Our pause here, between one ocean and the next, may be only a moment in the history of the Universe.

This EP contains 4 tracks inspired by the dance music boom in Europe from the late 80s to early 90s. Luis composed all the tracks using a Novation BassStation, an Akai MPC 2000XL for the drums and sampling, and a Korg M1 for the pads and melodies, using the occasional VST where appropriate.

A1 “Miedo aqui estoy” (Fear, here I am) combines a fast bassline with a hypnotic melody, New Wave influences and shades of electro unite to create an immersive atmosphere. The message ‘no to fear’ being transmitted through optimistic and euphoric pads.

A2 “Neminem Laedere”, inspired by New Wave sounds and rhythm, this track uses bright synths to create audio textures that invite introspection. The hypnotic melodies repeat throughout, enforcing the title's message ‘do no harm’.

B1 “Noches y Amaneceres” Taking the heavy and dark rhythms of new beat and entwining the contagious melodies of Italo provided by bright synths, this fusion gives the track a unique bouncy atmosphere.

B2 “Violines en el barrio”, A track that revolves around a focus on sampling. The breakbeat influence accompanying synths with an 80s flavour and pads providing a deeper texture.

For this 4th release, Bazdesur records welcomes nothing less than its founder, Basile de Suresnes with the EP “Hush Money”, his really first appearance on the label. A collaborative work with the artist The Social Fugazi who was noticed a few months earlier on Frappé records. The two producers deliver a work that is surprising to say the least, as it contrasts with the universe that we knew from them. Here, no glitter or disco ball, no groovy bass line, but a sound made of machines, samples and broken rhythms. We find UK inspirations, Electronica, and a touch of house. A raw coloring totally assumed by the artists and enriched with their French “touch”. We like that. This EP reminds us of the richness and diversity of electronic music, and how good it is to mix styles! Bazdesur records promotes electronic music in the broad sense.

Recut, the elusive DJ and producer whose roots trace back to Southern Italy but whose sound resonates globally, is back with a scorching new release titled "Narcotic Tango". Brazilian producer and DJ Pedro Bertho, now based in France and an active member of Lyon's electronic music scene, releases his first EP on Cracki Records.

With "Mêlé", he attempts to translate what it feels like to be a black, Brazilian man living in France in the 21st century.

A complex patchwork of experiences, accents and heritages that he translates on this powerful record, mixing baile funk, house, electro or acid house, sprinkled with TR-808 and iPhone recordings.

The mix extends to the remixes, with Brazilian underground queen Badsista signing a hard-hitting version of "Jour 4", while Chilean Alejandro Paz tackles the bouncy "3333".

The grand finale is here, but not as you expect. This final vinyl series comes with a twist: we ve added two extra bonus tracks for you to enjoy.

DC Salas returns to his own Higher Hopes imprint with the ‘Pixelated Dream Theory’ EP. A club-centric, no nonsense four tracker, the EP is a collage of in§uences drawn from various strands of dance music knitted together in Salas’ imitable style. Kicking off proceedings we have the aptly named ‘Acid Breathe’, a brooding number punctuated by spooky synth work and a gnarly (you guessed it) acid line that sets the tone for a release loaded with peak time madness.

Next we have the title track ‘Pixelated Dream Theory’, a track that nods back to the rich heritage of the Belgian underground, effortlessly fusing some of the key motifs of New Beat & EBM with a modern perspective. The B-side opens with a secret weapon of Eclair Fi¦'s ‘Blaes’. Named after the street Fuse is situated on, it is crafted with the institution’s dance§oor in mind. A bassbin warping, head spinning affair that’s sure to be a critical part of DJs sets throughout spring and beyond into summer.

For the EP’s ¦nal stanza we have the impressive ‘Phased Dance’. A suitable closer, the track leans slightly more into house than previous offering with §ourishes of progressive, balearic all whilst maintaining the chugging fundamentals of the EP, teasing whats to follow with Salas’ planning a new album for the second half of 2024.

