Rosario city son Cape joins the castelar family. Four tracker EP with an outstanding remix from the usual suspect Ohm Hourani. This is not another minimal house record, certified thums up!

Italian talent Cioz and German duo Super Flu join forces for the first time to deliver the impressive Jodi Bush, due to be released on Crosstown Rebels this September.
The release begins with the progressive sounds of Jodi Bush. Rattling hats converge on staggered synth stabs, whilst guitar plucks provide an emotional aspect to the record. Body Juice fills the B-side in a similarly emotive fashion, with gentle bell chimes and warm, poignant keys.
Inspired by the sounds of Stimming, David August and Stephan Bodzin, Cioz is an artist whose sound does not fall far from the tree of those mentioned already. Melodic and winding in a manner akin to his contemporaries, the Italian is beginning to make real headway in the scene with releases on the likes of Monaberry and now Crosstown Rebela. German duo Super Flu are prolific producers in their own right,
with their tracks finding the perfect home on the likes of Moon Harbour and Mule
Musiq.

De Sluwe Vos (Dutch for 'The Sly Fox', a name derived from Aesop's fable of the Fox and the Crow) is the newest addition to the Dutch house and techno scene. His productions are supported by artists such as DJ Sneak, Joy Orbison, Boddika andBicep. Moreover, De Sluwe Vos has a packed tour schedule and travels many miles for all his national and international gigs.

With strong hooks and dirty kicks as his specialities, De Sluwe Vos has released multiple tracks on labels like 4Lux and Slapfunk. Lately, this cheerful producer from Dutch city of Deventer has even been gaining a foothold in the pop scene. His gig at Noorderslag did not go unnoticed: national music platform 3voor12 named him the best act of the festival.

De Sluwe Vos mixes various styles to create his own 'signature sound' with which he manages to constantly keep himself at the center of attention. His 'OG Anthem' is possibly one of the most notable tracks of the moment, this underground hit found its way to the surface and received airplay on both Dutch radio station 3FM and BBC Radio1.

With his discography, De Sluwe Vos is constructing a steady career. But he's not one to stay hidden away in the studio: he's at his best when dominating dance floors in clubs and at festivals. His ultimate goal is to bring the crowd to a higher state of mind, where worries simply disappear and the music takes over. Time and time again, De Sluwe Vosprovides proof for the big bang theory with his performances. Whether it's at Awakenings Festival in the Netherlands or at Together Festival in Cardiff: during his shows he is pure energy. His duet between his Roland TR- 909 drum computer and turntables is always a bold endeavor, just like his stage diving.

The fact that he is a fixture of the club scene is proven by his monthly international gigs, his own night The Core and his notorious live act. With the audiovisual show 'Kontra live', De Sluwe Vos is well underway to becoming 'one of the greats'. And that's no fable!

Ingi Visions strikes again! After their previous 'Get Slapped EP' it was time for some new heat. Blood brothers Samuel Deep and Julian Alexander known for their energetic style came up with four heavy club tunes ready for the dance floor. These tracks were played all summer and they always passed the test. Truly special illustrations by Firpo a.k.a Freschcore which symbolise two condors (two brothers) and their vision of a creature who's doing everything straight from his heart. “We first performed this at the All Points East festival in Victoria Park in May 2019. The crowd reaction was so positive that I was inspired to do my first-ever bit of crowd-surfing (which I enjoyed so much that I have repeated it a couple of times since). We played the song throughout the summer & eventually recorded it after our final
performance of the year at the End of the Road festival on September 4th. “It’s a straightforward love song about someone stuck alone in the house whilst the object of their affections is out dancing to House music at a rave. “‘Everybody in the Place’ is the title of a Jeremy
Deller 2019 documentary on Rave Culture.”

