House Vinyl New Releases - News

Edits are not a crime

Melbourne digger and edit master Hysteric joins the Pleasure of Love fam with this 4 track EP, Pleasure of Edits 08: Kitchen Appliances. With releases on Public Possession, Lisbon’s Ostra Discos, Centre Neptune, and his own italo influenced Mothball record label, Hysteric delivers an adventurous Pleasure of Love 12 Inch that continues to reward on repeated listens. 'Chrome Plated Broiler' kicks things off and lives up to the name, a bouncy late 80s new beat dance floor heater. Another highlight is 'Automatic Can Opener,' a post-disco tinged, xylophone led groover that highlights a cheeky vocal re-sampling bit to great effect. Hysteric and Pleasure of Love make for a good pairing on this cosmic edit twelve.

Disco deliverance done right, the king Mr K. drops the 6th instalment of his buy-on-sight, limited edit series. Retouched and retweaked gold, destined to fire those synapses into the stratosphere whichever side you draw for.

2 dance§oormelter on limited handstamped black vinyl!

We're told that the Hot Pot label has been specially resurrected to put out these jams from the one and only former Slum Village DJ, Mahogany Music artist, hip-hop head and house don that is Dez Andres. They are some of the edits and reworks he has been playing out on the circuit in his Detroit hometown and they get pressed up nice and loud here on fresh wax. First up he reworks a stone-cold classic with a distinctive Latin house twang while on the flip, his signature boom-bap drum work defines another killer groove. Super stuff as ever from the man.

Gooey Editz #3

Minimal X is a new sublabel of Kapture, containing the latest ideas regarding the historically proven high quality music of the past.

MNMLX01 is the first installment that will come out soon and which contains two very different approaches, one for each side of the story

After opening the dimension door via a hypnagogic contribution to recent Ruf Kutz comp 'Expansion Pack 2: Textures' and offering a sonic submersion into his 'Deep Waters Mixtape', Inner Glow takes the controls for RK18, treating the DJs and dancers to a high grade house triptych.

For the uninitiated, the man behind the music is a lifelong friend from Ruf Dug's Sydney sojourn, when the two would host mushroom squat parties with the rest of the "Bodega Clan", and who helped mastermind the seminal Paradise Lost warehouse parties. Virtuously patient, the Australian spent the years since perfecting his craft, maxing out the XP and emerging as his evolved form, Inner Glow.

On the A-side, Inner Glow comes through with the two clubbiest cuts from the 'Deep Waters' cassette, unmixed, mastered loud and exclusive to vinyl. Already a firm favourite with Bradley Zero 'Party People' pulses on the A1, its one note bassline and taut pads keeping tension at a maximum. At the top of the frequency band sparse stabs and nuanced percussion dance in tandem, while the deft use of E-Smoove and First Choice acapellas provide an underground intertext Sprinkles would be proud of.

'Call Me' coaxes us into the shadow realm with the lure of Lynchian dialogue, slowly taking shape as a dub techno phantom. It's a heads down affair as urgent subs push against the mist of static, until a rising, wriggling keyboard riff unwinds waists with a hint of UKG exuberance.
Inner Glow brings the beatific on the B-side's 'Love Has No Age', combining rippling keys and MK vocal chops over waves of hiss and haze.
The percussion combines classic house swing with the tinny hats of electro, keeping perfect time as the soulful vocals swell into the sublime.

Over the last twelve months Ruffy's rocked the spot from Pikes to Houghton with these heaters, and now he's sharing them with you.

Abel's hallowed 'Aegean Sea' edit gets a much needed reprint - this time for premium edit resource, Surfing In Kansas. As buzzy as it ever was, this is an essential addition for this summer's record bag.
A quite different flavour on the flipside with a cunningly chopped up section from a lost late night classic. Man has the golden touch. TIP!

JE series is back on BUD Records with 2 huge edits as usual from our man Jellyfish...a must have record for your bag!

3 more peak-time, good grooves from Semi-Skimmed !!.

Limited hand-stamped pressing !!

This catchy edit brings George Michael's 1987 cult ballad
"father ¦gure" on the dance §oor. With its rough 909 kick and
the straight arrangement leads the track right into the soulful
glossy break of the original and switches back to
underground house. Dexterous mixture that merges rather
contrasting elements of two musical decades with
appropriate respect to the masterpiece of one of the former
giants of mainstream pop. De¦nitley a must have including
savety DJ douple copy on the §ip!

After the big success of our first EDIT SERIES with German chief DELFONIC, Nómada Records feels like doing a new edit series in order to keep paying a homage to the roots of HOUSE MUSIC. Nómada Records joins forces again with Marcus Lindner a.k.a DELFONIC to present DELFONIC EDITS Pt. II where genres such as Disco, Afro, Funk, and Boogie are the strong dish. As we know DELFONIC has created and managed plenty of labels and released music on well known labels such as Money $ex Records, Oye Records and Toy Tonics.

DELFONIC EDITS is a four track EP which opens with “Don’t Stop Dancing” a 70’s fresh dance track with a infectious pecussion, strong strings, warm synths and powerful vocals followed by “Into The Stars” a brazilian bombshell where boogie and funk match perfectly. Don’t just stand there, let’s get to it.
Strike a pose, there’s nothing to it.

Palm trees, Pina Colada’s and crystal-clear seas – Austin Ato comes through with that beachside business for Pantai People, offering up a four track edit EP of summer sun, bottled up, ready and waiting to be popped.

