Jump in your spaceship and join us on our intergalactic exploration, as we are happy to announce that our next vinyl release is from Blossom Kollektiv's very own Leo Woelfel . Making his debut last year with a digital only release we are very excited to present his first vinyl release for the label titled Heuweid EP. The four track EP features three originals and a remix from Matthias Vogt that will take you on a deep exploration of space so buckle up and get ready to blast off.

We start our journey with the Frizzante mix of 'Heuweider Mineral' the track features a deep brooding bassline but with deep and dubby pads that takes us to a universe that plays with the darkness but keeps the light in plain sight. Backed with a solid kick and percussion to give the track a fully rounded feel this is one track that will put a big smile on any lover of the deeper side of house music.

Next up we get Matthias Vogt's interpretation of 'Heuweider Mineral.' Bringing a more broken beat reconstruction of the original, Matthias brings a raw flavor with a roaring bassline, moving snares and a redevelopment of the dubby pads that transforms the track and creates a feeling of weightlessness while floating through space.

On the flip side we are presented with a more classic deep house vibe with Leo's original 'Elke Ueber Der Bruecke ' this track is careful crafted with the dance floor in mind. A strong kick paired with tightly woven percussion and a classic deep house pad keeps everything moving in this distant but familiar world.

Our final stop on our planetary adventure is 'Stahlgruber Andacht' speaking to us in echoes the pads gently intertwine with a detailed drum patterns until the moving acid like bassline comes in to create a whole new dimension of sound. This concept is something that isn't all together new but done in a new and forward thinking way to finish off the full package of a finely tuned deep house record.

The first solo release by the young Uruguayan genius Luis Malon has been very anticipated, and comes full of flavour. A five tracker EP with breaks, deepness, epic moments and a lot of punch.

The title track is body melting Sub Bass meets synapse smashing 303 ACID riffs that roll over and over you in waves as Mike tweaks the frequencies to perfection. This is real Electronic Music performed not programmed.

Cascading acid lines, washes of stomping crashing 808 drums and a classic synth break with filtered twisted vocal echoing around your head.

Aggressive drums pound you from the outset, heavy distorted 909 type drum sounds, Detroit influences are apparent in the choice of lush pads and dynamic filter sweeps wound together by a gurgling acid line pushing and twisting the sound your head. Definitely not a static affair with all the frequencies in flux.

Tense British Techno with the sickest, heaviest square wave bass possible. A stomper with just a touch of the theme to 80's TV series Knightrider about the nagging synth line underpinning the 303's, The Hoff would be proud.

Down2House number one contains three raw house tracks between 1989-1995, reworked and reedited in 2014 by Sacha Robotti, Mr. Ho and Luca Lozano.

Chubby's third volume of split EP goodness welcomes two seasoned veterans of the deep to spin some yarns, with a couple of equally sagely remixers on board too. Vincent Floyd takes up the A side with the beautifully lilting house haze of "Meditation". Deep88 takes the original and gives it a more forthright set of drums - a more visceral jack for those who love the mellow moods but want some bite for the floor. Brad P's "Time Machine" is a typically refined trip into the undergrowth with gorgeous techno synth lines flitting around a warm and easygoing groove made all the sweeter by a little broken beat kink.

We’re welcoming some new faces to the Heist family with this release: JKriv & Peter Matson, who present their ‘Bigtime EP.’ We all know JKriv from his excellent Razor-N-Tape label and his work as a producer and remixer of all things soulful. JKriv has this excellent ability to lay down an organic and original sound and it’s that sound that felt like such a great match with Heist. Peter Matson is the front man of NYC post-punk afro band ‘Underground System’ and if you’ve heard their music, it should come as no surprise that the first outing of the duo is full of high notes.

The lead track ‘Ewesse Ye’ occupies a space in dance music that leans towards Balearic nu-disco and proto-house, but the live elements, African vocals, and chants and cosmic synth work make it a track that’s hard to pin down to just one style. What we can say is this: it sounds huge without really trying to do so. It comes naturally, just like the vocals of Cameroonian singer Samy Love, who lays down his verses in style, with a clear nod to groundbreaking African artists like Ata Kak and Professor Rhythm.

