From his cult project “Chaser” in the 90’s with Lars Sandberg aka Funk D’void or releasing massive hit records under his own name and other aliases, globetrotting the world during years in consequence and securing residencies at places like Sub Club, The Arches, The Tunnel or Space Ibiza back in the days, Nigel Hayes has truly done it all and did it good but he seems to continue to do so, “Tribal Warfare” EP is just the proof of that.
We are really happy to welcome this essential UK producer to the label roster and we hope you enjoy this record as much as we did.
House Novedades
For over 3 decades, Orlando Voorn has been a force in dance music like few others. One of the first Dutch producers to establish a connection between Detroit and Amsterdam (check “Game One” his collaboration with Juan Atkins for Metroplex). He has recorded under a trove of alias that include Fix, Frequency, Format to name a few. He maintains a relentless release schedule, and we are very grateful that he found the time to make his return to Kompakt after his well received 2021 “Internal Destination” EP.
The track “So Deep” lives up to the title. A soulful vocal and sincere house beat simmer through an eerie soundscape loop. “Deeper Shades” keeps the vibe of the A Side and makes for a serene and moody deep house journey of epic proportions. Last but not least, “March Of Freedom” brings out the best of Orlando’s visionary production. Sweeping synths and sounds cascade into a momentous track that fits the peak time or in those eternal late night sets.

It's time to get to know Club Magnus, a new label that launches with Moonlight 001, a various artist collection that brings together some fresh contemporary talents across three forward thinking cuts. Jay Tripwire opens up with his scintillating tech house sounds embellished with all the usual acid and afemtparty freakiness. Magnus Asberg then keeps you on your toes with his nimble drum work and the cyborg electro funk of 'Sunset' (vs Sound Of The Suburbs) while Microman closes with the more dark, involving and intense techno convulsions of 'Inga Aviseringar'.

'We all come from childhood' - rightly observed by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. But why, sooner or later we will all go away from this beautiful country Yes, and we do accelerate that fast train, which takes away from us a fantastically bright sun, fluffy snow, laughter ... With all the magical and unusual - in full of cares and problems of the so-called "adult life".
And is it possible to change the usual scenario and take the time to say goodbye to a fairy tale
This vinyl release 'Reminder' includes three tracks, which will help to recall the many wonderful childhood moments in adult life. We will try to consider each of them.
'Islanders' it's first and magically track from this EP, ease the mind and memories of the existence of the animation into the Soviet Union, as the basis of the track there sounds from a Soviet cartoon Chunga Changa!
Track 'Reminder' is really, truly fascinating journey into the subconscious and fantastic macro world, the world of minimalism. Listening to this track there are a variety of fantasy and dynamic of this track leads to the movements of the body, causes the move and even dance into tact of percussions from this track.
The final track of this release is an unusual track with at least an unusual name 'Intelligent Gum', which took a worthy area of the second side of vinyl. First of all, this track is remarkable duration of sound. Despite the fact that it's track so long lasting, but this it wants to listen again and again! It is quite hypnotic... Soft as wadding and tasty as a chocolate with a delicious taste of liquor. In the course of listening you will find a lot of mystery and surprises for you, just enjoying the taste of chocolate with liquor.
We can make a bold conclusion that this release including all three tracks will not leave you indifferent to each of them and you will enjoy the author's original approach.

Kicking off the first Partisan release of 2022, Oslo based producer A:G dives deep with his “Human In Progress” EP.
Full of warm infectious energy, acid and rave mood, gripping emotion, amalgamated with some serious synth seduction; A:G's unique production style shines, transcending you to a new state of mind.
We wonder how he managed to craft the perfect balance; animated yet serious, innovative and yet danceable.
Drop the needle on the record and let it blow you away!

“Quivering in Time” is the debut album by DJ and producer Eris Drew on T4T LUV NRG, the label she runs with partner Octo Octa. In 2020, after the release of Trans Love Vibration (NAIVE, 2018) and Transcendental Access Point (Interdimensional Transmissions, 2020), Eris moved from her hometown of Chicago to rural New Hampshire and recorded the nine beautiful songs featured here. Her first album feels something like her DJ sets, with stacked layers of vinyl samples and turntable manipulations serving as a fast-moving foundation for hand-played keyboard riffs, walls of percussion and sampled, scratched and strummed guitar tones. On each song for the album Eris expresses the anxiety and hope of her present. She wrote, recorded, and mixed the album as she stared into the forest through her studio window, collapsing present and past into future, her memories and body literally quivering in time.
The songs are cast with Eris’s experiences and intentions. The plucky progressive Loving Clav is in the form of an evocation (“good times come to me now....”), while the tracks Time to Move Close and Show U Love express Eris’s longing for togetherness. The hardcore Pick ‘Em Up (“...and it might be a different story”) and organ-heavy Ride Free are funky odes to psychedelics, hard dancing and the subjectivity of real lived experience. The twinkling house of Howling Wind and the tempo-shifting bop of Sensation capture the mystery of the forest cabin where Eris spent most of the last 15 months. Two booming hip house dubs round out the album, Baby and Quivering in Time, each an itchy track about hope and personal resilience. As with her prior work, Eris’s approach to music making is unique and genre-dissolving. Ultimately, her special sound is a metaphor for her main message, which is that every person deserves to be themself.

