Guy Gerber welcomes the wonderfully talented Sonodab to his Supplement Facts imprint with his 'Nowhere EP' - four original tracks, taking you on a journey through deep, dubby house and techno.
First up 'Acid Rhythm' is carried by a strong groove, flowing along on a deep hypnotic wave with warbling synths subtly rising and falling back into the deep dubby atmosphere. Holding onto the fluid movement and fuzzy warmth, 'Ars Geotia' takes a techno turn with warm stabbing keys and prominent hi hats that carry the track through a solid, groovy pace until the end.Next up 'Freak' is tighter, driving and techy with an array of intricate percussions and a precisely formulated loop, boasting plenty of swing and groove while later, warm pads envelop the rippling synth structures. Rounding off the EP and creating a cohesive whole, 'Bon Voyage' delivers a smooth dose of techno, beautifully textured with eerie haunts followed by dark waves and minimal clicks and bleeps.
Originally born in Barcelona, Chus Duran aka Sonodab fell in love with the old vinyl surrounding him in childhood and founding an eclectic taste. Starting out around 1994 as a resident DJ in his hometow, by 2004 after honing skills in production Chus signed with Funkdango Music to release his first record and later joined Decoder Muzique. A highly talented producer to emerge on the electronic scene, Sonodab has already edited and remixed for some of the biggest names in the business. It's certain we will be hearing more of his name after this stellar EP on Supplement Facts

Guy Gerber's Supplement Facts imprint signals the end of 2012 with a Various Artist sampler entitled 'Things Have Changed EP'. Featuring a few household names alongside some future stars; Alexkid, Borrowed Identity & Mechanical Soul Brother, Gab Rhome and Andrew Grant & Lomez, all appear on this release filled with quality and diversity.
After critically acclaimed works on Rekids, Freerange & Desolat, Alexkid opens things up with a monstrous kick drum on 'Euclidean'. Layers of lush arpeggiated synths unfold around shuffling percussion culminating in a hypnotic climax that peaks with the release of a throbbing bassline.
Borrowed Identity & Mechanical Soul Brother get the party started on 'With You'' serving up a hazy sub bassline and skipping highs giving this one plenty of old school flavour. Spacey pads swirl and cascade in and around the mix paving the way for a breakdown of epic proportions to provide serious hands in the air moment.
On the flip Gab Rhome kicks things off with a samba inspired bassline before a cleverly arranged call and response snare and clave pattern are introduced to create the groove. Expert melodic layering is complimented by several carefully selected vocal snippets showcasing this producer's strong understanding of sonic textures.
Fresh off the back of a massive release on EDEC Music Outlet, Circoloco resident Andrew Grant & Lomez are left with closing duties and they do not disappoint. A big kick drum coupled with a funky offbeat bassline set the tone whilst airy pads pulsate in and out of the mix. Shimmering samples and brassy synth riffs build the tension until a groove laden high end is finally released much to the listeners delight.

'Fields Of Light' is an ambitious compilation release containing 6 tracks by BNJMN, Aroy Dee, Lerosa, Metropolis, Perseus Traxx and Tr One, that focuses on other qualities than the usual style-similarities. Here, the focus has been put on some other aspect; their soulful and melancholic nature. On each side 15 minutes of dreamily emotive and sometimes alienating works from these 6 producers have been pressed. Some of them appeared earlier on Photic Fields, others are new here. Among these works you'll find a deep and multilayered sonic excursion (by BNJMN), a dark, futuristic and movie-inspired piece (by Metropolis) and an emotion-drenched late 80's inspired house music-cut (by Perseus Traxx). Each of these tracks may have their moment to be played, some might work on dancefloors while other are 'just' for the home-listener. But a true sentimentalist should find these moments.

Influenced by the music of Basic Channel and Detroit Techno's generation of Italian-influence Electronic musicians , Roberto Bosco has been able to successfully launch his career in only five years. With releases on many
international labels, such as Night Vision, Be As One Imprint, Applied Rhythmic Technology (ART) and the Wave
Music, a platform created and managed by house music pioneer Francois K. Now, Boscocomes to Balance with an
exclusive project, "Introspective", engaging with more tech-house inspired sounds than any of his previous releases. The first song from this project is "When the Rain Comes Down", a collaboration with Jenifa Mayanja that
offers a smooth deep tech production with spoken vocals and a hook of eternal qualities. Also included in this project is a remix by up and coming young Italian producer Peter JD, who brings more of a club-ready vocal to the table.
Side B is deeper, mind-tingling techno, consisting of two tracks called Untitled. These offering are only available
on this vinyl release and will not be included on the album, nor will these tracks be available digitally. The first is
an appropriately introspective affair, offering hypnotic tribal drums that burn slowly amongst haunting synths
chords. A real slow burner, it undulates slowly and subtley whilst unfurling delicate and complex percussion. Never quite committing itself to the club, Untitled (1) finds its only forceful moments in robotic string stabs that recall
Drexciya's early work, alongside an overarching aesthetic of being in the water. Untitled (2) is appropriately analogue in its sound for this vinyl only release, shrouded in tape hiss and driven by cascading percussion. Dull and
sharp drums bounce off each other against an orchestral melody that brings to mind the work of Kyle Hall. But
Boscohas an exceptional ability to handle simple elements lovingly, and pushes the tone of Untitled (2) towards
the euphoria of 5am sunrises over stark industrial settings. Simply put, there is much to be indulged in here, with a
rhythmic complexity well suited to repeat listenin

