House Vinyl New Releases - News

This is the 3rd solo release from Meftah under his own Musha Publishing imprint, bringing another strong batch of tracks for all kinds of music heads. After his debut release 'Information Travels Through', Meftah followed up with a digital beat tape that only teased what was to come on the next record, and with this, he delivers. In true "Detroit Beat Down" fashion, Meftah's 'Life-Like' EP is a fresh perspective from the Motor City, while still remaining familiar to his roots.

Space… The final wasteland for the rich and entitled. A playground for the opulent. A fantasy for the 99.9 percent. A constant source of inspiration for artists. Artists like AZO.

Making her debut on Biologic Records, complete with a remix from Steffi, here we find the talented Belgian artist strapping up her rocket boosters for a four-track trip into infinity. It takes in influences from dark matter to Detroit, black holes to Brussels.

‘Aurora Space Station’ is a beautiful rave-inspired breakbeat floatation piece that sets the scene, poking fun at the mega-rich who can afford to seriously entertain the idea of leaving this planet for dust. More thrust is added by the deep space electro of Steffi’s thumping remix. Both have more power than all the fossil fuel Bezos and Branson have burnt in the last 10 years.

Deeper into the cosmos we probe…. ‘Neptunian Sea’ takes off from Chicago, fuelled on an intoxicating combo of acid and Italo. ‘Love Bus’ brings the anti-gravity heat with a heavy, hip-writhing nod to the jazz spirit of UR’s Galaxy 2 Galaxy movements.

We might not be able to afford a holiday in space, but we can afford great art like this. The dancefloor has always been the most effective place for teleportation. Ready for take off?

”Gateway” The opening track leads you through a universe of cosmic melodies and imagination into a new atmosphere. Deep kicks ride along bubbled bass lines, rave-y stabs, and sinister Detroit strings.*

"LIGHT SPAN" * Huge drum work and clever percussion take us further into the void covered with gorgeous arps & snappy snares. Definitely a sound of the time as well as the future, taking the listeners back to the 90's rave era with its massive bass stabs. Enjoyable journey music.

* "NEBULA 7" *A fine taste of Detroit techno string work and arrangement, the EP's ending track pushes the ear to the final elements of the journey. Haunting voices, funky space bass and futuristic cool. Well chilled and served perfectly as a completion of the EP, this track rounds out the 'Trilogy Wave' series concept of the group in this 1995 popular recording reissue.

Goldbrick Records’ fourth release comes from Privacy Policy. Created in two studios in Sligo & Dublin. This 5 track EP is their debut release under this alias, a consolidation of Orwellian dystopia and privacy delusion.

Keith Tucker and Marty Bonds (Reel By Real) collaborating.

K1 / MARTY BONDS ......A soon to be electro/bass classic, the track gets body’s jumping with a killer bubbly bass line in true 'K1' fashion. Hard drums, infectious bass, alien-like signature vocals to show off Keith Tuckers writing skills...the full package of Detroit funk and originally. Thoughtfully completed with an "instrumental" and a "Bassapella" version for those who like to manipulate their mix.
* "TO FLY"
An electro masterpiece brought to you by the legendary producer Mr. Marty Bonds. Deep street bass dances amongst the spectral electronic percussions and commanding vocal in an intense mission for those who like to get their groove on. Also a head-nod to the"Hellraiser 2" sample that inspired this composition. Heavy stuff as Marty Bonds goes into a whole new bag from his Detroit techno origins... A must hear & have

The 18th offering from Instinct features four different acts, each with their own take on moving the dancefloor. Pinder P has a funky house/UK garage flavour to it but laced with wonderfully deep bass heavy and shaky enough to dislodge fillings. Papa Nugs' 'Super Beagle' delves even further into the raw aesthetics of early hardcore and especially the reggae-tinted futurism of Shut Up & Dance, Ragga Twins and Hype. DJ Crisps has arguably the least retro sound, relying on very steady and sturdy, more US garage-slanted beat foundations, before the EP is rounded off with the bubbling, skippy 'Only You' from Yosh, re-connected with a subtle reggae flavour to its UKG swagger.

Gazing at the stars is looking at the past. The galaxies send you messages from thousands of light years away. That overwhelming feeling is present on Free Andromeda by Timothy J. Fairplay. An album grounded on earth while floating through eternity with a loose connection to the Milky way.

This nine-track record is, as always with T J. F. a delicately balanced mix between dark and light, analogue and digital, vast space and tight basements. With an impressing collection of premium synthesisers and drum machines, TJF showcases some of the most exquisite electronically generated soundscapes heard on this side of 1984. His sound on Free Andromeda can be described as leftfield inspired by various John Carpenter- and Italian horror movie soundtracks together with some West German Kosmische Musik.

Thimothy J. Fairplay, somewhat of a veteran on the label, makes deep and warm electronic music celebrating underground sounds from the last five decades. This album is no exception. For all you introverts dreaming of a life in the starshine – here’s Free Andromeda!

