Nik Kershaw came to prominence in 1984 as an artist. After releasing his solo debut album Human Racing in February
1984, Kershaw’s career went into hyper overdrive. He released eight singles that entered the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart during the decade, including “Wouldn’t It Be Good”, “Dancing Girls”, “I Won’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me”, “Human Racing”, “The Riddle”, “Wide Boy”, “Don Quixote” and “When a Heart Beats”. Kershaw follow-up album The Riddle came out only nine months later and he appeared at the dual-venue concert Live Aid in 1985.

who didn't take the traditional country artist path. Her backwoods roots are
undercut by her chosen career as a fashion entrepreneur (she's the owner of
vintage clothing boutique High Class Hillbilly) who has lived " and been
heartbroken in " Los Angeles, New York and Nashville. So it's no surprise that her
music seamlessly crosses musical genres with lyrics steeped in the doomed
perseverance only a true dark horse romantic knows. Lane's rapid rise in music is
thanks to the fervent critical acclaim of her debut record Walk of Shame and

With songs that crucify ex-boyfriends, celebrate one-night stands (as long as she
can bolt town right after) and proclaim it s always the right time to do the wrong
thing, Lane comes across like a modern- era Wanda Jackson, albeit with more
oats to sow. "My songs always paint a pretty clear picture of what s been going
on in my life, so this is one moody record," she says. "There s lots of talk of
misbehaving and moving on."

Nile Marr is the son of former Smiths guitarist and current solo artist
Johnny Marr and his wife Angela
He was named for one of his father's musical heroes, Chic's Nile Rodgers. Marr
started out as a solo artist, then as a duo with American singer- songwriter
Meredith Sheldon, and then in the trio Man Made, alongside drummer Scott
Griffiths and bassist Callum Rogers, with future tour manager for Blossoms, Dan
Woolfie, as their sound engineer. They released their debut album TV Broke My
Brain in 2016, although its constituent songs were written over a period of eight
years. Marr released a debut solo album in 2020, titled Are You Happy Now? 'Part
Time Girl' was released as its first single in 2019. 'Are You Happy Now?' followed
in June 2020. An EP, Still Hearts, was released on 24 April, 2020. 'Still Hearts' was
its first single. Aside from the title track, there are two other tracks: 'Hush' and
'The Pusher'. Marr added acoustic guitar and backing vocals on 7 Worlds Collide's
2009 album The Sun Came Out. He has also appeared on two of his father's
albums: on 2013"s The Messenger he plays as a soloist, while on 2014"s Playland
he adds backing vocals. Marr has toured extensively with German film score
composer and record producer Hans Zimmer. His influences include John
Martyn, Fugazi and Elliott Smith.

Having toured the world with Hans Zimmer’s live since 2016. Manchester born guitarist and songwriter and son of Manchester music legend Johnny Marr. Nile Marr returned to his hometown of to work on his new debut solo album.

Having been brought up on the likes of Modest Mouse, Talking Heads and Broken Social Scene, Nile’s influences were there for all to see on his critically acclaimed album ‘TV Broke My Brain’. Released under the name Man Made in April 2016, Nile and his band spent years on tour transforming themselves into an accomplished live force. Building a cult like grassroots following in his hometown. Now under his own name, after a slew of successful E.P releases Nile has firmly established himself as one to watch out for as a rising star in Manchester. 'Are You Happy Now?’ was written underneath a club on Oldham Street with the energy of the city above him prior to lockdown, this album is an energetic and emotional dedication to the people of Manchester and all fellow indie heads.

In der ehemaligen DDR als Tochter der Schauspielerin und Sängerin Eva-Maria Hagen geboren, hatte Nina Hagen von Jugend an gegen ein bevormundendes System ankämpfen müssen. Trotzdem kann sie sogar auf einige dortige Hits zurückblicken. Die Situation eskalierte jedoch, als der Liedermacher und Ehemann der Mutter, Wolf Biermann, nach einem Auftritt in Westdeutschland nicht in die DDR zurückkehren durfte. In der Folge verließen auch Nina und ihre Mutter die DDR. In Berlin (West) gründete sie schließlich die "Nina Hagen Band".

