Few if any producers have managed to make the transition between hip-hop and house as successfully as Vincent Williams, a.k.a. DJ Spinna. But until now his hip-hop career has been better documented. Here, for the first time, is a collection of the cream of Spinna's house remixes, a collection likely to win a place in the homes of anyone who loves their house music with a deep and soulful twist. Brooklyn-born Spinna absorbed all the influences that were available to a young man growing up in 1980s New York, from the Caribbean and Latin vibes found in his own home (his father's record collection a major stimulus), through the block-rocking beats that were being dropped by the nascent hip-hop scene at neighbourhood parties, to the soul and disco being spun by Frankie Crocker and Shep Pettibone on the radio, and by Larry Levan at The Paradise Garage where Spinna became a punter.

For their second release, Sound Of Vast enroll revered Italian producer Niro who, delivers some of his finest work to date. Remix by Japanese superb producer Gonno (Beats In Space / International Feel).
Amsterdam/London based label The Sound Of Vast was founded in 2014 by Japanese DJs Knock and Red Pig Flower.
After made great success of the first EP as an official imprint, the highly praised 'The Shades' by Egal 3, For its second issue, VAST enrolls Italian revered producer Niro (unclear, DB Artists Musique and Memento) who, with these 3 tracks, comes up with one of his finest selection of works to date. Taking inspiration from the analogue sounds that permeate his musical landscape - and his studio - Niro just went with the flow here and put no boundaries to what was coming out of the speakers, a journey between land - with the classic Roland synthesizers to set the tone - and space - experimenting on a tripper and more colourful vibe. 'La Cochonne Intergactique' is wobbling bass and flanger percussions introduce spacey pads and deep dreamy atmospheres, until a freaky melody breaks out and leads to a soft and slightly dark closing. Its remix brings the percussive elements and drums to the fore, giving a more muscular feeling and a bumpy groove, remix by one of the most respected Japanese producer Gonno (Beats In Space / International Feel). 'Krissy Moon' is robotic bleeps and stabs play along twisted beats and computerized rhythms, like the soundtrack to some crazy German late-70s alternative SCI-FI movie, while 'Tender As Asphalt''s sweeps and filters frenzy opens up to bouncy chords and acid ambiences. Also to add more vast flavour into this release, Red Pig Flower's remix had complicated drum tricks and more emotional vibe, as lunatic as 'Krissy Moon' indeed.
This EP contain digital only and vinyl only tracks as usual, as we believe in 'Krissy Moon' Niro's original track you will just find on vinyl, and Red pig flower's experimental groovy remix just will be on digital, both of them can not be missed.
Lastly, this EP will pressed 500 copies only with out repressing, quicker people will have a benefit as usual.

DAST (aka Daniel Strazzullo) is a young and talented Italian producer based in Naples. After the release on "Hot Waves" and "Liebe * Detail" he is pleased to present the release on "Etruria Beat." This release is the perfect combination of analog electronic sounds and hypnotic melodies that will take you back in time to the pioneers of techno and house. if you like raw drums and analog synths paired with great arrangements, it is time to listen to this release. As remixers , we first picked Berlin based Berghain regular Oliver Deutschmann . Oliver delivers a very percussive reinterpretation spiced by some hypnotic synths . For the second remix , Huge brings some pure techno with a fat analogue bassline Huge delivers the second remix ( BeAsOne , Sci - Tec )

Next up on Hypercolour's tidy vinyl off shoot is Berlin based but Chicago and Detroit indebted producer Murphy Jax. Through releases on Clone Jack For Daze and Tiga's Turbo, Jax has laid out his classically minded house vision in style - something he does again with two originals and two remixes on this Hype debut.

A1 'Acid Rapper' is exactly that - a man raps in the style of old school heroes Jungle Wonz whilst an acid line blips away beneath, scurry in and out of splintered and woody beats and pinging perc. Soft pads emanate from its core throughout to nicely offset the rawness of the claps and the whole thing will have you dancing like it's 1989.

