Oliver Schories is returning to 8Bit Records after a year - with the Monza EP.

Hamburg-based Oliver has been a welcome addition to the Germany house community for more than a decade now. After his latest album, Paradigm, and a collaboration with Jan Blomqvist in the summer of 2020, new original music will be out in January 2021 on Gorge’s and Nick Curly’s 8 Bit imprint.

Opening with the title track, ‘Monza’, a stab-led groove evolves organically adding nuanced layers and a rubbery bass. Warm and inviting, the piano in the first break creates a welcomed tension against the muted vocal ad libs. On the flipside, ‘Levo’ begins with more low end grunt. Melodics develop with time and form the main groove hypnotising the listener before chord sweeps and whispered vocals add warmth and musical depth.

After releasing exclusively for Touch Music UK, Sohrab delivers this long awaited EP on Shahr Farang.

Matt Thibideau aka Altitude releases his latest original EP on Lisbon's Helena records, cementing his return to the international scene. Anyone who has seen his all-analog live set will be on solid ground here among four extended deep-space soundscapes, which continue the legacy of his legendary Blue Recordings output. 'Transforming' is the slow, cavernous floorfiller with a growling bass of truly physical intensity, while 'Fractional's delayed chords and soft, skipping hi hats form the housiest moment of the record. 'Touch Sensor' and 'Tantalum' on the flip nod to the legacy of Mark & Moritz (still strong to this day): the former could be a long-lost Main Street dub, while the latter would not be out of place as a new entry in the M-series.

The six tracks on “How can I”—completed over the course of 2019, primarily in transit as she travelled for the first time across Europe, North America and Australia—showcase the multitude of styles and influences that have come to be encapsulated in her output to date. On ‘Like this’ she pairs her own vocals over dream-like pads and grainy, driving rhythms. Elsewhere, the moody techno of ‘NO’ and footwork inspired ‘How come’ demonstrate an artist who is comfortable with pushing her own boundaries and moving definitively beyond any notions of categorisation.

12 months after the debut album of Piotr Bejnar was released, we achieved gathering 4 remixes from this album. Piotr turned to the artists he most admired and who stated for him as great authorities. The record starts with a beautiful remix of the song "Bagieta" made by Ada from Pampa records. Second song on is a dance version of the "Jellyfish" song made by Piotr Bejnar himself. Jeremy Hyman steps up to FT with the first of two 12" EPs that are a coordinated blast of colorful, galaxy-edge plastic techno from the master percussionist who moonlights in Lifted, Boredoms, Animal Collective, and more. Always rhythmatic in exciting ways, Hyman's drum programming here is more arms than buttons, injecting a fly human element in the 12". "Slide" does what it says with amazing technoid bass work and a propulsive sense of timing, "Madness" hovers and falls and hovers again, and "Tinted Mirror" is some sort of Foodman-meets-Prescription-Records house symphony, rising and rising and rising. Tip!

Palette 71 kicks off with legendary Warp artist Plaid on remix duties. Transforming the title track, re-synthesized 909 samp-les and lua scripted sequencing, Plaid builds melodies and ar-rangement to epic proportions in classic Plaid fashion.

Tejada’s new EP is an homage of sorts to the sample heavy production style of the late '90s. "Limiting the options and just creating and manipulating a batch of samples is my happy place,” says Tejada. The title track hints back to a personal favorite, Optical’s "Moving 808s." While the sound is quite different, the approach is similar: samples, editing, some fil-ters and not a whole lot more opens up a lot of creative possi-bilities without too much getting in the way. Of course, the bass plays an important role. Combing through some older influences of varying styles, the production became more in line with Tejada classics like “Timebomb” and “Western Star-land,” both sample collage pieces focused on groove.

The final track, "Infinity Room" also follows this production process while resulting in a slightly moodier sound.

