Locked down and furloughed, Vitalic went back to his synths and beatboxes, resulting in his fifth album "DISSIDÆNCE" - the title of which is a whole story in itself - destined to be released in two volumes. He describes it as a return to the roots of his sonic identity, a kind of reinterpretation of the rock energy of his early albums. "More than anything, it was a question of timing. While composing I realised that eight tracks felt like too little for an album, and sixteen was really over the top, so I decided to cut the whole thing in half! The main reason though is that I felt I hadn't been able to express everything I wanted to on the first volume - like something had been left unfinished."

The two episodes of "DISSIDÆNCE" - navigating between pop and hardcore, sweat and tenderness, melancholia and anger - are a sort of boiling down of what the artist knows how to do best, after twenty years of creating, from filthy whirlwinds that make your mind explode on the dancefloor to bubble gum pop songs about love that transport us elsewhere. On these two volumes of "DISSIDÆNCE" that now form one, the powerful beats and galloping sequencers translate the social and political anger of the global pandemic, and Vitalic looks into the past, channelling his love for off-kilter synth sounds, skew-whiff pads, heady refrains, distorted vocals and heavy beats. Above all, this dancefloor marathon expresses his obsessional passion for dance music and the primal need to dance. "DISSIDÆNCE" should be taken as both a celebration of celebration and a journey back in time to an era that maybe does not exist right now, but which will - and this album is the dazzling proof - be reborn from its ashes to burn bright once more, its BPM let loose and rage still blazing, because more than ever, to dance is to live.

The battle against the plague has raged hard for over a year. Around the globe, dancefloors are empty, layers of dust and broken bottles strewn across them…the glowsticks have long faded to black. But the Cologne mothership KOMPAKT has managed to prevail, bringing inspiration and hope through the message of music to a decaying humanity.

Brazilian sorceress ANNA arrives on Afterlife with a tryptic of atmospheric ascendence.

ANNA has risen to prominence as one of South America’s foremost purveyors of techno, headlining events around the world and delivering exquisitely balanced sets that merge emotion and intensity.

‘Journey to The Underworld’ exemplifies her ability to blend tough beats with transcendent atmospheres. The EP opens with the title cut, where thunderous drums underpin a symphony of melodrama lighting up your emotional centre. ‘Surrender’ combines serenity with hypnotic rhythm to transport the listener into an alternate realm of consciousness. Finally, beatless soundscape ‘Dissolution’ gently caresses the soul as it journeys home to the source…

Back on the Riotvan with the third installment already, it is the ever on point Llewellyn, still being the more extroverted Synth/Wave/NeoDisco-alter ego of Lake People - that just as a minor gloss for those who've been living under a rock over the last years. On "These Days" we see him further elaborate his distinctive signature sound, more than ever brimming with confidence and splendour.

Welcoming Ukrainian artist The Organism to the TAU family with this delightful EP. Roman Yarmolenko began his career back in 1999 as DJ Alfred, and made quite a name for himself. But he made a conscious shift into the underground in 2013, finding more satisfaction and joy in pro- ducing music that didn’t fit into mainstream ideals. Over the years since he has established himself as a formidable producer, landing releases with labels such as Diynamic and Disco Halal. Now he’s joining the TAU squad for his debut EP Ups And Downs after testing the waters a while ago on the label’s Spektrum 2 VA...

Agents Of Time return to Afterlife with two heartrending audio expeditions.

Italian act Agents Of Time have established a sterling reputation over the years. Their mesmerising approach to club music blends emotive melodies and transcendent rhythms, with dance floor-centred beats.

The Mirage EP begins with its title cut; enveloping the listener is a swathe of atmospheric synth and pad work from the off. Oscillating frequencies complement the sultry rhythms while a life-affirming riff forms the stirring centrepiece. On the flip ‘Northern Lights’ is a sensitive, emotive composition which gradually increases its emotional impact as it builds and evolves.

There is this phenomenon that I call the „Keope moment“. I saw it again at this year's Sacred Ground Festival. Two guys start playing music on a guitar and a table full of unknown objects. Nobody knows them and nobody knows what to expect. 20 minutes later everybody’s dancing because some strings just pulled you close to them and made you dance. I sincerely hope that when you listen to their second LP - which I’m very proud to be able to present you - you can’t help yourself but dance! Frank Wiedemann

His production is inventive and progressive, gracing dance floors with emotional depth, considered arrangement and pumping rhythms. His debut EP opens with ‘Confronted Reality’, which is driven by an
oscillating low end, complemented by an emotive melody and a huge riff - tinged with drama throughout.

Next up it’s the title track, a morose cut that utilises breakbeat-esque
rhythms, piano keys and warped vocals. On the flip The Loss Of Hope’ features beautifully composed, trance-esque layers drift over a driving rhythm - lifting spirits and invoking the Heaven within. Finally, ‘Irreversible’ takes us into the darkness, with spinetingling melodies and hard-hitting drums ...

here's a big reason to celebrate, as we face the 150th release on Cocoon Recordings! That's right, 150 prime cuts with a number of milestones. It's hard to single out any one for particular praise but even so, we still have something very special planned for the anniversary. With a certain affection, we wanted to present an artist from the region so it's with great pleasure that we can unveil "Countach" from the one and only Butch, as a more than worthy anniversary release. The native Mainzer and sometime Berliner is without doubt one of the most dazzling German Tech-House artists of the moment. His performances contain a full dose of funkiness and his self-made promo videos never fail to entertain, providing a lot of fun in the process. First and foremost though, Butch is an exceptional producer, who, as one of the chosen few, knows how to mix together those special ingredients that drag us onto the dance floor again and again. What's more, since we really have something to celebrate, we don't just have an original from Butch, it's accompanied by a remix from none other than Kölsch!

If the term "man of the moment" applies to any artist then it's got to be Kölsch! At least that's true when it comes to hypnotic techno with a subtle yet seductive touch of trance. Kölsch is currently operating on another level. Whatever he touches turns to gold, turns moments on the dance floor into unforgettable experiences to be written down in the annals of techno.
His Kompakt release "Cassiopeia", as well as his remixes including the Chemical Brothers, stand out as musical testimonies of the past two years. The series of musical landmarks from the house of Kölsch is endless and his remix of Butch's "Countach" is no exception!

