Joakim Ahlund has been a member of both internationally successful
groups Caesars and Teddybears and is responsible for evergreens such
as Jerk it out (Caesars) and Cobrastyle, Punkrocker, Hey Boy
(Teddybears) as well as starting and being the main driving force behind
projects like the more space rock oriented Les Big Byrd, indie pop two
man orchestra Smile (With Björn Yttling from Peter, Björn and John)
He has also worked as a songwriter and producer for numerous other artists like
for example Robyn, Giorgio Moroder, Charlie XcX and Håkan Hellström etc.
Jockum Nordström is one of Swedens most internationally acclaimed visual
artists and has had successful exhibitions at museums like the MoMA in NYC
and prestigious art fairs and museums in Paris, Berlin, Japan and all over the
world. The two friends met when Joakim asked Jockum to make the cover art for
his band Caesars' albums. When Joakim found

‘The Solution Is Restless’ was written and recorded with
Joan, Dave Okumu and legendary drummer Tony Allen
shortly before he sadly passed away.
 Of the album, Joan Wasser says: “Damon Albarn who
features on the song ‘Get My Bearings’ introduced me to
Afrobeat legend, Tony Allen, at the March 2019 Africa
Express event The Circus and we hit it off. Tony and I played
a version of Nina Simone’s ‘I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel
To Be Free’ and decided to record together. I asked my old
friend and fierce musician, Dave Okumu, to join from London
and that November, in a Parisian studio, we improvised all
night. When the world shut down, I used those recordings to
write a record entitled ‘The Solution Is Restless’.”
 In a year when most of the world pressed ‘pause’, Joan has
been making and releasing new music. She wrote and
recorded with Damon Albarn for the Gorillaz ‘Song Machine’
album, released her second album of covers (‘Cover Two’)
and her first live album, ‘Live’.
 Tony Allen was the drummer and musical director of Fela
Kuti’s band Africa ‘70 from 1968 to 1979, and was one of the
primary co-founders of the genre of Afrobeat. Fela once
stated that, “without Tony Allen, there would be no Afrobeat”
and he was described by Brian Eno as “perhaps the greatest
drummer who has ever lived.” Besides many other musical
milestones and collaborations, in recent years Tony teamed
up with Damon Albarn, Paul Simonon and Simon Tong to
form The Good, the Bad & the Queen.
 Dave Okumu is best known for fronting the Mercury Music
Prize nominated The Invisible and, more recently,
announcing the release of a solo album, ‘Knopperz’.

Joan Baez – a singer, activist and pacificist committed to the struggle against all segregation – recorded her first album in 1959 at the age of eighteen. Catalan singer-songwriter Joana Serrat returns with new album ‘Hardcore From The Heart’, out June 11 on Loose Music. Serrat’s fifth album, ‘Hardcore From The Heart’ is the follow-up to 2017’s acclaimed ‘Dripping Springs’ (“…like Mazzy Star guesting on an early Neil Young demo,” Mojo). For the recording, Serrat travelled from her home in Vic, a small city near Barcelona, to Redwood Studio in Denton, Texas, where she teamed up with engineer and producer Ted Young (Kurt Vile, Sonic Youth, Lee Ranaldo).

Produziert wurde es von Taylor Skye selbst. "I<3UQTINVU", eine Abkürzung für I Love You Cutie, I Envy You, wird am 3. November über Rough Trade Records veröffentlicht. Der erste neue Track "Red Eye" (feat. IAN STARR) ist ab sofort erhältlich. "I<3UQTINVU" wird auf schwarzem Standard-Vinyl und in limitierter Auflage auf rotem Vinyl erhältlich sein, mit einem nach Parfüm duftenden Inlay. Das Remix-Album basiert auf der Idee von Skye, der mehrere Versionen des Original-Tracklistings des Albums gemacht hatte, um sich während des Schreibens von "I Love You Jennifer B." inspirieren zu lassen. Die Gastbeiträge auf dem Remix-Album reichen von Ersatz, den beiden britischen Musikern, die Skye vor vielen Jahren zum Musikmachen inspiriert haben, bis hin zu IAN STARR, mit dem er sich erst vor ein paar Monaten via Zoom getroffen hat.

Featuring the ace guitar playing of Rod Alexander plus two lead singers - one white (Bill Kimber) - one black (Earl Jordan) - their music blended heavy-rock, blues and proto-metal.
In 1971 they released their sole self-titled album, produced in London by Derek Lawrence (Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash...) and engineered by Martin Birch (Black Sabbath, B.O.C...).
For some strange reason, the album never saw a UK release, being available only in the US and New Zealand and housed in a cryptic packaging — the cover shows a man with a bicycle, without band photos or band details.

The album known as Escape was originally released on the New York No Wave label in 1981, and has never been reissued in any form since. Sorcerer presents a first-time reissue of this very special recording this May.
Remastered by Mikey Young and fully authorised by Jody Harris and Robert’s brother, Van, it is to be reissued in an edition of 600 copies. Jody made his name on the NY scene mainly through his work with the legendary avant-funksters, THE CONTORTIONS, while Robert Quine, who sadly passed away in 2004, was one of the most acclaimed guitarists of his day, noted for his work with RICHARD HELL & THE VOIDOIDS, LOU REED, TOM WAITS, JOHN ZORN, MATTHEW SWEET and many more.

The two recorded Escape in Quine’s apartment with a whopping budget of $7 (that’s what it cost Quine for the tape). The album sees them both engaging in guitar duels over a primitive drum machine, a kind of skeletal minimal-synth with avant-guitar excursions overhead. Outward-bound yet wholly listenable, the five tracks represent a great lost gem of the NYC underground scene of the day.

This edition also comes with an inner sleeve featuring liner notes from Jody Harris detailing the recording, as well as exclusive photographs of the two.

Joe Cocker Live is a superb live album by Joe Cocker, released in 1990. It was recorded on October 5th, 1989 at Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts with the exception of the last two tracks which were recorded in the studio.

The album features tracks by Dave Mason (“Feelin’ Alright”), Randy Newman (“Guilty”, “You Can Leave Your Hat On”), The Beatles (“With A Little Help From My Friends”), and the Dennis Wilson / Billy Preston penned hit “You Are So Beautiful”.

The album went platinum in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and achieved gold status in France. Available as a limited edition of 2500 individually numbered copies on transparent red vinyl.
