His latest release I KNOW from Elypsia Records is a quintet of Detroit inspired remixes of the song 'I Know'. Inspired by Kevin Saunderson, his original TECHNO MIX (7:06) is a hardcore and high energy track with intensity to match the wildest of crowds. The EP also contains 3 remixes of the track, each exposing and accentuating the brilliant aspects of his complex tune. It begins with the LUCIEN FOORT REMIX (6:41), a lively big room hit with a punch fit for an epic Saturday night. For Orlando Voorn, making music is more than a way of life, it's a necessity. Peverelist does Peverelist on his 3rd album of Bristolian bass techno prisms, Tessellations, his first for the Livity Sound label, forming a typically stripped, acute treatise on the flux of dub, techno, D&B and ambient electronics that make up his soundsystem DNA.

Rooted in the '90s but curved and toned for 2017, Pev's sound is economically functional but not without a crucial sliver of emotive, sensual/textural pressure that bleeds thru in each cut. It's hardly hands-in-the-air material, yet his slow-burning vibes are arguably more satisfying and subtly impressive in the immediacy of the dance and for the long run.

Across a neatly plotted 48 minutes he systematically investigates and consolidates all stripes of the Peverelist sound in a way that builds on the experiments of 12000 Seconds (2014) whilst reprising and refining the heft of Jarvik Mindstate (2009).

The roiling modular tones of opener Burning Seas offers a rare, beat-less iteration of his sound before the session properly gets under way, vacillating the pressure between Under Clearing Skies dense electro-bass pulses and strobing dub chords, and the wide open lushness of Still Early, then twisting into the latinate shimmy of Sheer Chance Matters and the spiralling trills of Wireframes, which sounds almost like Plastikman meets Unique 3.

Further Inland brings a lot of originality and feeling with a misty-eyed mesh of airy Detroit/Berlin arpeggios and serpentine house swang, cooling down into the tribalism patterns of Brinks and Limits and closing on another rare, beat-less vision, Plateau from which to survey his rolling topography and then dive back in again.

Some quality techno on this new label from Paris including a beauty of a rmx by Conforce!. For this first vinyl only EP, Shlomo, one of the label's owner arrives with two original tracks with a deep atmosphere crossing classic techno drums. The other side presents two remix, on from the Edinburgh's techno master Stephen Brown with a fine old school reshaping. Next comes The Conforce's remodel which will talk to all ambient and minimalistic techno, 100% as we love his sound. Beautiful contracts between the liquid beauty and massive force of techno. Midland's Graded sub-label returns with a four-track various artists EP spanning techno, minimal and deep house. Otik's contribution, on the other hand, skews towards UK bass.

2019 is shaping up to be a great year yet with more of the same focus on championing new and emerging artists; alongside the more established. But before all that..

Belfast is the first port of call as DJ and producer Jordan delivers a variety of party thumpers. With thanks to AVA festival and the invincible Bicep going from strength to strength; the Belfast scene is enjoying a moment with the likes of Bobby Analog, Cromby and Hammer all breaking through to greater recognition. Jordan has equally been keeping busy between releases on Abandon Silence and launching his own edits label through Lobster Theremin..

So the stars are aligning for this release, which typifies what the label is about. Each track could easily be the 'A1' and it's already been doing the damage with the likes of Tim Sweeney, Erol Alkan and a select few, until now.. Expect to hear much more from each over the year ahead.

DJ Deep's Deeply Rooted label once again spotlights rising French talent Marina Trench for the second instalment of 'Signature featuring remixes from the boss and Hugo LX. Arriving on Deeply Rooted in March with the slick sounding 'Signature EP1', since then Trench has debuted at Rex Club where she played alongside Kerri Chandler, further bolstering her rising reputation as one of the Parisian scene's most exciting names. She now returns to Deeply Rooted bringing another instalment of classy House music - perfectly suited to the respected label's aesthetic. She shows off her knack for jazzy keys on the lively, raw-edged 'Thema Urbain' which oozes late night soul and effortlessly intimate house vibes. The equally excellent 'Ahead' is a surging house cut with well-crafted synth stabs fleshing out an off balance groove while a twanging bass riffs props things up from below. It's perfectly propulsive but has a real sense of heart. The third sublime original is 'Navigo', a bottomless track with splashy hi hats and suggestive string stabs up top. A rasping bassline brings texture to the smooth grooves as they keep rushing over you to make this another fresh and original offering from Trench. Remixing 'Ahead' is Hugo LX, who cruises from downtempo beats to soulful electronic sounds on the likes of Balance and NDATL Muzik. His classy version is a dubbed out classic with a musical bassline tumbling down the scales as you're sunk ever deeper into his pillowy pads. Deep himself then steps up to flip 'Navigo' into a driving deep techno number that surges on soaring synth smears and prickly percussion. This EP is set to take Trench to the next level and confirms she is one of 2019's brightest new stars.