Next up, True to our Plastik People tradition another track from the vaults! this time we see C & M Productions track "Possible", this track originally came out on the Lesson One EP back in 1997 ,which to this day is extremely rare and hard to find. Last up, Label boss Marc Cotterell delivers a new track under his "Cotterell" moniker, Striped down beats from that 95 era, Organ stabs, Old school vocals and a baseline that will destroy any dance floor. very much reminiscence of early KOT who he loves and respects very highly

After appearances on Werkstoff and Kammer Musik Neal White is back home on Eintakt Records with a quite playful while straight ahead thinking 12 inch. We start off deep underwater with the title track, a melancholic dubtechno drifter with a touch of pop called Goldfish. Enjoyable pianos, a rainy atmosphere, some classic chords and that tasty voice by Klavinora make that track a proper name giver. After that wet A-side we come up afloat facing the Livefish Remix from Rhauder (famous artist on the great label Ornaments) on the other vinyl side, a reduced (even a bit) stoic floor operator, driving us through the confusions of the autumn sea. Coming ashore and meeting Queen Ema is peaceable after all that. Conciliating with the world and weather while getting surrounded by warm pads, curly effects and again the piano hints played by Klavinora

As a follow up to Tyson Ballard's Feel Like I Feel EP Voyeurhythm proudly present remixes from two modern day legends John Daly and Legowelt. John starting things off with a well rounded dancefloor tool the VR team have been rinsing this mix over the summer to great effect and Daly makes most use of the rhodes building up to all the fist pumping action you would expect from such a stellar producer. Legowelt's take on the record heads towards drowned out tape machines, lead lines from the self confessed synth head, simple but complex at the same time are all what we expect from this legend, honoured to put them out on the medium they deserve - strictly limited small batch run. Trikk follows up last year's debut release on
ManMakeMusic with a second offering of
shimmering bass heavy house music aimed
squarely at the dance floor. The EP itself has
already been getting some heavy rotation from
ManMake label boss George FitzGerald, appearing
on his recent Boiler Room and Radio One Essential
mixes. On Basement Traxx we see the darker side
of Trikk's musical personality as he gives us a
stuttering techno drum workout with demented pads
and ominous stabs. Rounded is trademark Trikk
featuring rolling subbass alongside drifting chords
and swinging drums. Lando (formerly Lando Kal)
completes the EP with a guttural techno rework of
the Aside rounding off a stellar dancefloor centric
release from the ManMakeMusic camp....

We kick off 2015 with Efde's debut EP for Soweso! After delivering a killer remix for Samuel Dan's 'Shake It' release back in 2011, it's time for Efde to take the spotlight. Efde has been captivating us with his compelling dj sets and exquisite selection at places like Trouw and our Soweso label nights. With his 'Move On EP' this all comes together in a a unique blend of jacking house fuelled with warm pads and techno rhythms. Four tracks that are drenched in Detroit nostalgia, but with a very contemporary vibe and an irresistible groove. The title track has been remixed by the amazing Trus'me. The Prime Numbers head honcho has been making waves in the international techno scene over the last decade with hits like 'Somebody' and his recent album 'Treat Me Right". The remix he did for Efde is no exception; the 'Thrust Mix' is a dark and eerie banger that will leave its marks on the dance floors. Don't sleep on this one!

Dixon Avenue Basement Jams returns with a late-summer BOMB tried & tested in the field with exemplary results. If you've managed to catch the DABJ DJ duo at one of their many outings in Continental Europe, as well as Jackmaster, Optimo and many others this summer, then this will surely be a welcome ID for the many of you who thought: "what the fuck is this!". "Sulta Selects Vol. 1" is the opening gambit of Denis Sulta, pseudonym of a long-time collaborator here at Rubadub, working fearlessly in his studio under the cover of darkness up until now. Sulta's three-track offering serves up masterful edits tied together with his impeccable production work. On the A is "A.A.S (Night & Day Mix)", the track on everyone's lips and undoubtedly set to be one of the tunes of this year. And we don't band that kind of praise around lightly: this is genuinely HUGE. "A.A.L.A.S" kicks the B side off with a majestic filtered and chopped soul cut, and "Saturday Night" finally finishes off the parade with a blazing disco edit hand-built for post-Witching Hour workouts. This whole affair is pure club damage, destined to rock faders from the fjords to the floorboards.

Once again, this release is shipping with a limited print of Dan Axons art. This print is titled "Reggie" after the dog in the DABJ logo.

They took their time polishing this new black piece of gem you'll be holding in your hands and after a period of careful track selecting, dedicated A&R work and multiple mastering sessions they proudly present the first, full EP on the label! Janis got the honors of being the first of the bunch to claim it! Named after his moms' favorite singer Janis, a full time musician, is either working on jingles for MTV European Music Awards, or making music for high-budget commercials and German art films, or spending his time constructing highly infectious House grooves. (Busy bee this one.) His latest EP for Tensnake's Mirau got strong reactions from the international House community including legends such as Mousse T, who couldn't resists its magical moods and atmosphere. On the 'Parental Advisory House' EP Janis got to demonstrate his vide range of talents. Driven by heavy bass line and filled with a funky chord sequence lead track will easily be implemented in your brain with the freaky vocal singing about a girl that just can't stop dancing. Kids will need Parental Advisory before listening to this, as they'll probably be infected with the same catchy virus called movement, spreading from this tune. It's infectious we tell you! Adults are in danger of being contaminated as well. And let it be known that you've been warned! With 'Fitzefu Pumpkin' Janis breaks the groove in a massive 2-step pumper.
