Rogue D & Memoryman AKA Uovo team up for their latest release this September with the Electric Safari EP. The four-tracker marks their collaborative debut on Crosstown Rebels, fresh from Total Black on Rebellion in 2019, and includes two remixes by longstanding German talent, Roman Flügel.

That tribal sound is felt right from the get go, as rustling hats marry up next to whirring synth pulses throughout. Ethereal keys chime beside resonant kicks whilst bell-like tones march on in the background. Roman Flügel’s remix takes on a more minimal-inspired feel, where a punchy underlying bassline perfectly compliments the celestial chord solos, before proceedings get stripped back further on the B Side with a dub version of each track.

Italian-native Rogue D is a well-loved figure in the contemporary house sphere. Renowned as one of half of Flashmob, his back-catalogue boasts EPs on an array of the scene’s leading labels, including Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels and Defected to name a few. Fellow Italian-mainstay Memoryman AKA Uovo has garnered a global following in a career that spans decades. One third of the legendary Pastaboys collective, his productions have found a home on Snatch! Records and Rebellion in recent times. Roman Flügel has been a champion of Germany’s electronic music scene since the nineties. A prolific producer, the likes of Gerd Janson’s Running Back and Sven Väth’s Cocoon Recordings have welcomed his releases with open arms over the years.

Deetron’s debut EP for Running Back is an amalgam of some of the key virtues of both parties involved: the evocative and glorious power of the early days of rave (see cover art for further reference), emotional house, melodious techno, a beatless beauty and a firmly polished dance floor. Over the years, the Swiss producer has proven that his skill set and philosophy (underpinned by his mastery of the DJ trade) is perfect for such a mixture.

The Unclear Records imprint has carved out quite the reputation over the past few years with an already impressive back catalogue featuring material from Juju + Jordash, Rick Wade, Gigi Masin and Gerry Read. Here thought we see the welcome return of the labels 'A Tribute To Klang Club' series with its second contribution, following the inaugural various artists package that boasted material from Baby Ford, Roman Fluegel and more.
Move D opens with 'Rise!' and delivers a typically brooding, hypnotic number before Fred P follows up with 'Lush Life' laying down raw acidic bass and ethereal pads alongside shuffled rhythms. On the flip Christopher Rau's 'Unclear Joint' ups the energy levels via weighty drums and intricate use of string, bass and vocal samples before label-heads Easy To Remember round off the package with 'I Don't Know' a stripped back house cut led by sparse percussion, jazzy synth licks and soft pads.

Red Axes make a triumphant return to Phantasy with a further trio of expertly-crafted leftfield club tracks. Having produced several of the label’s best-loved club moments such as ‘Sipoor’ and ‘Sound Test’, the Israeli duo easily surpass their charismatic reputation across ‘Some Lights’.

‘Some Lights’ stomps forward to reveal the footprints of a rave giant, yet, even Red Axes at their most anthemic unfold the unexpected. Bleary-eyed chords stretch wistfully into the far-distance, as a male voice compounds the mood; “Sunrise”. Suddenly, the Axes pull the rug and reveal the howling club wolf hidden behind the sheep’s dress code, plunging dancers into a heavy trip of vintage rave chords and EBM-drum play.

The more psychedelically inclined will meanwhile find plenty to embrace in the wide, kaleidoscopic canyons of ‘Skulls’, a deeper-still groove machine that conjures up images of untamed sonic plains, Morricone-esque chords unexpectedly synthesised with psychobilin. Finally, ‘Professor Grasstov’ finds the duo loosening up into more playful form still, dragging the good name of this notable academic on a loose, breaks'y trip full of baggy energy (and complete with audible liquid experiments).

Sebastian Voigt is a new name to us but after this fantastic release on our Brazilian friends label we will keep an eye on him.

The latest release from Sum Over Histories comes from a new project by label head Frank Beckers and his partner Birgit.