"I've always loved the sound of the Italian word Amarone (ah-mah-ROH-nay). In my native Spanish, amar means to love, so for me the word recalls that beautiful invitation: to love oneself. Lutto Lento makes a return to FTD to fulfil your wildest of wishes.
As with most of his work, the EP draws influence from across the musical world and defines something of it's own in the process. We're all really pleased that there's finally a saxophone solo on the label though.

While dilapidated drum machines, crunched beyond recognition, propel the record into techno territory, Glimmering Jewel retains the artist's bespoke youthful sense of blue-eyed naiveté. Red Axes come through with an unclassifiable, stripped-down reinterpretation of Fire Fly, the perfect pair to deconstruct and re-contextualize the original material. Theus Mago – the man, the myth, the legend from Mexico City. Leaving behind his characteristic synthwave / dark disco sound, the Duro label cofounder delivers a new experience where modular synths and Amazonian rhythms blend seamlessly with a type of laidback psychedelic techno music. All of this thanks to a huge amount of spices added to glue everything together just nice and deliciously. The Carrier People EP features three heating original tracks and a remix interpretation by unmistakable Curses

The EP starts off with an intergalactic, retro-futurist broken beat-ish track by legendary drum&bass producer Seba teamed up with O Persson under the East Bound moniker. Daniel Savio follows with a laid-back spacey synth journey, spiced with a 70ies sci-fi flavor, yet with a modern approach. The B-side meanwhile takes off with a dark, yet progressive techno groover by young talent Bonaca, ending with Daniel Araya's analogue-rich bomb, with a body-music type of vibe. Operating under the radar, but ROMB Records have so far been pushing an immensely diverse, yet cohesive soundscape of quality underground electronic music. The thirteenth release is no different, neatly summing up the label's genre-defying philosophy, presenting a four track collage of electronic mastery. That's how you do it!

Charmin Records has long been a formidable outlet for considered house tones, and on their latest V/A, the German label reminds us in emphatic fashion just what they're capable of. Featuring four delicious house cuts, this is an expertly crafted release with four tracks of different but equally delectable persuasion on show.
Opening up the release is the sounds of Wasserfall & Vaage's 'Orbits'. A sci-fi tinged cosmic workout, it's galactic properties are matched only by its sheer dancefloor ethos. A banging track that's perfect for peak time 'floors, it gets us underway with some panache.
Garben's 'Exploitation' is a different track altogether. An analogue-inspired jam, it features all the hallmarks of a classic Larry Heard jam. The perfect track with which to welcome in these warmer climes, this deep track is characterised by its fuzzy, melancholic ethos.
Next up is ØA°ll Ha°tes' 'øøø9'. A steely, industrial track with echoes of Shed at its core, it's both a warm and uncomfortable effort, but one that's thoroughly beguiling throughout.
Culminating the package is FM's 'Saturday Voices'. This one is decidedly more banging, with an unrelenting kick and a catchy-as-hell baseline at its core. A fine effort with which to sign out on, Charmin's latest is just like the label's name suggests: absolutely charming.

Will DiMaggio joins up with the FT gang to drop a serious slab of bubbling, synthetic, jazzy house on a special one-sided 12"! "Fusion" indeed channels the glorious synth-work of many over-the-top pioneers thru Mr. DiMaggio's skills on the keys, and the track bumps and bops with a nasty, ruff logic for the DJ crew and their dancers. Essential for those who feel that need to close your eyes and play air keys when you hear an absolute beast rip thru the speakers at "the spot". Killer!

Danish producer Asmus Odsat debuts on Iceland's FALK DISKS with four leftfield dancefloor cuts entitled 'Ecstatic Half Truth' this September.

Before moving to Iceland, Asmus Odsat was a key figure within Copenhagen's electronic music scene for nearly a decade. A former resident at Culture Box, Odsat was also co-founder of Ritual Malmö as well as the BULK club night, which has hosted artists like Surgeon, Dasha Rush, Lucy and Sleeparchive. Odsat now joins FALK DISKS, the club focused sub-label of FALK Records (Fuck Art Lets Kill) with his 'Ecstatic Half Truth' EP, receiving early support from names like Courtesy who included it in her guest mix on B.Traits' BBC Radio 1 show.

