Here it is finally Tone Dropout Vol 7. This is a anglo/french,italian/oz extravaganza, A TDO meets LHT Banger.

This edition features four, yes FOUR new members to our family, ON side A we welcome fresh new talent in the guis of Daif , real name Antonin Hifda, hails from France and is the head honcho at the great Luminaere Records, Dj's all over and has had releases on many labels,an amazing talent who we look forward to working with more. Ascot/WW, real name Matteo Pasini , comes from Milan Italy, and has played clubs such as Plastic,Rocket and the Dude Club. He has had releases on Ciao Records, and definitely a great addition to the Tone dropout family, and of course our main man Dawl , who needs no introduction,contributes to make up the TDO side.

Then side B , we welcome Alphonse and Jamie Blanco from LHT as well as many other fine labels. Alphonse, whose real name i am not allowed to tell you, has had releases aon several labels including hypercolour and class wrecks and dj's all over the world, currently been doing some gigs with sween - head honcho of Tone DropOut Records, at Houghton festival and in Croatia in 2019 and host parties called Dream Therapy, in London. Another great addition to our family. Then we have Jamie Blanco another real talent, who has been on the scene a long time with multiple releases and several guises with other labels and partners. Living in Melbourne, Australia at present, which shows how our sound has stretched across the world .

Track 1 - DAWL - Nebulon - Dawl kicks off this E.P with a Bleep tactic , bass driven break beat banger. typical dawl style now, that we all love and has made him such a star, at Tone Dropout Records.After the bleeps dawl adds some stabby warehouse synths , then kicks the driving bass back in with the breaks and bleeps, and a cheeky little sample from some obscure cartoon. not to be named ha ha . A real banger , in dawl tradition.

Track 2 - Daif - Soberman - then goes our first top gun, Daif comes at ya with a mesmerising bass line that sets the tone for this dance floor filler. Then come the bleeps and the strings in and out , highlighted by a soaring break beat ,and fat basslines . this man is hot talent , watch out .

Track 3 - Ascot/WW - Fifa98 - Here we go top gun number two, our new secret weapon Ascot/WW, offers ya a breakbeat and old rave synth , before breaking down with a rewind into a detroit bassline and haunting strings and bleeps, a real journey, and very cleverly produced another dance floor filler, and a man to watch out for.

Track 1 - Alphonse - Direct Transient - Alphonse kicks off with the sounds of the rain forsest , quickly backed up by a soaring james brown sampled break beat a real stomper, and some sweet strings, before banging into an amazing acid line with james brown stab rolling through.Ever changing ,with a great breakdown, really showing off his production skills.

A real rolla, with amazing beats and an acid line to kill for ha ha . Great work from this established talent.

Track 2 - Jamie Blanco - Acid Damage - Here the one and only Jamie Blanco gives us a straight up no messing in ya face acid banger. What more can i say, wicked 909 beats , big bass line and of course the acid going in and out up and down, ever changing and moving ,handclaps the lot, soaring high hats and snares , here we go .ACIEEEEEEEEED.

Track 3 - Bonus Tones Breaks 3 - Tones Breaks 3 carries on our new tradition of a little 3 min track on each ep, lots of samples and fun.

Tones 3 , kicks off with lots of scratching and a fierce break beat , and 'GO' sample , before changing with a bubbling bassline, and ripping break beat , then the inevitable bleeps and four four over breaks , this 3 mins of pure break beat chaos, just how we love it .

RETZA returns to the LO-FI-45 fold with Eta Carinae / Polar', the first of the label's catalogue to be released on vinyl. A fitting title, as this young talent's star is certainly shining brightly- RETZA is hot off the heels of collaborations with France's YOKOO on KINDISCH & ALL DAY I DREAM.

Eta Carinae / Polar' is a stunning addition to RETZA's solo discography. Showcasing his intrinsic knowledge of and feel for the art of musical composition, RETZA's intricately constructed soundscapes and authentic instrumental cutaways induce a sense of warmth and familiarity.

RETZA's electronic fingers cascade delicately in Eta Carinae' through piano notes, that enter almost immediately and remain, defining this deep house groove. The journey feels incredibly fresh, like a new resolution after intense period of thought.

Polar's' thick bassline slides around its low sub frequency range framing a variety of hand cut sample slices, carefully selected and cured from the finest audio delicatessen in all the land. Merging seamlessly together, they create a movement that's both dark and surprisingly funky at the same time.

Remixes for Eta Carinae' come from none other than Seattle's PEZZNER, whose 90's indie-electronic milieu is stylistically apposite here. The mix is dynamically diverse, presenting each of the charming elements of the original with revised scrutiny, forming a new persona and climate for the piece to thrive. Melbourne's MATT WATERS rounds out the package with distinctive panache in his truly outstanding tech-house cut.

