Originally released in 1993 by the Italian imprint Minus Habens Records, 'Concrete Jungle' is the second album by this seminal project of Dirk Ivens (The Klinik, Absolute Body Control). A work considered as groundbreaking by lot of fans of early 90s industrial, noise and EBM. There are few electro-pioneers that are still active and successful and Mr. Ivens is one of them, inspiring a lot of acts to follow in the past three decades.Concrete Jungle' is being released for the first time on vinyl in a limited/numbered edition of 700 copies. Double record including all the original tracks plus the 'Extended Play' EP (1994) and some songs from old compilations. Artwork based on the original design and presented on a deluxe gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves and numbered card.

Deeplay / Opilec Music offers up three new versions of a classic and previously unreleased (on 12" at least) disco-fried Giorgio Moroder track in the form of 'Utopia - Me Giorgio'.

The remixer is Opilec Music boss, I-Robots, who has reworked classic Moroder material
before and who is a huge fan of the disco and electronic music pioneer Einzelgänger.

The concept of this release was simply to create longer versions of the track that was originally included in the From Here To Eternity partially mixed album - incredibly no one else has officially done this since the original release date in 1977.

Importantly, though, because the track is so seminal, the remixes are all hugely sympathetic affairs that don't change the atmosphere or intentions of the original artist.

Up first is the 'I-Robots 1977 Reconstruction', which has just seen the original extended from 3:23 minutes to almost 7 minutes (all these reconstructions are long). The result is a fantastic thing that is now perfectly suited to club play with fulsome modern production, a revisited version that is a perfect reinterpretation maintaining the spirit of the '77 original.

For the 'I-Robots 2014 Tape Reconstruction', the remixer had a dream that he found an old original Moroder tape in a flea market and used it to beef up this track. The addition of analog tape background noise gives the mix a dirty and dusty vintage sound and as such it now has a strong and powerful impact with infectious drums, frazzled synth lines and plenty of meaty disco dazzle.

Finally, The 'I-Robots 2014 Reconstruction' is the clean version of the Tape Reconstruction with a powerful tech-house beat underpinning it, making it the version most suited to heavy dance floor usage.

The vinyl release includes only the 1977 and the 2014 Tape Reconstructions and is handled exclusively by Opilec Music.

Multi-talent Joyce Muniz is definitely one to look out for. Initially starting her career as a vocalist, she now took over the global house music scene within no time as a deejay and producer as
well. Exhibiting her talent with previous releases, it's not surprising that she's on the roster of prestigous labels such as Exploited Records and 20/20 Vision Recordings.

Next year she will
release her single "Toxic People" on International Deejay Gigolo Records featuring the singer, songwriter and producer Demetr1us. "Toxic People" is a vibrant and raw sounding electro house cut featuring grimy synths and vocals, that lend the track a cold and distant atmosphere.

The artwork for "Toxic People" was created by Leipzig-based artist Silvia Trost, whose forth lies in oil and acrylic paintings. She now frequently collaborates with glitch art artists and loves to mix
materials and techniques, both analogue and digital.

The B-side "Dreamz" is another great production by Joyce Muniz. The playful groove and eclectic ambient makes it a cool package.

Renato Cohen has remade his Pontape original eleven years on, bringing new life to one of techno's classic records.

Beginning with the immediately recognisable droning bass line that has become so synonymous with the release, Cohen introduces a build during the middle section that gives the track a new depth second time around. Alan Fitzpatrick has been selected for remix duties, adding a contemporary twist to this classic track by retaining the original hook-line using the drone in the breaks but adding his own synth-stab to bring a new and interesting dimension to the track.

Grammy-nominated producer Nic Fanciulli joins Radio Slave's Rekids this February with two thumping cuts entitled 'Understand'.

Having appeared before as a remixe r of Radio Slave's seminal 'Grindhouse' in 2012, Saved Records founder Nic Fanciulli now finally joins the Rekids imprint for the first time with original material. Highly regarded for holding residencies in some of the biggest super clubs in the world like Ibiza's Space and Pacha, the longstanding British DJ is also responsible for four legendary BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes. His production distinction spans to a revered Grammy nomination at the age of only 26 for Best Recording Remix as part of Buick Project, to his acclaimed debut album 'My Heart' with collaborations alongside the= likes of British Rock legend Damon Albarn.

The title track opens the release with submarine-like bleeps chiming over a mysterious voice repeating 'understand', while a growling bass dives deep beneath a thundering drum groove. On the flip, 'Where U At' features mesmerising vocal cries that flutter between upbeat stabs and bouncy percussion that expertly bolsters a driving low end.

Everybody knows the sound of church bells — the familiar midday clang. Strongly associating this sound with religion, we hardly ever think of it as a long musical tradition. In Philipp Gorbachev’s search for new heights, it turned out that the East European Orthodox tradition of bell ringing goes far beyond religious dogma. It’s ancient, it’s sacred, and it’s unchained. It’s about liberation, unity of body and soul, and free artistic expression.

