Following a pair of sensational releases on the label this summer, Defected Records are proud to present this special 12” delivery from Darius Syrossian. Kicking off the A-Side with his stellar collab with Jamie Jones, ‘Rushing’ has deep tribal drums, a jacked-up beat and the Strictly Rhythm vocal sample, making a perfect amalgamation of Jamie Jones and Darius Syrossian’s styles.

Their impressive inaugural release as a pair has already been turning heads on the White Isle and beyond. The A-Side also features a vinyl exclusive with the Afterparty Basement Mix, stripped back and with atmospheric keys that alter its sound.

On the flip is Darius’ latest single on Defected, opening with ‘Come On Come On’, where he delivers a dose of upbeat driving house, a rubbery bouncing bassline and a chopped-up version of the vocal sample that features in both tracks on the single. Rounding off the release is another vinyl exclusive, with the Warehouse Techno Dub Mix of ‘Kouka’, a heavy-hitting dose of main room techno set to get pulses racing.

With this release we bring you a more than solid collaboration between Massimo Cassini, Arg.o & 2Dave, all newcomers to the label with their Morfos EP. The first track from them is Morfos, which starts with a simple rhythm and develops itself slowly growing in density of sounds, ambience structures and definitely creating a great immersive feeling. The synth pad in the background is what generates this great dissonant vibe with soft touches of deep-tech and house. The second original track has a much more intense groove with a defined techno structure. It's driven mainly by a synth bass and strong deep bass line too, which both together works as a tension generators. The synth in the background is present during the whole track, until the low-pass filters opens slowly and complemented by a hard reverb in the base elements, creates together a great emotive vibe right before the release where the bass kicks back gently. The first of the two remixes was in charge of the Argentinian Re Us duo, part of Bad Barbie crew, with a strong a solid work over Morfos, re-working it and giving it a strong tech vibe mainly driven by a clubby bass line and strong ambience fxs that can easily rock any dance floor. The synths riffs from the original track are very present creating the needed articulations during the cuts and mainly during the main long break, which also get themselves complemented by the subtle vocals and the vast amount of base arrangements. The last and not least of the remixes is from nothing else than Chris Tiejten, who put his hands over Afflicted working with much more minimalistic approach, aiming to create a fully hypnotic groove. And he made it perfectly. The great work in the base elements and endless amount of surrounding fxs and arrangements with delays and pannings all over the listener, generates this amazing minimalistic feeling. For sure it's a highly dynamic release that will cover many needs of the modern and veteran the djs.

We are happy to present our next vinyl release. This time the brazilian Pedro Turra aka Click Box debuts on the label with a powerful opening track, amazing percussion and dubby chords. Followed by Max (Italy) who delivers "Brain" with a very analog sound and a woozy bassline. On the side B, Juan Rodriguez and Mateo Torres appear once again like LDG introducing "Know How", with a sweet melody and inquisitive pads through the track. "Deli" by the well-known Javier Ferreira (Ninefont) closes the EP with a hypnotic groove and big ambience ideal for late nights.

The "Shaker Plates label is returning with the 6th release of their sub label Rüttelplatten'. The Spanish producers Eddy Romero & Inaki Cerqueira are trying to catch people on the dancefloor as well as the regular listeners of modern electronic dance music. With "Primera" and "Bass" the young label is moving ahead with two Deep Tech House smashers for all sound systems. Label owner Gunman did the Remix for "Primera" and Sascha Wallus from Hannover contributed his interpretation for "Bass". But these guys are just a part of the Rüttelplatten' Family, with some other members already awaiting their turn to shine.