BT33 drags back Marco Bernardi for his 3rd solo EP on brokntoys.Plat + Form P.F. finds Marco run ragged through time, revisiting his sleeper-project Octogen's lost 3rd (!) album alongside his latest productions Cruising the dystopia, the EP moves through unnerving melodies hung against stuttering rhythms.

Following releases from Trevor Jackson and Jack Latham (Jam City), this new 12" on Utter features a rare alternate 'Dry' version of legendary Post-Industrial/Ambient group O Yuki Conjugate's 'Insect-Talk' from their 1995 album 'Equator' alongside contemporary versions by Tolouse Low Trax (Salon Des Amateurs), Howes (Cong Burn / NTS Radio) and OYC themselves. The record includes an insert illustrated by Andrew Hulme (OYC) and each outer sleeve is hand-stamped with insects in various formations.

Enzo Siragusa adds fuel to FUSE's milestone 10-year anniversary with the release of a metamorphic album that draws influence from the London institution's cultivated sound, as well as the capitals '90s rave heritage that so heavily influenced their decade-long dominance.

On A Decade of Rave, Enzo presents a cross section of his sound - one that has refined this fusion of jungle roots with house, creating eight straight-talking dance floor cuts that capture the essence of FUSE raves over the years, and two ambient tracks that lean on lengthy quests behind the decks. The music spans across two years of studio sessions and exhibits Enzo and the FUSE label's biggest work to date.

Starting with 'Beautiful Emi', then shifting through 'Stromboli', 'Mixed Emotions' and 'Paradigm Shift' all geared in their own way towards the many faces of house music.

'Voodoo', 'Deeper Inside', 'Rollin' Riddim' and closing track 'Mysterious' see Enzo tap into Jungle, '90s hardcore and speed garage becoming clear they were made with the early days of FUSE at 93 Feet East in mind. Big basslines and big breakdowns are the common denominator with the intricate minimal twists that so often characterise FUSE's sound.

LoveHrtz bounce back onto Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two label with a bumper release, brining together two original tracks and remixes from Chicago house don, K’Alexi Shelby, and rising star, Seb Zito.

‘Crazy About Your Love’ is a euphoric and hyperactive house track; a Marshall Jefferson-esque piano riff hammers over a pacey groove and classic strings augment the sense of drama in this dramatic vocal track. Seb Zito (FUSE/Edible) provides two remixes here; ‘Remix 1’ pairs quirky organ stabs and a bubbling acid motif with chopped up vocals, whilst ‘Remix 2’ takes a darker route, reminiscent of Sound Factory era NYC house, with a decidedly dubbier and sleazier take on the original.

In their original mix of ‘Burning Up’, LoveHrtz deliver more top notch, classic house vibes, with a frenetic and bouncing club heater. Relentless bells, a seductive saxophone riff and a roof-raising vocal, a future classic this does make!

House music royalty, in the shape of K’Alexi Shelby, graces Four Thirty Two with his musical presence, remixing ‘Burning Up’ into an everlasting (well, just shy of 10 minutes) slice of pure disco heaven. With a musical curriculum vitae that has contributed to pivotal labels like Trax, DJ International, Djax-Up-Beats, and countless more, K’Alexi sprinkles huge handfuls of feel-good factor over his version of ‘Burning Up’, topping off a huge release package from Four Thirty Two.

For a lucky few DJs, including Jamie Jones, Hot Since82 and Butch, who received the release early, it has been one of the big records of winter and spring. Now with summer around the corner everyone gets to share the love with what is set to be an anthem for the months ahead.

After a short break, OFFPATH continues its quest to bring groovy underground sounds from new and emerging talent. This time label owner Niko Maxen merges the playful sounds of spooky from Litmus with some deeper sounds from Den Haas and Niko himself. 4 solid tracks make up this versatile record that will take its rightful place in many record bags across the world.

MOTHER RECORDINGS launch into 2019 with a dream collaborative release from PAOLO MARTINI and SIMION. Having both released on the imprint previously with solo EPs, as well as a combined back catalogue spanning Repopulate Mars, Emerald City Music and Snatch, the pair come together in fine form blending their rich tech house sounds offering up two slick cuts.

'That Sound' kicks things off with a soulful vocal which glides over a pulsing bass line and rolling tech drums. Flurries of percussive elements add to the infectious groove.

On the flip, 'Hustle Jam' is a genius blend of disco sampling and club focussed house music, filtered horns and guitar grip a hold of you from the first hit, sending you on what is bound to be a dance filled journey.

Morchelle is finally back. Groovy and catchy sounds give birth to an awesome 2 tracks EP by Gerardo & Carlo Santi. Definitely a must-have.