'The Acid Housekeeper' is not so in your face at first, and instead a simple bassline is the main feature of a track on which Jax raps with a retro tinge once again. The 303 lines come in phases rather than continually on this one, with some big claps and smooth hi-hats all seeping in, gradually upping the anti until you're in the midst of another busy dancefloor workout straight from a warehouse party in Illinois you never even went to.

Jax provides us with his own remix, and an edit from Dsb accompanies 'The Acid Housekeeper' to complete the package: first, the deep Detroit mix sounds like its being recorded at the other side of the room instead of loud in the mix. The vocal here is more menacing, and the acid line, too, is more intense, where the Dsb mix very much fits in with the current slo-mo, murky deep house aesthetic. It's littered with weird sounds, snatched vocal yelps and is a delightfully muddled, unordered affair.

Vocals in dance music are notoriously hard, but Jax makes them work and then some...

It's been 10-years of blood, sweat & tears. perhaps that's what fuels their grunge tech energy. Bringing Madd Chaise back to the fore The Oliverwho Factory serve up some spiced up oldies (Rain 5th Wave Remastered & Touch Me Remix) along with the new bonus feature 2morrow. just the way we like it. deep, dirty and raw Detroit House!

This E.P. sets out to honor to Spring wherever and when it may happen. It arrived early for our location the year it was first created."Furuike ya - Ancient pond" was the original title. This is taken from an ancient haiku by Matsuo Basho.The remix for 'Ancient Pond' was created by Jason Drummond (aka DJ Spun) from Rong Music NYC. This rework of the original adds a funky twist to the beats and bass line."Electric Sheep" is taken from the Philip K Dick book including this portion its title. The theme of this track hints on the nature of our creations and the future possibilities. This particular version contains only the 303 melodies/elements of the original, which is set to be released in the next EP to follow.

Marc Romboy's imprint Systematic Recordings may celebrate a lot of jubilees this year!

After just having released the 100th 12" single featuring two new tracks by Stephan Bodzin and Marc himself it's now time for the next picture disc, release numer #101 (what a magical number!) featuring a 10th anniversary 4-tracker produced by Stephan Bodzin, Audiojack, Jimpster and Marc Romboy himself.

Recently acclaimed for his high quality remixes, this time it's John Heckle's turn to be remixed. Back Alley Terminator is a menacing and industrial single, accompanied by three suitably dark reworks.

Sebastian Voigt, cult leader of Lokee Musik and resident record slinger of the illustrious Salon - Zur wilden Renate presents a four track EP on Renate Schallplatten. The release includes two original tracks featuring different vocalists, plus remixes by Permanent Vacation and Good Guy Mikesh. All tracks were produced, tested and approved in Berlin's favourite madhouse, Wilde Renate. Enjoy... In his own words, Sebastian explains: 'These tracks were made shortly after i moved into my new studio right above the main dancefloor at Renate, where I also play regularly. So saying that the Renate vibes were an inspiration for this EP is a bit of an understatement. The overall aim of this EP (if there was any) was to make music that I would like to hear played in the club. I was introduced to Hllywd through a common friend and when he came down for a first session we just started recording while he was improvising over a track I had been working on. Most of the vocals you can hear in 'Chapter One' are from that first take. The piece with Angela came together in a similar fashion. I had been listening to a lot of 80s stuff like Chris and Cosey at that time, which gave me the initial inspiration for the track. When Angela came to the studio we started jamming together, and a first draft of 'Out Of Sight' was finished that same day.