It's time to deliver the second EP from Adana Twins' latest mix compilation and with this one we set the focus to the more organic and off kilter leanings from Lehar, SBTH, Acid Pauli, Musumeci and Stereocalypse. Kicking things off is Italy's Lehar with his super slick 'Blue Wolf' where robust percussions culminate in a potent groove laying the foundation for lush sonic melodies that transport you into uniquely sublime spaces. SBTH follows with the exceptionally unique '4W1R6' where they forgo the standard four-to-the-floor approach and employ a distinguished and uncommonly unique 3/4 time signature to full effect creating a swelling and brooding number assuring a definite, clear memory long after it ends. Flipping to the B-side we see the renowned Acid Pauli in top form as he relies heavily on thick organic percussion and plush musicality with his 'Greetings From Orgonon' before switching gears as Musumeci delivers a stunner with 'Invaders' where past meets present as Disco, Techno and House all meet in one harmonious culmination. To round out the EP, Stereocalypse's 'Jubeelee!' is an expertly crafted venture into the modern techniques of infectious Afro-House concluding an extremely well rounded EP showcasing the diversity of Adana Twins selection and diversity.

Alexis Cabrera debuts on FUSE sister imprint Infuse as he releases his four-track ‘Acidity’ EP.

Argentinian born, Berlin-based producer and live act Alexis Cabrera has emerged as one of South America’s finest electronic music exports with a string of stand-out releases via the likes of Raum…Musik, Moscow, Yaji and Salty Nuts over the past few years alone. A co-founder of Fun Records alongside fellow Argentian Barem, Cabrera’s sophisticated, groove-heavy sound combined with his impressive live performances have seen him take to world renowned venues such as Watergate, Tresor and Hoppetosse in his adopted hometown, and September now welcomes another ‘feather in his cap’ as he makes his debut on FUSE sister imprint Infuse to deliver his four-track ‘Acidity’ EP.

Taking cues from its title, lead cut ‘Acidity’ unveils a bubbling acid-driven production guided by sweeping synths and slick drum licks, whilst ‘Bulevardò’ journeys through warping electronics, shuffling percussion and off-kilter vocal murmurs to offer up a twisting, hypnotic ride. Next up, ‘Tocado’ introduces an infectious medley of organic drums, resonant bass melodies and icy hats, before closing proceedings via the jazzy chords and funk-heavy bass licks of the infectious ‘Esa Vaina’.

The latest subsequent sees Cosmic JD take the reigns for a 4 tracker choc to the brim of deep teched-up punk.

After releasing "Morgenland" album Der Dritte Raum Record's stable drops their eight EP, bringing up Hale Bopp, which some of you may know from trance shenanigans back in the roaring 90's

What makes it even more better then the original classic track are the re-interpretations. Ricardo Villalobos & Cavaan flashes their acclaimed producer talents and their works are both very original and quite different from each other. Since his epics like 'Easy Lee' and 'Dexter,' Villalobos has kept stretching out his music, and his Hale Bopp version is full of rhythms and more changing than ever - meandering in ever-widening circles. Same is Cavaan's remix. It's drifting on their own with spiraling barbed rhythms that emerge from couplings of analogue machines. The Ison Adaption on B2 is remodeled by Krüger himself and on all remixes the main-melody is kept, although no samples are used, making it rather different from the original.

Our latest release Caisa came to us as a demo by Patricio Chrigibonga from Ecuador, and it didn't take me very long see its potential. I said: „I think this is one of the biggest tracks I ever signed for Break New Soil!“ Everywhere I play it out, people come running to the booth asking what it is - so this time we believe we don't go too far by predicting: We might have a future classic here.

When we thought of who could remix this, Kevin De Vries' name came to my mind right away - and Kevin delivered once again with a spaced out, arpeggiated bigfloor version that still keeps the original in mind but adds Kevin's signature sound! We could not be happier with this release and hope you will love it as much as we do!

Friendly Feeling Embodied in a Red-Pink One 1961 by Mcdermott & McGough.

