As with each year’s anniversary, we produce an album to mark the occasion. This year is no different. And although there’s nothing more we want than to be able to celebrate with you on the dance floor, we hope this album provides the much needed reprieve.

The anniversary album consists of 8 groovy tracks from Soul Button, Nick Devon, Monarke, Grammik, MPathy, Clawz SG and Strinner. As always, thank you for your continued and unwavering support. It’s what keeps us going through these tough times. We sincerely hope to be able to dance alongside each of you very soon!

The second chapter in the Family Matters serie marks the 10th release on the Belgian record label 9300 Records. Via electro, through house and breakbeat, all the way to New Beat, established members offer you their view on the different aspects in the spectrum of electronical music. It's a nostalgic reference to the past, through the eyes of the present. Alessandro Parisi makes his first contribution to the label with an ominous New Beat influenced track, while Betonkust joins him on the dark B-side with his well known non compromising electro. A-side consists of dance-floor approved electro/house tracks of both Intimacy & Innershades and a sober, yet sophisticated anthem by the hand of Robert D.

Melodize is a brand new label that kicks off with a mighty EP from Beartrax that includes a remix from US house legend John Tejada. Beartrax has already rebased on Motek Music, Lost Diaries and Deeper Love and makes a real impression here.

The US house legend and Kompakt regular that is John Tejada opens the EP with the moody and synth laden Clarity remix. It is a roller that takes you deep and has lush chords stretching to the heavens. Clarity in original form is a tender, piano laden tune with a vulnerable vibe and deep, resonating bass. Last up is Haunted Chalice, a track with a rasping lead synth that mesmerises as the warm drums roll on below.

SW11 brings together fourteen artists with divergent styles of electronic music.
From energetic frequencies to thoughtful melodies, the Secret Weapons Part 11 provides a mixture of different approaches to the musical creative process by new and familiar faces.

After the very successful debut of the Cologne based artist Carsten Halm on Traum in June, we here release his second EP "Fuchsbau". The release comes on vinyl as well as digitally. The EP kicks off with the title track "Fuchsbau" which works its way steadily into the dancers heart by adding melodies to the arpeggiator that trigger imaginations of a romantic kind that are touching but also energetic and stormy at times.

"Hummel" starts with a drone sound that is joined by huge pads achieving a quality of boundless generosity. This feeling of unselfishness where you are the guest rules this track and stands for a superb performance. "Hummel" incorporates the new feel in house that you can find in some of the best releases around.

"Fernweh" is at the beginning pure energy, a current of waves… that sees its turning point in the break which puts it on the bestseller list of epic trance music. The contrast between the techno rawness and the refined piano melodies could not be more obvious, yet this makes the track so special and prepares it for performances on festivals and bigger clubs serving an exceptional collective feel.

The English producer and DJ Yeadon hailed as one of Britains biggest talents in the field of progressive house with a strong drive with releases on Global Underground and UV has remixed the title track "Fuchsbau". The interpretation is a great take on the original. He moved the original more in the direction of gentle cinematic seductive house music which appeals to a wider audience.

The vinyl comes with the cover art of Cologne graphic designer Daniela Thiel who also designed Carsten’s first EP "Taubenflug" and who also works for ARTE.

key selling points: Carsten Halm is a Cologne based artist who is supported enormously by DJ Solomun, and who is remixed here by one of the great new talents of the British melodic house scene with releases on Global Underground and UA. Check out his new energetic melodic techno tracks on Traum as well as the remix by DJ Yeadon.

Cin Cin opens it's 2019 account with the inspired pairing of Joe Goddard and Kiwi.

A production 'tour de force' over the last decade, Joe Goddard has had his fingers in many pies (Hot Chip, The 2 Bears, Greco-Roman Soundsystem to name but a few) but it's on this Cin Cin debut that he bares his solo chops and delivers something for the floor. The darker roots of acid house are channelled on 'Jack Come Back', with a rubbery bassline and churning keys loaded over the vintage drum machine rhythms as the deviant vocal calls out the track title. 'Moebius Trip' takes a headier journey through wave upon wave of melodic modular synthesis and crumpled beats, with a nod to Detroit's techno-soul heritage, whilst packing a punch with the energy levels.