With poise and purpose like the Lamborghini of the same name, Kölsch takes us on an epic journey with his remix here, but as things progress he still has the foresight to jams on the brakes, keeping the dance floor honest by slowing things down to cruise control for the middle of his ride. What a trip, a true adventure, a techno road movie that could only come from Kölsch!
Of course, after a remix like that, there's not much left to say but this is techno and our man Butch is anything but normal! He just knows instinctively how to bring things to the boil and demonstrates it very impressively again on his original version. Implementing a 'nasty' arpeggio line that captivates us before being hunted down by a prime-time filter, Butch summons up an acid monster that works without a 303 but is no less effective. If that's not enough Butch also proves himself a master of ecstatic dance during the closing sections, serving up an emotional string arrangement that glimmers and shines. As a result, "Countach" with his nice fat strings becomes an instant dance floor catcher.

It'll probably be very difficult to pick a favourite from these two mixes, which makes this cut even fatter! It's a great release brimming with pathos and full-on emotions.

The new EP ‘Changes’ marks the follow-up to acclaimed 2020 EP ‘Walking Away’ Tapping into the trademark Mind Against sound, title track ‘Changes’ combines rich melodies, fleeting vocal samples and fluttering synths, delivering a graceful electronic creation that’s steeped in otherworldly emotion. On the flipside, ‘Closer’ is characterised by its stunning breakdowns and delicate piano chords.

Drawing from IDM, house and techno, Italy-born, Berlin-based duo Mind Against have previously expressed their emotive, psychedelic sound on labels such as Hotflush or the Life and Death imprint. Their unique DJ sets, often performed in many of the world's best venues, create a special kind of feeling in the club, at once uplifting, dark, driving and melodic.

London producer Scott Ferguson, aka Robot84, continues his superlative run through 80s speckled gear on his own label. This time he's cooked up a killer slice of proto house with an Afro vocal boost from TAMA. From the slick reverse edits to the warm thrum of the bassline, the classic drum machines patter to the spangled arps, this is feel good business rendered with reverence and love for the roots of dance music as we know it today. Stick on the A side for the vocal version, flip it over for the dub, or better still bag two copies and get creative in the mix.

How do you go on after a feast like - The Division' - especially if it included a main course like Neutron Dance You don't! And you don't even have to try. But like with any great meal, one can do magic with the leftovers (see chop suey, stew or goulash for further reference). In any case, Krystal Klear doesn't need to worry about that. Having cracked the DNA code of - dance music' on his first EP for Running Back, this double-A-side-follow-up-single feels alive, floats upstream and fires on all cylinders. While Euphoric Dreams is the musical incarnation of an Alexander Shulgin formula (your spine gets tingled all the way including a wonderfully prolonged break down) or the scoring of the proverb that - at the bottom of patience one finds heaven' and - happiness is just around the bend'. Speaking of which, Miyoki does exactly that to every pair of knees around. Collected from the label's artists, friends and inspirations of past and present, "House of Mo'" comprises musical snapshots from Mimmo Falcone's journey as a DJ, producer and label head. Reverberating rhythms and grooves attached to memories made on and off dancefloors, these sonic wonders are part and parcel of the House the label built, go-to jams that speak of the spirit that binds its growing family.

This new EP, entitled "Serenity remixes", pays tribute to POPOF's eponymous hit released in 2009. True Who's Who of electronic music, it will include several remixes of this classic by artists that we no longer present to you: Vitalic, NTO, Pig & Dan, Booka Shade, Oxia and Atoem.

Rising contemporary electronica musician Holo will be releasing his new In Limbo EP via Houseum’s sub-label Ellipse Records on the 25th of February. The Australian producer burst onto the scene in 2019 after seeing his first track 'Atlas' uploaded on the Houseum YouTube channel and after releasing his debut EP of the same name, with house music heavyweight UK label Shall Not Fade’s sub-label Lost Palms. The EP featured the deep house classic ‘In My Dreams’ that earned over 2 million streams on Houseum channel.

Hugo Horwood (Holo himself) is originally from Canberra and is currently living in Melbourne, Australia. His music draws from unexpected genres, including pop, classic rock, acid and 90s hip hop, to create a sound that is truly his own.

‘Bleu’ is the first introduction into the kaleidoscopic EP that will subvert your expectations from the get-go. With a gradual start, the listener is rewarded for taking the extra time to lean back into the song and explore the multilayered tones of chilled vibes and an inescapable otherworldly realm. The first hint at the artist’s vocal talents, the single leaves the listener begging for more.

‘In Limbo’ is the epitome of holidays: luxurious soundscapes and unhurried production at each turn. Join us as we venture down a long, winding road that hugs the mountains on one side and showcases a vast aquamarine world on the other. Just above, around the bend, you know there’s a house party waiting for you that promises sunsets and good vibes but for now, the road stretches on and there isn’t a rush in the world. Why would there be, when you’ve got Holo on the speakers?

It took a long time to get 'Supersonic' sounding the way Holo wanted it to, particularly dialling in the bass sound he could hear in his head. It reminds him of Fatboy Slim's 'Right Here, Right Now' or Robert D's 'Clubbed to Death' (from that scene in The Matrix with the woman in the red dress) with its swirling bassline and relentless drums. The guitar parts at the end are inspired by the intro to Pink Floyd’s Shine On You Crazy Diamond'.

Holo once had this “Airbnb for music gear” business idea and tried to validate it by buying an original Roland TB-303 to rent out to other producers in Melbourne. He ended up stopping that project but found he was way too in love with the 303 to sell it, and he's glad he didn’t because it's been a constant source of inspiration, and it’s all over this track. He’d been mucking around with an acid line over “In Limbo” and found that the 303 line worked brilliantly with the drums and bassline by themselves, so he immediately saved a new version of the project and didn't look back!

Some serious sweetness from Jex Opolis on Bad Timin' the sub label of the beloved Good Timin' records. While 2018's Bad Timin' Vol. I charted a course into the art of darkness, this second volume re-imagines the imprint's focus and aims for a more colorful--and inclusive--dancefloor experience. Along with some searing club dynamics, many of those Jex touchstones we all know and love are here in full force: The playful melody, the disdain for genre, the bad puns ... On EP opener "Fought Experiment," Jex pumps the breaks during a drive on the Big Beat highway, with buzz-saw FX, turntablist scratching and a bubbling bassline along for the ride. Meanwhile, two mixes of "Soft Guidance" let the Canadian producer reflect on his late 90s "Global Underground" phase--while swapping out Oakenfold for wash-n-fold, given Jexy's newfound domesticity. Closing out the EP, "Scott Says" keeps the BPMs high and filters dubby techno through a deep house sieve, all while namechecking a little-known Edmonton techno producer. Recommended!!