Church bell ringing has become the core musical practice for the electronic producer and performer in the last few years after a period of excessive club touring around the world. Searching for new ways to challenge and alter his physical and spiritual self, Philipp found his calling ringing bells in Moscow at St. Nicholas Church and Berlin at the Christ Resurrection Cathedral. An experienced raver and drummer himself, Gorbachev couldn’t help but build the connection between electronic synthesizers, entrancing techno loops, and the unique sonority and resonance of heavy-weight bronze bells.

The result of Philipp’s new passion is KOLOKOL. It was first released as an LP on his PG TUNE imprint in 2019 and later evolved into live stage performances, an experimental film, and a full-length documentary exploring the bell ringing tradition in godforsaken monasteries and churches across Russia. With KOLOKOL, Gorbachev proves that this practice is bound to notions of temple, solitude, spirituality, healing, and awakening which are much stronger than the church itself. ‘Hope’ and ‘salvation’ are the main words for Philipp to describe his path with bell ringing. These are also the words many ravers use when speaking of their life-changing experiences on the dance floor in the temples of powerful sound, hypnotic body movement, and endless purifying vibration. Together with his fellow bell ringers in Russia, Gorbachev took the powerful instrument outside the church to introduce this mind-altering experience in a club and concert setting.

The series of remixes by Gorbachev’s fellow musicians is another extension of the KOLOKOL mindset toward the club environment; a call for his friends from the techno world to accept and interpret Philipp’s journey of affirmation, focus, and fulfillment. When the time is right again, the remixes of main tracks from Gorbachev’s most recent album will fill the sweaty vibrating dance floors where everybody is searching for their own temple, hoping for a purifying catharsis of body and soul.

Maurizio Martinucci (aka TeZ) is being warmly welcomed back into the Frigio fold. Following his work with Most Significant Beat, a partnership with Saverio Evangelista of Esplendor Geometrico, this Italian artist, and member of Clock DVA since 2010, is flying solo on new wings: Pragma.Martinucci examines, scrutinises and magnifies mechanics. And under such inspection all things change. Drums blossom into serrating melodies. Snares, hi hats, toms blur into one as they are distilled into a heady brew. At times this reduction is sour and sharp, as in the cruel cud of 'Ospel', at others its strangely smooth like in 'Dusk.' The lines that divide electronics and techno all but disappear, dissolved into insignificance under Pragma ´s barren palette. 'Espex' is stripped. Percussion is dipped in distortion, bass bleached by hiss as the reductionist manifesto is applied. An artist cut from the same caustic clothe closes.Arturo Lanz of Esplendor Geometrico amplifies the fuzz and static of 'Espex', shaving away all decoration to leave all but a harrowing husk of cables, wires and pain.

Alex Smoke's album, Love over Will, signalled a new phase of deep artistry for the stalwart Scottish producer. Mano Le Tough's remix of 'Dust' holds on these buzzing elements of micro machinery, yet strips away the original version's atmospherics. 'Fall Out' was ominous and string-laden in its original form, which was then coaxed into a throbbing, reverb-heavy offering at the hands of Tale of Us and gets a precision edit by Dixon.

The ends of days are ones with which Damian Lazarus is familiar, but, much like his biblical namesake, he too, has come back from the brink and risen to fight on, his career is interwoven with themes of survival and re-birth. Fittingly then, his second solo album does not wallow in our current dark times but charts a path of hope. Flourish, offers a glimpse of a new world worth living in and surviving for.

Flourish takes us through the many lives of Damian Lazarus, who, as he has grown older, and traversed the globe, has come to more deeply examine the role the dance floor plays in his own life and that of others. With parties cancelled, it would have been easy to wallow, but instead urgency took hold, and isolated Italian countryside Damian took the space to tackle the larger questions he has been grappling with for years.

As anyone who has watched Lazarus DJ can attest, his inspirations are deep and varied, criss-crossing show tunes, drum n bass, jazz, electro, soul, house, techno and everything in-between. This album reflects his immersion in a multitude of scenes over the years, from the early days of London drum n bass, to his role as a figurehead in the electroclash scene, and of course the significant impact his Crosstown Rebels label has had on contemporary underground house and techno. Flourish is far from a box of functional DJ tools, in the same way as Damian’s debut album Smoke The Monster Out or the more worldly outings in his brace of albums with the Ancient Moons. It’s a personal, brave and varied body of work. It’s also the work of an artist who has grown over the ten years since his last solo album. Lazarus plays with nuances of texture, tempo and style to create a rich and dense album that takes us on an odyssey that is at times both dark and uplifting. Vocals of his own cast an intimate shadow over the album with those of his sole collaborator Jem Cooke offering a soothing balance amidst the madness.

