Toshiko Akiyoshi - Her Trio Her Quartet
  • A1: Kelo
  • A2: Salute To Shorty
  • A3: Pea, Bee And Lee
  • A4: Taking A Chance On Love
  • B1: All The Things You Are (4:32)
  • B2: No Moon At All (4:52)
  • B3: I'll Remember April (5:30)
  • B4: Thou Swell (4:55)

An engaging pianist whose crisp, forceful attacks take off from Bud Powell territory but go well beyond mere imitation, Akiyoshi is also a skilled composerarranger and ranks as one of the more acclaimed figures in the Bop-based Modern Big Band field. Her work in the latter category blends swinging, Gil Evans-esque arrangements with occasional Eastern influences, spotlighting top-notch soloists such as tenor saxophonist/flautist Lew Tabackin.

(...)About this session, recorded in July, 1956, Toshiko begins by saying of her altoist colleague, Boots played so beautifully on the session. Of my tunes, Salute to Shorty I originally wrote for ve horns. Pea, Bee and Lee I wrote for Lee Konitz (he does not know it.)' Henry W. Boots' Mussulli is an emotionally vehement modernist who has worked with Mal Hallett, Teddy Powell, Gene Krupa, Charlie Ventura, and has headed his own units. Boots along with bassist Wyatt Reuther, formerly with Dave Brubeck and Erroll Garner, and drummer Edmund Thigpen of the Billy Taylor trio is heard with Toshiko on all tracks but Pea, Bee and Lee, No Moon at All and Thou Swell. On these three. Oscar Pettiford, one of the major bassists in jazz history and the crisp, spearing Roy Haynes of the Sarah Vaughan entourage accompany Toshiko (...)

El Turco Loco - Boleroloco

09.12.2015

Fascinating warehouse find dating back to the 1996 Ambient / Electronica scene, which in retrospect can be seen as the most experimental and open-minded period in electronic music ever. Whilst the A-side features a long, calm and hypnotizing take on Ravel's most recognized piece - Bolero and, regarding the time of production, is nothing but an Ambient predecessor to the now popular crossover between electronic and (neo)classical music we see the three tracks on the B-side explore creeping slo-mo Illbient spheres and krauty Electronica and Jazz experimentalisms.

Luis Enriquez Bacalov - Lamica (o.s.t.)
  • A1: L'Amica (Titoli)
  • A2: Rio, Zona Sul
  • A3: Round Nassau
  • A4: Swingin' Easy In Tanganika
  • A5: Bonus Track: L'Amica (Ripresa)
  • B2: Autunno A Milano, Ore 6
  • B3: Elsinore
  • B4: The Bitter Truth (Vocal)
  • B5: Episodio In 3/4
  • B6: Taxi Cab 67
  • B7: Bonus Track: The Bitter Truth

The soundtrack of L'AMICA" from the title track highlights the excellent piano technique and the jazz vein of the Maestro mixed with exotic and erotic atmospheres characterized by extraordinary orchestration, harp, congas and the typical persuasive vocalism of those years (all by the great Nora Orlandi). It's followed by "Rio, Zona Sul", refined samba-jazz on a massive percussive tapestry. "'Round Nassau' offers an elegant and dreamy atmosphere in Les Baxter's style adding flute and female wordless vocals. "Swingin' easy in Tanganyika" is another extraordinary jazzy piano and drums with flute melody sideways. The side is closed by a previously unpublished version of the theme that was not included on the original Fonit Cetra LP.

The B-side rearranges the themes in a more melancholy and symphonic style without renouncing jazz as in the gem Episodio in 3/4". The ballad "The Bitter Truth" is well sung by Fiorenza Mormile in English

Maria Teresa Luciani - Free Jazz

  • A3: FREE JAZZ
  • A4: FREE FLUTE
  • A5: FREE FLUTE IN BEAT
  • B1: CRAZY MORNING
  • B2: PLAYING FOR FUN
  • B3: UNDERGROUND
  • B4: WALKING IN THE NIGHT
  • B5: FOTOGRAMMI
  • B6: FREE JAZZ SAMBA

Originally pressed in 1972 in Italy by Le Monde (a label which has in its catalog only 6 titles released in few copies for Radio and TV) is an insanely rare Library Music masterpiece. Absolute the hottest, weirdest, psych-jazz album of the era. Maria Teresa Luciani is the sister of Maestro Riccardo A. Luciani. The only known members of the session is the great Gino Marinacci on flute, here on his most obscure recording session, and Riccardo A. Luciani on all piano, fender rhodes and treated keyboard delays.