The remix comes courtesy of the multi-talented Auntie Flo, who completely flips the original into a deep afro-tech monster of a track. Dark synths and spaced-out percussion flow along throughout the track and the added layer of Marimba work complements the vocal and vibe of the track perfectly.

On the flipside, we’ve got the slow burner ‘New friend’, which brings us back to Balearic territory. There’s a certain trance-inducing feel to this track with its looped chords and its layers of horns and solo’s. This is some serious eyes-shut-feet-in-the-sand material.

The EP closing track is ‘Bigtime’. Built around a growling bass and subtle chants, this is perhaps the most clubby and in-your-face track of the pack. It’s the horn section that takes center stage here and you really feel that vibrant energy that must have been present in the live room when this was recorded.

The overall recording quality and ear for detail on this EP is outstanding and looking at the list of collaborators, you can only have respect for the way the live and electronic world are blending on this record. These tracks will no doubt add a bit of sunshine to any dancefloor, living room or festival.

The return of…KiNK. His first original record after the latest album and a few bits here and there, is an ode to the miraculous grip that a piano still holds over almost any dance floor. Unmistakably titled „Piano Power Ep“, the Bulgarian hit factory does what it does best: infectious melodies, moving bass and gnarly acid lines as well as the ill beats around. Born out of studio rehearsals for live sets, „2 love U“ is a freestyle jam with regular collaborator Rachel Row (see Hand Made EP or „Follow The Step“): KiNK on keys and Rachel in the vocal booth results in pure positivism, energetic hooks and a certain pop magic. Think Rozalla, Bizarre Inc. or any other sign long and you are almost there. Instrumental included for the faint at heart.
„I Remember“ on the other hand, which is also available as one of KiNK’s beloved video workouts, is presented here as a „303 Mix“ that loses the classic house sample of the first version, in favor of - well, another classic dance music ingredient - the squelchy sound that DJ Pierre invented.
Last, but not least. „Raw“ is the kind of happy-go-lucky piano-bazooka that revokes the spirit of Baltimore’s production outfit Basement Boys in todays’ pagan parties. Using the minimum amount of music tools (lack of effects, volume changes creating dynamics and no more than four instruments), it als feels like KiNK’s reply to Herbert’s infamous dogma. If the ingredients are good enough, you don’t need any spices.

Cécille Numbers comes with Number 19 with a 3 tracker of M.in(Desolat, Robsoul. "Optimum is Insufficient EP" contains two collaborations, Acid Test is made together with the Chicago born Greenskeepers frontman Nick Maurer, who also released on labels like Classic. On "Like that" M.in worked together with the Italian Alex Piccini (Area Remote, Saved) on a great club stomper...last but not least the main long A side is by M.in himself and is called "Organ Grinder". A deep mover with an unforgettable cool melody...hope you enjoy and play numbers..

Golden Age Thinking' was previously a three part, split LP but the three tracks featured on 'Golden Age Thinking' were to be an additional footnote to the project before the complete LP was released as a whole package digitally in June this year. Written just before Martin passed away in late-2012 the tracks featured on this, the 12' release, are the sort of timeless house music the duo shared a deep love of and the decision to release them was taken by Giles and Martin's father.

The YOIONWAX series continues!

The fourth record is an EP with four tracks from a young and very talented artist from The Netherlands - Artmann.

Artmann has been producing music since a young age and grew up developing his experience of multiple musical genres which he has implemented into his own styles, making him an all-round producer. Artmann's handwriting in house music is recognized and loved by listeners all over the world.

The year 2020 has been a powerful breakthrough in the industry for him, as evidenced by the many releases on Rendr, Houbless Music, Surge, Ovrdose Deep, Slightly Sizzled, Pitch, Rawesome Deep and others.

2021 is starting just as powerfully for this lad. Along with several digital releases on Rich Got Jacked, Purism, Elrow, Metafloor, HedzUp, the beginning of the year sees the release of his first own vinyl record - YOIONWAXOO4 on YOI! This record is the perfect ending to winter, tracks that will warm you up and put you in the mood for spring.

