Cybordelics was founded in 1993 in Stuttgart, Germany. In the same year, Mike S., Milan Zemanec and Daniel Varga aka Cybordelics released their hit Adventures of Dama on Sven Väth's label Harthouse. The record climbed up the UK dance charts to the 2nd place. People from London to Germany,
especially in the legendary Omen Club in Frankfurt, danced to their techno anthems until the late afternoon. Today's artists like Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Väth, Gregor Tresher, Chris Liebing, Gerd Janson or Anthony Rother were at the Omen club when this record was played for the first time, and they still consider Adventures of Dama a milestone in techno history. 23 years later, the new Harthouse label begins 2016 with a Remix EP, featuring remixes by Ricardo Villalobos, Butch, Tuff City Kids, starting a new era of the Harthouse story.

Dez Williams returns to Bedouin with a 100% solid EP. Against Your Will is a call to a wild dance ceremony. High definition sound waves and a reference to the Drexciyan world, through timeless electro beats. A sci-fi dip into our subconscious and back to the surface, where everything seems to be untouched but it will never be the same again.'

Prolific Manchester producer, Jozef K's forthcoming release, Dawn Of A New Era, showcases Afro Acid's introspective side, with a series of post-apocalyptic, shimmering acid landscapes - which are sequenced, notably, as a complete work.

After a slew of signings to some of the biggest labels in house and techno we are proud to present this ethereal record from Jozef.

The EP begins with 'I Felt A Presence', a both heartfelt & dystopian 303 cut containing an atmospheric vocal that alternates between undefined parameters.

'Between Two Worlds', Jozef's acidic ode to Twin Peaks/David Lynch, portrays an intricate interplay between dark and light, (which is an underlying theme of the show for non-TP fans).

There are also further meanings Mr. K wanted the listener to discover for themselves, a very Lynchian concept indeed.

Track 3 is the dreamy and pensive 'Agkistrodon Contortix'. Another shimmering sci-fi 303 cut.

The EP's title track would seem to be the EP's euphoric peak. A continuation of the isolated, sci-fi-esque 303 based introspection here.

Everybody who knows Connaisseur, will probably be aware of the fact that we simply love the concept of remixes. To fnd the right person for a specifc track in order to turn an already amazing original into a new direction, is always an exciting challenge. Of course, there is always some wishful thinking on our side about what it will turn out to be like. Usually, we are completely wrong, which however doesn't mean that we are not happy with the result. Usually, we love the result even more than our own brainchild. In April, we released Of Norway's sophomore album
"The Loneliest Man In Space", a diverse masterpiece.
Since then, we have been searching for remixers whom we personally really like and of whom we are sure they can turn the track into a direction we can't even imagine. It was a bit of a journey, but now after the product ist completed, we are more than happy that we were able to bring such a group of remixers
together on one product.
As every remixer has delivered such a great interpretation, we decided to give each of themenough space to be discovered, which is why we will be releasing one remix per week over the course of two months. A selection of these remixes can be found
on a 12" extract. One extra remix is exclusively for radio and streaming.
For the vinyl extract we picked the interpretations by Lauer, Panthera Krause, Legowelt, Davis & Zopelar and Roy Of The Ravers.

New York's P.Leone debuts on Rekids Special Projects with four vinyl-only techno cuts this February. Debuting on Spencer Parker's Work Them Records in 2016, P.Leone has since launched his own imprint entitled E-Missions alongside label partner Caiazzo. Moving to Berlin last year, the American producer has quickly earned himself a name within the German capital, making regular appearances at the likes of Tresor and ://about blank, and now joining respected Berlin-based label Rekids as part of their vinyl-only series. Metallic echoes, robust kicks and breakbeat percussion lay the foundation for 'Rose Petal Breaks', before 'Noon Service' demonstrates crystalline synths and futuristic effects. On the flip, thudding drums and energetic claps form 'Hold Me Down' until the ominous 'Sometimes I Feel Strong' concludes the package with rattling components and a cacophony of intricacies.

