tendencies. Bryce Hackfod takes Nu-Way Heat into subtle club music territory, conjuring up a distinct, varied and mesmerizing house track that builds and layers into a blissful mini-anthem. Matt Werth puts nu-digidub spin on Abstract High, turning the original into a confrontational and slightly absurdist slab of dancefloor confrontation. Afrikan Sciences deconstructs Mahbunzi Nahgo Pihndi Goes To The Market using his characteristic broken breakbeat approach to create a piece of daft and extremely modern electronic funk. Finally, Thomas Bullock modi-cuddles Haya into an prolonged ambient reverie to bridge and layer between dance floor pulsations.

Ryota O.P.P aka Ryota Arai delivers his debut album 'Pale Lux' for Meda Fury.
Ryota is based in Tokyo - at the nexus of the Japanese house / future disco scene, alongside cohorts such as Cos/Mes, Inoue Shirabe, and KZA he blends eastern mysticism, jazz spirituality, and cosmic disco with classic 4:4 rhythms.
A highly respected DJ, promoter and producer the opaque discoid-stomp of his Future Life EP marked him out as an original oddity but a vital new voice in the now global electronic music community, but with 'Pale Lux' he's enlarged the scope of his musical canvas to incorporate new fresh textures and atmospheres.
As Meda Fury head honcho Nick Williams explains: ''Future Life' was built from some quite dark, abstract demos, some of which ended up being a bit overproduced for his self made debut cd only album. The Pale Lux LP is a Ryota's fully realised eclectic vision, with a mood that is more optimistic and playful - much more reflective of his personality."
'Pale Lux' indeed has a real narrative flow - dance floor tracks such as the chunky balearic vibes of 'Wood', and banging future techno of 'Bird Flying Over The Rainbow' nestle alongside home listening ambience - witness the backroom/chill-out vibes of 'Origin', the cute hip hop bounce of 'Soft Touch' or the delicate trinket box chimes of outro 'Drops'.
Oscillating between light and shade, slow and fast, the influence of Japan's history and native instrumentation runs right through the record; his fascination with Balearic, Disco, Deep-House, Hip Hop, Ambient and blunted beats parcelled into a glorious, sweetly considered listening experience.

Classy super sound house single! Warm and uplifting with a gentle approach - but still with a solid mix and statement on both melody and groove. These two brilliant pop-lenght tunes cut generously on full 45rpm sides are produced by Wada, half of Tase, known from their great Acido and Atelier Records outputs.

Repress

Finally the official remastered reissue of one of the rarest and sought after italo-disco record from early 80's. You'll be hard pushed to hear anything like this ever again... this is an epic out there electronic production that's one of a kind. In the same period of other italo-disco classics like REM, STOPP, Klein & MBO, GANG previously reissued by Best Italy, they representing the roots of chicago sound played by the pioneers like Ron Hardy!

5 tracks of pure heat of various styles from members of The Black Lodge global family. A1 is entitled "Atmospheres" from the ever-talented Michigan producer JTC aka Tadd Mullinix Bopside/Nation/Ghostly. A2, entitled "Arreskni" comes from newer Chilean artists MU-GA, a track we released in digital format last year from their debut EP. Finishing off the A-side is Italian super-duo SONS OF TRADERS SOT/Frigio/Black Lodge aka Tans X Mike Tansella Jr. with the acidic cut "Indianapolis" also released last year by BL on tape and digitally from their first full length album entitled "Crollo Nervoso". Side B blasts off with the early Chicago house inspired track "Passion" by prolific Dresden producer SNEAKER Uncanny Valley/Rat Life/Frigio. Closing off the comp is a dirty warehouse banger/burner by e-spirit, a new alias from LA producer DELIVERY LA Club Resource/Valcrond Video.

Following the completely sold out 'Imagine - A - Nation' and 'Le Fusion' reissues, Anotherday brings you a very special release from the vault of the enigma that is Spencer Kincy, AKA Gemini - we are very proud, and extremely excited to present Gemini's first 4 releases, lovingly re-mastered!

* Originally released on Relief Records; the Chicago techno label headed up by Cajmere, these releases were Gemini's introduction into the worlds of house and techno, and contain some of his most vital works.

* As one of Chicago's most mysterious and revered characters, the story of Gemini, aka Spencer Kincy has become something of a myth in recent years - blazing a trail throughout the 90's, prolifically releasing over 200 tracks from 1994 to 1999, Spencer's music had shades innovation and soul few of his peers could match. Then, suddenly, at the peak of his career, he disappeared.

* As before, this album has been licensed directly from the man himself, and the money made from its exploitation will go directly to him.

We are proud to present the first record of the Data Flow imprint, a hand-stamped, white label series.

For the first release label head Lewis steps up with Micro Wave EP, named after his beloved Waldorf Micro Wave xt. He showcases his signature sound consisting of four original dancefloor- ready tracks
.

The A-side opens up with trippy, delayed synths textures, rolling bass, keeping us locked in, and classic 909 drums. A2 we get more stripped back grooves with playful percussion and a chunky Moog style bass and a vocal sample that keeps on giving.