'Freed From Desire' is Nat Tate's cover of a dance anthem featuring Waldo's Gift and Yolanda Quartey (AKA Yola, fresh from playing Sister Rosetta in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis movie), reworked into future funk classic by Boca 45. Guitar riffs and rolling beats dance alongside one hell of a vocal performance from Yolanda. Delivering an interpretation with such gravitas that it feels like it could actually be the original. Over on the flip, 'Suki's Revenge PT 2' is a musical masterclass, from the haunting horn hooks to organ riffs and hip-hop beats, this is a classic Boca 45 style party rocker. A worthy addition to the much loved 'Bombs' series from Bombstrikes. Both tracks feature on upcoming compilation – Funk N' Beats. Vol 10 (Curated by Boca 45).

Philly’s Universal Cave crew have been putting out top notch edits and mixes on their own imprint for nearly a decade, including the beloved Soft Rock for Hard Times series.

For the first time, Universal Cave teams up with another label, Pleasure of Love, for a release of reworks, delivering 4 stitched up dance floor heaters. Variety pack of choice cuts here - reggae proto house, lo-fi 80s digi funk, peak-time piano charged house de salsa, and driving atmospheric italo. All expertly re-rubbed, from the vaults of the Universal Cave.

Inter-dimensional edits traveling through space and time. Unknown artist x limited press.

Five track new killer EP featuring Lost Balearic classics-not-classics, deep down rare boogie, gospel & soul and places beyond! Very tastefully edited & re-mastered to seduce you into merriment and dance 'Everything you’re about to hear is true'. Limited copies don't sleep on this one!

After their debut release in September 2020, Tunesday
Recordings are back with their second installment, marking
the reissue of two boogie funk originals from 1984 by the
German band Trust. Particularly known for their song "It's Not
Over", the band also recorded two wonderfully brazilianin§uenced songs dubbed "Eu Melembro" and "Maracatu" which were also released on their LP "Bow Making". Moving between Funk, Boogie, Jazz and Latin, the two songs remain a trademark for the band's versatile orientation at that time.

Perfectly suited for the task, Joutro Mundo, who is known for
releases on Hello Sailor & Barefoot Beats among others, took
on the originals to cut down his very own interpretations with
modern dance§oors in mind. Many thanks to Trust for
making this reissue possible and many thanks to Dayeon
Auh for putting the vibe into the artwork

Absolutely killer cover of New Order's most seminal track, 'Blue Monday', from Adesse Versions - complete with a dubbed out, acid infused mix on the flip.

Approved by the band themselves, this is set to be one of the summer’s biggest anthems and a surefire hit across the festival circuit!

We’re celebrating our 10th Editz release with another astonishing EP of heavy reworks from Joe Cleen.

A1 is straight up disco burning energy making us wish we could get onto a dance floor immediately.

A2 is a twinkling clav & percussion bomb brimming with fun time brass sections.

B1 Beefs up the beats with this wonky slice of Nigerian disco funk and B2 takes us home with a breezy summer time guitar trip guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

For their first VA outing Razor-N-Tape have assembled the big guns for an all-exclusive comp. This vinyl sampler features 4 standout tracks from the compilation, and boasts an all-original tracklist by a roster of luminaries from the RNT family - past, present, and future.

It’s party time on the A side, with Dimitri from Paris & DJ Rocca teaming up for Days of A Better Paradise, a stomping, piano-driven, classic house belter. Saucy Lady takes us straight to the disco with Passport to My Love, a soulful, vocal boogie-funk journey into the cosmos.

The B Side features two lower-tempo house jams by RNT artists Misiu & Clive From Accounts. Love Me Do turns a classic melody into a spooky late night anthem, while It’s Not That I Don’t Care brings jazz riffs & bouncy baselines to the downtempo slow-burner.

No letting their foot off the gas, 'Tasty Recordings' power out into edit hyperspace with four delicious offerings, combining familiar flavours with a distinct new twang.

Octoposse delve deep in the disco funk vaults once again, bringing two previously unreleased 7” versions of The Fatback Band’s stone-cold classic to the surface. Featured from the original 1975 session recordings, the drum-break 45 version of ’Do The Bus Stop’ coupled with the exclusive instrumental mix. A top choice pick amongst this seasons soul-funk-disco anthems on 45.

Well, we know absolutely nothing about this brand new edits label, nor the artist behind it, so in wonderfully cliched fashion, the music is left to do the talking. What we do know is that Harri Pierson must have a penchant for classic house because that's the vibe of the A-side 'Bananas'. It has retro-future vibes, a pitched-up rave vocal, and lively piano chords over shiny metallic drums. It's a real bouncer with hints of Italo madness, then 'Funk Rail' is a more worldly affair with Indian-sounding melodies, rich layers of instrumental funk and jostling, loose-limbed drums. What a scorcher.

2nd dirty Edit Sound Experience release on the New LTJ's label "Hot Groovy Edits.

Strictly Edits for Dj, more Funky, better life.. Vinyl Only.

It's a sizzling seven up for Moiss Music here as they draw together four different artists to offer up one cut each for this new various artists collection.

Boogietraxx goes heavy on the filter vibes on 'S N T' which is French touch disco-house of the highest order. Kellit's 'Pryscoks Sockin Socks' is all about sultry sax lines and loose-limbed disco house beats while C Da Afro gets heads up with the streaming sunshine synths of 'Don't Be Quiet.' Groovemasta shut down with the funky Afro-disco stylings of 'Gonna Make U Rock.'

Four slices of deep house with a distinctly laid back, R&B flavour to them. 'Brandii' kicks us off in suitably relaxed manner, gorgeous harmonies and female and male voices adding to the irresistible groove and subtle layer of strings. 'Black Sunshine' is faster but retains the light touch approach, whereas 'Chuckii' is built around a sturdier four-to-the-floor kick, although the vocal content is still silky smooth. Closing track 'No!' is woozier and more dreamlike, with almost p-funk synth lines, though the Earl's arrangement leaves the percussive undercarriage that carries the track plenty of room to thrive in too.