The whole Lp is outstanding with various moods and atmospheres from the groovy fuzz distortions of LOGARITMO IN DO, the funky B-boy drums and jazzy psychedelia of FREE FLUTE IN BEAT, the modal cum spiritual jazz of PLAYING FOR FUN to the frantic rhythms of TRAFFICO CAOTICO and CRAZY MORNING. Amazing hard bop on FOTOGRAMMI, experimental jazz on WALKING IN THE NIGHT and FREE JAZZ and the beautiful FREE FLUTE theme.

Outrageous drum skills, electric piano played with a wah wah pedal, studio effects and echo delays on the more psychedelic themes.

MUSICA AMORE is an extraordinary album (1972) by Maestro Piccioni which includes songs from various soundtracks showing his many facets. He utilizes the gorgeous voice of Shawn Robinson in "Right Or Wrong" and "Once and Again" (from giallo thriller ...Dopo di che, uccide il maschio e lo divora' aka "Marta' e "La Volpe Dalla Coda Di Velluto' aka "Eye Of The Hurricane'), the choir I Cantori Moderni di Alessandro Alessandroni, the band of I Marc 4 (M. Majorana, A. Vannucchi, R. Podium, C. Pes) and soloists of the caliber of Gianni Basso and Dino Piana.

An absolutely killer LP with superb arrangements, funky beats, exotic sounds ("Ebony Ride" from 077 Dall'Oriente Con Furore'), breaks, erotic lounge, beat, shake ("Abigaille" from I Giovani Tigri"), psychedelia ( Fiore Nero" from Inghilterra nuda"), and jazz, that stands as a key album in the world of Italian library music and soundtracks.

INCHIESTA SUL MONDO is a double experimental concept album, mainly electronic, on topical problems of the period in which it was released, the middle 1970's. The two records have two different arguments: STATI D'ANIMO (STATES ON MIND) and DIAGNOSI ECOLOGICA (ECOLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS). Maestro Luciani is a well-known artist in the library music scene. His very personal style is the result of musical studies from childhood that allowed him to achieve a diploma in composition, choral music, choral conducting, and more. The avant-garde and contemporary classical approach links him to artists like Egisto Macchi. Another point of contact between the two is the label that produced this double album, AYNA, which Macchi was a partner in.

The album comes out with a minimal graphic design as the original but with heavy cardboard gatefold cover with an original photo of the Maestro inside.

A tough, funky '70s instrumental score that perfectly fits the insane violence of this seldom-seen Lee Van Cleef hitman film! QUEL POMERIGGIO MALEDETTO (aka THE PERFECT KILLER) is one of the wildest, sleaziest Eurocrime movies ever made, it ultimately got made with Lee Van Cleef as the star and featuring such sexualized violence as a female getting shot in her nether regions, a straight-razor fight with trans women and some rapes that make you feel more uneasy than do most. But no rundown of the "stars" of this film could be complete without mentioning Stelvio Cipriani's funk score. Mind you, the '70s was already a funky decade of music, just as the Eurocrime genre was already a violent and sexual movement of cinema. But both Cipriani's score and the film pushed together to find new extremes of funkiness and raunchiness. Normally if someone hears playing '70s instrumental funk says, "What is this It sounds like porno music!" ... well, that's grounds for departing from his or her presence, perhaps not to return. It's terribly limited thinking to associate all instrumental funk from the decade with smut movies. And yet, I must confess there's a certain sleaziness (and I use that word lovingly) in Cipriani's MALEDETTO title track that perfectly evokes the on-screen tawdriness to come. The wah guitar. The prominent electric bass. The slithering, laid-back horns. It's an ingenious groove and yet dripping with sleaze.

And even though there's a laconic mid-tempo quality to the title theme, there's also something that drives it steadily forward. And that perfectly captures the doggedness and determination of Van Cleef's hitman character, who constantly pushes forward in his quest, even after he's been betrayed by his former partner, his new criminal organization and his woman. (In fact, it was QUEL POMERIGGIO MALEDETTO that crystalized in my mind how well the Eurocrime genre worked when operating within these "one man against the world" stories.) In any case, let all nerdy trivia questions fade away as you get lost in some magnificent, sleazy funk by maestro Cipriani. And we'll "see you in Hell, kitten.'