Flowing acidic lava from new Abstract Acid discovery Etcher. 'Polytom Dusk' is a mindtrip of wriggly 303 sequences and spectral synth work, demonstrating that even after 25 years, the familiar squelch can be pushed into new and exciting directions. "In January of 2014, whilst touring Australia on foot, our Pedestrian encountered the mythical 'Drop Bear'. A vicious and rabid descendant of it's cuddly younger brother, the Koala. Until this year such creatures were believed to be an outback myth and have been filed amongst the Loch Ness Monster & The Yeti as nothing more than old wives tales, but Pedestrian's new release is irrefutable evidence that such a beast exists. It is only by narrowly surviving an attack from this deadily animal that such sonic frequencies have been able to become documented.
Following the encounter, Pedestrian dashed (on foot) to a DJ shop in Melbourne where expert 'Drop Bear' hunter, Professor Phil K was to hear about the near fatal meeting with the furry fiend. There and then Professor Phil began to make his notes via the medium of a nearby Korg Volca Bass. Word had spread and anxious reporters were calling the shop looking for leads (or cords) but Phil was peaking, lost in a world of Acid. Finally he had a lead on the creature he'd been hunting for his whole life and by no means was anyone calling up looking for cords going to get in his way.' The first (and perhaps only) release from Talamanca System has been one year in the making. A single track with four interpretations, all at the hands of a new creative connection between International Feel founder Mark Barrott, German scene veteran / Running Back boss Gerd Janson and his production partner Phillip Lauer aka Tuff City Kids. The story begins at a late dinner party at Barrott's Ibizan hideaway in the Summer of 2013, when, in keeping with his 'if you're not using it, give it away' approach to life, Mark gave Gerd his Studio Electronics 'Boomstar 303' synth. Gerd was so determined to repay this lavish gesture that he offered to do a remix of a track Barrott was working on. After plenty of back and forth, one remix became a full collaboration and four different versions later (gotta love German productivity), the Balanzat EP was born.

'Balanzat' is a record that will instantly transport you to a nostalgic dream like state. A lush medley of warm chords, soft rolling percussive strokes, and a retro bassline groove, it's a floating balearic house gem, yet rooted in a classicly groovy US leaning framework. Also included in the package is the twisted Acid Reflux, a stomping Tuff City Kids Remix and an ambient reprise in the Beat Box Mix.

Mark Barrott, only recently out of hiding behind the anonymity that his cult label International Feel afforded him, has revealed himself to be the creative force behind much of the closely followed imprints' back catalogue. With releases under guises such as Parada 88, The Young Gentleman's Adventure Society, EFeel and of course 'Unknown Artist', Barrott is a truly free spirited producer with an A&R eye for rich talent and an ear for real music across many different styles, often falling under the very loose term of Balearic'.
Barrott's debut eponymous album 'Sketches From An Island' was unsurprisingly met with widespread critical acclaim this summer.

The "quintessential DJ's DJ" Gerd Janson coowns the much revered label Running Back and holds a residency at two of Germany's biggest club institutions, Robert Johnson and Panorama Bar. Together with fellow scene heavyweight Phillip Lauer, the duo releases music under the alias Tuff City Kids, remixing the likes of Azari & III, Osborne and Erol Alkan's Future 4 Project as well as releasing on labels such as Osgut Ton offshoot Unterton and Dutch mainstay Delsin.

black vinyl New master by Rashad @ Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin. One of the most wanted release from Donato Dozzy get finally available again! Donato Dozzy's constant quest for deep spectral frequency ingredients and new forms of wavelength fusions has let him to a multi-dimensional state. Dimensions EP is what was recovered from the travel log. Starting off with Gol on the A-axis, the rhythmic and deep floating bass line creates the arena and atmosphere for take-off. The journey into the unknown territories begins to take shape, form and color as the soothing and harmonious pads fill in the empty space. The sound spectrum becomes fluid and infinite. With the addition of Fazah on the B-axis, a new dimension enters the field.