ISNISNT offers it's second release of forward leaning electronics with a diverse group of modern techno from label head Jesse Siminski. Acting under his Heartthrob guise, Jesse initiates the release with 'Someone Called Again' a tough, but funky, bass driven tune that marries detailed production with his signature ominous melodies to great effect. Subtle modulating percussion work against harder, swung snare and synthetic drums workouts, as surprising analog synth bursts glue things together. Building smoothly into a headfirst groove, the track pressurizes and never loses it's drive as heady synth riffs keep things musical and emotionally interesting. In an even funkier tangent the two mixes of 'Cougar Juice' draw together an irresistible bass line with pushing breakbeats and precise synth stabs. These horn like synthesizer bursts mark surprising turns and recall similar moments in classic Hip-Hop jams or even tracks from Detroit's Anthony Shakir or Robert Hood- two of Jesse's production heroes. The 'Driving Past the Jail Mix' incorporates these synth stabs hypnotically within the melodic structure, while the 'Reduced Dub Mix' dials things back and focuses on the bass line, drums and dubbed out flourishes. With their funk driven momentum constantly moving forward, either mix will bring something unique to either a house or techno set. And finally 'Let Them Go' rounds out the group in a deep, yet still driving fashion. It splices sub bass pulses, a melancholic synth atmosphere, absurd bleeps and submerged voices amongst stripped down drums into a steadily building hybrid cut- not quite house and not really techno.

Penny Loafer comes as a strong combination of a striking bassline and harmonies, typical for Roland Appels idea of soulfull techno. Gonzo goes with the hunting bells and a shuffeling beat into a darker direction. The RMX transforms Gonzo into a techno monster, but let´s better say into a Recondite monster.

Honne Music is pleased to announce our next vinyl release (HMV04), once again a compilation of different artists; managing to put together a good musical variety for all tastes. On side A we have the old school teacher and legend Steve O' Sullivan with his track "Keep Me Waiting" which is a start to finnish master class and a perfect example of how to express multiple feelings through music. Side B start with another good friend from many years ago, Dot with his track "Against All Odds" a track with a lot of aggressiveness, sophisticated drums, dope and progressive bassline, and to finish side B we have a family member Louiv with "Thoughtful Moment" and as the name indicates, a perfect track to get you thinking about life, a track that makes you feel many emotions once you hear it, the power of the bassline and those subtle enveloping pads that go in and out throughout the track can transport you to any memory no matter how remote it may be.

From Gui Boratto's latest album - III' comes - This Is Not The End', an indie minded track that convincingly demonstrates Gui's impressive skill set when it comes to emotional narratives embedded in a distinctively monumental context. Like his timeless - Beautiful Life' and last year's album highlight - Destination: Education' (already remixed to perfection by Terranova and Tale Of Us), - This Is Not The End' features the beautiful vocals of Luciana Villanova, who seems to know exactly what makes Gui tick - which doesn't come as a surprise, as they are married - and possesses this rarest of all gifts, an unique voice that seems to address each listener personally.
In his own - 2012 Mix' featured here, Gui doesn't so much concentrate on the original's tearjerking qualities (which were already fully formed), but streamlines the arrangement for ease of use on the floor of your choice, making the track even more refined and addictive. Those of you looking for a slighty more adventurous approach will find their satisfaction with Michael Mayer's rework on the flipside, where the source material's hypnotic qualities are brought to the fore, resulting in a masterful slice of catchy prime time psychedelica. With both mixes turning out to be instant classics, we can definitely confirm that this is not the end.

When you listen to an Industrialyzer track, it doesn’t take long to figure out where his name comes from. These are soundscapes that instantly transport you someplace else, built for cavernous warehouses where regular rules don’t apply. The Portugal-born, Amsterdam-based producer born Ricardo Rodrigues maintains his consistent form on the Moonstone EP with four slamming tracks made for these very conditions.
The title track Moonstone beats you into oblivion with a relentless kick, distorted vocals relaying an urgent directive – “let’s get high” – and scuzzy, whipping synths. On Kontrol peals of synth cut through a thick mist of white noise and the ever-present kick, while one word, stuck on repeat, suggests the best kind of loss of “control”. Daily Nova is a more vibrant track, with housey chords laid over a pulsing beat to create a feeling of delicious unease. And on Psychic Overlays, Rodrigues wades back into darker waters in a pummelling peak time cut and assault on the senses. These are four pumping tracks perfect for sweaty techno bunkers.

