Ahead of making their full length debut later this year, the foursome release a limited Double EP vinyl, merging the breakthrough bangers that saw them rise to prominence. The A/B-Side split features the band's "Empire Records" and "Sponge State" EPs, a succession celebrated by the likes of CNN, The Guardian, Billboard, NME, Noisey, DIY Magazine, Kerrang!, Rocksound, The Line Of Best Fit, Consequence of Sound and clocking more than 6000 plays across international radio. It hasn't taken long for Norway's Sløtface to set the agenda. Every opportunity they get, the fire-starting four piece bring fearlessness and defiance to the table, fusing a pop-punk aesthetic with something new.

The Sisters of Mercy will continue to spotlight different eras of its acclaimed discography this summer with a new vinyl box set that focuses on the band's early years, as well as their last officially released studio recordings. The set includes four 180-gram vinyl records, two 12' vinyl singles and a card slipcase. The first single is a re-recorded version of Temple of Love' from 1992 that features Israeli vocalist Ofra Haza, and remains the Sisters' biggest international hit, peaking at #3 on the UK charts. The second is Under The Gun,' their final release, from 1993, which includes an updated version of Alice'.

This double compilation retraces The Sisters Of Mercy's formative years and their rise to cult acclaim. It includes three songs from 1980: The Damage Done', Watch', and Home Of The Hit-Men'. Also included in this set is the band's 1982 follow-up single: Body Electric' and Adrenochrome.' It also features a cover of the Stooges' 1969' and more.

The first LP's flipside collects music that originally appeared on The Sisters Of Mercy's second EP, The Reptile House (1983). Among tracks are Kiss The Carpet', Burn', and the haunting Lights'. Later that year the band released the single Temple of Love' backed with Heartland' and a cover the Rolling Stones' Gimme Shelter', all of which are included here.

This collection's title comes from a lyric in the Leonard Cohen song Teachers,' a track the Sisters cover frequently in concert.

3 Teens Kill 4 was born in the summer of 1980 in the East Village of New York City. They took their name from a New York Post headline. The group consisted of Doug Bressler, Brian Butterick, Julie Hair, Jesse Hultberg, David Wojnarowicz. There was a conscious decision not to have a front person or lead singer. David made cassette tapes with voices and sounds that he held up close to a microphone, fast-forwarding and rewinding. Julie tried different rhythms on a Korg rhythm machine. Brian played a Casio drum machine and Jesse was on bass. Doug joined the group in time to make the debut album. He was a music lover who understood how to avoid covering over the band's non-musicality.

Their debut 7-song mini-album No Motive' was recorded in Fall 1982 and self-released in 1983. Utilizing rhythm boxes, tapes of news reports, odd percussion tools, snatches of song, they chanted political narrative ideas about the modern mess at the time. The album is an amalgam of urban life, a twisted, anti-rhetorical approach to social issues. Songs weave together to create an intelligent, jarring sound. Razor sharp guitar licks and hauntingly ominous bass lines create a tense, oblique abstraction of pain and chaos. For this reissue we've added 3 previously unreleased bonus tracks. Doug says, These songs are very deliberately an experiment in Postmodernism. Sound bytes were stolen from the airwaves and recorded onto bargain cassette tapes. We were stripping the structure of the popular song to the bone. A sort of sonic Duchamp. And throughout it all, runs a childlike sense of play: the judicious use of toys, the schoolyard chants. All of this was happening during the dark and soul-numbing Age of Reagan, with the AIDS crisis looming on the horizon.'

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios. The jacket features a replica of the original front cover with a black and white photo by Seiji Kakizaki and updated back cover featuring a never before seen collage by David Wojnarowicz. Each copy includes a 12-page booklet with liner notes from each band member, photos, lyrics and press clippings. We've also printed a special 12'x24' fold out diptych painting by David Wojnarowicz whom this reissue is dedicated to.

After the success of Death Walks Behind You (MOVLP1907), an appearance on Top of the Pops, a successful tour, it was time for emerging stars Atomic Rooster to record their third album. The album is a perfect example of a band evolving and in constant transition, such as they show with this littleknown gem of the 70s British rock.

Much less bombastic than the band's earlier releases, In
Hearing Of is almost funky at times. The lyrics are doomladen in the spirit of much of this genre of British hard rock at the time, and pseudo-classical references crop up from time to time, but Vincent Crane's keyboards are generally tasty, and the melodies are often downright memorable.

