It’s time for a new Reinhard Voigt EP on Kompakt? It doesn’t feel like it was that long ago since we last heard from him but then again, time is running! His latest release on Kompakt "Was wir spüren" (KOM 402) was released in May 2019. From there we encountered Reinhard's musical work mainly in the form of various digital reissues or in union with his brother Wolfgang together as Voigt & Voigt. Then in August of 2021, a glimmer of musical life from Reinhard reached his loyal fans in the form of a continuation of his RV ultra-minimalist concept series as "RV 05 / RV 06" via our KX imprint.

So that brings us to the present. Two new tracks that preach and spin on the classic Reinhard Voigt sound. Tracks that are as relentless as they are consistent to his signature stoic, radical, minimal techno. "Cha Cha Club" creaks and stomps along so mercilessly that they leave us impatient for the reopening of a dark, foggy club room and to have the bitter taste of gin and chemicals on our palates. Bass drum in, bass drum out - sometimes that's all it takes to be happy.

With "Die Frau, die nach Deutz ging" Reinhard discloses a small tale in the title...that this is the continuation of "Der Mann, der nie nach Deutz kam", a track from “Was wir spüren”. Elements recall Reinhard Voigt's SPEICHER tracks; sovereign, modern techno, monotonous in principle, but here and there interrupted and structured by unexpected signals and sounds in such a way that the track will also work on larger dance floors.

Eine reguläre, brandneue Reinhard Voigt 12inch? Das ist nicht nur gefühlt schon eine ganze Weile her. Time ist ja bekanntlich running. Seit “Was wir spüren” (KOM 402), erschienen im Mai 2019, begegnete uns Reinhards musikalisches Schaffen vor allem in Form diverser digitaler Wiederveröffentlichungen oder im Duett mit seinem Bruder Wolfgang als Voigt & Voigt. Im August letzten Jahres erreichte die treue Fangemeinde dann wenigstens ein kleines Lebenszeichen in Form der “RV 05 / RV 06”, der Fortsetzung seiner ultra-minimalistischen Konzeptreihe auf KX.

Nun also zwei neue Tracks, die so unerbittlich wie konsequent den klassischen Reinhard Voigt-Sound predigen und weiterspinnen – stoisch, radikal, minimal. “Cha Cha Club” knarzt und stampft dabei so gnadenlos voran, dass wir die Wiedereröffnung von geschlossenen Räumen voller Nebel und Dunkelheit und mit dem bitteren Geschmack von Gin und Chemikalien an unseren Gaumen kaum erwarten können. Bassdrum rein, Bassdrum raus, mehr braucht es manchmal nicht zum glücklich sein.

Mit “Die Frau, die nach Deutz ging” erzählt uns Reinhard zumindest im Titel die Fortsetzung von “Der Mann, der nie nach Deutz kam”, einem Track von “Was wir spüren”. Hier erinnert manches an Voigts SPEICHER-Tracks, souveräner, moderner Techno, vom Grundsatz her monoton, aber hier und da von unerwarteten Signalen und Tönen so unterbrochen und strukturiert, dass er auch auf größeren Tanzflächen funktioniert.

Influential house and techno titan wAFF is branching out with his own new label, Nature. As well as donating a portion of profits to animal charities, the label will become a platform for music that in some ways heals us, just like nature itself. The innovative DJ and producer kicks it off with his own new three tracker, Colours.

You name it, wAFF has done it. The UK artist has headlined every major club and festival in the world, has released for labels like Cocoon, Hot Creations, Desolat and Moon Harbour Recordings and always brings his own flavours every time he steps out. It is now almost a decade since he broke through, so is the perfect time to start his own imprint.

Says wAFF, "There’s so much that’s happened over the past two years that I really wanted to create a platform of expression and creativity that would be meaningful not just for me but for everyone. I hope the label will be something that brings us back down to earth, to ground us. Nature is so important to me so I wanted something that felt like an extension of myself and what I care about so much. Nature, provides all life with what we need, nature heals us and that’s something I like to think of with this label. By providing the best quality of music for everyone, it can help with healing."