Rewire continues with his fine minimalism style with a new superb release by the Spanish talent Medu.
Medu's growth so far has been impressive and in this release has maintained his unique relentless,
hypnotic, techno groove but in a different way.
Besides releases on his own labels Tip Tap Records and Rewire, his music has been released on Dissonant,
CMYK, Inmotion and Metroline amongst others.
The A side, 'Natarash', is a ten minute techno experimentation that rattles, twists, shakes and rises with
elegance.
This track is perfect to get tripped at some after-hours early hours, with clever use of dark pads, hypnotic
ambience, organic textures and off beat piano keys.
On the B side the French producer Doubtingthomas (who we got to know for releases on influential labels
such as Eastenders or Amam) takes Natarash to different territories adding plenty of funk and groove. His
remix is a super funky and infectious minimal bomb, getting a pure rhythm behind of the original textures and
vibes!
The closing track (B2 side), 'Dios del Rio', is a trippy and groovy sound. Super clever drum programming
and vocal hooks are the main elements of the track, while a huge sub bass and bright hats lead the song!

Multi-talented musician and artist Namito has remained an important gure in the very fabric of Berlin's Melodic House & Techno scene, right since its humble beginnings. 

His autobiographical concept album Letting Go' charts the story of his early years, when he was forced to ee his native homeland Iran, as a 13 year old boy and plots the struggle of him coming to terms with growing up as a young refugee, on his own in West Berlin. 

Letting Go reveals his most pivotal moments between 1985 to 1993: the East-West conict, the fall of the Wall, his entry into a Bhagwan-Commune and his decision to drop out of school for music.

Belgium's Thomas Moon has made his own sound in electronic music. Playing in his career in more than 15 countries in 5 different projects, he now produced for the first time a SOLO album with his new project. Born in Belgium, he grew up with the Belgian sound, infused with grunge and rock until the "new beat" and "dance " took over the world. He started producing electronic music being influenced by the most interesting music genres, from hard techno to classical music. With over fifteen years of DJ experience, he is eager to enter the club at all times and that shows in his eclectic performances behind the desk . Thomas Moon played at some of the bigger trance festivals in all of Europe, Israel and as far as Brazil.
Now his first (solo) album - MICRO SCIENCE - is coming to the scene, reflecting a story that will take you from darkness to the light, on a flowy beat creating a mellow atmosphere!

"Renaissance" return to their critically acclaimed 'ReMix Series' on 27 December as Patrice Bäumel takes on Sunscreem’s legendary ‘Perfect Motion’. Like many of the best records, Perfect Motion’s path to bonafide dance anthem wasn’t a simple one.

Having begun life as part of Sunscreem’s live sets and in near unrecognisable form on their debut album ’03', it went down a convoluted path of various mixes; first ‘in-house’ with the band’s resident DJ’s Dave Valentine and Lee Metson and then, when selected as the follow-up to their first hit Love U More, by way of remixes courtesy of Leftfield, Carl Cox and, of course, Farley and Heller’s Boys Own Mix.

Dave Valentine was a big admirer of Boys Own and wanted them onboard,” explains Sunscreem’s Paul, “we literally had to beg Sony to let them have a crack at it and, even then, weren’t overly impressed with the result. It was only after Pete Tong played it on Radio 1, describing it as ‘their best work ever’, that they changed their minds.”

The rest, as they say, is history. Although a dance chart number 1 and top 20 hit on release, its enduring appeal undoubtedly goes hand in hand with its inclusion on Sasha and John Digweed’s ‘Renaissance - The Mix Collection’. Vocalist Lucia picks-up the story, “The fact Perfect Motion was so different on our album was a key factor I think.

The Mix Collection introduced the Boys Own mix to a wider, global audience in all its glory for the first time.” And an audience that proved to be, fast forward 3 years to 1997 and the now worldwide appeal of the track was fully realised when the band were booked to play legendary New York club Twilo. With thousands outside blocking the street and the club packed to the point they were forced to open the fire escapes, the promoter turned and said, “They’ve come to hear you play Perfect Motion!”Now Patrice Bäumel seizes the enviable, though daunting challenge, of updating the track for 2019 (just).