Way back in 1996, at the height of the widely acknowledged golden period for electronic music, D-Saw a.k.a André Winter released a true classic on Hamburg's highly influential Superstition label. Track 10:30 stood the test of time, becoming widely regarded as a key moment in European techno music history, despite its modest impact at the time. Now, 20 years later, André revisits the source material courtesy of some killer remixes on Oliver Huntemann's Senso imprint. Hamburg's own H.O.S.H. (Holger Behn) delivers an epic twist to the cut, widening out the spaces and adding his own tech-y signature to the original. Re.You offer up another flavour altogether, maintaining the iconic synth pulse of the source but introducing an infectious, driving groove. dubspeeka throw a bit more grit in into proceedings with a tough, machine funk mix, while André Winter himself reworks his classic into a slow burning groover that effortlessly showcases the elements that make this track so timeless.

Once again, Johnny takes you on that house music journey you love so much, blending those Chicago inspired grooves and acidic basslines with crooning digital voices to form a perfectly balanced EP that will make you go absolutely bonkers, whether you're on the dancefloor or in your living room. Dusky’s return to Running Back.
The second volume of Life Signs continues where its parent left us: on the path to euphoria.
A brew of rumbling bass lines, ecstatic dreams, rattling rave signals and moving melodies that is as sapid as it is substantial. Consisting of four tracks (and one dub), Dusky further cement their reputation of being champions of their (production) craft and the dance floor alike. While „Fridge“, „Seed Tray“ and „Mushroom Samba“ lower the plough with DJs and steppers in mind, „Metropolis“ ennobles itself to a higher stand: with or without voice, it is a sophisticated and divinely inspired master class in a perfect hook (bleeps) and eye (bass). It's all house and techno.

Next on Miriam steps up tech house maestro Ollie Drummond. With previous releases on esteemed Wiggle records and Rob Pearson’s Evasive Records, he continues his run of form with a funky sleek all round fresh release with the Snout & About EP. Starting off with the grooving stripped-back Out Grazing, funky haunting chords splash around a wobbly lead that’s guaranteed to stick in your head for days after the party is done. Next up is the ominous Tunnel Music, which takes you in and out with low swung filters and snappy synth hits. The final track from Ollie comes with The Clock Shop, which features a trippy, low-slung late-night workout seemingly designed to catch you off guard. Finishing off the ep comes a cracker of a remix from Antony Difrancesco, which takes Out Grazing to a more club ready cut with early morning chords to complete this well polished ep

Shan’s fifth release on Running Back sees him wheeling towards the topical and permanent discourse of 1980s dance tropes. Be it italo- or post-diso, proto-house or the thumos of new wave, Shan’s capabilities as a producer and upbringings as an 80ies kid twinkle like a stroboscope on the record’s four tracks (five if you turn the virtual world). Included and leading the pack is „Stück 4“. Surprisingly mistaken as a Cutting Crew cover/sample (no copyrights were harmed during the recording of this song), since it famously appeared in DJ GJ’s DJ sets, it definitely owes as much to dance pop as it does to the manner of revered contemporary Kölsch. Whatever it reminds you of, it’s ravey, romantic and rousing at the same time. Turn to „Schlagzeug“ for a tool time treat and „Valention“ and „Holzboden“ to complete the picture. Sigue Sigue Shan!

The Berlin-based partnership of long-time friends Steve Bug and Clé has reared many a classy deep house tune in its time - Their classic 'Silicon Ballet' EP from 2007 led us heavily into their sound, combining melodic, blissful elements with the heavy vibes of the old-school acid days.

Mysterious Berlin based label MASK preps its debut release titled 'LEMMY' with four untitled cuts this April. A new series born out of an established German imprint, MASK's enigmatic debut release was produced using a selection of analogue gear including a Moog Slim Phatty, E-mu SP-1200 and Nord Rack 2X. The A side begins with a track built around a tightly programmed drum loop which subtly builds, laced with mix-slicing hats and sub-low kicks whilst stretched out chords dissipate around a crunchy synth lead. The second production is twisted and dusty, using flanging and reverberated effects to lead towards a distorted breakdown, driven from the depths by gusts of full bodied snares and a growling sub line. On the flip, dulcet tones of a female vocalist join lush melodic chords to cleanse the palette, whilst working within the confines of a subdued yet crisp drum machine groove. The final track then strips things back even further, employing minimalist percussive hits and a warm bass lead, leaving space for its soothing female vocals to do the talking. Unknown Artist 'LEMMY EP' drops on MASK this 28th April 2017