The stylish Colours is a taught, driving house track with slinky hi hats and rubbery drums. The monstrous bassline bobbles away down low and is sure to lock in any crowd. Django is another inventive groove, with lush claps and a knotted bassline that drives the track along beneath infectious percussion and silky smooth synths. Switchin is the most raw of the lot with its busy leads, razor sharp tech house drums and glitchy effects. Add in some turbocharged chords and you have a sleazy and standout banger.

These are three vital tunes that start off this label in fantastic fashion.

Robert Hood finally restarting his disco influenced pseudonym, Floorplan. "Living It Up" loops a disco sound while evolving with pads and synth stabs, while "Wall To Wall" takes things deeper, exploding with claps driving things in a way only the Hood can do !!!

Berlin talent Joplyn is next up on Crosstown Rebels making her debut release on the label titled We Will Forgive Ourselves featuring remixes from prolific producer MK and label-head Damian Lazarus. Serving up two remixes in the form of MK’s Dub and Damian Lazarus’ Re-Shape, it acts as another milestone release for the near twenty-year-old imprint.

We Forgive Ourselves is the perfect musical metaphor for Joplyn’s inspiration. The track opens proceedings with elegant drum pads which are paired beautifully with quaint hi-hats. A gentle, healing vocal, followed by a deep heavy bassline creates a profound juxtaposition. Galactic-like sounds fizz in and out, fusing everything together to create a real sense of utopia that truly embodies Joplyn’s vision.

Brimming with a signature MK sound right from the offset, we’re treated to six-and-a-half minutes of perfectly executed contemporary deep house. Warming, subtle and inherently groove-led, soft kicks open into Joplyn’s haunting vocal offerings before rhythmic hats coalesce alongside, forming a modern dance anthem that is sure to light up many a club setting this summer.

Damian Lazarus’ Re-Shape comes next. Shimmering with an ethereal quality, the nine-minute piece undulates between moments of spiritual bliss to pummelling, acid-laden danceability. Whirring synths help create a galactic quality, as we travel between feelings of introspection, euphoria and everything in between.

Back on the Riotvan with the third installment already, it is the ever on point Llewellyn, still being the more extroverted Synth/Wave/NeoDisco-alter ego of Lake People - that just as a minor gloss for those who've been living under a rock over the last years. On "These Days" we see him further elaborate his distinctive signature sound, more than ever brimming with confidence and splendour.

Logic1000 is Sydney-born producer and DJ Samantha Poulter. After the release of her eponymous debut EP on Melbourne’s Sumac label, her music has made it into the sets of Four Tet, Caribou, Ben UFO, Floating Points, DJ Python and Anthony Naples amongst many others. Now based in London, Logic1000 has already performed in some of UK's best clubs including Printworks (w/ Carl Craig, Larry Heard, Moodyman), Phonox (w/ Mount Kimbie), Bristol’s Motion (w/ Four Tet) and Corsica Studios (w/ DJ Python).
Following the (proper) release of her eponymous EP on vinyle earlier this year, Logic1000 comes back with 2 brand new tracks available only as a very limited white label vinyl edition.

Celebrating our tenth release, First Cut delivers the label’s first split release. Like the arbitrary scheduling of our hometown Dublin’s bus system, it took a while for these tracks to appear – and then they all came at once!

Tr One drops ‘Fold’, a rousing house track, led by insistent piano keys and tough drums, while on ‘Crash2’, Lerosa delivers a wonderfully sub-aquatic electro-techno jam. Bringing the listener back to earth with a driving bass and powerful rhythm is Giles Armstrong’s ‘Deep is For Dopes!’

His interest in techno/house electronic music begins 1993. Rich clubbing experience gave him a chance to start his own production. Main source of quality electronic music were clubs and guest Djs mostly here in Zagreb. After gathering all styles together DAV came up with sound that is based on tech-house & deep-tech style influence. Background of 80's electronic music is also present in his work. As a dj he played in many Croatian & Slovenian clubs with his basic tech-house style, playing only his production . Finally in 2001 he signs for his first release in London and many of them followed. He is also a member of «Stereo Studio» crew here in Zagreb, which is the strongest promoting organisation here in Croatia. Many strong djs were included in those big «Stereo Studio» parties that he played with , like : Terry Francis, Asad Rizvi, Grant Dell, Eddie Richards, Gideon Jackson, Richard Grey, Get Fucked, Pure Science, Ian Pooley, Felver, Omar...