Originally from Detroit, born and raised, this Atlanta transplant, has been a DJ since his youth. From backyard and basement parites as a youth, to the small club scene of metro Detroit, Reggie Dokes eventually became a sought after DJ in the city. Fast forwarding to 2001, is when he created his label Psychostasia Recordings. His sound is eclectic and soulful, and over the years as a producer of deep house, techno, tech house and downtempo, he has managed to release singles and EPs with various underground labels from the U.S. to Europe and Asia. REPRESS: 'If you want something done right, sometimes you just have to do it yourself'. In a world filled with false gurus and misguided leaders, so goes the mantra of the New York duo Walker & Royce. After a swift rise in recent years - during which time they pioneered a sound that is often imitated but never replicated - Sam Walker and Gavin Royce have used this mantra as the impetus for their debut album 'Self Help', on their label home Dirtybird.

In order to grow, one often has to look inward, and the pair set out on a trail of self-discovery and advancement. Their journey has resulted in a diverse album that evokes a range of emotion and fervor, one that can be appreciated both on the way to a club as well as feverishly dancing to it in one.

Walker & Royce's signature production is in exceptional form on their solo tracks, such as 'Why Tho', 'Warkin It', 'Best Track Ever' and 'Sunday'. The way they contrast heavy, low-end bass and beats with pristine melodies arises from the first thing they ask themselves when they fire up their studio: 'Will we play this'

The pair has also continued to push the boundaries of their minted formula for a bigger purpose, enlisting several distinct vocalists and collaborators to captivating effect. The legendary Green Velvet lends his vocal talent to 'Rub Anotha Dub', and longtime friend Dances With White Girls appear on two memorable tracks, including the hit single 'Take Me To Your Leader'. Other collaborators such as Sophiegrophy, OnCue, Forrest and Mr. JPatt each introduce their own individual elements to the album, rounding out the varied tones and feelings that comprise the 'Self Help' masterpiece.

The road to self-discovery is filled with many bumps and obstacles, but with 'Self Help', Walker & Royce have proven that they've got the keys and in the driver's seat.

After huge releases on big labels like Apollonia, Rawax and many others iO (Mulen) is back to his main label dropping a big LP. The "Lucky Fish" album consists of three different vinyls full of killer grooves: between smooth deep house and techy bangers, cooked in unique iO (Mulen) style. Na Zrak Records presents its third vinyl release Various Artist called “Into the Cave” by herck, Bryz, Sebastian Eric and Djosh.
Them Genre propose is a kind of minimal with influences even techno characterized by the important groove. Surely it is a very recognizable sound and different from what is mainstream but we also like to involve artists coming from other musical worlds in our project, however, to try to give a product as colorful as possible of all the nuances that music can have.

The fifth edition of Defected’s vinyl series commits the labels biggest digital releases to wax, delivering upfront packages of house heat previously unavailable on vinyl. This springtime release delivers all the summer stompers you need on your sound system, with the A-Side featuring Ferreck Dawn, Robosonic & Nikki Ambers’ ‘In My Arms’ and Mat.Joe & Kid Enigma’s ‘Get Loose’; two sure-fire party starters. On the flip are two tracks from man of the moment OFFAIAH. First up is his collaboration with vocalist Cat Connors ‘Somewhere Special’, where the Las Vegas based artist delivers a deep, rolling bassline and tension-building drops. Up next is his 2018 smash ‘Push Pull’, another record ready to set the club alight this summer and beyond.

It is 20 years later and this record still stands the test of time.
I distinctly remember when this record dropped it was a huge game changer, and really put the thick tripped out sound of the West Coast on the map, and created a sound that would be imitated for a
while to come.

In the mid to late 90’s there were records by Dj Buck, Doc Martin, Leaf Recordings, Wicked, Come Unity etc that laid the foundation to this record by bringing the sound of the whole coast to the world. On “Hear Dis Sound” there was this perfect blend of the artwork done by Skribblez and this rich dubbed out party rocking set of tracks that captured something that had yet to be seen or heard on such a large scale as such a pivitol moment in the lineage of dance music.