Good job 030303 got their hands on these six tracks by Rolando Simmons as they remind you of where acid got its name from: this is music to trip to. The 303 is abused to the fullest while Simmons adds snares and outlandish melodies to the acid bubbles and bleeps that are never far away. Opener Acid Marriage is a mid-tempo, melancholic soundtrack for ravers who can't be sure of anything except they've lost the plot on the dance floor. The more downbeat second track consists of washed out melodies and deformed vocals and is unlikely to bring you back on planet earth. As you expect from a song entitled 'Home Alone 4', this one's to come down on. Montignac continues on the same tip while adding some quirkiness to. Dim, then, is a true highlight; with its driving beat, crisp hi-hats and playful acid bubbles, the track goes well with the image of a dwarf bouncing around on a horse that's way to big for his own good. The EP's final is Garden Diodes, a forceful upbeat track that pulls you right back into that creepy trip.

Doyle's Lost World. Parada 88 have long disappeared inside the worlds largest recorded disco ball leaving behind just one nugget of dancefloor gold and no note. International
Feel channels these two forces into one very special 12", celebrating 'the feeling' of house and flipside to the labels' downtempo, palm tree roots.

BACKGROUND
* As if International Feel owed us any more this summer, the label gets set to rerelease two stone cold killer club records that came out separately in 2011 with super limited pressings. A rare collectors dream, Bicep recalls hearing 'Adventure Party' for the first time recently at the hands of Horse Meat Disco... I was playing PS1 festival tonight in New York with Horse Meat Disco... man, first time i'd heard 'Adventure Party', the place went OFFF. i'm talking 3000 people. It was very special!

* Currently going for silly money on Discogs both records in their original incarnations caused a riot amongst disco vinyl junkies. Notably an actual riot in a Japanese store when the 30 limited and hand pressed copies of Parada 88 went on sale. And it's not surprising really, 'You're Gonna Miss Me' is a proper Italohouse banger of epic proportions.

* Mark Barrott of International Feel relocated from Uruguay to Ibiza two years ago and has since come out as the 'Unknown artist' behind much of the labels back catalogue. Prior to releasing debut eponymous album 'Sketches From An Island' this June, Barrott has continually produced and released music anonymously as Rocha, Bepu N'Gali, Flights of Fancy, Boys from Patagonia and The Young Gentlemen's Adventure Society. The releases have covered house, Afrobeat and proper downtempo balearic and quickly sold out. Cultish objects of vinyl desire, Young Gentlemen's... only track, 'Adventure Party' now goes on Discogs for £200 so it's with great pleasure that Barrott bestows this glistening new 12" for the real lovers out there, stating "the simple fact is these records have power and I just want more people to hear them".

It's enough to make you want to break out the Vicks. Following in the footsteps of Zomby's Where Were U in 92, Texan producer Matt "Wheez-ie" Mauldin—who debuted with All Werked Up, an EP of ravey juke on Well Rounded Individuals last year—has now turned his hand to British hardcore and acid house, and proves very adept at it.

Despite the frantic pianos, bristling breakbeat and air horns, "Remember the Score" is a contemporary release, not some long lost classic—there's a sheen to the production and the sub bass is too subtle. But who wants slavish recreations It's 2012, man. "Fuck Yer Shit" is a rousing acid burble with a hefty 4/4 kick but it's rather overshadowed by "Choke Hold," which has more than a hint of "Higher State of Consciousness" and even a soupçon of Doug Lazy in all its frantic, growling, TB-303 tweaked glory.

The opening minute of "Desire" proves that juke can trace its lineage back to acid rave—pitching up a female vocal and manically looping it will never go out of fashion it seems. Wheez-ie spends the remainder of the track hopping between juke and hardcore like some aural version of the movie flashback, offering compelling evidence that this rave/juke crossover may just have legs."

The Power of Hydrogen EP collects three of Subspec's finest Acid tracks as the label's debut vinyl release.

Jay Zoney - The Meltdown (Hardfloor Remix) is a storming builder of an Acid track. Hardfloor bring their signature sensibilities to bare on Jay Zoney's original, stripping it down to its basic groove and building it back up with slow-burn tension.
Symplx - Back To Dat starts with the Chciago blueprint for hypnotic, jacking Acid and combines it with the heavy, abstract 808 grooves that Symplx is known for.
Countered - Telegraph is 100% dirty, dirty warehouse Acid. By turns funked up and propulsive, Telegraph delivers a tweaky, blistered acid line over insistent rhythms.

