Following on from the standout second Ciao Italia compilation, the mighty Rebirth bring together another collection of tracks that surf between the past, present and future, highlighting the importance and continued influence of the Italo dream house world. Alternate versions, unheard gems, certified classics and pure class as you’d expect from the likes of Oneiric & Vortex, GNMR, Populous, G-Connection, Snare Dream and TiEs.

Ace Vision Records starts with the first press AV001 released by Ace Vision. The label wants to create an intimate mix driven by the 80’s italo touch and the early 2000 disco, synth pop and electro sounds.

In this release you can find on the A side Homesick, a dance floor killer track that wants to bring energic vibes to the listener thanks to the catchy grooves, double arpeggiated bass piloted by a nostalgic synth and warmy pads and Italo Vision, a tribute for the classic italo disco with the taste of Ace.

Dark Entries has a surprise delivery! Malebox brings us six previously unreleased funk-fueled jams from the archives of the cybernetic disco titan himself, Patrick Cowley. Best known for his chart-topping disco anthems, Cowley left us with an incredible body of work before his tragic death in 1982 due to AIDS-related illness. Since 2009, Dark Entries has been working with Cowley’s friends and family to uncover the singular artist’s lesser-known sides, including his soundtracks for gay pornographic films on compilation albums School Daze, Muscle Up, and Afternooners.

But Malebox gives us more of the Cowley we know and love: churning disco-funk and hi-NRG tracks that are spacey and sleazy, gritty and sublime. Recorded from 1979-1981, these six tracks illuminate what was one of Patrick’s most creatively exciting periods. “If You Feel It” and “Love Me Hot” were both early Paul Parker demos; the former is a peak hour hi-NRG bomb, while the latter dips into Cowley’s zoned-out space disco sound. Jeanie Tracy’s soulful vocals feature on the demo version of “Low Down Dirty Rhythm”, which was later re-recorded by Sarah Dash. The slower, less-varnished rendition here hits with a wild psychedelic edge. Meanwhile, Patrick’s gifts for careful orchestration and infectious melodies shine on “Floating” and “Love and Passion”, which were likely demo tracks for Loverde. The songs on Malebox display the vitality and inventiveness of a brilliant composer taken from us too soon.

Malebox sleeve design was by Gwenaël Rattke, and features a hyper-color retro collage. Also included is an air mail envelope containing a letter from Patrick Cowley to French disco producer Pierre Jaubert as well as liner notes and hand-written lyrics. Malebox will be released on November 12th , which is the 40th anniversary of Patrick’s passing.

A year and a half ago, THE MFA returned to the fore once more, when we released their "Oranges and Lemons EP".

Their new album, “Lights Out”, which could be described as a long time coming, is definitely THE MFA’s most ambitious work to date.

As they put it in their own words: “The album is very special to us. It’s a long ambition brought to fruition. It’s an album that is at home on the dancefloor or at home. We’ve always been influenced by 90s rave culture and the club scene of that era and the explosion of creative freedom through electronic music that happened back then.”

The album sums up what THE MFA stands for; their love of electronic music intertwined their love of songs and melody, sometimes banging, sometimes pensive, sometimes longing, occasionally up-beat and happy. Melodic techno-pop-rave then.

The album opener "My Desire" pins down the essence of the album, showing some pop sensibility and a healthy dose of that early 90s spirit with longing vocals by Rhys Evans. The track shows from many angles of the intensity of what club culture was about. The track has, for sure, that pop quality which sets it apart - it is a very complete and rounded and in the true sense, a hit.

"Identify This" kicks off with blissed-out sci-fi sounds but commences with 90s rave chords that gets under your skin and creates a fantastic kaleidoscopic picture of moody UK rave with these spurts of emotional uplifting moments which are worth every penny.

"Bear Likes To Rave" takes us back to the warehouse days and reminds us of the acid warehouse parties with fanned stroboscope beams and dry ice cannons. It’s like looking down on a rave party happening from above, from a bird's eye view, which is in full swing where the euphoria spills over into the audience. "Girl Ahead" is a vocal track exclusively on the digital version of the album, again with Rhys Evans on vocal duties. Here they ponder all the possibilities of the future and the mistakes of the past. Features space toms and grand piano rave chords to evoke a housy feel within.