Not that he need have worried, if ever there was a hairs-on-the-back-of-your-neck dance anthem you need in your Christmas tune stocking, this is it. The mix captures all the emotive drama of the original, whilst subtly contemporising it with a stripped back, cleaner sound. “I actually requested Perfect Motion,” says Patrice, “the remix projects I am most interested in are the ones that allow me to cross genres and where at the same time I love the original material.

Sunscreem’s Perfect Motion ticks both these boxes. I have been in love with the blissful vocals and pad section of this classic forever. The original has this lovely 90’s UK indie rave feel, similar to EMF’s Unbelievable. To me, those were formative years, I remember watching MTV all day, hoping for anything resembling electronic music to interrupt the endless stream of grunge and rock ballads.

My reinterpretation aims to transport the original into modern times and make it suitable for today’s dancefloors. At the same time, I wanted to keep an element of nostalgia in there for those who have been around long enough to have fallen in love with Perfect Motion back in the day. The result is a record that I think has the potential to appeal to house and techno DJs alike.”

UK's unsung hero Mark Hand infuses the original with some UR vibes, the dynamic duo FYI Chris twist and turns the track into something truly original and finally Saine finish the whole thing off with a beautiful version you never want to end.

There are no signs of stopping the Dutch-man, with a gig diary nearly hitting triple digits this year his versatility and refreshing sound has toured him across the planet. His commitment and passion to the music he plays has amounted to a packed out diary and this second EP on Nick Curly & Gorge's infamous 8bit imprint.

It is this determination and respect for his craft that has propelled Franky Rizardo to steadily become one of house musics most dynamic individuals.

Renaissance are proud to announce the arrival of Fur Coat to the label.

‘Hurricane’ is the first single to be taken from their upcoming album, ‘Polyphony’ (due October), and features the vocal talents of Running Pine who came to prominence last year on Mind Against’s ‘Trust My Eyes’.

The original version of ‘Hurricane’ also marks a double first as it sees the Fur Coat duo - Sergio and Israel - exploring new sounds. “There’s a more indie, electronic vibe to ‘Hurricane’,” explains Sergio, “because it’s from the upcoming album we had the scope to experiment more.”

“It’s still us though,” continues Israel, “I think it maintains the melodies and groovy elements that characterise our sound.”

And the good news is the release doesn’t stop there. If bass guitar and Running Pine’s haunting vocal’s aren’t your thing, the guys have kindly contributed a dubbier, club mix, which really is Fur Coat in all their melodic techno glory. “If the original is more for the day, the clue is in the title of this mix; we specifically produced it for the peak, night time dancefloors,” Fur Coat confirm.

Last, but by no means least, comes Tim Green, who supplies one of the most beautiful remixes you are likely to hear all year. Tim’s been forging a rich vein of form of late with releases and collaborations on Seb Leger’s ‘Lost Miracle’ and Lee Burridge’s ‘All Day I Dream’, and his mix firmly taps into that ethereal, deep sound.

Following our deep & dubby vibes, this time is our British friend now based in Australia, Niko Maxen, as usual, no digital promotion and limited edition.

We're accustomed to hearing releases from Central Processing Unit which veritably fly out the traps. Indeed, you could spend hours listing all the great uptempo club tracks that have dropped via the Sheffield label down the years, rambunctious rollers from artists like DMX Krew and 96 Back. However, there is another side to the CPU sound, one that is slower, more considered and owes plenty to downtempo and 90s electronica.

Paul Blackford is a producer who has long embodied these two facets of CPU's output. On one hand you have his 2014 label debut The League Of Shadows, a set of fizzing IDM-techno innovations which remains highly sought-after to this day; on the other there is Light Years, the cool and collected return to CPU that Blackford made three years later. The latter record, with its painterly synth work and neck-snapping drums, remains a touchstone for Blackford's latest CPU release, a new twelve-track LP entitled Betamax.

