One of house music's most underrated artists is back with another one of his gloriously soulful and deep musical excursions. Alton Miller does vocal grooves like few others and despite having done so much of it already, his new EP Reflections Within is one of his best. Opener 'Vibe Check' brings to the fore the vocals of Giinga Flame whose rich tones later in the soul next to freeform synth lines and over classic, dusty, cuddly house drums. 'Light Of The World' soon soothes with its balmy pads and gentle chord vamps and 'No Fomo' rides on slightly heavier drums but is still alive with jazzy motifs and the heart-aching tones of Giinga Flame. 'Around The Corner' then bumps along in subtle fashion with smart synth dabs, smeared pads and an elegance that few can match.

Stefan Ringer's latest release embodies his signature infectious style of dance music, showcasing a blend of tracks that pay homage to his roots in Atlanta. Opening with "ATL Sh*t," a tribute to his formative years in the city's vibrant DJ and nightlife scene, the song features a lineup of local artists who share their own Atlanta experiences. "Satisfy" channels the essence of early dance music, boasting a rhythmic allure complemented by the velvety vocals of Ash Lauryn and luscious chords.

"Crazy World" sees Stefan himself take the mic, offering a poignant reflection on the current state of affairs through song. Collaborating with Kareem Ali on "Vision," the duo crafts a deep, forward-leaning track carrying a message of positivity. The EP concludes with a hypnotic, sample-based groove that slows the pace and captivates the listener.

Label boss El Prevost makes a welcome return to No Speakers after it's been on something of a break. Thankfully the quality levels remain high here as he kicks off with 'Catastrophizing', a brilliantly bass-heavy cut with broken beats to make you sweat.

On the flip, 'Landing' has a more inward sense of reflection with its fizzing synths and deep space atmospheres making an indelible mark. Last of all, the magic of Detroit looms large with a superb remix by Motor City mainstay Kyle Hall.

His version of 'Landing' brings some jazzy melodic vibes and one of his trademark deep house and bumping grooves. This is another essential 12" from No Speakers.

Kenny Dope and Louie Vega's Nu-Yorican Soul project was responsible for some of the biggest underground club hits to come out of NYC throughout the 1990's, their collective vast musical knowledge, impeccable taste and legendary status as DJ's in the city only helped elevate them to the highest level.

"The Nervous Track" is a fine example of the duo's deep musical heritage, originally released on Nervous Records in 1993 it's deep pads, bassline and solid as a rock breakbeats captured the ears and minds of any self respecting DJ or dancer who came within a hundred miles of it, the very definition of a classic! Fusing the worlds of Jazz, Latin, HipHop and House MAW set the blueprint for generations of DJ's and producers to come with records like this.

Here, re-mastered and re-issued from the original DAT's in conjunction with Nervous Records NYC is a piece of dance music history, "The Nervous Track" is available again and still sounding as vital and groundbreaking as it did on it's original release.