Damian’s work reminds us that however taxing the journeys there are always moments of beauty to be found.

With David Mayer's share of keinemusik's current Workparty edition still providing solid fuel for heated clubfloors, he already shovels
two fresh loads into the furnace.
KM021 has just surfaced in a moment when electrified Techno-music seems to drown in an ocean of preset-dullness. Well, Mayer has
come to provide a rescue tool with his Sunhole on side A. You'll recognize this somewhat trademark-becoming percussive fetish of
Mayer as this track's Modus Operandi. Yet, it has rarely been as detailed and surgically implemented as in this banger. What's that - a
second hand ticking And over there - is it a woodpecker in the field Sunhole supplies all the answers in a thumping, yet no
friskiness avoiding manner. You'll get a stoically rolling beat, asphalting the floor, to build a cannonproof foundation for this
arrangement's main attraction - a filtered and delay-heavy synth-affair.
Flip around and find a competitive jamboree of subtle background-brainwaves other would straightaway use as lead-ideas for their
tracks. Well, this matchingly titled Lead comes in with a hard hitting kick and gets into the groove via filter-rides to peak into clanking
noisy Industrial-thunder that immediately will electrify every steel-toe in hearing range. Generally: only roughness in this cut, crispy
bounce and ghostly whispers all over. Most definitely for the win, this double broadside.

The Mangue Labelheads are pushing forward and proove that the label has a pretty unique sound - straight and very melodical. And again they welcome Microtrauma (Traum Schallplatten, Microtonal)

Julien Chaptal is an electronic assembly — part French electronics, part Detroit synth machine, and part Dutch minimal robot (as part of MFD, Le Clic and Amsterdam661). Purpose built with a modular brain, Julien’s performances are switched on, live, utterly groovy, and while pulsating with machine wiring, undeniably human.
Chaptal's newest record, The Way, was conceived after a few too many knobs were turned on his Octatrack, sending Julien tumbling through time and space to capture decades worth of dance floor musical influence before returning home. Recorded live along the journey — on stage, by boat, and in a camper van — The Way’s hypnotic tracks are an intimate look at the intricate circuitry composing the logic behind electronic music, showcasing where it has come, where it is now, and where it will travel to in the future.

Japanese producer JUN KITAMURA released 2EPs from his own label Capricious back in 1998 and 2000 named Outergaze and Outergaze 2 by his artist name JUN. They were both Underground hit in the UK and other countries. EFD compiles 2 tracks from these 2EPs, which are still heard in dance floors worldwide after more than 10 years, as the first release EFD Classic series.

Perth, capital of Western Australia, sits where the Swan River meets the southwest coast. Sandy beaches line its suburbs giving purpose to hot summer days, but after sundown, the city is where it's at... if you know where to look. It's possible that this double-life is what inspired the deep, melodic, futuristic sounds of one of Australia's most mysterious electronic dance music labels of the 90's - Red Ember Records.Helmed by Ewan Jansen and Justin Zerbst (with contributions from Steb Sly and Andrew Carpenter) this micro label powered through the latter half of the 1990's with a slew of back-room productions; barely existent releases that were mainly pressed onto poly-plastic discs and hand distributed at a handful of near mythical live performances and local record spots in their hometown. Suffice to say it's the unique quality of the music contained on these lathes (chiefly produced by Jansen and Zerbst) and the sheer rarity of the physical items that has driven Red Ember firmly into the minds of vinyl fiends the globe over.Deep. That is one word that can be safely used when discussing the sonic bounty contained on a Red Ember record. Ewan Jansen's loose, harmonic style sits perfectly next to Justin Zerbst's faster paced, frenetic Techno sounds. The two's styles complimenting each other perfectly. This is most apparent on this special sampler 12", the precursor to a wider archival compilation of Red Ember rarities entitled "Embers Only: Selected tracks 1997 - 1999", where a track from each artist has been carefully selected from their enviable archive. Recognized for bringing some of the most cutting-edge DJs to Tokyo from its inception in 2013 (starting with a:rpia:r), Beat In Me is proud to announce the launch of its own record label. Catalog No.001 finds Raha, a key contributor to the Japanese club scene for over 30 years, collaborating with his creative partner K-Sobajima to bring us their very first EP. Side A is a masterly crafted made-for-dancefloor track - its high-density, dynamic minimal grooves deployed with precise effects. On Side B, we have Romanian up-and-comer Crihan (known for releases on Ultrastretch, Naural, and Eliptic) on remix duties, as he takes a detour toward a more ‘dope’ and atmospheric mood. Taking the release-portfolio into account, Rampa built over the last years on Keinemusik, him adding a new EP to the label's
catalogue is worth every credit of trust. And this very Trust' EP is living up to that not only by its name. It certainly offers value for
money, considering KM-releases have mostly been two-trackers. There are four cuts on this one, each one following a different
approach, making it also a hella versatile record.
It opens with the titeltrack, the floor-mantra within this bunch. A ruminant groove, backed by lifting and dropping notes, launching a
catchy synth-figure and adding up synth-layers until all tension drops into a break that's as curative as a talk therapy. A track that, out
of unshakable serenity, unleashes an irresistible energy.
The following Entropie' comes closest to what could be considered a Rampa classic. Percussive loops that are scooped up with even
more banging and clanking - check. Lurking synthbass in the back - check. Vocalsamples with tribal descent - double check.
Generally, you'll find a whole lot of folklore in this rhythm rich affair, that continuously is jazzing up to highest ecstasy levels.
The flipside opens with Defiled', led by a prominent synthline, that's going through various filter highs and lows and gets bludgeoned
by some vigorously swung claps. Raw, naked floor material lacking any flourish, that seems to even fire up a jackhammer during the
break.
Headsup' is concluding this set. Triggering the smell of watered sidewalks, lit-up only by flickering neon light, immersed in the depths
of delay, this latenight-story finds some redemption and warmth within the glow of its soulful vocal samples.

