Detroit based artist Jeremiah Shaw, known as J Shaw Electro or SpaceDrifter3000 is an up and coming artist influenced by early Detroit Electro. Since 2008 he is a part of the international band collective AnTiZeRo and has released on Militant Science Records.

In this harsh world, J Shaw looked to alter the reality we live in with ways of escapism. Using sound as a positive influence and escape, J Shaw decided to alter the sound around us in order to drift to other worlds. Finding peace and tranquility; the first Destination: Space

Nois Land is a collaboration of artists from the Detroit area who have come together to create a massive EP appropriately titled "Big Kahuna." These are studio sessions pulled from a time capsule, reconstructed and brought back to life. A uniquely diverse and original listen, with styles ranging from island grooves to disco screamers!

Blair French returns to Rocksteady Disco after last year's brilliant Standing Still Is An Illusion for another 12' of mind, body, and soul music. 'Public Park' starts off the release, with flutes, guitars, and African marimbas abound, presenting itself as the song of the summer. 'Spirit Guides' follows, taking listeners and dancers on a spiritual afro jazz odyssey. The flip features two versions of 'Public Beach', a communal ecstatic dance meets Detroit Jit footwork cut with a massive bassline, pulsing percussion, and harmonized chanting, constructed for open-minded dance floors and deejays. Limited to 300 vinyl, TIP!

Derek Carr follows up on his album 'Contact' on Subwax Excursions and a plethora of high class EPs with this four-tracker of techno soul goodness. This is Derek's debut release of Ferox. Not available digitally.

To celebrate the turn of the year, Cocoon Recordings presents us with the fifth edition of the Dots And Pearls anthology, which has been offering us an exclusive glimpse into Cocoon's treasure trove of demos at irregular i ntervals since 2011. Once again, the eight tracks on show represent a comprehensive snapshot of the current state of club music as 2018 fades into 2019, combining established stars of the scene with eye catching newcomers to create a harmonious overall package.

First up is Berlin production team youANDme, who have been an integral part of the capital's club life for over ten years as well as running the 'Rotary Cocktail' label. Their epic floor filler 'Claret Loss' kicks off the compilation with a refreshingly reduced yet deep Techhouse showpiece as the 'ear circus' begins. In fact that's the name of the next track by promising debutant Florian Hollerith. 'Ohrenzirkus' amazes with a bone-dry bass drum accompanied by an insect squadron and atonal orchestra horns. Little wonder that this bold homage with its sonic claim to immortality also takes pride of place on Sven Väth's 'Sound of the 19th Season". Geneva based, Cadenza producer Quenum then reels in the acoustic madness with the elegant, metallic percussion of 'Blue Mountain", while Croatian mastermind Petar Dundov takes the listener into a highly emotional state of weightlessness with the typically anthemic 'Pyroelectric". Next, Systematic label boss Marc Romboy scores with 'Sequential Error", a perpetually growing ball of energy that lights the way to the dance floor. Marco Spaventi and MOS label head Aroy Dee link up for another of their intriguing collaborations. They have done so before on this label back in 2012, and their latest offers another vital mix of raw house and ambient. Opener 'The Way We Love' features typically rough, blistered drums and sci-fi synths, but this time with a heavenly vocal and uplifting chords up top that tug on your heart strings. An ambient reprise of the same track is a perfect excuse to kick back and get lost in your own thoughts. 'The Way We Move' then takes a long view, with far-gazing Detroit pads and mid tempo drums getting you deep into a dreamy groove that is wide open and expansive. Last of all, Marco remixes this one on his own and flips it into something that is even more melodic, with circling pads and a musical bassline all making for a beautiful piece of timeless house music.

Dan Piu is releasing his first full Album with unreleased traxx since 1999. A collection of beautiful Chicago & Detroit sounding pieces that he created throughout the last centuries.

Hot on the heels of his full length "The Totality" on Medical/Transfusions, Gavin Guthrie (this time as TX Connect) delivers three of his most ambitious cuts for our listening pleasure. Conceptualized as a document to a very special night in Texas during the early winter of 2018, TX Connect raises the temperature utilizing acid heat in these three otherworldly cuts that fully illustrate the analog brilliance and multifocal dance floor dazzling that his reputation always delivers. For the ones who missed out on that awe-inspiring Mutant Wave party, here is your chance to teleport to a place that won't soon be forgotten. Mutated sound waves and dance floor intensity are in full effect.