X/OZ is proud to announce our newest addition to the family: Waage. Waage exploded onto the scene in 2017 with his debut release W which was critically acclaimed and sat on top of the Juno techno charts for two months before selling out. The EP was also selected as one of Juno's techno releases of the year. Now he's back with W2, a continuation of the W series. A rhythmic, haunting, yet danceable piece and a worthy continuation to his celebrated debut.

Volupso 09 comes from Birmingham's very own Bunny. Here Bunny gives us 3 original tracks all having their own unique style and approach to the groove he has shaped then the EP is nicely finished off by Birdsmakingmachine adding a twist on things. Penultimate release from the Volupso camp.

Spanish imprint Clockpoets return here with their second release, a stunning effort featuring three originals from dynamic trio, Døob, Armie and Javi Green. Entitled the Deaf Humans EP, it continues Clockpoets' auspicious start, further cementing its reputation as a label to keep an eye on.

Getting us underway is the sounds of 'Whales'. Nimble, dexterous and full of meandering, unpredictable sounds, its zippy aesthetic marks it out as a track of some distinction. Hazy yet lighthearted, it introduces the record with considerable panache.

'Hippos & Elephants' continues on a similar tip, albeit with a more sinister agenda. Full of haunting synths and tripped-out vibes, it's another intriguing cut that's sure to make an impression wherever it's allowed to roam loose. The trio's penchant for off-kilter sounds is explored once more on 'Bushes', a more groove orientated effort that's notable for its steely ethos and various metallic synths.

Closing off matters is Rico Casazza, who delivers an impressive interpretation of Whales'. Cut from a wholly different cloth to the original, this one is based around a more forceful, techno agenda, the likes of which Casazza has earned a solid reputation for over the years. A more heads down affair to matters elsewhere, its intricate, clever melodies act as a perfect counterbalance to the majority of the record. An EP of various sounds and vibes, Clockpoets' latest is a joy from start to finish.

One of the most prominent and prolific labels in house music is branching out. Berlin´s MOTHER RECORDINGS is pleased to announce a brandnew sister label that will bring a slightly different sound to the world, 100% functional, club weapons that is full-on and physical. The first EP on the label, which is called The People EP, comes from KLANGKUENSTLER. He has played live on Boiler Room as well as many other top clubs round Europe, North- & South America, Australia and Asia. He releases on mainstay labels like Toolroom and Elrow Music and has a big, full flavour sound that brims with warehouse character and oozes groove.

First up is "It's The Inside", a rambunctious Tech House track with huge great kicks that are full of bounce. The chords bring more colour and energy as distant vocals sounds and classic samples add a real fire that will kick start any party.

"The People" is the other excellent old school warehouse track offering and this is another big track with icy hi hat ringlets and punchy drums charging forwards. It's well swung and full of force as rolling toms, acrobatic synth patterns and rave stabs all make you sweat. High pressure and high impact, it is a powerful track designed to detonate the dance floor.

This is a huge new EP to start off the new sister label in 2018! One that suggests it is going to be another vital outlet for club ready weapons.

Mother Recordings sister label SUPERFETT is back with a second sizzling release. This one comes from the RAUMAKUSTIK duo from Germany who have had big success on labels like Hot Creations and Toolroom. Their big tech sound always has a huge amount of bump and chunk and will get and floor fired up and dancing.

These latest tunes are no different. First up is - JOYRIDE , six minutes of fat bottomed house music with fiery stabs and big vocal samples. Plenty of chattery percussion and smart filters add tension and suspense as this one takes you on a real rollercoaster. The big drums power the whole thing along and ensure maximum impact.

Then comes - PAC MAN , with booming, giant kicks down low and rave percussive patterns up top. Sweeping synths wash up through the mix to make the club take flight and the whole thing is a banging peak time number that cannot fail to blow the roof off.

On this new release on P.O.D CROSS, production and Dj duo Politics Of Dancing (S.M.A.L.L & Paco) hook up with quite a pair of talented artists. Nederland's prolific DJ & Producer Chris Stussy on the A Side, and Sydney's most wanted young gun, Sun Archive, on the B side. The result is a quality deep house two tracker cut for demanding dance floors.