We are overjoyed to announce the next candidate for our label-catalogue after Kerri Chandlers 'The Watergate Files' EP. New Watergate resident Matthias Meyer was recently added to our booking agency - his debut on Watergate Records is called 'Becuz' and hereby it immediately answers every potential question. The eponymous Track has the atmospheric density of an approaching storm front that discharges into epic organ-hooks and shredded vocals. Appropriate to that the B-side begins with 'November Rain", a beat-driven techno-anthem with foggy synth-spheres and 'closed eyes"-attitude. Mario Basanovs a.k.a. Ten Walls' interpretation has more contours and a percussive touch that keeps the mood of the original unchanged: November rain in a tropical rainforest. An astonishing EP with two great tracks and a wonderful remix. 'Becuz' EP will be released on May 12th on vinyl and digital.

State Of Flow is back. After a 2 years hiatus since its last release, the Belgian label marks its return bringing into play South America rising talents Manglus and Guillermo de Caminos under their Aire Terra alias. With both guys busy keeping alive the vibrant local scene, the pair have provided two massive Latino-ish percussive originals that come packed with a remix by Roche Madame head Cesar Merveille. Title cut "El Matoto" opens proceedings in a minimal-techy fashion as pressing vocals meet captivating percussive layers and hollow rumbling toms. On the flip, "Africandombe" howls out a repetitive, hypnotic vocal, giving to the entire track an ancestral dimension, whilst twisted fxs and textures try to distract you from the loopiness mood. Rounding out the package, Berlin-based Cesar Merveille injects to the original a good dose of analogue harm. A massive gloomy bassline rumbles undisturbed underneath sliced drums and vocal chops, channelling his energies to pure dancefloor intentions.

Amphia 021 is narrated by Christopher Ledger, who subtly
undertakes us into different corners of the electronic music
field.

The record provides 4 dance-oriented tracks, with moments of
introspection, a state of mind in which one does not fear to
explore his inner gloomy parts.
Side A begins with “Afterglow”, which smoothly blends its
dynamic rhythm and acid bassline with dreamy pads giving an
alluring glimpse into its ingenuous approach.
“Not formally” feels like a change of register with its four to the
floor beat and airy pads encompassing multiple textures.
The sequel surprises the peak of the EP, with “Deceptive”.
Sharp edges and a heavy bass line give the track its raw appeal
perfectly combined with the “deceptive” minor chord.
With an enigmatic approach, the record ends with “See
through”, concluding the scenic space we’ve all been guided
through.

An outsider in the Detroit scene, Jared Wilson's meandering acid jams have always sounded more Cornish than American. His brand new EP for the Netherlands' 030303 Records continues on that spacey tip. Sea Friends starts warm, bassy and laidback with upbeat and frenetic melodies taking over later on, lifting the tune to another level. Seeing is Forgetting is a melancholic, beatless acid trip, drenched in a strange field recordings setting with waves, vocal snippets and bird sounds all present. Potentially referring to Detroit's legendary record label and distribution company is Submerge the Ship, the most layered and mesmerizing jam on this twelve, a track that truly sends you off to the depths of the deep sea. Closing track Yogacamp is the fastest one on the record and with various eerie melodies battling for dominance, a great once for the darker dance floors.

Monkey Safari’s Hommage label has been churning out some of the best, cutting-edge dance floor cuts for the past half
decade focusing on a wide array of stylings from both the label heads themselves to many of today’s hottest artists
spanning the spectrum from Techno to House. So, when Hommage turned to the Frankfurt based and fabled artist Reboot
for their latest release after his highly acclaimed remix of Monkey Safari’s ‘Helios' in earlier this year, it was no surprise.