The North of England is known for its musical prowess. Middlesbrough born Rees taps into that musical history while diving deep into lost disco, obscure wave and even the Middle East for his debut for Bordello. Three Eyes is a melting pot. Setting sail on bold beats and rumbling synthlines, Rees steers the listener through cascading chords, shimmering key shifts and serenading sirens to produce a truly unique dancefloor experience. Tjade, of Koi Jaye fame, is on remix duty. The winning formula of the original is adhered to with adjustments and ablutions guiding this interpretation. BPMs rise to give a fresh burst of energy. Rees’ melody is given extra muscle with those same mesmerizing vocals being a driving force for this superb remix. Dynamic and diverse dancefloor dynamite from the Paradiso label boss.

Following widespread acclaim for his recent LP ‘Always Inside your Head’, on March 4th / April 8th Matt Cutler AKA Lone releases four re-works of tracks from the album, entitled ‘Natural Aerials’.

On ‘Natural Aerials (Mouth of God Part Two)’, Lone utilises a similar sound palette as album track ‘Mouth Of God’, but rebuilds it into a brand new banger. Energetic, deep, trancey and driven by jungle-schooled breakbeats, with bassbin shuddering low-end, he delves deeper into the vortex. Whereas the album was made predominantly using software, Cutler has since been buying hardware – and this marks the first track made on these newly acquired synths.

Based around a version from Lone’s recent sold-out live show at London’s Village Underground, on ‘Inlove2 (One Thirty Mix)’ he ups the original’s BPM count, with sights set firmly on the dancefloor. Taking cues from the ‘Ambivert Tools’ series, this is a high-grade, proggy, main room acid rush.

On ‘Visited By Astronauts (SHERELLE Had A Groove Remix)’, the fast-rising star takes an ambient interlude from the album, and gives it what she calls “a space age, footwork jungle twist”. Her first released remix, Sherelle continues an impeccable purple patch, with a re-rub that’s both airy and light, but also heavily percussive, full of propulsive forward motion. She states, "it’s a pleasure and honour to remix for Lone, as being a long time fan, it's a beautiful thing to be able to collaborate. I really wanted my first remix to be special and also for someone who I hugely admire, so Matt asking me to be involved in this process wastruly magical!”

‘Echo Paths Ebb And Flow’ takes a downtempo album highlight, strips it back to just the synths, then unfurls them into a blissful ambient work that’s melodic, warm and fuzzy, swaddling the listener in candy floss clouds.

As the third outlook on the soon to be released second Keinemusik album, this is "Confusion feat. Ali Love". Slightly grainy beat, tender piano-harmonies and on top: Love's croon - the sentiment of this tune is destined to score many of the last sunsets, this season has to offer. "Confusion" will be out August 27, followed up by the album in October.

As a long-time friend of the Connected label, Le Croque makes his debut with a superb single that comes with a remix from Themba. At the forefront of the ever-growing Greek afro-house scene and part of The Madorasindahouse team, Le Croque has also released on Open Bar Music and King Street, and DJed alongside such legends as Black Coffee, Adam Port and &Me. For this release he teams up with Berlin via Munich vocalist HRRSN who came to electronic music from soul and R&B and has released on such labels as Stil Vor Talent, Suol and Noir Music. This latest partnership leads to a beautiful deep slice of electronic hypnosis on 'Melancholia.' The track has a driving rhythm that is sparse and simple, with lush keyboard refrains and vocals soaring in the drop. It is the sort of majestic and melodic offering that will make for a fantastic high point in any set, while the dub keeps things even deeper for more intimate moments. Remixer Themba has swiftly risen to prominence over the last few years and is at the forefront of the South African house scene. Here he delivers a sharp and striding groove that is joined by stabbing bass, with fading, string-like notes and dubbed vocal refrains taking things to another level as HRRSN comes into the spotlight and delivers a message from the heart. This is a subtle but celebratory house package packed with plenty of emotion.

Musical storyteller ´Solee´ takes us on the 4th Future Romance journey with two brandnew tracks called "Sternstunde" and "Exhilaration", both packed with euphoric melodies and some extra drive for the deeper dancefloors.

DJ and producer ´Shall Ocin´, wellknown for his stirring productions on labels like Ellum, Atlant, Drumcode or his own imprint Clash Lion accompanies us as a remixer for this release and turns "Exhilaration" skillful into a true peaktime belter!

Remixes of Kas:St's A Magic World EP.

For an understanding of the past, you have to look to the future – or was it the other way round? No matter how you want to put it, some things are an aesthetic choice, and the meaning of style does not necessarily go hand in hand with the latest fashion fad or an incurable retromania. Chinaski’s debut (album under that name) on Running Back seems predestined to resume these discussions. Drenched in sepia colors and faded VHS tapes memories, fed by a science-fiction that never became a fact, essentially made with the ultramodern instruments of yesteryear (see back cover for further reference) that became redundant through their own relatives and a need to ensure efficiency (time, space, money), it’s either concept art, an ode to Disco Piu, a post card from the early days of Frankfurt’s Dorian Gray or the search and itch for a time machine.

All of the debate above is rendered useless by the title though: No Pop, No Fun! And those are the main musical reference points here: instrumental pop that you can dance to, pastel melodies that stick with you and fun frequencies. Downtempo ballads for video game characters in love meet cabriolet anthems and scooter songs. Perfectly composed and carefully made.

If John Hughes would have ever aspired to make a high school movie set in a post-apocalyptic Italy: this is what the score would probably sound like.

One of Europe’s most popular queer parties launches its record label, showcasing the residents who made Adonis such a cult, must-attend event. The four-track ‘ADONIS 001’ EP is released on 25 February, featuring four tracks from residents Nyra and Wilson Phoenix, representing the different music styles experienced across both rooms at their infamous party which ended its four-year residency at The Cause with a bang on New Year’s Day this year.

Long-term resident Nyra delivers both A-Side tracks, presenting the uplifting, main-room house sound of Adonis. Opening with ‘Used To Love Me’ which evokes classic early New York house with its sultry “you used to love me, basic lover” vocal refrain alongside deep atmospheric beats and hypnotic saxophone sounds. ‘Visions’ sparkles with vibrant electro beats which bounce and shimmer throughout, combined with the Italo house inspired synth chords for an anthemic track perfect for peak-time dance-floors.

Resident Wilson Phoenix, known for delivering the faster paced, darker sound of Adonis, provides both B-Side tracks. As the BPM rises, the vibe gets harder. The thumping yet euphoric ‘Dash Und’ flexes its muscles from the out, with its punchy 909 matched by robotic synths and nostalgic acid and rave influences. ‘K-12’ ups the intensity; a sweat-soaked techno stomper with stabbing hi-hats which make for the ideal heads down cut.