Tension, the first EP from Flageolet, is a 4-track experimental project that combines field recordings and soundscapes with keys, bass, harmonies and percussion. The result is emotive, provoking electronica that’s lightyears away from Frankey’s usual house and techno projects, yet his energy and production style makes his influence
recognisable.

Frankey and Birgit have been collaborating ever since they met in 2001 when Birgit sang vocals on several of Frankey’s tracks, including hugely successful “Switch.” The pair enjoyed collaborating so much that Frankey taught Birgit some basic Ableton skills and gave her a field recorder. Birgit would collect sound-sources, and her and Frankey would select their favorites together. They’d start each track with the most unique sound they could find, which Frankey would build on using keys, synths, percussion and harmonies.

Following the completely sold out 'Imagine - A - Nation' and 'Le Fusion' reissues, Anotherday brings you a very special release from the vault of the enigma that is Spencer Kincy, AKA Gemini - we are very proud, and extremely excited to present Gemini's first 4 releases, lovingly re-mastered!

* Originally released on Relief Records; the Chicago techno label headed up by Cajmere, these releases were Gemini's introduction into the worlds of house and techno, and contain some of his most vital works.

* As one of Chicago's most mysterious and revered characters, the story of Gemini, aka Spencer Kincy has become something of a myth in recent years - blazing a trail throughout the 90's, prolifically releasing over 200 tracks from 1994 to 1999, Spencer's music had shades innovation and soul few of his peers could match. Then, suddenly, at the peak of his career, he disappeared.

* As before, this album has been licensed directly from the man himself, and the money made from its exploitation will go directly to him.

KiNK presents Home! This aptly titled EP is the debut release on the newborn label Sofia. Founded by Strahil Velchev and Konstantin Petrov, Sofia is not only the physical location where this music was made, the city where they met and developed as artists, but also a paradox that is reflected in the art and music that comes from the place. Beautiful and ugly at the same time, clean and dirty, brutal as well as romantic, it’s a place where aesthetically seemingly incompatible styles come together in a twisted, yet unifying form. The photographs for the sleeves are made by influential local selector DJ Valentine, effortlessly capturing the local reality.

Those pieces of a paradox also are reflected in the music. The typical fine-grit of KiNK’s production skills meets his love for the elements of surprise and the classic building blocks and plaster of house and techno to create something that is very much his own, while breathing the spirit of early days and pioneering times. Hinged just before and after peak time, the tracks on this EP are cohesive, made to last and rounded off by the contemplativeness of yet another collaboration with Rachel Row called „The Beauty“. The sound of Mirror Touch can best be described by a moment in time when mid 90's trax records from the US Midwest combined techno's brutalist grooves with layers of emotive harmonies harking back to Detroit's funk, soul and jazz legacy. Then techno sound hurtled forward, blazing new paths of experimentation, minimalism and hypnosis. MirrorTouch points back to that magic moment when Techno emerged from Detroit, with a series of hardware tracks that combine emotional rawness with the flow of 21st century techno.

A free and unconstrained expression – permanent and cutting-edge creativity - complex and amazing personality, Mr Oizo is always where you don't expect him. On the popular peaks and in the depths of the avant-garde, he counts his fans as well as his sceptics with its sounds and images of surprise, destabilizing and disturbing.

In his universe, neutrality does not exist. The bridges, and bridges between sound, image and writing are perpetually destroyed to be reinvented.

Young Irish-producer Rebuke continues his rapid ascent to the top with two original productions on Hot Creations, primed and ready for the dancefloor.

Rebuke recalls being worried that Along Came Polly may have been perceived as being 'a bit too weird', but once it caught the attention of Jamie Jones, there was no stopping it. He says that the hype surrounding this EP 'is something I've never experienced before...and it always get a great reaction'.

On Along Came Polly, Rebuke showcases his innate ability to craft a weirdly, wonderful slice of techno. On the B-side, Rolo is a much housier affair, weaving together a bouncier bassline and sultry vocal stab.