In 2011, Julia Thompson (DJ Black B1tch) gave me a TDK SA90 tape of a spontaneous live jam by Insync recorded in her flat in Forest Hill, South London in March 1991. She had found it in a drawer when clearing out stuff. She gave it to me to listen to simply thinking I might be interested in hearing it. Of course I was, particularly because the date on the tape immediately told me that the session was recorded more than a year before the release of Insync's debut, the seminal Storm on Irdial Discs. In fact Storm was recorded before this session but not released for more than a year after it. The A side of the cassette is a live jam comprising a bass-line/repeating melody and one other four-note motif. Other than that, Lee Purkis rinses a Yamaha SH101, SPX90, Roland 909 drum machine and some delays, to create a 43 minute journey that passes through beautiful elegiac ambient passages to crashing drums that had me nodding my head to the point that I had to force myself to sit still because of the shooting pains in my neck. Insync was accompanied by Paul Chivers aka Ramjack. Ramjack was playing an Ensoniq Mirage containing samples of himself playing various percussion instruments. I listened a few times to see if there were four 7+ minute sections that could be released as an ep. I thought there were, and here they are. Lee Purkis gave his permission for Third Ear to release the cuts, and the whole jam (available as 3eep201409). Next I contacted Stefan Betke at Scape Mastering to ask if he would listen to the tape to assess whether he could create a master that would sound good enough on a big sound system. Together we decided that he could. The sound quality of these cuts is a testament to Lee Perkis' sound engineering and to Stefan Betke's mastering. Judge for yourself. Guy McCreery.

It's always a treat here at Circus Company to be able to shed the light on a lesser known talent. After all, it's a philosophy we have built the label on, but there's no denying we need to have that personal connection with the artists whose music we release. In the case of San Francisco act Moniker, our own dear Dave Aju has a previous history with Kenneth Scott from the duo, having lent some vocals to his 2009 jam 'What Do I Do' So it is that we come to release this, the first fully fledged vinyl offering from Scott and his studio partner Emilio Orlandi after years spent treating Californian crowds to their live, hardware-driven sound. The machines definitely rule the roost in the world of Moniker, but unlike so much of the current obsession with analogue noise and the lo-fi aesthetic, Scott and Orlandi instead coax heartfelt emotion and hand-crafted grooves from an array of beat boxes and synthesisers without making any self-conscious moves to demonstrate how .undigita' they are. Instead, the music takes priority, coming forth in soothing waves of harmonious chords, captivating leads and understated drums that speak volumes for simplicity and soul within deep house. The live aspect of Moniker's mission undoubtedly shines through, manifesting itself in smart switch-ups and breakdowns, impulsive edits and subtle variations that can only result from an on-the-fly jam. Mainly though, this is an exercise in satisfaction, speaking to the same pleasure neurons that would have been tickled the first time you heard Metro Area. In keeping with the warm tones of the original material, Patrice Scott makes for a thoroughly welcome addition to the fold.

P. Lopez's new EP may be called 'The Same Beat'. However, rest assured that this is most definitely a showcase of the Paraguayan urban and tech house producer's chameleonic capabilities. We've seen Lo¬pez on labels such as Dogmatik, Tirk and Rational¬ism just to name a few, and he's even grabbed the attention of Berghain who welcome him for his debut performance there in April. Now he stamps his sonic dexterity all over this five track dark techno AEON EP which includes a Beatport Exclusive. Expect to be led through a progression of styles and emotions, fist pumps and foot taps all in the name of true quality music.

The title track doesn't patronise you with a soft intro¬duction. 'The Same Beat' chucks you unmercifully into dark decadent techno territory. A growling vocal requests 'the same beat' as the track continuously builds.