With "Freedom24" a Hi-NRG melody meets nightcrawler sounds ala "Klang De Familie". This is a soundtrack for the night.

"Lammas Day" has the chilling exotic quality of 808 State "Pacific State" if you grant us this comparison, paired with some phantastic Dr Who sensibilities! This track is quite a voyage!

"Warehouse"... Make Some F-...ing Noise... A TV presenter speaks about Acid house...... This is a wild mash up of impressions which nicely go together due to the melodic string composition and the 303 sequences.

"The Snapping Branch" starts with a mash up of sounds and then dives into an episodic snapshot of "happiness" when the serotonin shoots in (just before it drops). Experiencing a perfect flow that does not want to end. Every clubber knows that feeling.

"You Make Me Smile" is the third vocal track on the album featuring Rhys Evans on vocals. It has fantastic radical stark mood changes and blatant shifts, therefore throws the listener from one corner to the other. Just like the contrast of day and night. Bits here and there might conjure a Radiohead spirit, but really this is all MFA.

"Lights Out” certainly puts across the feeling you get at the end of the night - the club has closed; you are walking home. These are the sounds and feelings in your memories as you chase the vibe that is dwindling as the club becomes ever further away.

2023 Repress

Official re-mastered limited edition reissue of the mega-rare Blow Up records release of the Italo masterpiece Pink Footpath by Loui$. Originally released in 1985, this gem has become one of the most highly sought after Italo Disco tracks around. On the A side is Magic Dance which is good, but it's the instrumental version of the track Pink Footpath that really gets the disco DJs drooling. With its killer analogue bassline, dreamy soft synths and balearic guitar riffs, it's easy to see why it became such an anthem at the early Ibiza parties as well as a late night favourite in Chicago and New York.

Vintage Pleasure Boutique unearths another gem from the Made Up Records catalog. This time it was the turn of the highly appreciated and sought-after “Watch Out” by Jackie Touché. This is one of Michiel Van Der Kuy’s most appreciated vocal space productions. The richness of the sounds of the classic Juno 106 synthesizer and uplifting progressions combined with Linn Drum is what fans of 80s dance electronic music love the most. The album includes 3 restored and remastered original versions and 4 new remixes by Prospero, Bellatrix, A.P. Mono and Chris Van Buuren. A real treat for fans of this genre.

Miss D used to work as a model in New York. That she ended up in Vienna was sheer coincidence. That she became a recording artist was never planned, either. She moved to the Austrian capital with a well-known commercial producer in the mid-1980s, and soon she found herself recording TV ads for ice cream manufacturers.

One day in the recording studio, someone had the brilliant idea of making a proper record with her. The outcome was the highly sought-after disco oddity "Moving", most copies of which were destroyed due to a lack of commercial success.

Now getting a second chance, "Moving" is as strong as Austrian disco productions from that era come: slow, bouncy, full of personality and consistently surprising. So, three cheers to coincidences and random ideas in recording studios. This is a most memorable 7".

Mystique Records kick off the label with MYSTIQUE Vision #01 a full frontal EP from Sylvester Javier, aka Stefano Curti of Vibraphone fame, that delves into the depths of house, techno and acid.

'Secret Ceremonies' nods to the hey days of tech house with the Italo Disco Mix a rolling '90s influenced number. The Cocorico mix weaves in a bit of that early 00's minimal feel before the Original touches on a jazzier, more soulful strand.

On the flip, 'Lost in 1st Avenue Loop' and 'Microdot' venture into the realms of acid tinged techno to round of the EP.

On the A SIDE: Dreems has taken a little wander over into the Pinchy patch with three mental head spinning tracks that defying categorization.

And on the B SIDE: Dreems meets dub legend Scientist for three mixes from the desk. Each track was reimagined and re-recorded before Scientist took control of the faders to dub them in to oblivion.

"Star Italiana" wants to represent the Italian imagination of the 80s, an era lived at the top, full of charm, hedonism and contradiction. An indelible period stuck between social revolution and technological transformation, lunar journeys, cold war and electronic batteries 808.