Spaced Repetitions is the brand-new label by veteran producer Manuel Tur. Following his most recent releases on Running Back and Lossless, the German digs deeper on the “Alphalpha EP”, fusing hints of sampled house grooves and bleepy techno synth work. O.D.D., Modini and Casio Royale team up to wreck clubs across the galaxy! I glanced at the wrinkles on my hands as they worked the controls on landing pod. I'd aged considerably since we left Earth to track the alien. Taking an extremely dangerous short cut via the rim of a black hole allowed me to get to the outer regions of the universe before I turned geriatric and was too decrepit to navigate the ship. Now, as we approached Planet Simila, excitement burned within me. It wasn't just about meeting an extra-terrestrial, I was lonely. It had been many years since I'd spoken to anyone other than the ship's computer and here I was about to meet the first known life form outside our planet. I bumped the pod down on the terra firma as gracefully as I could. Intel confirmed Simila had an almost identical atmosphere to earth and that I'd be able to breathe on it unaided. However, precautious as always, I put the large dome shaped breathing apparatus over my head and pulled on the silver safety suit. I took my first step out of a spaceship in 14 years and there it was only yards away from me; a small green creature with large white goggle eyes on the end of two spindly antennas. If you'd asked a 5-year-old earthling to draw a spaceman it would have looked exactly like the thing stood before me. I had no idea whether it could comprehend English or not but nerves made me blurt out: 'Greetings from Planet Earth, I have travelled many light years to meet you, I...

The new EP ‘Changes’ marks the follow-up to acclaimed 2020 EP ‘Walking Away’ Tapping into the trademark Mind Against sound, title track ‘Changes’ combines rich melodies, fleeting vocal samples and fluttering synths, delivering a graceful electronic creation that’s steeped in otherworldly emotion. On the flipside, ‘Closer’ is characterised by its stunning breakdowns and delicate piano chords.

Drawing from IDM, house and techno, Italy-born, Berlin-based duo Mind Against have previously expressed their emotive, psychedelic sound on labels such as Hotflush or the Life and Death imprint. Their unique DJ sets, often performed in many of the world's best venues, create a special kind of feeling in the club, at once uplifting, dark, driving and melodic.

‘Changes’ ensure Mind Against continue with their streak of releasing captivating dance music on Afterlife.

Neapolitan producer Partenope certainly wears a big Underground Resistance influence on his sleeve in the case of 'Odysseia' - it's even mentioned in the press release, and we're not going to argue either. But it's no bad thing, especially as it's a general love of the soulful, uplifting, musical end of the techno scale rather than a creative plunder of any UR track in particular. The label has pulled out the big guns with a Gerd Janson remix to accompany it too, and Janson certainly warm acid trance

London-based Bread And Butter Recordings is back to serving the goods, this time with a tasty number by the always-in-shape Silat Beksi. The entitled "Special Edition" EP is the first-ever solo EP on the label, and follows four successful VA compilations that have hosted Sublee,DoubtingThomas,Costin Rp, Herck, Miroloja, Macarie, and Direkt to name a few.

Opening the games, "Just Play It!" hits hard and clean with its crispy percussions, gnarly sounds, and hefty short pads that really give a floating touch. As soon as the track goes, some bongos and extra hi-hats appear, all together into a delightful ever-evolving groove.

A2 "Hero Suit" features fluffy chords that get reverberated throughout the track, flying over a sexy and engaging bassline and tight drum patterns. Fairytale synths and overprocessed vocals join the symphony, making this one a lovely dancefloor roller.

Closing the BR005, "Jungle Meditation" sticks to its name, with the Ukrainian artist relying on his signature groovy signature sound, which this time focuses on more hypnotic moods that interlock sharply in an unpredictable or volatile manner. Proper B-side, late-night affairs.

The next two courses - BR006 & BR007 - are on the way and they will not stop surprising you. A unique and delicious sound for refined palates.

Tommy Farrow has been making waves ever since his breakout single, 'Let's Just', caught the eye of Radio 1 tastemakers. His emotive, trancelike tracks, evoking influences like Bicep, have been instant hits. Joining the Classic Cuts series, Forever EP is his debut on Shall Not Fade.