Since Josh Butler secured the crown for 8bit's biggest selling release in 2018 Nick Curly & Gorge couldn't wait any longer for the follow up to his 'Rabbit Hole'. So here we go with 3 new house bombs to celebrate the start of a great year 2019.

Monologue Records strikes back with another danccefloor killer release! Following the widely acclaimed Ep's What State I'm in' by Ryan Crosson (remixed by Guti) and The Fraud' by Yaya & Lorenzo Chiabotti (remixed by Robert Dietz), the next Monologue 'bomb' is signed by one of the hottest italian dj and producer around: Leon. The Music On resident and Marco Carola's 'protege' delivers a masterpiece with 2 hits featuring Ninho ('Ring Around the Rosey' and 'In and Out') embellished with a superb remix by the Moon Arbour 'jeweler' Sable Sheep. A real 'not to miss' release that must have a spot in every serious dj's bag.

This first release is made up of 3 tracks from my friends and 1 from myself. There's no concept here other than putting out music that was otherwise not going to see the light of day. The first track is by Bleaker who put out a 12' on Unknown To The Unknown last year, the second by Miz aka Big Miz who's been putting out music on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, the third by The Burrell Connection who has a release on West End Communications and a track on a Craig Knows released compilation and the last track is from myself which got a play on Big Miz's boiler room set.
These tracks were all sent to me around the same time and it felt right to make a place for them on a record. Bleaker, Miz and The Burrell Connection have all been making waves in Scotland and beyond and these 3 tracks are proof that the attention is warranted. And I don't think my track is too bad either.

The french electronic wizards Jacques & Superpoze made music together. The result is simple: 1 track together and 2 original songs, one by Jacques, one by Superpoze. In their own words: Superpoze and I made music together. We gave birth to an instrumental track. There are no lyrics, but it speaks about time flying, About the feeling of evolving or moving backwards, About repetitive events that don't ever follow the same pattern, About the tragedies that sometimes happen and the fear they would happen again, About discovering enthusiasm, About knowing how to read the future in the past, About being knocked out after holding on to an assumption, About winning a chess game by mistake.

YPY is back with his third full-length album, his second on EM Records, following his 2016 debut Zurhyrethm, and 2020 on Where To Now? YPY is the solo alias of Osaka-based Koshiro Hino, who has honed his rhythmic instincts as leader of the acclaimed Japanese band goat and the sound installation/theatre project GEIST and Virginal Variations. His preoccupation with propulsion is on full display here, across five tracks of varying density and intensity, all thoroughly beat-oriented, with skeins of synthesized and sampled sound stretching to the horizon, rising from a bedrock of minimal drum machine pulses, all lovingly embraced in a cassette-borne sonic fug. The cover image and title hearken back to Hino’s past, with the image obscurely referencing his yesteryear green mohawk, and the title derived from Talking Heads, but this effervescent album, though recorded using cassette technology, is not a sad tale of nostalgia, rather a look at a present/pleasant reality. FireScope welcomes the amazingly talented Russ Gabriel aka Mr Ferox with his debut Firescope EP - The Controller.

The opener and title track 'Controller' twists and turns its bass line to speak to us in tongues. With no kick drum, this one is interlaced with strings and percussion and the melody of a future classic. 'Drimmits' takes over the reins and is a surprising contrast with its pounding kick drum and accompanying bass groove, lush strings and an upbeat happy vibe.

Turning to the B Side 'The Way To Go' leads the way. When label boss Steven Rutter heard Russ jamming with this on a FaceBook Live stream he just had to sign it. Reminiscent of some early Detroit techno, this one uses glorious pads to evolve into and epic track. Leading out we have 'Nova Deep' with a nice retro feel and prominent bass line once again. This joyful uplifting track could have you dancing around or just chilling out with your headphones on.

Finished in blue and white splatter vinyl with exclusive full colour artwork as always.

22 Digit Records are proud to present the second release from their vinyl only off shoot 22 Digit LTD. Pressed up on a limited run of red and black coloured marble vinyl, the release features original music from YokoO along with remixes from Trus'me (Prime Numbers), Clio (Drumcode/Saved) and label boss duo William Welt & Peter Bartram.

YokoO has been involved with 22 Digit since its inception and the label are proud to be welcoming him back for his third release. His last outing on the label was picked up by Jozif and featured as part of his Balance Mix CD released in 2013 and since then the follow up has been highly anticipated.

This is a truly diverse release that crosses the boundary between house and techno with something to suit all moods and tastes in one mammoth package.

Pear's co-founder Fio Fa marks his return with a couple more basement anthems in the form of Dead Money Groove, backed with on-point remixes from pals New Jackson & Fold.