In 2017, Matthias launched his record label named Superluminal, after the astronomic motion observed in 1902 by Jacobus Kapteyn in the ejecta of the nova GK Persei, which had exploded in 1901. His discovery was published in the German journal Astronomische Nachrichten, and received little attention from English-speaking astronomers until many decades later. It appears to travel faster than light, its existence could conceal the most inexplicable mysteries of our universe which gave birth to many of the secrets hidden in the path of mysticism and esotericism.

The label celebrates its 8th Anniversary with Matthias’s first self-released album. The instalment pays homage to the roots and influences the artist has genuinely embraced throughout the years. An immersive composition which summons a line from the sounds of the past to the present, designed meticulously and displayed within gatefold cover.

It certainly manifests a polyhedral vein with some very cerebral, experimental songs among more dancefloor oriented music. The artist delves into a self exploratory leap of synth-driving notes, striking chords of late decaying dub pianos. Certainly a journey that pairs conceptual alignment with more clubby-essential, stripped-down recordings.

The song’s progression evokes atmospheres from the far out worlds, carved into a space-echoing psychedelic trip with sinister tribal-percussive rhythm. The song’s arrangements are simple-complex drum’s versatile patterns, forged and elegantly blended into cinematic soundscapes.

This is a one way ride to the forest of mysteries, from which, there is no return. The time of the day between dusk and night, when it gets dark.

Chat Noir Tools continues to dig into the new scene to put the light on up & coming producers. For our first release of 2023 we're thrilled to introduce parisian DJ & producer Lungo! His Game Over EP is a four-tracker inspired by the retro-gaming universe and crafted for a heavy dancefloor use.

Roma has provided 4 techno-inspired tracks for Mr. Banger's seventh edition.

Upfront business from London’s Baby Rollén. Kaleidoscope EP is a club ready four-tracker exploring a fusion of sounds from the dazzling arps of the title track, to the groovy bassline pulse throughout Nerve Glider.

Hitting hard on the A1 with Psychology which takes equal measure from early Detroit techno and fuses with the steadily popular Baby Rollén blueprint of contrasting pads and melodies. Voodoo combines influences of jungle with euphoric piano hooks, scattering throughout an extended arrangement.

Dance Mutha Records continues with I Wanna B House, recorded between 88-91 by the Chicago master Mike Dunn. I Wanna B House comes with an edit from Johnny Aux (one half of Paranoid London) and another straight up acid track I'm The Houze.

A true outsider on the American dance underground, Mike Simonetti steps up to Slacker with a long-awaited return to his most acidic mode in collaboration with Paris duo CLAAP! The founder of rip-it-up institutions like Italians Do It Better and 2MR, Simonetti is reunited with Sylvain & Santana for a driving trip to the very belly of the club.

Having crafted a now highly sought-after rave artifact in 2016’s ‘Release Your Body To The Best / Slave’, the trio return to wax and digital with precision expertise, freshly pressed to stir up further house trouble. ‘Priest’ pushes Simonetti and Sylvain’s analogue synths to guttural extremes, finding sensual rhythm in tough dissonance and encouraging submission to CLAAP! vocalist S.A.N.T.A.N.A.’s proclamations and predictions, her seductive French accent operating in the grand electroclash tradition.

After the filters have burst into ecstasy, ‘Groove (Acid Crashed)’ focuses it’s energies entirely on the benefit of the dancefloor, turning the screw toward pandemonium with worming, climbing synth lines, dramatic crashes and S.A.N.T.A.N.A.’s timeless invitation; “Let the groove take over you.” Now and forever, with pleasure.

Exarde’s just keep it spinnin’. This time our protagonist was originally born in Transylvania, so he knows something about the dancing vampires you often see at parties. This is confirmed by the fact that his release also contributed a lot to the gothic side of the dancefloor.