'Forever' features rising star vocalist Clementine Douglas, her sultry lines coasting over melancholy chords before casting off into high drama breaks and synth melodies. Serving up 4 slices of tech’d out wiggle, melding: techno, minimal, electro, and a splash of noxious chemicals, the Anxiety Bar EP comprises a variety of heavyweight d-floor weapons.

Threat Level Midnight blends a combo of idiosyncratic drum samples with an infectious bubbling synth line, a prime example of peak-time tech-house tackle. While the title track Anxiety Bar takes a dark, moody, almost gothic turn, seriously phat bass for seriously phat systems.

On the B, Integrated Lizard People slithers and slinks about gurgling synth lines and features unsettling reptilian almost-vocal sounds. Serving as a high-class closer, Fermented Feelings reigns in the trip with satisfying electro-ish drums,

With his new release “Lautverschiebung”, MasCon sets a statement for the underground dancefloor. Prepare yourself for a genuine techno rave. It’s something for big halls, tall walls and a strong crowd. Referring to the title, in the style of a consonant shift (German: Lautverschiebung) he reinterprets classic beats and creates a new shape of sound. His tracks live on a resolute pace combined with noisy overlays and more or less accentuated hi-hats, which in total create a thrilling atmosphere – perfectly fitted for big city club nights.

u.dig makes a heavy return with Paradigms, the first edition of Various Artist series with some of the label mainstays such as Alexis Cabrera and Mariano Mateljan, as well as new additions to the label family; Masa, Jake Flory and Madezh.

Lion & Lamb is of course the unlikely but cult pub in London that plays hosts to some of the underground's best DJs on a sporadic basis. After a few years of special events there it has recently branched out to come a label. After a fine various artists debut it follows suit with a second featuring electro don Radioactive Man whose 'Golden Mane' is deep and bleepy minimal electro classic. Fat Svelte offers a groggy late night number, Thoma Bulwer's 'Proper Wiggelr' is just that and Silverlining closes with a fresh tech house pumper.

Navidu Music readies up some real club sizzlers with Yaroslav Lenzyak ”Weekends Friends EP”. This outing from the Ukrainian heavy lifter is charged with rolling bass grooves, blissed-out synth programming and wonky, signature glitch detail, all sure to reign in your summer season. Act fast.

Here comes the second release from Dubphone’s new vinyl imprint Seve17een. This time round we welcome August Artier to the family. The Indigo EP by August delivers two dance floor driven tracks in the company of two remixes by artists Giorgio Maulini and label head Dubphone. The 4 track EP brings a variety of sounds from more Deep house and acid to a deeper raw minimal vibe. There has been some attention lately in August with key releases on Get Physical, Kindish and his recent Kisetsu Series with 4 EP’s signed to the legendary RAWAX label. Plus his Artier Dubs series on Bandcamp focused on a more dubby side of electronic music. Currently interviewed by DJ Mag España to know a bit more about all future projects as the future is looking bright for our Australian born Ibizan based artist. His 10-year running Ibizaglobalradio show, residency at Ushuaia Tower and the legendary Hostal la Torre Ibiza all play a role to inspire this artist and his productions.

Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records presents a landmark EP of original music by Dea - a legendary Indonesian DJ and artist who counts DJ Harvey, Mr. Scruff and Gilles Peterson (who famously claimed that Dea was the best DJ he’d seen in a decade after watching him spin in 2017) among his admirers.

Making his name in Indonesia’s Sun Down Circle collective, Dea has gone from one of his country’s best-kept secrets to one of the world’s most respected diggers and DJs. His EP for Gudu is his most extensive collection of solo music yet, backed with a transcendent remix by I:Cube - the few-more-acclaimed French artist famed for trading remixes with Daft Punk in the 90s and decades of brilliant solo music since.