FJAAK are new to 50WEAPONS and they already have had a killer start. It is said that they actually sleep/live in their studio and one can easily imagin them listening to bassdrum samples for breakfast. Their rough techno tracks are driven by a fast and furious energy, that is pulsing with love for its genre.

The A side is ruled by the outstandingly well carved noises of the Kick drum's reverb, brilliantly timed breaks and a windy flute pad that pairs perfectly with the distorted snare drum. A knack for expertly distorted drum sounds is one of FJAAK's most distinctive features.

The B side explores the quest for finest distorted kick drum. - The Wind' pairs it with delayed synths and a noise-come-percussion heading into deeper territories while - Curious' on B2 sets a darker vibe with growling bass drones that sting like metallic insects and infect you with dancemania.

Archie Hamilton’s Moscow Records invites Mennie for his first solo release of 2019, featuring two spacey cuts in the form of ‘Proxima’.

Joining Moscow Records following releases on Poker Flat, Infuse and Rawax, Mennie is a regular DJ at Florence’s Tenax Club when not performing across Europe including appearances in the UK, France, Germany and Spain. Alongside Julien Sandre, the Italian producer is also one half of Jarau and together they’ve released on labels like One Records, Visionquest and Pleasure Zone.

Kicking things off, ‘Proxima’ injects acid squelches into an atmospheric background which builds to include a wonky bassline laced with echoing distorted vocals. Flip over and ‘Do That’ utilizes a similar otherworldly aesthetic, with metallic effects, electronic bleeps and rattling drum patterns, all guided by a funk infused bass.

Project Runaway brings together two of Tel Aviv's new breed of talented DJ / producers in a meeting of tripped out, expansive, psychedelic, club music. Landing on Especial to expand horizons is Met, their debut EP of deep, percussive dubs for late night tribes. A name on many leftfield lips, Alek Lee's journey continues following two acclaimed solo releases for the wonderful Antinote crew and new project, Shame On Us (alongside Naduve and Yovav Arzi) for that brightest star, Hivern Discs. Teaming up with the sound production skills of Stephan Bazbaz they create Project Runaway. Holding down his own citywide residencies, Bazbaz has developed a studio mastery of minimal dub, crispy house and trippy techno via a growing stream releases on numerous labels, as well as setting up his own No Wave records in 2016. After their welcoming, simple, yet wall quacking remix of Persian (EES031), Met, or 'dead' in Hebrew, bring their strands together as one sound. In original form, a vibrating drum takes on bass backbone is broadened with tight layers of percussion overtones and warped vocal interplay. Lee's psychedelic imaginings are a perfect fit across Bazbaz's wide production expanse, before horns raise the heat to extreme. For deeper DJs and big system dwellers, Met (Dub) does as it should, stripping away and opening wide. Hand percussion and vox ride the channels, coming in and out of the mix, while dub stabs transfix and could run for days. A meeting of minds, drums, psychedelics and pure club love.

For the fifth EP on VL Recordings, Hector presents Romanian DJ/ Producer, Mahony.

Mahony is best known for being at the helm of the Romanian techno scene as the chief booker for Sunwaves Festival, and Kristal Club where he had his first brush with the electronic music scene as a young and aspiring DJ producer.

It all started for Mahony as a resident of Kudos Beach Club in Mamaia the home of Romania's most beloved underground festival, Sunwaves. With a season full of great gigs behind him, word spread over to Kristal Club and they soon snapped him up as a resident and he finally got to share the decks with the great artists he admired in the club when he cut his teeth on the party scene

Fast-forward to 2016 and Mahony is not only is he continuing to put Kristal Club and Sunwaves on the map, he is touring worldwide with Hector and his Vatos Locos crew playing for events at BPM, Sonar, and Club Der Visionaere Berlin, as well as gigs in New York, Montreal, Argentina, Dubai and Paris.