For the fourth vinyl release of the well-established Insane Code Recording label, a multifaceted artist is proposed: Forcytek. His works range from various styles of electronics, from classical House to experimentation with industrial-type sequences and sounds. In this work, however, thanks to the vocal accompaniment of an Underground artist: Sadimah (SADI Oortmood), she expresses herself with a track in the Melodic Techno style. On a day of winter weather, inspired by her machines (including the unmistakable classical percussion of the Roland TR-909) and the singer's dark voice, the December One track is generated. From this track, an EP with 3 remixes and an Acappella is obtained.
The first remix is by the producer and artist of the same ICR who takes us on a sonic journey through the effects and voice of Sadimah with very original percussion and timbres created ad hoc with his special machines.
The second remix is from the explosion of Dancefloor, proposed by a great DJ and producer, legend of southern Italy: Federico Guglielmi who with his global vision of music will make us dance from the beginning to the end of the track.
The third remix is proposed to us by another great artist from North East Italy: mister Mauro Novani who with his superfine style and class takes us on a journey between fresh sounds and perfect joints for an infinite physical and mental dance.
In the middle of the EP, Sadimah's Acappella is inserted, to allow DJs to be able to use it and mix it with imagination in their various personal sets.

In a world characterised by the mundane, novelty is an increasingly hard-pressed experience to find. But somehow, French DJ/producer Karaba seems to know exactly how to balance the precipitous contest between technicality and innovation.
For the 16th release on Haŵs, Karaba writes a love letter to 90s tech house and the underground Parisian scene from his home town in Lille. Sewing together intricate synths, trippy breaks and rumbling tech house loops into an abstract tapestry, the final result is a collection of dancefloor curveballs that somehow, with all the idiosyncrasies, make total sense.
'Belly Pad’ is a sharp opener, with a never-ending spiral of kaleidoscopic grooves and instinctively plaited synths. ‘Transform’ has all the charm of a delightfully subterranean level in an old-school video game, positioning rebellious acid lines into a playful, malevolent swing. On the B-side, ‘Digital Mystery’ slips into woozy breakbeat and dark psychedelia that bubbles up through a deliciously addictive bassline and melodies that coil back into itself. To close, ‘Club Simulator’ marks itself as a thoughtful statement on the paradox of creative flow; it’s self-aware but allows itself to get lost in a sky-high trip of lofty synths and rhythms, before touching back down safely to the ground.
The ride might at times feel like the driver’s lost control – but in reality they know exactly what they’re doing to push the edge of the thrill just at the right moments.

Regardless of where you’re from, it’s where you at. These wise words are some that the Watch Patrol wants you to remember as we all trying to find and stay on our path..
These wise words start off the A side and prepare us for a funky and synth fueled, cow bell-ing journey.
Next we head into Trial & Error, a bouncing tech which has already been proven to bring some big energy on the dance floor.
The B side contains the breaks you’ve been waiting for. Two big tunes that have been deliciously dialed in to spread groove and funk on the dancefloors. Trance, breaks, arpeggios, chopped up vocals, and special effects that will get you to keep this one in the bag at all times.
Limited copies as always, be quick!

When he's not dishing out breaks-y garage and slick retro-future electro, Burnski still finds time to exercise his decades deep prowess in the art of tech house. On this new drop for Constant Sound he's clearly having a lot of fun sculpting a hefty, big room sound with Ibiza in its sights. 'Trigger' hinges around an epic breakdown-build up which goes off like a rocket when it drops, swinging with glee and leaning in on playful synth licks. 'Go' is an absolute monster too, which nods to Burnski's recent UKG explorations with some rough bass and a killer 4x4 groove. If you want to do some damage in the dance in the classiest of ways, look no further.
Detroit Electronic Quarterly serves up the latest volume of tracks in their ongoing series and it is another crucial one that starts with a particularly potent spoken word. Nandi's 'Detroit Tells Its Techno Story' speaks about how the genre is often referenced by huge stars of the music world but never itself gets much credit. After that A7MC drops a nice raw hip hop beat and Shawscape Renegade offers some slippery analogue electro to make your ass wiggle. The ever underrated Eddie Fowlkes also contributes a vibe-y and dynamic deep house cut amongst other great tunes from Luke & Jeff Hess and ADMN which all show the varied and vital nature of the Motor City's output.