On the flip side, B1 comes in hard with a peak-time techno bleeper with glitchy percussion. He rounds off the EP with laid-back vibes, providing us with lush pads, dynamic and breaky drums, and a lovely stuttered trance pad arriving on the breakdown for that perfect after-hours moment.

Chicago Basement Trax flexes its muscles and enlisted the services of one Chicago's Crown jewels of the Underground in the form of one Mr. Jordan Fields. Apparently only deep connections in the scene or a history of teenage friendship yields you access to this sort of Magic on vinyl! Nothing but Pure authentic 1980s + a bonus disco dub! Wow! Surely at this point Chicago Basement Trax is looking to reenforce their mythology while also stating the obvious. No doubt this is the pure uncut raw from the man with the plan himself so let's see who wants to see the Provenance now Want to trip more Rumour has it Vincent Floyd is coming next. Do what needs to be done and get this now.

BUD Records is back in action with the new housy "black series".
Produced by well known veteran Dj and vinyl collector Kosmiko and our beloved
Jellyfish, Inglorious Trax Ep is an excursion into the deep roots of Chicago and
Detroit sound.
Two groovin dancefloor trax, and an incredible Detroit deepness trip ft. Mowdee. A
must have for all house conoissieurs.

After a 4 year hiatus, Nation return to the vinyl world with their essential qty pressing / strictly 'no repress' policy firmly in place.

A label designed to “Going Out” while “Holding The Lifeline”. Invocations of modern musical practice in the course of hypnotism in which each improvisation unreels in a mixture of a fanciful flight and a solid “Always There” beat.

Modern Analysis is a new alias project for this their debut 12”. The duo was driven by these times of change and transformation in our world where we feel odd, lost or alienated. Lives have been lost, which has been greatly emotional for humanity. Everyone has a limited time on this planet and nothing stays the same - everything is in constant change.

Side A:
“Proto Rhythm I”
"...A story of friendship, truth, soul, joy, tears, blood, sweat and love
that has only grown stronger through the years that has now
manifested into this musical creation...dedicated to our respective loves,
Camille n Vicki Vale."

More than 2 years after his great remix of Atnarko's Solid Ground, we finally have the debut EP from Nacho Marco on Lazy Days. Nacho is a good friend and collaborator or ours. He runs his Loudeast label out of Valencia in Spain. He recently released a Frederico Y Alvaro EP (Fred Everything and Al Velilla). A prolific producer/remixer, Nacho keeps his hands busy in the studio with countless releases on labels like Freerange, Muak, Pacha & Om Records to name but a few. On this EP, Nacho showcases 2 sides of his production. Motion, with its slower tempo, flirts with the world of Deep Disco while The Right Key takes us back to basic House with its early Detroit Techno influence.
On the remix, our old friend Mazi (Audio Soul Project) delivers a Chez Damier influenced groove, taking elements of the original and bringing an old warehouse vibe to it. The remix was bounced back from Chicago to San Francisco for a few final touches, mixing and editing at the Lazy Days HQ.Early support from : Agoria, Jimpster, Roberto Rodriguez, Giom, Johnny Fiasco, Luke Solomon, Mark Farina, Motorcity Soul...

The more rice label reconvenes for a third course. This time

Belgian producer and owner of Entrepot Records, UC Beatz, is the next artist to appear on the San Jose label, Roundabout Sounds. Coming out on vinyl only, the La Nuit EP features some sublime house, including my favourite track on the ep, Alta Paper, and a remix of the title track by Jeremiah of Grow! Records out of Vienna. Roundabout Sounds which is now up to release number 14 with this ep, is the label run by Joe 'Babylon' Marougi, co-founder of Plug Research. Mysterious stuff in numbered hand-stamped sleeve

Unreleased music, stored over a decade, now's the time to get it out, whilst we're still alive.

Delroy Edwards keeps the old school fire burning, returning to L.I.E.S. with a new 8 track lp titled "Slap Happy". Once again this is back to basics, no punches pulled Chicago House worship, hitting all ends of the dance specturm. Sparse beat tracks, 80s synth stabs, 727 latin percussion...the elements are all there and put together in perfect form...many try but few can execute the vintage sound like this. What may even be Edward's most mature release, it comes in a time when the roots of dance music have been forgotten to the grotesque trends of the day. This is a reminder of why we were drawn to this music in the first place and what it can sound like.

BLACK BONES once again making full use of their quarrying skills, with another fine excavation...

Not a cm of precious vinyl wasted as we get another indispensable 4-tracker turning up Bayou Funk, 80's Spanish pop, a classic mid-80's UK hit (that was bigger in Chicago's burgeoning House scene than it was in Soho), and winding up with a wonderfully sordid slab of early 90's Weatherall channeling psychedelia...