'Deal With It' sets the tone of the package with frenzied synths, warped atmospherics and a crunchy kicks before title track 'Ecstatic Half Truth' delivers a cacophony of percussion alongside twisted melodies and off-kilter breaks.

Up next, fast paced arpeggios meander alongside metallic top lines and a filtered 303 that unfolds throughout, making way for 'Soften The Clocks' which rounds off the package utilising disjointed rhythms, intense acid sequences and thundering low-end throbs.

No Blood Without' is the third full-length album from UK producer Graham Luckhurst aka Greymatter, following his acclaimed 2014 LP 'Visions' for WOLF Music. Inspired especially by the likes of Mr. G, Leon Vynehall, Mike Dehnert, Martyn, Anthony Naples, Ame, Shed, Theo Parrish and company, this LP is a more advanced expression of his love of sampled, lo-fi sounds and a step up sonically from previous material. Ranging from slow motion scratchy, heavily swung beatdown on 'Kensho' and 'Wallflower', to house and techno jams 'FCRL' and 'Argon Lover' to deeper, broken beats on 'Only A Fraction', 'In Shade' and 'Burning 4 U'. Greymatter's expansive musical palette has seen him take in an enormous range of music over the years, aided primarily by over a decade running the legendary Mr Bongo label with founder David Buttle. As a result his DJ sets include unique and varied selections ranging from London, Ghana, Rio, Chicago, Detroit, Lagos and beyond. After a 2-year break - required after being somewhat pigeonholed into 'deep house' - new Greymatter material began to surface late in 2016 with 'Move Slow' on WOLF '7 Years Who Cares' double-7" pack. This was followed by several singles and remixes, in preparation for this LP, released on his own label Unique Uncut.

Time Passages boss Binh is a big fan of Innershades. Last year he brought the Belgian producer to the label for the very first time and here offers up another four tracks from the rave-loving rising star. He hits the ground running with "It's Time", a warehouse-ready throb-job full of new beat riffs and creepy electronics, before offering up another funky Euro techno cut that sounds like it could have been played at an after-party in 1990 ("Forum"). Elsewhere, "Euphoria In Ginza" is a deliciously chiming and melodious breakbeat-house workout, while "No Romantic" is another retro-futurist romp full of squelchy synth bass and rushing, turn-of-the-90s style nostalgic riffs

Following a remix on Hottrax, James Burnham aka Burnski is back under his James Solace alias to release Mind Music, a formidable first full release featuring four equally as impressive tracks released this February on Hot Creations.

Keep On sets the tone of this sumptuous release, rumbling sub-bass holds the track together, like a huge wave it slowly gains intensity, given room to breathe until it unfurls into a powerful weapon. A heavy dose of playful funk is applied on Catalyst, with guitar, squelching synth and a dash of warm soul. Mind Music is a deep and hypnotic piece, an addictive vocal loop over laser sharp synth and becomes firmly embedded in the psyche. Finally, Groove does what it says on the tin and sees James expertly craft another solid beat where growling bass combines with licks of pulsating acid that will undoubtedly send the dance floor into raptures.

UK hero James Solace also known as Burnski has made his name through a penchant for moving through many styles of music with ease, always being one step ahead of the trend and mixing the new with the old. Whether it be his trade-mark tech-house grooves released under Burnski or through his Instinct alias and label where he channels drum and bass, garage and 2-step, his productions are always of the highest quality. He boasts regular gigs at esteemed venues including DC10, Fabric, Rex Club and Watergate. As well as this forthcoming EP under this alias on Hot Creations, he also has big records to come on Knee Deep in Sound, Four Thirty Two and Last Night On Earth. Also with a new live set that aired for the first time at Mint Warehouse recently for the Four Thirty Two party, expect the new James Solace project to take his career to the next level.