The album's genre is not-quite-metal, not-quite-progressive, but evocative and very well executed. Although not up to the 'classic' status that its predecessor attained, In Hearing Of by Atomic Rooster is a very enjoyable album for both prog and hard rock fans, and probably the last Atomic Rooster album to make an impact on the emerging heavy prog scene, up-and-coming bands like Uriah Heep, Hawkwind and Gentle Giant would soon command more attention. However, the influence of In Hearing Of can be heard in those band's music, as well as millennial bands such as Wolfmother.

The LP is limited to 500 copies worldwide on yellow vinyl. 'Swingin' The Bottles' combines the Dogs D'amour BBC sessions with a live show from the Dominion Theatre in London from 1990. All new artwork is provided by Tyla and also included are in depth notes and new interviews with the band - this set features exclusive versions of Dogs classics such as 'How Come It Never Rains', 'I Don't Want You To Go', 'Last Bandit' and 'Trail Of Tears' . The BBC sessions were all recorded around the release of the bands third album 'In The Dynamite Jet Saloon' and they feature the classic Dogs line-up of Tyla, Bam, Jo and Steve. The live recording also joyfully captures the chaos and excitement of their incendiary, edge-of-your-seat live performance

Mannequin Records is proud to present a LP compilation of Michael Antener (Swamp Terrorist) early 80's minimal synth/industrial projects Nacht'raum (with Michael Stämpfli) and, as solo, Bande Berne Crematoire.

Heavily influenced by the works of SPK and Nocturnal Emissions, Michael Antener made his first recordings in the basement of his parents house in a small village nearby Bern, Utzensdorf. He started BBC in 1980, a hybrid of Neue Deutsch Welle and noise/experimental, making a household name in the international home recording scene of the time and participating to many tape compilations.

Teaming up with Michael Stämpfli as Nacht'raum, he self-released the untitled mini-lp in 1983. Coming out from the same town of Grauzone, the duo moved into the darkest minimal electronic sounds, choosing German as main language for the lyrics and a Roland Tr-808 as main drum machine, bringing the sound to a proto-electro dimension. Nacth'raum will be historically a real gem in the 80's Swiss underground electronic music, together with Mittageisen, Grauzone, Liliput, The Vyllies.

Michael, by the way, later teamed up with Ane Hebeisen and they went by the name of Swamp Terrorists, releasing seven albums and touring throughout the world until the end of the nineties. At the end of the nineties he sold all his instruments and became independent as a graphic artist.

Three weeks before this trio recorded ESP-Disk's first jazz album, the epochal Spiritual Unity, it was captured "live" by Canadian poet Paul Haines (who also recorded the New York Eye and Ear soundtrack. This is one of the most influential groups in jazz history, a coming together of like-minded innovators who would be considered crucial influences by succeeding generations.

The follow-up to the awarding winning and critically acclaimed DAVID BOWIE 'FIVE YEARS (1969 - 1973)' and DAVID BOWIE 'WHO CAN I BE NOW (1974 - 1976)' will be released on 29th September and will contain a brand new remix of the 1979 album 'LODGER' by long time Bowie producer/collaborator Tony Visconti.

The 13LP box features all of the material officially released by Bowie between 1977 and 1982. It includes the so-called 'Berlin Trilogy' of albums on which he collaborated with Visconti and Brian Eno as well as the 'BAAL' EP, and is closed by 'SCARY MONSTERS (And Super Creeps)'.

The box set, named after a track from the first of the so-called 'Berlin Trilogy' LOW, includes 'LOW', ''HEROES'', 'STAGE (ORIGINAL and 2017 VERSIONS)' the former in the vinyl box will be pressed on yellow vinyl, replicating its original limited edition U.K. release, and the latter of which featuring two previously unreleased tracks, 'LODGER', 'LODGER (Tony Visconti 2017 Mix)', 'SCARY MONSTERS (And Super Creeps)', 'RE:CALL 3' (featuring contemporary single versions, non-album singles, b-sides and songs featured on soundtracks) and the ''HEROES'' E.P., a compilation exclusive to the set celebrating the 40th anniversary of the song, which rounds up the German and French album and single versions of the track in one place for the first time.