Following Juan Atkins' 'I Love You / Techno City '95', the Archiv series is back, staying
true to its mission, examining the always surprising and never ending Tresor Records
catalog. This time around, the spotlight is placed on Greek producer Savvas Ysatis.

After his move from Athens to New York City in '93, Ysatis released a string of
collaborative works with his production partner Taylor Deupree, before returning to
Greece ve years later in order to help develop the local scene.

Two albums came out in 1999 (Highrise) and 2001 (Select) on Tresor Records. Genuine
pioneering works, both of Ysatis' LP efforts still sound as relevant today as they did nearly
fteen years ago. The four classics and two original remixes present on this Archiv #08
re-issue have been carefully selected by Savvas Ysatis and Tresor, to be re-mastered and
cut in a new conguration for your listening pleasure and playing comfort.

Deep introvert yet powerful groovers by Ruffien on his second Deeptrax EP. In this one, he finds a perfect balance between club and bedroom-oriented heaters. The tracks on side A "Burner" and "Full Measure" have enough force to pack a punch, yet still carry that sense of intimacy which he has been known for. The B side is an 18 minute dub-techno trip named "Nada" that was previously released digitally on his label HLF/PIN, but has been re-issued and re-mastered for vinyl in all of its immersive glory. Winter music at its finest.

After a career spanning more than 25 years John Beltran lands on the Belgian De:tuned label with the long-awaited follow-up album to his widely acclaimed classic 90s masterpiece "Ten Days of Blue". On "Moth" Beltran opens his heart by combining melody, emotion and soul with infectious grooves. As such he lays down the definitive and timeless Detroit sound with a clear nod to the early innovators. From 4/4 dance floor burners to tribal shufflers and ambient interludes, "Moth" is a well-balanced journey full of blissful atmosphere for both the mind and feet.
The matching artwork was designed by the talented Plastica from Spain. Matt Colton took care of the mastering duties to ensure the highest playback quality. The album will be released as a 180 gr vinyl double pack. A separate digital release will also be available from all the usual digital shops.

Organic Flow has born from two organic minds influencing each other, a project of two friends representing the Old school & New school. After years of a constant process of preparation, nutring spirit from many kinds of musical forms, trying to open the mind as much as possible, we decided to release this first EP that comes with four cuts.

It's a rare thing for two labels to come together to release a track, but KMS Records and Feel My Bicep have done exactly that.

Vision Of Love' was produced by two London based, Belfast-born blogger-production-DJ duo,
Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson. Matt and Andy need little by way of introduction. Their 'Feel My Bicep blog" is the go-to place for tastemakers world-wide for lost and forgotten disco/Chicago house/Detroit techno/Italo edits and everything in-between. Their remix track record has also been excellent with them stamping their distinguished sound upon works from Blondes, Toby Tobias, Chamboche, Blood Orange, Cosmic Kids and many more for labels such as Domino, Wolf Music and Tusk. Will Saul then snapped them up for his label Aus, with a collaborative EP including tracks 'You' and 'Don't', which hit number one on Juno and caused the Beatport charts some bother. Then in September 2012, Feel My Bicep, (the label) launched with the highly sought after track 'Vision Of Love.' It turns out that Matt and Andy had found an old Inner City track named 'Good Love' (originally written by Kevin Saunderson and Ann Saunderson back in 2000) and naively, they sampled a section of the song and created their new track around Paris's vocal. Feel My Bicep, then released the track on vinyl only, as a limited pressing.

Matt and Andy explained 'like many house producers, when sketching down ideas and jamming in the studio, we sometimes roll through acapellas to find any little vocals snippets that work well over beats we've done. In one particular instance we stumbled across an Inner City acapella 'Good Love' that really worked with a piano riff. We titled the track 'Vision Of Love' and released it as a, limited pressing, vinyl release. In our naivete, we figured that we'd sell a few 12's and no one would really take any notice... Then, much to our surprise the track started getting played on radio 1 and getting a lot of interest. We then realised that we would have to sort out a deal with Kevin, as the sample's owner. Thankfully, he was very understanding about the whole thing and we worked out a deal to give him and Ann the credit that's due. So, while we're sticking to our original plan to keep that entire EP as vinyl only, Kevin's label (KMS Records), are releasing 'Vision Of Love' as a digital single'.