Gerd Janson: “Sometimes, it's enough to hear a record out loud in a party context to fall in love with it. “Gordon” is such a record. Made one day before Miami's infamous Rakastella party, premiered there on Will Renuart's “The Kiss” stage and being one of the highlights during a shared slot with DJ Tennis, I was secretly hoping for Running Back to get awarded with it. It basically sums up all the qualities of a DJ Tennis set: you get the highs and lows, the loud and quiet parts, it pogoes and it prances and it's basically impossible to resist his shuffle. “Starck” on the other hand, scaless it a bit down, but is equally overwhelming as are the atmospheric respectively cinematic versions of both tracks – less imaginative people might call them ambient. Game, set, match! Thank you, Manfredi!”

As connected arrives at its 3rd year of existence the team decided to make a selection of tunes through this time as a recap and as an opportunity to also turn some of the tunes into remixes.The remixes , including Olaf Stuut , Tim Engelhardt , Stefano Ritteri , Reboot and Moscoman will be released on vinyl alongside a brand new track from label heads Stereo Mc's and the first appearance on Vinyl of classic connected release 'Lust' by Tigerskin K.E.E.N.E and Elli (David Mayer Remix). The label has been building steam over the last few years with increasing vigour and the remix release follows the label ethic with a diverse and underground feel to it plus some strong club action. Included in the past releases is David Mayer , Re.You, Nandu , Florian Busse ,Aaaron ,Floyd Lavine ,Pôngo amongst others.

1. Re.You - They Vibed feat. Lazarusman (Olaf Stuut Remix) Amsterdam native Olaf Stuut delivers a stripped down remix, that comes as a real musical journey. The track is mainly driven by a repetitive 808 drum beat, housed in an arrangement that is packed with sound design and work on the detail. With his latest releases Olaf has been exploring the borders between experimentation and club functionality, and so he's doing here. The original track is cleary recognisable by the distinctive voice of The Lazarusman, but Olaf creates a reinterpretation that is very pure, minimal and unique.

2. David Mayer - Drained feat.Sooma (Tim Engelhardt Remix) Tim Engelhardt's remix of David Mayer 2017 banger 'Drained' featuring vocalist Sooma goes straight to the dancefloor. The driving bassline and organic percussion create a strong foundation for the club. Giving a lot of room to Sooma's voice over the whole track and adding an atmospheric strings arrangement in the break, Tim manages to combine his musicality with pure club joy.

3. Aaaron , Hazel and Carolina Melean - Entropy (Reboots Entaclepuss Rework) Frank Heinrich aka Reboot delivers a remix in typical and well- known manner. Groove, groove and again groove, a lot of love for drum arrangements, plus a bit of weird modulation on the vocal are making up this great remix. This piece doesn't have a loud eccentric nature but grabs your attention over time and is not going to leave you until it's over. This remix of Aaaron's 2016 classic seems to be perfect for a Dj Set of smooth transitions where you just get lost in groove and rhythm.

4. Florian Busse -Jamieja feat.Lisette Santiago (Stefano Ritteri Turkish Rave Remix) Stefano Ritteri's first appearance on connected comes with a lean neo disco infectious rave workout which is taking the original to a completely new place. Mainly carried by a funky bassline and classy drum machine patterns, the flute-like synthesizer introduces an unexpected oriental flair to this remix. It feels like a daring undertaking which comes out great in the end.

5. David Mayer -Movement (Moscoman Remix) Moscoman's twist on David's 2017 release is a piece of playfulness in every aspect. Mainly made of repetitive marimba and xylophone melodies and classic house piano chords, this remix is giving a modern, timeless touch to the original track. You could call it an uncontrolled madness or the creation of a wild summer anthem.

6. Stereo Mc's- Light At (Original Mix) The ever elusive Stereo Mc's provide a new original track to the package that is driven by a dirty 8bit beat and comes as a analogue deep journey. A continuous hihat-loop keeps you on the rail here, on your way through fading snyth textures that create a very special atmosphere. Vocalist Rob is twisting his vocals with a daring, eastern melodic edge paving the way to a long hypnotic breakdown.

7. Tigerskin,K.E.E.N.E ,Elli - Lust (David Mayer Remix) Having spent most of 2017 on dancefloors worldwide and at the top of any club charts, here it is on glorious vinyl. A real classic on connected which deserves to be rediscovered again this year.