Born and bred New Yorker Jean Pierre is stepping out with his own brand new label, Pakate. The vinyl-only outlet kicks off with a fantastic first EP from FLETCH featuring remixes from Pierre himself and Franco Cinelli.
This exciting new label will be an outlet for Jean and other friends to serve up mature and minimal sounds focused around unique designs and powerful grooves. Dealing in heady underground sounds that also work on larger dance floors, the label comes after Pierre has spent 15 years entrenched in the electronic scene. This is his way to carefully curate his own music exactly how he wants to, with three releases already lined up for 2021.
The first one is from FLETCH, a red hot UK talent who has released on the likes of Kaluki and Whippin’ Records. His opening tune 'Actin Up' is a slick and slippery minimal groove with real depth and freaky sound designs that make it pop. 'Want Me' then hits harder, with loopy house drums and squelchy synths all bubbling away beneath soulful female vocal sounds and cosmic synths.
The first fine remix is from France Cinelli who takes 'Actin Up' super deep, with punching kicks and rolling bass that gets you in a state of hypnosis., Closing out the package is a Jean Pierre remix of 'Want Me' that shows off his ability to lay down stripped back but compelling house grooves with deft sound design and a freaky atmosphere.
This is a standout first EP that perfectly sets the scene for what is sure to become a vital new label from this American mainstay.
Rising talent No-e achieves a career milestone this October, making his maiden appearance on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations with the three-track A List. It continues a highlight 2021 for the Welshman, which has seen him release on Food Music, Nothing But and several other labels already this year.
The title track begins with striking synth pulses and fast-paced kick-hat pairings, whilst old-skool disco samples march on throughout. Fleek manifests as a groovy, vocal-driven number, packed full of female lyrical samples that create a true celebratory feel, before Get It ends proceedings on an upbeat, feel-good note with warm percussion and a swinging underlying bassline.
Welsh DJ / Producer No-e is quickly becoming a talked-about name in today’s electronic music realm. Cutting his teeth in his hometown of Swansea, recent releases on Food Music and All Night Long Records have caught the eye of several well-known talents, including Shadow Child, Alex Virgo and now Hot Creations head Jamie Jones.

Perspective is back with a fresh VA featuring Toke, Midge Thompson, Mculo and Bassam.
The A1 kicks things off nicely with Tbilisi based artist Toke, followed by Leeds' Midge Thompson who takes things a little deeper but still with plenty of energy.
The flip welcomes Mculo with a wigged out acid number that has plenty of twists and turns. Bassam shares the B side which rounds off the record nicely with a quality vocoder laced 4x4 and breakbeat hybrid.

Clear Vinyl
Hitting us with a double LP of sublime dance music lingering on the border of ambience, Interstate is the alter ego of DJ Swagger. Earlier this year, he graced Shall Not Fade's Time Is Now sub label in collaboration with DJ Aedidias for four feelgood UKG cuts - now returning for the second album in the Seasons Series, expect something a little different. Dominion Swing is his first LP under the Interstate moniker.
The four sides of vinyl hold their fair share of punchy kick drums and funky melodies, though across them is a blissed out ambient softness that comes to the forefront by the end. "Doublet Doureet" is a low end groover driven by skippy percs, the speedy bass melody chilled out with some lingering natural chords. "Second Mass" is futuristic and clean cut, tickling the ear with panning synth stabs and a powerful electro bassline that cuts through the track sharply, giving memories of the dancefloor while perfectly leading into "Habitat" - the sustained ambient shimmer that closes the A side.
Onto the reverse side, "This Rather Than That" and "Misty" are glitchy, playful evening music, "Misty" leaning into a fun organ ditty. The almost imperceptible bassline of "Two To Get Ready" hangs in the air giving it a dub atmosphere.
More genre exploration is to be found on the C side, from the pulsing but delicate house of "Appliance" to the tranquil guitar-lead journey of "Condone The Drama", ending with a return to blissful, oceanic ambience in "Bubblebath".
The closing side of Dominion Swing stays in this vein - blissed out haze is soaked into summer sundowner "Ascension" and its romantic melodies. "Stigma" is built on misty ambient pads but carries a persistent heartbeat rhythm, fading slowly into album closer "Yosemites" tropical field recordings and scattered drum hits.
Pink Vinyl
jamesjamesjames hovers somewhere between Y2K house and super-sugary PC music, creating a unique and sexy sound that just feels expensive. The Melbourne-based artist has built a large following with poppy earworms and pounding house, and now joins Shall Not Fade's Classic Cuts series for a full EP of hits.
james2007EP starts with the anthemic "It's Not You, It's Me"; pairing the rumble of jungle breaks with melancholic, airbrushed vocals that show their SOPHIE influence, it's an eye catching opener. "My Purple iPod Nano" has a sound palette which will transport you straight back to a 00s club night, teasing a climax that stays just out of reach with pumping synth stabs and a kick drum that packs a punch.
On the B-side, "Orange Tesla" is a high-pressure roller that centers a pacey melody - sure to be a 3am dancefloor energiser. The record closer, "I Dunno Her", brings back the emotive edge with spaced out pads and glittery little ear candy moments overarching the still-racing beat. Ballad-like vocals that are barely perceptible add depth. This EP showcases jjj's talent for catchy and clever hybrid music, which is sure to make him one to watch.

After eight years immersed in songwriting and production, Dani Siciliano is ready to return with her third solo LP 'DANI SICILIANO". Ahead of the LP's release on Circus Company, the lead single shines a light on one of the album's undoubted highlights and offers it up for some intriguing dancefloor variations that nod to her house music roots. 'I'm The Question' revels in the playful and unconventional approach to pop that has always guided Dani's music, and so gives a perfect teaser of what the full album has in store. Her voice soars in a multi-layered swirl of crafty production while the arrangement crackles with an energy that reflects the rousing message of the lyrics. It's an urgent intonation of positivity that should motivate anyone to get up and move, but it communicates this idea in a most delightfully unusual of ways. Rising Parisian house head Ben Vedren offers up a remix of the lead track, building on his refined releases for Minibar and Concrete Music amongst others. He brings a noticeably tough undercurrent to his version, using a driving bass-weighted drum set to carry artful slices of Dani's vocals through a club-ready confection with carefully placed brushstrokes of warmth and melody. Ben Vedren also turns his hand to the Acapella Remix, stripping the production of the original track right back and replacing it with a simple rhythmic guidance to leave ample space for the vocals to stand on their own. With nothing but a steady grooving kick and snare loop in the way, it's a track crying out for the kind of creative mixing that music as unique as Dani's is perfectly suited to.