MAR.C is obsessed with dark sounds but specifically loves a guitar, acid and weirdly uplifting electro sounds. So, by his words this EP is exactly concentrated on frequencies between these two spectrums. On the remix duty’s we got P.O with his interpretation which gives an even more unique vibe as a groover for the closing scene.

Funkyjaws Music has decided to offer up its first solo EP here having decided to make the previous four volumes of its Let's Dance series various artists collections. JKriv gets the nod here and doesn't disappoint. First up is the leggy mid-tempo disco of 'Share The Night' with its chattery Chicago house style drums and rasping bass. 'Big Chief' is a brilliant mid-tempo jumble of percussion, toms, hits, grinding bass and lazy kicks and 'Let's Do It Right' then takes off on nice clean piano house grooves full of uplifting joy. This ain't from Chicago. But it could well be. The mysterious production duo operating under the sonic nom de guerre CHIHUAHUA ON ACID works the box like jack never left the dancefloor, fully indulging in a classic, ever so positive and ecstatic AcidHouse vibe that makes us feel like it still is 1988. This time Best Record Italy presents an Italo masterpiece from 1983 produced by the duo : Francesco Paolini (Pasta DJ) and Alessandro Novaga that became a massive dancefloor classic in Chicago House with the likes of the "Hot Mix 5" on cult radio station WMBX and regularly played by the legendary Ron Hardy at the infamous Muzic Box. It was very influential at it's time on the early Chicago house and acid movement.

The last time we heard from JEX, he was cruising dance floors with his 2015 slapper "Studio E" on Running Back. Three years later, JEX returns with "Bad Timin' Vol. 1," a four-tracker made for working DJs on the newly christened Bad Timin' label. Ranging from the scorched-earth acid of "Zone Phased" to the melancholic deep of "FEE WIFI," the EP has something for everyone--well, everyone who likes hanging out at dance clubs, that is!

We finally are ready to present to you the second part of the first release of our Extrasensorial Catalog. We bring you some of the best from the South American electronic scene.
For C1, we are thrilled to have a good friend of the house, Pedro d´Alessandro, who steps on board with an introspective experimental dubby approach that perfectly reflects his experience as a producer. On C2, we welcome Bok-p, this uprising Uruguayan duo brings us some pure heat straight from Montevideo, with an outstanding and refreshing track that explores 90´s breaks, techno and house with a touch of that well known Uruguayan flavor.

For D1, we have a massive bomb from one of the top producers of the moment, none else than JUAAN, the Argentinean producer shared with us a real peak time bomb that will make everyone shout wherever/whenever you drop this, be it in the club, the after, or a good old house party.
Finally, for D2, we bring you a deep and hypnotic track by Camilo Gil & One + 1, with lots of minimal influences filled with bouncy percs and dreamy pads, suitable for any time and moment.

Cymatix presents their third release, a V/A compilation featuring emerging artists like Samuel Jabba, Torrent, and Edo Ecker. The album explores dark, atmospheric sounds, highlighting the label’s focus on creativity and collaboration. We're thrilled to welcome Shimpei Watanabe to the label as we continue to build on the Tokyo-Cologne connection. Bringing his versatile talent from Tokyo, he delivers three fresh tracks. This limited vinyl release opens with No Cab Around Here an acid piece in true 303 style, enhanced by deep dub chords. A2 highlights Shimpei Watanabe's signature funky basslines and groovy drums, creating a lively atmosphere. On the flip, B1 introduces a smoother, Chicago-style groove adding a refreshing change of pace. The record’s finale features an energetic remix by Cologne's own Stikdorn - an analog dub techno jam that seamlessly aligns with the label's early releases.

At the very coalface of the UK rave/breakbeat/techno/call it what you like scene since the 1990s, Jerome Hill is something of a hidden treasure amongst the plethora of DJs and producers to have dropped both bangers and bloopers over the ensuing three decades. With minimum of fuss and fanfare, Hill has steered record labels like Super Rhythm Trax, Don’t, Fat Hop and Hornsey Hardcore to revered acclaim, as well as firing out a consistent stream of releases for imprints such as Matthew Herbert’s Accidental Jr, Exalt Records, and I Love Acid, to name but a few.