Kevin had this to add... 'Inner City and myself (Kevin Saunderson) have a long history of influencing people and the music scene with our songs. Especially with our vocal tracks and a track that was written by myself and Ann, way back in 2000 (for Inner City), is no exception. The track in question is "Good Love". At the end of last year I heard the track 'Vision Of Love' and I instantly recognized that the sample was taken from 'Good Love'. I thought, wow, that's "Good Love' and it works really well over that piano. There was some really good music happening, it had a nice sound to it and it was just perfect. I knew the artist was Bicep, so I thought let me try and reach out to these guys, to see if they would be up for letting me release the record, digitally. I could give it some exposure and we can have a win/win situation for everyone. So, we made contact with the label, we worked out a deal and here we are now!! KMS is about to release the track. It's very catchy and very hooky and that's a part of my soul, always. It doesn't always have to be just musical, both vocals and melodies have been very important to some of the biggest tracks that I've ever created'.

No remixes have been commissioned on 'Vision Of Love', but KMS is very lucky and very happy to announce that none other than Carl Craig himself, has graciously submitted a 'c2 Edit' and a 'c2 Bonus Edit', to make this a very special release indeed.

The 4th Release On Detroit Vinyl Room Welcomes A New Artist To Our Roster That Was Born In Chicago But Has Been Based Out Of Detroit For The Past Few Years, Moppy. His Original Track vinyl Is Important' Captures His Unique Eclectic Style While Also Embracing The Deeper Sounds That Are Sought After On This Label. His Original Track Was Remixed By Label Owner Isaac Prieto And House Music Legend, Norm Talley. Isaac's Remix On The A Side Show's Resemblance Of Early Electro Music, Pushing A Futuristic Sound At A Faster Tempo. The B Side Of The Record Contains Norm Talley's Extended House Interpretation And It's Finished Off With A Secret Ambient Track From Moppy At The End. This Record Can Be Found In The Record Bags Of Artists Like Kai Alce And Patrice Scott.

On his debut E.P. for WPH Adham Zahran presents two pieces of divine house music that ooze soul and musicianship. 'The Midnight Tower' will go straight to your hips with it infectious piano hook whereas 'Disco Infinite' is a subtle discofied bass affair that would sit well next to classic Theo Parrish or Moodymann stuff. High praise, but just listen and you'll know it's well-deserved!

Session Victim can do no wrong in our eyes. Not only do they run an absolutely brilliant vinyl-only label known as Retreatwith the help of fellow Berliner Quarion. Not only do they play an amazing live set which has seen recent fans at London's Corsica Studios get so worked up they started crowd-surfing. Not only were they responsible for last years' underground hit Good Intentions which is so good it had Move D in tears as he closed a festival set with it last summer. On top of all this they're the nicest and most focused couple of chaps you ever did meet. In short, we're very proud and happy to be presenting their debut LP The Haunted House Of House on our humble label. As with our last LP from the mighty 6th Borough Project, we have made the LP available as both a beautifully packaged triple pack vinyl as well as CD.

Opening track Dark Sienna sets the mood and serves as a good taster of what you can expect from their highly accomplished debut. We're talking looped up deep-disco territory here with a lovely mid-tempo rolling groove driven along by open hats and a square wave bassline, lush string sections and dubbed vocal hits all adding heat to the mix.

Zoinks continues the theme with the perfect balance of organic drums, dusty stabs and a healthy dose of solid gold machine-funk. Push Comes To Shove follows, upping the pace slightly and resulting in one of the more obvious floor friendly cuts (or should i say as obvious as it gets with Session Victim!).

Next up is the more laid back yet still seriously head-nodding vibe of Alpine Glow on which the SV boys even manage to make a cut-up Mark King-esque slap bass sample sound good! Haunted House dives straight in next with an uptempo jam featuring a heavy disco groove and compressed pads laced with subtle arpeggiating acid lines. Some Balearic vibes are offered up next as things continue with Cow Palace and Bison until we're hit with a special new LP version of Good Intentions, the original having been only available on vinyl so far.

Time to shake things up a bit next with a definite highlight of the LP - Light Scent of Decay. As the acronym of the title suggests we are heading straight into psychedelic territory with this beautiful 9 minute and 40 second long live jam drawing us deep into its pleasantly off-kilter confines. Next the boys drop it down a bit for Fine, which sees the duo opt for some headnodding hip hop vibes. And finally we have the spellbinding Flying Visit to leave us on a total high.

Coming on like some long-lost Nightmares On Wax classic, we are treated to a gentle Balearic beauty which should leave you in no doubt that you're in capable hands with Session Victim at the helm.