Frode Thingnaes - Feeling Alright

Feelin Alright is Frode Thingnæs first album. It is considered a Norwegian jazz masterpiece from 1974, a true holy grail amongst jazz collectors. It sells for high amounts online. It was originally released in small quantities with very limited distribution, mainly in Norway. Recorded in the 70's, combining funk, folk songs, jazz and soul, makes it an unique album that represents the contemporary 70's jazz scene in Norway.

This is the first official licensed re issue of the original album, exclusively through Preservation Records. We have found the original mastertapes in the national library vaults and the one and only Jan Erik Kongshaug have remastered it. He is considered oneof the grand masters of Sound engineering. Altogether, he has produced over 4,000 jazz records, and is particularly known for his recordings of some 700 recordings for ECM Records since the early 70's. A truly legend. He also plays at this session.

Originally released on CD/Digital in 2011, Sound Palace has remained an absentee in Dibi's vinyl catalog...until now. All of the songs have different styles and takes on what Soul music could be.

Plain Speaking is the lucid new release by Scallops Hotel, the candid alter ego of Chicago poet and producer Milo. A robust introduction for his new label imprint Ruby Yacht, the album blends experimental production and endearing beats with open, honest rhymes. Plain Speaking is profound yet accessible, a solid handhold to grasp onto amidst the chaos of the modern world. Easy yet serious, lighthearted and sincere, Plain Speaking immediately draws the listener inward. The album's first single Lavender Chunk' -- featuring Hemlock Ernst a.k.a. Samuel T. Herring of Future Islands -- leans back into a simpler time, remembered like a hazy dream. Slanting darker and submerged inside echoes, Tense Present' flips from contemplative flow into a stream of comforting clarity. True Nen' is a thoughtful track that breathes deeply, an offering of assurance over discord. Plain Speaking is a remedy, the cure for the common conversation. The familial tones and straightforward flow of Scallops Hotel function like an outstretched hand. Plain Speaking never pushes, rather it invites you to sit and listen. To have hope, and to heal through art.

With many new roads traveled over the last few years, The Gaslamp Killer is back with the full-length LP Instrumentalepathy. Releasing on vinyl, CD and digital formats, GLK will initiate his new imprint Cuss Records with Instrumentalepathy. French surrealism artist Albane Simon designed the cover, supplying an array of psychedelic imagery that contains a brilliant sense of connection to GLK's music & the chaos he's survived. Instrumentalepathy features an impressive cast of artists tied closely to GLK over his music career with Brainfeeder, Low End Theory and beyond. Guests include Gonjasufi, Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Niki Randa, Kid Moxie, Mophono, Amir Yaghmai and The Heliocentrics. It's been over a decade since GLK and Gonjasufi have collaborated on new music, bringing the two natives of San Diego back together for something truly special. As many know, GLK used the triumphs of battling a near death experience three years ago when shaping his debut Cuss Records album. A handful of the tracks were even captured from his bed, unable to walk, with morphine running through his veins and staples in his body. A musical illumination that one could argue helped save his life and steared him towards the achievements he has accumulated with his live band The Gaslamp Killer Experience. Instrumentalepathy marks the catalyst point of an important road for GLK and the electronic community at large. Instrumentelephy, like his latest releases, continues down the rabbit hole of his debut full length Breakthrough (Brainfeeder) and the recent live record with his band The Gaslamp Killer Experience. Molding psychedelic ethos and heavy drum breaks with the traditional music language of his ancestors and the futuristic landscapes of modern electronica, GLK continues to push the boundaries of contemporary music.

But Grover Washington Jr was not all about instrumentals: as well as featuring Bill Withers on 'Just The Two Of Us' check out Patti LaBelle's stunning vocals on 'The Best Is Yet To Come'. Also this package features tracks by Eric Gale, Bob James and Idris Muhammad where Grover is a featured artist, playing memorable sax solos. This album has the lot. Topped off with liner notes from Charles Waring, contributor to MOJO & Record Collector magazines.

