Nathan Micay - Schvitz Edits 003

Schvitz Edits returns for its third release with two of the most sought after edits of the last year. Having hit the jackpot with contributions from his friends on 002, Nathan Micay returns to provide the heat with two smashers that have been lighting it up in mixes and sets from OR:LA, Roi Perez and many others.

On Side-A we get an unexpectedly heavy spin on ‘Koi Jaye To Le Aaye’ from the film Ghatak. Side-B finally sees the release of Micay’s tranced out take on cult outfit Cam Am Des Puig. After an appearance in Avalon Emerson’s BBC R1 Essential Mix last year, this is finally available for everyone. Act fast as always. No re-press.

To celebrate the third release, 100% of proceeds will be going to the Humsafar Trust, India’s largest LGTBQ advocacy organization!

Delmar - Delmar Mediterraneo

Calafici Records tries to give you the best, and we are sure that new EP will not disappointed you. We are very proud to put out 2 stunning edits made by Delmar Mediterraneo our favorite Sicilian artist.
Just a quick description of the tracks, 'Ritmo que Mata' is... as you can imagine, a Disco-Psychedelic Latin track clearly dedicated to the label. 'Flore De Canela ' comes from a vocal of Peruvian folklore.

Braga Circuit Vs XXXY - Sour Edits Vol. 3

After Marcin Krupa's jazz laden pumpers on Sour Edits Vol 2, Sour Edits is back with a four-tracker featuring the first vinyl release from emerging talent Braga Circuit alongside label boss xxxy.

The A1 is the collaboration between the two artists 'take you there'. Slamming drums, melancholic vocals and soaring soul samples to bring a tear to the eye and a pump to the fist

A2 'one I got' is a straight up romantic soul swinger from the boy wonder on his own, craftily chopped samples sit alongside swinging drums to get any good dancefloor moving

B1 'I won't, I never' sees xxxy mixing Baltimore breaks with romantic vocals and soaring strings for another tears on the dancefloor moment.

B2 'What you do to me' closes out the record with a slap bass fest that builds and builds.......

Bill Brown & The Soul Injection - Time after Time/inst

Bill Brown and Al Hall jr met around 1971, they were both in south central L.A and shared the same apartment building, also in the same building was Doug Carn and brownstone singer billy Wilson.
These studio sessions were don't at Paramount studios Hollywood where Al Hall jr was working for producer Art Smith a&c music.
The main distributor for A&C was Accent records. So the Soul Injections very first single "Stay off the moon" was released via Accent, as was Bill Browns "Bip Bam" The group wasn't that pleased with how Accent handle the releases so Bill took it upon himself to set up his own label called Brownstone records. Many musicians were called in for studio sessions these included
Doug Carn, organ; Kirk Lightsey, keyboards; Mel Bolton,
guitars; Mel Lee, drums; Al Hall jr (trombones), Willaim 'Bill'Henderson strings.
The label was met with some confrontation from other Hollywood labels and many of the Brownstone releases were told not to hit the shops by Mafia run labels. Later around 1975 Brownstone released a track by Everyday people feat Alexis "world full of people"....A now cult soul 45 ....But wait, we at Super disco edits have unearthed the original tapes with the very first incarnation of that song and music, different lyric content and sung by Bill Brown. Not just this you get the instrumental on the b side!!