For its fifth release, Amsterdam's Taped Artifact offers up a various artists EP that features four tracks including one from the boss, Kevin Arnemann, as well as Hiver, Elmer and Physical Therapy. It is a moody and atmospheric deep techno offering that fits in with the label's ever more singular aesthetic. Up first is Physical Therapy, a producer who since 2012 has put out some fine EPs and LPs on labels like 1080p, Unknown to the Unknown and Liberation Technologies. It is a roomy affair with corrugated mid tempo drums down low and haunting pads up top. Building in intensity with some icy hi hats, it ends up as a ghoulish number that adds real theatre to the floor. Next up is Elmer, key part of Brussels' Bepotel Records crew. Melting techno, wave and dub into raw and expressive new forms, this new cut 'Simple Models' makes great use of analog machinery. Again deep and horizonless, a rippling lead synth line plays off an industrial bass riff as paddy drums roll on below. It's humid and heady stuff, to be sure. Then comes the boss who offers a more dubbed out and bumpy dub­techno track with expansive chords rolling off into the distance and light and airy hi hats dancing in the mid ground. It's one to get floors moving before the Hiver duo of Giuseppe Albrizio and Sergio Caio from labels like Curle and Vidab close things out with the dusty old breakbeats and woozy spaced out synths of 'Intersect.' This is a subtle but impactful EP full of sensitive underground sounds that pack a real punch. At Radikon, we were mesmerized the first time we heard Diamond Mouth’s angelic brand of noisy, dream-like pop and have asked some of our favorite artists to reimagine the Danish duo’s singular
soundscapes for catalogue number 31. Frankey & Sandrino’s rendition of ‘Stare at Me’ shrouds the original’s lumbering
moodiness in layers of impatient percussive salvos and sizzling electric stabs.
A monumental pad infuses the haunting vocals with a sense of urgency, creating a compelling emotional dichotomy to the
hypnotic original.
Setting the dissonant spoken word mantras of ‘Divine Flow’ to a mechanical, throbbing groove with pulsating blips and white noise hits, Ruede Hagelstein retains the original’s menacing quality. In a striking change of pace, the track is enveloped in layers of soothing pads and glittering percussion, artfully mirroring the original’s progression from dissonant uneasiness to divine bliss.
Yubik’s version of ‘Blade of Light’ imbibes the original’s monumentality, while infusing it with a powerful anthemic quality.
His signature drum and synth work adds a beautiful layer of massive, all-encompassing emotionality, and distills the original’s complex soundscapes into raw dance floor energy.
Contrasting to Ruede’s rendition, Jonas Saalbach chose a different route for his version of ‘Divine Flow’. Focusing on the blissful, floaty energy in the second part of the original, Jonas elevates the dreamy
original to shimmering heights of pure bliss set to an effortlessly powerful groove.

Pil Love Records inaugurates its launch with the debut of the first release: Ma Bouche. Athens based DJ/producer Dino MFU joins musical forces with vocalist Alxandra Good for their dance floor shattering single “Not True.” Kicking things off is the original mix of “Not True,” a deep, driving, and forward-thinking dance single perfectly crafted with uplifting moments punctuated by the gorgeous vocals of Alexandra Good. Following suit, dance music pioneer and legend David Morales take the remix reins with his powerful, Afro groove influence vocal remix that will leave international dance floors wanting more! Morales gives us more next with his ‘Dub’ mix of the original that takes his previous vocal mix a bit deeper and darker for those perfect late night dance floor vibes. Finally, we complete the release with Dino MFU’s instrumental mix of “Not True.”

With two standout singles under their belt, Fur Coat now deliver their highly anticipated 12 track album, ‘Polyphony’…

‘Polyphony’ is a term specifically chosen by Fur Coat to emphasise the celebratory concept behind their new album. “Firstly, poly means many, and we are celebrating our 10th anniversary this year,” explains Sergio, “so it was important we reflected that milestone in some way. Beyond that we wanted to create a project with many layers that captures the perfect spectrum, ranging from experimental sounds through to more familiar dancefloor tracks. Whether blending a cinematic feeling, infectious groove, indie vocal or slower BPM electronica, we used multiple layers and patterns to create a textured, forward thinking soundscape. ‘Polyphony’ really does say it all in a single word.”

