Southend-on-Sea based Dark Globes are set to release their debut album Everyone I Know Is Falling Apart, on 17th March 2017, via Half Machine Records

Dark Globes came together at the Railway Hotel, the Victorian boozer at the heart of Southend's creative life, evolving around main songwriters Tom Burgess and Leighton Jennings. Dark Globes played their first show at the Leigh Folk Festival, playing as a 3 piece, without any prior rehearsals. They quickly picked up a third guitarist - Richard Onslow, who runs Southend's South record shop, bassist Andrew Moore (known for his prolific output as The Tumbledryer Babies) and drummer Chris Richardson (who also makes lo-fi pop as Happy Hooves). One rehearsal later they went out playing shows, and recorded their debut album.

Everyone I Know Is Falling Apart is the culmination of all of their disparate influences - indie heroes Teenage Fanclub, the reverb-drenched melancholy of Yo La Tengo and Galaxie 500 and the precise jangle of Felt - but with a distinctive voice all its own, a sound that takes inspiration from all over, but could only come from the Essex coast.

Everyone I Know Is Falling Apart is the first record to be released on the recently resurrected Half Machine Records - known for releasing debut singles by Real Estate, Woods, Banjo or Freakout and the critically acclaimed reissue of Roberto Cacciapaglia's space pop classic The Ann Steel Album.

The Pale and the Colorful is the first album of Internazionale presented on vinyl by Posh Isolation after a near flood of limited tape releases both through his own remarkable Janus Hoved label and through Posh Isolation. The Pale and the Colorful is a logical summary of Internazionales work up to this point and is the prime example of the sensual synthetic meditations he has come to be known for. The clear pop sensibility to his compositions are clouded with noises and ambiguous field recordings and it is somehow hard to really figure out if the music intends to lift us up or hold us down. What is certain is that no Internazionale release up to this point reaches the level of this new album.

Continuing our mission to shine light on the genuine anomalies of 70's Italian production music, Finders Keepers Records resurrects another unlikely transcription disc from the vaults of one of Rome's most esoteric library music archives. This bizarre one-off theatrical project, composed and recorded at Umiliani's studio, was commissioned for a short-run demonic religious performance entitled Tempo Di Demoni, Papi, Angioli, Incensi E Cilici under the musical direction of former Italian psychedelic beat-group member Stefano Marcucci.
Instantly recognised by Flower Records founder Romano Di Bari as having commercial potential beyond its handful of church and small theatre performances in the early months of 1975, Marcucci agreed that they should commit these bizarre recordings to vinyl as a form of preservation with hope of attracting a wider commercial audience through Di Bari's Television and Films synchronisation contacts. Sitting slightly ajar to the custom-made projects of it's label bedfellows (swapping schedules with experimental theme-music by Alessandro Alessandroni, Gerardo Iacoucci and Anthonio Ricardo Luciani) and confusingly sharing an identical catalog number to another collectable Flower release called Ritimico by (close friend) Paolo Ferrara (LEW 0551) this album has slipped under the radar of many Library label completists over the years attracting confusion, scepticism, polarised opinion but nothing short of astonishment at the bizarre hidden synth-ridden psychedelic concept pop found behind some of the most striking duo-tone artwork to come out of Italy's most experimental era.

While we're all still recovering from last September's epic (and now sold out) 'New Cruiser' album, Newcastle finest psychedelic space explorers BLOWN OUT have been busy crafting away their follow up effort 'Superior Venus'. The album is expected to land March 24th on neon orange vinyl (200 copies for UK/Europe) and once again consists of two long head expanding psych outs. You know by now what BLOWN OUT are all about ... and once again it's completely fuckin' epic.