BLO is new sensation in LA’s the New Beat scene. Their classical song structures and arrangements with a modern twist capture and transport immediately to the golden era of the Belgian macro clubs of the late 80’s. After releasing his first Album Liber Novus' on Form Music, followed by 'Liber Secretus' and 'Liber Tertius' on his Praedikat imprint, Christian Hornbostel now presents 'Liber Prodigiorum' (Book of Prodigies). Hornbostel's previous releases have garnered support from major players like John Digweed or Richie Hatwin and are regularly popping up on Joris Voorn's Spectrum. Liber Prodigiorum confirms the full diversity of Hornbostel’s various strands and his interesting look on techno makes it a worthwhile listen, especially if you're fond of the progressive sweeping club floors.

Remix time! The ever on-point andhim look back over their last two releases on their Superfriends imprint and call up some good friends for a few cheeky version excursions: Johannes Albert, Kalupke, Neil Landstrumm and Toto Chiavetto. The results leave no stone unturned…

First come the remixes of the duo’s last single ‘Buenos Aires’. Deeper and more contemplative than the German duo’s originals, Johannes Albert adds a whole new melodic layer and classic late 80s Mr Fingers style twist to ‘Aires’ while Kalupke takes ‘Buenos’ on more of a journeyman vibe. Warm pads are dominant character and while the original’s pipes remain the mystic focus there’s a great lolloping, long-winding road feel to the drums.

Deeper into this epic trove we dive as Neil Landstrumm does what he does best and completely turns ‘Duno’ inside out. Full attention on the warped electroid bass, it’s a no messing piece of trippy techno with a hook your dancefloor will be singing for days. Finally the unstoppable Toto Chiavetta closes business with a complete curveball remix of ‘Windows 85’. Taking the jazzy, freestyle Latin instrumentation and reboosting it with heightened synth wizardry, he’s effectively turned a small local church into a towering cathedral… With more than enough space for you and every single one of your mates to dance in.

The long standing and hugely respected label and events company Astropolis welcome Blutch for a new single that comes ahead of his debut album on this same label later in 2020, and includes a remix from Michael Mayer.

Blutch has had numerous releases on the likes Nowadays, Dance Around 88 and Délicieuse Musique, has collaborated with heavyweights like Terrence Parker and Red Rack’em and has received support from NTS and Radio 1. He is a respected talent in France and deals in classy electronica that blurs the lines between dream states and reality, and the forthcoming album will be presented as a gripping audiovisual tale with the help of video maker Romain Navier.

First up here is expressive techno masterpiece ‘Beau Rivage’ which soars on supple synth lines and elastic drum programming. It’s elegant stuff awash with melodic beauty and emotion. Single, ‘Compétition’ which gets an early release on December 18th is another excellently mature and musical track with symphonic synths reaching to the heavens and colourful arps lighting up the uplifting grooves. ‘2014’ is driven by vast, pounding and cavernous drums, with distant vocal harmonies bring an angelic feel to the celestial synths and chords. The final vinyl-only original is the brilliant ‘La Cité Des Etoiles’, which is layered up with pixelated leads, soft chords and found sound percussion samples that fire your every synapse.

Remixing is Kompakt label boss and one of the most revered names in electronic music, Michael Mayer. He flips ‘La Cité Des Etoiles’ into deeply rooted techno that is riddled with claps and synth lines that bright real light. Buy the digital version and we’ll also get the added bonus of ‘Vorlen’, which again brims with fantastic synths, chords and sorting grooves.

This is a fantastic package that more that whets the appetite for the forthcoming album.

More than one year after his EPs on Speicher and These Eyes Marc Romboy finally returns with a brand new release on his very own Systematic imprint. On the a-side Romboy presents us „Empathy“, a charming and groovy track with Romboy-alike deep warm bass figures and the sound of a rare and vintage „Blüthner” piano which improves that electronic and natural elements may fit together perfectly.

The flip side „Blüthner“ comes along like a trippy sound spiral between experimental piano sounds which are more like percussion effects and the constant arpeggiator sequence which floats through the punching beats. A very distinctive but typical Romboy two-tracker which sounds pretty much unheard!

His sound is derived from a broad palette of tones, timbres and influences; from drum’n’bass to rock and jazz. Jenia Tarsol has appeared on a long list of influential labels, collaborating with some of the greats of our scene. Lucas Buchta and Gary Pilz have been profound producers for a good chunk of the last decade. Throughout the years, their individual forces intertwined into a germafrican vision. Combining Luc's love for a detailed arrangement and Gary's exceptional sound design, their project "LADS" was born. The German & South African duo has seen their first releases dropped in 2017, including a debut remix on Nie Wieder Schlafen that climbed up various Spotify playlists and marked the start of continuous collaboration between the label and artists. Three years later, the team returns for an ambitious original release, pressed on black gold.

The 5-tracker EP "Bamboo" explores a broad array of sounds, from the orientalic "Cedar", including Gary's own beautiful vocals to the textured "Tin Pan Alley", including a special piano recording from Luc. Two Slovak guys, Filip and Tomas, half a world apart, connect Prague synthesis through Filip, with melodic elements that unlock the connection with Miami based Tomas, who feeds in the Spanish laced, sinuous South American percussion grooves and synth bass lines. After years of creating concurrently, their blood bond remains strong through reverberations of rhythmic frequencies. This EP arrives as a purely underground record in limited edition as proof of their enthusiasm and heritage to the art of electronic music. Watergate’s emphasis on the finest emerging talent continues, with the label debut of GLOWAL.

The Italian duo arrive on the imprint with a fine pedigree, having landed stirring releases on Innervisions, Afterlife, Sapiens and Diynamic all in the last 18 months. They similarly impressed during their maiden WG club gig last October on the Waterfloor. The four-tracker ‚Night Queen’ masterfully manages to eschew a familiar club sound for something alltogether uplifting, nostalgic and captivating, courtesy of their powerful arrangements and strong leads. The title track is driven by ‘80s synths and pop sensibilities, while owning enough low-end groove to propel a dancefloor (or home rave set-up). ‘Moment’ provides just that; a shining jewel of a track, dying to be played at that delicious end-of-night moment, as Simon Batten’s soaring vocal bring the collective masses to their proverbial knees. ‘Enigma’ is characterised by a robotic vocal that slides over sparse drums and a languid synth hook. ‘Antenna’ is a multi-faceted trip that combines synthwave melodies, pulsating electro chords and a slick rolling groove that keeps the track interesting from start to finish.