The extremely versatile producer not only delivered a stunning EP but something the label has yet to deliver
sonically. Spanning seven extremely versatile tracks Reboot serves up what could be his most advantageous release yet
by combining a plethora of sounds traversing the musical gamut with a main focus set firmly in the realm of Dub Techno.

Opening the EP with the low slung and extremely atmospheric cut ‘Vulvation’ Reboot channels the essence of Detroit and
artists like Deepchord with reverb heavy yet incredibly engaging aural artifacts before upping the tempo on ‘River’ where
an infectious groove is paramount leaving the hazy harmonies to carry us off into the proverbial ether. ‘Fairytales’ pursues
and with this tune, Reboot dives deep into the sounds of early Dub leaving the Techno aesthetic to the way side as the
spirit of Lee Scratch Perry and King Tubby come full frontal as early Dub Reggae leanings take the lead where Echo Space
delays, washed out vocals and shimmering guitar licks create an undeniably beautiful journey. Ramping up the pace once
again, ‘Kookaburra Baby’ relies on more classic 4/4 techniques as the kick and percussion set the foundation for sonic
glimmers and lush melodies that feel as psychedelic as they do euphoric resulting in a ride on a bed of clouds through
lavishly pink sunsets to the far reaches of the cosmic expanse. Diving back into the Dub Reggae spectrum, ‘Downtown’
fuses the classic stylings of early Dub with modern Techno stylings birthing a gorgeous and contagious tune that could be put on an infinite loop. Born and raised in Rome, with German DNA, Ae:ther is an artist who has established his pedigree as a formidable producer and selector. Following six years in London maturing as an artist, producing at Fortress Studios in Old Street and befriending neighbours such as Bicep, he moved to Berlin. Joining like-minded collaborators Mind Against and Tale of Us, Ae:ther immersed himself in the City's scene. After releasing dazzling EPs on Afterlife, his sound of deep emotion and expert audio design came to the attention of Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus, who signed the debut album Me unequivocally. At the birth of electronic music, its visionary pioneers wanted to soundtrack the future, now that future is here it’s artists like Ae:ther who take up the mantle and guide us into the unknown.

Rotterdam’s own Jamie Lie A Kwie returns to VL Recordings for his first solo EP on the label, delivering four dancefloor ready weapons that have garnered support from the Romanian shores of Sunwaves to Club Space in Miami.

A1 sees ‘Kiwi’ lead with a pumping 4/4 kick, laden over bubbling synths, modulating subs and crunchy arpeggiators that automate playfully, as soft atmospherics whisper in the background. EP title track ‘Jungl.’ traverses through a near 11 minute journey, starting with discordant, jazz-infused hits and chugging rhythms, which patiently build towards a wistful breakdown, one primed for the after hours.

Nach ihrer "Looped EP", die zum Record Store Day im April 2015 veröffentlicht wurde, bringen sich Kiasmos kurz vor Jahresende noch einmal mit drei neuen Titeln und einem Remix von Tale Of Us in Erinnerung. Kiasmos besteht aus dem isländischen Komponisten Ólafur Arnalds, der für seine Mischung aus minimalistischen Klavier- und Streicher-Kompositionen und elektronischen Sounds bekannt ist, und dem Färöer Janus Rasmussen, zugleich Kopf des Elektro-Pop-Projekts Bloodgroup. Die EP wird vom vierminütigen Track "Drawn" eröffnet, einem perkussiven Titel mit seichten Klavier-Motiven.

"Gaunt" begeistert mit Ambient-Synthies, einem Drum Loop und langsam sich bewegenden Akkorden. It's been 5 years since North Lake delivered the 'Moonwalker' 12' on Phonica's main label and it's telling that to this day it's one of the most requested for a repress. That's not to say he's been idle in the years since then, his releases for Life & Death, Permanent Vacation and Ellum Audio have cemented his reputation as a trusted producer in the world of leftfield Techno.

North Lake is Michigan-based Isaac Delongchamp and his 'Hearing Voices' EP features four tracks that illustrate his influences, stretching from classic Detroit Techno to Deep House and even New Age and Ambient. In fact, these four tracks could work as a story, from the opening title track, 'Hearing Voices' through two peak-time housers into the after-hours vibe of the final track.

'Hearing Voices' is the standout here based on a beautiful looping keyboard melody which subtly grows, progressing and ascending to a deceptive moment of silence before returning to its original melody. Next up 'Vibing To Your Vibe' is a perfect combination of organic and electronic elements with little synth details and an 80s Electro vibe adding to the 4/4 groove.

On the flip, the simple but devastatingly effective Omar S-esque 'Magic Ride', the EP's peak energy moment and the logical follow-up to his first Phonica release with Dixon-favourite 'Marlborol Noir'. Finally, the record comes to an end with 'Teenage Heartbreak', a mellow, classy House production that works just as well on the dancefloor as well as home listening.