Surprisingly, ‘Flow Mechanics’ is Hill’s debut album after a production career that kicked off in 1998 as one half of Groove Asylum. And its collection of unabashed acid and rave bangers is a perfect fit for the Hypercolour label, whose personnel over the last few years has included Luke Vibert, DMX Krew, Shelley Parker and Gary Gritness. Tracks produced directly for club play; the album features 8 cuts destined to fit in cross-genre sets.

With pumping electro cuts such as ‘Deafening Lull’ and ‘Knob Jitter’, four to the floor acid stompers like ‘Walk The Plank’, the mutant garage of ‘Brought Up Badly’ and the house groover ‘Stax Had The Funk’, ‘Flow Mechanics’ is a joyous romp through rave’s sound palette, replete with playful samples and skits (featured on the vinyl LP version), and a mischievous demeanour that affords the listener an lively album that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

For the next edition under the number twenty-two we have Peruvian mastermind Rufo, coming up to steer the spaceship into the right direction as he always does. Currently based in Barcelona being the resident of the legendary project Mad Radio that is expanding rapidly with the clear vision of electronic underground music. Therefore, our artist has learnt and studied the ancient methods of best of the best. The extend play is called chronicles of past millennium and explores the sound of the past with a modern twist on it. It’s sounds splendidly fresh now and with full confidence could be said it will sound fresh in all the upcoming future millenniums. The record features a vast range of sounds which shows the maestro is very versatile at the executing stunning audio puzzle pieces that are ready to blast the dancefloors of big clubs, illegal raves or the afterparties all over the globe.

Super Rhythm Trax kicks off 2025 with a really special project. It’s a split release between Yuri Suzuki and Pearl River Sound. They’ve both contributed outstanding tracks that go way beyond the normal ‘Acid’ cliches.

Yuri’s are extra deep and twisted, drenched in a foreboding atmosphere that conjures images of strobe lit smoke filled basements with people lost in the music while Pearl River Sound provides two of the most quirky breakbeat Acid excursions you’ll ever hear, full of personality and instantly loveable.
The sleeves have been individually hand stencilled with spray paint in a variety of colours so no two are the same.

This release is limited to 200 copies for the world so don’t sleep and grab a truly one off piece of vinyl.

The Brazilian-Serbian duo Duc In Altum returns to Rhizome following their 2020 digital mini-album As Above So Below. Our fifth vinyl EP on the label, Midnight Sun, finds Duc In Altum experimenting with dance floor acid rhythms and breakbeat-house grooves. The relentless remixes come from two other music friends, the Romanian icons Priku and Sepp.

“Midnight Sun” demonstrates the duo's acidy reflexes. Clever chords both center and accent the melody. The 303 line expands into the seething bass beneath as the track progresses into a deep dance floor burner.

Priku remixes “Midnight Sun” with his signature groovy, breezy style. Light chords drift above transformed 303, now a monster tech house bassline. The sun beckons.

The second side begins with “Yanomamis” and a journey through the inner worlds of Duc In Altum. The track begins with winding pads, effects, and an initial silvery breakbeat. The center of the track shifts perspectives to unveil a dreamy house groove before the breakbeat returns to call us back.

A remix of “Yanomamis”by Sepp closes out the record as the dance floor psychic yet again crafts the perfect rolling groove. It's a fitting Sunwaves-savvy party track and only gets better each time that glorious groove breaks the tension.