The alias of Reuben Keeney, Rebuke, has only been in business for a short while, but his efforts have already proved to be fruitful. He has garnered support from the likes of Nic Fanciulli and released on labels including Saved and DFTD, as well as having a successful club night under his belt, where highly regarded names such as Camelphat, Darius Syrossian, Ejeca and Huxley have all played.

Cymawax is proud to present the work of the blood brothers (Luca & Daniele Ciaccia) Sibling. Inside Outside EP is an expression of the brothers passion for modern dance-floor friendly dub sonorities, and an intriguing introduction to who they are musically. Remixer Marco Bruno with his 'Dub Vision' completes the record giving it a proper techno touch with a sick groove and stunning approach to these warm and hypnotizing atmospheres.

The first track signs the return of Ordinaire homeboy El Kazed. After a successful release on the first EP, he delivers a hypnotic as well as groovy track. The duo RBDP follows up with "Virginia", inviting us into deeper and mysterious territories.

Boasting a double-strength attitude, the B side welcomes two emerging talents. Enrico Dragoni provides a dance floor heater, synthesizing syncopated rhythms with sweaty sub-basses and elements of deepness. Last but not least, Mike Jung goes back in time with an ode to early techno vibes that without a doubt will shake old school heads!

’Stronger’ is a party-infused piano House track. Upbeat, drenched in energy and feel-good vibes. With the original version already well past 1m streams on Spotify alone, Dombresky & Boston Bun's incredible 'Stronger' gets some serious remix treatment from Danny Howard, Tensnake and Mat.Joe.

Radio 1’s Danny Howard kicks off the remixes with a high-energy, club ready remix made for the dancefloor. Hot off the back of writing his 2nd studio album, Tensnake delivers a trademark feel-good vibe by taking this to the daytime pool parties and sun-drenched terraces of Ibiza and although they seem like a distant dream at the moment, with one listen to this we're instantly transported to the White Isle! Mat.Joe take things a little tougher and add their unique blend of tough, techy drums, quirky percussion and bundles of energy alongside those unmistakable pianos and vocal hooks from the original.

Chengdu-based Chinese female techno producer/DJ L.Y.Li (aka Diva Li) is releasing her first 12” EP “Escape” on Ran Music’s sub-label Ran Groove. This EP includes 4 melodic techno tracks she has recently created. These dance tracks are full of feminine energy and minimalistic melodic sequencers, not only delivering the massive sound scape of classic techno music, but also satisfying dance floor’s endless pursue of a good groove. The emotional synth melodies and vocal samples are evidence of the special approach to dance music she has as a female producer. Being an experienced DJ, L.Y.Li also proves her skills in the studio with this EP.

L.Y.Li (aka Diva Li) is an electronic music producer and DJ currently living in Chengdu, China. An excellent vocalist, she is also an active figure in China’s techno music scene and has been considered as one of the most popular and respected female DJs in China’s top techno clubs such as Lantern (Beijing) and TAG (Chengdu). Having playing in clubs for many years, L.Y.Li has her special point of view towards electronic music and dance music, with her music always being full of rich and exquisite emotions, intense and minimalistic melodies as well as her own soulful vocal lines. These characteristics have guaranteed her uniqueness within the country’s techno music scene.

Mason teams up with Camelphat cohort Jem Cooke to deliver ‘Drowning In Your Love’ on Toolroom, backed by a remix from label boss Mark Knight.

‘Drowning In Your Love’ was born out of a writing session in London between the Dutchman and the songstress in which the two wrote three tracks in a day, with the creative chemistry resulting in this sophisticated house jam becoming the second single to be released from Mason’s brand-new album, ‘Frisky Biscuits’. Having loved the track so much himself, Toolroom head Mark Knight also joins the package as he gets his hands dirty on remix duties.

The duo’s original production centres around an infectious live funk riff imbued with Mason’s on-point production and a powerful vocal performance from Jem Cooke, whilst Knight’s interpretation sees the Toolroom boss unleash his inner mirror ball; adding rich strings, a classy percussion break and a stretched-out arrangement that would rock Studio 54 if only it could.