While the tempos of Betamax may be rather relaxed, the sonic palette used here very much links up with CPU's other drops. It is one forged in the forward-thinking electronic styles of the 1990s - Drexciyan electro, Boards Of Canada's wistful electronica and the boundary-pushing IDM of Rephlex Records. Mind you, this is also one of the first CPU drops to draw a little from another side of the traxx - though Betamax may not be as schooled in plunderphonics as DJ Food or Nightmares On Wax, there is something in the lilt of these beats which obliquely doffs its cap to those old breaks.

Betamax proves yet again that Blackford is adept at experimenting and incorporating new influences across the course of a record without disrupting its vibe. As well as standing adjacent to the machine-funk sound that has long been a cornerstone of electro, Light Years was an LP in which subtle nods to G-Funk and P-Funk could be discerned in the rhythmic programming. These influences are felt once more on Betamax cuts such as 'Far From Home' and 'Fortress' - the former comes off like an after-hours take on Space Dimension Controller, or maybe even Daft Punk's 'Something About Us'. Meanwhile a space-age, slightly alien quality enters the production in the album's final third, something signposted by aptly-titled highlight 'The Nasa Beat'.

While Paul Blackford's Betamax may switch the pace up for Central Processing Unit, the album's richly-harmonious electro-hop sound proves a fine foil to the label's more high-octane releases.

The newly founded - Picture:' series of Diynamic is a document in time, showcasing an artist's current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualise and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP. 'Picture:' is various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.

Distant Worlds HQ has tasked 4 sonic scientists, spaced intermittently throughout the earth, to each intercept a transmission on behalf of the electronic music community. Tagwell Woods steps up first with a mournful, melancholic but beautiful interpretation of hardware-based electronica. Castel unearths a track from the mid 90s telling of a progressive approach to acoustics. Flip over for a downtempo trip into the future past courtesy of label fave, Mihail P and HOLOVR tops this release off with an acidic excursion into an expanded state of consciousness.

The levels of intrigue continue to run high around the rapidly developing Vigenere label, as the Malin Genie-helmed label continues to showcase lesser known talents operating in more adventurous corners of the techno domain. Yard One are a UK duo split between London and Manchester, and you can certainly here a rough n' ready soundsystem attitude and the ghost of classic '90s techno permeating the textured, knotty rhythms on opening cut "Sky Kings". "Cellular Entanglement" takes things in a more serene direction, but not at the expense of crisp beats to propel the twinkling synths along. Unfurling" presides over the flip with a mystical atmosphere that should appeal to those who like their techno oceans deep and dubbed out to perfection.

Swedish record label Trunkfunk celebrates the impressive landmark of 20 years releasing music with the first of a two-part vinyl sampler series. Championing the Scandanavian electronic sound, both samplers combined will form twelve tracks to be included in a twenty track compilation album to follow later this year.

His Name Was Juri from Algorythm opens the release in style with celestial organ and lush bass. The track progresses with percussive elements creating an ever-growing state of hypnotism. A murky bassline snakes in between breakbeat before bright keys shine through on this exuberant track. franskild, the Swedish production duo of Tim Soderstrom and Love Ojensa who have released on Kistuné Music and Lotss Records, bring their brand of melancholic and playful house music to Plastic Yacht.

Dawl + Sween are back on Klasse Wrecks with a follow up to their well received 'Rise of the Humanoids' EP from 2018. The UK DJ-Producer combo is back with more of the same classic Electro-Break sonics that had the fans of the first EP feinding so hard. The mantra seems to be similar too, no frills and direct to the point with equal parts Bleep and Rave thrown in resulting in a no brainer buy of a record. SWITCH!

Multi-talented musician and artist Namito has remained an important gure in the very fabric of Berlin's Melodic House & Techno scene, right since its humble beginnings. 