Besides being a school teacher, a dedicated dj, a label boss and a party organiser, Utrecht’s most famous fluo-raver Freek Fabricius also started producing a few years back. It’s hard to believe that Lost My Controller actually is Fabricius’ debut EP. So matured and full of character do the six tracks on this release sound. With a touch of vintage electro and the melancholic side of IDM, yet with a unique sound of its own. Lost My Controller has Fabricius’ trademark tongue-in-cheek puns, like the videogame frustration in the title track, a sweet hybrid of Dopplereffekt-basslines and AFX-infused melodies. Or on the aptly titled Pigs Are Here, where a stomping kick and gloomy synth set the pace. Halfway through we suddenly receive a ‘breaking news message’ about an illegal rave somewhere on the shores of northern England, complete with an eye witness report. Images of running ravers immediately pop up. Fabricius does not hide his admiration for Richard D. James on Lost My Controller. On the contrary. He cultivates it and makes it his own. ‘Aphex Twin is one of the few artists that can make me cry’, he once said in an interview. He meant it. Lost My Controller has some beautiful intimate moments, like the sampled rain on his attic window during ‘Zolderraam’ or the rolling closing track ‘Mother’. In which a vintage Underworld- esque beat gently rubs against Laurie Anderson’s legs. Freek’s EP is joint release between SoHaSo and Marguerita Recordings, the label run by fellow Utrecht dweller Cosmic Force. They couldn’t have wished for a better debut record.

DWAALs milestone fifth release is curated by Romanian duo LOy with three tracks destined for the dance floor. Whilst Giuliano Lomonte puts his stamp on Simple Cues to complete the release.

After relocating from California at 7 years old, Nasser grew up in a musical environment in New Jersey. Surrounded by gifted artists from an early age, Nasser was fed a diet of authentic 70's Soul, 80's pop and 90's Hip Hop and R&B, which all influenced the spirit of his music and his trademark big production. At only 24 years old Nasser displays real musical maturity and a subterranean fearlessness in his productions. Mentored by house music master Dennis Ferrer, Nasser has released three EP's and on the indispensible Objektivity label, as well as remixing Dennis' iconic Son of Raw in 2017. His 'Gramercy EP' on Suara revealed Nasser's more techier side, exposing his wider abilities. His most recent release on Objektivity, the 'Just Like That EP', dropped in summer 2017, in tune with his first Ibiza season. (as a part of Dennis Ferrer's Misfits Society crew, a residency he continues in 2018...) Here Nasser debuts on Circus Recordings with his first full, self penned, and part sung, vocal single, combined with a intergalactic techno b side that is absolutely not to be skipped over. Say Something was instantly snapped up by Yousef after an early demo was sent to the label owner earlier this year. Big, nasty & pin sharp drums carry the original vocal throughout the track, as a playful narrative parties & dances throughout. Vocal hook after vocal hook interchange as the slamming 909 drums persist. As Yousef said, there is simply nothing else quite like it right now, and as Pete Tong said it's the best vocal record he has heard in many years, confirmed an Essential New Tune on the spot... This Years bigger than prince.. we think so too

Longstanding house duo Prok | Fitch make a much-anticipated debut on Hot Creations with Tease. The two-track EP sees them collaborate with London vocalist Kyozo and continues a stunning 2020 that has seen them release on Repopulate Mars and Solid Grooves already this year.

That natural connection is clear from the start, as the straight-up Tease Feat. Kyozo quickly gets the EP underway. A swinging 4x4 bassline powers alongside punchy drums, before Kyozo’s lyrical solo adds an infectious energy to the track’s choppy underlying rhythm. Smack showcases a stripped-back, dubby approach as rounded kicks blend into minimal-leaning bleeps, whilst an echoing vocal repeats “smack” to take us straight through to peak-time dancing territory. One of contemporary house music’s most-established pairings, Prok | Fitch continue to carve out an impressive standing in the electronic music sphere.

Butch returns on his OTHERSIDE imprint this February alongside C.Vogt on the deep and hypnotic Parallels.

Inspired by Call Super, the EP also features two contrasting remixes from Delaphine label boss S.A.M. and the unmistakable Skudge.

Parallels opens the EP, a typically mind-bending rhythm develops with intricate layers of percussion, as a meditative and eerie melody ebbs and flows, leaving you both hooked and perplexed in equal measure. Mandar member S.A.M. turns his hand to the first remix, morphing the original into his style with dreamy, glowing synth that washes over an acid-tinged bassline. Finally, Skudge up the ante, crafting a loopy techno remix that features driving hi-hats and their trademark curious stabs that nod to the warehouse and create a smouldering atmosphere.

Dynamic wizard Butch heads up his vinyl imprint OTHERSIDE, a label he has badged as an outlet for “a soaring heart and a flying mind”. The label has steadily released mesmerising contributions so far from Marcel Janovsky and Bartaub alongside collaborations from Butch himself with Hohberg and a special partnership with minimal legend Ricardo Villalobos entitled ButRic. 2020 will see another exciting ButRic release as Butch and OTHERSIDE continue to both intrigue and amaze audiences with outstanding music and select residencies.