Thanks to the the songs on this album, the authors deal with themes such as passion ("Marlboro Light"), politics ("Polizei"), culture ("Shooting Star") and social affairs ("Paparazzi"), all seasoned by a healthy dose of irony personified by the characters photographed on the front cover.

It's music characterized by lively rhythms, pulsating synthesizers, pounding melodies, morning-after drums, all shaping the characteristic sound of the era: ITALO DISCO.

On the A side we have Lee Stevens “Theme forDisco Biscuits” , a modern Italo stomper with heavy synth work and delicious sprinkles of breakbeat, sitting alongside Endrik Schröders „Infinity“, an ecstatic, upbeat Synth-Disco hybrid that is generously coated in syrup made from 80s Hi-Energy and earlynineties scandinavian Disco. The B Side opens with “One Of A Kind”, a slowly baked house chugger by Jakobin & Domino, taking its time to rise and develop a rich and deep flavour before the Golden Boogie Connection hit us with “Dull Grey”, a laid back Disco affair that is topped with a slab of Acid, which is neither dull nor grey!

Giorgio Gordano and Giorgio Dolce originally produced ''KKK'' back in 1983, and the track was taken into the hearts of the blossoming Balearic scene hovering around DJ Alfredo at Amnesia. It's as gentle and sweet natured as Italo disco can be, and of course it makes perfect sense that Best Records would dig it out of the archives and give it the shiny new reissue it deserves. The ''Club Mix'' of ''KKK'' is a feast of simple, charming programmed melodies and crisp drum machine rhythms with the innocence of the early 80s in its heart. The ''Dub Mix'' and ''Bonus Beats'' on the flip are handy for the technical DJs out there, but the ''Club Mix'' is where it's at for the lovers.

New Wave infected the cult Italo-Disco disc made in 1984 accompanied by a captivating Danilo Braca new version in a 2020 limited re-edition!

Probably one of the most expected re-issue from the italo disco all time hits. Originally released on 1986, both track of the EP (Another game and You Take Me Up) are produced and performed by Marcello Catalano.

Following the fiery motion and ecstatic energy of their first release, Riga-based imprint 'Tooflie' are back for round two.

Paying tribute to 90s Eastbloc low-brow pop music, four anonymous producers are breaking new ground and breathing new life into the lipstick traces of the kitschy melodies of the era in their edits for 'Tooflie'. 'LKA' boasts galloping percussion, funktastic breaks, and infectious vocals in an epic but sensual dance floor trip. 'KFE' turns into a deep, slo-mo house jam with sharp melodies and soulful vibes.

On the flip side 'MAXIM VS. TDJ' is as high and steamy as it gets with the whole thing sure to boost and uplift any crowd. Building up to its explosive finale 'LIND' goes in slow, with thrilling beats, haunting overtones and a yearning female vocal that slowly but surely rises into bliss.

A Franco-Italian production of the latest vinyl de-luxe of Ryan Paris, recently released in a strictly limited edition in three colors (yellow, spottled, fuchsia). On the side A of the EP we find ''Tarzan Boy'' (Baltimora) which peaked at # 2 for 5 weeks in Musicbox live France and the 80's remake of ''Always On My Mind'' (Pet Shop Boys). On the flip side the Club Mix Version and the 80s disco-club remake of ''Dream'' by P. Lion (# 8 also in Musicbox live France)- The release also contains the autographed postcard of the Italo-disco icon Ryan Paris (Dolce Vita) for all the aficionados of the fantastic music of the 80s.

Limited collector's edition of 300 copies only of this rare italian disco funk studio project from 1977 run by Pino Presti.

Today is very rare but the value of this reissue is that contains for the first time ever all the original versions plus the long version that never saw the light, because for some reason both 12" and the 7" original vinyl contains only the short cuts (called part 1 / part 2).

A time capsule from the golden age of Balearic history opened for the first time in 3 decades. Ibiza legends Leo Mas and Sergio Portaluri generously give Sound Metaphors the honor of releasing historical material from a special time and place.

Originally produced in 1993 these tracks have been sitting in DAT tapes waiting for an opportunity to tell us a dancefloor story from a golden era where there were no smart phones or social media.

