An original member of Soft Machine, Kevin Ayersd
embarked on a solo career following a US tour with the
Jimi Hendrix Experience in 1968. He was one of the first
signings to EMI’s Progressive imprint Harvest and recorded
his debut album in the Summer of 1969 at Abbey Road
studios.
‘Joy Of A Toy’ is a classic of psychedelic and progressive
rock, featuring contributions from his former Soft
Machine band mates, David Bedford and such wonderful
songs as ‘The Lady Rachel’, ‘Stop This Train (Again Doing
It)’, ‘Girl on a Swing’ and ‘All This Crazy Gift of Time’.
This official gatefold LP vinyl edition fully restores the
original LP artwork, has been remastered from the
original Harvest master tapes and has been cut at Abbey
Road studios.

A founder member of SOFT MACHINE, Kevin embarked on
a solo career in 1969, signing to EMI’s Harvest label, for
whom he would record a series of wonderful and
stylistically eclectic albums.
‘WHATEVERSHEBRINGSWESING’ was issued in November
1971 and saw contributions from David Bedford, Robert
Wyatt and Mike Oldfield.
Featuring such classic tracks as ‘Stranger in Blue Suede
Shoes’, ‘Song from the Bottom of a Well’ and
‘Whatevershebringswesing’, the album is regarded as one
of Kevin’s finest.
This new vinyl edition of this classic album has been
remastered from the original tapes and was cut at Abbey
Road Studios. It fully restores the original LP artwork.

Leider verstarb der Künstler, der nie ein Star sein wollte, im Dezember 2004 und konnte die Veröffentlichung seines Werkes nicht mehr miterleben. Begleitet wurde er bei der Aufnahme von Andreas Blüml und Michael Lipton (Akustik- und E-Gitarre), Harry Hirschmann (Bass) und letztendlich Werner Steinhauser am Schlagzeug, der maßgeblich an der Produktion beteiligt war. Dass dieses Album das letzte von über 50 Vorgängern sein sollte, konnte zu dem Zeitpunkt niemand ahnen. Umso mehr verdiente es den Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, der ihm posthum 2006 verliehen wurde. Nach zahllosen Tourneen und Auftritten, vornehmlich in seiner Wahlheimat Deutschland, wohin es ihn in den Achtzigern verschlagen hatte, hinterlässt er eine treue Fangemeinde, die den rebellischen, manchmal kauzigen, aber immer authentischen Musiker, Lyriker, Maler und Buchautor aus UK, niemals vergessen wird. Aus einem seiner letzten Interviews vor seinem Tod: "Lieder zu schreiben ist ein bisschen eine technische Übung, vor allem aber eine Form der Selbsttherapie. Auch wenn ich nicht in die Liga der Stars vordringen wollte, so war es mir doch wichtig, mir einen Namen zu machen."

French lullabies and traditional folk songs dating as far back as the 14th century, adapted with contemporary arrangements and faint tape manipulations in Dublin, Ireland.
Imagine Serge Gainsbourg, John Martyn and Gábor Szabó squeezed on a small stage in the early hours of a smokey backstreet Parisian jazz club, slowly hypnotising the audience into hypnagogic hallucinations.
Growing up, Kevin Fowley split his time between living in France and Ireland. He listened to French lullabies sung by his mother in one room, while his father would be playing Donegal tunes on the fiddle in another. “I’m lucky to have been brought up bilingual and bicultural,” he says. “What I find interesting is that I usually think in English, but if I intentionally start thinking in French, a markedly different side of my personality comes through, encouraging different thought patterns.”
And this is apparent on his beautiful record of French lullabies À Feu Doux, which encompasses musical elements from both worlds, as it seamlessly glides across folk, jazz, and a rich yet shimmering in between sound. Varnished and exposed is the feeling that floats through À Feu Doux like a gentle gust of wind creeping in through the open window at night. Real night time music.

“Friends! I am so pleased to announce ‘A Night At The Little Los
Angeles’ - the 4-track version of ‘Sundowner’. Recorded at
home and in my back shed - aka The Little Los Angeles - in
suburban Kansas during the summer and winter seasons of
2017 and 2018. This is quite simply the sound of me alone in a
room with a four-track to catch my songs as they fell out of my
mouth. When I later went into a proper studio to make
‘Sundowner’ my goal was to capture the essence of these initial
recordings, and here you will now have access to the very
essence I was chasing.