Limited, hand-stamped vinyl 12"

After the successful first volume of their split collection, Lucretio
and Marieu a.k.a. The Analogue Cops come back on Memento with a
breathtaking four tracks E.P..
Lucretio delivers two cuts written and produced with the extraordinary
Kyma workstation: “Ghetto Stab” is an heavy DanceMania influenced
party banger while “Any Idea” is a deep techno journey into the realms of spectral manipulation.
Marieu brings in all the hardware horsepower romanticism with “Tab and Rub” and “The Restored Text”; the first being acid excursion into the memories of the earl From days, the second interpolating massive kick drums and saturated harmonics with frantic vocal samples.
A record not to be missed!

Supported by: Rhadoo, Ame (Kristian), Dj Ralf, Marco Faraone, Arnaud Le Texier, Ilario Alicante, The Wasp, Shlomi Aber, Richie Hawtin, Joseph Capriati, Maceo Plex, Marco Carola, Francesco Farfa..

RAWAX is very proud to present the 4th release from the "Paul Johnson Traxx Series" on Chiwax!
We're celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Paul's legendary album "The Other Side Of Me"!

Whoever loves Disciplina, loves Knowledge (Solomon. Proverbs 12:1) Joyfull Family is back on wax with the voice of Mike Anderson:"Arrange me" is an old school jacking track with remixes from Jamie Anderson (Artform, Cocoon. Rekids. Dessous),
Takuya Yamashita (Cadenza, Outpost), Melchior Sultana (12 Records, Minuendo, Underground Quality)

After an amazing duo of vinyl releases from Jordan Fields and Vincent Floyd, Chicago Basement Trax keeps banging out the jams! The Boxed Out EP sports another lost tape from Jordan Fields with Oriental. No fake added noise here from this original 80's synth and drum machine creation just more uncut raw from JF's archive that seems to have no end!! Check out more old school and acid by jack Jeremy Williams, Italy's Giuseppe Gatti and Paris underground pushers Wondernature! Massive EP!

This is the second instalment on Richard Davis’s Repeat series!
The green edition is a real treat for all the minimal and deep house fans. Opening up are 2 extremely rare tracks from the Junkie Sartre back catalogue. Secret weapons that changing hands for high prices on Discogs. Alternation on the B2 is a never released before track from the same era - Gold!

Out of control hot tracks provided on the 3rd ep from Chicago Basement Trax! This vinyl has it all featuring the 1992 style that influenced Jeremy Underground Paris to create MLIU as well as 1980s Trax reminiscent of artists like Mike Dunn or Steve Poindexter. At that point we'd be happy but there is even more included for the disco edit and dub crowd. You can't go wrong with this EP!

We don't know, whether this guy is sleeping at all. He just released a new EP under his RAR moniker. He seems to be nonstop
assembling and fiddling on some delay pedals and what not. Let alone all the touring. And then he comes up with a KM022, that sets
directives and also lives up to them, as if it was nothing.
'Keep House' is the agenda on A1 and everyone who shrugs now about what the house should be kept like - clean (), tidy (),
locked () - should be taken to the next dancefloor by this joint. Of course we're talking genre-aligned maintaining-mentality here. It
needs to be House and it needs to be House forever - what else When Rampa offers his service to the art form, you can expect a bit
more than the usual 808-knitting pattern or jingling preset-piano. He approaches his mandate with a trademark percussive dryness
and generous bass-embrace in the kick-range. He slips in little sound-anomalies and weirded out effectrides like Brad Pitt smuggled
subliminal dick-pics into 'Fight Club'. And by building up a more than mighty groove, he lands on a constitution of House Music that
for sure can be behold as state of the art.
Side B, running under the name of 'Chai Jen Jen' is aiming for some slighty deeper realms. Inbetween sample-postcards from last
Thailand-break (many of the samples and the vocals were field recorded on Chatuchak Market in Bangkok), synth-variations and
snare-slaps, it is first and foremost this organmotive in the centre section that will cause self-indulgent trance rapture over whole
heated up floor-populations.

3rd release on Factory Music Chicago comes from the legend Dj Deeon and label owner Traxman himself. Both presents 2 banger each on this split ep called "Da Disco Tekk" EP. Highly recommended and out in March 2020!

AGT Records is back, just in time for Spring. Legend has it that the mysterious Hansel J. Tripwire was locked away at the abandoned Riverview Mental Hospital with nothing but a typewriter, a calculator and a Commodore 64 computer for company. ‘Sounds from the Sanitarium’ is the soundtrack to the party he had.

On the A, an urgent bassline propels the track forwards, balanced by glitchey samples that shoot around crisp percussion. The B is the funkier of the two, with a similarly chunky bassline providing the backdrop for shuffling high-hats and robotic synths to spiral above.

The EP is both menacing and playful, and is sure to cause some seriously wiggy peak-time and after-hours moments. AGT Records is rescuing this weapon from the vaults, all in good time.

This new Chicago based label is runned by Steve Poindexter and Traxman. The first release comes also from the label heads.
Track A2. is an remarkeble co-production between Steve Poindexter and legendary Armando. On B2. Traxman remixed Armandos "Snare yo Azz off".
Must have - not only for all Chicago House fans!

RAWAX proudly welcomes Julien Sandre & Mennie to the family!
Both deliver a fantastic debut on HOUSEWAX!