Mike Mareen - Greatest Hits & Remixes Vol. 2 now available on vinyl !

After Vol. 1 included the extended versions, we now proudly present on Vol. 2 the radio versions of Mike Mareen‘s hits, e.g. „Love Spy“ , „Dancing In The Dark“ , „Agent Of Liberty“, „Lady Ecstasy“.

For twenty years, Dynarec has been pushing the boundaries of electro on some of the best known labels. Little will his listeners know, there is another side to this prolific French producer’s machines. Speakwave is a lesser known, and heard, moniker of this analogue artist and the debut vinyl release of this nom de plume is set for release on Bordello A Parigi.

Fans of the Dynarec sound are treated to the same wonderous compositions and melodic structures with something else added.

“Cartographic Venture” is a ten minute introduction to this new style. Crisp drum patterns support cold flourishes and stabbing synthlines before distant vocals arrive. The track balances the frostier edges of electronics and wave to create a lonesome and longing synth pop ballad. “Coming On Monday” has a different energy. The pop element of the predecessor remains, lyrics are vocoder dipped while confident key shifts are countered by strong rhythm patterns. The closer, like the 12”, defies definition. Burbling notes and sharp snares give an edge to

“Exposition to Revolution”, but there is also a more inviting nurturing side coming through in the spiralling skyward melody. A release that shows another fascinating side of this multifaceted musician.

Adrian Marth, based in Barcelona, comes through with his new debut EP Marthians World by Italo Moderni own imprint. His italo is infused in electro tracks that are bound with their vibrancy to make any listener dance, with a killer bassline and super spacial synths.

There is something about these tracks that bring you back with nostalgia to the 80's but without losing a contemporary feel.
Including remixes by the great Baldo, Antoni Maiovvi and Mufti.

Disco Segreta is incredibly proud to introduce one of the most obscure and sought after Italian disco tracks ever released !

Salvatore “Sal” Vito Panzera is originally from Lequile in Apulia, and as many Italians of his generation, his parents moved to Canada in 1967. He was already there by the time of his first single “Era Scritto Cosi/Il Vento” in 1969. There he formed a band with “paisà” Giovanni “Johnny” d’Orazio and his brother Sergio Panzera, playing every Saturday for italian weddings in Montreal.

It was during one of these gigs he met Jerry Cucuzzella, a disco producer from Montreal (Bent Boys, Suzy Q, Punkin’ Machine). Giovanni and Jerry would end up working together on a lot of other disco and hi-nrg productions such as Nightlife Unlimited, Stephanie Wells, Valerie Krystal, Evelyn Smith, Motion, while Sal wrote and sang “Space Traveller”, an english and french cover of the Italian disco track “Capire, Amare, Soffrire” by Il Seme dell’Amore, for his studio group Animation.

“No, Stasera No” was originally released as a 7” in a few hundreds copies with no cover, handed out as a promotional tool in order to publicize Sal and Giovanni’s own label “Piuma”, when they decided to step into production. Timing didn’t help the fate of this 7”, as it got released in 1981, at the very end of the golden era of disco music, letting it disappear into obscurity and making it a super sought-after disco holy grail.

More than 40 years after its original release, Disco Segreta makes the disco miracle happen once again, reissuing “No, Stasera No” and giving this track the 12” treatment it originally deserved.

The 12” features the respectfully remastered original 45 version plus a dancefloor-friendly “Re-Clap edit” by Italian wonderboys Gugliemo Mascio & Cosimo Mandorino.

Note this release is strictly limited and as for all our 2023 releases it will NEVER be reissued again!

Reissue of this italo disco rarity from 1984 with Flemming Dalum and Rey David Diaz remixes!

Vinyl tribute to notorious hangout spot 'Martino' in the city of Ghent where many rockers & ravers grabbed an afterclub sandwich. This EP is a tasty baguette filled with 4 extended versions of Belgian OG's that never came out on a 12 Inch featuring soulful disco, cosmic electro, synthpop boogie and Flemish italo.

The debut release from hot new Glasgow label Curriculum Vital comes from none other than its founder Vital Spark.

Written and recorded during the cold harsh Scottish winter, Diskoteket is the antithesis of the long dark nights, exuding positive vibes and playfulness.