To further the theme of ‘many’, Sergio and Israel also open up their studio, inviting friends in. From the haunting, indie beauty of ‘Hurricane’ with Running Pine (already a Beatport chart topper), to infectious melodies created alongside Julian Wasserman, Hunter/Game and Sly Faux, or Delhia De France’s seductive vocals, the duo generously and effectively demonstrate the benefit of collaboration.

This is not to say their dedicated compositions should be overlooked, quite the opposite, which they are rightfully proud to point out, “This is our second album and we really wanted to deliver something that showed our musical influences and the evolution of the Fur Coat sound. We’ve come a long way in the past decade, with many more years yet to come - the future is undoubtedly polyphonic!”

Kicking things off we have Hot Creations label boss Jamie Jones who storms back with yet another highly anticipated dancefloor focused release, the Illicit Behaviour EP consists of two originals and two remixes, delivering a diverse collection of tracks with a common theme for setting an infectious groove.

The title track has numerous elements progressing with hypnotic rotation, adding a deep bassline to carry the track. 'New Skool Acid' follows with a rapid assault of percussion, leaving the breakdowns to give the track it's name with funky low-pitched acid stabs, while subtle vocal stutters add extra detail.

Matthias Tanzmann of Moon Harbour takes on remix duties for 'New Skool Acid', letting the percussive elements shine with his own variation that's met with a nostalgic motif. FUSE's Seb Zito to round out the release with his jacking remix, perfect for those peak time moments at any dance.

This archival release on Organic Analogue digs back into the prolific ‘90s period of Swedish techno maverick Jean-Louis Huhta, aka Dungeon Acid. These days he releases on iDEAL, Fit Sound, Börft and Klasse Wrecks, but he cut his techno teeth on labels like Hybrid, Svek and H. Productions. Clad in artwork details by Swedish graffiti legend Nug, Wormhole Of Time comprises unreleased cuts and long out-of-print jams spanning many of Huhta’s aliases. The release also comes with a zine featuring photographs and an interview reflecting on Huhta’s multifarious life in music.

South London based producer Lxury is a subtle experimentalist, pairing house rhythms with eclectic genre blending and risk-taking. Returning to Shall Not Fade's Lost Palms series for a second record, Smart Digital Life EP shows the maturity and complexity of his production while keeping the energy light and summery.

"1722" opens things up with dreamlike pitched vocals that provide a vaporwave feel, hypnotizing over stuttering synths and a wonky beat. "Spin" has an experimental sound palette, a euphoric pulse and a sweet melody, dance music doused in honey.

This sweetness spills over onto the B side; "Pad Ma" sounds like a pumping club track meets a trip to the fairground - unstoppably buoyant and headsy. The vocals in "When I Wake Up" spin around your head before a muscular beat kicks in, the most stripped back and raw sounding of the record. This one is certain to get heads down and feet moving. "Up High" is an expansive closing track, built around fuzzy drums as the clever use of vocal samples creates a melody with a loved-up feeling; it's a tour-de-force of Lxury's delicate production skills.

Amidst a creative explosion of new ventures cutting across genres and forms, Gavin Lynch aka Matador releases the Cyclone Series at hurricane force. All three tracks are fast and furious, power-packed and compelling. Aptly for a noted tech-maestro, even the visual impact of the waveforms has an intriguing architecture. Detail has gone into every aspect of this release and new series, as Matador goes back to his roots, paying homage to the nascent years of his career, crate digging in Dublin’s record stores.

‘Come With Me’ builds and disperses, creating an increasing tension while the fast pace and percussive beats keep up the pressure. Hi hats and distorted chords back an offset beat, with rising sirens in the breakdowns. Each build is marked by a sudden pause and a vocal of the title, with complex percussion, twangy notes, rattling beats, and fast sharp riffs.

'Connected’ also goes for a triple whammy of builds, this time with an increasingly echoing cool, deep bass vocal riff behind assertive hi hats, hissing cymbals and clapping beats, taking off in a superfast joyride of percussion and pizzicato.

In ‘Fidgit’ a loose elasticated bass backs a metronome ticking beat before the full percussion blasts in, to take us on a switchback journey of sharp, low reverberating bass riffs, the breakdowns bringing high melodic tunes, morse-like notes, and imperious builds to further heights.