Quetame Records is a new deep and organic house label that’s headed up by a trio of artists including El Mundo
& Zazou and Niki Sadeki.
The debut release is a stunning four-track EP by El Mundo & Zazou whose eloquent style of soaring melodies fused with delicate percussion is on full display.
Based in The Netherlands, El Mundo has performed as a DJ and live-act together with Zazou across The World and released music on labels such as Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings, Kindisch, Souq Records and Earthly Delights.
Zazou is a Berlin-based artist, multi-instrumentalist and regular collaborator with El Mundo, but he has also released solo tracks with imprints such as Laut und Luise and Rebellion der Traumer.
This truly is a magical EP with stunning vocals amidst its dazzling array of vibrant textures and nomadic grooves.
“Sands of Time” opens the release with its soothing atmosphere and haunting vocals nestled amidst a dreamscape of ethereal synths which are underpinned by a throbbing bassline.
Second on the EP with jovial melodies and digitised vocals, “Watch Me Burn” has a cosmic vibe that sets a
trajectory towards the stars with its expansive sound design.
After a cinematic opening, “The River” is third on the release with its haunting vocals and poignant piano. Like a choir of angels, it's eloquently beautiful while also retaining an understated aesthetic.
“Golden Skies” closes out the EP with fluttering synths and crisp percussive textures that combine to create a hypnotising groove with intimate emotion and majestic grace.

We are happy to introduce to our nineteenth release that comes from incredibly talented artist Alex Schaufel who delivers an amazing single Lone Wolf' including a wonderful remix from Ten Walls.

Alex Schaufel is a young italian electronic music producer and a DJ with already great bagadge of releases on Diynamic Music, Connaisseur Recordings and Frenetica Records. Now he joins Runemark family with an amazing single Lone Wolf' which helds enough drama and energy to explode in any dancefloor. A highly mastered atmosphere materialises into one beautiful composition that is hard to enframe in a genre-frames.

A slightly different approach to the original composition comes from the one and only Ten Walls. He adds his own touch to Lone Wolf' and gives it a bit deeper and darker feelings yet keeps the highlight on the main theme.

Two sprawling sagas just in time for your summer... The fast-rising Brazilian-in-Barcelona known as TERR takes time out from launching her new live show to touch down on planet Correspondant. And she does so with two beguiling cyberpunk schematics. Authentic down to the last wavy synth idiosyncrasies, both 'Neuromancer' and 'Multiverse' extend the analog dialogue TERR's been parlaying since she emerged on Hotflush in 2016. The former swaggers with loose drum charm but swoons with sweeping synth emotion while the latter struts with late night neon fantasies and a stirring sense of synth triumph. Both provide the same message: This is TERR at her most adventurous, detailed and ultimately hopeful with its strong sense of sci-fi mystique. GusGus are back on vinyl releasing two classic remixes off their latest release “Lies Are More Flexible”. On one side you’ll find up and coming Egyptian prodigy Raxon’s rendition of “Lifetime” while on the other side you’ll find the already classic Johannes Brecht remix of “Featherlight”. Dominik Eulberg's second EP on his label Apus apus features the track 'Roter Gitterling' (eng. Basket stinkhorn / Red cage) on the a side and - Tintenfischpilz' (engl. Octopus stinkhorn / Devil's fingers) on the flip side.

A. Roter Gitterling
The fleshy red cage of this kind of mushroom reminds of a merging of an upside down shopping string bag and an alien. Not allowing any objection, the track strides forward with determination towards a musical interpretation of this strange being. A fulminant kick drum counteracts in a very prosaic way the bitter-sweet pads. In a very narrative fashion the track gathers speed and flocks diverse soundscapes and disembogues in a break of harmonical expanse.
Conciliatory and in a hedonistic way the bass drum eventually stitches together what belongs to each other.
B. Tintenfischpilz
This bizarre looking extraterrestrial mushroom evokes at first glance the image of a dead octopus or radioactive vegetable.
As in a science fiction movie four to six tentacles sprout and raise out of a common stinkhorn and later spread into a star shape look. In an unparalleled manner this stunning progression is executed musically by Eulberg with a high degree of elaboration.
All done with elegant blend of continuous progression and permanent change the track wreathes itself towards heaven, whereas fragmented melody artifacts pour into the shape of a miraculous emergence.