For his contribution to VL Recordings, Mahony serves up three tracks that pay homage to his Romanian roots. On the remix duties he has called on two masters of their craft, Livio & Roby and Guti who both make their VL Recordings debut.

Introducing a new label and musical direction for Lee Renacre from 100Hz with, PUSHER. His aim is to push the boundaries of electronic music by using different time signatures and poly rhythmic patterns, and by not using 4/4 patterns and the standard hat clap beats it’s possible to create a different style of mood and dancing which is deep loose and skippy. Pusher has a bold new Techno sound and also a gentle side with tracks of deep emotive strings and melody’s.

This Series of tracks is called Drug Music, a stripped down funky style with unusual beat patterns and poly rhythmic elements best enjoyed and fully understood when in an euphoric state, always recorded from a live studio jam where Lee’s improvised sounds come to life with some unexpected results. Lee also collaborates with artist and good friends for some extra depth and to mix up this unique style of electronica.

The first of the Pusher EP’s is a thumping minimal and full on affair with infectious killer acid riffs in odd time signatures. Crisp funky modulating hats monster bass lines and dramatic interplanetary sounds with live tweaks, twists and turns. Also some seriously deep and intense music is coming from this live jam situation with a thrilling string track to round off the Pusher experience.

Since launching back in 2017, London label NorthSouth Records has released a quartet of EPs showcasing tracks from the likes of Christian Jay, Bilal, Rob Amboule and Henry Hyde. Here they return for the first time in 2019 with another action-packed, multi-artist extravaganza. Voigtmann kicks things off via the deep space chords, funky electronic motifs and intergalactic tech-house grooves of "Separation Attitude", before The PGA offers up a bass-heavy peak-time roller rich in retro-futurist riffs, watery electronics and crispy drums. Label regular Chris Geschwindner opens up side B with an attractive blend of two-step garage grooves and spacey tech-house melodies, while Henry Hyde delivers the synth-bass-propelled, electro fired melodiousness of "Hello Spcshp".

DJ Pierre’s legendary Jack Trax Records returns with a delicious set of raw acid tracks from Finnish producer Type-303, who made his 12” wax debut on Posthuman’s I Love Acid imprint, with a release on Lobster-distributed ProForm this past fall.

“What is the Time?” kicks things off with a jacking beat reminiscent of the classic Chicago acid house sound, answering the question with “it’s time to jack”.

Next up is “Sound of Future”, alluding to Phuture’s classic “Acid Track” with a tough, driven beat and acid line that builds up to a psychedelic frenzy of claps, snares, and rides.

The title track, “Ghost in the 303”, follows suit with more of Type-303’s punchy percussion, interjected by moments of frenzied 16th claps, paired with an eerie, otherworldly pad taking the listener deep into the soul of the machine, the classic TB-303.

Last is “Control”—filled with dreamy yet slightly dissonant pads and a wispy breakbeat-inspired snare line that provides a deep, introspective conclusion to this acid laced journey.

Pedro Goya continues his personal series with this gem from his and Magazino(previously Del Costa) back from 2003.

Bristol stalwarts October & Borai join forces once again for their second outing on Happy Skull. The pair join the dots between sleazy EBM and rugged, hardcore atmospherics.

Lead track 'Fatal Rumba' is a titanium plated slab of latin funk for freakier, late night dance floors. On the B-Side 'Swipe Left' drops the tempo but turns the pressure up to boiling point, a chugging drum machine workout complete with pulsating 303's and dub techno chords. To round things off, Conch bosses Bash & T give 'Swipe Left' the full UK treatment, flipping it to a mutant funky roller.

Welcome back Nick Curly on 8Bit Records. With his "Zero Love EP he delivers a strong two tracker. First track Zero Love shows his talent to seamlessly combine melodies, while staying hypnotic, groovy and powerful. With - Blashkiboo he is rounding things deep off, for some late night underground action.