This record opened so many doors for so many of us all over the world, whether you call it “West Coast house” or whether it fit into the new genre known as “Tech House” is irrelevant- it was a massive hit.
At the time this came out, I knew Hipp-e from the days of the underground rave circuit in North America from the 90’s and I didn’t really know Halo at all then as he was more a part of the midwest
North American scene, originally hailing from Chicago before moving to San Diego.

Their success was almost over night after this record dropped, they were a global phenomenon. About the same time Peace Division had also kind of honed in on this type of sound with a double pack, but their take- a more UK style and I think each others successes piggybacked each other. You literally had these 2 production duos pop out around the same time with a comparable vibe and people wanted more of this type of stuff to play, and thus that sound and movement was born. For the anniversary the original mix has had a set of remixes from artists who truly understand how to bring new life to this project. Each remix brings something new and unique to the legacy of this track. The first remix from the Romanian Duo- Livio and Roby has a very interesting modern,yet classic take.

The deepest and most musical of the package, this rendition ditches the dub elements for a more straight to the floor groove that develops into this vintage almost Larry Heard esque piano riff, string section accompaniment and rolling synth bass. Its a highly developed excursion into the real deep house sound from the 90’s. Next up we have Yoyaku and Irenic’s Roger Gerressen bringing us a warm rich percussive outing.

He himself is known for these deep stripped down drum grooves with ever evolving pads and dubbed out elements, so his take on this captures the feel of the original, perfectly melding it to his trademark
pads and shuffle hats that we have come to expect from this staple of the underground.

Parisian mainstay D’Julz does what he does best, forward driving bass, hints of dub, and this evolving groove that takes you on a journey style arrangement. I remember about 5 years ago I wanted a rip of this and he had one, its like fate that he remixed it.
Per Hammar bring forth his futuristic forward thinking approach to the project, tight clean production and that swirl of soundscapes often heard in the projects. His track builds and builds to this pivitol
breakdown that is sure to destroy any dancefloor, and swiftly right back into a nod to the original.

The head honcho at Fuse- Enzo Siragusa brings his signature style of pumping pulsating grooves sweet dichotomy of introducing lush chords in the breakdown. He then pulls it all back into the meat of
the track and back into the chords again. This rendition has a type of feel akin to a vintage Mood2Swing dub. This has a nice balance that would work amazing in a club setting or in an underground warehouse.

Following the huge success of the second release ‘Volar La Pluma’ (digital only), Ninetoes’ Head To Toe imprint once again turn to the founder to deliver another stellar production. Dropping also on vinyl, the collection comes with two remixes from Ezikiel and Berlin’s Oskar Jehlmann.

The original features a quirky melody which sticks with you throughout its entirety, partnered alongside the occasional string line entering the scene and a hydrid groove of breaks and house that combine with ease.

Ezikiel’s rework totally flips the melodic elements, scattering them over a more upbeat, minimalistic rolling house groove that grows and grows to create pure euphoric moments. Rattling snares enhance the builds in sublime form, leading you in to the final climatic drop.

The last of the three, Oskar Jehlmann’s version lowers the tone and ups the tempo, bringing the Berlin and warehouse vibes straight to the dance floor. Liquid rides and a thumping kick carry you over gritty bass hits before the original melody enters in a somewhat more stripped back form.

HTT003 continues the label’s path of delivering quality dancefloor driven underground dance music.

Ninze & Okaxy`s "Blurry Mind" , a frame of their impressions & work , as sine qua non for every listener, and a memory of all their travels over the past year. For the last half a decade NINZE & OKAXY have been establishing a significant and experimental sound, self-branded Ketapop, by creating a spherical, yet melancholic atmosphere with a distinctive deepness and complex sound patterns. As part of the Laut & Luise family, and working their magic with side-project WIDE AWAKE.The Blurry Mind EP contains three unreleased tracks and plus the Soundcloud hit Four that is now officially published.