Coupling contemporary production pizzaz with nostalgia-tinged soundscapes and sweeping melodies, this opus acts as both a skilfully composed portfolio of personal memories and a sublime collection of crowd-charming cuts - a modern classic in the making, coming from a master of his craft.

1983 features collaborations with Gregor Schwellenbach, Waa Industry and WhoMadeWho's Tomas Høffding.

Hot on the heels of SPEICHER 84 (KOMPAKT EXTRA 84), featuring club crackers DERDIEDAS and TWO BIRDS, the latest full-length offering from KÖLSCH is very much a travel album: "When I was a kid in 1983, we used to drive through Europe every summer on the way to the south of France", he explains. "A lot of my early music memories stem from these long travels, as we would listen to all my father's favorite records on the cassette deck. After getting a walkman, I would make up my own soundtrack for travelling, with early electro and hip hop creeping into my life. My father of course did not like it, and it never grace the official cassette deck of the car, obviously"

These trips became a primary source of inspiration to a hungry young mind forced to sit on the backseat of a car for several days: "they were also journeys through the seasons. In Denmark, it would be spring time, so I could nearly see us driving through spring into the summer. The scenery would change, and so would the mood in the car." Informed by the symbolic quality of these slightly gauzy childhood memories, KÖLSCH's unique melange of emotional and functional elements works exceptionally well for the full-length format - a seamless transition of musing introspection and explosve expression, where catharsis never seems far away in dance-ready techno vignettes like MOONFACE, UNTERWEGS or PACER.

From beatless opener and title track 1983 to the filigreed piano banger DIE ANDEREN or the bleep-infused synth-fest E45, each cut operates as its own little time capsule, storing bits and pieces of recollection and then magically transforming them into epic, beat-driven soundscapes. Confronted with other producers' input (and other memories), these traits find themselves extended in the most interesting ways - TALBOT, THE ROAD and CASSIOPEIA (also featured on KOMPAKT EXTRA 79) make excellent use of GREGOR SCHWELLENBACH's emotive orchestral flourishes, while BLOODLINE's lyrics come to life thanks to the distinct timbre of TOMAS HØFFDING of WHOMADEWHO fame. A new powerful take on an earlier collaboration, PAPAGENO 30 YEARS LATER not only rejoins WAA INDUSTRY on vocal duty, but also ends the album on a wonderfully elegiac, yet hopeful note - basically turning water into wine, as we've come to expect from KÖLSCH.

The second VA from Velvet Pony is a collection of dusty house tracks that Art Alfie has gathered for the occasion, all plucked from the fertile house soils of Stockholm. It includes the first music from Mr. Tophat & Art Alfie since 2016, a laid back burner from lady of the hour Bella Boo and an absolute belter of a sample fest from Art Alfie and Måns Glaeser. Solid Uncoated returns with its second release, again compiling four productions from the inner circle of its network. D'Evoé opens the feld with »Failures«, a gloomy and cavernous hardware track resembling the bassline and pad recipe from S/U 001 in a more offensive manner. Next up is Arian Alexander, one half of the Monogenic duo, with »Pakchoi«: A lesson in sub-heavy, effective purism, pushing sparse chord stabs over a swinging 909 rhythm. Opening up the fipside there is Bool again, another acquaintance from the frst 12", delivering his trademark peak-time sounddesign within a massive, morphing chord sculpture.

London-based producer and dj Warren Brown, also known as Wbeeza, has written three exclusive tracks for Arma at his studio in Peckham. The 'Psychosomatic' EP is named after its intense, dancefloor-oriented title track and will be released on Arma. The vinyl, with accompanying cover artwork created by Moscow "surritualist" Protey Temen, will hit major online retailers in March 2015.

“Truth Rainbow” is an effortless sunsoaked anthem, sure to get beaming smiles out. “Breakaway”’s unconventional mid-range bassline will drive a set forward.“Pitch Disco ’97” on the other hand – a 21y old track salvaged of an old DAT tape – allows for a breather. All 3 tracks are destined to become a go-to for any sunny-afternoon-in-the-park set.