Since the early days of electronic music, white label records have been inextricably linked to DJ culture and the ways in which underground music has been disseminated. unknown - untitled draws on the white label concept withholding details about the producers behind the tracks and leaving listeners to draw their own conclusions about what they’re hearing.

The concept label focuses primarily on vinyl releases, with previews of the tracks available online, but information about the artists only to be found within the record sleeve itself. The roster ranges from new and emerging producers to more established artists looking to explore new sounds.

Going three for three, the label’s third release is a triple threat of heavyweight, club-ready warpers that effortlessly marry toughness, intricacy and emotion. With online personas often eclipsing the focus on music itself, here lies a return to form.

"Tom Smeyers is interpreting his visit downtown with the exceptionally exotic peak-and/or daytime breakbeat banger "Lagunacid" plus a deep and mellow burner for club use by midnight "After Dark"."

4 bits of top tackle from one of ukg's finest, DJ Perception.

Thanks to this mini-LP format, Interface Palm gets to showcase more of his talent. He explores a wide range of influences and offers an overview of his wide musical palette, from broken beat, to cosmic jazz, hip-hop and house music. A true milestone for Interface Palm, this “Curated Space” mini-LP is the perfect example of artists willing to set new standards by blurring the lines of musical styles.

Welcome to the Broken District !

Follow up by Dudley Strangeways on Pleasure Zone. After his fulminant debut ep in 2018, we are more than happy to present you "Er Fracas EP". Highly recommended!

Mariiin is a dynamite DJ and obviously has a fantastic ear for groove and what will work on the dance floor but I know from experience that being a great DJ doesn’t always translate into being a great producer. Fortunately, in Mariiin’s case it certainly has and in turn we all get the joy of experiencing these tracks. Wonderful news!

We Welcome smooth criminals ADMNTi and T. Jacques back to the Dansu Discs family with their split ‘Platform Alteration’ EP. Both sides providing heavy basslines with added groove. If you’re not already ready to return to the dance-floor, then this one will give you that much needed assist.

Artesian Sounds' first release in 3 years comes from Scissorwork. Lots of summer hit potential with house / pop crossover A Hundred Years, plus more functional tunes on the B side. B1 Flourishes is a leftfield bassy cut that works great as a warmup tool, and B2 Identity Crisis features peak time electro vibes.

Scissorwork was one of the first big names in the lo-fi house scene, having taken a break to find his sound over the past years, he returns with a matured sound that borrows from multiple genres with constant crossover appeal through his knack for earworm melody and composition.

Artesian Sounds returns from a similar hiatus, with label heads Aleksandir & Emre Can Swim having taken time to work on their own musical project over the past years. However, with 3 releases planned for 2022 already feauturing updated branding & artwork, new artists and exciting remixes, the label is looking to expand drastically.

We have really enjoyed the launch of our Dirtybird White Label series. So far this year we have been able to release some outstanding records across a wide range of genres.

Up next, the eclectic sounds of the series continues with an extremely talented LA producer, Danny Goliger. Our friend Justin Jay who also helped kick off the entire white label series, turned us on to Danny's music.

Danny weaves a tapestry of sound, vibes and emotion across four pieces of unique, left-field electronica. We love it.

Originally hailing from the Motor City, Detroit, the now London-based Demi Riquísimo lands back down on his Semi Delicious white label imprint and provides a new intricate four-track EP, ‘Mirage Over’. Demi unsurprisingly explores a range of sonic ideas on this EP, from the punchy, breaks-filled title track, ‘Mirage Over’, which blends juxtaposing soft synths and sequenced acid-like top-lines to the track ‘Rocking You Internally’ which delivers bubbling vocal chops and dream-like vocals riding over 80’s style reverbed drums.

Sam Paganini is back with the brand a new album “Light + Shadow”. The fantastic 12 track concept is his fourth full length after 2020's Reflections and is split into two halves, Light and Shadow, with each showcasing different sides to his sound. This innovative format is a way for the artist to dig even deeper and cook up different moods and grooves for different settings.

With a name like Sleep D one might mistakenly assume that this Australian duo produces mid tempo sounds to drift away on. Greasy Beats and Blobs Vol. 1 proves otherwise. For their inaugrual appearance on Cocktail d’Amore we find a selection of warped and slippery sounds mounted onto a skeleton of body shaking rhythm. Phantom opens the record without hesitation launching into sci fi soundscapes and electro inspired beats. Airbags feels like anything but a safe landing as it shape shifts during its runtime without ever losing its sense of urgency to dance. On the B-side we are offered up two very different pieces of electronic bliss. Screw Drive does exactly as the name implies as the incessant bass line digs deeper into your mind and drives you out into the middle of nowhere as lush pads evolve Into burst of cosmic radiation. Young Street perfectly closes the selection with a meditative embrace filled with micro sounds floating in and out of the stereo field urging you to come back down to earth.

4 new tracks from our circles. Love from Arhus.