The prodigious power of PAWSA returns for another vinyl only, stripped down, big room roller.

Locking into a pulsing groove, PAWSA brings a heavyweight kick and skimming percussion to the floor. Tuned hats and a rumbling sub bass power the way for a mystifying, reverbed vocal, laced with emotion to draw listeners even deeper. Couple that with an epic bass breakdown and it’s got future club anthem written all over it. For those that want to leave the vocal at the door, flip it to find a dub version.

Pure punchiness from PAWSA once again, continuing to showcase his undeniable ability to carve out captivating dancefloor bombs.

Frankfurt native Sascha Dive returns to Sven Jaeger’s electronic music powerhouse CUE Music with “Rhythm Mode” EP, bringing forward three fresh cuts, one of which is made in collaboration with Robert Owens. A remix of “Children Of The Light” by the Romanian duo Heerd is also included on the album and today we invite you to enjoy its deep vibes in full-length exclusively on feeder sound. This release will arrive soon on vinyl and it will also be available on several digital platforms later on, adding even more magic to an amazing discography that includes works signed by Artur Nikolaev, GruuvElement’s, Aney F, Dubphone, Christian Burkhardt, CL-ljud, Nektar Agu and Triad, among others.

Sascha Dive has made quite an impression on the international house and techno scenes over the last ten years, always dropping powerful DJ sets and inspiring productions with labels like Bondage Music, Rhythm Cult, Deeperfect Records, Cocoon, Raum…musik, Minimood and his own Deep Vibes Recordings, to name only a few. Strongly influenced by the godfathers of deep house like Moodyman, Chez Damier or Ron Trent and following the first waves of top-notch German house imprints, he has progressed to a serious floor fighter since his first official appearance in 2007.

While the original version of the track is designed with solid microhouse and dub influences, the remix drops the classic 4/4 rhythm and goes full dubwise, introducing a stripped-down sound lead by slow-paced drumming patterns, introspective background textures, warm reverberated effects and eerie vocal samples, perfect for lazy afternoons at a beach party or insightful afterhours anywhere. The other two tracks are equally enjoyable, exploring the empowering sounds of house, deep house and tech-house music while incorporating the artist distinct vision and production skills with style and precision.

Dub and minimal sounds are interweaved in the second release of the TEVOL label. On the A-side you can find mystery and a beautiful dub story from artists based in Israel, the United States and Japan. The B-side brings you incredible energy based on unique dub-techno elements with a punchy kick and groovy bass line.

"One thing is certain.. Herbert activated the fast forward function! Andhim can use the -button from the keyboard with their track "Better Days" to manually activate the form feed for the party papers. They can only execute this function through entering the value of the amount of vinyl.

Super Flu and Angelov on the other hand use the manual backward-function. The -button in their track "ErQ" can be used for the volume regulation module. Apsara also activates the manual backward-function through entering the value of their track "Simply Red" and then push the -button.

Zoo Braszil can print the world if he combines his track "Step By Step" with the manual or automatic spec sheet print function. If all the tracks are programmed in the registration, an error will occur.

Presenting a very special and unique collection of electronic and dance music aimed at assisting and honouring our brave and skilled NHS frontline workforce in this most challenging of times. Artists of all walks of life and of all musical persuasions and styles have contributed hand-picked tracks for inclusion on Care4Life free of charge. Through the challenges of the Covid19 pandemic we have all developed a new understanding and awareness about the role our frontline health professionals undertake, and as a nation we are all united in our appreciation of the incredible work they have delivered in the face of much adversity and pressure in the last couple of months. We hope the proceeds from this amazing collection of music can contribute to easing that pressure in some way.

