This re-release from Italians Do It Better features "Want You Back", a sparkling, hazy electro-pop / oddball post-disco song sounding like it's been made on vintage 80s keyboards. We get two mixes of this, plus two versions (English! Spanish!) of B-side gem "All Out Of Order", a slo-mo electronic groover which gives Ramona's vocal the vocoder treatment.

Here's a new Small World Disco Edit, N.4
This one seals the return of LTJ to work for that label.

After turning down almost every imaginable group & record company on the planet, Glass Candy returns from the studio with their second remix in 11 years ...This time it's Appaloosa's "Intimate". Imagine the romantic Human League fronted by Nico covering Stereolab. That's about the only way we know how to describe this record. Glass Candy dips them in their signature analog glitter with some of Johnny's heaviest drums to date as the synthesizers gnaw at your speakers. The result is a beautiful pop song that will haunt you. This is also the first glimpse from Italians Do It Better's forthcoming AFTER DARK 2 compilation out later this year. The b side features the original version from Appaloosa. Who is in the studio working on their debut Lp for IDIB later this year. Bonus tracks include instrumentals, drums, and vocals

After playing Salma & Sabina, John Peel commented on his radio show: "Wasn't it the poet Keats who once said, 'A thing of beauty is a joy forever~' I think he may have had Salma & Sabina in mind."

From the liner notes of the original 1981 release: "This album contains the Hindi versions of the melodies of the World's Number One Pop group - ABBA. Their melodies are magic and their reproduction in any other language is a challenge which only the most talented and versatile musicians and singers can accept....With their stunning personalities, looks and voices, the Agha sisters are sure to become a phenomenon on the musical scene."

a deep, jacking monster, accentuated by soulful vocal flourishes and driving synth paranoia. It takes vision to make music that sounds both authentic and cutting-edge, and it takes real skill and talent to pull it off this well.

The in Berlin born and Augsburg based DJ and producer Daniel Bortz is one of the most promising newcomer in electronic dance music. With his three releases on Pastamusik he allowed his audience to get a first view of what is coming next. And here he is !!!

Nelue returns to the turntables with the second 12" featuring Spanish folk singstress Russian Red. "Deconstructed" is a summery disco-ish tune with a nice Balearic feel to it. And speaking of Balearic, try the laidback (or lazy') "Chick Me Up" on for size.

Remixes of the title track come from Nelue himself (Cosmic Remix) and disco/house meisters Crazy P, who gave the track a juicy, beefy re-rub. "Deconstructed" is the second of two 12s, the tracks of which are brought together on the CD "Deconstructed EP" (LMNK32). However the Crazy P remix is exclusive for the vinyl. Viva el vinilo

Norway's most famous and acclaimed nine-piece jazz/alt.rock/prog/baroque/afro-beat masters return to the fray with a new EP drawing on their recent album, "One-Armed Bandit."

In 2003 Visti & Meyland teamed up through friends and immediately found out that they shared a mutual passion for creating music. Their love of music has spawned several 12s on labels such as Warner, Music for Dreams and Eskimo. This is all very spiffing, however it is their slightly quirky, spanner-in-the-works take on things that really attracted us to the Danish paring. Their broad musical heads & certain sense of humour in their music dovetails ever so nicely with our own wacky take on the world here at Bearfunk towers.

Their self titled debut album is a result of their 7 year journey together. We love it. You've probably already heard one of its lead tracks "Yes Maam / All Nite Long". It slyly samples some US archive negro spiritual recordings and spins them a minimalist electro disco groove. Recent single "Stars" also takes a staring role with its epic extended "prog-disco" build up and rousing Russian-cold-war-navy-style chorus.

Future single "Leave Your Worries" heaps on doses of positivity with dancefloor groove and zany lyrical musings. The floor friendly "Diggy Dang" also adds to the up-tempo groover quotient to the LP. Of course there is the obligatory cover version on the album, Grace Jones "Nightclubbing" is the subject here, a fine quirky disco re-take.

Both being Gemini's, the vibe in the studio can become fairly tense, and sometimes result in hour-long discussions on music, music history, musical taste and life in general. This feeds down to the varied set of tunes. Tracks such as "Something In The Way", "Slowly" and "I'm Scared" explore the more introspective, downtempo and thoughtful side to the pairing. Epics such as "The Chair" detail the breadth of influences and the vast musical silos the pair can draw from. All in all 10 thoroughly well constructed songs.

Just as the name suggests, Funk Burners debut 12' delivers dance floor bombs certified to light up any party rocking DJ set. First up is the Disco Breaks / Hip Hop laced cut - Whatchya Got. With it's smooth 70's horns and familiar vocal edits, this is one that will surely get the ladies on the floor and your party started right! On the flip side, Electric in the Streets is a road tested party anthem. This track will make you feel like you're rocking down to an 80's block party only to find a late 90's rave in full effect. Devastation!

Already getting DJ support at clubs and festivals worldwide from Fort Knox Five, Slynk, Slim (Goodgroove / The Sly Players), All Good Funk Alliance and Ursula1000 among others.

COVER OF THE CLASSIC STARDUST HUGE IN IBIZA WITH UK FRIENDLY DUBSTEP REMIX

Soul Jazz are issuing this seminal super-rare rare-groove album produced by Roy Ayers originally released on his own Uno Melodic label in 1980.

This amazing one-off album produced by Roy Ayers featured the group Eighties Ladies made up of the singing talents of Susan Beaubian, Marva Hicks, Vivian Prince, Denie Corbett & Sylvia Striplin backed by an all-start line-up Roy Ayers band (including Rick James who shares the production).

The anthemic 'Turned on To You" and "Ladies of the Eighties" are both included in this absolutely classic boogie-funk-jazz-soul album from the start of the 80s. Loved by soul boys and jazz heads alike, this is one of the rarest of all classic boogie albums, with original copies fetching upwards of hundreds of pounds for many years now.

Yet another unmissable, under the counter trio of cuts, lovingly crafted from the most unusual of sample sources,
combined with squeeky clean production values that make this a dancefloor dead cert.
Moonshine bears more than a passing resemblance to Carl Craig's monumental 'Throw' and ploughs an equally devastating groove, utilizing, of all things a chunk of Glitter Band's 'Makes You Blind'.
On the flip the off-kilter but irresistble 'Revenge Of The Rock-O-Mites' is a re-imagining of the lead track from The Incredible Rock City Band's impossibly rare Electro-Funk EP from '83 & sounds like Allan Parsons remixed by Dexter.