His autobiographical concept album Letting Go' charts the story of his early years, when he was forced to ee his native homeland Iran, as a 13 year old boy and plots the struggle of him coming to terms with growing up as a young refugee, on his own in West Berlin. 

Letting Go reveals his most pivotal moments between 1985 to 1993: the East-West conict, the fall of the Wall, his entry into a Bhagwan-Commune and his decision to drop out of school for music.

Bogota based venue Kaputt kicks starts the label side of things with seven track compilation featuring Alejandro Paz, Nuclear Digital Transistor, Eddie Mercury & Mijo, Rodion, Kabinett, Damon Jee & Ravintsara, Alvaro Cabana & Julian Sanza.

Born from the new Bogota based club who’ve invited the likes of Call Super, Axel Boman, Kornel Kovacs and more, Kaputt launch a brand new label from the enigmatic streets of Colombia’s capital.
Bogota is a place where the underground scene has recently built a new sound of resistance, a sound that sets the local scene alight through unity and community and is now moving on to break down
international borders.

First up is Alejandro Paz, a Chilean musician and DJ whose music is characterized by vocal displacement and musical selection, full of dark Latin American material. His track 'Bogotá' is a lively
dark disco cut with rugged bass and angular rhythms that are finished with some acid melodies. Eddie Mercury then links with Mexican Mijo for the frazzled bass and dystopian bleep-disco cascades of the
excellent 'Chundify.'

The Nuclear Digital Transistor duo is two DJs from the Bogota scene, Pal and Pizarro, who have released on the Ombra International label run by Curses. Their 'Borrador 9' is cosmic groove with crisp
boom bap drums, hits and plenty of stepping arps that reach for the skies. Rodion is from Rome and is regarded as the “new genius of Italian Dance music” after releases on Gomma, Eskimo and City
Slang. He shows why with the chugging dark disco anthem and freaky vocals of 'Processare.'

Critical Monday boss Damon Jee has released on the likes of Correspondant Records, Roam and Hafendisco and is well regarded by from the likes of Joris Voorn to Chris Liebing. Here he links with
Ravintsara for 'Medea' which is filled with post-punk energy, tense synth progressions and real dance floor darkness. Next up is Kabinett, the darkest side of Colombia’s Nicolás Saavedra, co-founder of Nomada Records and someone who offers up 'Don Kebab' here - a skyward track with big disco arps and twisted bass all gliding along and getting the floor under its spell. Last of all, Alvaro Cabana &
Julian Sanza link for 'Psychedelic Advise' which is moody and haunting, with stark hits and metallic synths that ride over rugged and macho drums

Romanian locals and Vatos Locos alumni Floog & Mahony come together for the tenth release of VL Recordings.

'Boem' begins with that signature Romanian pulse, the slight distorted vocal elevates this track to another world speeding up to the finish line with a peak techno beat. Straight in with the pace, 'Continued' chugs along with a bubbling beat and effortless vocals. Deep roller.

Doing what a B-side should do 'Nu Mai' hits us with something completely different. Infectious loops and sonic vibrations make for a fast-paced whimsical piece of music goodness. Culminating in an exploding dancefloor pleaser.

For the remix VL Recordings enlisted the help of none other than the Bronx born duo The Martinez Brothers. They take 'Nu Mai' to another dimension. Previewed on their Fabric Mix in September, this has been waiting all year for release. Futuristic cosmic beats bubble over an electronic bassline. Straight away it is obvious who has put their signature spin on the closing track of this sublime EP.

The minimal imprint from Chicago is back with it’s second vinyl only release featuring 2 heavy hitting producers Nima Gorji and Christian Burkhardt.

Side A: 2 original tracks by Nima Gorji inspired from the early 2000s. Dusty drums and blissful arp sequences, everything you need to feel good.

Cuartero Concept is moving forward firmly with its third reference signed by label boss himself plus the Argentinian beatmaker Bodeler. They are the responsible of ‘Lamine’, an ambitious three track EP where limits of groove are in a constant challenge.