Care4Life features lots of new, exclusive and unheard music from the vaults, hard drives and archives of UK artists as diverse as The Chemical Brothers, Nathan Fake, Groove Armada, Joe Goddard and Pete Tong alongside tracks from Radio Slave, Locossolus (DJ Harvey), Matthew Herbert, Crooked Man, Daniel Avery and many more. Care4Life is a truly varied and diverse listening experience that not only mirrors the collective talents involved, it wholeheartedly celebrates the openness and love that the NHS has shown us all at some stage throughout most of our lives here in Britain and beyond.

In the continued spirit of people coming together in this time of need the Care4Life project aims to give some much needed support to these frontline workers from our fellow artists and friends in the music industry and its surrounding community. Above Board Distribution is working in conjunction with Dispersion PR and Your Army Music is ensuring that 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this product, will be donated directly to NHS Charities Together (registered charity no.1186569). NHS Charities Together has been consulted throughout this process and are proud to be an official fundraising ‘commercial participator’.

After the 13th tape release, HMD Records has compiled it’s first EP ever - with various artists, from Helsinki and Oslo. The music on the record is made by friends and colleagues of the Oslo based label and party promoter, HMD. Four tracks that vary in tempo and genre according to the artist’s different production styles.

All tracks are connected by deep chords and a passionate drive, labeled with (slightly naive) working titles about various stages of love. Very romantic, keeping in mind that HMD stands for "Hjemme med Dama" that roughly translates to “home with the missus” in a tongue in cheek kind of irony.

First album release from italian house instigator Enrico Mantini which is going to set another mark in his discography. 8 of Mantini's best tracks from years 2012 - 2014 personally chosen by the artist and splitted on this 180gr double coloured vinyl release. Debut one from Mantini's very own label Down Da Mountains.

Pluto is the moniker of British born producer Rolo McGinty, a name you might not be familiar with. In the early 1990s Rolo was responsible for some of the most forward thinking and exciting records to be released on labels such as Mr. C's Plink Plonk, Irdial, Octopus and ITP. His albums 'Rising' and 'Demolition Plates' are unsung examples of some of the finest House and Techno and speak to the creativity and originality of the producer. For WRECKS035, Klasse Wrecks are very proud to present a repress of two of Pluto's most sought after tracks'. Originally released in 1994 on Rare Grooves (a sub label of USA Import Records) the EP Pluto's Retreat compromised of two versions of 'Anna' both of which are presented here remastered for modern times. 'Anna' and 'Anna Two' are great examples of House music of the highest quality; brash, groovy and unrelenting both tracks are destined for dancefloor destruction worldwide. Also included in the package is a previously unreleased version of 'Point Blank', the original of which appeared on the 'Demolition Plates' album in 1997.

Buckle in and prepare the spaceship for take-off, the next serving from London based ‘Nuances de Nuit’ has landed, following the same four-artist format and high energy, dancefloor-focused cuts as its six predecessors.

Kicking things off is DJOKO with Feed Me - a punchy, groove-laden slab of forward-thinking house music that is sure to ignite any dancefloor. Following up is something that could easily be mistaken as coming from an obscure 1994 Italian record, but instead is Bogota based Nicolas Duque with Thumb Stopper, a slick blend of bouncy basslines and blissful organs. On the flip is Occibel’s Rocket, a high-tempo cut filled with twitchy modulated stabs and a mid-track switch up that’s best enjoyed in a packed room with strangers. Last up is Space Tours head honcho Mitch Wellings, providing something a little different in Logical, perfect for the early sets or afters. Do not sleep.

A Swedish affair on this new Boss Musik release by the Flord King. Three warm, rich, funky, modern house tracks on the 9th release on the lovely label curated by Johanna Schneider. The opening track "Shakkuri" has Flord King expertly demonstrating his trademark groove, letting the confident bassline lead the way through a complicated blueprint of fluttering techy sounds, with hi-hats and snares in constant dialogue. Spanning just over 10 minutes - King serves up a seductive slice of eternity. A sneaky sample appears on B1 in "Gucki", delivering subliminal messages throughout. Together with a loose, trippy Fender Rhodes-melody, King has bumped up the bassline a notch, turning the cut into a crunchy organ-sounding minimal, yet super-bouncy, house track. The subtle voice continues together with "the Flordian-groove" in B2, but this time King dives into deeper territory: every sonic space in "Flory" is filled, yet it is airy and reduced. Against a backdrop of dreamy flute-like instruments, Flord King paints a gentle cooling image on the closing track, creating a soothing dancefloor experience.