The S.A.M. sound has been characterised as cosmic, trippy, psychedelic and groovy. Managing three record labels: Delaphine, Dahlia and Oscillat Music, he releases his productions as well as music from artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Mandar, Butch and Matthew Dekay. The Skudge universe has come a long way from the anonymous beginnings to world-wide recognition through Skudge Records, Skudge Presents and Skudge White labels. Starting as a duo in 2009, the project is now a solo effort and continues with high-quality outputs and live sets.

FLAWEd records kick off their brand new label with an ep from talented American producer Cool & Frank. Contacts In The Unseen World delivers four wonked out, topsy-turvy club ready cuts showcasing the main man's signature sound. Get them while they’re hot.

For this edition we have the huge pleasure to bring you an exclusive and vary selection of remixes with the Kaddara Remixes EP. In the A side we have an outstanding work made by the incredibly talented Romanian producer Herck, who managed to create a phenomenal full sided hypnotic run full textures and character. In the B side we bring you the well-known French producer Ben Vedren with a modern techno approach for his remix and last, but not least, we have Vinyl Speed Adjust remix going with a more melodic and rhythmic approach than the original, creating a fantastic piece with solid low-end construction.

The Detroit - Berlin Connection!

After 6 years of releasing music digitally, Heat Up Music announces it’s first vinyl series launching mid September. Starting things off is Etur Usheo, Heat Up Resident and young German talented producer, who is presenting his 4 track EP entitled: “Heavy Tangled”, a release that will appeal to all DJs in love with all the shades of Deep House. On the A side, “Another Day” Etur starts the journey with heavy deep pads, stabs fitting with low end heat that is topped off by its catchy vocal hook. “Can’t Go Wrong” will take you to a deeper and more nostalgy-esque feeling that will carry your audience to a dream-like state while the repeated soul and emotion packed vocal proclaims that it cannot go on. On the flip side, where the notorious Heat Up Flame will be twirling around, “Bottleneck Music” shows why Etur has everything in his arsenal of tricks to make it to the big stage. This is a stomper instrumental featuring some jazzy and off gridded drum sequencing, neat delirious synths accompanied by funky arpeggiated licks. Of course, another great choice of vocal that adds to this heavy impact track. Last but not least, and probably one of our favourites on the record, is “desire”, a track that will make you shiver when the piano chords hit your eardrums and the funky guitar jam fills the spectrum of the song. Movie soundtrack like, this track brings all sorts of emotions that will not only move a crowd, but motivate any DJ performing it.

After huge releases on big labels like Apollonia, Rawax and many others iO (Mulen) is back to his main label dropping a big LP. The "Lucky Fish" album consists of three different vinyls full of killer grooves: between smooth deep house and techy bangers, cooked in unique iO (Mulen) style. These cuts were tested on dance floors around the world for a long time, so now we have no doubt that all of them are lethal weapons for any set. Hurry up, it's limited and of course vinyl only as always.

For first release we present a four original track EP by Iwou, a super talented crew from Italy. With a fresh sound from underground “Talking Jazz” EP varies between dark and groovy to softer vocal based music. Something for dancefloor or Sunday listening session. With this 4 analog & Modular composition of tracks Iwou represents our label direction and take on stripped back sound.

Classic italo house EP produced in 1991 by Ivan Iacobucci under the moniker of KGB, now out on vinyl including a new unreleased remix.

"Way back in the 1990s, Mark Hand, Neil Iceton & Jez Nicholl channelled their love of sci-fi-fired Motor City techno into a string of inspired releases under the alias Cubic Space Collective.

After reuniting for a memorable machine jam at Freerotation festival in 2016, Hand & Iceton headed back into the studio for a one-off session and recorded 'Holiday in Beta Centauri', a musical love letter to Mad Mike and the rest of Detroit's most militant futurist techno crew.

Sending us surging skywards via 'Binary System', where lilting lead lines, fizzing electronics and enveloping chords dance atop a snappy, cymbal-heavy drum machine rhythm, before 'Arps in Hyperspace' sees them step things up a notch via layered waves of synths, sparkling melodies and a driving, hyper-speed groove.