Three Reeds Quintet - Across Two Centuries
  • 01: Across two centuries (F.Benedetti)
  • 02: Boo Doo (L.Konitz)
  • 03: Pablo's story (D.Liebman)
  • 04: Like a monkey in a rocket (F.Benedetti)
  • 05: Blue Rose (D.Ellington)
  • 06: Brite Piece (D.Liebman)
  • 07: Thingin' (L.Konitz)
  • 08: Blindfold test (F.Benedetti)
  • 09: Caruso (L.Dalla)
  • 10: Pendulum (R.Beirach)

The Three Reeds Quintet was born from three jazz musicians and instrumentalists reed that, who met nell'effervescente Paris eighties (Federico Benedetti there was a young student of Dave Liebman, Pratesi played in big bands that Benedetti ran, and he also shared different groups), they have decided to create this project, supported by the dramatic rhythm of Ghettos and Beggs. The album "Across Two Centuries" was realized with the support of AMF - Modern Music School of Ferrara and Bologna label To Be Jazz. Choosing the bold formula "pianoless" group, so no harmonic instrument, the "Three Reeds Quintet" definitely goes in the direction of the contrapuntal freedom of improvised interplay and exchange between members, and especially among the "three reeds "that they are the" front line ". The repertoire is heavily inspired by the group led by Elvin Jones Liebman who participated in the 70's (with Steve Grossman and Gene Perla on bass, blue notes historical record "Live at the Lighthouse" in 1972), and when the group plays a song, written by Liebman himself, "Brite piece". They are part of the repertoire compositions by Liebman, some of Benedetti, all in the style of "modal jazz" that developed in those years, and a couple of compositions by Lee Konitz, for whom "the three reeds" nourish a "cult" particularly . Instead of "tribute" to John Coltrane usual, often a must in concerts of Liebman, the quintet plays "Blue Rose" by Duke Ellington, considered the forerunner of the so-called "Coltrane Changes", showing how in jazz there has always been great consistency between tradition and innovation.

Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs have ransacked their record collections, with a helping hand from DJ Martin Green, to give you the sound of Piccadilly in December - baubles, bangles, tinsel and whisky macs. This is a decidedly London selection - Joe Henderson's 'Sleighride' has the distinct feel of Hampstead Heath rather than Lapland.
Homegrown rockers like Billy Fury and Adam Faith are found rubbing shoulders over a Christmas pint with John Barry and jazzers Kenny Baker and John Dankworth. Tricia Marks and Lyn Cornell provide festive glamour.
Saint Etienne member and pop historian Bob Stanley writes the sleevenotes. This is a soundtrack for the Hamley's shop window and a proper 60s UK time capsule.
- All UK recordings - The latest in the hugely successful 'Saint Etienne Presents' series. - Many tracks on CD for the first time - Not the same old Christmas songs!

Alien Ensemble - Alien Ensemble 2
  • 1: Arc Trilogy
  • 2: Morgenstimmung
  • 3: When Hamlet Left Town
  • 4: Sun
  • 5: Lenity
  • 6: Skeleton Dance
  • 7: Gedanken
  • 8: Loop D