“In many ways, this feels like a proper album to me, as it’s my
initial attempt to capture the Kansas sunset and put it into
sound, whereas ‘Sundowner’ was an attempt of an attempt. I
love and am proud of them both, of course, but am happy to -
for the first time - share this vulnerable side of my songwriting
process with the public. Many of my favorite recordings have
been made inside of an artist’s home without regard of the
outside world, but instead deep in their own world that they’re

Released in 2020 on Dead Oceans, ‘Sundowner’, with Morby’s
distinctively conversational and reflective writing style, was
received with open arms and was beloved by fans and critics
alike. Pitchfork lauded it as “a vision of the Midwest that feels
mythical and enormous.” ‘Sundowner’’s vision was further
fleshed out in comprehensive features in Vanity Fair, New York
Magazine, Stereogum, The FADER, Vice, Aquarium Drunkard,

In addition to traditional music publications, Morby appeared on
Adult Swim’s Fishcenter and Office Hours with Tim Heidecker.
Morby also made his network television debut on CBS This
Morning, where he performed the songs ‘Campfire’ and
‘Sundowner’ as part of a special joint performance with his
partner and fellow songwriter Katie Crutchfield, aka
Waxahatchee.

Kevin cut his teeth in the early 2000’s as a teenager playing guitar in a revamped lineup of original 70’s-era Los Angeles punks The Skulls. Then he started up the rock group Prima Donna, moving to center stage as lead singer. Prima Donna toured relentlessly, slowing down only to knock out a few records along the way & strike up a band-romance with Green Day who took them on tour a few times. That connection led to Kevin joining forces on guitar with Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong on two side-hustle bands over the years; Foxboro Hot Tubs (in 2008) and The Longshot (in 2018). In 2019, Kevin joined the Green Day band as touring guitarist/backing vocalist. I was at Dodger Stadium the last time I saw Kevin Preston. There he was, that sweet kid from the Valley who I met at the turn of the century when we were on the Warped Tour together, now plying the boards at Chavez Ravine with Green Day. Man, the fuckin’ Beatles played their 2nd to last show ever there back in 1966! But along with all that stadium rock, our boy is now moonlighting as a solo artist & going back to the basics.... So, dig these new numbers & enjoy the ride, baby!

albums to date & have successfully toured with bands such as Satyricon &
Behemoth in the past. Khold is also notable for their use of old Norse for songtitles & lyrics. 'Masterpiss Of Pain' was Khold's debut album, released in 2001 on
Moonfog Productions & was recorded at Panser Studios (Arcturus, Chrome
Division, Fleurety) in Oslo.
'Masterpiss Of Pain' also features a guest appearance by Galder (Old Man's Child,
Dimmu Borgir) on the track 'Rovnatt'.

Founded in 2012, the Kid Colling Cartel (named in reference to the Colombian origins of the frontman) consists of Kid Colling (vocals and guitar), Alex Logel (organ and keyboard), David Franco (bass), and Florian Pons (drums). Describing their style as "Alternative Rock Blues," the band primarily performs Colling"s compositions and draws inspiration from various genres such as groove, funk, and especially rock-never abandoning its blues roots. The harmony and musical camaraderie of the group on stage are undeniable, with Kid Colling, primarily a guitarist, standing out for his charisma and a recognizable voice that he can modulate at will. It is important to him not to confine the Cartel to a specific style but to address a broad audience that can easily appreciate their music without necessarily being devoted to pure blues. Recorded and mixed with Jim Waters (Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Sonic Youth, etc.) at Waterworks Recording in Tucson AZ, the track “Sean DeLear” is a tribute to the late, magical, and ubiquitous Los Angeles underground institution named Sean DeLear. This rocking song uses the metaphor of those passed on as swinging from a chandelier, a festive image everyone hopes is true! Side two of this 12-inch is a fourteen-minute psych, Chicano-groove titled “He Walked In.” The text is based on a visceral fever dream Kid had about his friend and Gun Club bandmate Jeffrey Lee Pierce, who passed away in 1996. Leading the listener back to the theme of feelings sustained between life and memory, the song dreams on as the band spreads their monkey bird wings, featuring Mark Cis-neros on flute, and guest tambourine-queen Cesar Padilla—lost in music but found in sound. Regardless of who he's working with Kid Millions radically redefines the drums as an instrument. Jan St. Werner has consistently remained at the vanguard of electronic music. In his work as one half of the visionary duo Mouse On Mars, as well as his acclaimed solo work both as a composer and sound artist, and in collaborations with The Fall's Mark E Smith, Oval's Markus Popp, Stereolab, and The National St. Werner constantly pushes the limits of recorded sound. Together, Millions and Werner have crafted a monument of unpredictable beauty built on breathless forays into the unknown. Kikagaku Moyo startete im Sommer 2012 auf den Straßen Tokios. Die wechselnden Dimensionen von ,Masana Temples", dem vierten Album der psychedelischen Entdecker Kikagaku Moyo, sind geprägt von verschiedenen Erfahrungen, die die Bandmitglieder auf ihrer gemeinsamen Reise durchs Leben gemacht haben, von der monatelangen Tournee bis zur Pilgerreise nach Lissabon, um das Album mit dem Jazzmusiker Bruno Pernadas aufzunehmen. Die Band suchte Pernadas sowohl aus Bewunderung für seine Musik als auch in der Absicht, mit einem Produzenten zusammenzuarbeiten, der aus einem ganz anderen Umfeld kam.