Don’t you realise that it’s getting warmer and warmer by the minute, that DJ JA’s “Warm”EP for hundert is just the beginning of something new while things continue to heat up?
Just think about hearing it on the news, that feeling of your skin crawling, shrivelling, theshrill alarm sounds ringing inside your head and you trying to keep your cool while theheat is rising. Just relax though, consider the Y2K panic – how everyone breathed a
breath of relief on the 1st of January once the clock had struck midnight and everything just stayed the same. After all, that’s maybe what we really need to be doing instead: wait for things and nature and this planet to settle this on their own terms. Wasn’t it all just a
hazy craze back then, and isn’t the same happening now? Aren’t we all susceptible for either apathy or paranoia, that bittersweet ambivalence also at the core of this EP, which navigates between harsh and nervous sounds, providing both heat and the (figurative and literal) chilling cool that we so desperately long for? Remember to stay calm when you can and that nature couldn’t give a fuck about whether or not we start acting only when it’s far too late; just consider your own insignificance while the melodies stretch out beyond the horizon and into the aether. May we suggest however that you wake up, take the first letter of each sentence, put them all together in order to see through the heat of the moment and the chilling anxiety in order to feel what’s true, real, and present?

The mysterious Black Fan is back again! After his recent 7“ with Greymatter, he goes bigger this time and releases a proper 4-track 12“. We know that Black Fan has already released on respected labels like Wolf Music and Local Talk. We also know that he loves vintage analog studio gear as much as we love his old school touched tunes. But we don’t know what „RVBD“ means. And what’s with „tiger fisted“? Maybe we will find out! In the meantime enjoy this proper old school release.

Frenchman Darlyn Vlys lands on TAU with the Doble Impacto EP, comprised of four brandnew tracks. Darlyn cooks up his productions in his Valencia studio, the Spanish city where he is currently based provides a wealth of inspiration, along with his deeply rooted passion for emotionally driven electronic music. His back catalogue includes a recent appearance on Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant label and his music has been supported by some of the scene’s most respected DJs, including Ame and Dixon, Black Coffee, Maceo Plex and TAU’s head honchos, Adana Twins.

Das neue Mixalbum ist ein Trip aus zehn brandneuen Kölsch-Tracks, inspiriert von und benannt nach Flügen seines Tourplans. Dabei entfaltet jeder Track - entstanden auf einsamen Flügen in 30.000 Fuss Höhe - seine eigene Klangästhetik, die seit jeher prägnant für den Künstler und dessen Label Kompakt ist. This is the third release on vinyl in a series with Carsten Halm intended as a collectors release.

Carsten Halm’s new EP works hand in hand with his previous Traum EPs ("Taubenflug" and "Fuchsbau") in the sense that it seemingly effortless creates an intense feeling that reaches people and has created a fanbase already.

The opening track "Hammerhai" combines modern techno playfulness with some seductive old-school chords to create another Halm journey at its best. His narrative quality is very addictive and fine structured again.

The track "Tiefsee" follows this trail but has a stronger techno focus.

"Anemone" instead could be called a more private track, more introvert and lush as it shapes a matrix for a cool listening experience.

It's with great pleasure that we announce the return of New York's synth wizard Steve Moore to KOMPAKT - pretty much exactly 10 years after his much lauded first appearance 'Bayern Kurve' on our SPEICHER series.

Steve Moore is widely recognized as one half of Italo Disco-tinged horror-prog project ZOMBI, his numerous thriller movie soundtrack works (The Guest, VFW, Mayhem, Bliss, The Mind's Eye) as well has his clubbier output on Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S. imprint.

The title track of this 4 track EP, "Frame Dragging" sees Moore in full spine tingling mode. In case you've ever stepped into a hot bath on a cold day (in case you haven't you should try it) you should be well familiar with the phenomenon of being incredibly cold and hot at once. That's exactly what 'Frame Digging' does to the dance floor. Goosebump massacre.

"Gamma Quadrant" combines emotive balearic elements with a rolling minimal house track that reminds us of early Playhouse glory. Or is it early Kompakt?