Exclusive to each of the box sets is 'LODGER (Tony Visconti 2017 Mix)'. The remix was started with David's blessing before his passing in January last year. Tony Visconti has revisited the original multi-tracks at Human Studios and remixed the album with the benefit of modern technology to better highlight the album's nuances. Always a personal favourite of David's, this version of the album will also feature newly 'remixed' artwork featuring unseen images from the original cover photographic session from the archive of the Estate of photographer Duffy, working closely with his son Chris.

Also exclusive to each box is Re:Call 3, a new compilation featuring remastered contemporary single versions, non-album singles and b-sides, and songs featured on soundtracks. The cover features a photo by Christian Simonpietri taken at Hansa Studios in Berlin during the Heroes' sessions in 1977.

The box set's accompanying 84p book will feature rarely seen and previously unpublished photos by photographers including Anton Corbijn, Helmut Newton, Andrew Kent, Steve Schapiro, Duffy and many others as well as historical press reviews and technical notes about the albums from producer Tony Visconti.

Executive Slacks began in the hot, humid summer of 1980 Philadelphia by Matt Marello, John Young and Albert Ganss, three bored, broke, anxious art students. Starting out with performance art in subways, they soon took their angst-ridden act to galleries and night clubs. The band found their moniker in a run-down bookstore after seeing an ad for men

After years of gigging around the east Nigerian music scene, Foundars 15 finally hit the jackpot when they recruited legendary bass player, Marshall Udo. Charismatic and confident, Udo immediately energised the band, bringing a new funky and psychedelic vibe as well as a bunch of songs he'd workshopped with the Funkees. The tone of the album is set early. Nek Adirika's searing guitar lick announces 'We Are On The Move', a track that is both funky and determined. 'Co-operation' is a horn-driven slab of ghetto funk. 'Cool and Good (For Love)' is a psychedelic wig-out. 'Work To Success' could well be the new-look Foundars 15 manifesto set to music. While Marshall Udo was undoubtedly the catalyst, Co-operation is very much a group effort. Udo, Sony Enang, Nek Adirika and Ike Peters each provide songs and the musicianship of each player is impeccable. Every track is super-tight and sophisticated. BEATE BARTEL and GUDRUN GUT do share history. They were both part of "the first german Punk Band" MANIA D. - John Peel's "Queens of Noises". 1981 Beate continued with LIAISONS DANGEREUSES and Gudrun with MALARIA! - Then experimented in sound and visual arts and released three albums with Matador along with Manon P. Duursma. Now the mature ladies got together again - kind of. Both did 5 tracks for Myra Davies spoken word album "Sirens" (moabit21)- independently as solo artists and producers. Moabit Musik releases a very special vinyl edition: the Instrumentals for Sirens.

They both did new extended mixed which differ from the original recordings.

Beate and Gudrun have gone in different musical ways for 25 years but on this album this does not count. It seems time does not matter. Both sides stand on their own right but also belong together somehow.

GUDRUN GUT is known for her activities in the Berlin music scene since the 80s, with MALARIA! and recent solo work as well as collaborations with AGF (GREIE GUT FRAKTION) and Hans-Joachim Irmler (GUT UND IRMLER). Latest work: "Gudrun Gut: Vogelmixe - Heimatlieder aus Deutschland remixed".

BEATE BARTEL was a part of the experimental impulse that made its way into today's art world and museums. Growing up in West- Berlin, Beate Bartel's interest in sounds and noise made her a sound engineer and she became a founding member of bands like MANIA D., EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN, LIAISONS DANGEREUSES and MATADOR with Gut & Duursma.

MYRA DAVIES: Sirens
"Mischung', the German version of the visual art term "Mashup', describes this dynamic album of Word and Electronica. Myra Davies lyrics lean towards european culture through a lens of feminist authorship. But far from being an academic exercise, this is a Pandoras Box of biting Zeitgeist, past, present and future - propelled by beats, contrapuntal dynamics, broken rhymes, scraps from here and there, and fragments of great white deadmen. It is an acknowlegement, a connection and an affirmation of liberty to cut up any sacred cow. For Davies, clearly the personal is political and Art is even more so.

Davies & Gut have worked together since 1991 on several releases (DAVIES & GUT: MIASMA 1-3) and multi media performances. The last CD release was Myra Davies' CITIES & GIRLS, where BEATE BARTEL composed HANOI and was in parts performed together as part of "Paradiesisches Tor" at the Kulturbrauerei Berlin in 2011.