Into The Groove; an all too brief soundcloud favourite given a new lease of life via this 12'. Propulsive & dark, it'll get under your skin at the rave via wicked sampling and vocal voodooism. Local hero New Jackson cracks the shutters on his self described 'highlife house' re-up. A looser more melodic reimagining, where the end results in some manic percussive frenzy reminisce of some Liquid Liquid/MU business.

The toms heavy Dead Money meets us on the flip, a powerful roller licked with a faint dubbed out wistfulness. Fio's bassline work deservedly poised to soundtrack big tent season this summer. Fold strips it all back with his Toastie Re-rub, melting out the lower end to deliciously slippery effect emanating in an up-to-date mutant stomper. Fresh.

For Our First Release We Delved Deep Into The Catalogue Of Legendary 90's Uk Label Plank And Dug Out 3 Of Our Favourite Jams, Remastered For Vinyl From The Original Tapes And Sounding Fresh As Ever!

Third Stream is the new project developed by Alex Font and it is dedicated specially for the real diggers. This record hardly has any promotion in order to preserve the music to those who invest buying the music and dig deeply. No promo pools, no SoundCloud, no Facebook fan page or shit like that. We could call this a true only vinyl record with JUST 150 copies.

It's easy to fall for a nostalgic approach to dance music, to cuddle oneself in the warm analogue sounds of late 1980's dance productions - especially with the heavy ongoing reissue trend going on. However, we have to stay focus: look out for contemporary sounds and means of production. Parisian producer Nathan Melja makes his debut on Antinote with an idiosyncratic three-tracker and our guess is that it sounds contemporary.

On the A-side: one tune: Deadrums. Both the name and the music speak for themselves. It's hard, it's efficient and at the same time, there's quite a lot going on, tiny bumps on the straightforward road to techno ecstasy. Nevertheless, Deadrums is a precise piece of machinery, an atmospheric banger, yes, but with deadly jaws made out of tempered steel to tear a dancefloor apart, piece-by-piece. On the B-side, Angels stands out as a perfect example of a song that has many dancefloor qualities but, like some of DJ Sprinkles' seminal recordings, turns out to be more of a late-night tale of urban wanderings on wet pavements (think Taxi Driver and its soundtrack by Bernard Hermann). Contemplative, melancholic and - let's say it - sad, its nagging melody can bring a little tear to the eyes of the most sensitive ones. Rounding up the 12' is Candy, a tune under the influence of bad boys like DJ Overdose, or Ghettotech legend DJ Assault - so that you can dry your tears.

It's Nathan Melja's first release on Antinote, but he's definitely not a newcomer. He's been around since Antinote exists, and we're glad to finally collaborate with him.

Nothin'', a four-track vinyl only release from the Tuscan imprint.
Marcos Baiano's B.SOUL imprint was launched in 2013 and across its back catalogue has
welcomed an array of classic and contemporary talents onto its roster from House legend Jovonn
through to Music For Freaks co-founder Justin Harris and Parisian producer Terence :Terry. Here
we see the label push on with its second vinyl release set to be released via its Ltd offshoot and
offered up as a various artist four track package.
Bosconi Soundsystem artist Rufus takes the lead on the release with 'Realize Dis' with classic
house tropes, employing a bumpy swinging rhythm as the foundation whilst murky pad swells and
spoken word vocals ebb and flow throughout the composition. Label-head Marcos Baiano follows
with 'Nullll', stripping things back to shuffled hats and wandering rave stabs before the latter stages
introduce a warm ethereal pad.
Opening up the flip side is Retro Activity aka Ivan Iacobucci's 'Rocket' edging things into Techno
territory with weighty drums, mind bending synth flutters and an ever-unfolding, billowing
atmosphere. DRMC's 'Do Not Disturb' then closes the package on a minimal tip with modulating
percussion, minute organic drum shots and airy pad lines laid out over its seven and a half
minutes.

Diogo's meticulous arrangements and idiosyncratic approach to electronic music have made him shine over the last years as one of the youngest and most promising talents rising from Portugal.

'Tanto Amor' is a 2-tracker EP of expansive excursions rich in detail, expansive low-ends, and rhythmic structure, and not only is this his solo debut on Pluie/Noir, it's also a warm and welcome comeback for the imprint after a long hiatus period.

'Tanto Amor' (A) is a haunting composition of marching drums and crisp hi-hats, but its ever-mutating melodic arrangement, along with Alba's hypnosis-inducing vocal tricks, creates a wide dynamic spectrum of sound capable of filling any type of sonic space.

The flip-side 'Wasame' (B) adopts a freestyle, delirium-inducing approach where wacky minimalism and repetition do all the mind-tricks. Elements communicate and move in a very liquid, organic way yet never losing the drive, giving the overall palette a slightly jazzy, improvisational tone.

The EP's artwork also sees a debut of another Portuguese talent, Pics of You, using solely analog photography as his tool of expression, fitting to this installment of an ever-strengthening series of releases Pluie/Noir collectors were missing. Limited Pressings.