...and the beat goes on. after the first two deep cuts on WRM we offer you this little peaktime gem. Frankey from D-Nox & Beckers fame got together with Sandrino to build this dancefloor house cut. For remixes we're really happy and proud to have the one and only Phonique. He turns the original into a bigger festivalsummerdancefloorrave anthem without loosing the original feeling. The second remix by Daniel Rajkovic goes more into depth with a monster hypnotic bassline. And as we already said, words are all in vain, so have a listen and satisfy yourself... The Canadian alchemist is back on Afterlife with three transcendent cuts.
Focused on fusing organic sounds and textures with an electronic foundation, Tone Depth returns with a follow-up to, ‘Ibn Sina’, his outing on the third Realm of Consciousness compilation. The title track ‘Walls’ entices us into Tone Depth’s ethereal world, as the pulsating rhythm and electrifying atmosphere is complemented by Gorj’s emotionally-charged vocals. Once you step into the airy embrace of this alternate dimension, you encounter ‘Nero’, a track that is defined by its sombre tone and highly affecting arrangement - goosebumps incoming. Lastly, ‘Terra’ takes us into that strange purgatory between euphoria and melancholy, encouraging complete detachment from the physical realm...

On the A-side, Júlio Cruz from Cologne is bringing some soulful vibes to the dancefloor again. „Where is Your Luv“ combines some sparkling discosounds with lots of filters and rhythmic layers until a touch of acid kicks in. The Remix comes from Oliver Aden & Luis Cruz (Karussell Records) Feat Ufuk K with the Club Banger Version.

The B-side is written by the Italian Brothers Dario La Mazza & N.i.O., based in Zürich Switzerland. Coming Out with three wonderful Tracks predestined for your summer. Influence from Disco to 80s , the beat grabs you instantly, matching atmospheric vocals to soap up any dance floor.

The talented producer drive us into his musical scenario made of layers of progy and ethereal melodies, building up a crescendo of intensity and deepness from the beginning to the end to this EP, all well soaked of rooted bass lines and snappy drum grooves.

Picking up right where EP #1 left off, EP #2 kicks things off with a bang. First up is Catz 'N Dogz and Yotam Avni's for 'Blakkat'; a high pace burner ideally suited for dance floors from Panorama Bar to under the LED's of Watergate and every club in-between. The duo return with the 'Bright Version' of 'Afterglow' for the second cut on EP 2 and aptly titled, it pushes an intense, glitter filled ride to it's limits. Embarking onto the B-side, 'O.A. Peas' from heavy hitter Eats Everything & Lord Leopard take a trip down memory lane with a heavily sample based feel good tune that will absolutely demolish dance floors worldwide. Rounding out the EP is a final collaboration between Catz 'N Dogz and Reno Wurzbacher with 'To Ma People' and it's by far the smoothest and most laid back tune of the bundle, but never does it let you rest as a mesmerizing groove and lush atmospherics tell a deep, complex tale of late nights and early mornings.

Shan's third outing for Running Back is an ode to a time when "house" was characterized by old grooves and nu ones alike. Here you get a well-rounded treatment for the times before, during and after the rave. Break beats included. Featured In Gerd Janson's Fabric 89 mix.

Swift newcomer Tommier Joyson makes his debut on Hot Creations this July with his first single, Clap Your Hands. On the B side, Eastenderz boss East End Dubs makes a long-awaited return to the label as remixer.

The title track leads the charge. Manifesting as a fast-paced, techy-leaning number, reverberating vocals reside atop driving kick-hat combos whilst whispering hats create a signature four-four rhythm. East End Dubs’ remix completes proceedings, showcasing the UK-minimal sound with which he’s become best known. Stripped-back, looping and built for the late-night hours, it’s a seven-minute cut that you can’t help but groove to.