For the jubilee of the 10th release on Questo, labelhead Francesco Ballato brings together some friends of the close environment for a „Various Artist“ compilation on vinyl and digtal. Mandibula, Stoga, Senoo and Bee Lincoln in collaboration with Francesco represent diverse aspects and musical components. which unite groove, melody and danceabilty for maximum enjoyment.

Side A1 features a cooperation of long-term groove brothers Francesco Ballato and Bee Lincoln. „Daddys Choice“ was born in a jam session and re-edited to serve a full bass load on a summerlicious track. Smart percussion pattern give a nice fluff as a compensation to slant and humorous synth sounds, embedded on positive sphere vibes.

Senoo, who already released on labels like Tzinah Rec., Baile Musik or Whoyostro, comes up with the title „Baby loves Sour Diesel“. An incredibly groovin’ tightness pairs with a deep flowin’ sphere and makes this track super-functional on the floor.

Flip the side and here we go with Stoga, who is in charge for the latest release on Questo. „Arrived“ is a warm-shakin’ and well-tempered tune with a theme-like melodic synth. Ready for open airs.

Freiburg-based Heimatliebe artist Mandibula takes over the warmth and adds a slightly driving rhythm in „Feeling Frenzy“. Known for his affinity in sound aesthetics of generating moods with synth-based elements, he does what he can do the best: an extraordinarily intense and mind-blowing tune for the clubs.

Rising UK-talent Guy Mac makes a much-anticipated debut on Hot Creations in January with the Sonic Boom EP. Made up of three original tracks, the release acts as both Guy’s and the label’s inaugural release of 2022.

The title track kicks off proceedings in an outright party fashion, as rampant kicks lay beneath up-tempo hats to set the tone. Reverberating vocals bounce alongside driving synth lines, before we’re soon graced with the stripped-back sounds of Waku Waku. Tribal-laced percussion opens into pulsing, space-like samples, whilst the enthralling chant of “waku waku” shimmers softly throughout. Rounding off the EP is Don’t Stop, another no-nonsense, late-night cut packed full of 4x4 drum patterns that perfectly encapsulates Guy’s hard-hitting, club-ready sound.

'PULSE 01' is the first release in PITP's new series, which is an ongoing exploration of ambient tech, while offering a more structured display of beat-driven ambient music. Pulse 01 features brand new tracks by SYNE and Influx. SYNE is Dennis Huddleston from the UK, who is most recognized for his ambient work as 36. He returns to his SYNE alias for the first time in nearly 5 years, with only his second record since his 2017 self-titled debut LP. 'Dystalgia' is a 12 minute opus, spread over 3 movements. Soaring pads and razor sharp percussion combine for a dynamic, emotionally charged journey in sound. Showing love to the Detroit greats, but recognising the distinct UK influence which made him fall in love with Techno in the early 90's, it's a surprising pivot in Dennis' sound and one which all lovers of beautiful, melodic ambient techno should enjoy. Influx is James Bernard from the US, who is most recognized for his solo work in recent years. Influx was his trance/techno alias for much of the early to late 90's and released his work with well-respected UK and US labels.

Rising Irish star SHEE makes his debut on House of Disco with a diverse four tracker full of bright ideas, multiple genres and unquestionable talent.

On the A side ‘Our Love’ takes the first spot, an acid-laden deep house cut with enchanting vocal wanderings, before ‘Forgotten’ lets loose, a swirling saxophone disco house heater, shaken not stirred.

Flip it over to find ‘Jiraya’ bringing a touch of trance to proceedings, as arps upon arps suck you in. Finally, ‘Funk, Nah’ comes full circle unleashing the acid once again but this time with a more late night heads down tinge.

It's been a minute since we heard last from Montreal's CLARIAN on KOMPAKT (KOM 356 - ANKH EP ) but by no means has his universe stopped expanding as he released the 2017 full length SYNTH WAVE (BALANCED) and collaborated with TIGA on STAY CLOSE and THEY JUST WANT 2 B U (w/ JAMIE PRINCIPE and FELIX DA HOUSECAT) singles. We welcome back CLARIAN with TIME SAFARI. The majority of the EP was a 2 year long process from recordings made in South Africa as a team effort ofRICHARD MARSHALL, BLANE VENTER and of course CLARIAN (along with many locals along the way) with the 'ambient aspect' of the EP finished in India in summer 2018. By no means is this EP to be perceived as experimental recordings as each club track has a theme that is loyal to the dance floor with a goal of incorporated ambient recordings to create an immersive environment. The aim CLARIAN has with TIME SAFARI is to attempt to empower the idea that club music can go beyond simply being labeled as a genre and club motif but can also explore alternative, creative and most of all be a conduit to bring unity through all variations of art mediums into the night life scene. The ambient aspect of TIME SAFARI is CLARIAN's homage to his heroes. Think if TUXEDOMOON collaborated with CARL SAGAN to create a weirdo version of COSMOS. In the case of this EP - a mega brief journey of human evolution through South Africa.

This spring, Atomnation is to serve up three remixes from Sam Goku's cultured East Dimensional Riddims album. The original full length landed in spring last year, and now contemporary innovators Lauer, Paula Tape and Ineffekt all offer their own unique versions.

Goku sees this remix EP as a way of showcasing the sort of tunes he plays in his mixes, most recently for the RA podcast series as well as for Ransom Note and Live At Robert Johnson. The Chinese-born but long Munich-based artist is an assured DJ who unites his different heritages when he plays. He's someone who taps into the similar emotions and motivations of east and west and does so with a nuanced, storytelling brand of house and techno that is warm and uplifting.

After their track „Etermity“ in the „Music From Space“ compilation last year label boss Marc Romboy and Nice-based French producer Oniris team up once again to deliver us their latest track called „First blush“.

The track comes along as an edgy and rough tech track with a rough but remarkable bass melody which probably won´t leave your head anymore.

On the flip side Extrawelt once again prove why their sound is so distinctive. They pull the theme into a new dimension and add an extra portion of madness.

Kieran has been one of Ireland’s best producers for almost two decades, and when he spoke with Maeve about an album he’d been working on, he sounded a note of caution that, maybe, well, it wasn’t the sort of thing Maeve would like. If this was a shameless attempt at reverse psychology, it worked. Interest was piqued, the conversation continued, and the result was an enchanting, hypnotic album unlike anything heard from Phil, or anyone, before. That album was Life Cycling and it was quickly agreed that this would be the perfect record to serve as Maeve’s first full-length artist release.