Fresh from her last release which featured an essential remix from Ricardo Villolobos,
Russian artist Julia Govor is back with three more great tracks on the ever excellent
Rhythm Cult.

Julia has come a long way since playing in a military band and is now a foremost house
and techno name who has released on labels like Cocoon, Hypertone and Second
State. She can also be found rocking crowds at the likes of Awakenings, Time Warp,
ADE & Sonar often alongside Richie Hawtin, with the core of her sound built around
an emotional truth, depth and devotion to seductive rhythms.

Opening the EP is the immediately absorbing 'United', a deep electronic house tune
with a warm bed of crisp, driving beats overlaid with acid twitches and dry claps. It
really locks you in and some female musings add a pensive air.

Next is the equally excellent 'Morse Code,', an airy and cerebral, super deep roller that
is quick and slick and filled with eerie atmospheres. Razor sharp hi-hats cut up the
groove, ponderous and hollow bass synths add depth and the whole thing is made for
heady backrooms at 4am.

Last of all is the seductive 'Parallelepiped', a quick and clipped deep techno cut that
will get you on your toes. Distant synth patters and perfectly programmed, frictionless
drums all add up to a steamy and seductive sound.

This is a high class EP of heady house and techno that will find favour with
connoisseurs all over.

M.A.D. is a collaboration of the Funkroom DJs and producers Moxx And Digilog.

Moon Harbour boss Matthias Tanzmann is next up on the label with a very special new release. It features a track that is a love letter to Elrow,' one of the parties at which the Leipzig artist is a regular guest.

This is Matthias' first release this year following the success of his second album, Momentum, back in 2016. Part of the reason for that, of course, is that he has had another busy summer playing his famous sets at the legendary DC10 in Ibiza, as well as many other key clubs and festivals around the world. One of those is the crazy, colourful and carnival atmospheres of elrow, which he pays tribute to here.

Called, unsurprisingly, 'Elrow', the track is a busy, bristling cut with garage style snares chopping up a bobbling bassline. Frazzled synths eventually join the party and whip and whizz about with brain frying results. A vocal repeats a mantra about elrow over and over to fire things up yet further, and mean this one is a real anthem in the making.

The vinyl release also features the previously digital-only 'No Sleep', which was first released on Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records in 2015. It's a classic Tanzmann track which grooves deep into the night and is a driving and dynamic effort to close out an essential release.

Following on from the last DEXT Limited release by Otik & Dead Mans Chest we're kicking off 2019 in fine style with another limited 10' Vinyl cut with the same ethos as the previous release's , 1 rave banger with a killer remix on the flipside. This time we have invited Glasgow's party starter and long-time label supporter Nightwave to join the crew and it seems like she has been here all along.

Psychic Tonic is exactly what we are all about rolling breakbeats and thunderous kick drums and is the perfect addition to the DEXT LTD series. And if that's not enough, another of our favourites Jerome Hill (Super Rhythm Trax) comes along for the ride, and flips it totally on its head on the Remix

Keeping up a busy rate of release in their 18th year of operation, Moon Harbour welcome back regular artist Re.You and debutant Floyd Lavine for two collaborative tracks. Add in remixes from Daniel Stefanik and LAWLER, and you have another essential outing.

Re.You is Marius Maier, who has contributed solo EPs and tracks to the Orbiter compilation dating back to 2014. He is now also in charge of his own Younion label and continues to innovative with his edgy house and tech productions. Here he links with South African Floyd Lavine, a Rise Music associate who brings plenty of authentic tribal influences to his music, and often favours a chunky take on techno.

The brilliantly bristling 'Humanity' opens things with a flurry of hand drums and rattling snares. They are a call to action that get your attention then the rubbery drums really hook you in. Spine tingling percussion hangs in the air and gnarly bass fleshes out this loose, intoxicating track.

The remix of this one comes from VIVa label boss and long time tech house titan Steve Lawler under his new shortened alias, LAWLER. He skillfully reworks the track into lots of bubbling loops, underpinned by bouncy drums a distant drone that draws you in. It's a perfectly high energy cut for the peak of the night.
The other original is 'Seamless', an intoxicating brew of moody bass, prickly drums and vocal riffs that cast a real spell. Synth drones and Afro chants join the mix to add to the intensity and the effect is to transport you deep into an involving dance.

Tackling this one is Daniel Stefanik, a label stalwart and master of intricate productions. He reimagines it as a house track that grows in stature, with wordless vocals and sweeping filters lifting you up off your feet. Growing ever more wild, the track twists and turns with classic claps and clever effects that will always ensure it stands out.

These are four hugely original tracks that offer something very different from the norm.

For Phonica's landmark 25th main label release we present the latest 12' from Will Saul.