Das selbstbetitelte Debütalbum traf den Nerv der Zeit und kratze an der Top 10 (#11) der BRD Charts, eroberte im Nachbarland Österreich die Top 25 (#24) und durfte (natürlich) in Ostdeutschland nicht verkauft werden. Kennen und lieben tat es die dortige Jugend dennoch. Nicht zuletzt durch das unerschrocken und wilde Auftreten der Sängerin, dem zeitgemäßen, innovativen Mix aus Punk, Rock und irgendwas zwischen Oper und Freistil, sowie der textlich von ihren ersten Westeindrücken ("Ist alles so schön bunt hier") geprägten Coverversion des The Tubes Kultklassikers "White Punks on Dope" („TV-Glotzer") machte die Nina Hagen auch international schnell auf sich aufmerksam und konnte neben großer Anerkennung z. B. auch eine Gold Auszeichnung für den Erfolg des Debut Albums in Holland verbuchen. Neben „TV-Glotzer“ liest sich die Titelliste des Albums mit „Rangehn“, „Unbeschreiblich weiblich“, „Auf’m Bahnhof Zoo“, „Superboy“ und anderen rückblickend fast schon wie eine „Best Of“.

Mit dem Nachfolge Album „unbehagen“, gelang was vielen Zeitwerken gefeierter Debüts nicht gelang, das Album schob sich mühelos bis auf Platz 2 der Verkaufscharts (und auch in Österreich auf den hervorragenden Platz 9). Als „Frontfrau“ besetzte Nina Hagen damit eine Position in der internationalen Punkszene, die sie auf gleiche Höhe mit Ikonen wie Patti Smith brachte. Noch immer ist sie weltweit für Ihre ganz besondere Art und Ihren außergewöhnlichen Stil bekannt.

Das Album „unbehagen“ selbst weist wie das Debut mit u. a. „African Reggae“, der deutschen Lene Lovich Coverversion „Wir leben immer…noch“ (Lucky Number) oder „Auf’m Rummel“ eine weitere Reihe von inzwischen zu Klassikern gewordenen Hits auf.

Bleach was the 1989 album where it all began for Nirvana. Bleach has been remastered, and is reissued here on black vinyl single LP.
This is the band’s only release on the Sub Pop label and the also the only album to feature Chad Channing on drums.

On the 5th April, Geffen/UMe will release Nirvana's LIVE AT THE PARAMOUNT on vinyl for the first time ever. This will also be the first time as a stand-alone audio release outside of its inclusion as bonus material on the NEVERMIND 20th Super Deluxe Edition.

Both vinyl formats will include a 12×24' poster insert and a sticky cloth VIP pass replica of the original pass used that very night of the concert as the vinyl download card insert. The download instructions will be on the paper backing, not on the pass itself.

Live At The Paramount was the only Nirvana show ever to be shot on 16mm film, and was recorded at the Paramount Theatre (obviously) in Seattle on October 31, 1991.

Commemorating the 30th anniversary of Nirvana’s seminal 1991 release, the Nevermind 8LP Super Deluxe contains 8 180-gram LPs showcasing the newly remastered album from the original analog tapes and 4 concerts on the Nevermind Tour from Amsterdam, Netherlands; Del Mar, California; Melbourne, Australia and Tokyo, Japan. Also included is a first-ever 7-inch for “Endless, Nameless” with B-sides “Even In His Youth” and “Aneurysm,” and a 40-page hardcover book with unreleased photos.

The Nits 1986 album Henk is considered as one of their best studio albums. Three years after their highlight Omsk they recorded an album which is constructed by the use of samples and surrealistic sounds. “Port of Amsterdam” and “Bike in Head” are two examples of how their sounds changed during the years. The album was recorded as a three-piece, because Michiel Peters (guitar) left the band. The layered song “Bike In Head” became a fan favorite, sunny and sparkling in every way possible. Henk is a must have for every Nits and pop music fan.

The Nits are a Dutch art-pop-rock group, founded in 1974 in Amsterdam. Their musical style has varied over the years, as has their line-up, but the core members are lead singer and lyricist Henk Hofstede, Robert Jan Stips on keyboards (worked with Supersister, Gruppo Sportivo, The Golden Earring) and Rob Kloet on drums.

Henk is available as a limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies on transparent vinyl.

Nit’s album dA dA dA can be linked to heavy subjects as the dead, war, and getting older. The record itself is a really poppy one and it was the comeback of their rhythm guitar and synthesisers. It’s closely related to the sound of the Beatles and vocally Henk Hofstede’s voice and phrasing sound very similar to John Lennon. Robert Jan Stips’ keyboard work creates a great ambience and layered sound together with the guitars. dA dA dA is definitely one of the finest albums by the Artistic Dutch band.