This next vital two tracker is a split with Politics Of Dancing the artist on both sides, with a different producer on each. It is Djoko with whom he links first for a spaced out tech cut that spins you out into the cosmos on warm pads and metallic drums. ON the flip is the more rubbery and bass driven dubbed out and deep offering from Politics Of Dancing x Lowris. Both sides bang.

After the first vinyl release in January 2019, Modvlar returns to printing discs and does it with an artist who needs no introduction. The MOD002 features Valentino Kanzyani as protagonist. The partnership between the Slovenian DJ / producer and Modvlar began a few years ago and his presence behind the console of the Italian-Swiss party / label has become a constant. To complete it all, there are 3 Original Mixes that perfectly define Valentino's style: dancefloor, dancefloor and even dancefloor. Dragosh, one of the ambassadors of the Modvlar house, concludes the ep, who with one of his super Reworks goes to extrapolate and transform one of Valentino's works into something more minimal.

Svoboda continues to amaze us, this time delivering a special release that opens the label's vinyl series. For the first reference, they prepared a very ambitious four-tracker, featuring truly vinyl cuts by Daniel Meister, Lost.Act , Legit Trip, Farid Odilbekov and Arkady Antsyrev.
A-side opens up with a tight beat with an explosive snare, fast-flowing hi-hat rhythm, lovely rhodes chords and swelling bassline bringing 'Solely' that immediately dives you into the deep atmosphere of the whole ep.
'Sneaky Peeky' follows by introducing some 'hip' vibes cutting through the dark atmosphere of the track that escalates with intensity as the track unfolds.
B-side brings even more enhanced grooves in form of 'Holera' which is a minimalistic mixture of those deep elements, that permeate the entire ep, with some acid-work, combined with a solid beat and ambient vocals.
'Call Me' fulfils, having a stripped back sound design with a menacing bassline that helps to achieve a brooding atmosphere full of suspense, completing the characteristic sound of the ep.

Matthew Jonson studied classical piano as a kid and, as well as learning jazz drumming, played drums in a marching band. We only mention this because the influence of all three is still very much in evidence in the infectious house music that the Berlin-based producer makes. The signature melody of 'Spaceport 23' is a jazzy organ riff, which lands it a carefree, frisky air, but of course his grasp of tight, economic beats and beautifully balanced, pleasing-to-the-ear composition also play their parts. 'Spaceport 23-Z' doesn't veer far from the original, but adds a sheen of Detroit-esque synth magic, while those who favour the tech in their tech house will probably want to head for the more synthetic, electrified vibes of 'Spaceport 23-X'.

It's coming home, it's coming home - house music is coming home! A second instalment of the Groove Access: series Chicago Is Home offers us five fresh tracks from the windy city landing in a glorious cavalcade of razor edged snares and hypnotic jack house. Ed Nine & Kid Enigma's 'Bandleaders' opens side one in spectacular fashion with spoken mantras lying deep in the mix, distinctive phasing arpeggios, poking keyboard riffs and ringing cymbals. JSquare's 'Get Wicked' kicks with even more power, tribal rhythms bouncing of bleepy melodies, before 'Move' by Geto Mark rounds off the side with the strutting, beautifully brutal 'Move', a proper 3AM peak time pleaser. Steve Noah's 'The Hater' opens side two, a wily acid line worming its way across a raw, stripped down backing before exploding into serious gnarliness when you least expect it. AFTR's 'Undercover' rounds things off with another knuckle duster of a tune, leaving no doubt that Chicago is still the place to be when it comes to house.
To celebrate its first anniversary Lempuyang firmly stakes its claim amongst the forefront of deep techno labels with an outrageous line-up consisting of eight of the most respected heads in the business, all doing their stuff across four pieces of vinyl. Among the highlights are the growling menace of Sa Pa's 'Randomer', Gradient's fizzy, dubbed up 'Dopamine Rain' wearing its Basic Channel influence on its sleeve, the ghostly rave stabs of Deadbeat's 'Planterwald' among a sea of radioactive white noise and the clear, sculpted linear grooves of 'Growing Pains' by Bluetrain. That said, there's no weak link among the eight cuts and put together into one coherent package it's more than the sum of its part.
« It’s never to late to do everything. My first vinyl came after 10 years of work, when I came 32 years old. And its only beginning for me. I made tracks for this EP in different places in different time. Flat in big city, house in forest, room in old hotel ( house now ). So different moods and different vibe that you can use in different time slots. I hope you will feel my emotions and fun with this music »