The future is officially now. DIRTYBIRD's penultimate release of 2018 sees the label going deep with a stripped-back, loungey tune by Tom Flynn and Amp Fiddler aptly titled, 'The Future.' Twinkling piano chords are a smooth complement to Amp Fiddler's vocals, with a warm bassline anchoring the rest of the track's nuanced elements. It's a refreshing sound not heard often on the DIRTYBIRD, and an indication on the diversity that lies ahead. Claude VonStroke also lent his talents to the mix, crafting a re-work that sees him stepping inside a more subdued frame with crisp percussion and grooving synth progressions for a more European open-air sound.

Tom Flynn is a newer addition on the global circuit, though not lacking in experience, having began his journey in DJing and production at the ripe age of 12. Pete Tong bestowed the title of 'Best Breakthrough Producer' upon him in 2013, and since then Flynn has lived up to the honor with a wide spectrum of releases that has landed him everywhere from Jamie Jones' Hot Creations, to Innervisions. 'The Future' marks his return to the label after well over half a decade, and a triumphant one at that.

Amp Fiddler hardly needs an introduction; the former Prince collaborator's been a major player in the funk and soul genres, as well as a pioneer of Detroit's electronic music since the early 1980s.

April 2017, Osaka, Sakura, the beautiful time of the cherry blossom. We quickly get a warm coffee from the drinks vendor down the street, then off to Kabamix' LMD studio downtown. Time is short, the off-days are counted on tour. As the year before at the SVS label camp in Budapest, we stick to the plan: one track a day. This time we have guests! Marimari, Arihirua and Ryoko epitomize the perfect antipodes to the lonesome samurai on his white horse (Shiroi Uma) we had in mind on our first EP (SVS010). Everything flows, everything is improvised, the music itself is the place where we meet, no much talking about what´s happening, we just carry on doing the thing. The studio of Kabamix, longtime soundengineer of Haruomi Hosono, has built up over many years, it´s a hoard of like-minded people. Gekko No Odoriko translates to 'Moonshine Dancer'. The rhythm, as usual a driving force in our music, is converting every listener unwillingly into a squirrelly moving dancer. Heavy, yes, bassy, yes, yet never isolated drums build the foundation of the beatgrid as well as the arrangement. With an ascending condensation of musical events, the track enfolds it´s physical energy vertically and horizontally. And just as the spacey synth enters the track, Mari Mari has entered the studio, a Korg Prophecy under her arm, straight into the recording cabin, recording 'it'. Vocals by Ryoko aka Mt.Chills and us happy bunch. Holy Water: Visiting the holy mountain near Nara national park, the impossible seemed so simple: capturing water. An old man mumbling on the floor next to the entrance, little volvic bottles making their rounds to this special zone, bamboo growing high all over the place, deers walking close by as if there was no distinction between us living beings.

This EP showcases a wider style than previous Myriadd EPs, and the tracks here are a mixture of dancefloor focused tracks and the more etherial, emotive style that listeners associate with this artist. Astral Journeys is a building dancefloor track that combines deep bass and a bubbling acid line to maximum effect. A second acid track, Excursions, combines solid 909 beats, a bubbling Washing Machine style synth line and a sailing acid line. Title track, Oceans, and City Of Quartz are more Detroit influenced, with a more icy atmosphere than the other tracks, perhaps recalling early UK bleep techno tracks. Cosmos is classic Myriadd style, combining cosmic string solos and Chicago style percussive stabs over a solid bassline.

Paul Woolford returns to Hotflush with 'Mother & Child', his third solo outing on the label following the inescapable anthems, 'Untitled' and 'MDMA'.
'Mother & Child' sees Woolford explore a different style and more cultivated mood. Comprised of two variations on a theme, the lead cut combines both sostenuto and clipped strings in an overarching and evolving melody. There's a sense of menace and foreboding, yet the record's heart belongs, as ever, strongly to Woolford's home
turf - the dance floor. This newfound contemplative air is brought to the fore on 'Mother & Child Divided' as he strips back all rhythmic elements to leave a beautifully sprawling tapestry of strings and synths; alluring, dramatic and cinematic in scope. One hopes this mother and child find each other again...