The North-East-based twosome then attempt to warm us to the core in the shape of 'Rigil': restless organ stabs, undulating Michigan bass, alien electronics, psychedelic acid lines and Galaxy 2 Galaxy style chords catching the ear. Bringing us gently back down to earth, they complete their deep space mission with 'Beyond The Nebula (Holiday in Beta Centauri)', a bustling electro number full of stabbing analogue bass, star-burst electronics, meditative ambient chords that shimmer full of night-sky melodies.

A fine return to action for this Teesside UR-loving techno twosome... 3,167 miles away in Detroit, their achievement will be noted."

HEDONISM, WHAT ELSE
As the definition goes: Hedonism is a believe that argues that pursuing pleasure and intrinsic goods are the primary goals of human life. Following that rule, with his new release on Snork Enterprises, Mathias Schaffhäuser has created something exceptionally pleasurable – not just only for him, but for every music lover.
Virtuously, he blends electronica sounds, ambient vibes with acid house and jazz elements. The result is as experimental as outstanding. It’s a truly artistic new album with eight tracks, each of which you would not expect but which lives up to its entertaining promise. As hedonism strives to maximize pleasure, the album strives to enrich your musical horizon. At the same time, it contains huge club potential and provides a welcome ear-catcher to every inspiring DJ set. So, we’d say: Snork #101, what else!


MATHIAS SCHAFFHÄUSER
Mathias Schaffhäuser’s around in the techno, house and minimal scene since 1994 when his first House EP was released on Definitive Records. Yeah, it's 25 years ago, but creativity goes on: This year will see his new artist album „Hedonism, What Else?!“ on Snork Enterprises, the second album of his project Fanatico on Brooklyn based Hallucienda Records, new EPs on Fenou and Ware Records and several remixes. In 2018 Mathias celebrated the 20th jubilee of his label WARE with 3 releases bringing reworked and remixed Ware classics and 3 more EPs on Tiefschwarz' Souvenir Music, british label legend Third Ear and Biotop Label.

Other releases of Mathias appeared on Mo's Ferry Productions, Compost, Tic Tac Toe Rec., Force Inc., Multicolor, BluFin Records, Adjunct, WIR Recordings, Blaou Sounds and many others. In 1997 he started WARE which released 97 EPs until now (as of February 2019). 2001 saw his massive club hit "Hey Little Girl", 2002 "Musik ohne Bass" entered the clubs. In April 2005 he released his album "Coincidance", its title track was successfully remixed by Trentemøller. On his album „Unequal Equality“ (2009), Mathias collaborated with Lucy, Alex Smoke, Xhin, And.id, Benjamin Brunn and many others, and he produced remixes for Steve Bug („LoverBoy“), Luomo („Tessio“), Faust,

Schaffhäuser’s motto at the turntables is: Purism sucks! The quality of the music is what’s important, not sheer functionality and trendyness. That is: at times his sets can be rather varied from his very own style, dirty + dark house, and thumping techno. And more and more often Schaffhäuser uses his microphone and croons some evergreens to his records which is a very special live experience.

MTBF alis MIKE WALL and HAWKISON produced this EP before Mike sadly suddenly died.

Mar Sureste is a compilation album with various artists ( Arturo Hernzama, Michelle, Fede Lijtmaer, Angel) released by Ecofrequence Label.

Ecofrequence was created two years ago in Punta del Este (Uruguay) and was set up by a few friends who share a strong passion with nature, ecology and electronic music. They frequently participate in beach clean ups, which ignited their passion to bring music and ecology together.

ECOFREQUENCE is a NGO Focused on promoting beach clean ups. Every clean up session is accompanied with dj/sets from local artists during the beach sun set. This has involved into an eco/friendly (Record) Label and its profit will be reinvested in continuing their vision, bringing electronic music and environmental activism together.

Mar Sureste means Southeast Swell which comes to the coast of Uruguay Bringing to us great wave conditions and crystalline warm water, which is both good for marine flora and fauna.