Ian Pooley returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids with Studio A Pt. 2 this February. The second entry in a three-part series of music based around his studio, Ian Pooley’s ‘Studio A Pt. 2’ for Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint sees the bonafide house legend deliver another choice selection of grooving
hardware productions.
Leading the A-side is the fluttering synths and warped vocal samples of ‘JV Organ & Matrix’, which twists and turns through delightful FX and rumbling bass. ‘Version 2’ of the track follows, contorting elements of the original into a heads-down groover, with washed-out processing and stereo wizardry meeting classic dub techniques.
On the flip, ‘Back Up’ keeps it live and direct with hard-hitting, chunky drums and menacing acid lines, with an additional stripped back digital ‘Beats Bass’ version included. Rounding out the 12” is 101202, a dreamy slice of razor-sharp house, with gorgeous, filtered pads drifting in tandem with strung out low end and skippy percussion.
Active since the early 90s, the German DJ/producer has released on the likes of Force Inc, V2 Records, and his own Pooledmusic, remixing for the likes of Deee-Lite, Carl Cox and many more, as well as being one of the few to be remixed by Daft Punk.
Esteemed artist Jamie Jones is set to drop an EP titled Handy Work on his Hot Creations imprint this September. The release features three standout tracks that emulate Jamie’s distinct production skills and ear for the dancefloor.
Title track Handy Work sets the tone with sharp percussion, prominent vocal stabs and a wonky, driving bassline. Next up, Mind Meld With Spock has a stumbling groove, with hypnotic keys and a striking clap. Last up, Sunday In Paris is a blissful number, perfect for the sunrise hours with emotive and elevating chords.
A globally respected and highly accomplished artist, label boss at the seminal Hot Creations, founder and curator of the worldwide Paradise event series and member of cross-genre band Hot Natured, Jamie Jones has achieved iconic status in the electronic music world. A trendsetter and seasoned tastemaker, the Welsh dance music superstar pioneered his own distinct sound, drawing on his deep knowledge and experience to cultivate DJ sets that weave through a range of diverse, complementary styles selected to energise and enchant the dance floor.

From geoformation to carbon extraction, desalination to biome rehabilitation, TerraFirm has a full range of services to return your planet to its naturally thriving, pre-apocalypse state.
With the most basic of remediation behind us we now turn our attention to your planet’s hydrosphere. This phase is critical not only because your planet’s water inventory is the cradle of all life, but also because it is likely toxic and hyperacidic from millennia of pollution, dumping and carbon dioxide uptake. Microsmosis is a process by which microbial bioremediation and reverse osmosis are combined to purify your planet’s oceans. Genetically engineered bacteria are deployed to consume pollutants, metabolizing them into harmless biodegradable waste. Simultaneously, our fleet of supermassive ocean-trawling membrane machines filter every ounce of your oceans’ water inventory, ridding it of unwanted ions and molecules. Rivers, lakes and streams are subsequently purified as clean ocean waters are disseminated by your planet’s natural water cycle.

Tokyo-based producer Omar Santis returns for his 3rd Karakul EP following on from releases on Dionysian Mysteries and Envelope Audio.
'Thursday Night Funktion' is the 6th release on the imprint and really embodies the ethos of Karakul, soulful deep house workouts designed for the dance floor.
The EP is dedicated to his Tokyo club night 'Funktion'; a cultural party that's held every Thursday at one of the world's top ten small clubs, Oath in Shibuya.
Their events have caught the attention of Tokyo's local community and their international guests by its unique branding and "mature but wild" party atmosphere.
The EP starts on a high with the groovy sample heavy disco/house jam 'Nira'. Vocal chops and guitar licks build and culminate until a massive string section releases a second rush of energy taking the track to even higher ground.
The follow up 'Sakura Blossom' is the deepest cut of the release with washed out pads and bleeps cascading while a hypnotic bass keeps the track grooving.
Iron Curtis adds his personal touch and ups the energy on his remix of 'Cameo Appearance', adding a breakbeat, ethereal melodies and vocal snippets floating atop a plucky bass line.
Ending the release on a blissful note 'SpaceColorPalette' is a flurry of melodic synths and muffled percussion that swirl around over the top of a solid kick and bass groove.
Acid Jazz presents the long-awaited reissue of The Aloof’s cult classic final LP ‘This Constant Chase For Thrills’.
Formed in 1990, The Aloof were a pioneering electronic act, playing and touring with the likes of Massive Attack and Leftfield. After three albums with the Warner EastWest, they forged their own path, releasing ‘This Constant Chase For Thrills’ on their own Screaming Target label.
Despite highlights ‘Doing It For Money’ and ‘Painted Face’, as well as ‘So Good’, which featured in the US version of ‘Queer As Folk’, the album didn’t get the coverage it deserved upon release.
Within a dark and moody atmosphere, there is definite Ibiza and Balearic feel to the record, showing a band with a positive DIY spirit.

Kommuna is back with the “Silent Uproar” EP featuring James Andrew with a special feel-good track that sets a positive dancefloor vibe through dreamy breaky rhythms. Driahn’s “Recreate” provides elegant breaks for what can be the perfect track for the obscure late hours.
The B-Side of the record is an energy blast with Driahn’s “Phazed & Confused” infectious groove bringing damage to the dancefloor and Pekkuliar’s ghetto-tech inspired track closing this versatile EP in an unexpected way.
Track by track, we build a Kommuna of well-established artists but also unknown studio dwellers who share a fixation for music discovery without following any trends or limitations.