French maestro Shonky is one of the most consistent players in the game, endlessly delivering playful, imaginative 12"s for Apollonia, and more recently Third Ear. Now he's making his debut appearance on Half Baked with some truly individual tracks that point to his continued evolution as a seriously unique producer. "StudioOne" centres around a wonderfully unhinged set of synth wobbles and a skittering beat, while "Brazilienne" takes a more mellow, harmonious tone. "Fido Dido" harks back to the golden age of minimal, all oddball micro tones wriggling around a steadfast beat, which Robin Ordell nudges up into an electro-flecked strutter of the highest order.

The Berlin based label will now be the primary channel for Thomas Schumacher's releases but will also feature selected artists from around the globe.

Electric Ballroom kicks off with the VORFREUDE EP, featuring 2 singles - VORFREUDE & FANGBANGER - lifted from Thomas Schumacher's upcoming album ROOMS. The release also features remixes from Clio and AKA AKA feat. Thalstroem.

In the field of minimal house reissues, this is a big deal. Perlon main man Dimbiman doesn't appear on wax often, but when he does he makes it count. This early release on Baby Ford's seminal Pal SL was originally out in 1998, when minimal house was a vague concept at best on the most outer reaches of dance music. "Iso Grifo" itself remains a masterclass of spine-chilling space and perfectly strange sonic matter, while "Lava" pushes the notion of reduction dance music to its absolute limit. "Round" is an even more immersive affair that hides many subtle layers within its seemingly simple construct. Quite simply groundbreaking stuff, and highly sought after so don't sleep on it.

La Fleur is a DJ in the ascendant. Now a resident DJ at Watergate in Berlin (and with a brand new EP for their label ready to drop - more on that in minute!) she has balanced her craft and her electronic music production with precision and flair: all of this is the result of hard work and a constant stream of quality gigs across the world. For the uninitiated, La Fleur took her first forays into the studio in 2008, with her remix of David Ekenbäck's 'Nairu' on Trunkfunk Records but it was her solo debut, the Flowerhead EP, for her own Power Plant label, which really rocketed her into charts and record boxes worldwide. Then in early 2011 came 'Flowerhead Revisited', the remix project hand-picked to launch the in-house imprint of Whatpeopleplay. La Fleur remixes then followed for Adana Twins, Magit Cacoon and more. And now, after La Fleur's recruitment to Watergate's booking-agency, we proudly present La Fleur's first record on our in-house label. 'Nightflow' is the eponymous track of her EP - a potential classic, which is seriously deep, but also funky and not a little surreal. No less a figure than Detroit legend Kenny Larkin delivered the remix to it. His 15-minute 'drama mix' unfolds a stunning atmosphere, which is spiked with exotic sound sources and his own distinctive sonic palette. 'Tide' is a first-class DJ-Tool. '

Life is all about rhythms. We don't know what we're dancing to until we're in so deep we can no longer control ourselves. The rhythm controls us.

Right now both Guti and the Martinez Brothers are dancing to the conga rhythm. Guti's third album, they've been dancing to it since the summer, teasing us with a whole slew of percussive new... And they'll continue throughout 2019. Chance are you will, too. Eventually the rhythm will control all of us. It's too infectious not to.

Here's the 411: 'The Year Of The Conga' is Guti's third and most rooted album to date. It came about through a personal request from brothers Chris & Steve Martinez. Both unapologetic Guti fans they wanted the very first album on their Cuttin' Headz label to be his. The result is a total reconnection back to his Argentinian foundations, his club roots and everything that first lured him to the dancefloor...

'I'm back to my roots and found my Latino groove again,' says Guti who wrote the album throughout 2018, starting it whilst bulleting through Japan by train, the majority crafted in the jungle of Dominican Republic, having collected and sampled native percussion instruments, and then finally mixing down on his return to Europe. 'Every song is full of rhythm and created to make you dance...'