Time to welcome the return of Echonomist to TAU, as the prolific Greek producer comes through with a four track selection from his audio lab.
Echonomist exudes versatility, with a discography that includes a wide range of styles, demonstrating his ability to explore different genres with confidence and flair. His last appearance on TAU was a collab with the label heads Adana Twins which hit No.1 in the Beatport Indie Dance
chart. He’s also recently been releasing with Innervisions, as well as Kompakt. Echonomist has honed his sound, striking a delicate balance between emotion and rhythm, injecting authentic feeling into unadulterated dance floor moments…
The EP kicks off with the title track, ‘Get Closer’, a cut that features a heavy-hitting drum arrangement which sounds organic - like a live drum kit. A minute into the track and a heartwarming melody floats in, Echonomist adding layers of synth to increase the deep feeling. With the hefty beats, it’s a highly effective combination that is sure to rouse dance floors into wild abandon when the clubs open up…
Next up is ‘Pothos’ (featuring Mr. Lookman on the guitar), another cut that merges a live band feel with electronic influences. The extended
intro feels like a live on stage jam with guitarists and drummers hyping up the crowd. At just over 2 minutes 30, Echonomist introduces vintage synths, which take us back in time a few decades. As the track progresses, his playful approach produces electrifying moments of tension and release that make this one a special cut indeed.
Then we have two versions of ‘Death Goes To Disco’ (featuring Phunkadelica) to close the EP. The first mix works off a classic disco rhythm, hypnotic, almost narcotic in its spellbinding effect. A gentle build up guides us into the main body of the cut, with a retro style robotic vocal and subtle flourishes of sound to embellish the disco foundation. Giorgio Moroder would be proud.
Lastly, the second version of ‘Death Goes To Disco’ brings us to the end. The ‘Phunkadelica Acid I Love You Mix’ adds a squelchy acid lick to the cut, with high energy drops, booming drums and retaining the dramatic atmosphere of the original. An awesome accompaniment to the original, for those who love a slice of TR-303 (who doesn’t?!).

Heavenly Recordings announce the release of ‘Heavenly remixes 3&4 - Andrew Weatherall volume 1&2’, a brace of compilation albums collecting together some of the finest remixes from the label’s long-time friend, collaborator and go-to remixer. These compilations follow ‘Heavenly remixes 1 & 2’, which showcases some of the label’s other great remixes.

 By the time Heavenly was born in the spring of 1990, Andrew Weatherall was already an inspirational sounding board, as well as a fellow traveller on the bright new road that stretched out ahead, thanks to the massive cultural liberation of acid house. Back then every energised meeting could be turned into a fortuitous opportunity in this burgeoning new underground economy. Bored of your job? Start playing records out! Start a club night! Get in the studio!
Start a label! Just don’t stand still. Commandments Andrew would follow for the rest of his life.

 At the start of things, Andrew was a regular visitor to Capersville - the pre-Heavenly press office run by label founder Jeff Barrett (soon to become Andrew’s manager). It was there that he famously picked up a copy of Primal Scream’s unloved second album and singled out a
track that would later become ‘Loaded’, after being given an instruction to “fucking destroy” it by the band’s Andrew Innes; it was there too that the idea to remix the first Heavenly release
came about.

 Andrew’s mix of that first Heavenly record is very much a product of its time. ‘The World According To Sly and Lovechild’ is a swirling bass punch topped with a hypnotic marimba line and the kind of ecstatic diva vocal that you’d hear coming out of the speakers all night at postShoom clubs like Yellow Book.

 His take on the label’s next release - Saint Etienne’s ‘Only Love Can Break Your Heart (A Mix of Two Halves’) - would set the template for his next three decades of audio exploration. A drawn-out imperial dub, the track builds and builds with a moody intensity (partly down to the
melodica played by Weather Prophets legend Pete Astor) that’s far more Kingston JA at dusk than Kingston-upon-Thames at kicking out time. It’s both a dancefloor record to get lost in and
headphone psychedelia of the highest order - a perfect example of what he did better than anyone else.

 Between 1990 and his untimely death in 2020, Andrew fed more Heavenly bands through the mixing desk than those of any other label. Consistently, he returned visionary music to the
office, often in person for (at least) one ceremonial playback - a ritual that would involve the volume cranked up high and Andrew rocking back on his heels, eyes closed, lost in the alchemy of it all.

 Each time, he would warp and twist originals into beautiful new shapes - elasticated club records that might evoke Detroit techno one second and Throbbing Gristle the next, before wheel-spinning into something akin to The Fall produced by King Tubby.

 Andrew’s studio adventures would always be guided by that early advice to destroy the source material. It’s why he was the first name that came up when remixes were discussed; the first number on the speed dial. Listening back to these remixes now - to thirty years of glorious outsider sounds - it bangs home again just how fucking good Andrew was.

Here's a big reason to celebrate, as we face the 150th release on Cocoon Recordings! That's right, 150 prime cuts with a number of milestones. It's hard to single out any one for particular praise but even so, we still have something very special planned for the anniversary. With a certain affection, we wanted to present an artist from the region so it's with great pleasure that we can unveil 'Countach' from the one and only Butch, as a more than worthy anniversary release. The native Mainzer and sometime Berliner is without doubt one of the most dazzling German Tech-House artists of the moment. His performances contain a full dose of funkiness and his self-made promo videos never fail to entertain, providing a lot of fun in the process. First and foremost though, Butch is an exceptional producer, who, as one of the chosen few, knows how to mix together those special ingredients that drag us onto the dance floor again and again. What's more, since we really have something to celebrate, we don't just have an original from Butch, it's accompanied by a remix from none other than Kölsch! If the term 'man of the moment' applies to any artist then it's got to be Kölsch! At least that's true when it comes to hypnotic techno with a subtle yet seductive touch of trance. Kölsch is currently operating on another level. Whatever he touches turns to gold, turns moments on the dance floor into unforgettable experiences to be written down in the annals of techno. Despite all its terrible tragedies and hardships, the whole disaster that is 2020 has had its positive sides. One might have been Danny Howard’s Radio 1 Lockdown link up. The idea behind it: bring artists together that have never worked together due to time, place or opportunity. So when the dice were tossed for possible collaborations, you might want to think they were loaded.
The Catz ‘n Dogz liaison with Gerd Janson is just that obvious - as is the result. „Modern Romance“ translates to upbeat dance music that neither shies away from vocals nor pianos and is practically the antidote to any foul mood. Or as Gerd likes to put it: „The whole thing was already laid out by the dance music masters that are Catz ’n Dogz. All I had to do was to ask Mark Barrott to help out with some piano work and finish an arrangement. Voilá!“ House music that will sound as great in clubs and parties as it will on treadmills, or on your favorite means of transportation as it does on airwaves and did so on Danny Howards Radio 1 edition.