We are proud to present a hidden gem producer from Los Angeles, California scene. A talent that raises his hand in a forceful way with this release. Orlando Valencia aka Volen who has brought his highly energetic, raw and intergalactic sounds to the label and for the first time releasing his music on wax. Kreisless first release kicks off with four minutely worked tracks by Berlin based artist Goris Lecker. A trip through acid sounds synth melodies, energetic rhythms along with deep enticing atmospheres. Starting with Nonsaude, a prominent breakbeat enriched by a subtly distorted bass and an euphoric stab. Followed by Frust switching to a dark late-night mood where techno sounds hoard the track. On the B side jazzy Rhodes chords show up with Donin where a hypnotic 303 synth loop takes the lead. Ceibo culminates the record with a sound journey of melodies and effects.

A sterling name within minimal house & techno, that has been bubbling on the horizon throughout 2017, with headline appearances including Fabric's main room as part of
WetYourSelf!, Rhymos' 'Seizure' EP sets ablaze with the rolling subline of the title track,
that is accompanied by shimmering hats, that are intertwined with intermittent fx and synth licks throughout. 'Mi Casa Su Casa' provides the perfect B-side, a more rough and ready approach that is mixed with ambient pads and spaced out stabs in the breakdown, which break the track up nicely.
True to form, Ben provides a deeper touch to 'Mi Casa Su Casa', while still maintaining its dancefloor credibility. Glistening highs hypnotic pads and minimal trademark glitch ,
blissful chords and delayed vocals permeate Ben's remix ,
stripping the the track back to just its rumbling low end and drums after the break ensures the track slams and will whip even larger floors into a frenzy.

There's something special about old friends making music together.
Weleli, originally released by Victor Diawara under his latest project
Afrodelic, carries a deep and very personal story. It speaks of loss,
crucial life decisions and paying tribute to one's roots. But like every
great story, it doesn't stop with simply being told. And this EP offers
four new versions of Weleli, interpreted and narrated by a good friend
of Victor, Ten Walls.

It opens with Remake that maintains the reverie and a certain
melancholic peacefulness of the original. Featuring electric guitar,
bass and synths, along with ngoni, balafon and the Malian children
choir, it stays true to the original Afrodelic style: a mix of African
and electronic music. The following Acoustic Edit is the most serene
take on the song of them all. It's a stripped-down version dedicated to
highlight and give space for the vocals, traditional instruments and
percussive elements.

Remixes are without a doubt pieces of Ten Walls creation. The mood
changes quite a bit to a colder and much more aggressive vibe. The
faster tempo and heavy synths give the African elements almost a tribal color, instantly making the song even more danceable. Remixes is where the song truly shines in new light, making it a true collaboration combining the talent of both musicians.

Instinct remains at the forefront of the UK garage scene as we roll into 2022 thanks to more heat like this from Main Phase. He follows up standout tunes on the likes of Time Is Now, Dansu Discs and Lost City Archives with his most complete statement yet. Opener 'Treat Me Right' is a lively stepper with lush hits and a wobbling bottom end. 'Whale Dub' gets darker and more stripped back but swings just as infectiously, then 'Nuff' layers up brain-melting bass with rude vocals and 'OG' ups the energy with a pumping old school sound and plenty of characterful details. There is more retro garage gold on closer 'Body' to make this a hugely useful EP.

Vordergrundmusik's head honcho re:deep kicks off the Vertigo remix series with his interpretation of Aural Drift. He gives the track a whole new vibe by adding a lively beat and garnishing it with restrained sounds and beautiful harmonies. An oh so cozy affair!

The second installation is of no other than one of Shitkatapult's labelfounders, T.Raumschmiere.
Keeping the vibe of the original whilst spicing it up with effectful and driving elements. An energetic 135 bpm madness to go wild to!

In between the striking synth jabs and arcane vocals of Back to Life, Rittik Wystup spins a net of sharp, crackly drums and fondle, almost trickling piano tones. His elation to combining electronic and acoustic spaces is mirrored throughout the rework, echoing his own unique sound note by note.

Last but not least, we are very delighted to have the german powerduo Extrawelt on the remix duties. The Cluster Buster version takes the original on a dark and imposing journey of huge 808s, raw synths and celestial widescreen pads. Turning it into a sturdy yet cinematic beast of an electro tune. While the Laser Blazer Remix takes things to a whole new level. Ever since Extrawelt started playing this version in their live sets, people have been going absolutely nuts! As the title already suggests, an absolute highlight and surely one for the books!