He's not messing around; from the writhing snakelike percussion and rousing calls and cries of opener 'Aee' right through to the final mesmerising waves and farewell struts of finale 'Voladora' this an album is born both for and from the dancefloor. No overthinking, no purism, no exclusion; just unabashed physical hypnosis, fuelled for the floor, guided with gut instinct and years of groovecraft. It's the sound of an artist who's disconnected, explored and reconnected. He's older, he's wider and more in tune with his own pace and palette. One of the most diverse and explorative artists to come from Loco Dice's Desolat stable, this is Guti simplifying his passions down to an essence of everything that's magic about his roots and our shared dancefloor culture.

The highlights are in abundance; those hazy-but-persistent New Jersey organs on 'Telling The Truth', that wobbly sub on 'Red Eye', that shimmering sinewy acid line on 'Se Baila', the spicy pianos and wet horns of 'La Orchestra Fantasma', the list goes on. Egopool gets back on Subdimension with a new single titled "Control". This time the German based producer used are a lot of analog gears, like Analog Rhythm, Prophet 8, Moog Voyager, Dominian and System 8 to craft a melodic techno track with enchanting arpeggios and warm basses.
The original mix is accompanied with two remixes signed by Kiko (already known for his releases on Get Physical / Noir / Suara) and Cumhur Jay, who provided their personal reinterpretation of the main theme. The first offers a drier version with huge percussions, the second gets in with a darker mood and a twisted bass arpeggio. Pick your favorite, and take control!

Legendary producers and early acid house forefathers Phuture are welcomed to the AVOTRE imprint with a huge remix package of their seminal 1988 hit, We Are Phuture.

By enlisting the production talents of three of the biggest names in contemporary electronic music, Phuture have rejuvenated the classic track with an up to date sound, 30 years on from its original release.

Kicking off the release, techno don, Ricardo Villalobos, adds his unique flair, creating a much deeper alternative to the original, dripping with weighty tones and dense synth interchanges.

AVOTRE label owner Santé also lays his hand to the release with his own take on the Phuture classic. With a slightly lighter feel than Ricardo's efforts, Santé harnesses his exceptional production capabilities to produce another massive remix of the track.
Starting relatively heavy, Santé embraces the original's now legendary vocal, gradually building before eventually dropping back into its heavy foundations.

Finally, Marco Faraone rounds off the remix package with a true to style club weapon.
With each of these renowned producers adding their own unique style to this classic track, 'We Are Phuture (Remixes Part I)' provides a selection of modern interpretations that will appeal to dancefloors across clubland.

Bristolian producer Daniel Pearce , aka Eats Everything, has unveiled his remix of the timeless ' U (I Got A Feeling) ' by Scot Project, a release celebrating 25 years of iconic dance label, Positiva Records. Having sound-tracked an array of nights over the last quarter of a century, 2018 marks Positiva's anniversary year, with the Eats remix preceding their upcoming weekend of shows at Ministry of Sound as a very special celebration of their 25th anniversary.Established in 1993, the label sold a staggering 35 million singles in the UK alone and chalked up 14 #1 singles through the past two-and-a-half decades, with 2018 marking a year of celebration. Rolling with a typically infectious bassline, Eats' latest release exhibits a rumbling bassline kept in check by crisp drum patterns.The release follows Dan's huge 2017, which saw the UK innovator play dates at ADE, BPM Festival, The Warehouse Project, and a flurry of Ibiza gigs at various venues, including Amnesia's Elrow, and Carl Cox's GAME OVER residency at Privilege.

RUNES #2 compilation comes back with a heavy pack of four compositions from different artists and each of them brings a unique colour to the whole release. The compilation closes with Kristina's absolutely ideal Secrets From Utah'. Composition reveals a trip thru technological sounds that lift the atmosphere and construct a beautiful work of outstanding artistry.

Original Nutter is Michael King faeaturing UK Apachi's classic Jungle vocal. Initially released as a White Label in 1997 at the height of the first wave of UK Garage. This EP was only pressed in limited amounts and now commands over L80 second hand. This reissue is the result of a chance find of the DAT tape. Remastered and recut by MUSIC PRESERVATION SOCIETY, an essential for any UK Garage fan.