Dublin's R.Kitt, fresh off the back of an incredible live throw down at AVA festival in Belfast sent us through some divine music we absolutely had to have. "Ripples from the Edge" shares five sentimental yet forward thinking originals from the rising producer as well as a remix from label founder Eluize.

The title track comes at us with cascading arps, ariose droplets and pure, smokey pads that burst through a jungle of thumping percussion. "I Wish You Hadn't Said" gets going with gritty breaks and glassy synths that would be at home on a fog laden warehouse floor, mood lightening melodic jabs slice through before things turn back to a tumultuous minor. "Strange Perspective" is casual and light hearted, funk charged electro.

On the flip "Stitch Up" feels ancestral, heavy bass, earthy leads and a dark and enigmatic vocal hit heavy. Damhsa, the Irish word for dance, inspires the next jam, "Machine Damhsa", a fast paced 4/4 beckoning to do so. The track's breath catching breakdown gives a moment of transcendence between it's boundless energy and pulsating drive.

Eluize couldn't resist the lush melodies from Ripples and dives in to turn out a cosmic, 80s touched b boy ready version.

Guillaumes inimitable expertise for intuitive dance patterns made him a well seen suspect on neat labels like Circus Company, Hartchef Discos, Karat, Oslo, Mutek or Vincent Lemieuxs Musique Risquée. Long in the making this EP is the logical continuation of a longtime friendship between Guillaume and the Meander gang. 'Everything in good time' was the slogan on this one and Impossible Rendez-Vous seems to bring together elements that would have, otherwise, been pulled apart by gravity and time. Rich NxT, one of FUSE's core residents, returns for his fourth EP on the FUSE London label. Set for release on X March, the 'Waistline EP' sees him build upon his fine earlier work with another mesmerizing journey through expertly crafted underground sounds.

Title track 'Waistline' is an impressive opener, which stretches over seven glorious dubbed out minutes. The track is characterized by its infectious groove, which rolls along at a steady pace and is complemented by expertly placed distorted sounds and vocal snippets. 'Instate' continues in a similar vein, but this time warm reverb pads shine through darkness of the crisp percussion. With distorted vocal fragments and echoing cowbells added to the equation at just the right moments, the clever arrangement results in a totally engrossing and hypnotic track. 'Daybreak' - is another functional dance-floor weapon, with heavy bass, sharp drums and echoes ringing throughout, these sounds all combine to create a deeper-than-deep eyes closed heads down vibe that is a perfect fit for the FUSE dancefloor.

Rounding off the EP is remix of 'Waistline' under their acclaimed Kilimanjaro project. While the dubby essence of the original remains, the duo instantly stamp their mark on the record through raising the BPM with razor sharp percussion and adding sublime deep bass and warm soaring synths which wash over the punchy beat.

On the 'Waistline EP' Rich demonstrates his considerable production prowess and as expected from one of FUSE's most trusted residents it contains all the elements that one would associate with the much-loved FUSE sound: deep dubby house and techno of the highest order, rich in details and sound. We are so stoked to welcome Melbourne local and our good friend to the imprint with this stinkin' four-tracker, showcasing exactly what makes Escape Artist's sound so special.
'Neurolink' is a temporal transmission with crisp percussion laying out the structure. Fleshed out by luscious pads and that genius warm ride that builds you up 'til the high-hat hits you into a higher state of consciousness. That's until 'Designer Reality' pulls you right out and suspends you into a zonked out dance-floor dream. It's a textural, meditative chugger. The title track, 'Metamorphosis', really is a transformative experience and the more we listen to it, the more we can't believe it. Escape Artist creates, over seven minutes, a tranquil yet driving soundscape and it feels like taking a whooshing meteor ride through the sky, surfing the valley of your dreams. The EP is rounded out by a penetrating acid line, more classy breaks, a lil bit of siren and a sonic meltdown - thanks to 'Techno Emergency'.