Rich NxT helms the next release on the Fuse London label, with his 'What's In The Box' EP, the 3rd solo EP from one of the parties chief residents. This release brings yet more variety to the NxT stall with a classic feel on the A1 track, 'Defy' where he kicks things off with his trademark, crisp beats and razor sharp percussion riding over the dubby low end, then opening out into lush pads and a vocal that never fail to raise the atmosphere, proving popular with people everywhere.

'Mylove' is the release's vinyl only track and is an understated anthem, once again delving deep with brooding bass, paired with drum snatches echoing that of his early jungle days. When the tripped out male vocal and percussion builds into the drop and counter melody, all the elements align in that unique NxT fashion. Over on the flip, 'Twang' has become another firm favourite with audiences, calling again on memories of old school rave combined with a rolling, edgy groove, whilst 'Cannonball' finishes the EP off in fine style with a slab of atmospheric wonder perfect for those early morning sunlit sessions.

Rotciv is the Brasilian born, Berlin based man behind Mister Mistery records. This prolific producer has been out there for quite a long time and you might remember "The Rimshooters", the long lasting collaboration with Massimiliano Pagliara himself. Now it is time for Rotciv to offer a piece of his synthesisers' craftsmanship to Funnuvojoere Records. This five tracker EP expresses Rotciv's skills with harmony and music progression. A1 AWAKENING starts off with a piano house arpeggio and slowly evolves into a trance acid-tinged explosive motive. Organic feeling drums develop giving it a disco touch that will put a smile on the crowded dance floor. A2 GOOD SPELL combines a pure cosmic style with a New Beat-like dissonance and uplifting vocals. B1 KNOW THE UNKNOWN keeps the experimentation levels high with distortions and an 8bit dialogue that drifts into a progressive-kind of sound. Deeper than the rest B2 puts on stage a dark landscape that reminds of a black and white vampire movie. B3 INTERMISSION follows up and gives the final ambient touch to this delightful EP.

Frequent collaborators Shaun Reeves and Tuccillo team up on Archie Hamilton’s Moscow Recordings, bringing three intricate cuts plus a remix from Premiesku member Floog.

Both artists have been releasing music for over a decade with Tuccillo making appearances on Inermu, Holic Trax, Djebali and 8bit, whilst Reeves initially burst onto the scene via Raum… music and Wolf + Lamb before co-founding Visionquest where he still continues to release the bulk of his work.

That label is also where the pair initially joined forces and, aside from an outing on One Records and Shantu, where the two have consistently collaborated. Following the release of Archie Hamilton’s debut album, Reeves and Tuccillo now join Moscow Recordings alongside artists like Argy, Noha, Mennie and Floog.

Meandering onwards, ‘Fill Callings’ is a deep and dubby cut with pulsating bass, skipping hats and metallic whirrs. Next, ‘Chaboi’ ups the tempo, implementing a compelling groove whilst deep chords are joined by various tiny elements that pan throughout the mix, leading into ‘Anak’ – a stripped back number with a mean bassline, crystalline stabs and murmuring vocals. On remix duties, Romanian producer Floog adds extra thud to ‘Fill Callings’ courtesy of pronounced kicks and a reverbing snare that drives the track forward whilst a combination of distorted effects squelch and rattle.

We got our first taste of Tim Engelhardt’s prodigious talent when ‘Under Armour’ featured on
WhoMadeWho’s acclaimed Watergate 26 compilation earlier this year. The track was a masterstroke of
tension-filled chords and crisp drums that put him squarely on the radar of the WG faithful.
His first EP for the label ‘Rhy’, captures the essence of Watergate’s famous Waterfloor at dawn. The title
track is drenched in sheaths of warm melodies, as velvety vocal undertones and sweeping strings
welcome the morning light. ‘When The Sun Illuminated Her Eyes’, is the more driving accompaniment, as
textured synths and delicate keys shine a light on Engelhardt’s accomplished skill as a pianist.

El Choop based in the UK has been honing his craft relentlessly since his introduction to the scene, Skeleton Crew reflecting this with its polished hard hitting style sure to satisfy many a dance floor.

BLIQ unveil a debut release by Greek producer Aphelion aka George Konstantoulakis (member of Equations Collective). "Volatile Radiance" sets the pace with otherworldly futurism, while "Cosmic Vibrations" completes the A-side with addictive bass notes & crystallised melodics. On the flip, legendary electro producer Silicon Scally (Carl Finlow) follows a menacing cyberfunk route, while Aphelion's original, concludes the release with an interplanetary rhythm track interpretation.