Tobias' aktuelles Album - A Series Of Shocks' ist durch die vielseitigen Tracks und deren puristischen Sound geprägt. Der Remix von Mathew Jonson & The Mole erstreckt sich über die gesamte A Seite der 12'. Der Track wird über neun Minuten aufgebaut. Durch die langsam ansteigende Percussions und den Mix der Hi Hats findet der Remix seinen Spannungsbogen. Der Trademark Sound von Tobias. ergänzt diese lange Exkursion und ein völlig neues Stück entsteht. Die Wurzeln von - If' sind nur zu erahnen, jedoch ist der Remix ein ausgezeichneter Anhang zum Album.
- Cursor Item Only' bekommt eine neue Richtung von Peter Van Hoesen aufgedrückt, der schon auf der Berghain 05 Mix CD von Marcel Fengler ein atemberaubendes Intro beisteuerte. Sein Remix für - Cursor Item Only' ist ein gebrochener Techno groove mit interessanten Glocken Strukturen, die sich in Kombination der geschickt eingesetzten Effekten, wie eine Schraube im Break des Tracks zudrehen, um im nächsten Moment wieder in die Ausgangsposition zu fallen.

Different Ways inaugurates the limited series with Astral Body, Italian artist which is back after 25 years of hiatus!

DIWALTD01 features two old gems, Psychasthenia and Rama city, released back in 1994 on Disturbance, one of the most influential Italians labels, run by Ivan Iusco. In addition there will be also N'ra and Otentetecot, two unreleased tracks showcasing Astral Body's sound at its best.

A perfect mix of Techno, House and Trance from the 90's, but still contemporary. You can't miss it!

The follow-up to the first Acid Sampler is now in the hands of a single artist. Space Dimension Controller does Running Back the honor to leave his fingerprints on the (usually) silver box - and it’s a match made in heaven. The Irish man’s music is mostly a nod to the subtle and more delicate ramifications of electronic music. His Acid Sampler is no exception. Most of the EP presents itself as an ode to the brain dance vibe of acid house rooted music. While leaving out the harder and faster styles of the genre, SDC manages to pour his heart and soul as a producer into these four charming tracks.

Kosmische Conga works as the leader of the pack and pirouettes with memorable hooks, synthesizer swells and descant acid lines. Echopet introverts the whole concept, while Minehead peaks with it. Named after the seaside town that harbored the Bloc Weekend festival, its a warp-free romantic reflex of the brain dance vibe – or a heartfelt love song for circuits. Fresh from beasting the end-of-year charts with her 'I Miss Your Love' remix project, Ghost Assembly, aka Manchester DJ and writer Abigail Ward, is back with a double A-side: RESIST! / I Keep on Making the Same Mistake.

Laid down quickly and angrily after attending a demo in Manchester city centre, RESIST! aims to capture the galvanising spirit of protest and put it on wax.
A 111bpm acid chugger that will leave dancefloors of an ALFOS or Optimo persuasion begging for more, this is uncompromising machine funk at its crudest.
Duelling 303s twist around each other whilst a taut, snaking 707 groove underpins unexpected blasts of Arabic rhythm, almost as if DJ Pierre had remixed 'Get UR Freak On', relocating it to the Middle East.
As a stuttering Harper Hay vocal sample urges us to RESIST!, the track climaxes with an ice-cold acid house string coda banged out on a disobedient synth. Please note: the sub on this record may trouble your duodenum.

RESIST! (Utter Kunt Mix)
The Utter Kunt mix is a sparse and daring Sleng Teng-inspired avant-dub affair strictly for discerning dancefloors only. Improbably combining hints of the Mission Impossible theme, Les Negresses Vertes' 'Zobi La Mouche' and the rough-hewn sampling of 'Duck Rock', this is a radiant obstacle in the path of the obvious. Warning: collectors of On-U, EBM and New Beat could experience a spate of nocturnal emissions upon purchasing this record.

The A-side closes with a BONUS BEATS version of the Utter Kunt Mix: a must-have DJ tool.

I KEEP ON MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE
Picking up the pace to 120, 'I Keep on Making the Same Mistake' sees Ghost Assembly returning to her string-drenched sad banger comfort zone, pairing a chilly breakbeat with a bass riff reminiscent of Joey Beltram having a gut-wrenching cry wank. Keening vocals supplied by Hazel Grove are chopped up, tormented and eventually hurled down a K-hole as the strings build and the drama escalates.
When the credits roll on this cinematic masterpiece we hear a wistful French lesbian talking about 'borrowed bliss'.