Will is known to many as the man behind Aus Music and prior to that Simple Records as well as an excellent recent mix for the highly respected DJ-Kicks series. If that wasn't enough to keep him busy he has produced a sizable back-catalogue for his own labels and the likes of Kompakt, Buzzin' Fly and Systematic.

Will's relationship with Phonica goes back a long time, as a core member of staff he worked in the shop in its early days and needless to say, we've been following his career since day one, so it feels right that he returns to Phonica, though this time as an artist on our main label.

A prolific producer, he's explored everything from Micro-House and Minimal Techno to Deep House and Acid. For the 'Lakeside EP', Will unleashes three peak-time House tracks, starting off with the anthemic 'For Joanie' and its heartfelt vocal loops, onto the uplifting and euphoric 'Drama' before rounding the record off with the late 80s electro-pop vibes of 'Never Enough'.

Ostgut Ton's Berghain mix series returns with volume 08 by Fiedel. Available on 12' vinyl are four new exclusive tracks by Electric Indigo, Stefan Rein, rRoxymore, Boris & Fiedel.
Few figures in Berlin dance music can claim as lasting and multifaceted a presence as longtime Berghain resident Fiedel. A former resident at Berghain forerunner OstGut, the veteran DJ and producer is known by heads for his decades-long influence on left-field techno and bass music in the German capital, particularly as one half of celebrated production duo MMM with Errorsmith, and co-operator of the legendary Wax Treatment parties together with Mark Ernestus of Hard Wax and Basic Channel fame. Indeed, Fiedel's broad vision of what works on the dance floor is informed by grooves both in and outside the realm of 4/4 - from, acid, electro and jungle to hip-hop, dub und breaks - all subtly present in hybrid forms on previous releases for Ostgut Ton and his own Fiedelone and Fiedeltwo imprints. So it makes sense that the four exclusive tracks he has curated for the 8th edition of the Berghain mix series radiate the same off-kilter, bass-heavy and deep techno sensibility.
Veteran Viennese producer, activist and DJ Electric Indigo kicks blasts things off with 'Registers', employing her trademark dubby and sample-heavy rhythmic constructions, minor chords and distorted hats. Driving and atmospheric, 'Registers' sets the bar high not only for the 12-inch but also as the explosive opener for the mix itself. This is followed on A2 by PURE-TRAXX founder Stefan Rein, whose deep, hypnotic 'Panther' transcends techno-tool status with entrancing siren melodies and psychedelic builds and releases.
French-born, Berlin-based producer rRoxymore takes a sonic left turn on B-Side opener 'Tropicalcore', where bleepy, distorted and complex drum patterns recall both classic DMZ and later post-dubstep funk. Finally, B2 belongs to Fiedel himself, who teams up with fellow veteran Berghain resident and Berlin techno stalwart Boris on 'Div'hain'. The track teems with with bubbling bass-lines, cowbells and claps shaped by modular synths, as well as elements of electro and boogie - but jacks hard. It's a fitting closer to one of the mix series' most eclectic 12-inches - made by one of Berghain's most fearless residents.

Rounding up five years of Heist also means we're releasing our fifth version of the Round Up. Last year's edition was full of highlights with Fouk remixing Nachtbraker's anthem 'Hamdi' and Alma Negra going all tribal on Nebraska's 'Big plate chicken'. This year, we've seen a lot of new faces on the label, which has brought us a fresh set of combinations and a couple of really nice revisions of the tracks that made our year.

First up is Detroit Swindle's take on Heist's latest signing Hugo Mari. They chose to remix 'Change ur ways', beefing up the dreamy original. They focus on a simple but effective grainy groove and added a twist on the bass to give a more 'warehouse' feel to it and play around with the lovely detuned keys and vocal chops of the original to great effect.

Alma Negra show you just how loose their limbs are with a Rhodes filled version of Kassian's Acid surprise 'Bad Habit', while the full B side is dedicated to Pitto's personal take on Adryiano's classic house track 'Me and you and her'. His version takes the track into a new territory that lies somewhere between balearic and dreamhouse. Whatever it is, it's got a lovely vibe where the vocal is complemented by airy pads and a touch of acid.

Kassian on their turn, have done a great job on taking Pitto's 'Treat me like a fool' into 4x4 house territory. They've opted for a sub heavy club track where reverbed hits and the vocal take turns over a solid house groove. Next up on the C-side is Adryiano. He's picked Detroit Swindle's moody-but-heavy album track 'Cut u loose' and does what he does best: a steady and nicely distorted filtered house groove that packs quite a punch. The final track of this compilation really is a great pair of artists: Hugo Mari and Alma Negra. Hugo takes the tropical warmth of 'This is the place' and adds a subtle punch with a smart percussion loop and some added pressure on the low end.