Long time unsung UK techno artist Aubrey is to release Gravitational Lensing, a first artist album since 2001 and his third in all. It lands in early 2019 on Out-ER and across 12 tracks it finds him getting more personal and instinctive than ever before with jazz, techno, broken beat and house all colouring this most coherent of musical adventures.
Aubrey s discography dates back to the early nineties, when he was a key part of the UK scene on labels like Solid Groove, Textures and Mosaic. Up there with the greats from Chicago and Detroit, he has turned out a steady stream of music that marries perfect dance floor functionality with real musical invention. Always inspired by anything deep with a good groove, everything from synth band Japan to funk king George Clinton, electro break beats to Jean Michel Jarre all inform his work.

As a DJ, he cut his teeth playing the biggest raves in the UK with names like Carl Cox and Eddie C having been swept up by the acid house records that hit English stores when he was just 15. Add in a love of jazz, ambient and US house, and you have all the eclectic influences that this criminally under-the-radar artist has drawn on for his latest album.

It is one that finds him really put his personal stamp on his sound. It s a chance to be more who you are and what you feel without pressure to conform to a particular sound, it s a chance to be free, says the artist of the album process. It was partially produced at Out-ER s studio in Nard , Lecce over the course of a year s worth of studio jam sessions, and is his finest and most cinematic work to date.

Things kick off with the ambient synth modulations of Aerglo Visible before exquisitely loose jazz drums and sci-fi pads suspend you in the cosmos on Floating to Rigel. There is an experimental feel to the off grid drums, rippling chords and drunken keys of Doctor Portia that keeps you brilliantly off balance, and the first deep techno trip is Journey To the Blue Planet , which has gorgeous ambience swirling over rolling, dubby kicks and soulful Detroit synth work. Carrying on through more lush, musical synth work and inventive drums, there are moments of heads down dance floor power and hi-tech soul, serene techno landscaping and chord-laced deep house that is superbly cerebral throughout the album.

In all, it makes for a complete and storytelling record that draws on a rich variety of genres and reworks them into something deep, multi-layered and hugely emotional that works as well in headphones, at home, as it will in the club.

It must be honest and has to odd pictures in the heads. DOMPE succeeded that in a perfect way. At the beginning of May, he will release his latest album named HIPPIE CRACK on his own Label JACKRUIT RECORDINGS.

HIPPIE CRACK – music is our drug – it makes us happy and gives us the chance to flee from the gray and ordinary daily routine. These 12 Tracks are highly addictively. Close your eyes, dance and time can be forgotten. Back to the roots – back to good old house music tunes, simple but not easy produced. The DOMPE Style has not to be described on more details; Again, and again full of different facets. So, what awaits you on the second edition of a compilation that claims in a winking to present 'ambient race car music' Exactly what it says on the tin. A fresh and exclusive collection of music that hopefully sounds as great in a car as it will in the comfort zone of your own living-room or during dusk and dawn in your favorite club environment (see Bicep and Fort Romeau for further reference). But first and foremost it is truly inspired by many trips on the Autobahn between Frankfurt and Heidelberg. Going to and fro from one club to the other, was the way to spend countless hours of adolescence in excitement instead of tedious purposelessness. But I will not bother you with droll stories of my youth.

Musik for Autobahns 2 is the result of a collective effort by dear friends and esteemed colleagues who picked up where the first one ended, while paying attention to the prevailing theme. From Leon Vynehall and his profound research of the BAB 5 to Joy Orbison's 'A 213' or Lauer's heartfelt and wry Kraftwerk pastiche, all of the tracks have a certain compatibility in common or just sound great, while having a drive. 'Breaking' by AKSK for instance made the stop-and-go traffic in the blazing heat of Los Angeles so much more bearable (the vintage Volvo helped as well). Also, you will meet freshmen like Orson Wells, whose idea of traveling exceeds the boundaries of our planet, next to a grey eminence like Orlando Voorn (on the compact disc edition of this at least) or elusive characters like Disco Nihilist. All bringing their special skills and imagination to the table.

Newcastle via London label Jaunt Records revisits its 10 year anniversary EP from 2017 with a series of great remixes by Inland, Jonas Kopp, Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff and Stojche. This is the first of two EPs planned, and it offers up a timeless mix of heady techno and slick electro.
Berlin based Brit Inland tackles Jaunt resident Blackhall & Bookless's 'Spirit' and serves up a heavyweight wedge of warehouse techno. On the same side, Jonas Kopp flips 'Itria' into a sci-fi tinged bit of dub techno and long time studio partners Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff from Indigo Aera offer widescreen synth work and blissed out pads all tethered to rolling and rubbery drums. Stojche's take on Gian's track is a fantastically crisp and futurist piece of electro that will get anyone on their toes. This is a classy EP that showcases the sort of sounds you will hear on any Jaunt dance floor.