With 'That's It', Lopez is joined by Matias Espinola. An infectious off-beat drum pattern is joined by a dubby vibe that dances all the way through before a cleverly used vocal sample brings this track to an understated yet satisfying climax.

In '1000', Lopez interweaves a dark sexy bassline with clangs of chords and echoed claps before adding ethereal strings. He layers each sound with deft skill in this gorgeous composition, progressing from dark to light in just under eight minutes.

House Robot is the cooler older brother on this EP with the final track a Beatport Exclusive Dub remix. These tracks display a blend of techno-meets-urban that Lopez conquers so well.
'The Same Beat EP' showcases a stellar collection of cuts that complement each other when played in its entirety, but you can be sure they more than hold their own as dancefloor bombs.

) Simultaneously with the announcement of our 15th Watergate-Compilation, we are also proud to present the number 15 of our vinyl series. The man behind the black wax is Mathias Kaden, whose exclusive track now finds its new home in our label catalogue - with 'Fin' he literally marked the end of his compilation which was released in this year's summer. The track warms up with an aesthetically-stumbling beat pattern, gathers speed attended by rattling hi-hats and suddenly turns into a smooth piano-break. After this grace period the allround-tool unfolds its full force and tramps down on the dancefloor. No less a figure than Josh Wink contributed a remix to this bomb. The Ovum-Records boss interpreted 'Fin' in his habitual freethinker-attitude as a hypnotic-house track in a totally new context. Dopey bleeps wriggle through the drums and leave woozy traces in the audiences' heads.

Nathan Jones is a Dublin born DJ and Producer driven by a passion of atmosphere, dynamics and flow in his sets and productions. He began his love of electronic music at the early age of 14 when a set of second decks and a collection of records fell into his hands.
Nathan arrived on the scene in 2011 with a residency at Dublin's Trainwreck club night and a weekly slot on Play FM, and soon went on to become one of Ireland's foremost techno & house music talents.
Mesmerised by the raw and hypnotic works of the early 90's house, techno and electro records while constantly absorbing new sounds and experiences, he was soon inspired to create an intriguing labyrinth of new sounds of his own. Expect his music and sets to oscillate between dark and heavy rhythms to uplifting, soulful grooves. Despite being relatively new to a congested techno scene, Nathan's productions have already gained support from a host of heavyweight DJs, and his tracks have been picked up by DVS1, Boris, Rødhåd, Ben Sims, Laurent Garnier amongst others.

Light Year came to be in a celestial orb - just slightly to the east of Australia's dance music capital, Sydney.
His first release "Night/Vision" on Sydney powerhouse Bang Gang 12's, gained worldwide praise and support from Soulwax, 2manydj's, Erol Alkan, Tiga and Brodinski. The Night/Vision EP was the first step on a road that has seen him innovate his way from electro through to the rebirth and reimagining of techno and house. His next release "5GIRL5", gained even greater acclaim, with high-rotation on BBC Radio 1, and a thorough working-over by disc jockeys the world over.

Light Year's final release on Bang Gang: "Moderation" made waves within the electronic music scene with Tensnake & Tiga calling it one of their favourite tunes of 2012. Moderation later received remixes courtesy of Paul Woolford's Special Request project and Jori Hulkkonen (of My Favourite Robot and Turbo fame), which resulted in further worldwide acclaim. Light Year himself has turned his own hand to remixing, with impressive reworks for global sensation Tame Impala and indie darlings Flight Facilities.

2013 saw Light Year make a definitive move to the UK to allow himself to settle and hone his craft. The move paid instant dividends as Light Year enjoyed a very successful year in the studio with noteworthy releases on distinguished labels Turbo, Convex Industries and This is Music. Outside the studio, over the last 12 months he has supported a wide variety of some of the worlds most in demand DJ's including Simian Mobile Disco, Damien Lazarus, Tiga, Cosmic TRG, Claude Von Stroke and Skream. Including gigs throughout the UK, Europe and North America such as BPM festival and Holy Ship.