Ting was released in 1992. The band decided to record the songs with mainly piano and percussion accompaniment. Hofstede put his guitar aside, Stips did not touch his extensive library of sounds and samples and Kloet did not played the drum-set, but played orchestral percussion instruments. Guest musicians were invited for most songs (mainly bass and cello) and on some songs 'Klangsteine' (musical stones), works of art by the Swiss sculptor Arthur Schneiter, were used. These stones could be played with mallets, which explains the title of the album. They could also be rubbed by hand to create a buzzing sound. On the album the entire band plays the stones, together with Schneiter and friend Swiss percussionist Fritz Hauser. The music is often quiet and melancholic, but also contains some strong pop songs, including the cheerful "Soap Bubble Box", the lyrics of which were inspired by the artist Joseph Cornell and the Nits classic "Cars And Cars". The lyrics are often introverted and/or abstract, even poetic and much less immediately understandable than on previous albums. Ting is available as a limited edition of 500 copies on silver coloured vinyl and includes an insert with additional pictures provided by the band.

First thought, best thought. Until the next thought: a guiding principle for No Age in the 16ish years they've been around. Constantly responding to their own streams of consciousness with reductive flexibility, they've taken the basic duo of guitar and drums with vocals WAY farther than anyone listening in halcyon Weirdo Rippers days could have guessed. Expounding on those larval possibilities, they've zig-zagged in serpentine precision, in and out of the teeth of the wringer - ranging outside and back in again, as befits the present thought. And now, six albums into it, these principles have led them to make People Helping People. Composed in their studio of ten years in the "pre pandemic" times, then an eviction from said space, and finished deep in the midst at their new basecamp: Randy's Garage. It starts with an instrumental, too. First counter-intuition, best counter intuition! Nearly five minutes prelude Dean's debut vocal interjection - a zoom in from the upper atmosphere, Randy's guitar clouds pulsing with radiation, paced by spare, percussive accents. When the first song with singing ("Compact Flashes") bounces in on an insane synthetic beat, the only recognizable sound of No Age is a sputtering of enchanted clicks and creaks - muted guitar strings and drumkit rattlings that cycle for a full minute before voice song and snare fall into place. This is the sound of People Helping People: No Age, deep in the lab, scraping available nuclii together to see what new compound they find next. Erasing the starting points, reordering the pieces and beginning anew. It's an everyday mindset - and as the first No Age album recorded entirely by No Agee, People Helping People is a broadcast of entirely lived-in proportions. Side one ricochets expertly back and forth between magisterial instrumentals and sing-song forms cut up on the mixing desk, as with the undeniable hitness of "Plastic (You Want It)", winningly rewired to MIDI-mangled beat squelches. They don't really land on a straight up punk-style riff until it's almost time to flip the side, and even once they've got off on a run of rockers on side B, their aesthetic choices continuously reframe the norms, enhancing their inherent power. People Helping People finds their disparate desires operating in perfect sync; prolegomenic weirdness fused immaculately to classic rock propulsion, transforming the energy pouring out from their hands and feet with electronics. Dean's lyrics are like pieces taken off the belt at the factory and put together into a John Chamberlin-esque sculpture, meant to sit out in the rain. Randy's guitars, collaged into arrangements that reflect, again, boundless curiosity and exquisite restraint. This is People Helping People: unpretentious, suspicious, inviting, confident, left field. The most accurate display of the No Age ethos put to record. Yet!

No Bragging Rights are releasing a brand new self titled album. As a band we still felt we had more to say. Life took us all in different directions which made writing difficult. Anthony (Tron) joining the band was the spark and the resource we needed to start writing. Daniel would drive 2hrs to Tron’s studio in Tacoma to write and send the demo’d ideas. I was in my last year of undergrad so I would write lyrics/melodies over my Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. We hit the studio in January which was the first time Martin had seen Daniel or Tron since our last show in 2016. We feel that we were able to bring new elements to our sound without sacrificing our identity as a band.