Runemark Records comes back with yet another vinyl and the twelfth release in the label catalogue which combines two probably the most creative and popular artists from Lithuania - Ten Walls and Daddy Was A Milkman. The duo's collaboration has lead into a strong and beautyful EP called Hidden' and includes two original compositions and a remix from Ten Walls. The title track lifts above reality and holds energy with tight rhythms, deep atmosphere and crystal vocals on top. Suitable for every dancefloor as well as to enjoy privately. The second original composition in the pack is called Airglow'. It's another strong statement and is no less than the title track. Last but not least comes Ten Walls' remix for Ink' that can be found in Ten Walls Queen' album vinyl edition. Cozy and at the same time massive sounding remix is even more calibrated for the dance floors than the original. Ten Walls delivers highest quality as always. “Levitate” by Nick Devon & Soul Button opens the series with this masterful track and sets the tone for what’s to come. “Parallax” by Clawz SG & Strinner, gradually heats up and invites you on a journey through an abundance of progressive beats and synths, infused with melodic flares. “Centaurus” by Soul Button & Monarke, with its pulsating rhythm and synth echoes, will leave you hypnotized. Following up on the release of his first album in eight years, Agoria has collaborated with enigmatic French musician Jacques on new EP ‘Visit’, out 14th June.

The two-track offering pairs electronic elements with organic, real-world sounds to masterful effect. Title track ‘Visit’ is the best example of this, with a wonky beat trudging through a plethora of immersive sounds. Meanwhile ‘Jardin’, with a grooving bassline, has a greater dancefloor focus.

“The first time I met Jacques, we were sitting at the same table but we didn’t exchange any words,” Agoria explains. The second time, a year later, we started speaking. A lot. During hours. About Vipassana, a technique of meditation that you practice in silence. The third time, I thought I should share his words and breaths, delivering the untold. So I offered him to record a Sapiens Talk. The fourth time, we both agreed it was finally time to record music together.”

Jacques is a musician who pushes back the border between music, sound and noise, using music as a medium of expression on his quest of transversality. Invited to several TEDx conferences to talk about his obsession with the idea of infinity, he has also revealed his new theory called “Vortex”, which he created with Alexandre Gain in 2015.

His first album in eight years, Agoria described Drift as “sitting on your sofa between your guilty pleasure and your tasteful opinion”. The deeply melodic 10-track LP came off the back of a much-lauded Essential Mix for Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show, which was later nominated for Essential Mix Of The Year.

The new release comes amidst Agoria’s first ever Ibiza residency, which kicked off on 31st May at the Blue Marlin. Named after the new album and featuring everyone from DJ Harvey and Gerd Janson to Groove Armada and Idris Elba, the unique day-to-night parties will take place every Friday until 27th September. He will also take his all new live show on tour this summer, with dates including Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, Belgium’s Pukkelpop and Lowlands Festival in Amsterdam.

Manchester based Rudosa has been around for almost a decade, quietly building a nice catalog of releases signed to Intec, Suara and Second State. Not to forget collecting multiple Beatport top 10s and support from iconic producers including Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, ANNA, and Amelie Lens. His no nonsense approach to Techno lead to this debut 4 track release on Terminal this September, after his debut on the labels VA earlier this year.
Opening with the title track ‘Heavy Rotation’, it’s an emotionally charged, acidic roller. Warehouse drums and wild open hats playfully minge with sharp pads, vocals and stabs. ‘Primo’ continues apace. Stadium-sized sonics and a kettle drum kick drive the track as it thunders on into the dark recesses of the club. ‘Delusions’ is a trippy, trancey cut. Wild melodics weave among the sparse percussive layers creating a softer, but no less engaging mid-set showstopper. Finally, ‘Adapted’ ties up the EP in epic fashion. A very rounded release package that offers a ton of energy with depth.

Deep, soulful and techy treats by meaestro Eric Ericksson. Eric has been releasing his music since the early nineties on labels like Fragile and Planet E. In resent times Eric's music can also be found on Papa Records, Local Talk and Freerange, to name a few. An elegant four tracker that starts out with the uncompromising and crude track 'Greed', followed by 'Acquiescence' with it's sharp and classy shuffles, lush strings and big sounding pads. The flip side starts of with 'Totality'. Complete, raw sounding with morphing dubby stabs, combined with rough grooves and punching beats. The EP ends off with the pulsating, dreamy and sensitive track 'Closure'. Nothing is left by chance when Eric shows his vision and approach for modern electronic music.
