Nachdem Steve Winwood die erfolgreiche Spencer Davis Group verlassen und die hellen Lichter zugunsten
der Countryside und der Jam-Sessions mit Jim Capaldi, Dave Mason und Chris Wood hinter sich gelassen
hatte, gründeten sich Traffic in Birmingham im April 1967. Traffic begannen als Psychedelic Rockband
und diversifizierten ihren Sound durch den Einsatz von Instrumenten wie Keyboards sowie durch die Einbeziehung von Jazz- und Improvisationstechniken. Bald darauf, im Dezember 1967, veröffentlichten Traffic
”Mr. Fantasy,” ihr Debütalbum, über Island Records. Das Album nannte der Rolling Stone „one of the
best from any contemporary group“ und es ist zu einem festen Bestandteil fast jeder Umfrage zum besten
Album des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts geworden!
Nun erscheint das Album als individuelles Re-Issue aus dem phänomenalen ”Traffic 2019 - The Studio
Albums 1967-74 Boxset.” Aus den Originalaufnahmen remastered und auf 180 g schweres Vinyl gepresst,
ist es ein Muss für jeden neuen oder erfahrenen Traffic-Fan.

Die deutsche Rocklegende Phillip Boa und seine Band Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub, in Zusammenarbeit mit Universal Music, freuen sich, anlässlich des 30-jährigen Jubiläums die Wiederveröffentlichung des
bahnbrechenden Albums Boaphenia anzukündigen.

Im Jahr 1993 veröffentlicht, stellte das Album aufgrund ihres musikkritischen so wie kommerziellen Erfolg eine wahre Zäsur in der Karriere der Band dar und gilt heute als Kultklassiker. So erreichte es in den deutschen Albumcharts Platz 25 und war auch in Österreich und der Schweiz in den Charts vertreten.

Boaphenia wird weithin als eines der bedeutendsten Alben der hiesigen Szene angesehen, welches vor allem Phillip Boas einzigartigen Ansatz beim Songwriting und seine Fähigkeit, verschiedene Genres und Stile zu vermischen, eindrucksvoll unter Beweis stellt. Mit seinem innovativen Ansatz zur Rockmusik und den
poetischen Texten etablierte sich die Band als einer der wichtigsten Acts in der deutschen AlternativeRock-Szene. Gleichzeitig reicht ihr Einfluss auch heute noch über deutsche Grenzen hinaus.

Die umfangreiche 30 Jahre Jubiläumsedition fährt mit edler weißer 2LP-Doppelvinyl und einem 2CDMintpack auf, und enthält außerdem ein nie zuvor dagewesenes Earbook, bestehend aus insgesamt vier
CDs, einem Hardcover-Fotobuch über 52 Seiten und einer 10“ Single auf Vinyl. Zudem befinden sich auf dem Release 10 komplett neue, bisher unveröffentlichte Songs.

Motörizer, das 19. Studioalbum von Motörhead, wurde ursprünglich am 26. August 2008 veröffentlicht und war das dritte Album der Band, das von Cameron Webb produziert wurde. Motörizer war das erste Album der Band, das in den USA auf Platz 82 der Charts einstieg;
auch in Deutschland erreichte es Platz 5. Die Leadsingle "Rock Out" wurde als offizieller Titelsong für WWE Unforgiven verwendet. BMG bringt das Album auf transparentem, blauem Vinyl und als Digipak wieder heraus.

"Alles glänzt" - Das neue Album von Feine Sahne Fischfilet erscheint am 12.05.2023.

Vor fünf Jahren erschien das letzte Album von Feine Sahne Fischfilet, mit dem es die Gruppe aus Mecklenburg-Vorpommern erstmals weit nach vorne auf Platz 3 in die Charts schaffte und im Anschluss das, was man landläufig den "großen Durchbruch" nennt.

Die darauffolgenden Jahre waren sie konstant auf Tour. Feine Sahne Fischfilet nahmen ihre Hörerinnen und Hörer in den Arm, wenn es brenzlig wurde. Und es brannte eigentlich immer. Alles war dabei: Ernüchterung, Suff, Spaß, Agitation, Vernunft, Randale und Exzess. Und weil sich die Band auch immer wieder politisch einmischte und aneckte, ist Ärger bis heute vorprogrammiert und vielfach Dauerzustand. Nazis, AfD und auch lokale und überregionale Rechtsausleger jeglicher Couleur legten der Band immer wieder Steine in den Weg.

Um all diesen Wahnsinn, all diese Ambivalenzen, all die guten und all die schlechten Tage geht es in den Liedern ihres neuen Albums "Alles glänzt", große Songs zwischen Gefühl und Härte. Und auch eine der besonderen Stärken von Feine Sahne Fischfilet kommt auf dem neuen Werk voll zur Geltung: Immer wieder überqueren sie musikalische Grenzen und machen so ihren Uptempo-Punkrock zu einem facettenreichen Hörvergnügen, das nicht nur die Beine, sondern auch die Herzen ihrer Fans bewegen wird. Floating Points began as the solo project of Sam Shepherd before it became clear the immersive, intricate nature of his music demanded expansion. Following his critically acclaimed debut Elaenia this is exactly what happened and Floating Points live became a band of incredibly talented musicians with Sam at the helm. Now, Floating Points has announced a new short film and soundtrack, featuring entirely new and unheard compositions - Reflections - Mojave Desert via Pluto on 30 June. The film, in collaboration with director Anna Diaz Ortuño, finds the ensemble in a thrilling sonic exploration of environment under an endless desert sky.