The new album will be released across a series of 4 limited edition 12" vinyls. This is the 2nd 12 inch From Tronic Jazz The Berlin Sessions. A Guy Called Gerald has spent the last couple of years flitting through shadows, turning up on labels like Perlon, Beatstreet and Sender like a peripatetic prophet of the Berlin underground, seeding the scene with cryptic singles that return to the past to suggest alternate futures. Now he returns to Berlin's Laboratory Instinct label with the follow-up to 2006's Proto Acid: The Berlin Sessions, the album that re-established Gerald as an acid hero and techno auteur. Tronic Jazz: The Berlin Sessions builds upon the foundation established by its predecessor to create an even more powerful statement of intent, one that communicates more persuasively than ever Gerald's vision for techno in its third decade of existence. One immediate difference stands out, this time around. Where Proto Acid offered a seamless mix of 24 cuts, recorded in one epic session, Tronic Jazz collects 13 standalone tracks. That's welcome news to DJs. After so many years of digital anything-goes, you might have forgotten the kind of sounds that are possible with "old" machines: the way a lead stacked against tuned percussion and shrouded in pads can evoke still other sounds, hidden in the mix, or maybe not really there at all. It's a ghostly, suggestive presence, a kind of evocation of infinite possibility within the context of a limited set of inputs. In that sense, Tronic Jazz follows a certain minimalist impulse, but it's far too lush ever to be mistaken for the dread "mnml" of recent years. This stuff is wide-eyed and full of life. When it funks, it funks hard, and when it smoothes out, it can be as intimate as a hand-written note left on a lover's pillow. As "class ic" as Tronic Jazz may be, the album refutes any notion that "class ic" equals "retro," that the ideas have all been expressed before. Tronic Jazz takes the foundations of house and techno as though they were a kind of language, and speaks volumes with them.

This may be the first release on Alternate Facts but if you look deeper you'll find the culprits have been lurking amongst London's underground for a while now. Dexter Kane and Thoma Bulwer have been solo-navigating the circuit for some time, however the past year has seen them converge to throw a string of successful clandestine events across the capital under the same name.The fact that the pair are both producers and sound engineers in their own right shines through on this well crafted 4 tracker. 300 copies - vinyl only.

The charmed ascent of Eagles & Butterflies, and his intertwined fate with Innervisions, reaches its most fully-realised moment. From his acclaimed Secret Weapons appearances - 'The Story That Never Ends' in 2015, and 2016's 'X' - the British producer has further refined his layered, complex sound world, and set the underground ablaze with a series of masterful sketches.

To say the past 2 years have been busy for Peggy Gou would perhaps be an understatement. Prolific both in the studio and behind the decks, 2016 saw the release of no less than four EPs across three labels. Her two-part 'Art Of War' series on Rekids was interspersed with a contribution to our own 'Phonica White' series of 12's.Gou is an old regular of the store, and the result, 'Day Without Yesterday' / 'Six O Six', was a pair of offbeat club anthems that showed a funkier side on the former title and her first initial foray into vocals on the acidic latter. Following her huge landmark Ninja Tune release, Peggy gets to release one of her earlier favourites - a subtle deep house groover that comes complete with a remix from one of her favourite DJs, Ge-ology. The Baltimore native relocated to New York City in the 80s where he has found acclaim for over two decades, however he remains somewhat of a mystery. Over the course of his career, he's worked with the likes of Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Jill Scott, De La Soul, Yukimi Nagano (Little Dragon), Jem and even a young Tupac Shakur. After years of producing dominantly hip-hop tempo releases, he defiantly returned in 2015 with the well-received dance floor monster 'Moon Circuitry' on Theo Parrish's esteemed Sound Signature imprint. Although his roots in composing 4-on-the-floor dance tempo music dates as far back as his earliest hip-hop beats, this seemingly 'new' direction boldly challenged expectations based on his previous body of work yet his very first production appearance came in the form of a collaboration with the Baltimore-based house music legends, The Basement Boys, who used one of his tracks for their 'Those Guys' moniker in 1993.Here, he takes Peggy's laidback track and adds his own touch, taking the initial riff and layering several lines of groovy kicks before introducing a sharp synth stab. Harder-hitting than its predecessor, Ge-ology's edit is a supremely danceable cut, and better suited to the late-night floor than Peggy's more mellow original .Artwork as always is supplied by the talented Pedro Carvalho de Almeida.

Produced at different stages over the course of an entire year, the Conscious EP is the sound of two producers at the peak of their powers. In one corner is Rossko, the longstanding FUSE resident, best known for his knack for unearthing cutting-edge house and techno sounds— and a man who values a quality-over-quantity approach to production. In the other is Per Hammar, the Sweden-born, Berlin-based resident of Malmo's much-respected Kiloton party and the owner of the Dirty Hands and 10YEARS labels. Rossko's second release on Fuse-affiliated labels and the first collaboration between the pair, this stifling hot three-tracker has already won support from label boss Enzo Siragusa and Seb Zito, with both DJs using the record to great effect in recent sets for Mixmag.