Liv Willars (guitar) and Jen Calleja (drums) met while living in Brighton via Richard Phoenix of Sauna Youth - a band Jen would join soon after - and pretty much immediately promised to start a band with each other when they had both fulfilled plans to move to London. They played their first show at Power Lunches in the summer of 2012 and performed as a duo for nearly two years before Heather Perkins (of Slowcoaches) joined on bass after she moved from Nottingham to London in 2014. Their most recent release was a split 7' with Slowcoaches, released by South London DIY label Unwork Records, and both bands toured together in the summer of 2014.Initially inspired by the addictive quality of the motoric Cold Pumas and jagged doom of Vision Fortune alongside the otherworldly radio pop of Ariel Pink, Feature's first release was a 4-track demo recorded by Richard Phoenix and released on Lindsay Corstorphine's (also of Sauna Youth) tape label Cazenove Tapes. This was followed by 'The Culture of the Copy' EP released by Sheffield label Tye Die Tapes and was also recorded in the back room of the recently closed Tye Die DIY space.
Self-described as melodic-punk and drone-pop, on debut album 'Banishing Ritual' they strike from bare, menacing punk to harmonious post-punk to blisteringly fast garage-pop to ponderous instrumental, showing not only their overlapping music tastes, but also how the band has gained broad influences over the years representative of the diversity of the UK DIY scene from Joey Fourr to Good Throb. Calleja's lyrics are sparse narratives: a love song for a twin consumed in the womb, the stalking of a doppelganger, a rallying cry against the lack of belief in women's ability to be artists, a tongue-in-cheek look at jealousy and bitter competitiveness. Though Calleja provides a leading vocal throughout, all three members sing on most songs to create unmatchable and unexpected vocal harmonies, plus friend and fellow London DIY musician Joey Fourr provides his immense vocal range on two tracks.The band has always been vocal and present on issues regarding women in the DIY scene and wrote/co-wrote a number of essays on themes including sexism in music journalism, musical influence, non-musician roles bodied by women in the music industry, and the representation of women on mainstream versus DIY bills, which was published by Pitchfork.
 
Feature gigged all over the UK and played their final shows at Tramlines/Alternative Tramlines and Indietracks Festival in and around Sheffield and Nottingham at the end of last year. They supported bands including The Julie Ruin, Chain and the Gang, Verity Susman and Protomartyr, played Supernormal Festival, were in session with Marc Riley on BBC 6 Music and their only non-UK show was also one of their final, a joint headline show with Diät in Berlin.
 
Liv has now relocated to Sheffield and has started a new band, Jen plays in Sauna Youth and their alter-ego Monotony along with new band Gold Foil, and Heather is currently on tour with Slowcoaches, with the band having just released their debut album also.

On tour between the release of their first and second long players on Rick Rubin's Def American, Glenn Danzig & Co. rolled into the Palace in Hollywood on July 7th, 1989 for one of the most legendary live shows of the group's career. Focusing heavily on tracks from 1988's epic self-titled debut but also covering track from the forthcoming 2nd LP, as well as Glenn Danzig's earlier groups Misfits, and Samhain, this live setis pure, raw, hardcore energy. Danzig was never heavier than in the early years and this live set is a perfect distillation of their talents. Another ripping live punk broadcast from RADIO X.

Here we get a welcome reissue, FIRST TIME ON VINYL, of Erkin's 1989 album Hay Yam Yam'. Obviously not his typical 70s sound but still quite connected to it, a recommended album for any Erkin's fan. Comes in nice gatefold cover.

REPRESS Recorded at Mantra Studios Chicago 28th March 1977 - Studio recordings of Iggy Pop David Bowie and the band half way through a North American Tour. - During Iggy Pops return to rock n roll after recording the seminal comeback album The Idiot with David Bowie in France the intrepid duo set out on tour together. Bowie preferring to be merely keyboard player than to tour his own 'Low' album at that time. - In the midst of the North American leg they contacted a Chicago radio station who recorded this radio session in between shows. The set is a mixture of old stooges numbers and tracks from the current Idiot LP plus an as then totally unreleased track called Turn Blue which would eventually end up on the next album Lust for Life. - There are a couple of radio broadcast quality live shows from this tour but this is the ONLY NON LIVE session outside of the two albums from 1977 making it a rarity - Remastered Limited edition coloured vinyl plus 7'

In this single you have the alternative version of SUN 283 for the first time in 7" format, Ballad Of A Teenage Queen with the overdubs, as it was recorded originally only with Johnny Cash' voice shack up with two acoustic guitars and double bass, resulting thereof in a good country bopper, more attractive than the version that was edited those days.
On the B Side we have included an alternative recording of Big Rive, less crafted tan the original but with some changes in the orchestration that make it as interesting as the one we are used to.