The debut release from Mont Lake Records is nally on its way to shake up the scene and rattle dance oors around the globe. The Portuguese duo Retro Spectrum have provided
a stellar two-track EP titled Under LX with a remix from Swedish house and techno veteran Jor-El. Already having previous releases on Monog Records, the production duo
will take you on an interstellar journey through deep and wise techno with splashes of acid to keep you moving until dawn.
Starting the journey o with He Said' they present a deep and dubby techno banger that is perfectly tailored to the modern techno junkie with haunting pads and playful acid stabs
to keep things all tied together. A1 is followed by Jor-El's remix of He Said' taking a more minimalistc approach compared to the original. Jor-El still adds just the right amount of acid that is perfectly tailored for the right moments during the night.
Rounding o the package on the B-side is Late' where Retro Spectrum plays around with their acid sound to create something fresh. The duo adds some interesting ideas by
adding some tastefully placed strings to add tension and a little drama to the track that is bound to pleasantly surprise the listener with something unexpectedly refreshing.

Silverhöjd with Axel E is a tasteful result of what can happen when a 16-year-old producer from a Swedish small town manages to settle within the colossal EDM genre. He has created music that hundreds of thousands of people dance themselves sweaty when Axwell/Ingrosso, Martin Garrix and others put it in their USB and in front of recurring times at the world's largest festivals. But living in a city that has been colored by decades of more experimental underground scenes and especially In recent years a very strong ambient scene puts their footprints even in a young producer's music creation. Silverhöjd is a profound melodic houseware that is mixed by as much imaginative ambient. On the single we hear two versions, one more dedicated dance floor and the other more adapted for quieter moments.

Kepler. makes the second contribution to Silencio's catalog with "Planetary Systems I".
With refined ethereal elements rendered from what is surely an eerie origin, "186f", is truly engaging. This track is fueled with a seductive synth heralded by haunting vocals that effectively whisper over its steady, punchy bass line. Meandering in the background is the type of idiophone sound one would associate with a hand-percussion triangle instrument. Its particular effect provides a complex, rolling rhythm that vibrates in a beautiful tone until its objective has been achieved.

On the B-side "452b" is a great track to open up a set with, gentle yet still energetic in how it introduces itself to the audience. It begins with a series of echoing sounds that rise and dive throughout, seemingly reflected off the surface of one's subconscious, in a satisfying manner. Accompanied by a deep pulsating bass line that accents its driving drums, this track will set the tone time and time again.
Imagine the dawning of a realization formed from an inspiring event in nature. The second track, "Luzon", features a laid back tropical tempo and samples that feel transported from a lush, rhythmic rainforest. Kepler expresses this vision within the confines of a catchy groove, utilizing subtle bird sounds and rattles that resonate over layers of atmospheric synth. This is emotional music meant to move a crowd or manufacture a sincere moment of clarity.

Earlier this year Radio Slave kicked off his Rekids catalogue with the introduction of an exciting new talent (and good friend of the shop!) named Peggy Gou. Now we are delighted to announce that her second release is landing on our White label imprint here at Phonica!

'Day Without Yesterday' begins with filtered down congas, a strong kick drum and some steady shakers to create the backbone of this Detroit-style House jam. Once the groove is established Peggy brings in a cool bass-line that's reminiscent of old school Rick Wade cuts and tops it all off with some sparse keys and crisp high hats.

'Six O Six' on the flip hears Peggy entering into more acidic territory filled with modular mutation and driving percussion. Peggy also shows off her vocal talents as she gives the listener a counting lesson in her native Korean tongue over the fine analogue house production.

After the success of the first experiment, Politics Of Dancing jumps on the collaboration mission for a second time and invites fellow Parisian dons D'Julz and Oleg Poliakov to get deep in the studio. Bass Culture boss D'Julz takes on the A side, and the results are a sleek, measured trip through minimal house with a dubby garnish. Oleg Poliakov's contribution takes on a woozier atmosphere thanks to a wobbly synth lolling through the track, but of course this is still crisp, functional dance music for the long haul dancefloor. Now we just have to wait to see who POD snap up next.