'Gravity Well' and 'Protostar' are both taking a more chilled out route. They perfectly bookend both sides of the record and showcase Moore's stunning ability of creating suspenseful, spaced out beauty.

What began as a challenge to fight creative stagnation, soon grew into a fully-fledged audio-visual project for Belgian DJ, producer and live artist, Biesmans. Setting himself the goal of making three tracks per week for a month, he re-scored ‘80s pop culture moments – including films, TV shows and games, resulting in a brilliant 12-track work encompassing new wave, indie, dark wave, electro and
disco.
Moving his modular-heavy studio to Berlin in 2014, the ensuring years saw Joris Biesmans drop heat on Correspondent, Disco Halal, AEON, 17 Steps and Future Disco. He’s been a core member of Watergate
family since his arrival in the capital, working as the club’s sound technician. He made his debut on Watergate Records in 2020 with the well-received ‘Electric Love’ EP.
The ‘Planes, Trains & Automobiles’ album took shape in April last year as the lockdown was starting to take grip and Biesmans needed a positive distraction. Ensconced in the music of his childhood and ‘80s
pop cultural fodder, he locked himself in his studio and set about creating, later digging through archival footage to match the music. Biesmans, who previously undertook work scoring films, was so absorbed by the process, he’d sometimes do it in reverse; allowing the vintage media be the guide. Throughout the period, the clips were shared each Monday, Wednesday and Friday on his Instagram, building up a firm following from fans, friends and colleagues. And thus, the project found its wings, developing into an album.
Throughout the dozen tracks, highlights are plentiful; from the neon ambience of the Kraftwerk-inspired ‘ ‘Cosmic Cruise’, which later accompanied a smoky scene between Tom Cruise and Rebecca de Mornay in ‘Risky Business’; the sun-soaked, retro-pop title track, which became the album’s first single, and was paired with a jubilant dance scene from the Breakfast Club; ‘Cold Void’, the album’s second single, which saw Biesmans link up with fellow Belgians Boi Wonder and Tom the Bomb for a dark wave creation built around a heavy guitar solo and set against a backdrop of Blade Runner clips; and the silky electro funk of ‘Another World’ that soundtracks scenes from Miami Vice.
Biesmans explains about ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’: “I started this as a lockdown challenge, in which I would make three tracks per week for a month, alongside providing videos where I re-scored
footage of 80s pop culture moments. Inspired by the movie of the same name, I picked the title because it ties to the theme of ‘mobility’. Our society is based upon being mobile and when Corona hit us, we
could taste a bit of being immobile. As an artist that meant, I could focus on making music 100%. No distractions, no weekend gigs, no parties just making music. This new lifestyle resulted in my first album.
A journey into the past but looking forward to the future, experimenting with other genres and techniques to make a real album that goes beyond club music.”

'Lost Spirits' is an exploration in sounds for dancing. Catalysed by the catastrophe that was 2020, Hidden Empire step off the stage and retreat to the studio on a quest to find out what moves the people.

They seem to have found it. One out of the box, this 16 track album is designed for diversity. Hidden Empire oar their creative rudders, lending their hand from techno to deep house with a cheeky reach-around to a more downtempo vibe.

The first three tracks send you down the rabbit hole on a toe-tapping, hip-slapping aural escapade to the heavier edge of techno, the sublime vocals of Artche taking you directly back to those dancefloor moments when time stands still.

Taking the stairs two at a time in polyamorous heels, you’ll fall in love with the sassy, classy, savage vibes of ‘Resurgence’ and ‘Dark Matter’.

Transitioning to a more tribalesque vibe is ‘Organic Train’ a cut which blends the primitive, esoteric influence of the old world with the punchy, industrial sounds of the new world. Continuing on the exploratory sound voyage of downtempo, broken beaten space techno, ‘Mr. P’ stands in the forest listening to the plants talk to the people. Bebetta slips in with her inimitable style in the collectively inspired ‘All of Us’, keeping the Fun Dial turned right up.

Delving deep into the tundra, ‘Hectic Dreams’ become reality as the album turns towards the chunkier end of the musical spectrum. Punching out the bass-heavy bangers like 'Once Upon' (with a cameo from South African slam poet & spoken word artist The Lazarusman), Hidden Empire roll out with a flurry of cuts that are limitless in genre and luminous in effect.