microCastle begins 2019 by welcoming Petros Manganaris aka Echonomist to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Thessaloníki, the Greek artist has been a fixture of the electronic underground for over two decades. Long a favourite of the world's largest DJs, Petros' timeless style often finds him sitting in a creative space between house and techno. As one of Greece's most highly regarded DJs, Petros has performed with a wide variety of the world's leading acts, most notably Ame, Black Coffee, Carl Craig, Damian Lazarus, Dixon, Juan Atkins and Tale Of Us. Recent releases on Aeon, Connaisseur Recordings, Multinotes, Rebirth and Upon You highlight his discography, while a bevy of forthcoming projects point to what should be an amazing year for the Greek artist. Now making his much anticipated microCastle debut, Echonomist presents his 'Strymonas' artist showcase.

Comprised of four tracks, the 'Stymonas' collection is a blend of astral storyboards and raw analog electronics. Beginning with the commanding beats and elastic funk of 'Grace' before segueing perfectly into the spastic sirens and cosmic arpeggios of 'November Clouds', it's Petros'  technical excellence and boundless creativity which shine through here.

Already a favourite of Frankey & Sandrino and Rampa, it's 'Doudouka' which anchors the collection's halfway mark. A hypnotic piece melded by afro sensibilities and a deep meditative pulse. Rounding out the release is the dramatic title selection 'Strymonas'. Surrounded by much hype after being played by Ame last year, it's buzzing low end, bleepy theme and waves of euphoric tension have been etched in the hearts of dance floors around the world.

With the 'Strymonas' showcase, Echonomist makes an impressive microCastle debut, further demonstrating his uncanny knack for crafting avant garde electronica, complete with inspired storyboards and imaginative sound design that entices the listener to get lost in the music.

Para One presents " Sundial ", the third extract from his new album SPECTRE: Machines of Loving Grace. After " Shin Sekai " and its commanding choir and drums, the chilling skies of " Alpes ", the producer points his arrow towards the heart. The track goes only up, from its hopeful arpeggio, a melodic bassline building higher floors, towering with layers of direct yet fine drawn synth chords. " Sundial " is wide and intimate, nostalgic, and confident at the same time.

The " Sundial " EP offers 3 remixes. Hot Chip draw first with a dance floor ready version, adding their own signature riffs and textures to the original canvas. The " Nodandanintheokotantan Mix " by England born / Berlin based Call Super chooses a playful replaying of the whole piece, changed into an array of micro percussions, reshaping the main melody from bits and pieces, until a plain piano enters the frame. Finally, Para One himself reworks " Sundial " and reveals even more the versatility of the original track, remodeling it into a manifest to dance, elastic beats and house music stabs in hand.

Circles & Stones release their debut EP „Various Gems
I“ with four various artists who, at first glance, hail from
varying corners of the music spectrum.
The EP opens with "Cloud 9", an ode to summer by
Thomas Atzmann. Born in the morning at a time when
the world is just waking up and creativity flows freely, its
joyful tune and catchy breakbeat set the tone for an
uplifting kind of melancholia, tugging at your heart
strings all the while. "Kabale & Liebe", in which O/Y
interprets Robosonic’s original version with his own
recipe for organic grunginess, combines euphoric synth
lines with organic percussions and haunting vocals,
finally releasing the tension that builds gradually within
the track’s own story.
Side B begins with Arutani’s slow burner "Back in Time",
a track that conveys a flavour of darkness that’s never
heavy and always intriguing. The groove is easy, almost
playing with a lightness that permeates the whole track,
all the while alternating with a bassline that gives a
contrasting twang and reminds us of his individual,
pervasive sound. And last but not least, Midas 104
delivers a multi-layered, textured production for a perfect
close called "Quixotopia". The melody cascades into
waves of throbbing synthesisers, complex percussive
patterns and static sounds that are characteristic of his
style, and gives weight to an otherwise floating track.

Our brand new series Systematic Soundscapes is for fans of club music made with highgrade and original synth sounds and without many times used vocal or sound sound samples. All tracks come along with fresh and unheard vibes.

Barcelona to Brooklyn via UK: following two very special releases from Beartrax, for their third release (and second of 2020) hot new NYC label Melodize welcome one of Spain’s most consistent electronic ambassadors, Factor City co-boss Undo, and Cin Cin bossman Fort Romeau for remix duties.

Hot on the heels of his stunning ‘Dark Woods’ EP earlier this summer, Undo comes packing some stunning electronic tackle. Sitting somewhere between Border Community and Underworld, both cuts are lavishly layered as myriad synths bubble and ripple away in their own little co-existing worlds.

Baggy, charming and just nicely off-grid, both sides of the coin can be flipped; those looking for a darker jam will be all over ‘Sixty Days’, a powerful cut where the basses melt into swaggering loose kicks. Need things even darker? Then jump on Fort Romeau’s remix where the kicks are cemented into place with a stark acidic twist.

Meanwhile those of us hungrier for more of a cosmic head trip will find serious pots of gold at the end of the rainbow that is ‘Just One Day’. A twinkling, shimmering odyssey, tracks like these don’t come round all that often. Melodize realise total bliss once again.

Romanian Native BOg makes welcomed return to Watergate Records, joining forces with LKF
Project for new EP ‚Her Song‘.
With a string of releases on some of electronic music’s most compelling labels including Crosstown
Rebels, Bedrock and Diynamic, BOg has steadily forged his reputation as one to watch. Following his
input to the ‚Watergate 25 – Adana Twins‘ compilation with ‚Tribelune‘, BOg returns to Watergate
Records, this time teaming up with exciting new vocal-led outfit LKF Project who have already made
waves with a release on Agoria’s Sapiens imprint.
‚Her Song‘ is driven by the sombre, ambient vocals of the LKF Project, underpinned by its undulating
bassline. It ebbs and flows, gradually culminating to deliver a satisfying dancefloor moment. The dynamic
Dub version of ‚Her Song‘ sees the track’s energy intensified, propelled forward by it’s intricate layers and
breakbeats. The EP concludes with ‚Discrete Class‘, both rolling and introspective, it perfectly fuses the
groove of house with the asceticism of techno, a sound that BOg’s signature style lends him to.