With a whole new live show in development, and his first ambient album imminent, together with his RUKUS imprint keeping the talent flowing, this year sees Matador embrace each new avenue of creativity.

The next chapter of the Auroom story named Maxvorstadt EP including two stunning original tracks on the A side w/p by talented Nihko. The remixed B side is a masterpiece by Wareika. A truly mind-bending journey into the sonic depths of minimal techno.

AUROOM to be back with a gorgeous three-tracker release featuring for the first time label head Oana Leca together with Subtil head Nils Weimann, thoroughly reinterpreted by Giuliano Lomonte.

A-side settles up ‘Ritmic’ grooves along a +8min meticulously-cadenced creation, followed up by this cerebralish atmosphere on ‘Rambush’.

B-side takes place with Giuliano Lomonte ‘Rambush’ remix which is buckling this EP up through blissful modulars.

Both regulars of the club, arts and queer scenes of New York, Berlin and London of the last three decades, it's surprising Wolfgang Tillmans and Honey Dijon only met five years ago. A walk between clubs in Brooklyn resulted in the two having a mutual interest to collaborate. Busy as both are, the wait was long, but well worth it. This week's release of Honey Dijon's Euphoria Mix of 'Can't Escape into Space' sets the tone for what is left of this summer: Our desire to be together, with friends and strangers, close up on dancefloors, festivals and open airs. Honey's and Wolfgang's shared unapologetic spirit comes alive as Dijon transforms Tillmans's original song into an electrifying dance floor banger. As we can already sense a reawakening of our freedom blowing in the air, even if many clubs remain closed, the two musicians' call to come together again is euphoric and inescapable.
The original version of the song was released last winter in the midst of lockdown, accompanied by a video showing an empty nightclub and its mirror balls performing for the camera, filmed in 2017 by Tillmans, in pre-pandemic Fire Island. A new video accompanies Honey Dijon's Euphoria mix with three vignettes of longing and passion.

The Signs Within is Drunken Kong's debut album on Tronic, featuring collaboration with label boss Christian Smith. With this work Japanese duo prove they are here to stay with some top notch techno. Whilst keeping the groove alive, they deliver some punching bass lines, rolling subs and deep synths.

Dan Shake makes a solid return to his Shake Records imprint with three tunes ready to make an impact. ‘Paper’ and ‘Bounce’ are tinged with records from Dance Mania, hip house and acid house legend Tyree Cooper, and a cheeky trance mix Dan made with Yomanda ‘Synth and Strings’ in mind, one of the last track he played out to a crowd.

‘Paper’ and ‘Bounce’ are the reflection of an artist still feeling the vibe from his last gigs, which saw Dan make a debut at Printworks, and coin one of the last live Mixmag labs before the world went into lockdown.

Dan explains - “I made these tracks in April 2020, immediately after the sudden cutoff of nightlife. My last weekend of gigs was incredible and left me with a big room, high energy mentality. I’d been listening to and playing out a lot of ghetto house and Dance Mania style records which no doubt pushed these tracks in that direction. Faster, harder and heavier than the majority of the music, ‘Paper’ and ‘Bounce’ gave me a hit of a sound I was craving and had just been immersed in. Directly inspired by an urge to be back on a dance floor, the thought of playing them out feels slightly surreal, but something that gives me tingles thinking about too.”

Did Dan know he’d sit on this music for over a year before releasing it or playing it out? Perhaps not. However, timing is key and clubs and festivals within reach, he’s waited patiently for a time he knows they’ll hit the sweet spot we’ve all been missing.

Jad & The is an Australian producer based in Berlin, where he's been putting out consistently cool and sleek dusty house on the likes of Toy Tonics and Banoffee Pies. Jad is now joining Shall Not Fade for his debut on their Seasons Series imprint, showcasing a selection of tracks that ooze space age sounds and cybernostalgia.

Space Swingerz EP feels like the soundtrack to a classic science fiction film; opening with "Dance (Can't Dance Mix)", the most house-oriented track on the record, a grooving and smooth party piece that has just a hint of the electro inflections to come. The title track itself is a swirling electro track filled with popping futuristic synths and spaced out pads, leading into "Industrial I-Beam" that swaps out the ambience for a deep funky bassline - headsy and ready for a darkened Berlin club. "Circum Navigator" is a clean-cut but hypnotic piece of nineties revival, while "OK, Computer" taps into the sci-fi edge of the EP, the sounds of early internet imaginations of the future.