Whilst we were out playing and exploring the area around us - the sound reflecting from the rocks, the sound of the wind between them, complete stillness at night and packs of roaming coyotes in the distance, it became apparent that we could use this as its own unique recording environment.'

The first in a planned series of environmental recordings by Floating Points to be filmed and recorded at different locations around the world, the recording was made last year, as Floating Points travelled to the Mojave to rehearse in between US touring. Immediately struck by the distinct sonic tapestry created by the rock formations and valleys, Sam and the band set up a recording operation and filmed this new work at the base of the natural sculptures they encountered. The music of Reflections - Mojave Desert mirrors the landscape: soaring and vast, dynamic and intimate, centred around two longer works and shorter pieces that create a singular and seamless experience.

Reflections - Mojave Desert begins with chords played on a Rhodes Chroma and recorded with a surround sound microphone. Throughout the filming, microphones were placed throughout the landscape to capture the natural sonic textures of the desert: the undulating sound of wind, a bird call, the rustling of bushes and more created a backdrop on which much of the record rests. The music softly shifts from the Fender Rhodes introduction to 'Silurian Blue', an expansive full band piece that balances refined restraint with explosiveness. In one scene, 'Kites', Sam Shepherd walks through a valley with a super directional microphone, swinging it back and forth as a synthesiser loop gets faster to showcase the natural reverb and shifting phase of sound waves. 'Kelso Dunes' signals the film's final act: the sky grows dark, lasers flash, the band and rocks gleaming in the pitch black around them.

One of London's most sought-after DJs, producers and live entities, Floating Points has toured with The xx - supporting their record breaking string of dates at Brixton Academy, collaborated with Caribou, Four Tet, and has performed across the globe including festivals like Glastonbury, Primavera, and Pitchfork Festival Europe. Floating Points' debut LP Elaenia was deemed Resident Advisor's 'Album of the Year' as well as Mojo's 'Electronic Album of the Year' in 2015. This was followed by the Kuiper EP in 2016. Sam also hosts the internationally renowned You're A Melody DJ parties and co-runs the Melodies International reissues label.

Here we have the bands classic 2007 double album 'Acid Motherly Love' pressed on vinyl for the first time.

This 2LP set is pressed on transparent orange vinyl, and comes housed in a fully redesigned gatefold sleeve complete with obligatory nudity.


'Acid Motherly Love' is another OUT-THERE ride through Acid Mothers weird and psychedelic world. Guitars howl, riffs grow BIGGER with each minute and brains get fried along the way. Recorded under falling ash and burning roof tiles, 'Acid Motherly Love' features every dimension of their legendary underground sound - from wild riff heavy jams, to quieter acoustic passages and spoken monologues, all capped by the trance inducing 15 minute-plus epic 'Santa Sanrodriguez'.

In the days before “landfill” indie, and in rebellion against a developing Britpop orthodoxy, there were some weird but melodic bands coming of age outside London that drew inspiration from the US underground and the sparkly retro-futurism of Japan. Primitive guitar noise with art rock leanings, post punk DIY and fanzine culture. The best known of these bands was maybe Urusei Yatsura; “noisy stars”, named in honour of Rumiko Takahashi, legendary manga creator.

Back in 1996, after several increasingly well-received 7’s, the band travelled to Leamington Spa to record their debut album with John Rivers, producer of Swell Maps and Glasgow scene godparents, The Pastels. The resulting album won the group legions of new fans and gained them their first Independent #1 chart placing, alongside peers Ash and Super Furry Animals.

“These were fertile years in Glasgow, a scene with no name, no single sound, where the magic thread tying everyone together was words and works so personal, they couldn’t be mistaken for anyone else’s. ‘We Are Urusei Yatsura’ is a cascade of ‘why not?’ thinking. The way ‘Phasers on Stun’ spirals into ‘Sola Kola’; the sunburned 23-second improv at the end of ‘Pachinko’; the slack-echoing strings of the outro to ‘Road Song’ sprayed with the shrapnel of toy electronics. Pure pop magic, Ren & Stimpy on upstairs, ray-guns, Ian’s homemade walkie-talkie speaker, a beatbox, all sealed with a “Talking Tina” doll’s emphatic endorsement: “I love it”” – Nick Soulsby

Something was brooding in the furthest outskirts of Amsterdam. The isolated concrete suburbs of the western part of the city constituted the ideal dwelling place for the writing of De Ambassade's debut album Duistre Kamers. Pascal Pinkert, accompanied by bass player Timothy Francis, searched for new horizons and managed to find them on this next chapter in the evolution of De Ambassade. Icy electronics display a love for NDW, ragas and raves. Beneath the surface lies a deeper Dutch language narrative celebrating free speech and thought, starkly in opposition with a world where alienation and solitude create ever more distance between all beings.
After releasing two, by now classic 7" ep's, a long player will shine brightly. The album release will feature a long awaited live performance with additional band member Mian.