God knows how Micha Acher manages to be part of so many different projects at once: Besides playing and recording with Alien Ensemble, he also plays tuba in the band Millipede, contributes trumpet parts to the "Landlergschwistern" and the "Hochzeitskapelle" oh, and then there's also this other indie band he's been working with - a certain group called The Notwist.
Micha Acher formed Alien Ensemble in 2010 as a passion project; he wanted to have a personal outlet that allowed him to, indeed, focus on his two greatest passions: playing trumpet and coming up with intricate, instrumental arrangements. The Ensemble's self-titled debut album was released in 2014 via Alien Transistor, the label Micha's been running together with his brother Markus since 2003.
Arriving in a similar vein as its predecessor, you'll hear everything from Jazz to Kraut, from Ambient to soundtrack-type music, from New Music to, well, even Pop (a recent addition) on the second album. "Yeah, we've tried to reduce everything to its core, and we absolutely wanted to steer clear of classic jazz elements. For example, you'll hardly hear any solo parts on this one."
Playing more and more shows has, over time, turned "this project into a proper band" as Acher explains: "At this point, each of us has really found his place in the dynamic of the group - also in terms of how we write and compose." A case in point being the new track "Skeleton Dance" which was written by Andi Haberl, who usually plays drums with The Notwist. It's a track that perfectly showcases the Krautrock influences shared by the members: A beat that can only be described as stoical, a banjo that settles on one (!) chord and stays there all the way till the end, topped off by amazing melodies that shape shift and interlock just beautifully.
That said, a tune like "Gedanken" written by trombone player Matthias Goetz, who also plays in the band Millipede with both Acher brothers, sounds incredibly pop for an Alien Ensemble track. At least it's the Ensemble's definition of pop: a slow-moving lower end, contributed by Haberl (drums) and Matthias Pichler (bass), that has an almost hip-hop feel to it, topped off with searing melodies that sound incredibly sweet and soothing - though never corny.
Although played and performed with a certain cool, a seasoned, nonchalant attitude, there's nothing cold or dispassionate about these recordings. Instead, the new material's emotional depth is already present in album opener (and key track) "ARC Trilogie". What starts out as an almost classic Cool Jazz song, suddenly disintegrates and makes way for the only solo part you'll hear on "II": Far from delivering what you'd expect, though, double bass player Matthias Pichler uses a bow - and takes us into unexpected New Music territory. After that, it's The Notwist's Karl-Ivar Refseth (vibraphone) who manages to steer the track towards altogether different, more ambient-sounding spheres.
In short: The shape-shifting harmonies and arrangements presented by Alien Ensemble on this album are never predictable, never what you'd expect them to be. Moving as a perfectly tight entity, the Ensemble keeps breaking new ground, creating one set of colorful hues after the next. And yet, each moment of this album has understatement written all over it: It's an album that's stunningly compact and coherent. Says Micha Acher: "Well, we recorded it in just one day. Things were really relaxed and easy."

  • Rocket Number Nine
  • Ankhnation
  • Project Black Mass

Among Sun Ra's most famous and jet-propelled anthems, "Rocket Number Nine" is heard here in one of the earliest renditions from a marathon June 1960 session, with a staggering, swaggering, hip-bop beat. Ignition. Liftoff. "Rocket Number Nine Take Off for the Planet Venus, Zoom Zoom! Up in the air! Zoom! Up!" Paired with originally unknown recordings, including the driving, bossa nova-infused "Ankhnation" from 1959 and "Project Black Mass" from 1962. More energized and driving in contrast with the rather laconic subsequent versions appearing elsewhere, "Ankhnation" features a feast of traded solos from assorted Arkestral all-stars such as John Gilmore, Pat Patrick, and Hobart Dotson. "Project Black Mass" is straight from the Vaults of Mystery: Voice of the Cosmos in spirit-science precision. Romping, rumbling low tones, glittering, twinkling stars, wanderful wondering. Architecture of moments, milestones of Blackness. Extension out.

Sun Ra - Lady With The Golden Stockings
  • Lady With The Golden Stockings
  • Spontaneous Simplicity
  • Love in Outer Space

"The Lady With The Golden Stockings" is a propulsive, forthright groove - a decisive, deep-space, pre-dawn party jam, emitting golden sparks from the black hole center which begat "Africa" and "Watusa." Quantum-elasticity of temporal equations, bubbling bass, trumpet dancing on light waves, tenor sax serenade across the galaxy, signaling yonder... vessels... beings... femaliens... Pure poetry in sublime, delicate, rhythmelodic motion becomes "Spontaneous Simplicity.' A centerpiece among the gently blissful, tender works in the Sun Ra canon, heard here in a "missing link" super rare, compact version freshly excavated from the '58-'59 era - this is the first appearance of the tune (pre-dating by a decade the stretched-out live version first known from Pictures of Infinity). Ra's electric piano bass and the roots-heavy organic beats characteristic of the seminal Nubians sessions providing ballast, Marshall Allen's flute flutters butterfly wings, guiding the ship steadfastly beyond the eternal, to the everpresent, the other side of the end of time. The title "Love in Outer Space" first appeared in 1962 on the Saturn album Secrets of the Sun. The backing track here is from the intimate Night of the Purple Moon, originally a 1970 album instrumental, with David Henderson's vocal overlaid and issued on a Saturn 7-inch 45 in 1975. Henderson (known for 1960s work with Umbra collective and the Black Arts movement, performance on Ornette Coleman's Science Fiction plus early scholarship on Jimi Hendrix), provides his own lyrics, singing: Sunrise in Outer Space, Love for Every Face.' With the emergence of this vocal version and the ascension of the Sun Ra Arkestra's mid-seventies popularity, onstage the tune became a quintessential Ra anthem, a vehicle for frenzied acrobatics and organ-asmic drum-orgies of hyper ecstatic proportion. Utopian yearnings of space commune Sun Children, escape velocity