Tommier Joyson may be new to the global electronic music circuit but the quality of his sound speaks for itself. The rising talent has landed his first-ever release on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations, a remarkable feat that sets the tone for a standout 2021. Eastenderz label head East End Dubs has become one of the most in-demand artists in recent years. A prolific producer, his work has found a welcome home on Fuse, Hot Creations and many more besides, whilst regular performances across Ibiza and beyond have cemented his reputation as an international talent.

Five years on from the quartet of special records which marked Innervisions’ 50th release, the Berlin label is closing out the 2010s with a triptych of talent, for IV90. The three separate EPs which make up release #IV90 feature the sonic narratives of Bruno Deodato alias Trikk, the return of “Karma Baby” hitmaker Jimi Jules, and Copenhagen’s Denis Horvat matriculating from ​Secret Weapons alumna to standalone debut.

Hotly tipped newcomer Yulia Niko joins the Watergate collective, delivering an exciting label debut to mark the occasion. The Russian-born, Berlin-based artist has piqued the ears of heads with quality releases on Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and her own TochnoTechno imprint. She steps up for Watergate Records with an inspiring maiden EP, augmented by remixes from YokoO and Francesco Mami. ‘Manifesto’ is the intriguing opener, as intergalactic synths rub shoulders with a chugging groove for an ultra-cool finish. ‘Passion’ is heavy on vibes, pairing an enchanting vocal with a colourful bed of percussion. YokoO contributes a subterranean ‘Defragmentation’ remix of ‘Manifesto’ on the minimal tip, before adding some warmth to the palette teaming up with Francesco Mami for a ‘Vegas Mix’ primed for the afterhours with its deep grooves and shuffling beats. ‘Hurts So Slow’ reinforces Niko’s versatility, imbuing a dusty house vibe primed for late night sessions.

House music legend Ian Pooley readies ‘Studio A Pt. 1’, the first of a three release series, for Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint this September.

Active since the early 90s, the German DJ/producer has released on the likes of Force Inc, V2 Records, and his own Pooledmusic, as well as remixing for the likes of Daft Punk, Deee-Lite, Carl Cox and many more.

Here though, Pooley arrives on Rekids with his first ever contribution to the label, delivering three direct and grooving house tracks.

Leading the release, ‘Basic Juno’ sees modulating synth lines deftly placed around chunky drums accompanied by pulsing basslines and shimmering pads, before ‘Close Your Eyes’ brings a dose of trippy vocals and shuffling percussion amongst interplaying hardware for a punchy start to the B side. ‘303 (2 Bars)’ brings the release to a close with pounding drum machines, meaty acid lines, and blissful leads.

The first EP from Belin Based DJ Quest’s Label LA NOTA DEL DIABLO.

German techno and house composer Tim Engelhardt takes you on a deep dive into his peculiar-yet-relatable world of musical meanderings with ‘Idiosynkrasia’. True to the nature of idiosyncrasy, the album is more than the sum of its parts.

‘Idiosynkrasia’ is an ode to the inspiration Tim finds in all kinds of spaces and places: each cut woven from the same cloth of meticulously formed melodic structures and expertly crafted harmonies, gently amplified and unfettered by genre. From the opening track it’s clear that Tim has a profound awareness of rhythm and sound, his background as a pianist lending an easy fluidity to the album as it expands and contracts to tell a story which is gentle, humble and reflective.

Using granular processed recordings of piano, floating strings and other instruments to transmute emotions like love, nostalgia, vulnerability and longing, the album shifts through meditative, flow-state inducing tracks, morphing into cuts designed for dancing it all out.

Take it straight, mix it up or down: ‘Idiosynkrasia’ is cinematic in form and orchestral in structure, each track is marked with Tim’s unique sonic signature and careful attention to instrumentation.