Mathias Schaffhäusers vierte Zusammenstellung von Remixen erscheint im März und April 2015 in ungewöhnlich aufwändiger Form, nämlich in vierwöchigem Abstand auf zwei Vinyl-EPs mit jeweils einer zusätzlich beigefügten CD. Die 12-Inches versammeln sinnvollerweise die clubbigeren Stücke, die sich dann auch auf den CDs (teilweise in längeren Original-Versionen) wieder finden und dort von einer Handvoll weiterer, teilweise subtilerer und experimentellerer Tracks flankiert werden. Was summa summarum 17 Stücke macht auf den beiden Album-Teilen.

Viele Tracks sind neu editiert und neu gemastert und stammen aus den letzten drei Jahren. Und da es sich meistens um Remixe von Stücken (leider) weniger bekannter Künstler handelt, die zudem oft auf kleinen Underground- und Nischen-Labeln erschienen, hat das Album einen unverbrauchten und aktuellen Charakter, wirkt weniger wie die typische Remix-Compilation, sondern eher wie ein in sich geschlossenes Künstleralbum. O-Ton Schaffhäuser: - Für mich haben meine RE-'compilations' sowieso den gleichen Stellenwert wie meine Alben, sie liegen mir genauso am Herzen, da mache ich keinen Unterschied.'

The Panorama Bar mix series strikes back for its 7th installment with club veteran and psych- house maestro Andreas Baumecker aka nd_baumecker. A Berlin and Panorama Bar resident since 2004, Baumecker's sets have long been known to heads as a foundational part of the club's identity: deep, unpredictable, funky, bassline-heavy, melodic, and seamless flowing between different rhythms and key-changes. As a producer, Baumecker's studio focus (with Sam Barker in Barker & Baumecker) sits comfortably between pop, dancefloor and spiraling left field electronics; on top of two LPs and numerous EPs on Ostgut Ton, the duo have also remixed the likes of Vessels and shoegazers Ride. But Baumecker honed his musical sensibility not only through DJing and studio work, but also as a buyer for famed Frankfurt record store Delirium (founded by Ata and the late Heiko M/S/O), as well as an in-house booking agent for Berghain / Panorama Bar. This composite identity as a selector, collector, club curator and musician feeds heavily into the diversity of Baumecker's 120-minute vinyl-only mix - including the six exclusive tracks over two 12's. On Panorama Bar 07 Part II, Ross From Friends' 'High Energy' delivers from the get-go via driving saturated drums and heady, lo-fi atmospherics, followed by Dave Aju's lush electronic tropicalia 'Wayahed'. The final track belongs to Dutch duo Duplex, who deliver big with 'Isolator', propelled forward by unpredictable claps, snares, open hats and multiple melody lines in a deceptively complex arrangement - made to sound easy. Italian duo Howl Ensemble team up with Turquoise Blue to release four infectious cuts entitled ‘Be Punk As Fuck’ EP.

Italy’s Howl Ensemble – made up of Giovanni Verrina and Germano Ventura enrich a deep, effervescent production style concentrated on the freedom of expression and creativity. In addition to releasing music on Tour Records, Nilla and Infuse, the pair established their Howl Records imprint that embodies a philosophy of releasing dancefloor focused music contributed to by the likes of Dana Ruh, Bassa Clan, 100 Hz and more. Howl Ensemble’s ‘Be Punk As Fuck’ EP sees the duo join the Turquoise Blue family following the likes of DJ Jes, Dan Curtin, Phonogenic and Ekkohaus to name a few.

‘In An Age Of Cruelty’ begins proceedings with alleviating melodies, low-slung bass chords and raw, shuffling percussion before ‘Kindness’ deploys dynamic synth sweeps, rolling low-frequencies and effervescent rhythms maintaining a consistent energy throughout.