Who is Boelja? Who is Sebastian Mullaert? Who are they really? Are they the finite body and a collection of thoughts? And who are you? Are you your memories or perhaps your projections of the future? Or are you this present moment?

What is silence? Is it solely the absence of sound? Or are all sounds springing out of silence and falls back into the same? And what is sound without context? Is it just nonsense? Or is there something more universal to it?

Did someone make this music or did the music just happen? Where does the process of creation start? Where does it end? And who is the listener? How does the listener affect the music? Is there really any separation between the creator, listener and the music? Are they all one and the same?

What is next? Where is all this going?Is there an end? Or are your actions just another event happening in this never-ending stream of consciousness? And to whom is it happening?

The third release in line of the two producers own imprint 10YEARS. On one side each, we find stripped down rolling Scandinavian machine music, released on 250 hand stamped vinyls.

Just under a year after their last big impression on Rekids, Private Press are
back with four more of their brilliant big room techno cuts.

This Polish pair hail from Warsaw and are focused on producing high energy and
dubbed out techno. Already this year they have released on the Ziema label and
had a strong 2018 two EPs on the highly regarded Indigo Area. Their powerful
sound is a perfect fit with the no frills Rekids label and these four tracks all do
plenty of damage.

Opener ‘Traces to Nowhere’ is an impossibly bristling track with razor sharp synth
stabs and jostling drums that are redolent of the masterful Shed. Part old school,
part a vision of the future, it is impeccably produced.

‘Paper Clip’ is a haunting, high speed dub techno trip with eerie chords and sound
design that keep you on edge, and ‘Wet Moon’ is a broken beat masterclass with
sirens, tense breakdowns and icy hi hat ringlets that is archetypal club weaponry.
Last but not least, the warm, atmospheric and unrelenting banger that is ‘The
Struggle’ sweeps you up and carries you away on a classy techno vibe and rolling
drums that you could listen to for days.

This is a devastating EP of high impact, high quality techno.

Libertine Industries is the new output dedicated to new talent and Libertine resident djs... Sbri is in charge of the first release with an outstanding double EP.

Joining the WCF imprint with his 'Distorted Time EP', the Manchester based Transcode brings his driving sound to Egg LDN's in-house label to showcase his versatile approach to production. 

With the vinyl press being released at the beginning of November, followed by the digital version, which includes the bonus track 'Backlash', due out on 14th December, the EP includes two remixes by the club's close friends Secret Cinema and OC & Verde. 

'Timewarp' opens up the release, immediately setting a tripped out tone with its distorted vocals and a slightly menacing melody, which bubbles under the surface throughout the track. 

'Rotation' is a slightly darker and dubber production complemented by crisp hi-hats and well-rounded drums. It is a perfect intro to building up an extended set. 

Secret Cinema leaves his stamp on 'Timewarp' with an ominous Remix of Transcode's Original. Again, it fits into the shady feel of the EP but the Dutch producer brings an enchanting feel to the track, with a twinkling melody laced throughout. 

Manchester based OC & Verde bring their stamp to the release with their remix of 'Rotation'. Using a blend of drawn-out synths to build up a powerful lead, packed with raw percussions, it certainly shows the sonic direction the duo has been working on over the last year. 

Completing the digital edition with a bonus track, Transcode rounds off the EP with 'Backlash'. A punchy and unrelenting track, it's a peak time tune which is one of those tracks for a heaving dance floor to relish in what the Mancunian producer is all about. 

One of the most sought after latin american labels, Savor Music, is back with a triple compilation called Unami.

This release gathered many interesting artists from all around the world who together deliver a colourful sound palette.

The third vinyl slab starts with a mega minimal-house jacking bomb by Martinez... groovy, sexy and full of swinging drums. Jorge Savoretti's has a sick boogie bassline counterbalanced with ethereal atmospheres, an essential track for any modern dancefloor. On the last side of this triple pack we have Mariano, who managed to balance elastic percussions, hypnotic melodies and of course, a killer funky bass. B2 is a mega space bomb by the talented Guti, who this time joined forces with Livio & Roby. Together they've built a super spatial driving track with a subby bassline that will blow any sound system.