Robert James’ Body Movement label returns with a double-header featuring the bossman himself along with Kolter. Both ‘Planet 90’ and ‘Planet Funk’ are taken from Rob’s forthcoming LP, offering a sneak peak of the full-length project which is due early next year. Meanwhile, Kolter (AKA Djoko) adds his own touch to the release with a couplet that demonstrates why he’s achieved widespread praise at such an early stage in his music career.

Ewan Jansen,Perth artist, producer and founder ofRed Ember Records, presents his second offering toButter Sessionsfollowing the 2017 EPBest Intentions. The colourful LP from Jansen,Island Library, wraps up the end of the year at the label on a distinguished note -- courtesy of Jansen's 20 years of experience in the Australian electronic landscape.

Island Librarywas recorded over the last 12 months as Jansen returned from a frantic European tour. He was granted a breather with the lockdown, which allowed Jansen the necessary time and space to properly produce his record. The refined character ofIsland Libraryis made clear with Jansen's experiments in structure and tone, distancing his LP from the formulaic and conventional approach to classic house music. Jansen refers toIsland Libraryas a "palette cleanser," an apt sentiment. There's something here for everyone. He has crafted a release to be taken in from start to finish, a treat for eager ears.

The music by Yan Kruau & Michele Ottini was first released in 2017 on 60 tapes only. Subject To Restrictions Discs makes them available on vinyl for the first time. Very raw, somewhere between darkwave and electro with soundtrack elements, the 6 tracks on “L’ultimo Di Noi” explore a yet not so common musical world. This release is limited to 200 copies.

Turn the vinyl to listen Matteo Coffetti in search of a new galaxy, planets are connected to each other through glitchy synths, Camboja draw us a dark scenario with twitchy screaming coming from who?

Closing the various is Hassan Abou Alam the Egyptian emergent artist with triggered voices floating on fattybass.

Lee Gomez aka Wipe The Needle has made music in many complimentary styles.
His debut on Local Talk featured Alex Littmore's soulful vocals and took us on journey that goes beyond the house genre.

This time his bruk roots are heavily featured, sprinkled with a touch of soul, jazz and boogie to create an impressive collection of songs.
Fans of Bugz In The Attic and bustling West London broken beat mixed with grit, this one's is for you...

Naarm (Melbourne) based collective Butter Sessions celebrate over a decade in business with an extensive glossary of talented friends and affiliates pressed on a three-part compilation series. The label has always held the community closest, as exemplified by the 20+ artists featured over the three releases. Each 12" presents a grand soundscape anchored into the tenebrous energy of the dancefloor, with its inquisitive electronics and fierce pulse. If there was a definition for theButter Sessionssound of ten years in the making, the answer lies here.

Dutch producer Danny Wolfers aka Legowelt needs little introduction unless you’ve spent the past two decades buried beneath a Mont Blanc avalanche. His enormous collection of synthesizers, as well as his unwavering love for analogue production tools, justifiably places him in the synth music “Hall of Fame”. Since releasing his first material in the early 1990s, Legowelt has incessantly produced music and continues to display seemingly limitless creativity. As a result he has built an unparalleled discography that also includes an assortment of artist aliases.

Legowelt’s new EP ‘System Shapeshift’ will be released on Lapsus sub label C.E.E., specializing in more club-oriented sounds. The label returns to action after a two-year hiatus, during which time its intrepid explorers failed twice to scale the dizzy heights of Nanga Parbat. Now back at sea level C.E.E.’s head honchos have confirmed the release of Legowelt’s new five-track EP, bursting at the seams with 30 minutes of unrelenting old-school techno, synth house and snaking electro bathed in pure acid. The EP is a genuine time bomb, ideal for the most discerning of electronic music lovers.

Second edition of Night Defined Recordings’ new compilation series launched last year. NDVAX02 gathers tunes of longstanding old hands alongside rising talents. Four songs that find their common ground in a strongly pronounced emotional and melodic level.

In 2022 Listen is presenting its very first compilation as an extension of its year-round Our Scene platform. This release unites a wide spectrum of electronic music on a double gate-folded vinyl. With 12 artists serving up anything from ruff techno to ambient, the Our Scene Compilation sketches a profile of the diversity that characterizes Brussels’ music scene.

For the third record on Club Glow we have our very own breaksmith LMajor, stepping up with a hard hitting 4 tracker, brimming with B-lines and expertly crafted breaks.

The title track ‘Tear My Heart’ has been doing the rounds for a while now, anyone who’s been to a Club Glow show in the last 18 months will undoubtably recognise that hook and those vocals. Certified ear-worm material!

The flip-side features a collaboration with the ever talented Decibella. One of our core crew members, she has shut down the dance at most of our events this last year. ‘Waiting’ has been a staple of all of our sets and we are glad to finally be able to release it to the world!

The EP draws as much influence from 1992 as it does 2022, brining the original sounds and ideas of Hardcore-rave music bang up to date, in a way that few others can manage.