The Piano And Prophet 6 Und The Moog Sub37 Were The Main Instruments Used For The Album'. Thyladomid Started Working On The Album 2 1/2 Years Ago. His Classical Training On The Piano Helped To Quickly Come Up With A Musical Theme Which Is Based On Different Tonalities Which Were Then Linked To Each Other And Which Actually Helped To Structure The Whole Release. The Good Weather In Summer Was A Good Inspiration And Finally Led To The Idea To Dedicate Tracks To A Certain Place, A Place Which Means A Lot For Him. From That Idea The Title Of The Whole Album Derived: "places ". "a Little Church In Amsterdam" As He Says "is Such A Track Encouraged By The City Of Amsterdam I Love And Respects So Much And Actually Have Spend So Much Time In. It Is A Track I Played Outside In My Garden To Friends And Which Works Perfectly For Me.' "a Little Church In Amsterdam" Is A Track Where Melodies Bloom And Flourish. It Feels Like Zooming In On Nature Grasping A Time Lapse Symphony. "blossoming Limburg Ft Mahfoud" Was Born In The Capital Of Limburg Which Is Located In The South Of The Netherlands And Reflects The Summer Of 2017 And Was Recorded In A Warehouse. It Reflects The Intimacy And Synergetic Level Between Mahfoud And Thyladomid. The Fantastic Deep Vocal Track Is Spiced Up With Lots Of Acoustic Details Which All Happen In The Background But Effectively Surface To Pull The Listener Into His World. "night Owl" Is A Lyrical Dreamy Piano Piece With A Melancholic Note And An Ear For Details. Acoustic Finesse Presented On An Episodic Scale. We Guess The Track Was Influenced By The Works Of Four Tet Or Pantha Du Prince. "kollwitzplatz" Is A Small Park In Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg Which Was Thyladomid's Home For 2 Years . - the Cafes And Restaurants Laced By The Alleys Of The Kollwitz District Resemble A Piece Of Home For Me And Represents The Time Of My Stay In Berlin'. Musically "kollwitzplatz" Is Full Of Life. You Can Hear Children Talking While The Piano Attracts Sounds Like Moths Are Attracted To Light. The Track Offers This Richness Of Percussive Elements And Sound Sources Creating A Stunning Complexity Which Does Not Limiting Itself But Rather Creates This Free Flow Of Acoustic Signals. You Instantly Will Feel: There Is A Lot To Discover At "kollwitzplatz". "underwater Rhapsody", The Title Says It All: It Has That Episodic, Free-flowing Structure, Featuring A Range Of Highly Contrasted Moods, Color And Tonality. After featuring a track on Dixon's Transmoderna EP and releasing his debut EP "Virtuality", we are delighted to welcome back Echonomist with his „Night Versions EP" for our first release in 2021.

Last year wasn't very gentle with dance music and even the most striking and elaborate club tracks unfortunately had to give up some of their shine, which makes "Our Last Night” all the more impressive with its reduced atmospheric beat and catchy melancholic vocals. In collaboration with Mironas (aka. Myronas Stratis), who lends his voice to the track, they created an emotionally driven and heart-rending music production.

"Different Versions Of Your Love” takes form with his progressive synthlines and a punchy breakbeat, the backbone of the EP, and offers a good start into a hopefully more prosperous dance season in 2021.

Olaf Stuut returns to Atomnation with a new EP titled 'Crown Shyness". In his elegant, dark improvised style, Olaf created 3 tracks that are ready for both dance-floors and home listening enthusiasts. Olaf is known for his album 'Run', the EP 'Siren' (with a very solid remix from Dauwd) and his remix efforts for The Acid, Max Cooper and Sasha's Last Nigth On Earth label.

We welcome to the Kompakt family one of our local Cologne heroes, "Jonathan Kaspar". We’ve appreciated him from afar for some time now thanks to his releases on Crosstown Rebels, Pets Recordings, Ouie and of course our own KX imprint. His single “Renard” was a highlight of our recently released TOTAL 19 collection, so it was time to make our relationship official with a 4 track EP.

Opener “Kern” leads with layers of melodic synths power charged around a playful house rhythm. For the digital release he offers up a Percussion Edit that is intended to bring more depth to the charge. “Zentrum” is for that peak time pace … elevating melodies caress a swelling mid-tempo beat. Not to mention one of the biggest breakdown’s we’ve had the pleasure to release in some time.