Once upon a time, the footjob crew moved into a new studio space in their hometown Darmstadt. This location was previously used by a religious community that found its purpose in the worship of Shiloh. Our latest release on what Came First has been produced by Italy's newest export, Knowhat, who has delivered two original works blended with shades of uplifting house and tech house rhythms.

The original track 'Feel it' is a high-spirited, house-infused creation with soulful vocals and punchy drums, showcasing the artist's ability to shy away from the driving tech house sound he's usually known for.

'Make My Body Groove' is a sultry, alluring piece with infectious, groove-tinged percussion. Suitable to captivate any dancefloor worth its salt from the beginning to end.

Frankfurt based producer Basti Grub is also featured on the EP, re-working the title track. Having touched it down with a minimal techno bass-line, Grub has artfully kept the male vocal hook rolling throughout the mix.

We're delighted to share this record from the Moscow-based recording artist OL aka Oleg Buyanov. His most recent work, the double LP "Height Difference" on the seminal Gost Zvuk label, saw him transmit his research in soviet sound heritage into a range of genres and tempos. On "Dismeteo", we see him inhabit a similar atmosphere, refracted through a different lens of influence. In Buyanov's own words, "The tracks are like concrete blocks & buildings lost in the woods. It's a point where correct geometry and mathematical constructions meet with organic forms.

Northern star Denney returns to Hot Creations with his West Coast Revival EP - a
full power nod to the early days of his career, inviting Liverpool’s latest export
Melé and Denver tech-house pioneer Hipp-e to provide the remixes.

Club Bad founder Melé makes his first appearance on the label with his remix.
Heavy on the percussion, he creates a tribal ambience with a deep and driving
bass that pushes it into peaktime party territory. With almost three decades in the
business, Hipp-e is widely regarded as being one of the pioneers of the West
Coast scene. He co-founded H-Foundation, which held a residency at fabric for
eight years. His version steers the track into darker territory, creating an insatiable
late-night aesthetic.

2018 was a huge year for James Denney, aka Denney. He produced a slew of
releases for top imprints including Saved Records, Relief, Knee Deep In Sound,
Moon Harbour and Pete Tong’s FFRR. His skills as a DJ have seen him tour
globally taking in Brazil, Argentina and Australia as well as Europe and North
America, where he held down a residency at Miami’s infamous Heart. He has also
been a regular figure in Ibiza at DC10 and Amnesia. In 2019, Denney’s pace
shows no sign of slipping with plenty of releases in the pipeline as well as plans to
launch a series of events in his hometown of Middlesborough and his own label.

iggatunez debuts on Times are Ruff and splits a 12inch with the label owners. Both share a Berlin connection through their studios located in the same building, something unknown at the time the first contact was made. Unsurprisingly that became the theme for this joint effort of music. Both sides contain serious dancefloor intended tracks, in signature style of the label, where beats and groove take the lead, but keeping the soul.

Brazilian label Not For Us has really hit its stride of late, with original from Davis and remixes by L_Cio and label bosses, Rods Novaes and Wender A., marking them out as ones to watch in 2014. to the techno edge with his track Desiccant'. You will dive into a world of synthetic drones, surf on rough clap sounds and get enchanted by electronic structures. The track is made of an overwhelming deep atmosphere. Goodbye My Hero' demonstrates Alvise Torrisi's abilities for producing tracks with
long intros, thoughtful synth pattern and increasing dynamic. Especially, the melody is a breath-taking beauty of music... definitely another anthem for the summer. David Di Sabato's Never Night On The Moon' is much more reduced in sounds compared to the other tracks of this release, which induced a
fine balance of trippy atmospherical rhythmics, raw dancefloor energy and sound design. W004LTD bridges the gap between state-of-the-art techno, melodic techno and tech house. We can't wait for playing this record.

The lifespan for humans is estimated at less then 100 years in this dimension. Due to this limitation, they seem to lack patience trying to attain their goals in this world. I’m sure that this is the case for most humans in particular, but the focus in this mission statement will be based on the Electronic Music Scene.