Arnold Dreyblatt has been called "the most rock 'n' roll of all the composers to emerge from New York's downtown scene in the 1970s." Dreyblatt founded The Orchestra Of Excited Strings in 1979, harnessing unusual tuning intervals to an exuberant performance style. Propellers In Love, the Orchestra's second album - originally released in 1986 on the Stasch imprint, in conjunction with the contemporary art space Künstlerhaus Bethanien - develops Dreyblatt's rhythmically exacting exploration of the glittering resonances and overtones generated by an ensemble of uniquely-altered stringed instruments and drums.

On Propellers In Love, simple song titles - "Odd & Even," "Harmonics," "Bowing" - belie intricate harmonic structures. Dreyblatt's modified instruments - a contrabass and miniature piano fitted with piano wire along with violin, all tuned in just intonation - undergo the Orchestra's rapid, staccato attacks. Sparkling timbres dance above interlocking rhythmic patterns moored by sparse yet propulsive percussion ("Pedal Tone Dance" and the title track). Throughout, the Orchestra's perpetual motion achieves a tremulous and exquisite density.

Thirty years since its initial release, Propellers In Love remains a peerless work of second-generation American minimalism. This first-time domestic release is recommended for fans of Glenn Branca, Ellen Fullman and Charlemagne Palestine.

Die Tödliche Doris was born out of West Berlin's lively post-punk community in the early '80s. Along with Einstürzende Neubauten, Malaria, Sprung Aus Den Wolken and Frieder Butzmann, Die Tödliche Doris ranks amongst the Geniale Dilletanten - which roughly translates as "ingenious dilettantes" - who sought to democratize cultural productions beyond the grip of both Western capitalism and GDR socialism. The Geniale Dilletanten became synonymous with a free-for-all approach to music, film, painting and performance where participants encouraged raw expression through provocation and experimentation.

Wolfgang Müller and Nikolaus Utermöhlen founded Die Tödliche Doris in 1980, presenting the public persona of Doris as a constantly shifting entity that deliberately engaged the contradictions of the human condition. The band often referenced themselves in the third person singular, alluding to Doris as a fully-formed female character with explosive, colorful emotions.

For her debut album - originally released on Zickzack in 1982 and playfully titled " " (that is, blank space surrounded by quotation marks) - Doris most closely entertains the notion of a typical rock band with drums, bass and guitar. Produced by Neubauten's Blixa Bargeld, the thirteen songs presented here are disquieting lullabies of profound anxiety, savage and primitive deconstructions of German polka and manic lacerations of punk minimalism: all reflections of the many and fractured personalities of Doris.

This first-time vinyl reissue includes a reproduction of the original 24-page booklet. Limited edition of 500 numbered copies on clear vinyl.

Melaku Belay runs an amazing club in Addis Ababa where incredible music and dance takes place in the Azmari-bet style. He takes care of the artists, but still keeps a focus on the creativity and social function of a cultural bar. Melaku likes to call the music 'Addis Tradition', which means 'new tradition'. And that how it is. You feel the strong, traditonal deeply-rooted Ethiopian tunes, but you also sense the new generation of great dancers and musicians.

Terp Recordings brought the five talented and groundbreaking members of Fendika to Europe, and recorded this performance at Electric Monkey, Amsterdam in July 2015. All the songs are based on traditional melodies and scales from specific Ethiopian regions.

Throughout years of traveling, John Andrews has documented his life with his home recordings. His first record, Bit By The Fang, found him living in the amish country of Lancaster, PA. On his latest record, Bad Posture, he waves farewell to Pennsylvania and greets the wooded hills of Barrington, NH.

These songs were written slowly and quietly throughout the winter, usually late at night next to the wood stove. It was recorded in Andrews' barn with the doors ajar, welcoming the springtime — inviting the outside noises in. You can hear the crickets chirping and the occasional truck driving by. The songs themselves lend their hand like slow backwoods Beatles demos covered in a thin blanket of tape hiss.

Andrews' band, The Yawns, has been crystallized with staples from the New England freak scene: Rachel Neveu and Lukas Goudreault (MMOSS / Soft Eyes) and Joey Schneider. The album was mixed with headphones at the foot of Emma Critchett's grave, who lived in the Yawns' house during the 1800s. The record is an ode to her and all who have lived there. It paints a picture of living in the freecountry' on the precipice of a rapidly changing political climate.