Next round for Another Picture. After exploring the highs in electricity and the lows of the deep grounds we go further into things. Sensing vibration of the fire below and turning it into a never-ending evolution of sound and groove. This is what you might know about Losoul tracks - and here you can't go wrong either. There are scattered artefacts of the city bringing vibe and inspiration - the streets, the people, the concrete, the action - it's all in between. Then there's the ever-changing beauty of nature out there on a day to just leave things as they are. Soul, movement and emotion. Again Losoul gives a strong example of experience from his longterm career in house and techno production and performing. Two pieces of music timeless in many ways. See you on the dancefloor. The debut “Moover” EP from the young Bulgarian producer and DJ - Raredub (Petar Vasev) on Sofia Records features energetic and emotional music that finds its place equally in those hands-in-the-air moments in the middle of the dancefloor, as well as laying on a carpet in the afterhours.


Far from formulaic fast-food dance clichés, SOF005 offers fine and delicate layers but as always with its base in spicy street rawness.
Playing the records from start to finish one finds immersed in care-free optimistic melodies, passing through deeper and dreamy sequences, towards stripped down and honest groove. All garnished with the youthful energy that Raredub generates.

Mind Control is the amalgamation of Samo DJ and Morgan Wright. That formed while on tour together in Ausralia during 2018. After spending a day at Healesville WildLife Sanctuary.Samo and Morgan were inspired by the playful movements of kangaroos, wombats and foxes and decided to interpret these together in a hot studio on a 39 degree day in coburg. The results of which were two functional dance floor tracks combining the signature rhythms of Samo DJ and the delicate melodies Morgan is known for.

The latest from Dam Swindle's Sound Support alias, Méhari, will keep you warm and bouncy, wailing and flailing, all through the fall and winter.

Big electro energy on this five-track EP. Funky, sassy synth melodies snaked around tight and punchy drums that instantly make you wiggle like a worm.

It starts with the title track, a thumper with a herky-jerky swing, then slides into a slightly more melodious and noodly territory before completing with “Detox Your Feelings,” a high-speed Hi-NRG and Italo disco rocket ship off this planet into interstellar space.

The seventh volume of Drumcode's annual A-Sides compilation hits with no less than 10 debuts for the label, with Charlotte de Witte, ANNA, B.Traits and Scuba's SCB project, among the collection of topline artists to release their maiden productions on the imprint.

Over two decades into its lifespan, Drumcode keeps evolving and excelling, pushing techno forward while remaining wholly respectful of its roots. This reputation for progression was further fuelled this summer with its inaugural festival at the NDSM Docklands in Amsterdam, featuring a long list of heavyweights including Nicole Moudaber, Joseph Capriati, Amelie Lens and Ida Engberg, among others.

As ever, the A-Sides compilation provides a timely opportunity to showcase the full range of its sonic repertoire, with Adam Beyer scrupulously selecting unreleased tracks that have taken prime position in his sets over recent months.

Who better to step up to the stage to open Part 3 then Bart Skils, who offers a work of consummate skill in the form of 'West Of The Moon'.

Next up on the A side Secret Cinema team up Reinier Zonneveld to present 'Pain Thing' an electric techno workout featuring their trademark analogue bass & synth lines.

The B side sees Drumcode regulars Pig&Dan supply their powerful composition 'Pushing On' & in true Pig&Dan fashion it takes no prisoners from the get go.

Last but not least & rounding off part 3 Berlin-based producer & emerging talent Juliet Fox is brought into the fold with the infectiously engaging 'Wanted Me'.

Everyone's favourite trans-national non-denominational dance imprint joins forces with the dark lords of CALYPSO - the ever prolific Mexican Inigo Vontier and his Argentinian cohort Thomass Jackson.

Few producers are hitting the nail on the head of the zeitgeist with quite as much impact as these two, and their label has crystallized their sound. Frequently play-listed by the likes of Red Axes, DJ Tennis, Chloé and more, Calypso have found a niche for their hard-hitting, voodoo-licious tracks.