A future comedown classic; also sounds good slowed down to 33rpm.

The E.P. signs off with a stunning string-a-pella that will linger long after the needle hits the run-out groove.

Launching their new collaborative dancefloor release series, the Bangkok-based duo Chalo and Vell, with support from MetalMetal, proudly presents "Made From Moss." Inspired by the simple, flowerless plants, the EP and release series present a collection of simple and driven club-focused rollers, ideal for any dancefloor.
The lead track, "The Man With No Teeth," opens with a growling bassline and cracking hi-hats throughout, balanced with dynamic vocals that pop and sizzle throughout the many drops, sure to have dancers moving. Followed by "Wrong Portal," Chalo expertly crafts a driving acid bassline and simple yet flowing synths throughout, keeping the pulse and creating a dynamic sense of groove. The B-Side opens with "MarinExp (Club edit)," a track featuring Thai musician MetalMetal. The track cuts with breakbeats and tambourines while keeping Chalo's unmistakable driving kicks and cuts. Emerging from the depths of the Minneapolis underground scene, The Worm is one of the best underground techno duos in the US, composed of midwest stalwarts Naughty Wood and Heckadecimal. Naughty Wood brings decades of experience, including collaborations on Traxx’s esteemed Chicago imprint Nation. The machine wizard known as Hecka- decimal boasts a deep catalog with releases spanning Always Human Tapes and Great Circles. In early 2016, the mysteri- ous tape-duplicator Ryan Wurst received some demos, which soon became The Worm, a very rare and limited cassette on Always Human Tapes. In April of that year, The Worm flew to Denver to perform live at a basement rave co-hosted by Deep Club and Always Human Tapes, at which Traxx also delivered a DJ set. The Worm’s sound was minted in Ryan Scannura’s brain.

Fast forward 8 years, and Ryan S. saw it time for two absolutely mental tracks from the AHT cassette to finally be pressed to wax, together with two other cuts. The A-side kicks off with “12 Days Of Squirm,” a deep, pulsating acid earworm that builds in intensity. “LISA” could almost be an outtake from a lost Nation session. The tune melds haunting melodies with a demented beat, sure to scare off most casual diggers. Deep Club presents two new-old tracks on side B. “808 Verb Talk” is a slimy, wiggly mix in the vein of 12 Days. Finally, “Pytch1” brings the energy down in an extended, slow-burning closer. Eight years and two Ryans later, this collection is finally ready for turntables in living rooms and foggy basements around the world. Only for the most devoted midwest techno warriors!

Intrinsic Rhythm is happy to announce a new EP "Is This The End" by label owner and Irish artist Tr One.

The title takes influence on the struggle provided by modern day electronic music and the thoughts on continuing and this EP tries to provide solace in the love and richness that techno and house sounds particularly deeper strains can provide.

The record kicks off with "Conversion" which is an ode to higher tempo Detroit and European techno by working an uplifting string pattern alongside an offbeat loop and MPC workout.

Next up is "Is This Love" where a whimsical vocal sample is built around an acid and bass undercurrent combined with an emotional chord structure.

Starting off the B side is "Sunrise On Juliet" which is an electro and ghettotech influenced rhodes driven house track which takes the listener on a funk driven journey.

Next is "Steroid" where classic Detroit sounds meets UK influenced house music driven by a hypnotic string and bass pattern.

Finally "Phone Voice" finishes the EP with a murky and hypnotic 909 driven house track which aims to transport the listener to a dream like state.