From the first arrival to this world and watching the current state of electronic music unfold, things seem a bit stagnant. There seems to be a drastic influx of so-called artist/ producers that are trying to influence the genre and the passive aggressive assault on what the pioneers have created. Until these souls truly study the art of music production, their track releases should be frowned upon. Their foundation should be to learn how this sound was created and how they can contribute to it moving forward.

Why not study to be a techno historian, it’ll only be a benefit. If you don’t understand the past, then there is no real future. Life-forms in this dimension need to understand the past to change the future, otherwise we’ll make the same mistakes over and over and time after time nothing will ever evolve. These words do not speak for Eqwel, however my feeling is that Eqwel has been spawned to contribute quality music to this genre for the indefnite future.

The mass understanding of Techno is the main goal for Eqwel, because if you truly understand this music, you’ll be mentally teleported to another state of mind. This audio telemetry is the answer to get lost inside the relentless nature of the low end frequencies, that is filled with percussions of high intensity. It’s been over well over a year since Eqwel has been contributing to the electronic music scene on a deeper underground level, so it’ll take some time before the earthlings are ready to be introduced to some new ideas. This society has been programmed to only like what they are told to by massive advertisements, with such vast dimensions why listen to these commercial programmers.

Having collaborated over the years in several projects, Endless Illusion and brokntoys join forces for a trilogy of EPs to showcase unique talent across the globe. Kutchie Dub was one of the UK techno legend first productions after the big come back he had on Sushitech. A bold dub house groover and shall we say... timeless. After a gap of a few years in between his latest releases (on Terminal M among others) Mar io focuses his attention on his own productions rather than sticking to remixes. New York native David Berrie makes a welcome return to the Hot Creations fold this April. The latest recruit to join as a resident for Jamie Jones' Paradise night in Ibiza, Berrie gifts us with three heavy hitting tracks, sure to set dance floors alight across the globe.

Airplane To Madrid opens the EP with its steady groove and funk elements, underpinned by a tribal drum and old school vocal hook that culminate in a jazz influenced breakdown. On Talkin' Bout, Berrie utilises a fast-paced beat and bouncy, ghetto-house style vocals that lead into another intriguing breakdown. Closing the EP, the bassline of Acid Souls gurgles beneath the female vocal building to an insatiable drop before plummeting back into the heady bass.

Raised in the musical melting pot of New York, David Berrie draws influence from a variety of genres to create his signature style. He's released on a number of prominent labels including Cuttin' Headz, Play It Say It and Hot Creations. Last year's collaboration with Jamie Jones broke into the Top 5 in the Beatport charts and his music has been supported by some of the industry's biggest names such as Carl Cox, Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers and Seth Troxler. 2019 is set to be a big one for Berrie, with a residency for Paradise at DC10 and fresh music due to be released.

For the latest 12" on his self-titled label, Malin Genie teams up with Swedish producer Per Hammar for a sturdy four-tracker that shows off the duo's knack for crafty, rolling house music. "Lijnbaan Dubb" has a full spread of rich synthetics propelling it forward through a subtly dubbed landscape of nocturnal atmospherics, while "Fosie" needles in on crooked sound design for a playful, minimal trip-out. "Scania" has a more rattling, techno-minded framework to carry liquid shimmers of chords, and then Samuel Andre Madson comes on board for a remix that injects a little old-skool Chicago romanticism into "Scania."

Blurring the lines between reality and dreams is a theme that Degray sees as commonplace in his music. The ethereal and misty sense of a fantastical dream-world is conjured throughout all of his releases, blending mysterious ambience with entrancing beats for his individual sound. The four-track 'End Paradox' EP marks his sixth on his Parse Audio label, following up from acclaimed releases such as 'Dimensions' and 'Origins Pt. 1', which saw tracks get airplay from DJs such as Jamie Stevens, Joe Miller and techno trailblazer Enrico Sanguiliano in his mix for BBC Radio 1. While for now this Barcelona-based producer has stayed enigmatic, he is pushing his way to the forefront of techno with his new hard-hitting live sets, his up-and-coming record imprint, and his recognisable signature style of production. Successfully treading the fine line between floating, emotional ambience and attention-grabbing techno beats is a tall order for most, but Degray treads it perfectly, resulting in a release that is as unavoidably compelling as it is thoughtful.