Adam Beyer's Drumcode is growing from strength to strength, year after year, with a non-stop release schedule showcasing both the labels new and most established artists with cutting edge techno beats. After 20 years since its inception, Drumcode continues to push the boundaries, firmly grounding their position as the world's No.1 techno label.
Drumcode's youngest rising star, Layton Giordani, exploded on to the scene after his debut album "Where It Begins" back in February, after scoring some of the biggest festivals in Europe this summer, he now returns with an exciting collab titled "Live Again".
NY born and bred, Danny Tenaglia has always been a true inspiration for Layton since his teenage years, so when the opportunity to collaborate with the fellow NY legend was on the cards, it was a dream come true.
Danny and Layton join forces for the lead track 'Live Again'. Its deep and dark with a slowly building pad wrapping around a modulating synthetic hook. The dark and effected vocal echo takes the track into a hypnotic vibe.
'Take It Back' delivers a pumping drive the moment it fires up. Snapping percussive force and an infectious rhythmic groove will unhinge dance floors nationwide, whilst 'Secrets of Vibration' has a rattling, yet blistering low end presence to it.
The New Yorkers unite on this energetic and exciting collab.

Positive Not Happy label owners The Lumens are coming back with the follow up of their label debut. Same as the first release, "Vetro Ep" has two original tracks and two guest remixes. Both "Sparse" and "Vetro" original mixes have the typical driving rhythms of the duo, combined with unceasing 303ish acid lines and deep chords, resulting in a shiny and addictive club vibe. On the remix task, we have the popular Berlin groove maestro Diego Krause, delivering a killer straight house beat rework, on the flip side Pennyroyal After Tea co-founder Ricky Leo signs a deep and classy techno interpretation. More quality and avant-garde grooves from Positive Not Happy, setting their own standard a step further.

REPRESS ALERT !
Uruguay's finest house and techno export Z@p continues his welcome return to active service in the freakier end of the scene with this spot on Cartulis Music. "Tracid" has a clue in its title, and it doesn't take long to detect the brazen 303 baiting taking place through the core of this peppy workout. It's an effective weapon used in just the right way that should get bodies wriggling with approval. "That Break" meanwhile diverts into a kind of braindance territory with the titular drums matched with more wobbly synth leads and spooked out pads, and then "Acid Rhytms" rounds the EP off with a more reflective cut for calmer moments in the dance.

Following the exclusive heavy mix compilation that Jimi Jules knocked out for us recently, it's time to deliver on those exclusives via two EP's from the man himself and we kick things off with EP number one, 'Midnight Juggernaut' where Jules' studio prowess is on full display with three stellar originals including a remix from the mighty Recondite.
Jimi's 'Abandoned Soul' original starts the EP and is equal parts moody as it is groovy as classic 303 acid fuses with Jules' post modern drum programming resulting in a smooth, yet energetic ride into the shimmering corners of dance floor euphoria. Recondite steps up and delivers a beautiful rework of 'Abandoned Soul' in true Recondite fashion keeping all the original parts in tact while incorporating the lush melodic progressions he is so well known for. Next up is the title track from the EP 'Midnight Juggernaut', where Jules shows his affinity for artfully crafted minimalism as remnants of early Perlon stylings merge with a more modern melodic approach where the seemingly empty spaces are filled lush, sonic textures. Rounding out the EP is 'Othervision' as Jules' puts 'four to the floor' to full use as one single lead line carries the tune to an incognito crescendo of emotion emanating in a well thought out and expertly crafted EP with something for everyone and every situation.

How do you go on after a feast like - The Division' - especially if it included a main course like Neutron Dance You don't! And you don't even have to try. But like with any great meal, one can do magic with the leftovers (see chop suey, stew or goulash for further reference). In any case, Krystal Klear doesn't need to worry about that. Having cracked the DNA code of - dance music' on his first EP for Running Back, this double-A-side-follow-up-single feels alive, floats upstream and fires on all cylinders. While Euphoric Dreams is the musical incarnation of an Alexander Shulgin formula (your spine gets tingled all the way including a wonderfully prolonged break down) or the scoring of the proverb that - at the bottom of patience one finds heaven' and - happiness is just around the bend'. Speaking of which, Miyoki does exactly that to every pair of knees around. A relentless bass line and a deadly snare (- yes, you thrill me, when you fill me'*) are enough to force almost any kind of dance floor into submission. *Freely adapted from Les Femmes - Yes, You Thrill Me - Kee Wee, 1984

Larry Tee and Radio Slave announce The Royal Acadamy Of Fierce. Featuring Justin Vivien Bond and Tobell von Cartier, ‘Fashion Queen / Black Pussy’s Revenge’ drops in March.
Founded by US icon Larry Tee and Rekids label boss Radio Slave, The Royal Academy Of Fierce is a project inspired by underground drag culture and the unmistakable sound of early nineties New York house. Featuring Broadway star Justin Vivien Bond and drag sensation Tobell von Cartier, the first release from the project channels this raucous energy across a ferocious pair of club-ready tracks.
Best known for writing the smash ‘Supermodel (You Better Work)’ for RuPaul, as well as a discography that includes seminal late 80s house cuts on Funtone and Quark alongside pivotal work with Princess Superstar, Scissor Sisters, Erasure’s Andy Bell, and Peaches, Larry Tee’s rep goes way beyond his coining of the ‘electroclash’ genre in the early 2000s. A literal party starter for decades, nights like Love Machine (NY), Super Electric Party Machine (London) and KRANK (Berlin), Tee’s a genuine cultural institution.