Opener ‘Lamine’ shows the capabilities of such a powerful combo offering a slick house production. The female vocal shout drives listener while the sci-fi percussion set a dynamic vibe and a personal touch.

Next up, ‘Comba’ and its danceable bouncing bassline moves your feet since the very first beats of the track. The rattling hats adds an infectious extra rhythm offering a danceable an actual beat that goes extremely well with the early Chicago days house sound.

For this project called 'the joint venture', Inner Shift are teaming up alongside Deep Explorer. This part on Inner Shift follows the first part which was released earlier this year on Deep Explorer. .Mahal. is a Japanese producer and dj with a history of playing music with previous releases on Rough House Rosie. The "Space Space Ep Part 2" contains 3 original tracks that dive into deep house with a more abstract edge. Red & Blue immediately captures your attention with original sensual guitar and vocal lines. Remix duties are courtesy of the Deep Explorers Above Smoke and Dubbyman taking Red & Blue into a broken beat downtempo space. On the B side Behind the Scene has a more abstract edge, and Mind Games with its driving acid bassline is complimented by lush chords keeping it warm and deep.

A Spanish producer, Selid represent his track 'New Position' Dark groovy sinuous bassline underpinned with deftly arranged flair-hi-hats, catchy vocals, soaring synth chords, floaty breakdowns - all these elements harmonicly create a unique hypnotic dub vibe.

Back once again. This one is coming live and direct from Baltimore in the mid 90s. It is the second and final part of the Gargoyle Classics reissues and it’s packed full of juicy juicy dance floor goodness. As with the previous Gargoyle record it is raw as they come. Hitting hard whilst feeling totally impromptu and freestyled as well.

Two of the tracks are reissues from Tony & Don’s Gargoyle imprint and two of them, just like last time are never before released tracks written during the same period. Ten After 3 and Do You Believe (Space Evader Mix) are both ridiculously huge and I’m gassed outta my miiiiiind to bring them to the table for public consumption for the first time.

Butter Side Up continues to build on its carefully curated discography with a new EP from LA based producer Liquid Earth aka Taylor Freels. The super fresh four tracker offers silky late night house music and comes with original artwork by Sophie Doulala.

Cali-born, Berlin based Freels is best known as Urulu, an alias which has released a distinctive brand of transatlantic, solar-infused house music on Voyage, Tartelet and These Things Take Time. Liquid Earth is a newer alias that debuted on TerraFirm 4 last year and has more cosmic intentions, as proven across the four fine tracks he offers here.

Liquid Earth's grasp of groove is second to none from the off: Twisted Metal is a slippery house cut with clipped drums that are wrapped up in warped synths and trippy little sci-fi details. It's punchy but pensive and one to get the floor moving. Senator Bongwater's Revenge is more edgy and up-tempo, with steel plated kicks and a hurried groove that is run through with a gorgeous lead synth that brings some sunshine to the crunchy, punchy beats.

On the flip, Transcedenton recalls the most spaced out and trippy Detroit house with its little acid twitches, jumbled toms and hits and squelchy bass all making for a wriggling groove that gets right under your skin. Add in lush chords that bring the heat and you have another timeless classic. Last of all, Neural Circuits gets busy with restless and kinetic drum programming, expansive synth smears and a party starting but classy peak time vibe that takes you into the cosmos.

This is another connoisseur house offering from this small but perfectly formed label.

An artist who's making a huge name for himself right now with sell-out releases on the likes of 1080p, Shall Not Fade and Church.

Based in Australia, I've Always Like Grime' is a track that has a serious amount of hype behind it with people talking about this tune for some time, the reaction to hearing of its release was strong across UTTU's social networks.

PIEM is a driving force behind the Barcelona scene, curates the MOODs party at W Hotel in London, and releases slick house on Relief, Crosstown Rebels, Superfett Records and plenty of others.