  • Nuclear War
  • Outer Reach Intense Energy
  • Twilight

"Nuclear War," Sun Ra's groove-infested x-rated warning, was an early 80s underground hit when it appeared on a 12-inch (plus the Saturn album A Fireside Chat With Lucifer). Ra and crew expose the deathly horror with deadly serious call-and-response, leavened with funk and a pinch of humor for better digestion, eyes gleaming in a laid-back, lilting, cosmo-gangster-lean. "Outer Reach Intense Energy" and "Twilight" are originally unreleased works, sonically extending the radioactive theme. "Outer Reach" (1977) is a soundclash of explosion and fallout, planetary screams, whistling missiles, eternal agony, detonation, damnation. Dashed hopes and dreams blasted to the farthest nebulae. Twilight," recorded at the Tip-Top Club in 1963, exhibits Sun Ra's xylophonic electric piano laced with clouds of mournful horns, teetering on madness, an impossible circus, bordering on redemption in the wilderness of the Sun's possible return.

'Joy' is BBF's fourth album and the first one to be truly vocalist-focused and song-centric.

With the help of Canadian poet-singer Beaver Sheppard who played an prominent role the composition, BBF explore what the band-members describe as 'post-religious' themes, such as struggling to find joy in times of uncertainty and instability. This makes it without any doubt BBF's 'Nietzsche album'.

Following on from their latest album 'Miami' (2013) BBF keeps moving away from the dark mood of their early releases and the image of a 'classical new music ensemble' to resemble more closely an 'experimental rock band'. With much more grit and growl than before, they draw upon genres and styles that are not conventionally associated with joy: krautrock, punk, drum'n'bass, indie rock, new wave, and pretty much every other '-wave' from the 80s.

With each track offering a contrasting combination of styles and genres, BFF succeed in devoting a whole album to a single feeling without making it either monotone or cliché. Instead, they build on euphoria to expand and enrich electronic music's emotional range with new textures. More than an album, it is an emotional journey.

Atomic Rooster - Atomic Rooster

The incipient incarnation of Atomic Rooster with Vincent Crane (organ/vocals), Nick Graham (vocals/bass), and Carl Palmer (drums) was together just long enough to document its 1970 debut. Prior to the last-minute addition of Graham-- the only bassist Atomic Rooster ever had -- the band emerged from the remnants of the then recently defunct Crazy World of Arthur Brown.
The material was primarily courtesy of Crane and consisted of heavy and versatile sides. The versatility is evident throughout the impressive array of styles ranging from the folk-inspired pastoral songs via bluesy horn arrangement and contrasting driving rockers and jazzy spells. Lyrically, Crane reveals his penchant for dark imagery. Support at the time was bolstered by strong live appearances, positive word-of-mouth, and significant BBC Radio sessions.

REPRESSED! Rhythm master Klaus Weiss knew he had a good thing going with NIAGARA. The first album was a gathering of every outstanding drummer and percussionist he could get hold of and despite the fact that there were only rhythm instruments featured , it became quite a memorable and unique record. Now for the second album "S.U.B." he felt he had to go other ways, and recorded with a complete rock outfit plus the one or another brass instrument. - S.U.B. is definitely worth being traded for 180,00 Euros and more among collectors for a clean original and when the needle hits the groove you will realize why. There is a tightly woven web of rhythms from drums and percussions, as the solid and ever pulsating base with a laid back but really present bass guitar adding more depth and power to the beats and clean rhythm guitars with a nifty wah wah effect for the extra kick. From time to time the guitars fire off a memorable steaming riff on top of the rhythm pulse and the horns answer the call for arms. You really have to look at the backcover to find out that this is a German outfit instead of one of these utterly hot and hip US funk rock cult bands of the time. NIAGARA aka Klaus Weiss waive the vocals so it is an instrumental record you face with - S.U.B , but then this band goes so wild in some of the compositions, that you will be left breathless on your knees by all these simmering performances. Each musician participating in this project is a professional, but they all let the music erupt into a climax of sound you can only achieve, when you put your whole heart and soul into it. A masterpiece of funky and utterly unleashed rock music from the early 70s.