We kick off with the brilliantly trippy and relentless strands of 'Unconscious'. A hypnotic cut that's hypnotic, playful and thoroughly unpredictable, it showcases both producers' knack for high class tech-house with some panache. A fascinating sign of things to come, it gets us underway in seriously auspicious fashion.

Middle track 'Subbconscious' is one that's been lighting up dancefloors for a while now, with both long-standing Fuse founder Enzo Siragusa and long-time Fuse member Seb Zito both using the track to great effect at Fuse's recent 10 year celebrations. A perc-heavy track that's imbued with some wonderful tribal samples, the atmosphere is duly brought up a notch here by the time the track heads for deeper pastures. A thoroughly engaging and unique proposition, 'Subconscious' is very much the sound of an impressive and reciprocal collaborative effort.

Rounding off the release is the suitably-named 'Dubbsconcious'. A nimble, quick-footed gem that again showcases the pair's understanding (as well as their love for off-kilter motifs), this one is all about the relentlessness of the groove. A canny DJ tool that should keep the night ticking over at a consistent pace, it closes an eclectic release in impressive fashion.

Wit Bad is the result of a beautiful collaborative project that started with illustrator Joost Stokhof. He was asked as an artist in residence for Amsterdam's Hortus Botanicus, a place where Joost locked himself up for a week alongside the finest biodiversity in the city. Joost asked Eefje de visser to join him for a day and Eefje asked Nuno dos Santos to form a powerful trinity of which Wit Blad is the unmistakable evidence.

The original version was released in April of 2018 and we finally have a vinyl (only) version to go along with it. On the A side we find an 808 version, which is an extended version by Nuno of the 'Wit Blad' original. Zooming in on the drums and bass line while leaving even more space for Eefjes haunting voice. Eefje is one of Holland's best kept music secrets, her voice is soothing and her presence like a siren song seducing you in. Immersing the music with field recordings, you can hear the birds and surroundings the piece was recorded and even some whispering voices that only add to the atmosphere.

Flipping to the other side we find our dear friend Mattheis remixing Wit Blad in a strong hypnotic vibe. Containing Mattheis' trademark synth swirls, it's as soothing as it is driving with spine tingling harmonics slowly creeping in and out.

This all comes packaged in a silkscreen printed cover containing the illustrations that Joost Stokhof made during their time together. The vinyl also includes a small poster including extra images by Joost and the lyrics of Wit Blad. Adding up to a beautiful feast for both the eyes and ears.

It's time for LET Recordings founder JP Enfant to make a mark on his own label again, and he does so across four fantastic tracks of absorbing and moving techno. Reworking a big tune is never a simple task, especially if after 7 years the tune in question is still one of the highlights in shows of one of the worlds most beloved live act performers, KiNK. That's only half of the story though, as the tune got a lot of love from so many DJ's all over the globe. However, for the 17th Burek release, we wanted to do something really special and what could be better than giving new life to a piece of music which literally gave life to our label. And we gathered some very interesting people for the job.A1 KiNK - Leko (Kink's Bass Shake Version) is a rework by none other thank KiNK himself. The original is a party monster as it is, so Strahil opted for an alternative approach that sheds an nteresting light on a familiar song. Huge resonating bassline A2. In 2013 KiNK had an successful E.P. with Rachel Row called Follow The Step which had a major impact on both of their careers. Later while touring with Rachel she had an idea to put some vocals on top of the first Leko track, which now turned into a completely different, slow track with the familiar piano melody. B1 KiNK - Leko (Session Victim Remix) is a wonderfully subdued take on the original. It keeps all the main elements we all know and love, and enriches them with a more percussive feel, well placed guitar licks and an overall easier mood. All that said, don't make a mistake with thinking this is something for the living room as this one's made for those special daytime/sunset/sunrise moments when a tune like this turns the situation into something everyone will take home with them.B2 KiNK - Leko (Original Version) is the tune, in all it's glory and attitude. Full-fledged peak time house track which turns every party into a steaming pit of bodies asking for more. Too hot to ignore.

It starts off unassumingly, with a bright, airy beach boogie that's all gentle drums and trebly synth figurations, but it quickly turns its eye to the strobe-lit nightclub, first with 'Delusions of Grandeur,' an angular hypnosis of syncopated rhythms, then with 'Aerial,' a 130 BPM blitz with an epic build and an equally dramatic breakdown. Capping it off is '50 AM,' which, as the name indicates, is a woozy shuffle that'll help you land the plane nice and easy.