This March, the New York City-based imprint Absence Seizure will see its joint founders Abe Duque and Matuss join forces once more to deliver 'Seizure No. 11', following up on their recent collaborative effort 'Seizure No. 10' with another four tracks of soulful, stripped-down techno.

The EP begins in quintessential Duque fashion, running quirky and soulful melodies over a throbbing bassline and emotionally charged synths, whilst tying in the acid sounds that have been a staple of his music since his very earliest releases all the way back in 1993 as a regular in the New York wave of acid house and underground techno. '22 October' presents us with a progressive and skilfully executed cut, toning down some of the more muscular techno he sometimes produces in favour of a more freeform and chilled out vibe that layers funky synth melodies over bouncy rhythms and drawn-out sonic ambient textures.

The baton is then passed to Matuss for the remainder of the EP, beginning the journey straight off the bat with 'Between 4AM and Basement', beginning as an altogether more threatening number than the release's opener. The minimalism of the stripped-back beats instantly builds a dark atmosphere, creating a compelling flow through the track that opens up into a shuffling house-tinged beat and dreamy background soundscapes that carry you gently along for the ride.
The muted rhythms of 'Meet You at the Back Door' morph and skip around from one beat to the next to forge a jumpy and infectious musical trip that will instantly catch you up in its driven grooves. The EP's finale 'Moon Guardian' then opts for a different tack entirely, starting out with a confident, breaky beat and adding layer upon layer until the track reaches an exhilaratingly multifaceted climax. Unsettling cosmic ambience, distorted vocal samples, crescendos of noise and the ongoing and constantly evolving beats are brought to a perfect balance in this track, bringing the EP to a mysterious and gripping conclusion.

A few months in and TAU, the label helmed by Adana Twins, is in the groove. Launched in August 2018, the outlet has given the Hamburg duo a chance to flex their A&R muscles, curating releases that showcase more established artists alongside up and coming talents, while allowing them to fully explore their own tastes.
TAU004 shines a light on Amberoom, a German trio comprised Manuel Tur, Adrian Hoffmann and Ramin Nouyan. The three men produce wonderfully warm, soulful, nourishing compositions which have already court favour with the Innervisions crew - their killer track 'Kastell' released on the much-respected 'Secret Weapons 11' compilation, and Dixon added his own 'Retouch'. Veteran producer isolée steps up for remix duties on this one, too, making this an essential three-tracker.
The EP kicks off with 'Tulu' a stirring cut punctuated by a wistful male vocal complemented by a harmonious, yet sombre low end. Delicate twinkles and emotive strings add depth as the track tugs on your heartstrings. This is a lush, measured composition with excellent programming on its organic-sounding drums and a contemplative atmosphere throughout.
Next up is the title track, 'Jazire', which picks up the pace immediately. A contagious 4x4 beat forms the foundation of this rousing number, which builds steadily into a cacophony of tribal-esque effects; shakers reverberating next to mysterious sounds that echo in and out of the background.
A melancholy melody gives this track extra emotional density, while the tension builds and subsides intermittently and the beat keeps those hips moving.
Lastly, isolée's reinterpretation of the title track utilises a more traditional house motif, emphasising the shadowy atmospherics and injecting a more insistent beat. As the 4x4 rhythm pumps along, he adds clicks and skipping toms - pushing the energy levels up a notch. A dark, eerie tone pervades and isolée retains the sorrowful refrain from the original to complement his dour synth riff.
Adana Twins keep the standards high as TAU continues to impress with another exemplary release...

'Jacking industrial knees-up meets formal idiosyncrasy in this banging collaboration between Deapmash and Aquarian, with massive kicks, quaking breakbeats and soaring atmospherics.'

Rising star Ben Sterling has already garnered huge support from label co-founder Jamie Jones. Moving into 2019, the talented youngster makes his debut on Hot Creations, delivering three punchy, high-octane tracks this February.

The EP kicks of with Surrender - a track that shows no mercy with its heavy drums, hedonistic vocal hooks and a rolling groove. On title track The Energy, Sterling layers breathy vocals over a driving bass, perfect for those 3am losing your mind moments. EP closer, Apathetic Behaviour, is pure unadulterated after-hours fodder.