We move to “Licht” which literally sounds like it soars, then back to earth comes “Kante” – the most techno inspired track of the EP – an oscillating synth rips through solid low end bass frequencies – with Jonathan Kaspar skillfully demonstrating prime time, peak and valley production. “Kante EP” brings out his emotive, high energy style of writing and producing in a means that could be pointed to as his best work to date.

Fresh off their outstanding performance at Life and Death's hedonistic circus in Amsterdam, Marvin & Guy return with their second etching in the label's stone - Solar Warriors. Idra, featuring Techno-Chanteuse, Perel, balances effervescent, nouveau-synth passages with a cosmic, spoken-word recital. Cut from similar silk, Notte pushes further outwards, while peering deeper within. Stige (9AM Mix) sees the duo complete their galactic revolution in fine form

German veteran Marc Romboy is back on André Hommen’s ​These Eyes imprint with a stellar two track release entitled ​Elka, ​showcasing Marc’s effortless ability to portray alluring and emotive characteristics through music​. ​This offering follows up from ​Trapped In An Orbit​, which he released on the label in 2017 and remains a label highlight to this day.

The title track ​Elka provides a stirring and suspenseful journey that plays out as it’s melodies unfold over a bassline that pulses gently and impels the listener. ​Unreal Sun ​ups the energy with a groove thats ready to fall into and chords that lead the way, dictating the pace as their intensity undulates.

Marc Romboy has dedicated 30 years to the scene, with an impressive history of releases on labels like Innervisions and his own Systematic Recordings, collaborating with artists such as Stephan Bodzin. It is a point to be made that the A side to this release is one of Marc’s personal favourites to date and it is clear to see why.

Dominik Eulberg's third EP on his label Apus apus features the track "Abendpfauenauge" (eng. Eyed hawkmoth) on the a side and "Oleanderschwärmer" (engl. Oleander hawkmoth) on the flip side. "Abendpfauenauge" brings together a romantic outlook as well as a rave quality through sequential tight knit melodies which enables the DJ to play the tune in the club. "Oleanderschwärmer" on the contrary is a dreamy and airy 15 minute epic that is a true fascinating listening experience. A. Abendpfauenauge The Eyed hawkmoth owes its name to the distinctive eye drawing on its hind wings. The bark-colored forewings provide perfect camouflage when resting on tree trunks during the day. In case of a disturbance, it pulls the forewings up jerkily. The moth now gives off the appearance of a face that suddenly stares at the troublemaker. Forward and backward swinging movements of the body intensify this threatening effect. B. Oleanderschwärmer With its incredible colors, the Oleander hawkmoth is a symbol of tropical beauty. It rarely flies into our fields as a migratory butterfly. With a wingspan of up to 13 centimeters, it is a true "Jumbo". It's flying style is similar to that of hummingbirds. It reaches speeds of up to 50 km/h. It's proboscis, the tubular mouthpart used for feeding on the nectar of flowers, becomes as long as its body.

It's been a year and a half since we last saw La Fleur grace Watergate Records with a proper EP, having been featured on remix duties for Sasha's 'Trigonometry' and her contribution 'Femton' to the celebrated 15 Years compilation.
So her brand new 'Outbreaker' EP arrives just in time to curb any impatience you might have waiting for her signature blend of house and techno aesthetics fused with modern production techniques that sets her apart from her peers.
La Fleur kicks things off with a wild heaving bass line and crisp, distinctive organic claps on 'Devils Sigh' setting the tone for the hypnotic groove that soon turns into a high energy burner of explosive bursts and an incredibly unique lead guaranteeing an absolute hit. It only gets better when one of the hottest acts on the scene, Tuff City Kids, lend their talents for a remix and turn 'Devils Sigh' into an analog heavy, future-retro banger that's as different as it is the same as the original, creating a perfect alternative to the already killer original.
Wrapping things up, La Fleur takes it a little slower and deeper with 'Outbreaker' by utilizing lush organic percussion and washed out guitars to build a tune that will be the anthem for early mornings, open airs and beach sessions alike. We couldn't be happier to have the first lady of Watergate back at the controls and we think you will agree.