Cosmic tech house wizard SNAD officially kicks off a brand new label from the stables of For Those That Knoe. Featuring eight tracks of chi-town swagger and a sprinkle of star dust, the Intergalactic Gambler rockets into a solar system near you wielding the likes of 'Juiced', with its spacious production and neatly sassy groove, the linear paths of 'The Big Sleep' and the oozing keys of 'Guiding Light'.
London's tight-knit underground spawned the NorthSouth Records back in 2017 and though releases come slowly, they are of high quality. This year's second offering comes from Privu, a fast-rising hero from the Romanian scene with a stylish sound. Opener 'Altona' has a nice fat bassline and well-defined kick drums making for a fulsome groove, 'Amazonia' picks up the party with some silky percussion and spaced out pads, 'Time' is a twisted and playful cut with smeared pads and drums that pop right off, while 'Blandenur' closes with the most colourful synths and stabs of the lot. A characterful EP of stripped-back sounds for sure.

OPTIC NERVE / STRAND ......define Detroit techno definitively and beautifully through their respective sense of dance from the Motor City. The 12 inch kicks off with the voice of Brian Bonds from Strand simply stating what you are in for and it is indeed a treat. The "Optic Nerve Meets Strand" opener is a mature track with all the colorful strings and funky bass the two groups have brought for over 20 years, ready for the dance floor. B side) "Factor It N" (Mix 1) is a Strand experiment filled with layered bass pads exploding through the speakers and is one of those rare tracks that leads you to listen to hear what comes next. "Factor It N" (K1 Mix) is Keith Tucker's electro persona bringing the electro heads to the dance floor with intricate, precise bass lines thumping within the beats and claps smacking you in the face.......

Nathan Micay is pleased to present the next re-issue on Eternal Schvitz: Mouvement Perpetuel - Sexuel Mouvement, three incredible dance cuts written by Jerome ‘Pacman’ Elia. Originally released on Obsession Music in 1997, the A-side went on to become a cult favourite after appearing on Sasha & Digweed’s North Exposure Expeditions mix in 1999. Since then, copies of the original 12-inch record have sold for astronomical sums. Now, over 20 years later, this gem is lovingly restored and available to a new generation of DJ’s and music lovers.
As always, Schvitz gives back. From any profits raised, 60% of the cut to the artists and ensuring their credits are front and centre. The remaining 40% of profits will go to aequa, a Berlin-based collective with a focus on empowerment of women, trans and non- binary folks through gatherings for interpersonal exchange. Schvitz is Love. Schvitz is Communal.

Here we go again! The second release on MARICAS Records is hot and ready to handle, fresh off the kitchens of two of the maestros of the moment, Saorsie and Roza Terenzi. Saoirse fires up the ignition with Dama Latina, an upfront housey number. Her tight, infectious groove bounces along incessantly, punctuated by an orchestra of bleeps and bloops, horns and sirens like one big sexy traffic jam. She keeps our fire burning low and slow with You Can Come. It’s underwater-funk with a lazy, heavily syncopated bassline overlaid with shimmering washy melodies and vocal on repeat, all dripping wet with reverb. We’re deep down in Chuggsville and it’s hot as hell.
On the flip side, Roza flips us out. Kandy Floss sends all kinds of creepy frequencies bouncing around the inside of our skulls. It's not long before a throbbing bassline creeps up on us in the dark and takes us on a ride, like a train through a haunted house of eerie sounds and voices. We cling to the steady groove because all other sounds are moving around us, like ghosts and ghouls erratically weaving in and out of each other over our heads.
We continue our spooky ride with Triple D must be something good because we’ve had three of them and we’re really feeling it. Helek K’s spoken words echo around us like a spiritual guide leading us through our trip, her moaning like a haunting lullaby. Driving bass all the way here, lifted by flickering percussion but darkened by the deep squelch of wobbly bass tone. Much psychedelic doof energy on this side of the disk.