On 'Made of Wood', his ninth full-length album since 2007, Oliver Koletzki embodies the seasoned craftsman, carving out his deeply personal sonic sculptures with a confident, learned hand, while experimenting with a broad range of thrilling ideas and fresh textures. The result is an organically flowing, yet decisively shaped work of art, that naturally concludes a trilogy of albums Koletzki embarked on releasing with 'The Arc of Tension' and followed with 'Fire in the Jungle'.

Initially written in Tulum, Mexico, during the pre-pandemic winter of 2019, 'Made of Wood' is physically entwined with the primeval forests that continue to inspire its maker: In the subsequent year it took to complete the album in Berlin, Oliver, aided by numerous live musicians and vocalists, brought his sketches to life with a focus on wooden instruments like djembes, marimbas, santoors or duduks, sculpting a natural sound that's warm in timbre, rich in groove and literally made of wood.

Thanks to the imperfection of the human hand, the album sings with a bold vibrance that stretches from the LP's slow carnivalesque opener 'Caravana De Los Elefantitos' to the blue horns and Wennink's lamenting coos on the concluding ballad 'Turn'. Intermediately, Koletzki's rhythmic explorations take the shape of mythic odes ('Dear Mexican Jungle'), boisterous tribal dances ('La Veleta'), floor-focussed shakers ('Copal'), handpan-driven epics ('Cryptozoology' feat. Walter Scalzone) or subdued oriental belters ('Serpiente Del Ritmo' feat. ELIH) – emphasising his control over light and dark tonalities, over organic and synthetic sounds alike. Most strikingly, Oliver slowly breaks away from the album's natural feel in the mid-section, in which the disorienting, abstract stunner 'Picture' (with Niko Schwind & Judith Ahrends) rubs shoulders with the synth-crescendos of the bouncy 'Made of Cashmere', while the 14-minute long meditation 'A Starseed's Journey' makes for a powerful penultimate breather later on.

Next to the meticulous attention to instrumentation and his instinctive touch, these twists and turns underline that Koletzki feels entirely at ease on 'Made of Wood' – like the true artisan he is.

GusGus are back on vinyl releasing two classic remixes off their latest release “Lies Are More Flexible”. On one side you’ll find up and coming Egyptian prodigy Raxon’s rendition of “Lifetime” while on the other side you’ll find the already classic Johannes Brecht remix of “Featherlight”. Both tracks will surely please both DJs and fans. Currently being supported on a dance floor near you.

The music of Digitalism is usually in equal parts fun and fanciful, earnest and ecstatic. „Reality 2“ - their debut EP on Running Back - is no exception to the rule. Hailing from Hamburg, the place where Germany’s allegedly first and definitely seminal house club Front was based, their sound might not be a direct descendant of that heritage. At second glance though, it’s not hard to imagine that any of these 5 tracks, if not all of them, would be in heavy rotation, given that club would still be open today. If your underage, any arcade hall would do, too. Take „Trans Global Ltd“ for instance. Like an Italo disco steamroller, it’s as play- as it is powerful. „Reality 2“ might be the pick of the litter. A neuromantic dance floor gets swiped with a euphoric melancholy that could be the tears of joy that symbolize a bygone era or a better tomorrow. Enough with the poetry. A quintet of tracks that are as athletic, graceful and witty as possible. Or to quote Robert Palmer: simply irresistible.

Hanagasumi - hazy curtain of flowers, cherry blossoms appearing from afar like a white mist - this phenomenon can be seen during the sakura blossom in Japan.

Introducing the second Hanagasumi release from Shine Grooves. This time the release has a slightly different sound character. The first side is minimalist and abstract rhythms filled with twisty synth sequences, seasoned with house sauce and stringy keyboards.

The second side has an ambient mood. The first 2 tracks contain soft synth parts and melodies, which are supported by broken rhythms and magical percussion. The final track in the release is reminiscent of the minimal and glitch house of the early 2000s, which will allow you to immerse yourself in an atmosphere of serenity.

Belgium's sweethearts Joyhauser are back on Terminal M with another great 3 track ep! Lamana's pulsating acidline plus a warm melodie with an array of layers are definitely working well on the dancefloor! Vesperi impresses with a dark atmosphere which is perfect for the more soulful moments ! Following his previous excursion Patterns EP, Colyn returns to Afterlife with more interplanetary sonics.

The title cut merges a rubbery low end groove with a cacophony of cosmic FX and a robotic vocal clip. ‘Wait For You’ feels like a cybernetic ode to lost love, with a stirring melody and heartrending arrangement. ‘KL427’ and ‘Lightyears’ are a little more pensive, blending emotive composition and compelling rhythms to tantalise your body and mind.

Over recent years Rome-based DJ and producer Whitesquare has earned a reputation for his eclectic and expansive DJ sets and his cosmic approach to his house, techno and disco productions. Following releases on labels including Toy Tonics and 20:20 Vision, along with his own Whitesquare Series and Versione Lenta imprints,
he returns to Life And Death with a fresh EP that’s bursting with summer positivity.
Life And Death’s first release of 2021, 'Discreet Moment Thing' is split into two parts, with a second installment coming up later this summer. Whereas Whitesquare’s previous offering, 2020’s 'Seventy Days Of Déjà Vu', was a laid back affair created during the first lockdown period, this latest pair of tracks have been clearly created with the dancefloor in mind, drawing on influences from classic house music of the late 90s / early 2000s era when the genre was at its peak dominance of popular culture.
Part one opens up with 'Carte Blanche', giving us a taste of much-needed optimism and dancefloor bliss. On the flip side, euphoric piano chords and a feel-good bassline shape 'Lux Interior', the ultimate summer jam.

Life And Death begins 2022 as it did 2021, with a new 12" release from Whitesquare. 'Discreet Moment Thing Pt. 2' follows part one with another pair of undeniable dancefloor cuts that draw from the classic electronic music that has influenced the Rome DJ and producer throughout his career.
On the A-side, 'Discreet Moment Thing' is a modern update of Eighties electronic disco, with inspirations from the synth pop pioneers of its time especially prevalent through the track's cut up vocals and bassline. On the flip,
'Lady Cherry' draws from the more glamourous purveyors of the 80s synth sound, with its Euro-pop piano melodies, balearic pads and insistent synth basslines.

Carrot Green from Rio de Janeiro is a very nice guy. Actually you can hear that in his music - he's providing beautiful world styles combined with classic electronic elements in a very different way since years.