Aquarius Heaven is the next guest to appear on the ever so inspiring Bunte Kuh label. ‚Take It Easy‘ comes packed with four stellar selections; two original works from the German, as well as two remixes from Clement Kassianov and Pattern Drama.
The title track eases you into this one, with filtered kicks paving the way for poetic vocals and melodies that climb upwards in energy and a stature. Clement Kassianov then offers his interpretation, bringing together tribal percussion that work effortlessly alongside the hook of “Take It Easy”, coming and going across the duration.
Over to the B Side and Aquarius is back on the original works with ‘Backstage of the Backstage’ - a faster paced and darker cut with haunting synth pads that open the room for an equally eerie muffled vocal. Renowned for his slick final house on a range of top labels, here he offers four more such cuts that will melt the mind.Opener Outers is a slippery and sleek number with icy hi hats and rugged basslines. It’s heady tackle that really gets under your skin.Veda ups the pace with more super well programmed drums and deft little hi hats and drum fills as well as some warped vocals that bring a brilliantly freaky feeling.Milenial then gets down and dirty, with kinetic kick drums and rasping synths, popping cow bells and a relentless sense of groove.Closing things out is Cause, a deep, bubbly number with underlapping bass, gloopy synths and a dry, catchy groove that gets you locked.All in all this is another first class EP.

Influential Spanish artist Coyu is stepping out on his own Suara label with a long overdue debut album entitled ‘You Don’t Know’ that is going to shatter all conceptions about him. Due for release this September 23rd, the 16 track affair showcases his broad range and takes in collaborators like Moby, Lazarusman, The Horrorist, Thomas Gandey and many more.

Coyu quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the most prominent names in underground dance music. The Spanish man famous for his love of cats has established his Suara label as a go-to outlet for the most essential house and tech tracks, as well as releasing his own expressive grooves on Cocoon Recordings, Diynamic, Bedrock Records, Turbo Recordings and MORE. Now he really stretches his legs across a fantastic full length album that goes way beyond the dance floor and shows many new sides to his sound. The artist has been working on it since 2012 and aims to show people that whatever they think about him is wrong.

Says the artist himself, “the album is named ‘You Don't Know’ because many people have a preconceived idea of who I am. Until now, maybe I wasn't smart enough to show them my roots, what I love and what I can offer to the music. I'm not just a DJ or a producer who can play or make grooves – I love many different genres and many different kinds of music. With this album I want to change that preconception.”

The album kicks off with a dramatic spoken word from legendary vocalist Lazarusman before exploring low slung and sleazy grooves on ‘The Three Chimney’, floaty light melodic and dreamy house on ‘Out of The Pain’ and more club focussed but just as dreamy fair on ‘We All Try’ with Mike Leary.

Proving he can do everything from poolside gems to peak time techno, ‘Fear Is Gunna Be A Player In Your Life’ is one to get you in a trance with its sonar like synths and rolling deep space drums. Thomas Gandey aka Cagedbaby then steps up to guest on ‘1+1’ which is a hands in the air piano anthem to pump the party, and ‘Wanna Do Right, Wanna Do Wrong’ is a techno cut with brilliantly energetic drum programming and a big, perfectly placed vocal sample.

Switching up the vibe is ‘I May Be Dead, But One Day The World Will Be Beautiful Again’ with none other than dance legend Moby. It is a heavenly track with break beats, angelic melodies and a celestial feel that leaves you refreshed. The second half touches on raved-up drum & bass, gurgling minimal techno and harder techno with mind melting acid synths. The Horrorist contributes to the banging ‘My First Pill’, while the techno journey continues with ‘Unite’ featuring Gabriella Vergilov before the album finishes on the fluttering ambient track ‘Insania’, with mad church bells and manic percussion all bringing things to a close in style.

A familiar face in the Los Angeles house scene, Nikola Hlady aka Cromie has established himself through his talents and graft in the studio showcasing his distinctive deep house rhythms, clever chord progressions and focus on charismatic sound design. His previous releases on Material Image, Amadeus Records and These Things Take Time join hypnotically driven atmospheres with captivating rhythms creating forward- thinking yet classically-minded sonics. His ‘Root Bulb’ EP sees the LA producer join the Clave House family accompanying artists such as Ali Berger, Pascäal, 外神 deepspace, Appian, Gerald Norton, Segv and Berndt.

Cromie's ‘Root Bulb’ EP picks up where his 2018 releases left off, taking inspiration from the Southern California landscape that surrounds him, with its juxtaposition of endless expanses of concrete amidst its staggeringly diverse flora and famous sunshine.

While "Hexagon Cloud" may be Erika's debut solo release, this is by no means her introduction to the scene. For years Erika has been a member of Ectomorph and co-conspirator of Interdimensional Transmissions, but since these projects play shadowy games with identity and perception, she may just need that introduction. Erika was raised in a household full of Science and Music. Growing up surrounded by discarded computers, she built her own machines and ran a BBS from her bedroom before she went to high school. Moving to Ann Arbor in 1993, she ran into the peripheries of Detroit's burgeoning underground
electronic party scene via her involvement as a jazz DJ and Program Director at WCBN, the University of Michigan's student run radio station. Though she took formal piano lessons from a young age, it was her ability to tame machines that brought her invitation into Ectomorph in 1997.