On the A-side, the EP's title track Diskoteket pays homage to our neighbours across the North Sea, whilst the A2 Leijonat looks even further east, an imagined anthem to its namesake.

The B-side opens up with Stone Of Destiny, a Eurodance channelling banger dedicated to a certain watering hole in Glasgow's West End. Those who know, know...Finally the record finishes with Pace Yourself, a straight up peak time club cut with a gentle reminder to take it easy once in a while.

With Diskoteket, Vital Spark provides a modern take on the classic sounds of genres like Italo Disco and Eurodance - big synths, liberal use of arpeggiators and just the right amount of nostalgia.

Our fourth analysis of frequencies from the void above resulted in a recollection of sounds obtained from the catastrophic death of an atom in another dimension. FTVA04 consists of four cuts by Chilean producer MOYA81.

On the A-Side the record opens with Decode, a slow-burning intro to this journey. A2, Akasha is a modern take on electro with italo elements where the hectic bassline is in constant conversation with the apocalyptic pads and sound effects.

The B-Side affirms the feelings generated on the A-Side, opening with A World Beyond, a 7 minute journey through the depths of this atomic catastrophe. under the moniker DNA (standing for Danny, Norm & Andres), the trio centered around Andres Astorga aka Trujillo brings out their own vsionary reworks with nothing but the songs' titles as inspiration. On "Brazilian Breeze", they dive deep into an ocean-blue rippling with cool synthesizer sequences and steel drums. "Mysterious Nights" teases you into a Linn Drum-driven adventure in which hazy waves mingle with late 80's guitar licks and soothing brasses. Arriving at the Bordello in a veil of secrecy, the four tracks of Synthesizer Hits do the talking for this unknown artist; and you better believe this music has something to say. The gloriously uplifting “Eurodrink” opens. Beaming bars border on pure elation and sullen sorrow, a tight drum keeping time in this space opera soundtrack. That same line of joy and sadness is maintained in the considered and reflective “20000” with its distant words and epic synthwork. “Bra” melts the pulsating energy of disco with complex percussions while a future vision melody descends. The close comes in the form of “Il Vizietto.” A daring work of astral electronics that takes its cue from the masters of silver screen and beyond. A stunning debut from an artist who music lovers will want to know.

Much coveted in certain collector circles, this release offers 4 tracks originally recorded in 1985 by, at the time, high school starlet Paola Belloni. All tracks are sung in Italian and consistently easy to appreciate but "Vattene" and "Un Uomo Semplice" steal the show with remarkable downtempo smoothness gliding in the lower BPM ranges. Although many studios at the time would have already standardized more synthetic sounds brought by widespread access to electronics in the mid 80's, these recordings offer a more organic and warm sounding instrumentation - one solid round aural aperitivos. Officially re-issued with original artwork and re-mastered at Manmade mastering in Berlin.

Moana Pozzi in the late 1980s, following in the footsteps of her illustrious colleague Ilona Staller/Cicciolina, made her official singing debut by recording several songs arranged and produced by Jayhorus. The music ended up in several of her films as well as being performed in her hot live shows.

Discographically at the time only a few tracks were released on 7″ and 12″ singles that are now cult collector’s items for fetishists and weird DJs.

At last, Cinedelic has gotten their hands on the original masters, unearthing some unreleased ones as well, producing a luxurious gatefold LP.

Thus we find persuasive, nocturnal and mischievous tracks in perfect nightclub style such as “Amore Tossico”, “Autostop”, “Ultima Notte” and “La Gabbia” side by side with more Dance tracks such as his main hit “Supermacho”, the Dance-Rock “Impulsi Di Sesso” and “Gate One (Aeroplano Telecomandato)” and the Funky “Rocky.”

A luscious collection of rare and sought after Italo house gems from the golden era of 90-93 when clubbers from Rimini, Ibiza and beyond couldn’t get enough of those hedonistic summer dancefloor ecstasy vibes.