Inigo drops fierce power-chug that will melt minds at peak-time moments at Mayan Warrior or MN Roy, Mr. Jackson turns in eminently playable mid-tempo grooves sure to fit in to the early and late hours in all kinds of sets.

Tamango Records 12th release is undoubtedly its biggest one to date because Yaya's debut album "You Decide" is getting a massive remix treatment by 4 real heavyweights of the house music panorama.
The first remix is entrusted to a long friend of the label and one of the most iconic figures over the last 20 years, Loco Dice. The Desolat boss heads to trippy directions for his version of "Black Mamba", which is dominated by bubbling minimal percussions, swingy dirty hi-hats and pressing shakers, wrapping an 8+ minutes ride that will keep you hooked on the dancefloor.

Next up, Spanish groover Cuartero turns "One Way" into a heady dancefloor tool that features swinging rhythms and energetic grooves throughout, mainly focusing on the mighty bassline and a compelling bold pace.

On the flip, FUSE head-honcho Enzo Siragusa re-arranges the meandering moves from “Be Yourself” into a tremendous basements destroyer, within which the vocals are combined with hi-pitched synths to increase the drama right before an impressive "hands up, heads down" drop pours on the crowd with a grain of UKG flavour.
Rounding off the package is the formidable S.A.M. who delivers one of his many club anthems: the original bassline bursts back into life again, and so do the juicy vocals that inevitably lead the track into a massive breakdown guided by his trademark catchy lead to form something that’s built solely for the dancefloor.

Next release on the label is a collaboration between ISSUES x Woodland studios who run a competition with more than 100 entries on remix duties for Detlef’s “Dub Clap” and Campbell Fryer’s “MOODY”. Honcho of Woodlands Iglesias delivered a strong remix of Dub Clap with heavy basslines, rolling beats and the vocals slightly pitched to create a darker vibe. RN ISMO remix of Dub Clap was definitely close to the sound of ISSUES with a driving bassline, minimal beats, quick drops and a playful vocal breakdown.

On Campbell Fryer’s MOODY the first remixer is Woody who delivered a super groovy remix with a funky bassline, straight beat with swing hihats and atmospheres at the background merging nicely with the beats, using the riff in a different and extra playful way that creates an amazing breakdown. The last remixer for MOODY is Shuski who delivered a housy version of the track. Straight funky beats with a big driving bassline, synth stabs and arpeggios through out the track and some wicked breakdowns with clever fills before the track kicks back in.

Network’s 30th Anniversary celebration continue with a dig in the vaults finding three timeless treasures from UK Techno pioneers Nexus 21.

The “Progression Logical” 12” highlights how skilfully the Stafford duo - Mark Archer and Chris Peat - combined their love of Detroit inspired Techno with North of London Bleep culture.

This is the first time the much loved original mix of “Self Hypnosis“ (that track with the ice cream vans sound)has been released on a commercial 12”. Up till now it could only be found on a sampler 12” for one of Network’s iconic bio-rhythm albums, and on that LP Itself, with a remix being done for a subsequent 12”.

That original still sounds amazing. The 1990 recording was made at Derby’s much lauded Square Dance Studio,

Next year saw a move to nearby Nottingham and Network (nothing to do with the label) Studio where “Mind Machines” was conceived. This is its’ debut on any format ever!

Listening to something so epic now, that decision not to issue it at the time seems bizarre,but as Mark recalls: “The mad thing is it’s just a live mix because we wanted to listen to something in the car. We never finished it. That was live with us muting things, and and me changing patterns on the drum machines and turning the sounds up and down. There are so many small mistakes in it, but it adds to the character of the tune.”

A later “proper” mix was never done as Nexus 21 turned into Altern 8 and life got ravey.

The third track is well and truly an historic piece of Techno history - Carl Craig’s first ever remix no less.

Nexus 21’s “Still Life” was conceived as a homage to Inner City’s “Big Fun” and “Good Life”. Upon signing to Network, the label thought a deconstruction by Inner City’s Kevin Saunderson would complete the circle. A kind of Stafford does Detroit and Detroit does Stafford back with 808 and 909 knobs on odyssey.

Kevin obliged big time, and arranged for other remixes by then young Motor City hippersnappers MK and Carl. As the intro to his version proclaims - Mental!