Starting things off on the A side is Los Angeles duo Warehouse Preservation Society with a chunky bass heavy breakbeat-ish slammer called Fugitive Funk. Hypnotic west coast music at its finest. THC is stoked to welcome Londons Flash Mitra to the label. Flash's debut track is a psychedelic acid house gem perfect for those looking for something moody, dreamy and percussive. This jam will be welcomed on dance floors worldwide. Flip to the B side with THC stalwart Praus unleashing another low slung acid chugger. Magnetism creeps along working its way into your psyche with its warped and unusual vocal snippets and percussive rhythms topped with a healthy dose of 303. Big room cosmica muziks! Track 2 on the B finds label head Space Ace and Seattle's Sherman C of Selector records together bringing to light a buried acid monster titled Just a dream. Crisp percussion underlies a burly acid baseline with more 303 with a breakdown that will bring the floor to a peak. Not for the faint of heart. Lastly Warehouse Preservation rounds out the VA with a filthy dub of Fugitive Funk with a bass line that will rumble the floor and percussion that is so satisfying you will be looping it throughout your set. Bells, congas and claps all reverberating and panning for that head candy you won't be able to get out of your head.

The label has a simple mantra; no frills club cuts designed for the dancefloor. For their second outing, Demi Riquísimo has enlisted Kiosk Radio and Fuse Brussels resident DC Salas to fulfill the brief, via the ‘Tio’ EP.

A DJ noted for his versatility with his sets effortlessly melding a plethora of styles from house, techno and trance to disco & new beat. This broad range of influences is on full display on the buttons as DC Salas shows his range as a producer right across the ‘Tio’ EP.

The EP kicks off with the emotive title track ‘Tio’. DC explains the context:

“It features the voice of my godfather (my dad’s uncle, who was like a brother to him) who passed away unexpectedly some months ago. We found a video of him (he hated being filmed) one week after he passed away, with a wonderful talk he did on his birthday last year. The vocal is an extract of this video.”

Up next is 'Fearless Is More', a track where DC’s production dexterity comes to the fore. The track combines elements of 90’s trance, with a jackin’ bass line and vocal samples that evoke images of the early Amnesia Ibiza golden era.

The B-side opens with 'Never Ending Story', another track which speaks to Salas’ vast array of influences with a synth topline sounding like it was straight out of the Ancienne Belgique. 'A Departure' chugs along menacingly with an acid house flourish in its second stanza, for some peak time perfection. The EP is completed with 'Slowtospeed', which juxtaposes melancholic pads with progressive synths and a driving to bass to make for an extremely well rounded first outing for DC Salas on the burgeoning imprint.

The EP delves into spooky-dooky electro that squelches along with broken soles, warm breaky-bombastic fun and angular electro haus that evokes mid 2000s fringe attitudes. All in all it is UK music at its very best, a melange of styles mashed together tightly under the pressure cooker environment of Britannia's broken promises. There's even a bonus remix from Klasse Wrecks' regular Omega III who takes the original track on a joyride along the M62 in his broken Vauxhall Astra.

Either Recordings welcomes Icelandic artist Hjalti onto its roster with the Skarðsheiði EP, accompanied by a remix from Thor under his Sanasol guise.

Jamie Clarke’s Either Recordings has moved from strength to strength since its inception back in 2020, acting predominantly as a home for the label bosses own music while also welcoming remixes from the likes of Barac, Silverlining and Ryan Crosson, plus original material from Jay Tripwire and now, Hjalti.

Title-track ‘Skarðsheiði’ opens, an eight minute dynamic excursion through delicately intertwined synth melodies, bass grooves and expansive effects before ‘One Small Step’ shifts gears into a more loop-led territory, fusing organic percussion with classic stab sequences, airy chord melodies and weighty subs.

Icelandic icon of Dub Techno Thor then steps up under his Sanasol alias to open the flip side, reworking ‘Skarðsheiði’ with their unique twist on the ‘Found Space Mix’, extracting fragments of the original and shaping it into something deep and atmospheric whilst still retaining a sturdy dance floor focused foundation. ‘Kjölur’ then concludes the EP, embracing minimalistic rhythms with cinematic electronica textures and classic stab sequences throughout.