First of 2 ep's coming summer 2014 kicks off with Chimera; a soothing and warm electro cut with soft pads and twinkling lead lines. Aerobatics, originally released on Qube in 2002 slots onto the A2; it meanders into darker territory with saw tooth synth basses, squelchy acid and industrial break beats. Sketch Form on the B-side is a slow tempo house track with chunky distorted rhythms and percussive driven bassline, complemented neatly by swooping square pads and a delicate lead. The Closed Box rounds off the EP with its stripped electronic break beat and late night harmonies. Tip!!

His 'Slap' EP kicks off with Sexism that gently pours warming, loose-fingered Rhodes over a propulsive 4/4 pulse before 'Pastage' rubs tough flecks of acid alongside whetted hats and claps. John Digweed and Nick Muir collide with Psycatron on this pounding Techno fuelled number, harking back to the golden age of acid tinged basslines and urgent, frenetic drums. John and Nick have been very busy recently with their new album project 'Versus' just finished they are set to release the first track from it on Sep 9th with a collaboration with Northern Irelands finest Psycatron called 'Awakenings'. John and Nick have been massive fans of Psycatron for many years and even remixed ' Memories of the Moment " back in 2011. 'Awakenings' is a full on heads down acid techno workout that takes no prisoners on the dance floor and not for the faint hearted. With tough percussion and bubbling acid sounds this track will rock any main stage to the most underground venue and everything in between.

These track's magnitude and direction is best understood when the dislocation-bearing crystal structure is first visualized without the dislocation. In this release structure, once the encompassing track is drawn, the dislocation can be introduced. This dislocation will have the effect of deforming, not only the perfect crystal structure, but the track as well. The direction of the vector depends on the plane of dislocation, which is usually on the closest-packed unit of a low-frequency cell.

CWS (pronounced ''Classicworks'') is the new brainchild of Cardopusher and Nehuen, and their debut release for Barcelona imprint Struments Records presenting their first explosive statement as a formulated duo. Already notorious on the international club circuit for their own innovative productions, as well as the forward thinking curation of their own label (also named Classicworks), ''Untitled EP'' sees them experiment with new forms of production and creation. These four tracks of raw, analogue fetishized techno draw you out of this world and into an acid drenched bunker in outer space, with rhythms and synthesis drawn exclusively from analog gear. The A side showcases two very blunted electronic jams - beginning with the overdriven synth and drum layers of ''Untitled 01'', and rounding off with the tape saturated, funky yet introspective electro jam of ''I''. The B Side sees things set off into hypergear; 'Untitled 02' ignites the dancefloor with its relentless kick and hard, acid-inspired bassline. The EP is topped off beautifully with a remix by Rephlex Records electro superhero and Breakin Records boss DMX Krew, flipping the forward drive of 'Untitled02' into a staccato old skool electro breakdance, drenched in sinister pads and block-rattling orchestra stabs. Maestro is Tigersushi's new gem discovery. Not exactly new actually since they already released a 12inch and a 7inch in 2012, but they now have finished a full length debut LP and are ready to make a lot of noise on a rather quiet French scene when it comes to indie electronic pop with healthy doses of industrial weirdness and dance patterns. They are not exactly french either if you look closely but an unusual French/Scottish duo composed of Mark Kerr (the beast) and Fred Soulard (the machinist). On the flip side, Krikor revives the industrial filthy groove of Maestro's heros Throbbing Gristle and Chris & Cosey. Dark and sexy.

His weekly wednesday night residency 'Untzdag' at Jaeger has become an institution in Oslo, drawing in a crowd of open-minded party freaks. In the last 10 years, he has been caught DJing throughout Scandinavia and the Balkans, from the north to the south of Europe and around the UK getting support from various different heads across the scene, such as techno godfather Juan Atkins and notorious crate-digger Lovefingers.