After 20 years of a lot of work, parties and music, Alexandre Antonio and Roberto Filippi (aka ScoutSom) have decided to create another project: to recreate soulful music raising the duo to a standard of sublimation of global trends.
In this new Live PA venture, the couple of friends produced a unique album in the history of the world of electronic music. They were able to mix the best of the Detroit Techno with the Divine Name of the Creator.
Summarizing, the relationship between the language code of the Divine Name and the cellular parts of the human fabric can be seen in terms of the DNA-wave form of a certain vibrational frequency which composes the human bio-computer through the 64 cell areas of a complex matrix.
The Divine Code is the coding mechanism, communicated through micro-signal ranges, where the vibratory link forms the “genetic matter” within the cells as a pattern of Divine energy flow. The body is seen as a bio-suit of lightware operating via a language of biochemical light that provides billions of instructions per second. The identity of each individual is housed in this inner labyrinth of chemical letters, which equates the complete genome with the soul mechanism of life.
By linking all these unusual elements, ScoutSom explores the relationship between human creativity and the innovative technologies that enable the freedom of improvisation. This is a label that comes to encourage movement – a movement that wants a change through a sonic revolution.
We can only emerge from unconsciousness and understand the higher coding instructions by means of following the thread of life in the letters of the Names; a person who has lost this thread is lost in the maze of the body and mind. Such a person is impotent for he builds his tower to heaven with mental promiscuity, looking only at the building bricks and particles of his body and not at the source of the bio-transducer. The secrets that constitute the “glue” which holds the building blocks together, lie forgotten or even dismissed in the arrogance of the intellect.
Alexandre and Roberto urge you to join the resistance and help combat the mediocre audio and visual programming that is being fed to the inhabitants of Earth. This model of programming is stagnating people’s minds; building a wall between races and preventing world peace. The duo is ready to smash this wall by using the untapped energy potential of sound just like certain frequencies shatter glass.
Techno is a kind of music based in experimentation; it is music for the future of the human race. Without it there will be no peace, no love and no vision. By simply communicating through sound, Techno has brought people of all different nationalities together, under the same roof, to enjoy themselves.
Isn’t it obvious that music and dance are the keys to the universe? So-called primitive animals and tribal humans have known this for thousands of years! ScoutSom shout out to all brothers and sisters of the underground to create and transmit their tones and frequencies no matter how so-called primitive their equipment may be. Transmit these tones and wreak havoc on the programmers
Your influences: Jorge Ben Jor, Tim Maia, Sabotage, Mau Mau, Laurent Garnier, Technasia, Daniel Bortz, Djebali, Richie Hawtin and Ricardo Vilalobos

Davide Piras is an Italian producer with a penchant for the tougher, rougher side of British bass music. Creating music under the moniker DJ Chupacabra, Piras has been picked up by labels like Haws and Dr Banana in the past year, and now makes his debut for Time Is Now with more deep raw cuts.
The EP hits hard with deep tech, breaks and rumbling bass. "Grimer" kicks off with sparse, staccato beats for heads down business before the expansive two step of "Rockstar". With its eclectic use of samples and ominous swelling bassline, it's a solid club roller.
Funky, earworming house is the game of B-side opener "Killalot" which hints just a little of an acidic edge. "Morbid" is a heady stepper with plenty of ear teasing melody and atmosphere. The EP closes with a crescendo in "Croissant", which has a chunky minimal deep tech beat and booming bassline which is destined to send the dancefloor wild.
Lauren Lo Sung makes her LOCUS debut as she delivers her ‘Miss B’ EP, backed by a remix from label favourite KOKO.
One of the UK’s most exciting house talents, gaining stand out praise from Mixmag and DJ Mag to name just a few, Liverpool-based DJ and producer Lauren Lo Sung has established herself as one of the scene’s most in-demand ‘new names’ of recent years. With releases to date via the likes of Vatos Locos, Lazare Hoche Records and Rutilance, alongside her own blossoming imprints LOLiFE and e1even Records, her groove-laden sound has seen grace the decks across a host of renowned hotspots from Space Ibiza to Club der Visionaere, and her sharp ascent is most certainly showing no signs of slowing. After yet another impressive twelve months, 2021 welcomes her debut on
London’s flourishing LOCUS as she reveals her ‘Miss B’ EP this February – backed by a remix from bubbling Italian talent KOKO, who returns having dropped the launch EP on the label.
Title cut ‘Miss B’ kicks things off in a warping fashion as spiralling synths and fluttering vocal interjections meet skittering drums to offer up lively EP opener, whilst ‘Cosmic Flow’ introduces further tripped-out vocal effects atop of dubby chords and paired back, refined percussion. Next up, KOKO’s hazy and energetic take on the title cut showcases the Italian’s slick and infectious sound palette, before the aptly titled ‘B-Side The Point’ closes proceedings as Lo Sung opts for bubbling basslines, hypnotic atmospherics and snaking percussion arrangements throughout a groove-heavy peak-time closer.

Filippo Bena back with an EP full of stories to tell! Intriguing and enganging moods, accompanied by spatial rhythms, enjoy it!
Fred P's fresh 'Perpetual Sound' imprint continues its journey with 'Lush Culture', a split EP that finds the label head alongside like-minded soul, Deetron. 'Liquidity' opens the EP: a slowly-bubbling, elegantly shuffling house trip that pairs liquid, deep chords with irresistible percussion. 'Lush Culture' finds the New York-Berlin producer in his most sophisticated mode, channelling pure early-hours dance floor ambience via a rolling, charismatic beat amid a subtle but intoxicating build. Handing the reins to Deetron for the flip, 'Sweet Science' sees the Swiss maestro punctures the weightless mood with a heavier, stepping bassline that blossoms into a blissful analogue state that rolls on and on, mastering sublime cosmic tension with each powerful breakdown. Fred P returns to conclude the release with '119 Black Key Experiment', a sparkling, ambient sign-off that explores the retro-futurist influence at the beating heart of the label's aesthetic.