Inhale the spirited and lively flow; exhale and surrender into epiphanic moments: this is an album which will catalyse deep breaths, reflection and a different way of thinking.

Straining the boundaries of electronic music once more is the innovative, Varme imprint. The futuristic label have been constructing a reputable platform in recent years, propelling underground sounds. For the sixth release they call on Colombian beatmaker, Buraye, four unique tracks that blur the lines between genres, all boasting direct dance floor energy that packs a punch

'I Believe' uses dubby drums and an infectious vocal to really tear things apart before dropping into a melodic synth section that will make anyone move. Tantra's melodic groove synths help this early morning track really come into its own before the main melodic section, accompanied by strings, will take any clubber to their own dimension.

Kyiv label Criminal Practice presents its foremost, the third compilation of dance smash hits. The release starts with the sharp and slightly ruffian track "Underground Legends" by the duo Virtual Reality, which consists of the co-founders of the Ukrainian label - Ghetto Sunrise and Roma Khropko. Then it's time for invited guest Kebab Traume and his composition "Tribe" - full of acid and raw tribal energy.

The B-side immediately adds intensity with the creation of another participant in Criminal Practice, Vlad Stuparenko. His "Engel" is an explosive mix of underground tech-house with proper acid notes, convincing and functional. It, in turn, resonates as much as possible with the final track of the compilation - "Kinetic Hearts" by Roma Khropko. A playful and compositionally enthralling canvas, fitting perfectly in any selector's morning set. Whistling on the dance floor is guaranteed!

For the first vinyl release ever of elrow Limited we have the classy Juliche Hernandez for the original mixes and a superb remix by Sidney Charles. “Make My Love” is a bouncy and housy track with elegant keys and clever samplings. Sidney remixed the track in a dubby way, with a huge bassline and some melodic layers. For the B-side Juliche delivered “Transientote”, balearic beats made in 21st century, and “Kiss My Baby” as cherry on the cake.

DJs, producers and now label owners, Italian pairing Marco De Gregorio and Tommy Paone, aka Neverdogs, have experienced their busiest year to date, releasing their debut album on their Bamboleo imprint earlier this year whilst making appearances at the likes of The BPM Festival, Amnesia (Ibiza), Music On Festival, Sunwaves and fabric (London) to name just a few. Up next, the duo return to London based imprint Decay Records this November following their collaborative EP alongside Matteo Gatti on the label in 2017 to deliver ‘Stop & Repeat’, backed by remixes from Andre Butano & Demian Muller, and The Willers Brothers.

Title cut ‘Stop & Repeat’ sees the Italian pair work slick organic percussion arrangements amongst skittering synth lines, before Butano and Muller’s remix takes things towards more electronic territories, introducing snarling bass and off-kilter sci-fi sonics. Next, second original cut ‘Day One’ welcomes futher crisp drum work
amongst a deep-lying core groove, before Berlin-based duo The Willers Brothers employ skipping drums and rich sub-bass throughout their swing-fuelled interpretation to wrap up the package.

Compilations are part of the concept at Quintessentials. We love putting together bits and pieces from all over the world and give new and established artists a plattform. „Enjoy our cuppa“ Vol. 2 is a delicious blend for sure - two new artists, two Quintessentials buddies, four great tracks! Starting off with our man from Helsinki, Saine, and his „love music“ - the title says it all! A track that can be played anywhere anytime. Moving on to another good old friend, Andy Ash. Andy has been around for many years, releasing on labels like Delusions of Grandeur and Stilove4music. „Bread“ has a rough yet smooth bleepy edge and a nice old school flair. The flipside presents two new faces, Jank and Decent Rides. Japanese artist Jank is like one of these hidden gems! He alredy released on City Fly, Boogie Cafe and Mysterious Works and we are delighted to present that suuuuuuper deeeeep track „All be free“! Lost but by no means least are Decent Rides, 2 young lads from Bavaria mixing up different styles in „Low grav“ perfectly. We’re sure you will enjoy your cuppa!