One of the original residents of Josh Butler's Origins series, Ben Sterling has had tracks signed to Butler's label of the same name where he joined greats such as Kerri Chandler, Groove Armada and Huxley. Last year saw the young DJ play at the infamous Warehouse Project alongside KiNK, Dennis Cruz, Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed and Marquis Hawkes. He's performed at some of dance music's leading events including Paradise, Elrow and Kaluki. In 2019, Sterling shows no sign of slowing down with events already locked in for Printworks, Hideout and Snowbombing.

Italian artist Fede Lng takes to his own Axe On Wax imprint to deliver the second release on its AxeOnWaxWhite sublabel, which comes complete with a deep, acidic and bumping dancefloor weapon featuring Yaeji titled 'Looking From Above'.
With material landing on labels like Nervous, Who's Susan and Blaq Numbers, as well as his own label, Fede Lng is quickly becoming a fixture in the global underground scene. This latest collaboration with the exciting talent Yaeji further showcase why he's one to keep an eye on moving forward.

Marko Nastic's third edition of Easy Tiger brings together some of the finest artists of the genre.

Each true to their own style, V.I.C.A.R.I., Marc & Nils and Sakro take their interpretations of Marko's bold, housey, morning inspired tune.

V.I.C.A.R.I. keeps it low, tuned to afterparties mood, while Sakro and Marc & Nils orientate their remixes more to club, prime time grooves, encircling the EP to four completely different tunes, set for different moods and individual preferences.

The new Phoenix G (PG039) is an excellent deep and hypnotizing release. Relying heavily on one shot chords and thumping vintage drum machines this is one for the bag.

Kaiserdisco (Drumcode/100% pure) release their debut album sampler consisting of 4 solid dancefloor Techno gems on Christian Smiths imprint Tronic.

Matt Edwards' R-Time Records welcomes back Sir Lord Commix with five silky cuts for the fourth 'Retroactive' release.

Amoon Andrews' outfit Sir Lord Commix returns with the fourth instalment of re-released gems that have been in high demand on the vinyl market. Born out of Rekids, R-Time Records has previously released twelve of Commix's cuts, yet his treasure trove discography keeps on giving, spanning two decades.

Released on Ugly Music in '96, 'World Of Groove' is a smooth house cuts with an abundance of soulful stabs and driving percussion whilst hypnotic melodies and sweeping cosmic strings envelope 'Life Cycle', which first appeared on Cynic in '05. 'Cosmic Jive' - from the highly sought after 'Evidence' vinyl of '97 - pumps a reverberated kick amongst shimming chords and rising bleeps.

Appearing on an extremely rare release on Hard Up, 'Under Seige' has an off-kilter rhythm and erratic yet funky slapping bass melody. Finally, the release concludes with an ethereal cut titled 'Beyond Reach' complete with liquid breaks, floating arps and shining melody (originally from a Talahachi VA in 2014).

After a successful release on Eastenderz, viceversa returns to his own imprint for another great release. Support comes from the likes of Raresh, Enzo Siragusa and East End Dubs. Limited numbers in. Not to be missed

Flug, as his name suggests, allows his audience to take a trip back to their roots, back to their inner self and what it is to really feel techno. The Argentinian´s definition of techno has been clearly demonstrated not only through his DJ sets in clubs and festivals all around the globe that are as devastating as they are uplifting with his serious kick drums, use of hi-hats and reverberating bass lines, but also through driving his own organically produced techno forward through his releases and remixes. His music is now recognized and played worldwide due to his unrivalled and brutal self-discipline in the studio, his humbleness in approach, his fierce passion and overall dedication.


For 100% Pure, Flug has produced 'I Like Stress' EP comprising 2 remixes by label head 2000 and One and artistic duo Atoll.

The release starts off with Wolfhart, a stripped back groove and exquisitely delayed elements will sure get things going.

Next up is Ording, named after a city in northeast Germany, its dubbed infused chords will take you on an expansive mind trip.