On SIRENS, Bartel and Gut have each contributed music for five tracks.

Early pioneers of the German New Wave music scene, Din A Testbild were formed in 1978 by Mark Eins and Gudrun Gut (former member of Einstürzende Neubauten, Mania D. and Malaria!). Din A Testbild played a significant role in defining the avant-garde music of Berlin. Legendary is their partecipation at the 'Festival Genialer Dilletanten" in 1981.
Mixed and produced by Klaus Schulze on his own record label Innovative Communication in 1980, 'Programm 1' was a favourite in the playlists of the Italian cosmic dj heroes Daniele Baldelli and Dj Mozart.

This album is in the Billboard top 100 Progressive Rock albums of all time.
The album is consistently featured in among the top five progressive rock albums of 1978, and considered "Essential: a masterpiece of progressive rock music.
Based on the growing science fiction trend, the concept for the album was that, 10.000 years after mankind's self-destruction, a man and a woman travelling in space return to Earth to repopulate it. The tone of the lyrics is of contemplation over mankind's past mistakes and future hopes. Cid's musical style on the record is very similar to the French take on symphonic rock with lots of string synths, Mellotron and a very simple melodic style. Lyrics are sung in native Portuguese. Most of the songs, influenced by a sort of mix combining The Moody Blues and Pink Floyd psychedelia, were composed by Cid, some of them with the help of guitar player Mike Sergeant and drummer Ramon Galarza.

Music On Vinyl proudly presents a second release of the COLLECTED albums. The new albums will focus on memorable artists with almost a life span of original intriguing music, covering a timeless musical period!

The Mamas & The Papas were formed by husband and wife John and Michelle Phillips, formerly of The New Journeymen, and Denny Doherty, formerly of The Mugwumps. The last member to join was Cass Elliot, Doherty's bandmate in The Mugwumps. The group considered calling itself The Magic Cyrcle before switching to The Mamas and the Papas as apparently inspired by the Hells Angels, whose female associates were called "mamas".

They released a total of five studio albums and seventeen singles over a four-year period, six of which made the Billboard top ten, and sold close to 40 million records worldwide. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 for their contributions to the music industry.

The band's first single, "Go Where You Wanna Go", was released in 1965. The second single, "California Dreamin'", was released later in 1965 and quickly peaked in the charts. The band's album, If You Can Believe Your Eyes And Ears, was released in March 1966 and became the band's only number 1 album on the Billboard 200. The third and final single from their debut was "Monday, Monday", which became the band's only US number 1 hit. The song brought the band international success.

In 1966 they recorded their second album The Mamas And The Papas. "I Saw Her Again" was the first single from the album before release. When the album was released in 1966, it peaked at number four in the US, continuing the band's success. "Words of Love" was released as the second single and "Dancing in the Street" was released as the third and final single.

Deliver came in the autumn of 1966. The album featured the singles "Look Through My Window", "Dedicated To The One I Love" and "Creeque Alley". Shortly afterward, a non-album single called "Glad to be Unhappy" was released.

Mama Cass Elliot had a successful solo career becoming popular with hits such as "Make Your Own Kind of Music" and "It's Getting Better".

COLLECTED is a perfect overview of the multiple classic hits and tracks throughout the career of The Mamas & The Papas and complimented with several popular tracks by Mama Cass Elliot.

Finally available again after being out of print for nearly 10 years, this symphonic prog gem dated 1972, tough shelved and unreleased until the first nineties. This is a fantastic album of pure complex Italian symphonic prog with a great interplay between flute, guitar and organ, with strong classical influences , a solid musicianship, really sounding like the big ones (PFM, Banco, Orme and Quella Vecchia Locanda come to mind) of those years. An absolute killer and a must-have for those who have missed the previous reissues.

One of many Italian groups formed during the seventies that proposed religious-inspired lyrics over a soft rock background, Messaggio 73 have released, with their 1975 LP "Una ragione per vivere" one of the best examples of this style. The group was formed near Lecco in 1973, as their name suggests, and had a long activity with their show "E la luce fu", that has been performed all over Italy until 1984.

The group was led by composer and violinist Giuseppe Mazzoleni (not credited as a group member), who wrote all the music for the LP. Musically speaking the album contains a mix of soft rock tracks with religious lyrics and some classical inspired instrumental tracks like the opening "Concerto pop" and a reworking of the "Adagio" by Albinoni.