Including 13 tracks carefully selected by Brescia based, Rebirth label boss Shield, with the Art direction of Stupefacente studio, ranging from the formerly unreleased, rare as F, and very, very expensive records (ranging from £20 to £200 per copy) all beautifully presented in this retro styled 1990 world cup sleeve along with a 20 page booklet with a background story to this influential sound. Tracks featured from DJ Ralf, Alex Neri, Optik, Morenas, Sueño Latino, Leo Anibaldi and many many more.

For their second LP ‘Elios’ on Periodica Records, musical collective “Parbleu” - led by Andres Balbucea and Andrea De Fazio - reach towards realms both astral and ancient to present a solar sonic suite of sky-seeking exotica inspired by the mythological adventures of Helios. Elemental grooves anchor textures of cosmic magic and faraway fantasy, wherein panoramic conga and bongo displays lead to limbo line hysteria and fat-bottomed bass grooves slide through layers of galactic grease. Phaser riffs and flangers arps fly in unison, lyrical runs dart and dash through flourishes of baroque Turkish psychedelia, and as moonbeam lasers fire over thrilling balearic escapes, Iberian reeds dance joyously amidst jangling six-string sunstrokes.

Captured in part at the West Hill Studio, the album is an evocative and polychromatic display of sight and sound, one where Arabian strings riding a desert wind dub skank give way to passages of cinematic folk funk, or elsewhere to sections of pompous progressive rock and angular jazz fusion. And as with Parbleu’s first LP ‘Danse Cette Zik,’ there is an awe-inspiring display of vocal talent across ‘Elios,’ as soft-soul seances, choral pop communions, 60s soundtrack spirituals, Italo diva poetics, and intoxicating call-and-response spells rain down over the mystical melodies and dancefloor dynamite.

Taking the iconic voice of Italian movie celebrity Patrizia Pellegrino yet again to vocalize another Roman disco-pop anthem amongst diggers worldwide. Early synth playfulness with Cosmic nuances arpeggiated under a mysterious and dreamy Italian female vocal that reverizes about seeing the world from the perspective of a cloud with a romanticized fondness for its diversity.
Originally released as a 7” and brought back to your record collections at an affordable price in 12” format, remastered and while respectful to the original release this re-issue also branches away from the short radio play format as it features an additional extended edit for the more indulgent dancefloor.

For the encore, we feature Dele Sosimi. The London-based Afro beat Maestro, was at the heart of Fela Kuti’s reign and movement. Dele brings fresh insight to the package. In this direction, Dele Sosimi drops a wicked spoken words vocal salutation to Fela with gorgeous synth to keep the horns and groove going. The production incorporates modern Afro house to reflect the upbeat tone of the spoken phrases. We also invite Trinidadian Deep to contribute a stunning Afro Caribbean remix to this sequel.

Hell Yeah heads to Brazil and the cultured sounds of Pedro Bertho for a hot new 12" that features Mariana Gehring and remixes from Romain FX and My Friend Dario. The digital version includes two bonus cuts while the vinyl is the first to have all-new artwork by FJD.

Now based in France, inclusive party promoter Pedro Bertho’s music is a melting pot of sound that draws on his own personal heritage and a life spent digging for records. That means that afro rhythms, Italo melodies, rolling reggae, deep house, and plenty more all get mixed up into something new.

They have come on the likes of Cracki Records and always search out innovative ways to bring euphoria to the dance floor.

For the first tune, he works with Mariana Gehring, a Sao Paulo-based singer and composer influenced by new MPB and other signature Brazilian sounds like Forro, Maracatu and Samba.

Their excellent 'Tornei' is a mix of full-fat bass and sensuous vocals. Fizzing synths, percussion and FX bring the energy while Gehring arrives in the breakdowns to bring the spine-tingling soul. Romain FX is a scene mainstay, label head at fauve, boiler room veteran and has released on the likes of Kalahari oyster cult and many more.

His version is a retro workout with lush cosmic melodies and slinky grown-up grooves sure to get the floor full.

Next is 'Elephants au 5eme', a busy mix of analogue drums and hits, wild elephant trumpets and fleshy synths that bring unusual tropical heat to any party. The same track is remixed by label regular and new school Balearic boss my Friend Dario.

He plays with the vocals, layers in shimmering chords, and keeps things dubby to make for another of his signature grooves.