Montreal’s No Joy—since 2009, a noisy four-piece shoegaze band, from 2015 onward, the sonic experiments of founding member and principal vocalist Jasamine White-Gluz has rejected convention, opting to find cohesion in vast, bold, indiscernible structures. In the beginning, the group excavated melodious riffs from squalling guitars, now, White-Gluz approaches songwriting with abstract meticulousness, no longer tethered to her six-string instrument. In 2018, it was the modular electronica of No Joy / Sonic Boom, an EP collaboration with Spaceman 3’s Pete Kember. In 2020, her first full-length as a soloist and No Joy’s first album in five years, Motherhood, her guitar returned for a genre-agnostic, maximalist treatise on aging. Fertility, family, death, birth, her voice heard loud in the mix, White-Gluz became a commanding force among the many-splendored sounds of trip-hop, trance, nu-metal, dance rock, and, of course, shoegaze, delivered through banjo, vibraphone, scrap metal, slap bass, even kitchen appliances. Who knew chaos could have such lucidity? Now, White-Gluz’s ever-expansive evolution has brought forth Can My Daughter See Me From Heaven, an EP reanimation of five songs from Motherhood, transformed by new orchestral instrumentalists: an opera singer, a cellist, a harpist, French horn musician. These songs, recorded entirely remotely, are not a correction. They are a spring rebirth—an opportunity to grow those tracks, similar to the transformation they would’ve undergone live, on stage. “Songs take on a new life when I’m on tour. These songs didn’t get that chance. I still had more to say with them,” White-Gluz explains. “I probably never would’ve been like ‘let’s get a bunch of classically trained players together,’ if it wasn’t for covid-19 canceling tours. This EP was an opportunity to do something that wasn’t obvious. It’s a bedroom recording, but it doesn’t sound like we recorded this in our bedrooms. I wanted to do something that sounded bigger than Motherhood did, and Motherhood was recorded before covid.” Where many musicians used last year’s disaster to look inward, releasing solitary, insular albums, No Joy did the opposite: “It was more, ‘Let’s try everything!’ Give me something to look at!”

To mark its ten year anniversary, Mexican Summer presents a new, limited edition pressing of No Joy’s classic album Wait to Pleasure expanded with two new tracks from the beloved band's original line up. Wait To Pleasure is the product of the Montreal noise-pop band’s first foray in a fullyfurnished studio environment. Here the band has flourished, delivering their finest set to date, rooted heavily in shoegaze ripcurls and devastating melody, finishing sentences whispered long ago with depth, variance and force. Singer-guitarists Jasamine White-Gluz and Laura Lloyd and drummer Garland Hastings knock down the fence between nostalgiaand modernity, chaos and control, in a perfectly- realized effort made to bridge their uncompromised musical pasts with the alarmist tendencies of the present. Wait To Pleasure found No Joy set loose in Mexican Summer’s studio, Gary’s Electric, for two weeks in 2012, with producer Jorge Elbrecht at the helm. “Our earlier records are purely guitar-based, rock band lineups,” Laura adds, “and with Wait To Pleasure we seized the opportunity to change things up a bit.”

Das war schon immer so, aber noch nie war der Kontrast so krass, das Dunkle und das Helle, die Sanftheit und die Aggressivität. Psychedelische Klänge, die an die Zeiten von The Doors und Pink Floyd erinnern, ringen mit düsterem Post-Punk in den Gassen von The Gun Club und Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds um Aufmerksamkeit. Mal tanzbar, mal introvertiert, immer spannend und ein wenig schräg. Schließen Sie die Augen und lassen Sie sich ins No Man's Valley führen...

Was macht man in diesen Zeiten? Zum Beispiel: Aufräumen -
den Kopf - den Keller.
Genau dabei finden NO MORE eine alte Demo-Kassette aus
dem Jahr 1987 mit einer Coverversion von „Summer Wine“,
bislang die einzige Aufnahme bei der Andy Schwarz und Tina
Sanudakura im Duett singen.
Das Vintage-Feel spricht die beiden sofort an und einige
Overdubs später haben sie sich schon auf die Reise gemacht.
Anja Huwe von Xmal Deutschland schickt ihnen eine alte
„Eisengrau“ Demoaufnahme als Inspiration. NO MORE spielen
den Song neu ein, verfremden ihn auf ungewohnte Weise.
Ihre Interpretation von Skeeter Davis‘ 1962er „The End Of
The World“ könnte auch aus einem David Lynch Film
stammen. Mit „Ice Age“ covern sie zum ersten Mal einen Joy
Division/Warsaw-Song, während „Venus In Furs“ schon seit
den 80ern fester Bestandteil im Live-Programm ist.
Und weil man schon dabei ist, bearbeiten NO MORE auch
gleich noch den Brel/Walker/Bowie Monolithen „My Death“.