He kicks off here with MESSING Ft. RION S, a playful house tune laden with great vocals from RION S. The grooves swing low and the chords and strings add soul and colour. It's the sort of tune that cannot fail to tempt people to the floor.

LA MADRUGADA is then a churning tech cut with tribal vocal chants and chunky drums all getting you into the beat and keeping you there. This is another winning effort from all involved.

On the A-Side, English producer Perseus Traxx, known for his raw house & electro bombs on Bunker, Solar One, I Love Acid or his own imprint Future Flash.

On the B-Side, Barcelona-based producer Mantra, also know under his aliases Myriadd or Acid Phreex, and responsible of several ravey bangers on Pinkman, Creme Organization, Bunker and Polybius Trax.

Two virtuoso producers for five acid pearls!

Shanti Celeste is a vibe. She’s got that magic lightness of touch even when things are getting Jacques Cousteau deep or panel beating heavy. This makes her the perfect candidate for the Sound of Love International 3, channelling the spirit of both those after-hours sessions and the more frivolous daytime boat parties. This is serious music for serious music heads but, after all, everyone is still on holiday. It’s linear and cohesive but plays with the emotions -carnivalesque fun, psychedelic flow-states, heads-down rhythm trax, playful skipping garage, and more abstract moments. Deep joy to deep space and back, often in the space of 3 or 4 well-selected records.

There’s a deep musical and personal connection to the festival - as she says of her first time playing at the Beach Bar, “there’s a heavy Bristol crew there and it all feels easy and nice. It was just good
vibes all round”. And she does make it sound easy too, which belies a DJ with some very serious skills and an ear for a killer tune that others might well overlook. And it’s this that makes the 3rd instalment of the Sound of Love International such a joy - a welcome panacea to all of us suffering from the Croatian blues this year.

To which end, we get a cheeky exclusive collaboration between Shanti and her sister-in-arms Saoirse in the shape of ‘Solid Mass’. Persian’s uniquely British paean to the post-rave Sunrise ‘Morning Sun’, cavernous dub runnings outta the Bokeh camp from Seekers International. These are the lift- off tunes, setting the mind-state for the journey ahead.

Things tighten up with cult underground hero Lucas Rodenbush under his E.B.E alias giving us the taught, grooving, dubby tech-house and Gideon Jackson’s ‘Taj Mahal’, crisp, spatial, mystical and criminally slept-on. We go deeper into the night with Perpetual’s Awakenings’, one of those records that is so much more than the sum of its parts. And who knew that Mark Seven was such a dab hand with the dank machine funk? Check 1998’s ‘Crank’ for the skinny. By the time Paco Pack’s rubberised ghetto house reimagining bounces into play it’s GAME OVER.

The final side leaves us with the soft landing - Cari Lekebusch ‘Output 2’ is both pacey and drifting and Pauline Anna Strom’s ‘In-Flight Suspension’ does what it says, whips away the drums and leaves us floating in space. Will we ever touch down?

To overuse a phrase, this compilation arrives in strange times but is a glorious reminder of what brought us all together and will again. The music and dancing under the stars. See you in 2021.

My Little Dog turns 10 years old and celebrates it with this massive vinyl only ep. This record perfectly defines the eclectic style of the label, always fluctuating between the different sides of tech house, but keeping a very genuine and particular sound. Kicking things off there is Mollono.Bass with his deep techno masterpiece Purple Fog. This track is called to be one of the hits that will be played at any good open air party during this summer.

The next track comes by the label owner, Oscar Barila, who delights us with "Push The Button", a song 100% true to his style. A powerful base, hot percussions, a fat bassline punching you in the chest and catchy vocals that won't get out of your head during several months.

When we flip the vinyl we find the vato loco Pinto. The Mexican house master really got the groove and "Motion" is not an exception. A sweet and hypnotic catharsis of synths and strings that will keep your crowd dancing like there is not tomorrow during its 7 minutes length.