First LP from Donna Candy, the bass-vocal-drums trio trawled from the sub genres of experimental rock and busy pushing to the front of heavy music. Nu metal bass riffs, switch-pitched fuzz vocals and big, splashy drums layer over unsettling narratives and extreme loops to bring a bit of the pit to the dancefloor.

Begun as an off the cuff party band with the idea of finding a live sound that would fit between 4am trance sets, the trio soon found themselves addicted to the euphoric sludge they created. Swapping their usual guitar for a bass, JS Donny drives Donna Candy with simple riffs, split half clean and half shredded with Boris / Sunn O))) like distortion. Head-banging the whole way, they’ll switch speed or stop suddenly, bending and drawing out notes to ratchet things up for release. Nadja's vocals tear through the top layer - heavily processed and warped with weird imagery. Together there’s a feeling of what it might be like to see Sightings slowed by codeine but with Elvin Brandi on the mic.

Always set up facing each other, off stage and surrounded by the audience, Donna Candy encourage catharsis - reciprocally transforming energy between themselves and the crowd. They build a queer euphoria that pulls apart metal’s narrow dichotomy of nihilistic machismo vs. hyperfemininity, and begins to make the visceral faux-hybridity of nineties nu metal feel possible this time around. ‘Blooming’ brings us six offerings from the band on a four way split release that speaks for itself - once on board with the DC energy you’ll want to be a part of it.

Die zwei grossartigen Tracks Untitled und Know It knüpfen nahtlos an das hochgelobte Debüt NOUS an. Das dronig treibende Element der A-Seite Untitled bohrt sich tief in den Cortex des Hörers und lässt ihn nicht mehr los. Das Punkrock-Masterpiece besteht aus 16 Songs, unter anderem mit Features von WILLOW, Lil Wayne, blackbear, Bring Me The Horizon, Gunna und Young Thug. Produziert wurde „mainstream sellout“ von niemand geringerem als dem Schlagzeuger Travis Barker. 2021 gewann Machine Gun Kelly einen Billboard Music Award als bester Rock Künstler. Multi-Award winning, hugely influential musician Feist returns with Multitudes, her sixth solo album and first since 2017’s Pleasure.

Multitudes was produced by Feist with longtime collaborators Robbie Lackritz (The Weather Station, Bahamas, Robbie Robertson) and Mocky (Jamie Lidell, Vulfpeck, Kelela). Blake Mills (Bob Dylan, Fiona Apple, Perfume Genius) and Joseph Lorge came in to mix, with Mills as a co-producer in the final stages.

Multitudes took shape soon after the birth of her daughter and sudden death of her father, a back-to-back convergence of life-altering events that left the Canadian singer/songwriter with “Nothing performative in me anymore.” As she cleansed her songwriting of any tendency to obscure unwanted truths, Feist slowly made her way toward a batch of songs rooted in a raw and potent realism which is touched with otherworldly beauty.

Largely written and workshopped during an intensely communal experimental show of the same name through 2021 and 2022, the songs on Multitudes developed in parallel with and were deeply influenced by the mutuality of the unconventional experience. The production, developed by Feist with legendary designer Rob Sinclair (David Byrne’s American Utopia, Peter Gabriel, Tame Impala) was formulated to bring people together as they re-emerged from lockdown while providing an outlet for connection between artist, art, and community.

First Two Pages of Frankenstein" ist ein spannendes neues Kapitel in der belebten Diskografie der Band. Die 11 Songs wurden von The National in den Long Pond Studios in Upstate New York produziert und beinhalten Gastauftritte von Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers und Sufjan Stevens. Der Nachfolger des 2019 erschienenen "I Am Easy To Find" geriet zunächst ins Stocken als Leadsänger Matt Berninger "eine sehr dunkle Phase durchlebte, in der mir überhaupt keine Texte oder Melodien einfielen, und diese Phase dauerte über ein Jahr. Obwohl wir schon immer ängstlich waren und uns oft stritten, wenn wir an einer Platte arbeiteten, war dies das erste Mal, dass es sich so anfühlte, als ob die Dinge wirklich zu einem Ende gekommen wären". Stattdessen haben es The National "geschafft, wieder zusammenzukommen und alles aus einem anderen Blickwinkel anzugehen, und dadurch sind wir in einer gefühlten neuen Ära für die Band angekommen", so Gitarrist/Pianist Bryce Dessner, zu dessen Bandkollegen auch sein Bruder Aaron (Gitarre/Piano/Bass) sowie die Brüder Scott Devendorf (Bass, Gitarre) und Bryan Devendorf (Schlagzeug) gehören.