Her focus in Ectomorph was live analog synthesis and fluid improvisational interactions with Ectomorph & IT founder BMG. As Ectomorph evolved beyond the boundaries of the sullied word "Electro", Erika continued to work with BMG on his other projects, including keyboard work on the "Credit Card" single with Sal Principato. Through years of touring and throwing some of Detroit's finest underground parties, Erika grew and took shape as vinyl DJ and analog composer of her own right.

Composing without the aid of a computer, Erika's system is centered around a rare highly flexible hardware sequencer. The ideas flowed quickly, and what began as an EP quickly blossomed into a double album with the aid of production from BMG. Science and music, dreams of space and icroscopic organisms, mutation of plant life and the birth of stars, all come together effortlessly in her work to sound like post acid techno subterranean spelunking in a quest to return to the stars. Or at least to the northern "Hexagon Cloud" of Saturn.

Artist Bio:
Erika dreams on the cellular level, or perhaps of transdimensional intelligences moving through strange patterns on celestial objects, working towards a mysterious goal. Her connection to the dreamworld becomes concrete in her approach to music, simultaneously so solid and yet so
ethereal. Erika still finds time to accomplish many things in her waking hours, such as being a member of Ectomorph, co-conspirator of Detroit's Interdimensional Transmissions record label, DJing with vinyl, making music with her pet machines, and running - a freeform streaming radio station. celebrates its 14th year this year, being one of the very first iTunes presets. From 1993 through 1999, Erika was very involved in WCBN in Ann Arbor, as a freeform and jazz DJ, and Program Director.

The daughter of a famed scientist and already running a well known BBS from her bedroom by the time she was 13, Erika is no stranger to expressing her ideas through technology. In 1997 she was handed a TR-606 and asked to join Ectomorph, and has since become an electronic musician of the highest order, focusing on analog synthesis, with live hardware sequencing that allows transformation over time and a deep depth of tone. The release of her debut solo double album *Hexagon Cloud* is due imminently on IT.

On the A side LXK takes us on a dark and mysterious journey thru the backwoods of the German Schwarzwald, with lots of organic sounds and crackles. The second track on the A side features a groove heavy Dub Version.

Disfunction is a cool, minimalistic deep house tune, whose rhythmic percussion groove will hardly let one leg stand still.
Martin Eyerer’s brought Disfunction in a more technoid context, but his version never loses sight of the groovyness as well.
The second original of the EP, Travelling Without Moving, is carried by a deep pad, which is constantly wafting in the background, giving the track a cozy warm mood. Friends of the black gold can already look forward to the trippy track Moon Tune, which will only be released on vinyl for the time being.

Two raw extended trips from the mind of STL in a rare foray beyond his self-run Something imprint. Stephan Laubner applies his usual auteur principles to these groove experiments, whose sounds circle round each other cagily, rough meeting smooth, organic meeting synthetic, all combining in a propulsive form that's classic STL. Shifty hats on 'Crank Notion' provide an insistent shuffle through which nauseous pads plot a dissonant course. 'Neat Buzzl' is a grimier excursion in the undergrowth, little creatures scurrying left and right while the kick maintains its forward stomp. Written in Toronto and Montreal between 2017-2018, this debut LP from ex-terrestrial is in part the residue of long drives through Belgian countryside listening to shadow music. Gamma Infolded is a reflection of the fractured self, a culmination of distractions erected into intricate edifices. Dense foundations of dissonance support quirky, smile-inducing melodies in curious and odd states of being.
All that can break is broken and all that is amplified is nullified.

Cadenza Records kick starts it's 10th year in the game with 'Hunter', a release that balances the warm and cinematic productions of Martin Patino's original mixes, with the dark and powerful remix by young upstart, Julien Bracht. With previous releases and remixes on labels such as Freerange, Suara, Trapez and Rotary Cocktail, Patino is carving out an expansive and eclectic deep house sound, and his talents are perfectly captured on this release. 'Your Lips, Underwater' is a track that's been bubbling under for many months, a percussive and melodic groove wrapped together with heavy analogue bass and teasing jazzy keys. Title track 'Hunter', featuring the vocals of Astrid Hald, is a powerful, brooding production. The house groove develops perfectly, with the melancholic vocal back dropped by the dramatic and haunting pianos and strings, evoking shades of Massive Attack production values. 'Hunter' is a stunning and very original piece. Cadenza's newest signing, Julien Bracht, supplies a remix of 'Hunter', offering up an all-together different shade to the original. Aptly titled the 'Darkmix', Bracht gets busy deconstructing and reconstructing, taking just mangled snippets of the vocal with swathes of rumbling, aquatic bass washing over the reverb soaked, drum heavy routine.