Finally, the also label owner, Sergio Parrado, has teamed-up with his usual production partner Chinonegro to build "Enjoy The Night". Tribal, deep and hypnotic tech house with psychedelic synths. What else do you need? Just the perfect icing on the cake to celebrate that the little dog has been wagging the tale and barking loud during 10 years.

Latin America. The latest signing from the region is fresh Ecuadorian talent
ORDONEZ, resident of the world famous Lost Beach Club. THE SPELL EP
is definitely one of the biggest releases of 2015 so far, which says a lot as it has been
an amazing year so far!
THE SPELL
Smooth grooving percussion pushes this track along while ORDONEZ weaves in the
melody from a gritty Rhodes organ and adds to the magic with spiracles of electric
piano. But then, the seductive vocals come to the front and the whole track opens up
to become one of the catchiest tunes of the year. The drop after the long break is
just... no words can describe it! House Music all night long, yeeeah!
HOW YOU DOING
Next up is a funky sample-lead house burner. Nice earthy drums and a catchy guitar
riff offer a warm vibe for smiles and laughter on the dance floor. ORDONEZ clearly
has a very creative mind and this is demonstrated here with his intricate and creative
use of sampling and arrangement. Another very strong offering from the newest
member of the Mother Recordings family.

SUPERLOVER - the man who brought us Steam' - one of last year's biggest
tracks on MOTHER RECORDINGS - is back in full force this summer with a
new two-track EP. The Berlin born and based producer has brought us
another solid release that is perfect for the outdoor festival season. The
tracks LOVE FLUTE' and LOVE MACHINE' bring together melodic deep
house and disco for sunny, funky grooves and peaktime pleasure.

LOVE FLUTE' radiates with warm summertime joy to get the floor grooving.
A hypnotic, melodious hook keeps the wave of love rolling. Its positive,
anthem-like character gives it big hit potential.
LOVE MACHINE' has a super catchy guitar riff and funky house beat. The

Italy’s AGENTS OF TIME have long been on the KOMPAKT radar. Drive Me Crazy kombiniert Italo Chic und French Touch. My Heart Is A Microchip kommt zuerst wie ein Track für den Übergang daher, öffnet sich dann aber in einem Wasserfall an Synth und einem gierigen Breakbeat, um auf seine eigenen Kosten zu kommen. Under Control wiederum ist klassischer Moroder Disco, der in die Moderne überführt wurde. Ein Highlight der EP ist Aptly titled Interstate 10 - die Percussion steckt an und wartet auf die Prime Time.

2011 is set to be a huge year for Yousef, and arguably his strongest yet in the production field. After spending much of 2010 recording remixes and productions for other leading labels Yousef has come back super-strong on his own seminal Circus Recordings proven here if needed by his latest vinyl production.

It is centered on a very simple premise; taking 2 pieces of music and recreating them with Yousef's indiscernibly brilliant club night in mind. A resolutely dance floor-focused EP, that combine to create a unique aural tapestry representative of the Circus and Yousef's own musical evolution. Each is an intricate and heartfelt paean of love to Circus and the huge impact it has had on both clubland and Yousef's career for the last almost nine years, with the clubs birthday approaching this September. Yousef says that, 'The EP is a special project for me and one that is indicative of the way I am progressing. Getting to re-shape these tracks from some of my most respected peers has been a great opportunity to craft them with that special Circus sound'

It was a casual conversation with Sven Vath at the Circus presents Cocoon event in Liverpool where the pair DJed together led to the transformation of Ballet Romance from one 45 second album interlude into a chugging display of Teutonic elegance, whilst on the flip Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet) was instantly enamoured with the idea of Yousef remixing his Love Cry, and with the result a gorgeous slab of melodic tech house that reverberates brilliantly around the haunting female vocal you can understand his immediacy in sending the parts over as soon as Yousef requested them.
